Review Spice Terrace - Bengaluru

The place is a perfect peaceful getaway from the hectics of the city. We have taken a celebration package for our anniversary and this place ticks all the check boxes. The decoration was great, we got poolside sitting, the service was the best with Arun and Varnit helping us all the way and finally the food was a perfect balance I haven't had for a while. Although this place might be a little pricey for some but trust me it is all worth it! I would recommend this place to all and if you have special requests, Varnit will make sure to complete it AMAP.

A restaurant that offers a gastronomic journey through authentic North Indian cuisine, where each dish is meticulously crafted to deliver a supreme taste that captivates your senses! The combination of these delectable flavours with the ambiance of a poolside table adds an extra layer of enchantment to your dining experience😀. The gentle breeze and calming music further elevate the atmosphere, transforming your time at Spice Terrace into a truly magical and memorable occasion.

The Spice terrace is really an awesome place. 🤩 Ambience is classy and soothing.😌 The place will surely give you the good vibes and the view.😉😎 This is basically a poolside restaurant. If you get a chance please book/take the table near to the pool..... that will be amazing 😁😁 Talking about food taste is average not too good I can say(vegetarian). 🙁 Food is very much pricey as it's an luxury place but as per the taste and quality it's unfair. 💸💸 Food: ⭐⭐⭐ Service was good and staff was attentive: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐++

The Spice patio is a fantastic location. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. The area will undoubtedly make you feel nice and provide a beautiful outlook. Essentially, this is a restaurant beside the pool. Please reserve/take the table by the pool if you have the chance; it will be fantastic. Speaking of food, I'd say the taste is decent and not particularly good (vegetarian).

I recently visited the Spice Terrace restaurant in Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru, and I must say that I had an amazing experience. The food was presented in an authentic and modern way, which made it even more enjoyable. The presentation was top-notch! The menu had a wide variety of delicious dishes that included North Indian, South Indian, Chinese and Continental food. The prices were quite reasonable and the quality was excellent. I had the fish curry and tandoori prawns, and both were cooked to perfection, with the right balance of spices. The service was also prompt and polite, which added to the experience. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Bengaluru who wants to enjoy some authentic yet tasty Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes.

Great restaurant with awesome food and great service. Everyone was so nice, especially Kritika was so nice, she explained the details of the food as I am not familiar to this region food.

"Spice Restaurant is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic North Indian cuisine! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The menu boasts a wide array of flavorful vegetarian dishes that truly capture the essence of Indian spices and flavors. Each dish, from the aromatic biryanis to the creamy curries, was impeccably prepared and left me craving more. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Spice Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious vegetarian North Indian cuisine served with a side of delightful hospitality!"

So we went for birthday dinner and the experience is what an 5 star can offer. From starting during day they enquired multiple times when we will come what food we like. The pool side allocation is all nice with very courteous staff. Shruti who was welcoming guest is top on her work. Kudos to team as well.

Essentially, this is a restaurant beside the pool. Please reserve/take the table by the pool if you have the chance; it will be fantastic. Speaking of food, I'd say the taste is decent and not particularly good (vegetarian). Due to the luxurious setting, food is highly expensive, which is unjust given the taste and quality. This is wonderful restaurant and hotel. The internal acoustics are excellent, creating a solid and positive environment. There is amazing food quality and flavour. Very different ambience and variety of taste you can experience a great taste of food. Definitely one of the best restaurants to visit at any time, and it was a very pleasant experience and good place in the city.

In the entire city, this is one of the top restaurants. The internal acoustics are excellent, creating a solid and positive environment. There is amazing food quality and flavour. Very courteous and on-time service is provided by the workers. Parties for birthdays or other occasions can also be planned here. This has to be one of Delhi's most exceptional Indian restaurants. The presentation is both exquisite and innovative, even though it draws inspiration from traditional dishes and street food. You can get a glimpse of the culinary creativity through the photos. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, making it hard to resist, even when we were full. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan options, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff is top-notch, combining professionalism with friendliness and a willingness to explain the names of the Indian dishes. I'm still thinking about the amazing flavors, and I eagerly anticipate returning to Indian Accent on our next trip to Delhi. If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience, look no further - the Indian Accent team deserves a big thank you for a fantastic evening.

This is one of the most sophisticated places in Bangalore to visit. Good food and good ambience. An evening well spent.

We were seated by the pool which is the only upside to this place.
The vegetarian starters were nothing to write about either in terms of taste or presentation. One of the key things missing is the feel good factor when you visit a restaurant in JW Marriot. The main course was decent especially the breads & Dal Makhani. The wine sangria though not on the menu but was prepared on special request was good. The service is a let down since they had just 2 ppl serving about 5 tables so we needed to wait in between to get their attention. Not the kind of service I expect when we are paying so much more. Also note the ladies room really needs an upgrade badly. It’s shabby and outdated.
Maaz Ur Rehman
Don't waste time and money in this place, because the staff is rude. Specially the manager guy at the entrance who doesn't even care if it's a birthday and says won't give a complimentary cake. Where as every other restaurant in jw gives it
Sucks to the core
Aadav Agate
Had a fantastic time here. A special mention to Suyata who took extra special care of us and made sure went according to plan.. Great experience, great staff, a fantastic day..

Worst restaurant you can enter. Don’t go there if you don’t want to ruin your day or night. Stay away. Run.

Extremely bad service, I repeat extremely bad service! The food is below average.

One of the best places in the city to enjoy a romantic date or to enjoy a night of celebration. Spice Terrace is a North Indian restaurant located in JW Marriott on Lavelle Road. An open sky place with a swimming pool on it’s side and a view of UB City and KF Towers. There is seating on either side of the pool. The dining area near the bar is actually very charming, decked up with chic furniture and pretty green plants. On one side of the pool are individual seating areas like tents for larger groups to enjoy some privacy.

Everything on the menu was amazing. They do have a good choice of wine collection in their menu. If you are unsure about what to order, you can always ask them to help you a little. The food that we ordered for the evening was scrumptious and delightful. It takes a little time to prepare your order but it is definitely worth the wait. The people are highly professional, friendly, and pamper you with their impeccable service. It really is a beautiful spot to have a romantic night under the stars with good food and wine, leisurely.

P.S. The Jodhpuri Paneer Tikka is a must try

Great experience. Staffs are very polite and courteous. Ambience is calm and beautiful. You will definitely enjoy the time over there. Food is good and delicious. It's very calm and quiet. I love it and would like to visit again. The menu is good. Lots of options are there starting from low spicy to normal spicy. Overall it was a very great experience.

Ambience: 5/5
Food: 5/5
Staff:5/5

Had been there to ask my "now fiancee's" out ;) courteous and helpful staff. They even decorated the table and arranged a cake with a personalized message!

The food is worth the price. We had Afghani Murg for appetizers, a Jhinga Tawa Masala along with rice for the main course, and it was so delectable. A lovely place to go out for a date. Thumbs up!

The ambience and service are good! The restaurant is on the terrace with pool side seating as well as seating by the bar- no a/c, so choose the time of your visit wisely. The sweet asian style cashews they serve with the drinks are so yummy! The Indian food here is very good- we tried quite a few dishes over the past visits and they never disappoint you.

Marriott lives up to it's brand name always!
The food, ambience and the staff is great and lives up to Marriott's brand name. The poolside adds to the romantic ambience of this place.
Service and staff is awesome as always. Best suited for a fancy meal to celebrate a special occasion. The place is in the heart of Bangalore making it even better.
Cheers to the Marriott team for the amazing services and food!

Spice Terrace At JW Marriott is a well designed Indian speciality open sky poolside dining restaurant with views of ub city, we went for dinner & opted for the non veg set menu, set menu had good variety of starters, main course, desserts and it’s unlimited, taste was good, service was perfect.
Overall a wonderful dining experience!

Spice terrace is one exotic restaurant and with a personal touch our arrangement was a top class as it was my folks wedding anniversary, they enjoyed the meal too. We had a candle light dinner booked on private basis, Guneet (the manager) gave extra attention to details, food was to relish every bite. Thank you spice terrace and team for everything!

Splendid Spice Terrace! I would say.
It was an incredible experience.
Ambience is lit!
Food is too yum...
Paneer tikka was to die for 🤤
I don’t eat non veg, but my brother and mum both loved the fish too. Apparently it was too soft and juicy.
I also had a veg pulao which was too yum.
Butter roti and chicken curry was great said my brother.
Hospitality was amazing!
I was there with my family for my mom’s birthday.
Couldn’t have asked for a better hospitality, food and the ambience.
Everything was perfect!
My mum loved it!

Ambiance- 5/5
Food- 4/5
Staff- 4/5

Amazing ambiance with rooftop and poolside dining, perfect location for a romantic date, we had been there on Saturday night and the weather was pretty amazing, more of positive and happy vibes.
The food was not bad but doesn't really matter when the ambiance is such pretty.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
I definitely recommend this place. A must visit place.
For the perfect dining you can take next to the pool dining insted of one near the bar.
Yatendra Bihani
We went there in a group of 4 on the night of the event in Marriott for the Linkin Park Tribute. Thought we would have something before getting in.

Ambiance: really really nice setting by the pool. Dimly lit but blocked off air and since it wasn't air conditioned near the brewery unit it got warm every now and then.

The food: we didn't order much but did the subz mawa seekh and jodhpuri paneer Tikka I think. The paneer was to die for, super soft and amazing.
Apart from this, we ordered a red wine bottle. Can't comment on the wine because I don't drink but it was good apparently.

Now comes the reason for the rating:

We did order a beer sampler which was quite bad like something was rotting. It tasted terribly bitter and this is not like our first rodeo with brewed beer. We have had 11% (alc v/v) beers too but this was something else.
The attendant seemed like an intern. We offered him to taste it but he just defended the beer after saying that he didn't drink at all. I take it he was just trying to do his best but..

They didn't charge us for the beer sampler but it was a big let down. I would like to urge the management to do something about it. Maybe it was a one-off.

Also, what's with the credit card POS machine? It worked for one card and didn't after that. I had to shell out cash! :/

In summary, ambiance is good. Food is fine but the beer is to watch out for.

It was the eve of our anniversary celebration. We chose this place and it turned out to be the right decision. The Ambience was perfect with a poolside table reserved for us. We ordered laal maas with amrutsari kulcha as main course and it was delicious. The drinks specially the Martini Rosso was great. They made it special by a yummy chocolate cake as a gift for anniversary. The service was really great. I definitely recommend to visit and enjoy their food and service.

Tasty food, lovely ambience and great service by Tarif and Kedue! :) Amongst the best places to have vegetarian North Indian cuisine and so worth the money spent :p P.S. I highly recommend chef's special papad paneer masala!
Parth Panchal
Good wheat beer, great food options, calculated quantity and very nice outdoor seating alongside a pool. Craft beer availability could be better and food is quite costly. Overall a decent experience.

Discover the essence of Rajasthani cuisine with Royal thalis and regal ambience along with a live performance by Jodhpuri Langa artists.

What I relished -
Welcome drink - Dhungar Chaas 👌🏻
Appetizers - Pyaazi Murgh Tikka, Maas ke Sooley, Kute laal mirch ka Murgi Tikka (Non - veg) 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Main course -
Sides - Mirchi ka Vada, Pyaaz Kachori, Ker Sangri 😍😋
On Thali - Dal Panchmel, Aloo hari mirch, Khichdi, Sev Tamatar ki Subzi, Mohan Maas, Jungli Murgi, Churma and Kheema Bati 😋😋😋
Methi Bajra Poori, Missi Roti and Ghee Phulka
Desserts - Malai Ghewar and Moong Dal Halwa 👌🏻😍

The poolside dinner with a variety of dishes in my Thali and an awe-inspiring performance by Rajasthani Langa artists on the background literally transported me to the incredible Rajasthan for some time. The heritage fare curated exclusively by Chef Ishant was simply an indelible experience.

The fest is on till 27th June at Spice Terrace.

Unique experience with respect to ambience staff, food. Do order Awadhi gosht galawad as appetizer. Unique taste. Cannot be replicated !. We had gone for our anniversary and they were tending to all our needs. We were given a pool side table. At the end, we were presented with a delicious cake on the house. I would recommend this place to anyone who would want to celebrate any special occasion.

Well it's Marriott so the hospitality is exceptional. The in-house brewery has very smooth beer. The poolside view and shades of colour coming from nearby UB City makes ambience exceptional, must visit for special occasions

Visited on a Friday rainy night . There was no crowd due to the rain . Tried the blonde craft beer , it was amazing . Unhappy with the food though . Tried both veg and veg platter but the food was not upto the expectations. The prices are on the heavier side . The staff were very courteous .
SF
Great ambiance. Poolside. Awesome food. Good craft beer, if you're into that kind of thing. Bit pricey naturally, but worth it.

The only slight negative feedback is that service has now become very slow in the noon. We actually got our starters today after finishing two rounds of beers. Even water service etc was either slow or non existent. Very disappointing at these premium prices.

Been to this place for dinner the food is amazing with some awesome staff service and was awesome
Be nice experience with good food and amazing customer service
The chef was really friendly and helpful in all ways
Can go anytime n will not be disappointed
Dal makhani is just too good and must try dish at this place

I have been to JW Marriott quite a few times and thus to spice terrace as well. Ambience is good. You can opt to be seated next to the pool which is breezy or next to the bar as well. Main course is definitely better than the starters. Staffs are courteous and well trained. Keep your pockets extra heavy for this one folks and enjoy with your near and dear ones!
Sayanti Biswas
Excellent Ambience. Food is good if not great. Should have choices of good desert. Overall it was a very good experience. Thank you for your service.

This place has always been my plan b. I love the food; Indian cuisine in particular, assortment of wine and champagne is a sucker. But it somehow doesn’t seem pleasing enough. Everything seems alright but it still feels blah. Could be the old architecture or the name. A renovation might make me want to come back.

Spice Terrace is an epitome of North Indian cuisine and surely they perfected it. Chef Ishant Khanna has added an extra touch to the new menu and we were blown. Spice terrace is one of the premiere microbreweries in Bangalore in JW Marriott.

*Ambience*
As the name suggests, it is a terrace poolside restaurant overlooking Ub city on one side and the giant JW property on one. Beautiful trees with crisp Bangalore evening overlooks with live music on one side.

*Food*
Among the new dishes, I must recommend trying the following in appetizers :

🔹Rajma and Dhingri ki Galawti - galauti kebabs of kidney beans
🔹Bhatti Da Kukkad - which is a chicken leg piece.
🔹Sarso Mahi Tikki - one of my favorite from the lot with Mahi fish cooked on a tandoor.
🔹Chownk Ki Tikki - an assortment of potato ans peas and deep fried.
🔹Kalonji Bhindi - lady finger cooked with an assortment of spices and onions.
🔹Chicken Dum Biryani - long lentils of rice cooked with roasted chicken pieces.

In mains, we started with :

🔹Our favourite Dal Makhani - which actually impressed me a lot. Lentils cooked for the perfect time and the right color. The sweetness could be a little less.
🔹Makhan Chicken Masala - This is basically butter chicken minus the sweetness.
We had this with tandoori Roti and lachha Paratha and weren't disappointed.

*Desserts*
We had Gulab ki Kheer and Mewa Gulab Jamun which was too sweet to my liking.

Happy Eating !

First of all the menu in Zomato is the old one(date 6th March'19). I had amrisari macchi... It was dark brown from outside and chewy like kingfish from inside. It tasted like rohu with less spice... Nothing special. Then I tasted their signature lamb dish(can't remember the name) it's tangy. First I thought it was the overusage of tomato, which it was. Then I came to knew from chef, they use pickled onions. The taste is so tangy, I couldn't even get another taste in it. The lamb was soft though. But Very average food it was. Although the kulcha was good, but, if you ever had kulcha in Delhi street also, forget abt it. And the salad wasn't impressive enough to tickle my taste buds. Rest, the ambience was suffocating. I didn't get the pool side area as some unknown event was going on. I was seated in a corner area which had a warehouse like feeling. It was my marriage anniversary and the staff and the chef were generous enough to make my day special looking at my disappointment but the seating arrangement is so bad that I wanted to run away after paying the bill! You can see the images i shared for more ideas.

We were staying in the hotel and visited them for afternoon beer. They have amazing micro brews , I had Saint Martin Abbey triple and wheat beer. Both were amazing. The triple is one of the best I had in Bangalore(as good as ABC may be). The ambience is second to none and service is good as well .

Good place nice food great ambience. Liked it quite much . It is in lavelle road . Location is good . Food was also okay . Very close by to the city .

This place is a perfect for a lovely romantic evening. The ambience is LIT. The service is great. Most importantly the food was super yummy. I just can’t wait to get back there. This anniversary evening of our was made even spcl by this yummy complimentary cake which was so delicious that no other cafe or cake shop could compete with
Siddharth Singh
Amazing place for dine and food is amazing. I belong to Delhi and first time when I ate over there I got feeling of delhi food. And when it comes to JW you know how good they’re in their customer satisfaction.
Pranav Sharma
This is the worst place I have been, I came here on valentines days and I was left unattended for more than an hour, this place is so elite but the basic customer satisfaction is zero.

Really not happy, will never come back and would request people to not come back too. Spoiled my evening badly.
Sushmita Bhowmick
Ambiance and service was good. Should try Shahi Tukda. It was really nice. Have been there to celebrate my birthday. They gave us a complimentary cake at the end of our dinner. The cake was awesome in taste. Good place to go for a romantic date.
Apurva Bhatnagar
Super ambience! Good service and some really innovative food recipies. Though this place is known for their beer, I feel there’s a scope for improvement here when compared to other breweries like Windmills Craftswork or TOIT. Overall, a must go. The best part was there were seats available on a Friday eve!
Banreet
Lovely place with courteous staff (special thanks to Kartik). Had a pleasant dinner by the poolside. Would recommend 10/10 if you want to spend some quality time with a serene setting.
They even went out of their way to give a bouquet, knowing it was a special night! 😬 💐
Joe
Well one of the most perfect ambience for an afternoon beer...new one in town! The beer here is slightly stronger than other breweries..Martin white and Martin tripple is what we had... Martin white is your traditional Belgian wheat beer..it's cloudy and slightly sweetish...tripple is their strongest beer.. ordered some chicken Tikka pizza, mutton sheekh, french fries and veg nachos... mutton sheekh and chicken pizza was fabulous...chicken tikka was very marinated before a topping on a pizza and mutton sheekh was soft and tendor...the beer is just about okayish but it's strong..it's a nice try guys!!
Vinay Inamdar
It is a decent place. The food was good. Met expectations. Though on value for money, I would still prefer many other 5* hotel restaurants in that area.
We had gone for a special occasion and had booked the table accordingly. We expected a small cake or a private seating which is usually taken care of in these kind of restaurants which was a let down.
Sreesh Sreenivas
This is a late review, but nonetheless wanted to write one as I just recommended this to a friend.

We had their set menu for dinner on the occasion of my wife's birthday. The food was exemplarily presented and the taste was very good. The portions were good and the ambience was fantastic. And guess what they threw in a cake just for the occasion.

Right by the pool, a good view of the tall buildings next, and quiet place even though there were lot of people in.

The best thing was the customer service, in spite of the heavy rains while having dinner, we were really well taken care off, without hampering our dinner experience, which made the rain experience even more memorable.

The person serving us food, was very courteous, and generous with his servings.

I recommend this place too anyone who wants to take their special someone for an evening of fine dining.

Looking forward for my next visit to this place.

Regards
Sreesh

This place is simply surreal! Its beautiful and the ambience is very soothing! The food is delicious and the staff is very courteous and very friendly! Do try the Khila phool kabab and Nalli ghosht! Also their Ghost Dum Biryani is simply yum! It was my birthday when i went and they made it absolutely special!

The only question which I always have when we go to places with such high value ( like Marriott), do you really care for the service of your customers ? Well the preview of the review says to be polite and sweet, I rather feel disappointed after dinner at such places.

Anniversary dinner gone bad part -2 .

Front desk of the restaurant empty , not only for us but for most the guests who visited there.

Zomato you might as well remove the table booking option for this restaurant, because apparently Indians don’t get any preference even with reservation.

Limited food options for vegetarians.

We had the orange and potato mash starter - it was okaish .
Broccoli and fennel starter - this was good, but should have gone lighter with the fennel as we couldn’t taste broccoli beyond a point.
Vegetable dum biryani is tasty but the accomplishment gravy was sweet, though the raita was yummy.

I requested the restaurant to make our dinner special which they totally forgot. I mean what does it take for the restaurant to serve your Indian guests equally as your foreign guests.

Food - 2.5/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambience - 3.5/5
Value for money - 3/5

I booked a table for Saturday night for my anniversary through call. After confirming twice I reached there just to find the restaurant was pre booked for a corporate event. They were not letting us in and were on the verge of spoiling my day denying that I didn’t call at all. After fighting for 15 mins they gave us a table at the corner but due to the event going on, there was loud music and too much of crowd around. Food and wine was nice. But it could have been a great evening for me if it would have gone the way I expected and for the price I paid for it.
Somya Satpathy
I went this place to celebrate a special evening ☺️
The ambience is just the way I like it..pool side table, not too crowded and the exact amount of light 🥰 the food was 4/5 however I give my rating just for the ambience and the waiters were very hospitable...
Great experience 😬
Akash Agarwal
It was alright. I was not blown away. Was hoping the berry berry drink to be more fruity rather a mixture of crushes & syrups. The ambience is great & the staff is very polite. Food was good too. I think they can be a bit more generous when it comes to serving size of the main course dishes as I found it minimum and not sufficient.
Sachin Dhir
Really nice ambience, pool side seating loved the service. Awesome food tried the veg and non veg buffet. The food is on the expensive side. Budget for two around 4-5k easily.

Ohhhh if you are heading here the key should be the ambience !! Is just fabulous .... Was here with my friend and her sister and we had a great time . The food menu even though limited in options had some good food which merry our expections of being at five star hotels restaurants !! Although the mojito left a lot to be desired but the ambience and company of great friends made up for it !! World definitely visit here some time again

Horrible service, rating it 2 for its ambience veg and non veg dishes were equally bad, be it ajwani paneer or chicken starter only saviour was bawli handi n some naan. N ya y do they offer free birthday cakes if they can’t keep up the standards??? I wish I had not gone over board with just the pics of the place and read some reviews as well.

Perfect gateway for an romantic poolside evening . Food is good. Ambiance is superb. Staff is super humble and friendly. Special thanks for the complementary cake, as it was our wedding anniversary.Very happy with overall experience.

We went there to celebrate my Husband’s birthday. The ambience is good but the service was not upto mark.
Starter was really good, we ordered a veg fenugreek kebab.
Main course was paneer tikka masala but it was nowhere close to the actual paneer tikka masala and left us absolutely disappointed.
Rotis were decent. We ordered a missi roti and one pudina roti.
Special mention about the waiter who served us, for some reason he was in a super hurry to clear our plates, he took away my husband’s plate while he was eating, literally snatched it under his nose and this was done twice to him and once to me! Not sure why he acted that way!
The dessert was shahi tukda and kulfi falooda. Shahi tukda was an absolute disappointment while kulfi falooda was bearable.
We had a lot of expectations from the restaurant after looking at the reviews and the brand name it carries, but probably it was just not the right day today.

Poolside table, dim lights and serene ambience what else do you want for a perfect dinner???? I had a dinner at Spice Terrace and I must say my experience was really good. First of all full marks for food, we ordered vegetarian dishes and the taste was really awesome. Service was as usual very courteous and cherry on the top was a cake which they arranged for my wife's bday, it was really delicious. I have deducted 1 star only for drinks, their craft beers need some improvement if you compare them with top microbreweries in Bangalore.

This is one of the most beautiful five star decor in the city! I went here on my birthday and the generosity and courteousness of the Team is worth a praise.
There can be nothing better than what it is!

One of the best places to be at on a Saturday night!
Foot tapping music and great food! What else do you say about a five star restaurant? Definitely visit this place to ward off those weekly blues. Highly recommend it.

Sumptuous food, very courteous staff esp Chef Devender who took extra care of our taste buds and preferences. Special attention was given to my kid. Enjoyed a perfect family dinner. Highly recommended.

One of the best lazy Sunday afternoon by the pool at Jw's spice terrace. It was a pleasant surprise to find out there is a brewery with some of the special craft beer by a dedicated brewmaster. The new menu is specially designed to pair well with the beers available on the tap.

It was very kind of Chef Sumeet to join us and tell about how each dish on the menu is a result of his travel and food journey . Lucky for us Chef Sumeet decided o take the lead and place the order for his favourites.

We began with Edamame beans and I have to admit they were vulgarly addictive, The sushi platter was absolutely delectable. Gooler Kebabs were quite a surprise, who knew plantain could taste so heavenly.

Chingmai Chicken was hands down the star and went perfectly well with the stout !

Overall a fine experience and a lovely afternoon spet with my bestie, great food and a view that soothes the soul.

I have been to this place on a Friday night.. Not much crowd , and a silent one.
Ambience is good with pool on vicinity and open terrace . Not a roof top though. Lite music..
Food and service is really good.
Chicken , prawns and even veg items were really awesome. One of the best when it comes to food..
its but pricy than other restaurants so if you have a good budget and looking for a romantic dinner with light music and silent crowd this one should be your destination .
Not for the people who loves loud music , much booze and dance though.

The ambience of the restaurant is worth mentioning. Table by the pool, dim lighting and Bangalore weather. The service is good just as any star property. The cuisine being Indian serves up some delicious food. They have a diet beer too which is worth mentioning. I would definitely visit again.

I have been wanting to visit this place for the longest now. Never managed to get a table reserved. Finally I went there with family on the eve of my birthday yesterday (5th Sep) and was impressed from the moment we entered. The ambience is warm and welcoming, calm and serene, classy and attractive- perfect setting for a family dinner or even a special date.
The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. Special mention of Mitesh Chakraborty who surely left a lasting impression on all of us with his caring hospitality.
We ordered for Narangi Shami and Paneer Tikka Lazeez and 3 crafted beers for starters and Subz Bawli Handi, Murg Kundan Qaliya, Shahi Gosht Dum and Bharwa Kulcha for the mains. Everything was done to near perfection, specially the Gosht Dum biriyani is one of the best I have tasted in Bangalore so far. Kudos to the chef!
For an awesome setting, delicious food and superlative service this place doesn’t burn a hole in the pocket either.
Surely coming back again, though getting a table reservation here seems to be the most herculean task. But the wait was worth it to say the least!
Great work done Team The Spice Terrace! Please keep raising the bar higher!
Spice terrace was a wonderful experience, courtesy from the staff was as good as the serene ambience. The view coupled with the enormous spread would fail to disappoint anyone. Apart from a busy friday evening, to my mind, it is a tantalizing place to be. The lamb biryani is what struck the right chords for me. It is on the line, between frugal and expensive.

Food-2/5
I don’t know what was wrong with their food that day, but it was horrible. The only thing edible was Khile phool bemisal.

Ambience-2.5/5
Being a 5 star hotel, they could’ve done things way better. The pool seemed too dull. No proper lighting in the pool. The washroom had broker flush and waste bin.

Service-2/5
The waiter serving us was not great. He couldn’t help us with the menu at all.

Overall, do visit Courtyard by JW Mariott. They have way better ambience and food and service.
The only thing about spice terrace is it’s location.

Shourya3004

Been here on a weekday with family, only couple of tables were occupied. The ambience is too good. As it was raining we had our table in the section away from pool. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. Enjoyed our time here and food was really good. We ordered paneer tikka laziz and subz methi seekh. Both were super yumm. Main course was subz bawli handi, lahsooni dal tadka and tandoori roti which was good but the subz chilman biriyani had something with very strong flavour which we did not like at all. Overall it was a great experience.

It was a special day for me, I took my husband on a date to this place, and to keep up to my day the place was awesome. Very romantic ambiance. I had lobster and one of the best lobster I have ever tried. They serve crafted beer, which is great by taste. I loved the place as it made my day even more special.

I have been there to Meet few friends in the evening. I had a rich experience dinning there . Loved the ambience, food, music especially the flute played at the lobby .It's a ideal place for couple dinning and small groups. Fish tikka's are my favorite.Infact they have a exquisite micro brewery really great taste. Thanks for a overwhelming experience.

Very disappointed since we were charged for all the set menu 1 , 2 and 3 though we were served just one of them. Since it was night time and everyone was getting late, also the bill was generated too late we did not have much time to question it, but it was unexpectedly too high as compared to what was served ( few starters few dishes in main course and one sweet dish )

Excellent Ambience, Nice service.
The chef gave a personal touch to the Veg Biryani- star of the show.

Very well taken care of!

Dropping a star as a drink on the menu was not available....
