Review Green Theory - Bengaluru

Ravitheja Kandalam
The food & the atmosphere was fantastic. There's lots of greenery & good ambience. This is a vegetarian restaurant, but don't underestimate the options & the quality they provide. Ordered spaghetti tossed in garlic, tomato & basil sauce and a vegetable burger. The burger costed 390 rs. I thought why is it so expensive. But the quality, size and the bite satisfaction was out of this world. They give burger with sour dough bread & one is sufficient to fill a large stomach. Really good in size. 1000X better than McDonald's. Even pasta was juicy & boiled to perfection. If service was good, I would have rated 5 stars. I mean, they're charging 10% service charge, but don't provide anything that makes you think “wow, the service is great." That's the only disappointment I got. Otherwise it was a very good experience if you consider the food & the ambience. Slightly pricey but you can try once in a while.

Very nice ambiance and location. The broccoli soup is a must try and is the best here. All the dishes ordered were too good and scrumptious. Service is very good and fast. Thai options are also delicious. Another Pure vegetarian cafe with varieties of cusines.

Loved the overall experience! From the ambience, to staff promptness, the service, as well as the food options - excellent. The place lived up to the expectations set by the reviews and ratings. Must visit!

We ordered dishes like Vietnamese Pho soup, Chilli Paneer, Pull Apart Cheesy Garlic Bread, Peach Ginger Ale mocktail and a Farmhouse Pizza. Recommendations: Out of all these dishes, we loved Vietnamese Pho soup, Garlic bread and pizza. All the 3 food items were delicious. Didn't expect the vegetable soup to taste so good! Loved the ambience too! The greenery around elevates the food experience. Service can be improved. Found the service to be a bit slow.
tejas balachandra
One of the best vegetarian restaurant in town. We tried pull apart classic garlic bread which was good. However, the showstopper was Paneer satay!! OMG, I still can't forget the taste of that savoury. It was delicious. To end with, we tried Tiramisu.

A perfect place for a weekend brunch. Atmosphere will lift your spirit and food is finger licking good! Never thought pure veg food can be so delicious

Amazing food and beautiful location. A good place to go if you are vegan this is the place you need to be. I thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and experience here. Staff is courteous, service is fast. Food is delicious, portions are good, A peaceful green atmosphere. Coming to the food taste,,, it is just too good. Tried Peri Peri Paneer Flatbread, Brown Rice Tawa Biryani, Thai Mojito With Chia Seeds. Would like to visit again.

Even though it's a vegetarian restaurant (I had to take my boyfriend there begrudgingly), the food is beyond what you'd expect. I ordered the cream of tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich and it was the perfect appetizer to begin with. Followed this with a pull apart garlic bread and Mexican mac and cheese, both of which were delectable. The place is a beautiful peace of haven sequestered away from all hustle bustle. The staff is nice and friendly and I will definitely go back to try as much food as possible. It feels great to finally find a place where you aren't paying just for the location or ambience. It really is a bang for the buck.

Great food. Must try their puris and Breads. But i believe they have great Italian food too. Maybe next time i visit. Great ambience. I was just bugged by the mosquitos in the outdoors. They have outdoor and indoor sittings. So you can choose. A definitely must visit and i will visit again. Value for money for sure.

Extremely serene and peaceful ambience amongst the plants and trees. Food is really good and the menu is vast and diverse. Staff is very courteous and service is quick. Can spend hours here just to let go of all stress and feel rejuvenated. Must try : Pull apart Garlic bread, potato and sweet potato mix fries.

Simple place, tasty food - best soup I ever tasted, amazingly soft bread, mild music in the backdrop. Best for a hangout. But bit expensive.
Vanshika Gupta
Love their food.. Especially the pull apart pesto garlic bread, methi poori and aloo, tawa pulao, sizzler and aglio olio. Recent cold coffee turned out extremely sweet and thus disappointing. But the place still remains one of my favourites!!
Supraja Varadharajan
A very cozy place for a date with your loved ones. The food here is very good, and the ambience is a plus. The staffs are courteous and kind in helping you choose the right menu for you, in case you’re confused. The place is quaint and cute. One of the must visit spots in Bangalore.

Stopped here for a solo lunch. Variety of options available. Ordered the Vietnamese Pho and Mezze Platter which I found very flavorful, well presented and adequate in portion size - the Pita bread and the Greek salad were soo good! Ordered their Mumbai Masala Sandwich and Tawa Biryani for takeout. The items were well packed, the Biryani was subtly flavored without use of excess oil. I liked the beetroot raita, the salad and the generous fries that accompanied the takeout. Service was quick, the staff courteous and the ambience in the outdoor garden very peaceful and soothing. I'll definitely want to visit again to try more items on their menu.

Excellent atmosphere, pet friendly, good vegetarian food, Almost all dishes are good except for a few which we did not like much. Pull apart garlic bread, flat bread, Peta bread with falafal and humus is a must have. Service was very good and fast for a Sunday night dinner...👍

I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and experience here. Staff is courteous, service is fast. Food is delicious, portions are good. I wanted to try a lot of dishes but we were just 3 people. Need to revisit for sure.

Firstly I would say that this place serves only vegetarian food. It even serves jain food. Had been twice to this place lovely ambience. Quite a small place but amazing ambience. But lastly when I went there there where too many mosquitoes which were biting us a lot. There are more of mosquitoes because of the trees and plants.V had tried sizzlers, pizza, and orea cheese cake it was yummy. Had a good experience. Must try there orea cheese cake. I would recommend this place if u going out for a lunch or dinner with your spouse Taste- 4/5 Service - 3.5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Value for money - 3.5/5 Would I recommend this place - yes especially if you are going for a date. Would I visit this place again - yes

visited this place for a weekend lunch. It's a Calm hideout in the center of the city with a zen-garden style décor. Its forte is the Pure veg menu with lesser known but sumptuous continental dishes. They also have Jain and vegan options! The soups are a must try. The ambience and music is perfect for just drifting away in thought or conversation. Variety of seating options both indoors and outdoors. It Also has an exclusive bakery and sells organic products. However no parking available. All in all a must visit!

My friends say I'm a worst critic when it comes to food.. But trust me the food here is worth giving ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place has an "organic magic" The food tastes sooo good that we almost felt like cleaning the dish with our fingers Divine food, good ambience and great service. Hope they come up with more chains with the same taste around Bangalore
Vinay Karthik
Such an amazing place! The ambience splendid, food delicious, place spectacular! Good place to hangout! A lot of fun!

I am vegan and heard quite a bit of this place and knowing they serve vegan food, I was excited to give it a try. First page of the menu says "Vegan options available" but it ends there. No classification/mention of which dishes are vegan so you are left to figure out or trust your waiter. Trusting them to suggest would have helped only if our waiter knew what that was. He had no clue. I would normally be ok about them not knowing vegan food if the menu did not advertise this on the first page. After explaining my non dairy needs in detail, I was left with one suggested option "baby corn fingers with chilli sauce. Sounded great so ordered same to start and the dish comes half submerged into a white sauce. I am surprised and ask our waiter if there was any milk in the sauce and he is quiet confident it's vegan. I tried and found something wasn't right so insisted to check with chef. Our waiter disappears for a bit and then come back saying dip is eggless mayo and made of milk. Disaster! It was later changed (without the dip) and was more like potato fingers. Nonetheless, tasted great. Then it's turn for mains. I thought it was safe to order Thai red curry as it's made from coconut milk and tofu. Turned out that paneer is used here (never heard of paneer in a red curry). I requested it to be made without paneer and dish arrived as per order. Great! Well, only if it tasted any close to a red curry. It was neither Thai nor Indian tasting spices. It was quiet weird and needed a lot of work. Did not bother asking for any desserts.
Thyagaraj Annaswamy
One of the coolest laidback hangouts in the heart of CBD serving good vegetarian food, coffee and tea.
Ruchi Tilwani Chhibba
Beautiful place and delicious food. Have been here thrice and loved the food everytime. Pure vegetarian, has vegan and jain options also. Must visit even if you are a non-vegetarian.

It was my valentine's date with my wife and we choose this place because of good ratings.. we reached around 8.30 I realize that they have stopped being hospitable towards the guests.. instead the person at the reception asked me if I had any reservations so I explained him that I was trying to reach him since morning but they said no reservations required they will provide the seat on first come first serve basis... Now this guy started giving strange looks & put some deals whereas in the first deal he said he will charge Rs. 1000 as entry that can be adjusted towards deserts only.. so we denied. He put a second deal where he stated we have to do a minimum billing of Rs. 1500 to which we agreed but he said he will not be giving any seat in the open area.. I was literally frustrated but suddenly one couple arrived and they said we can take their booking and sit in the lobby area as they have changed their mind.. now coming to food part it's decent not so great and service was poor.I hated this but since it was our valentine's date we enjoyed our company had our food and left the place and have decided never to come to this place.
Kumar Nitesh
Pathetic experience with Green theory, I had been recently and found staff rude to customers, they never give last seat to customers and say it's reserved. I never want to go to this place again.
Kalpan Haridas
Quiet place, lovely ambience. Excellent food. Desserts to die for. In short, a great experience.
Deepa Jayadev
Every penny spent worth it.. Not an expensive place and tasty organic healthy food.. Worth visiting

The most peaceful place to be amidst the city chaos! love the ambiance, food & a special mention to the choice of music played there. sets the mood just right.

How do you define a place is good? For me the place which offers beautiful food to my baby dog Joy is a beautiful place.

Location and ambiance:
On residency road, this place is beautifully located and connected. The approach road is under construction but this helps in better parking. This is a bunglow converted to a restaurant and is beautiful. Whites complimented with a lot of greenery instantly calms you down. We sat in the outdoor seating since we had our dog with us. The place is pet friendly and the ambiance is perfect.

Chilli cheese flatbread:
When I took a bite of this, my heart melted. Perfect flatbread with the right quantity of cheese and spices. This is a recommended try.

Penne in creamy parmesan sauce:
Im generally not a fan of white sauce pasta but when I tasted this, it was like a million flavours bursting in my mouth. Though the portion can be larger given the price but nonetheless the taste was very satisfying.

Drinks:
We ordered a watermelon and Basil juice and a peach ginger ale. The ginger ale was perfect and the juice was fresh

Dog food:
They charge 150bucks for dog food and it's completely worth it. Sauted brocoli, bell peppers, capsicum, zucchini, spinach and cheese. My baby dog loved the food and finished it in no time.

Final verdict: this is a must try place.

The outdoor seating location is simply awesome. They have Super friendly staff. I have had the freshest and best choclate tart here. An unforgettable Memory!

Love the ambience.
The soup options are good.
Lot of healthy options.
Desserts were not upto the mark

Based on good reviews in Zomato we went to
this place for lunch. We did not enjoy the food much probably due to delay in service (they were understaffed) and road work happening in front of the cafe did annoy us a bit. Compared to their peers, they are bit overpriced and food was not that tasty.
Victual_wizard
A Vegetarian restaurant set amidst the city, The green theory @greentheory does a great job of inviting patrons with it's homely lush green outdoor seating and welcoming entrance.
During the Covid-19 season they are tight on their safety and protection routine. Although the staff was sparce and inattentive and if that is because of lockdown or their lack of training is debatable.
The food is an eclectic menu with a Lakasa that is quite worthy of the lip-smacking. Overall they do overburden their food with flavor and also are devoid of a dessert menu.
Ananya Chakraborty
Went there with friends. Loved the atmosphere. They have awesome food and also is a pet friendly place 😌☺️❤️
Kean Lewis
Tried the fruits with honey. And some of their soup. The seating area was very spacious with indoor and outdoor options. Quite a few vegan and veg options as well
Sidhsjain
Perfect ambience, very healthy food. I loved the thai cuisine. And the paneer pizza.

I can never get over this place! Such a soothing and calm ambiance. All the flowers everywhere make this place so lively. So I usually like less crowd when I go to a place and on that particular day I was in luck. The staff happily explained us the dishes which we wanted to order. The interiors are also super amazing. Even though it comes close to the main road this place is still beautifully silent and calm. I always rave about this place to my friends and recommend them this place

Nice place to dineout, and a very friendly environment
Dipika
Two pieces of fruit and barely any granola. Not worth it. May as well call it a smoothie

Went to Green Theory for lunch with a friend and was really impressed by their Menu and service. They have a terrific ambience with a lot of plants and greenery and hence the name. The food we had was awesome, especially the pasta . The service was also nice , the place is a little costly than most places. The only downside was the huge service charge that they add along with the bill. But overall it's a great place to get food and send some quality time.

We stumbled upon a cute and artsy outdoor vegetarian cafe, nestled in a small nook off Residency Road, Bangalore.
For everyone whose favourite place to laze with a large cup of coffee is Starbucks, please try out The Green Theory Cafe. We particularly loved the Coffee Glitterati, which came in an XL cup and looked too pretty to stir. Perfect for that caffeine rush. :3

This is a quaint little all-veg place perched in a house on Convent Road waiting to be discovered and explored. Once you enter, the ambience is serene yet sophisticated. The seating areas are al fresco with lush greenery around so the atmosphere is just about perfect for everything- be it a date, meeting or extended coffee session. They also have other little attractions like an in-house boutique, etc.
Coming to the food, we had
Nyonya Laksa- Laksa being one of my favourite dishes, this one sure impressed with every bite.
Mexican wrap- this was a healthier option with a multigrain wrap and lots of veggies, so basically wasn’t really my type😅
Cookies and Cream- your regular after-class Oreo shake served in a bigger, nicer glass, but can an Oreo shake get any better than that anyway?
Coffee glitterati- the highlight of this was its mesmerising presentation- with the detailing on the coffee done in delicate glitter, and it tasted as good as it looked.
Service was warm and friendly, though they mixed up orders here and there (like bringing the same order twice).
Overall this place is a hidden gem in the hubbub of Bangalore’s CBD and is set to become my usual hangout spot post lockdown :)

Green theory is definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone and everyone. The vibes are so positive and the smell of fresh air and fresh food makes it the perfect place to visit by yourself or even in a group. The food is extremely fresh like the ambience and I can't wait to visit again. Aman was extremely kind to us throughout our visit and the staff in general were very polite and friendly. Make sure you visit, for a great experience, overall!
Shweta Shekar
Despite having called for reservation, a table wasn't booked. Had to wait for 10 mins. The food was pathetic. There was definitely soda in rice. The soup had no taste. The order took forever to be served. Just a couple of items and 2.5h of wait time. The bill was funny though(soup splitting cost was 50rs! - guys, physics does that for you for free)

Lovely place to visit. Ambience is really good!
The best PIZZA I've ever had till date!

The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. The staff is attentive, and eager to help their customers - impeccable service. The farm house pizza was incredible, the hazlenut coffee and pine apple mint cooler were delicious. I look forward to visiting Green Theory again!

The place is a must visit if you are in Bangalore. The food here is just insane. The staff is very courteous, very friendly and really cares about your dining experience. Hands off to John for ensuring we had a great lunch and great time.

Except the ambience, I didn’t like anything.

The food was very mediocre for the price. The menu is not interesting. The food didn’t taste anything exceptional. I asked the waiter’s suggestion for appetiser. He suggested Sichuan Lotus Root. It was oily, and tasted just like gobi manchurian.

The service was pathetic. The waiter’s attitude was as if he’s doing me a favour. There were three of them around, but nobody paid attention. When I returned the only thing I ordered, and I told him I didn’t like it, he just said, “oh, you didn’t like it?”, nodded his head and took the food away. And didn’t return.
Shahnaz Begum
If u don’t mind eating admists flies and mosquitoes then u can visit this place. Although the food was not worth..
Princy
This is such a pretty, green place! Beautiful to sit and chill. Love the ambiance. The service however was not upto mark. Attention is not paid and I had to keep calling the waiters myself for every small thing. Tried the vietnamese coffee which did not taste special or different at all. Fries platter was served with several dips and was decent enough. I will definitely go back to try out the whole menu and then update this review.
Jazz Kaur
Should definitely try Pizza. Don't go for vegan unless you really want to be one.
Nisha
Located opposite to bishop cotton school.
It is a calm place with less crowd.
Ordered pasta and a few starters .
It was a nice experience

Green Theory is a large café space tucked inside Convent Road, like a minute away from the church. the café holds indoor as well as an al fresco area. but I'd recommend al fresco for the plug points and the earthy ambience.
the hazelnut latte, although a tad bit expensive, is still made beautifully w precision. also, there are plenty of good options for coffee if youre an enthusiast.

ive visited the café on two occasions for work. both times the staff was friendly, adjusting and let me be in peace. the playlist is soft dream rock versions of pop songs - in between comfortable and intrusive.

overall, Green Theory makes for a lovely 3-4 hour work session (plus points for the free WiFi!)
best time to visit: noon to early evening as afterwards it did start getting crowded and noisy making it less suitable for work.
Jaya
Been here twice..day for lunch for a treat..and evening for a casual go..would recommend the evening setting...green environment with a candle lit..
Arushi Agarwal
For vegetarians, this place is a blessing... it's so nicely placed amidst the nature that you love every aspect of it from ambience to the food to the staff!!
Imad Ahmed
I chose green theory for a special occasion and their staff were so accommodating and helpful with every request I had. Their food was just as good and made the occasion so much better for everyone. Thank you so much to Sujan and the staff at Green theory!

Went to this place with a lot of expectations, despite my friends' advice not to. Had a very so so experience! Not gonna give a detailed review, just covering the major areas. Ambience - good. Not really spacious, flies hovering around the plates every now and then. I'd give it a 3/5. Food - tried their tomato soup, brocolli and almond soup(which were really good). Cottage cheese pizza was really really sad! So,food will take a 3.5/5. Service - the waiters really need to step up here! Coz it isn't like you don't have enough competition in that locality. People have better places to go to! I'd give it a 3.5/5 .
Value for money - 3.5/5.
Maybe I visited the place the place on a weekend for lunch, hence the crowd. Anyways, wouldn't want to go back to this place again!
Usha Shenoy
We went here on a Wednesday afternoon to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The ambience is beautiful and it was one of the perfect day to sit out. 10 of us in 1 big table and 2 other smaller tables were occupied. Food’s on the healthier side and super yummy. Taking out 1 point just for the service which was super slow considering it wasn’t even crowded!
Suvrat Garg
Enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the lush greenery. The cold brew was smooth and refreshing. Ordered the avocado toast with creamy peanut. Not sure what I was expecting from it but it wasn't particularly tasty. Took a point off between that and the fact that the wifi wasn't working which prevented me from getting any work done while I was there. Otherwise great, especially the service.
Syed Shoaib
My sandwich had 2 melon seeds. Such a horrible thing to find in a toast veg sandwich , beware. The place doesn’t have any tasty things whatso ever.
Avoid this place at any cost.
PROTIK DEBNATH
Food and service excellent

What amazing food! Don't know why i didnt know about this lkace earlier. We ordered about 10 dishes and each one them was so damn good! Absolutley loved everything about this place
Aamen Talukdar
Perfect little place for a date. I had possibly the best pizza/flat bread here and I'd recommend everyone to try the mushroom, caramelised onion and feta flat bread. It's very delicious. So is the Sichuan lotus root and the Thai mojito with chia seeds. Will definitely visit again!

Edit: Went back again, and this time I have pictures. Tried the funghi flat bread again and was blown away by the amazing Khao Suey!
Mrutyunjay Hiremath
It was a very bad experience. The starters(we tried 3) were below average taste. The main course past and sizzlers were just okish. When we wanted to order desserts, they said they have run out of desserts. A bake house running out of desserts by lunch time is not acceptable. Then they said they have a Oreo cheesecake, it was pathetic, it was not even cheesecake, it was more of frozen whipped cream cake. Horrible. We had ordered cold coffee, that had a hair on the foam. How could they serve such a thing. Overall it was disastrous.
Angira Mukherjee
So we went to this place. The set up and decor is pretty nice. Cafe sorta experience. I have a glutten allergy so I asked the chef who dint know what was on the menu. He repeated after me and finally we ordered some baked mushrooms, a plate of diff types of fries and a salad. The food was below average and the fries were basic. The mushrooms, I mean I can make bake better tasting mushrooms.
There was a risotto and steak on the menu. And the chef did not even think of recommending that.

Overall. Very bad experience with the food and it was totally a waste of money. I would highly NOT recommend this place, unless I try something else and it blows my mind.
Aatman Kothari
This café had been on my list for a long time!

The ambience was very delightful in the afternoon, so I'm sure it must be even better in the night.

Tried all-in-one sizzler, multigrain theory burger, tomato garlic with basil sauce pasta and guava spritzer — They were all amazing. It's slightly on the expensive side but it's totally worth it!

PS: They have an exclusive vegan menu card; I could order worry-free!

Would've been great if they had few vegan dessert options.

Their vegan pav bhaji is something which I'm looking forward to trying, definitely worth a revisit.
Harshita Jain
This is probably my 10th visit to green theory. My last visit and today’s visit was horrible. We placed order for 5-6 portions and every order came at an interval of 15 mins. We spent 2 hours here waiting and eating the food. Last visit and this visit they never brought the drink I ordered. And when the bill arrived, they charged us extra for the items we didn’t order. No doubt the food is good, but the service is just terrible.
Swati
We ordered Paneer Satay which was okayish in taste. Then in main course we order bakednaan with paneer and hing wale aloo poori that was good Also we order Apple crumble with icecream for dessert that was quite ok in taste. Ambience was good.
Soniya Mittal
Service was Pathetic, no waiter was der to help us with the order, we had to get up from out place to and ask waiter to come to take the order. Asked for extra hummus.. waiter vanished after that.
Place was filled with mosquitoes

Visited here over a weekday night and loved the ambience in a garden. The food was tasty and of good portion sizes. Quality is perfect and blended. Pricey but works with the nice ambience

Being a pure vegetarian, finding a place like Green Theory is a bliss !

Went for the dinner with family.

The food is good but quantity isn't par with the price charged. The service is also nice.

We tried All in one sizzler, Veg rolls & Stir fried vegetable with noodles.

Veg rolls were oily, burnt and salty. other two dishes were good.

More attention to food side is required.

Overall, nice experience. Thumbs up to the silent and cozy ambience !!!

Awesome place. Great food. Had been here with family. They took care of our special needs & made sure we had a great time! Kudos to Vikas for taking care of us & the hospitality provided!
Surbhi Agarwal
We ordered different varieties of coffee like hazlenut latte, caramel salted latte, almond latte, masala chai and Nutella shots. My personal fav was hazlenut latte and then caramel salted latte. Loved the place.
Priyanka
Pretty place serving some vegan food. They have nice refreshing drinks on their menu with vegan food options. I ordered coconut water based drink. Though i can buy coconut water outside, i just wanted to try something new. Coconut water had some chia seeds in and mint leaf added flavour to it. Their avocado brusheretta is my go to starter when i go there.

Discovered this place on Zomato Collections for a nice Café to hangout. It's safe to say, that out the 5 dishes we ordered, none tasted up to the mark. The paneer chilly coating was thick and paneer was not that soft. The tarts of the papdi chaat were not crunchy but doughy and crumbly. The cheesy flat bread looked like a frozen cheese flat bread was just heated and served. Was quite disappointing. The ambience of the outdoor seating was the only thing that kept us there.
Mohit Jain
Its was my first visit and was very disappointed as none of the dishes ordered were good - the tart in tart papdi chaat was stale, the manchurian in vegetable dumpling was bland, extra fried, hard, not fresh, burnt. I did like their mocktail and indeed they have a very nice and cozy ambience, the outdoor setting is comfy for couples and family

A pure veg restaurant, cafe and bakehouse located in the center of Bangalore that serves delicious food, coffee and cakes.
The hospitality is really good and the place is pet friendly. The price is reasonable and the service was really quick.
A must visit place for everyone in Bangalore

Probably the best dog friendly restaurant I've been to in Bangalore. You can order food specifically catering to dogs. Great ambience and really good food.
Utkarsh
It is an old bungalow which is converted into an eatery. Nice ambience, good food. Not so loud music so great place to make conversations. A chilled brewed beer would have made the place even better :) but no complaints !!!

The healthy food option places are the gizz now and green theory has always been my go to place whenever I'm on a diet.
We ordered glitter coffee, broccoli and almond soup, spaghetti with tomato garlic and basil sauce, lemon and mint cooler.

I highly recommend you guy's to try the pastas here it's lip smacking good and is sooo fresh.
It’s been months since I’ve been here. But every time I think of warm, delicious Laksa I think of Green Theory. Simply the best Laksa I’ve ever had. Their pasta, pizza and desserts are great too! With a comfortable outdoor seating with lots of greenery around, this is a great place for a meal with friends/family.
