We went there for our anniversary and it was absolutely serene and wonderful.Food quality and ambience was excellent .Madhusudhan helped to arrange surprise candle light dinner and cake cutting and all the staffs were very courteous .Overall we had an amazing evening. I just felt the rate was a bit high for arranging the candle light and cake and decors:)Maybe that could have been charged at a nominal rate. Otherwise it was a good experience.

A hidden hotel in Koramangala's posh area. The restaurant is a part of the hotel. The restaurant is small and feels like just adjusted along the side of the swimming pool area. The service was a little delayed but food was worth the wait. Sweets were ordered were not up to the mark. Overall I felt very expensive.

Good buffet....nice ambience by the pool.lots of choice. desserts are very good. Freindly staff. I gave one star less only because baby chair ws very dirty with a broken seat belt had to eat carrying the baby and we had a wobbly table too. Overall a good place.

I would say the ambience is prefect would have appreciated more if the service was as good as the ambience. Especially as it was an event we attended the service was not upto the mark as compared to other places we visited. Food also was ok ok as they seemed not interested to serve the guests ( few chefs at one counter).

The Hotel is well maintained. Specially the hospitality and care the staff had shown was phenomenal. Food quality was also very good and taste. You can ask for decoration if you want to celebrate some special moment. Overall a very rich experience I had.

Perfect place for Cool N Pleasant dinner. Book a table close to the poolside to get better feel. Nice ambience. Veg menu is not so great but whatever is there is tasty. And yes, most important, Staff behaviours.... Perfect and just perfect which makes your dinner so nice. So overall nice place.

The buffet spread by the pool side is convenient.....grab a bite and dive into the calming turquoise pool... The pool side bar counter serves a variety of cocktail 🍹 🍸 Martini ,mojito and mocktails...🏊 🍻

Visited this place for our wedding anniversary date night. My wife had pre-booked a package and it included 2 starters, 2 main-course dishes and 2 desserts (anything except sea-food could be ordered). The setting was just fantastic with decorations and lighting on the table. It was by the poolside with feeble sounds of a water fountain adding to the ambience. For starters, we ordered Tandoori Murgh Tikka and Achari Tangri, The murgh tikka was well cooked and tasted nice, while the achari tangri was just fantastic and tasted awesome! For our main course, we ordered Nalli Nihari and butter chicken. Nalli nihari is basically lamb shanks cooked in Indian masala. It tasted nice and was well cooked. Butter chicken was as expected with it's creamy taste, no complaints as such. For our breads we ordered garlic/butter naan, they were quite soft and upto the mark. As part of our dessert, we ordered rasmalai and kulfi and they were the best items we had of all. Absolutely fantastic. They also provided us with a complimentary cake as part of our anniversary celebrations. Service was top-notch and they took extremely good care of us. It was a memorable evening for us, thanks to the team of By the Blue and my wife for arranging such an awesome celebration.

Was looking for quite place to celebrate and By The Blue was just perfect for the occasion. They arranged a table poolside with beautiful decoration. Tried Bharwan Khumbh, Lahori Paneer which was yumm. Must visit for romantic date night.

Wonderful view, Good food and very polite staff. We had a great evening in-front of the pool. Special thanks to George working in 'By the Blue', he was very polite and helped us with the menu and taking care of my little daughters needs. Very much recommended to have a great time with your loved once.

Small but good place. It has a swimming pool and the restaurant is in the same place. The restaurant gets the name from this. The pool has a baby pool where you may book to have a in-pool dinner. Which is very exiting and fun. Usually you need to book for this in advance. The food is costly but good quality. Cleanliness is also good. Located inside the hotel. Approximately ₹ 5000 for 4 people.

Lovely food, venue and ambience! Efficient service. Enjoyed every dish. Biryani was very well made. The rice was soft and well cooked. It wasn’t dry and prickly. Loved the salads and the sauces.

It’s a very nice place near to pool. The dinner table was very well decorated and the meal was also very well cooked and served. The ambience was really nice and the slow but soothing music was nice to spend a romantic dinner along with your partner.

Actually 5 star for ambience. But 1 star less due to cost and location. Food taste is very good, quantity is also good. Cost do not justify. Parking is available here. One can find Very much tranquility. This restaurant is inside an apartment and it is not easily reachable. Ofcourse, Google maps can help.

Went to "By the Blue" at Geand Mercure for a Sunday Brunch. Though it was crowded at the time we reached but the entire setup of buffet was effectively managed. Loved the pleasant vibes while entering. Once we were seated, we were greeted by staff who warmly welcomed and helped us to make the day as a special one. Staff was courteous and prompt. I tried mocktails, chaats, pastries, rice, noodles, curries, cakes, breads, salads, fruits, curd rice, desserts etc. With its upbeat poolside ambience and mostly efficient service, this restaurant is a nice choice if you’re looking for a good buffet. Good variety of cuisines for brunch ranging from Indian to Continental. There were several options for all kinds of menu. Starters, main course, live counters, chats, desserts etc. Decent taste of food whatever we tried. Pool amenities are also included in the brunch....such a steal deal, right !! Overall, the experience was a joyride for the taste buds...."By The Blue" is a much needed indulgence, head over for a luxurious experience in food and drinks wrapped around superb service. I would definitely want to come again for this rollercoaster of flavours.

A very fine place for a calm and romantic evening. Gives you a soothing & comfortable feel with the courteous service. Sanju was our host who personally took care of our needs and greeted with wonderful food and behaviour. The food was too good, which made the evening even better. A great worth of the money spent. One must spend one evening there..

The ambience is great and the staff members are really courteous. Deepak served us really well, and was proactive in managing the table. Food quality in the main course section needs to be improved to justify the price tag, but the desserts are amazing. A good experience if you need a quiet evening with suitable ambient music and environment.

It was an awesome experience on my special day. Booked the table two days back but they missed to book and on the day they couldn't find my name. But in 10-15 min they arranged for what they promised earlier. Food and ambience were awesome. Staff was courteous. Overall it was a nice experience.

Biswanath was really great and prompt in his service. He really made our dinner special by making sure we get the best by service. Cheers to him &management for the amazing place it is.

Bird potty in food. Once asked to change place giving random reasons. How can someone place table just below bird best? Given that bird potty taste were not good either.

We have visited this restaurant on our anniversary. The candle light dinner near the pool side is just wow. It is good place for couples. The food served is awesome. The drinks are preety good. The staff is very polite. It has a bar also. Even i have visited here once on new yr eve and once before it.

First they agreed for candle light dinner n then later at the 11th hour they called n said they can’t since they have 60 guest party to be held. WTF if more guest comes that’s doesn’t mean you ignore 2 individuals, we are paying for what ever you charge us. Don’t trust the photos n mess ur special day.

I had booked an In the Pool table for my special one's birthday and I didn't want anything to go wrong that night. By the blue ensured we had one table in the pool and one reserved table under a roof in case it rained. It did rain after 30 odd mins and we moved to the reserved table. Our experience wasn't hampered that way. The bill was only the amount that was communicated to me earlier. The manager Manoj and staff Vishwanath were very polite and friendly. The table and cake were also customised as per my wish. It turned out to be an amazing experience as planned. I would surely recommend this place to anyone who wants make their loved one feel special.

Guys, if you want to make your partner feel special, I would suggest this is one of the best place in Bangalore. Ambience, music, special arrangements and food, everything was great. I went here with my fiance for our first dinner date. Yeah candle light dinners are common nowadays and there are many options in the city but what makes this one special was inside the pool candle light dinner. I contacted Madhu who is the manager of this place and he made sure all the arrangements were made as per my wish and it was beautiful. We were served by Nagababu, who not only served us food but took some beautiful pictures for us and he himself will suggest you the spots to click. Grand mercure is one the finest hotels in bangalore and they have pretty good ambience and hospitality, so i ve been hearing lot of reviews about the sunday seafood food brunch of grand mercure which includes almost every single thing you love, so finally visited the place and tried out the sunday brunch<br/><br/>The ambience was just so good, the Sunday brunch takes place in there restaurant called by the blue which has a pool near to the dinning area, which makes it just perfect. Good food and good ambince is what everyone wants.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, we started there signature mocktail which is the blue lagoon, which was so good,maybe i can say that one of the best I’ve tried out in bangalore, the brunch also had varieties of cocktails and mockstails whihc were included in the brunch menu. The starters had two opition which was the veg and the non veg, in that fish tikka and chicken kebab were just amazing , purely because of the marination which they had, plus they also served one dip which was an combnation of chilli mayo and mustard sauce which made it even better, also when it comes to the veg starters also they had so many lip smacking dishes, in that my favourite was the pinenapple tikka, which was just amazing.<br/><br/>before hitting to the main course i just set my track directly to the seafood counter so that i can have that first , so first thing first, best part of the seafod was that, it was so fresh, unlike other places we wont get that frozen flavours, it was so fresh. they signature items when it comes to seafood was the lobster and the crab.<br/><br/>I have cleary took a shot of both the lobster and crab , by looking at picture you can figure out how it was it. The first bite of the lobster was pretty amazing, i just loved it. The marination, the masala and the freshness of the lob made it better.<br/><br/>when it comes to the main course also they have long list of food items starting from the dal makhani to briyani which was just perfect, plus they had live counters of dosa, chat, pasta and Chinese which was more than enough.when it comes t dessert, what i loved was the pastries which so good even though i was full i couldnt resist having it.<br/><br/>the overall experience at grand Mercure, sunday brunch was pretty amazing, would love to go ther again because of the food and also the service. the staff was so good, they kept asking us about our likes and preferences so that they could bring us everything. Ambience is really good and their service too. We enjoyed the poolside brunch really well. Great service by Madhusudan, Subhajeet & Abdul. You can swim also in the pool, for that you need to carry proper swimming costumes.

They served the food with papad, chutney and salad.<br/>Service - 5 : We initially ordered degi mirch gravy, but the staff was so courteous that they came and informed us that it will be very spicy and we may not Able to eat. I visited this place on my birthday.. The ambiance was superb.. We had a pool side lunch.. It was really wonderful.. But little disappointed with the food., the starters were very tasty . But disappointed with the main course nd desert.

EDM (which is irritating in any case) was playing through the evening and the speakers could just not handle it.

It was really great experience to celebrate our anniversary at by the blue. I would like to appreciate Madhusoodanan and Gautham for their polite and welcoming gesture. We had a wonderful treat by by the blue. Our first wedding anniversary will never be forgotten because of the light settings and table set near the pool coupled with pleasant gesture of both of them and good food.

I would have given this place a lower rating, but that was not an option. After having the veg platter here, me and 2 other people got extremely sick. I was hospitalized for 6 days and got acute food poisoning because of the horrible, horrible food here. PLEASE DO NOT GO THIS PLACE. Worst experience ever in life. This so called fancy and super expensive restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for serving such pathetic quality food.

We went there for cabana dinner it was well arranged, food was superb specially aaloo tiki, starter platter and daal makhni. Ambiance was superb. Gautam helped us recommending food and served us well.

Went here for the second time..this time for their Easter special brunch. It was great experience! They had a lovely spread of Easter delicacies, and the duck was absolutely brilliant. Most important, excellent hospitality by the staff. Looking forward to visiting this place again.

Something is really wrong with this place. We went some months back and it was good but today it was a total disapointment. Firstly no body likes to wait for 30 mins between their meals. We had to tell the waiter atleast 20 times to get the food. Secondly, too much salt in every single thing. And the paneer was totally sour. I am trying to be polite but honeslty they just spoiled my brother's birthday.

Perfect date place. Pool side candle light dinners in the middle of kormangala. Great good and cocktails. Been there a couple of times , the kabab platter is worth a try and so is the LIIT. Courteous staff is an added bonus.

Cheaters, when I called up I was told they have buffet but they don't have. Dull place, don't go by the photographs & fake reviews. A total waste of money.

4.5/5: Went here for a special occasion and had a reservation for the gazebo. The experience was overall a very pleasant one. They give you the privacy without you having to ask for it.<br/>The ambience is, as you can see in the pictures, amazing. I have been here a couple of times before too but took the general seating n a-la carte back then.<br/>The servers are very attentive and polite. All the courses are rather sumptuous.<br/>Only downside is the entrance of the gazebo, you really need to get in from the wall side, not a pleasant way as it was windy and opening the other end meant fluttering of the entire cloth all over us. That needs to be fixed better. Plus special requests need to be taken care of better by the manager.<br/>Overall you will love this place.

Visited this place on a Saturday afternoon and opted for buffet.. well the spread is HUGE.. they had so many options for starters, main course, dessert and the food tastes awesome.<br/><br/>Coming to ambience, it has pool side seating as well as a deck seating that overlooks the pool.. good ambience for a night date.<br/><br/>Service - servers are polite and service is quick<br/><br/>The restaurant is on the pricier side. I feel one should visit this place only in the evenings to make most of the ambience.. in the after noon it felt quite dull..<br/><br/>Overall a good place if you wish to shell out that much money else can be easily skipped.

Went here for a dinner and it was a memorable experience.<br/>We had specially booked cabana seating by the pool. The view was amazing.<br/><br/>The food served was delicious. Mind you the cuisine is North Indian. You will enjoy the food.<br/><br/>Drinks menu was very limited which was not really impressive.<br/><br/>Price wise the place is a bit on the expensive side.<br/><br/>If you want to come here. Make sure you book the cabana experience.

I had booked a table here for my husband birthday. As I had already checked reviews that the restaurant would be inside the Grand mercure, we went directly searching for Grand mercure. And it was very easy to search the restaurant.<br/><br/>And I told them to decorate a table. It was really awesome. The ambience, and the decorations... My husband was very happy after seeing the decorations. They even provided the cake and song in the background for cake cutting.<br/><br/>And the food was even delicious. We ordered two starters and a Veg Biryani. We both loved the taste. My husband enjoyed both food and ambience.

I found this restaurant quite overrated. <br/><br/>Although this place gives you good vibes as soon as you enter, the overall experience is not worth it. Looks and ambience wise, this place is amazing. There is a well-maintained pool, the tables are spread out which makes it possible to have your own peaceful time and the music is in accordance to the place, soothing and melodious.<br/><br/>The service was not good. The staffs took a while to address the table. The food was average too. It was not worth the money. Overall, I would not like to visit this place again.

We had a very good experience at the place..we had booked a table for our relative for their anniversary. Our contact was with Mr. Madhusudan..He arranged the decor and the dining. The food was good and so was their cake. We are glad with the excellent service offered by them. We would also like to mention Upashna who was at the table for her service.
