Review Gramin - Bengaluru

Mehrotra Neeti
Very good restaurant with delicious food. I like the overall ambience which is created like a village. The serving size is good. The place has parking space adjacent to the restaurant on the service road. The service was quick and the staff is courteous. The prices are comparatively high as compared to other places. They also serve Jain food so that's a plus

Good food but the quantity is little less according to prices. Flavourful food with North Indian taste. Gulabjamun is not good at all it's tin packed one and served at room temperature. Dec 23, 2023

Gramin is a top notch destination for vegetarians with love for typical Indian food. The Paneer starters were delicious, Hara Bhara kebab could have been better and the main course was superb. Serving time can be improved. Would recommend it for family and friends gathering

A good place for you to try and experience. An authentic north Indian restaurant with the same ambience of North India. It's a vegetarian restaurant. You get a variety of items here. Also the sitting and the interiors really resembles the beauty and culture of North like in Rajasthan. The place is usually crowded. You should try it. The service is so good. And the cost is of an average. Good place to have a nice day

I recently dined at Grameen in Koramangala, Bangalore, and the experience was exceptional. The hospitality and service were top-notch, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The diverse menu offered delightful options, and the Aam Panna, Buttermilk, Grameen Kofta, Tandoori Arbi, and Bajra Khichdi were well-prepared & bursting with delicious flavours. Double dal tadka could have been better, but overall, a fully satisfying dining experience that I highly recommend.

This place offers a diverse selection of vegetarian dishes on its menu. Standouts include low-calorie and vegan options, such as the delectable Bhindi Rajastani and phulke. The HaraBharaKabab, Jeera Paani without sugar, Paneer Darbari, JeeraAlloo, and TawaRoti are not only delicious but also presented uniquely. The restaurant's distinctive ambiance and attentive staff with excellent manners enhance the overall experience. The tempting and high-quality food, served fresh, is reasonably priced, making it a delightful spot for veg enthusiasts. Our colleagues loved Bhindi Fry and re-ordered, must try ..

I recently visited Gramin Veg Restaurant in Bangalore and had a wonderful time. The ambience was pleasant, with retro music adding a nice touch. The service was prompt, and the staff was attentive. The food quality was excellent, and I appreciated the use of clean steel or copper utensils. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, and I would recommend Gramin Veg Restaurant to others. Looking forward to returning for another visit.

I recently dined at Gramin in Bangalore and had a mixed experience with their offerings. Here's a breakdown of what I tried: Kichi Papad Masala: Exquisite! It surpassed my expectations and was a delightful start to the meal. Masala Papad: Unfortunately, this dish didn't leave a lasting impression. It can be skipped without missing out on much. Pan Koliwada: A standout starter! The flavors were rich, and it set a high standard for the rest of the meal. Gramin Biryani: Decent, but not exceptional. It didn't quite match the excellence of other dishes. Mumbai Pulao: Similarly, the Mumbai Pulao was good but not outstanding. A satisfactory addition to the meal. Basket - Roti: The roti was excellent, adding a perfect touch to the overall dining experience. Harabhara Kb: A good choice, offering a burst of flavors. It complemented the meal nicely. Sev Tamater Sabzi: Not a standout item. You can give this one a miss. Dhu Dum Panchmela: Exceptional! The blend of flavors in this dish was a highlight of the meal. Gramin Kofta: Another winner! The kofta was well-prepared and left a lasting impression. While the food mostly impressed, the service could be improved for a more seamless dining experience. It's worth noting that parking for the restaurant can be a challenge due to building restrictions. Despite these minor drawbacks, Gramin stands out for its unique flavors and certain standout dishes.

Garmin Vegetarian Restaurant in Koramangala turned out to be a hidden gem! 🌟 The paneer bhurji and phulka rotis were a match made in food heaven, while the masala papad added a satisfying crunch. 🥘 The thandai and kesariya lassi were like flavorful potions, making the entire experience absolutely delightful! 🌈 If you're in the mood for homely, delicious vegetarian food, this place is a must-visit. 👌

Treat for North Indian veg food lovers. Right from entering the restaurant to completion of meal, the customer service had been phenomenal. The food had the authentic north indian taste. Must visit place.

Gramin | Veg Restaurant in Koramangala is a must-visit! Their Veg Thali, Paneer Butter Masala, Rotis, and Sweet Lassi are a treat for your taste buds. Exceptional flavors and service!
Darshana Khaniya
The Veg thali is sufficient for 1 person and this spicy chur chur paratha was an absolutely amazing add on.. The paneer dishes might seem a little bland for people who prefer spicy food. The staff is very polite and will diligently listen to your preferences and customise your order accordingly.

Gramin is an authentic north Indian style pure vegetarian hotel. Taste of the food was really great. The ambiance was nice. Since we went on the weekend, it was crowded, better to book the table prior. But the service was really good. They were really quick in serving the food. For few, the low height seating arrangements are little uncomfortable. Overall it was a great experience.

Awesome… experience overall… dhunadhar paneer is a must try… and I loved lime soda

Located very close to forum mall Gramin veg is pure veg restaurant with not too high pricing. Food is amazing and tasty, generally crowded at weekend. Pros - nice variety of tasty pure vegetarian food which is rare in Bangalore , masala soda was nice , Smokey kaju paneer is amazing , location is nice , service is quick , polite staff, as the name suggests - village touch ambience, pineapple Raut’s is yummy. Things can be improved - as the queue gets longer , the staff tries to push you finish your meal fast by different techniques, this should never be done , Hari mirchi soda was very bad it’s like mixing up sugar water with green chilly , butter phulka is very thin and small , little bit costly but ok as per location and service provided

The taste of the food is great, they have a good variety of North Indian Veg dishes on their menu. Loved their service as well. Went on a weekend night ,so it was really crowded. Had to wait quite a while to get tables, but the good thing is that they allow you to order from outside the gate itself so they can serve you quicker. An extra star for the sanitizer hand wipes they gave to everyone at the end, it was a nice touch.

Very tasty food, but missed a certain delicacy due to the week day

Ordered from Gramin for the first time ever. The items were - Baingan Bharta, Palak Paneer and Tawa Karela.

The Baingan Bharta was so smokey and delicious! The best bharta I've ever had. The Palak Paneer and the Tawa Karela were amazing as well. Absolutely scrumptious!

Will regularly order from here now!
Went there on Thursday with my flatmates... It's an awesome place and the food being veg, it's too damn delectable...
We ordered Kadai Paneer, Veg pilaf, and aam ka Panna and nimbu ki shikanji...
I simply loved it's decor, the food and also the courteous staffs...
Ambience-4.5/5
Service-5/5
Food-5/5

Visited the much talked about veg restaurant "Gramin" yesterday. Very disappointed. Biriyani happens to be their signature dish but was prepared in rancid/reused ghee with an offensive smell. just could not eat it. Never going again.

We came to Gramin for second time since we liked the food. Our first experience was good, but second time I felt bad. May be due to Saturday rush, the staff was in a hurry.he showed us the menu card,he only suggested dishes. When the food came, before finishing soup he bought starters, started dumping into plate.Soon after that he bought rotis .We thought of ordering rice, but seeing his hurry my husband stopped ordering and paid the bill.

We'd been to this joint in Koramangala for my nephew's first birthday get together. My sister saw the umpteen reviews and glad she did. If you are a foodie, this is one place that should be on your list, I mean a regular list. I must say a good variety of items for a pure veg joint. We ordered the hara bhara kebab and tawa corn peas to start with. The corn peas was crispy and perfect, one should try this. Palak paneer, Gramin Kofta and DD Panchmela along with rotis was next. The gramin kofta was mouthwatering, we ended up ordering one more, worth trying this in main course. The phirki parata is something I tried for the first time and was not disappointed at all, very tasty and spicy. Mumbai pulav was a pleasant surprise! never thought such a simple dish will taste so good!! The Fresh lime soda is a must if you want to quench your thirst and senses alike!!! Our hostess was courteous, gramin kofta and phirki parata amongst others were her suggestion and so happy we tried them. One must listen to her. The staff were very attentive and ensured we left happy on faces and stomach! They also let us cut a birthday cake, a beautiful gesture when you consider the footfall here! I would give it a 7 star and recommend it to all who want something healthy, ordinary and yet delectable treat to your taste buds!!

Went to gramin after reading such good reviews on zomato. Masala papad was bad, no masala
Or salt just blend salad on top of papad. Base gravies were not fresh i think or too oily. We all had stomach issues after reaching home. Rotis were also not good especially missi rotis. Onion salad kept on table was dry as if kept for too long. Overall very bad experience. But liked lassi very much

Gramin is located, in the lane opposite to Forum Mall, Koramangla. The restaurant is caved inside Raheja arcade and the entire complex has a old city charm to it. We reserved a table but had to wait for 10 minutes. (which we were informed while booking the table) Staff appears in the waiting area to take the food order, which is a very good and impressive time save for both business and customers. We ordered Tomato soup, Hara bara kebab, Stuffed kulcha, Phulka and Paneer hara pyaaz. 5/5 for taste for all items. So light for tummy but yummy. We ended the meal with Rose Lassi and it was heavenly. Top notch recommendation for vegetarians. Love to come back and relish other dishes. Courteous Staff, Tasty Food, Interesting Ambiance..this place is all love.

The village theme, generous staff and off course
the pure veg food are mind blowing. The best restaurant for vegetarians.

I totally recommend their aam panna and nimbu shikanji.

It's a very beautiful village themed place, the staff are really friendly and the food is really filling and perfect for weekend lunch. Perfect with bae or with family.

Loved the ambience and food here.
If you want to taste Rajasthani food I would suggest you to go to this place. The service is also good and people are very humble and sweet.

Gramin is undoubtedly the best Vegetarian restaurant i have ever been in bangalore. They can make almost all dishes without onion and garlic and with no compromising the taste. Since our parents do not eat onion and garlic this restaurant is a must go place when they visit us. Hara bhara kabab, Paneer ka salan, Gramin veg, chilli paneer, missi roti and Aam Pana are must try. price is reasonable too. In weekends this place is very crowded and you need to wait 15-20 mins in queue to get a table.
Shradha Mohanty
What amazing vegetarian food! Meat eaters somehow overlook these gems.

I have ordered Punjabi paneer(Jain preparation) and bharwa paneer tikka..it was very yummy and staff was very polite and service was good.

The taste, quality and portions of food are good. Should definitely give it a try!

Punjabi paneer is a must try. Ambience is very nice, staff are very very courteous and friendly, even though one of the dishes doesn't tasted nice they immediately asked us if we wanted to replace the dish, or want to order something else.. We din't wanted to order other but the staff are so kind that they gave the bill and cancelled that dish from their side and asked us for feedback thus suggestion.... Such friendly staff and good restaurant are rare to find here.

This place is my all time favourite when it comes to Vegetarian food. Love the food, the service, the ambiance. In short, love everything about this place. Being a vegetarian restaurant , their menu has so much to offer. No doubt, this place is always Crowded, specially on weekends.

So this time I had their Harabhara Kebab which was amazing. Perfect size and portion and tasted really good.

For mains, I had Punjabi Paneer which was scrumptious. The paneer was very soft and the gravy was full of flavour with the right amount of spice.

The Boondi Raita and the Phulka was good.

Never bored of visiting this place.

Amongst the innumerable north indian restaurants in the city, I believe this one stands out, as supported by my North Indian friends, for its authenticity. Their laccha paratha is not the rubbery maida paratha that you get in most places and you can actually taste the ghee. Recommend the hara bhara kabab, any paneer main course and the Lassi. Can do better with the portions though
Desi_Foodblogger
Gramin has been my to go place for more than 8 yrs now. The village theme, generous staff and off course the pure veg food are mind blowing.

I totally recommend their karari bhindi, dal tadka, lassi and pulao. A must try for all veggies.

Excellent place to dine. Good food. Very good ambience. Staff who are very hospitable and friendly. Went with my family, to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. We all loved the whole experience. Certainly will recommend to others.

A great place to have good and yummy vegetarian food. The taste is purely of North india. The lassi, dal and all other stuff is purely amazing. With courteous staff and there fast service, I love the place very well.

Ambience -4/5
Quality and quantity - 5/5
Value for money -5/5

Worst veg Pulao ever eaten in Bangalore. We visited on 06th Oct for lunch and the experience was horrible.
Here are some details.
1. The paratha was same like tandoori roti and price was double. Quality and taste both awful.
2. Malai kofta was a joke and had maida mixed in gravy.
3. Veg Pulao was horrible and had ton of oil in it.
4. Mix veg had only onion and few carrot pieces no taste whatsoever.

So please avoid this place as prices are very high and there is also no ac inside.

Looks nice by the sound of it but the taste could have been better. The quantity was fine. The staff had messed up the orders and the bill.

I'll give this place more than five star rating for their hospitality. A quiet place nestled in the busy Koramangala area of Bengaluru. Opposite to the famous Forum Mall is the Raheja arcade to which you only have to cross the foot over bridge and walk down. It's a nice place and welcoming. We were a large group and thus got to sample quite a lot.of food varieties mentioned in pros and cons here. A must visit if you are around koramanagala
The food is delicious and like I said service is top class as they keep checking on your opinion on the food served. Overall, a great dining experience.
Food: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Value for money: 4/5

Ambience :4.5/5
Food :4.5/5

This place serves very delicious North Indian vegetarian cuisine. They have village theme inside. Especially 1st floor is more beautiful. Not so big restaurant but has lovely staff and amazing food.

Also has some shopping area outside, so even if you are waiting at the restaurant, you can do some shopping in mean time.

Really enjoyed my time here , its a themed veg resto ... Every item there will remind u about village life style.

Taste - the bhindi kurkure was awesome.. even the food.

Ambiance - it resembles village life style...
The only problem is ,u have to wait a lot for ur chance to come.. so have to be planned before hand if u want enjoy here...

Taste wise and the ambiance wise its awesome..

Ordered food for here,I am a working person and placed outside my home town.
I found this place very legit for delivering soul tasty dinner .
I was totally delighted by the amount and quality of Malai Kofta and Stuffed panner kulcha.
Most preferred.

Vegetarians rejoice this place.
I really like the ambiance, the interiors is so nicely done.
Coming to food, its good that they have Jain options as well.
The staff are helpful too, you can ask them for suggestions.
Good place.
Would recommend.

The food is always good from this place. The staff at their restaurant are
highly professional and courteous. Rose lassi and Pudina Khatta Meetha were scrumptious.

Pro tip: if they write it as spicey, then it is really spicey.

Good food!!

The place has a very good option for vegetarian food. The chilly roti is specially very good. Nice ambience with good service.

Overall a very good experience to hang out with friends or family.

Hello, placed an order for
Thali, Channa masala and Phulke (Order ID: 1879309318). Was charged the complete amount of INR 470. Then received a call from the restuarant stating that thali was not available today. Subsequently received notification from Zomato that the food was delivered (it was never devlivered). Contacted zomato customer service only to be told to write an email to them. Please arrange for a refund at the earliest as neither the food nor anything else arrive.

This is a small and cozy place. The food tastes awesome as well. We ordered for tomato soup which was decent, their hara Bhara kabab was really good. We ordered for Phulka and gravy. Gravy was really good but their phulka deserves a special mention, very soft and nice.

A must visit place if you are foodie even if you are non vegetarian. This pure veg restaurant provides you all kinds of vegetarian foods, and the foods taste exceptional. My personal favourite is Thali which is not served on Sunday and national holidays.
Ambience is awesome, the songs are of 80s, and you will really feel a "gramin" feel inside the restaurant. The stuffs are extremely friendly.
So go out with friends and families to enjoy the lovely food and atmosphere.
Harsh Devrani
Some of their exotic dishes are really delightful however some are not.
Dahi bhindi here rocks.
Roti are perfect and the lassi is good.
However malai kofta was not a delight to our tastebuds.
Bhooki.punjaban
While searching for a pocket friendly easy to reach from the forum kormangla mall serving north indian cuisine, came across this suggestion. Had higher expectations for a 4.2+ restaurant, food was above average.

Ordered Kurkure bhindi, shikanji, kaju curry and ghee phulka for two. All the things were good but nothing exceptional but it does score points on the location, charm and ambience of the place.

Had to wait for some time before getting a place to sit.

One of the best places for having north indian dinner in koramangala. Fantastic friendly service , tasty yummy light food (especially their paneer butter masala) and a bill that won't make your cry. What's not to love about this place ! Definitely would recommend.

Garmin is a vegetarian restaurant located in Koramamgla 7th block. One of the best vegetarian restaurants in koramngla, their service is great. The ambiance is really good, it's like an old house. All the food items we ordered were really good. The staff are really friendly and understanding. Their menu is quite large. Good experience overall.
Sunita Unni
This would always be one of my favourite places to go to for amazing vegetarian spread. Amazing service, small little village themed restaurant. Couldn't go wrong with this being the choice if you are in kormangala and opt for veg food.
Madhuri
A friend recommended this place. Ordered take away for a party at home.
The food quality and quantity is very good.
The starter bhindi rajasthani was awesome.
Fulkas were good. However, we found the vegetable gravies to be a little extra sour. Rest was all good.
Deepanshu Garg
A well managed restaurant who not only serves one of the best and delicious food but also manages the huge crowd very well.

I had visited twice and whatever dish we tried so far was always more than expected.

Considering food quality, quantity, ambience and budget, this place is one of the must visited places in bangalore.

Dinner Menu :Kulcha + Paneer + Mix veg + Dal

Went to this place near forum mall koramangala. This place is complete vegetarian restaurant and it is quite jam packed on weekends,so plan wisely and reach there few minutes early. Now the main USP of this place is that they let you order ahead and also hospitality if this place is very great.Food was quite great and it was simple food and one thing which you should definitely try is there Lassi which is sugar free.Do visit this place if you are nearby.
Himanshu Midha
Visited to have lunch with colleagues and had veg thali. Taste and quality is good place is bit small but food is good and it gives desi and North indian flavor. I just tries Veg Thali and that was quite good.

Had a better experience second time around. Was not satiated with the orders that we had the last time aeound. Better sense prevailed in terms of ordering the food this time. We atarted with the bhindi kurkure paneer tikka and kerala... though bhindi was a little too crispy, panner soft and not so bitter karrla...followed it up with baigan bharta , dum aloo and sarso ka saag... all gulped down with lassi. Would have loved to have option for dessert. ..... will try and search for more options in kormangala next time.

Very courteous staff and preparation of food is very tasty.
The time taken for waiting is taken care by the staff by taking the order to serve on time

Going to Gramin was just an impromptu decision and Pat on my back for that decision 😄

1. The ambience is just so lovely! Right from the exterior to the inside sitting area, it reminds you of a village, it makes you stay connected to your roots somehow.

2. The food here is just amazing! I absolutely loved every item that I ordered.

3. The staff is extremely nice and friendly.

4. It is very pocket friendly. I'm definitely visiting this place again to try out their other items.

I have visited this restaurant during my visit to Banglore after getting about this place in some bloger reviews in you tube.

I have ordered mix veg soup as starter and for dinner Palak paneer Muglai, Dum dhuedar panchmela, phulka and garlic nan.

The soup are so good and sabzi are awasome and phulka and Garlic Nan are also fine and I recommend above two dishes (sabzi) for a great taste.

For its delicious taste of the foods, we next day again visited this place and this time our menu for dinner was Paneer Darbari, Dal ghee tadka, with phulka and mix Nan but this time we disappointed with its Paneer Darbari dishes as it was so simple in taste but rest of food was good.

Ambiance is so simple, there is no air conditioning, staff are well trained service is so good. The best things of the restaurant is using no artificial colours.

However a must visit restaurant for veg foodies.
Ankit Johri
One of the best vegetarian restaurant!!

So far I visited this place two times on some special occasions. Though I’m a hard core non-vegetarian however i love the vegetarian food served over here.
Must try Items - stuffed aloo, lassi and Some mint drink.

Excellent restaurant for veg lovers. So many options to choose from. Have been here so many times and am an old patron of this place since 2006. Have tried almost every dish here. Few definitely requires improvement but which restaurant doesn’t where the menu is so extensive?

After having the main course, the best thing one can have for dessert is the awesome Rose Lassi.

One tip for everyone: Do take inputs from the person taking order. He will suggest good subji according your preferences and mood of the day.

Kudos to Team Gramin for serving delicious food since so long consistently.

The ambience and place does give a feel. The service was slow and the people serving in the plate were too fast that they were almost throwing it in.

We had lahsuni paneer tikka as starter which was pretty good. For mains,, we has veg kohlapuri and Sev tamatar ki sabzi. They were very spicy. veg kohlapuri was good.

Pudina khatta meetha and aam Panna were good.

Today ordered food on Zomato delivery from this outlet and it was not a pleasant experience. The Dal Tadka was spilled and the delivery person just handed over and escaped before we got to know. When i called back the delivery guy told to contact the restaurant and he cant do anything about it. Called the outlet and Mr. Joshi understood our concern and was very helpful. He arranged for a repeat order and gave us a complimentary dish for the trouble we had with the order. Zomato has to improve the delivery standards. Excellent job Gramin.

Ambience :
It has a good cosy atmosphere with the north indian vibe. Although it could be better lit, it did not affect the experience in any way. The location in the centre Koramangala is probably the biggest attraction.

Service :
The overall service was a little slow. Inspite of not being very crowded we got our food at a lethargic pace

Food :
We ordered the Paratha basket with Dhaba veg and Gramin kofta. The food was hot but a little spice. Not complaining because the menu clearly states the these are spicy, but the waiter recommended this to us so we went with it. The basket had a variety of buttered parathas. The dishes were really good. We also had the Chaach which was refreshing on a hot sunny afternoon.

Cost :
Reasonable.

We visited because we saw good reviews, but terrible service. The waiter who served us paneer tikka almost threw it in the plate that paneer jumped a couple of centimetres from plate. Waiter gave lot attitude for no reason. Served jeera rice absolutely cold.
There is no provision for parking for the restaurant at all and you have to go behind the restaurant and park on the road.food taste was ok. Overall disappointing.
Staff people doesn't respect people coming over there. We went there and checked for table booking but no one was there at desk and the booking person seems not interested in our booking. So we directly went inside and asked for table to one staff member came and showed us the table. We sat there and waiting to order food. One person came and asked us to release the table because we were 4 and that table was for 6-8 and we didn't book the table prior. And asked us to go out and book a table again and come after half an hour. Such a rude behavior.

Service: The staff are so courteous and polite that they remind of you Rajasthani Maharaja treatment
Ambience: As Gramin as it gets. The decor, dim lit, copper cutlery. Just perfect
Food: Ordered Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan, Aloo paratha and curd. Everything was perfect, even the curds remind of you home :)

Just a tip: Go on weekend around 7PM to avoid long queue waiting outside for the yum food.

Summary: Value for money and more ! Loved it!

Food is not that much tasty as much as it costs. Good Ambience. It was clean and doesn't have many items. Doesn't have so many types of starters.

Gramin is a beautiful place, with vibrant yet homely interior, when you enter the restaurant, you'll feel like you're in someone's house.

The food was simple, wholesome and tasty. The choices are segregated very well. We had a paneer gravy and a karela gravy, I personally found paneer gravy very tasty, the bitter gourd was deep-fried, I found it almost tasteless. Followed was handi biryani and curd rice.

The service is very friendly and helpful, I did a little error while choosing the starters though, when asked they said the dish isn't a dry mixture but then it was deep-fried green peas and corn, which wasn't what we expected. I really wanted to try bhindi, but that was also dry and not as expected. Other than that, we had a great experience.

I love the place for it's homely food, ambitious and honest food.

Hope this was helpful :)

Great and calm ambience with typical north-Indian outlook and decor. Very polite staff members. The food was good. Too pricey though. A must-visit place for couple and family dining.

Food is amazing .but the waiters in the second floor are not good. They gawk at women while eating. The food is great every time we come. Bad experience with waiters gawking at women every time we come here
