Review Taaza Thindi - Bengaluru

KcanaraMan Koli
Heard a lot about this place and read that this is one of the best places for dosa in Bengaluru. So travelled nearabout 15 KMs and visited this place few months back and yes this place really does justice to its popularity. I liked the masala dosa a lot. Fluffy yet crispy, which l love in any dosa. But I missed sambar with dosa, as they serve dosa only with chutney. But dosa was so good that, it was going well with chutney as well. Even coffee was good here. If distance had not been constraint then I would have loved to come here regularly. And lastly the restaurant itself looks quite good and I also loved atmosphere here at Taaza Thindi.

Delicious food. Loved the idli so much, Vada and dosa were quite amazing too. There’s always a bit of a line but it moves fast and is worth it. The chutney was also quite amazing. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Best south Indian breakfast places to visit in Bangalore. Amazing soft idli, vada and must try masala dosa with ghee. Filter coffee at the end is a extra pinch of amazing feeling. Truly a bangalore native restaurant; running successfully for years. Place is always rushy, and huge lines. Only problem is the sitting area when it’s crowdy. But otherwise it’s greatly managed. I tried all the dishes in menu at below 100 INR. And the food is worth than any 5star restaurant breakfast. Must visit place in Bangalore for breakfast.

Masala Dosa ***** (Rs. 35) Idli ***** (Rs. 15) Vada ***** (Rs. 15) Kesarbhath ***** (Rs. 15) Kharabhath ***** (Rs. 15) Coffee ***** (Rs. 10) Wonderfully managed, beautiful and mouth watering dishes, very simple menu with only 10 items at unimaginable price. They have maintained the hygiene very well given the crowd they have all the time.

Very good joint for south Indian idly, dosa and south Indian dishes. It's a bit crowded but it's all worthy the wait. The cost on your pocket is very minimal and the best part is the place is very hygienic. What ever happens from serving to cleaning everything happens in front of your eyes.
atishay jain
Liked the taste of their dosa, idli, vada and filter coffee. No sambhar only chutney, that's their speciality. Dosas are thick and you get unlimited chutney for free. Weekends are super rush but the crowd is fast moving so you can get it fast. No tables so you have to find an empty space which is on sharing basis. It's like stand and eat placee. First place i experienced which is Only cash - no UPI no credit or debit card. No car parking so find some street parking nearby on your risk.

Vegetarian Food Review: Ignore my really bad pictures because I literally wanted to lick my fingers. If and when you find yourself in #Bangalore or #Bengaluru just go to @taazathindi for the most delicious no frills, clean, hot, soul satisfying limited menu South Indian food. My heart and soul both feels satisfied and unsatisfied at the same time because I wish I could have eaten more. Believe me we walked away wishing we had space for one more bite. 4 of us ate here for $6 TOTAL. I am still in disbelief. 16 plates of food/coffee amongst all of us and we asked 4 times…. $6 (rs. 450) anyways. I could go on. I am happy. Simply happy. Why can’t we make hot healthy food affordable in US? Why is Cultural food so whitewashed? Sob. FYI nothing was spicy. I can’t do spicy stuff anymore. It was just yum. Do let me know what you think. And yes you can take your box to them and they will fill it with food.

A very good breakfast place in Jayanagar. Very clean and very well maintained. The taste is also very good and the quality is well maintained. They don't overuse oil/ghee/butter in their dishes so the breakfast doesn't feel too heavy. The prices are also very reasonable (rs 30 for Masala dosa). We tried masala dosa(very good), Idli wada( good, they don't serve sambhar), chow chow bath(good) and filter coffee(very good).
Ashwin Kini
Clean and hygienic. Great quality food. Very economical. A must visit place. You cannot be expecting to sit and dine over like other conventional hotels (over table and chairs). You can collect parcel in your own tiffin boxes. Mode of payment is only cash.
Avinash Ramani
Just the right price and quantity. It satisfies your craving for nice hot breakfast and does not fill you up all the way that you are regretting getting a heavy breakfast. Not too buttery or oily. Have been here twice and absolutely love it.
Nina Altenburger
Incredible! I had the dosa and a vada and freakin' loved it! Although the place was packed and super busy the service was fast and the food delicious! The person who got my dosa ready was kind enough to not put butter on top of it (upon my request) and I highly recommend checking it out! :)

Definitely and undoubtedly , its the BEST place in bangalore for south indian foods. No doubt they have a very small menu list but each items prepared by them are best on its own way. If we consider pricing , thn i seriously doubt any other restaurant can even come close to them for competition. IDLI and Vada is must if you are going there. loved it completely. Had 2 plates idli and vada , 1 masala doda , 1 plain dosa , 2 cups of tea and the price we paid was less than inr 150. is it shocking? Thn you yourself can give a try dere.
Reyanshika Nivedhana
Amazing place luvd thr masala dosa nd kesari bath.. D crowd sayz it AL abt d place d quantity iz ryt fr d price they charge.... N they serve d best quality food
Kirti Mukesh Naredi
Loved eating idli for the first time. Completely mouth melting it was. Loved the food. Though the place was very packed being overly crowded, but worth going there for breakfast.
Milan Varia
Mouth melting idli...i never had this type of quality idli in my life..wada was just like u get in other shop...dosa was also crispy and tasty..it was crowded still service was pretty good... price is also affordable (max 100rs) per person
Vivek Chandramohan
Quality of food is good as they serve limited variety or only very few. Hygiene place. But is it worth to go with family and that too with kids?? Uufff. What you want to order, you need to order in one go. Else again stand in the Q for next order. By the time u taste Idly or vada, will see the long Q for dosa. When you stand for dosa, this is the testing time of our patience. After all you will not be satisfied with what you ate, bcos you will need more. If it is closing time, you will not get a chance to get anything as they will not take one single extra order. Then should search for another Thindi for the finish. Overall Good (if extreme idly dosa and chow chow bath lovers) and Bad (if no patience for having the same)
Hariesh Krishnamurthi
Awesome place for idli and coconut chutney lovers. Great concept of serving limited variety of tiffin. Had a chat with the young owner of this food joint. A big WOW !!
Aishwarya Iyengar
The best masala dosa I have ever had and it's the most pocket friendly place! it's the most hygienic place... which has sterilization facility of all the utensils ..
Anis Rangoon
The best place for breakfast. I make sure I visit everytime I am in Bangalore. A suggestion - can you have a wash basin outside.
Rahul Kavdiya
The best place to have idly, vada & dosa etc..and rate is also cheap

I am big fan of South Indian food and your hot crisp dosa and steaming idily are now my favorite with the slurping chutney . It will be good if you can open at least one outlet in East Bangalore so we can relish your food again n again . Thanks

Good place to go for early morning breakfast. Typical South indian food is available with good taste and reasonable price..

Aftet reading reviews in zomato, this place was in my wishlist. Finally i got a chance in the early morning to visit this tasty breakfast joint and yes its 5 out of 5 experience for me Cheers to the management of taaza thindi.

Seeing this place may make you think twice as there would be huge crowds of people, but once you enter , it's worth every penny!
Harish Laturkar
Good tasty food with well organised staff n hotel and cost effective too.. Over all I love the ambience... Anytime hang around place.
Vinayak Shenoy
One of the popular eatery in this area, finally got a chance to visit here. It wasn't much crowded due to the current situation. Temperature is checked as you enter and there is foot pedal hand sanitizer once you enter. There's only one cash counter and might lead to a small queue. There's token system for some of the items if there's order pile up. Separate section for each item, thereby reducing crowd at one place. Food is tasty and priced very economically. A must visit in this area. You can try all the items here in one visit without punching hole in your pocket and have a satisfied tummy 😋<br/>Only negative thing is no digital payment option.

This was prepared even before the pandemic issue. They were anyways hygienic, clean and ofcourse affordable. Food has always been great and still is. Social distancing not very much adhered to here by the people except in cash counter. Beware of it, pick the food, step out of the restaurant and relish your dish. It's a delight indeed.
Sandeep K Sinha
Too good good, the taste and the quality is truly the best that you may get in Bengaluru. Strongly recommended.
Arjun Nair
Affordable , Tasty, Soooper Fast Service and In An amazing place like Jayanagar !!<br/>We drive 8km every Saturday, just to eat here !!
Nikita Jambhorkar
This place serves very good masala dosa. Try if you like benne dosa. It’s also fuss free and hygienic. Also the jackfruit halwa is a delight for something new.
Manish Roy
The place is located at a quaint place in Jayanagar. There's ample amount of parking spot as well as sitting arrangement. The food that's served is hygienically made and all covid protocols are being followed. There's a temperature check when you enter and there's a handwash with pump which you can use to sanitise yourself. <br/><br/>I ordered a plate of idli vada , masala dosa and coffee. It all came around 70 bucks which is a pretty reasonable price. They have seperate counters for every item. So its quite efficient on their end to provide you with food.<br/><br/>The idli was soft and porous like a good idli should be . The chutney was flavourful and had a few mustard seeds present which added to its taste. The vada was crunchy and warm , it looked well prepared.<br/><br/>The best item they have is the masala dosa without an iota of doubt. It's super crunchy, looked like it had a lot of flavour on seeing it. When I took a bite of it ,it was damn . It had a lot of crunch on the outside and a little soft . There's some mashed potatoes and spices which elevated the dish more. As far as the dosa I have had , Vidyarthi bhavan could be a competitor to this place with regards to it. The dosa are almost identical in texture and flavor. <br/><br/>The coffee was good as well. It had a nice blend and flavor. There was a right amount of sugar as well which is pretty important because a lot of places load their coffee with more sugar .<br/><br/>Overall it's a must go place for people who like South Indian breakfast.

One of the must visit places in bangalore
Cora
The kesari bath was really amazing.. it had the flavour of jackfruit in it.. even their masala dosa was crisp and tasty
Varna Prakash
Out of the many breakfast spots in Jayanagar this seems to be loved by many. I loved the dosa , it was super crispy and delicious . <br/>Must tries : masal dosa , idli , vada
Nikita Sinha
Authentic south indian dosas and filter coffee is what this place is known for. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it😊
Priyanka Upadhyay
This is by far the best place serving idli, vada and dosa in Bangalore. I have visited this place multiple times, but it has never disappointed me. Every food item is super tasty and reasonably priced. They are not serving dosa now due to covid to reduce crowding.
Manish Agarawal
Can't get more than this soft idlis anywhere else ..too nice and tasty at reasonable price. Maintaining quality and taste is always important for any restaurant which Taaza Thindi maintaining from last many years.

Excellent choice for breakfast.Tasty ,hygienic and the best .I should say best tasty food in affordable price.Tasty tiffin items.Cheap and the best
Anjali Avinash
I love this place. Clean and tasty. The dosa is unbeatable. They have been taking good measures even during this pandemic situation. Cheapest yet tastiest and healthiest breakfast I have had in recent times. The jackfruit kesribath was mouth watering. Would recommend everyone to visit once.

Taaza thindi is really amazing place to have good south India breakfast, the place is very small n cute, interior design is very decent looks like olden days home style, they serve the food in small bowls to have good food with watery coconut chutney it’s really awesome.. the service was nice, the cooking place is hygiene place and after having the foods the bowls was sterilised with hot water, it’s makes me impressive to visit again and again, coz many places they won’t sterilise, pocket friendly service foods...<br/><br/>Ambiance: 5/5<br/>Taste : 4.5/5<br/>Value for money:5/5

I loved the precautions taken by hotel but I saw the people and counter giving food to people without mask and also a person sneezed there itself and a plate was there... The staff is arguing take this only yenu agalla ... Such a insane.. the management should teach them to behave.. the covid is increasing to community because of this yenu agalla... But the cleanliness and hygiene and taste is superb... But these type of attitude is not appreciated

This place is really so peace to spend your evenings, they have a very reasonable price for everything, you must try all thier items in thier menu, especially masala dosa which craves you to have more, and I love the coffee over there, they also have a very well maintained hygienic place for everything.
Vineeth Sr
Best masala dosa at a reasonable price. Always crowded. But it's worth the wait. Good place for a quick bite. But if it's during weekends then you've to wait to get dosa served. Also in the evening during weekdays, you need to wait to get dosa served. You can get All other dishes served quickly but dosa here makes you wait. All the dishes are worth every penny. Seating is good. It's spacious. No problem with parking. Excellent staffs. If you want to get food parceled then you've to bring containers.
SF
The food is decent.<br/>There are lots of older and better South Indian food places in the area.<br/><br/>But this place used to be very well managed and also had reasonable rates, and that was their USP.<br/><br/>But they now have a new absurd rule.<br/>You cannot order or pay without a mask!<br/><br/>But people are literally walking and eating three feet away with no mask.<br/>Pic attached.<br/><br/>So giving a 1-star now for this moronic rule and poor management.
Dikshita Vaishnav
This is a place where you will love eating idli vada with coconut chutney. Idlis were so soft and light and the crisp of vada was amazing. Kharabhat was also good but with less quantity. And most important to have here is the filter coffee. Don't miss kesarbhat also if you like sweet dish.
Anusha Rao
How many ever times I visit Taaza Thindi, I will never be bored of it. I ordered Dosa, idli , vada and Kesari bath and filter coffee, all this just under 100 bucks. This place will be my favourite any day.
Chef BB (Bibhuti)
One thing as much as hype I have heard it is not like that I can say a good darshini serving good quality breakfast at a very nominal pricing. <br/><br/>But Very tasty Idly, vada and dosa with chutney only no Sambar. Street Parking available. A small place but well planned I can say. Prepay for your order then you have to be in a queue. Literally some people eating idly vada with chutney in the Dosa queue that is really funny but I can not enjoy my breakfast like that. So decided to have Idly vada first then go to be in the queue for Dosa. Coffee was strong enough to satisfy me. <br/><br/>will visit again for sure.

One of my favourite place in Bangalore. Best dosa at such an affordable price 😍 Seeing the crowd outside this place you will for sure get the idea of its delicacy. The waiting time is worth the while and is almost jammed pack everytime. Totally loved this place.♥️ Been there many a times.
Anubhav Gupta
Extreme cleanliness in a very crowded place. Very well managed crowd on a Saturday breakfast.<br/><br/>You would surely be able to enjoy your food.<br/><br/>A short menu but everything tastes good.<br/><br/>Food-9/10<br/>Hygiene-9/10<br/>Ambience-7/10<br/>Price-10/10<br/>Service-8/10(some waiting for dosa 5-10 mins)<br/><br/>Recommendation: must visit this place ....

Average Cost: Rs100 for 2. Yes, you read that right! Not Kidding! <br/>This is the first time that I have happened to come across an eatery, where the average dish price is Rs 15 and the hygiene factor is 5 on 5.<br/><br/>This restaurant is a common man's delight. If you are in a mood for good quality south Indian & don't mind a little bit of crowd/ambience this is the place to visit.<br/>Ambience: <br/>Although there is no ambience to speak of, the place is always kept clean. <br/><br/>Seating:It is a stand up dining with no formal sit down facility. There are only a few seating slabs available. So if you want to sit, relax and enjoy your food slowly this is probably not the place for you.<br/><br/>Service:You don't have a table service here. So that makes it self-service.There is almost always a queue but the service is quite swift and you usually don’t end up waiting too long. There are two lines - one for billing and picking up idlis and vadas, and the other for Dosas.<br/><br/>Hygiene: <br/>Nothing could beat the service, quality, and flavor of this eatery.Minutest detail to quality & cleanliness is been given. They have maintained amazing hygiene which we don't get to see these days. <br/><br/>Menu:There is a limited menu set but the best one. Try everything because all the dishes are worth it.It serves the best South Indian delicacies like Idli, Vada, Dosas, Kesaribath, Kara bath. And not to forget half coffee, tea and badam milk.<br/><br/>Dosa:The masala dosa is served with spoonful of ghee poured on it. The crisp crunchy Masala dosa just melts in your mouth. The dosa is little smaller in size but worth the price <br/><br/>Idli-Vada:Their vada are also crisply delicious! The idly are as soft as sponge.<br/>They don't serve sambar even with idli-vada but taste of chutney makes one forget the need of sambar. <br/><br/>Price: The price is the cheapest in town.Omg! this place serves lip-smacking dosas for just INR 25!! Where else could you find such pricing for the amazing dosas served and cooked at hygienic conditions?<br/><br/>Special Counters:Also, there is a special counter for Take aways. You will have to carry your own containers with you for Takeaways.Ample chutney is served in a special counter established for chutney only. <br/><br/>I am a fan of this place. Most of my weekend breakfasts are here. And I must add that it is very crowded during the weekends.<br/><br/>Overall this is essentially a sort of street food but with a great degree of cleanliness and hygiene with economical pricing and hence my go-to place:-)

Had a chance to visit this iconic fast food south Indian joint once again.I rate it the no.1 place for South Indian breakfast.<br/>I must say that it's a great fortune for people living close by. For 40/- they can have the best breakfast to start the day.<br/>I have tried their idli, vada, dosa, Coffee,Tea etc.<br/>Excellent place for a quick breakfast! Prices are low. But the quality is of the highest standards. <br/>Has definitely been my go-to breakfast place in Bangalore from a few months now. <br/>The best part is that there are no compromises when it comes to taste, cleanliness or quickness of service.<br/>It has no seating arrangement ,just a few slabs and hence if you want to sit, relax and enjoy your meal slowly this is probably not the place for you.
Amit Kulkarni
Very good Masala dosa and hi technology and clean equipment. Idlis were ok ok. Good for a quick breakfast place
Subramanian Srinivasan
Taaza thindi sets an example of how good a self service restaurant can function . There’s only few items on the menu and they excel in everything that’s over there . <br/>The place is so neat and clean and the pricing is the best I’ve seen anywhere in banglore .<br/>It’s very crowded but worth waiting and having their amazing masala dosa and chutney .<br/>The kesari bath was silky soft and delicious <br/>Their tea was fantastic ❤️<br/>It’s more of a eat n go place and not a casual dining restaurant.<br/>I’ll definitely visit again on every visit to this area.
Umang Chiraniya
Taaza Thindi is a must visit place in Bangalore for breakfast, <br/>We just loved the masala dosa there,<br/>Idli was also good enough,<br/>What i loved the most was the chutney they served with masala dosa.<br/>This place is usually over crowded.<br/>Staff is good.<br/>This place was very neat and clean.<br/>I would love to visit again.

I could say one of the best hotels in the Bangalore city with a good ambience and the place is cleanly maintained.<br/><br/>No doubt the taste is excellent. We blindly give 10on 10. soft edli n spicy chatni😋, crispy Vada, roasted dosa and don't forget to have kadak chai.<br/>Totally you will get the best food in low budget.
Subhajit Bhattacharyya
Well, a restaurant which holds 4.9/5 after near 5000 reviews is something to pay attention to! We visited on a Sunday morning. Was not surprised to see the queue! We took a Kesari bath first, coz we were hungry, and had to wait for the dosa. We finsihed it off quickly while standing in line. The dosa arrived next. And yes, it was worth waiting. The chutney was thick and damn good. Even though there were barely any places to sit, people were just pouring in and having dosa. That's the ambience I guess which makes this place rightfully popular. The dosa was good, with ghee dripping from it. We ordered for one each again, standing in line. Next we had the coffee, which was okayish. overall, a must visit for everyone who wants to have dosa at an iconic joint in Bangalore.

Good taste & Quality @ low price

Wow! Just wow. One of the best dosa I have ever tasted. At first, the crowd standing outside can be intimidating and one can loose all the hope of having meal here, but the service is really quick. So the queue moves really fast. Enjoyed dosa, idali, vada, coffee. Would definitely visit again.
Sakshi Sood
Awesome food with authentic south indian options. Hygienic place with quick service. Always had a great time!!
Sadiya
Wanted to visit for a long time owing to the hype it's got in the city. Went on a sunday morning and oh boy! The crowd was insane! :D Had to stand in a long queue but it didn't take as long compared to vidyarthi bhavan. Half n hour and we got what we'd ordered - Masala Dosa, idli vada and kesari bath. Dosa was really crispy with ghee and coconut chutney for just 20 rs! Too good! Loved kesari bath too. Idli wada was good.<br/>Overall, must visit place if you're looking for good south indian breakfast for really reasonable prices!
Shamanth
Enjoyed everything in this place. Great value for money and the taste is just awesome.
Deepak Sahu
Only drawback -It is always jam packed.<br/><br/>But I am ok to wait for good food😋
VJNN
The place has unbelievable ratings. So we had to try it out.. place was packed beyond expectation. Prices of items are very less. Nowadays a lot of places have setup across Bangalore which have the same ambience and design and the food too also tastes the same. We had idli vada dosa and coffee. The idlis were soft and dosa and vada crispy and the food is definitely good. But what I didn't understand was why this place has such hype because the taste was similar to a few of the other breakfast places.
Saloni Rehani
My favorite in Bangalore for south Indian food. The dosa is great in taste and vada is delicious too. A must visit in Bangalore

It's one of the best with respect to taste and hygiene just loved it..<br/><br/>Too much crowdy had to wait a lot for our turn but the experience was worth the wait time.<br/><br/>Recommend to others to give it a try..

Hey!<br/>Recently visited this amazing place in Jayanagar for breakfast and I just loveedd this place various reasons. The restaurant was compact and well planned to reduce queues. It was clearly seen that importance was given to hygiene and quality service which I really loved. It felt very nice having breakfast here.<br/><br/>Coming to food we had their masala dosa, vada and kesari bath.<br/>Masala dosa was really amazing and was a run of money as it was just 20 rupees. The vada was crispy and went very well with their tasty chutney 😋.<br/>Overall a great experience having breakfast here and I totally recommend this place 💯

Taaza Thindi chain of restaurant is located in Jayanagar 4th T Block nearby to SSMRV college, Cakewala and Opposite to ICICI Bank. I can say one of the best place to have a South Indian breakfast and all Dosee lover's should surely try this place.  Most of the times this restaurant will be crowded and there is a arrangement of seats for few peoples. They have options of breakfast items like Masala Dose, Plain Dose, Idli & Vada, Khara Bath, ChowChow Bath, and sweet - Kesari bath. Restaurant main motto is maintaining good taste and hygiene. Dosa's are very crispy to have it with a combination of Gatti Chutney and other combinations like Idli, Crispy Vada also very good. Food is value for money and worth visiting this restaurant.<br/><br/>At this restaurant, parcel will be provided only if you carry your own vessels.<br/><br/>Overall, <br/>Food- 4.8/5<br/>Ambience- 4.8/5<br/>Service - 4/5<br/>Value for money - 5/5<br/>Overall Rating - 4.8<br/><br/>Note: For Parcel, always try to carry vessels and avoid plastic.<br/><br/>"Be a part of the solution, not a part of the pollution"

Dosa here is better than most places... It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside...roasted to perfection. It is a tad smaller than expected but the taste and the price justifies it. Hygiene is taken very seriously here and hat's off to the management for maintaining it even with such huge crowd thronging the place at all times.
