Review The Kabab Studio - Bengaluru

One of the best places to spend time with friends, Yes we did one get-together plan for the last 22nd dec night the day we have lots of memories in that place. I wish to tell them that a few dishes are not good otherwise the hotel is fantastic. It was a great day for us and we were satisfied with the food and atmosphere. Thanks to the team who supported us.

Lovely place to have a quick lunch with friends and family .their fresh serving kebab and chaat counter is show stealing. Al fresco seating doesn't operate during lunch. Food is good .

I recently dined at kabab studio Gandhi nagar gold finch . The reservation was easy to make, and the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating us. The ambiance was great, and the food definitely lived up to my expectations. We tried the in house recommendations, and if you visit the restaurant, you should too. This is a must-try if you are looking for a nice cozy place to hangout . โ€

I visited kebab studio after 5 years I think and it is more or less the same. The food choices were almost the same and without any changes. We were a group of 14 people and had a private room. The kebabs were quite good, considering it is unlimited you get full just with the kebabs and cannot move it main course or desert but if you want to try all you have to plan while having starters. May be it is time for them to change a bit of the menu and mix it up for more variety and change for regular visitors.

It was really a great experience, The restaurant is located at the rooftop of the Goldfinch. The food was really good, We really loved having Prawns bbq grill and other dishes. We also tried blue sea mocktail. It was really good. The ambience is so pleasant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. One of the nicest place to hangout for dinner. We tried Chicken bbq leg pieces, fried fish, fried mushroom,Saucy pineapple, bbq panner, Butter roti with fish curry, Mutton Ghost, etc. All the dishes were Good.

In my recent I had one of the best BBQ in Bengaluru, it was at The Kabab Studio. The food here met high standard of quality and flavours. The kabab here made forget about the main course they offer in the buffet. We started with chaats which were prepared by the Chef live for us. They tasted brilliant, the chutney used hit right on my taste palate. I was happy having good aloo tikki, dahi papadi and gol gappe after long time. Then we on for live grill section, the waiter got us the grill and they quickly started serving veg kabab that consisted of tandoori malai Gobi, paneer tikka, tandoori mushroom and many more. First thing, visual the food looked tempting, the bbq were calling me to go for it. The dishes were perfect cooked served hot unlike many unlimited bbq places in Bengaluru. Taste wise I loved how well the paneer, mushroom and Gobi were marinated, you can taste heaven in every bite. Main course had wide varities of veg and Non-veg dishes, Shahi Paneer, Pindi Chole and Chicken Curry were delicious with the garlic naan. They have live roll ice cream counter which shouldn't be missed. And the assorted desserts are blessing for sweet lovers.

This is a nice place for casual dining as well as with office groups. Food is good but their selection of veg starters is quite limited. Ambience is great. Service is slow. Nice place for non vegetarians but it is your expensive in comparison to other similar barbecue chains.

Romantic place for couples. little bit costly compared to the same level of restaurant

The buffet can be better. Went after 5yrs on a Friday, starters were the best. The main course had limited options. The best services provided by the staff and managers. Ambience was good too.

Had been twice with family. The experience was really good. Great ambience, kind and helpful staff, hygienic food, neat and clean place. Overall had a great time. The manager Nabakishore attended us in a very friendly manner with continuous checks and took honest feedbacks.

Bday treat was organized there and yes had a great time on the open terrace with tasty food mainly varieties of starters. Both veg and non veg lovers can enjoy the food. No Regrets in going out there and tasting the food, surely you can enjoy.

Quality of the barbecue was very good and well balanced for the herbivore friends also, and to add spice to already well marinated BBQ was a live performance, which you can actually ask a song to be played live. We ordered a song and the singer did full justice to our expectations. The main course is where there was a little disappointment, but with a good BBQ this was not noticed much. However this can be improved with more varieties. Deserts was good, overall the ambiance was good for quality time and I recommend it.Service was good

Worst behaviour from Mr. Rupesh , who doesn't know how to treat Customers He was very arrogant to elder as well. We had booked for 70 of us, there was delay in service, we asked why delay . He answered very abruptly and inturn questioned why you booked online and was so illogical .

Food was really good. Menu was well balanced for veg and non veg offering both with varios options unlike any other outlets where we often find less to offer for fellow vegetarians. Food servicing was little slow but that u can tolerate for the quality of food served. Also to mention there food presentation was really cool.

Food is good...kebabs ... Chats...Ice cream....but the staff there is totally indifferent to it's customers...I din't even see a single one smiling...they looked very uninterested forced to work n dint even pretend to smile which is done everywhere....they took 30min to get rotis...hd to literally beg for water..food is a thumbs up... service is a big let down

I was here for the DAAWAT E KHAAS and tasted their amazing Biryanis.
They have range of Biryani from Bhatkal and awadhi to Lucknow Biryani.

I had Mutton and Kolkata prawn Biryani. So flavourful and meat cooked to perfection. Each bite you can feel the richness on your palate.
They have a dinner buffet too.
They also have live chat and dessert counter too.

.
Amazing place for family n friends.
Anshik Nigam
I visited this place in perfect time because there is a festival going on named as Dawate e khas. So they provided us 3 different types of biryani from different parts of india. All three of them were very tasty. Talking about other dishes in starters I liked mutton galawati kebab. They remind me of Lucknow's famous galawati Kebabs. Rest all the starters were average. The mocktails were not upto the mark. But main course was really good. Like lashuni ghost and nizami handi.
If you want to try their buffet I would say go for it. Try to attend this Dawate khas biryani festival. You gonna love it.

This is one of the live barbeque buffet places in the area which I wanted to try since a while. We went for a dinner with a couple of friends. They had the Daawat E Khaas food festival with authentic Awadhi cuisine along with the other barbeque options. We opted for the indoor sitting which was spacious and decorated beautifully. We started off with some Yakhni Shorba which was spicy yet flavourful and light. They had a live chaat corner and I had the dahi puri and chilla which were tasty and refreshing. Then they began with getting the live barbeque on the table and all the meat and seafood. The mutton speech kebab was my absolute favorite along with the tangdi chicken and grilled fish. They had 5 different kinds of Biriyani prepared specially for the festival. I absolutely loved the Prawn Kolkata Biriyani and the Chicken Biriyani which were spiced right and had a great tang to it. The main courses had both traditional and Chinese options. I really liked the Seafood in hot sauce and the Murg Kali Mirch. They served piping hot butter naan to go with the various gravies as well. For desserts, they had a mix of Indian and western options and my favorite has to be the butter cake and live ice cream counter. I liked what I had for the evening though I felt the service can be improved a bit especially with the table side serving on time.Overall, a great place to eat with a calm and comforting ambience.

Amazing food. Look I didn't come here for dinner or lunch, the place also serves the breakfast for the Goldfinch hotel. The breakfast was simply amazing. I am assuming it's the same chef's in the evening also.

This place was initially good, how ever there has been no changes in the menu. The food is same, there isn't anything new to try. It will be great if they introduce some thing new.
@veg_maatra
We had dropped there on a wednesday...for dinner. Without reservation it was a bit difficult to find a table since all the main area tables were occupied. So after 5 mins we were able to find a table. The place had live indian music which a bit loud than required. To start off with the buffet, the starters were very good with variety as well. There was one live counter of chats also. The staff were friendly. Next to move on with the main course, being a vegetarian options were less compared to non veg. But they had carefully balanced the dishes and kept one of each kind, like one dish paneer, one dish vegetable subzi, one dish of aloo, one dal( which by the way was lip smacking). So overall it was a complete meal with 2 -3 options of dessert and icecream. Overall I would highly recommend it to people who enjoy buffet and especially vegetarians as the quality of food is very good than compared to any other buffet in bangalore.

Though on the terrace top the place is covered and has a good ambience. The live music adds to the flavour. The service is quite decent and options in the food is also good .

A good place for family and group outings. The starters offer a good variety both in veg and non. veg. I personally liked fish fingers and paneer tikka. The ambience is nice (rooftop section) and staff is courteous.

One of the best hotels in the city. Their non-veg buffet is top notch. Ambience is very delightful. I started my new year 2019 in a best way by visiting this hotel. I highly recommend everyone to visit this hotel.

Went there for the Awadhi festival and I'd confidently say that it's the best Awadhi food money can buy in this city.

This is a roof-top restaurant in the Goldfinch Hotel. The ambience is pretty but the food is off-the-charts. The favours throughout all the items on the menu are deep and beautiful.ย

My favourites: Chicken dum biriyani, Mutton Galouti Kebabs, The Grilled Prawns, The Mango Lassi.

I want to take a moment to appreciate the Mutton Galouti Kebabs that were served on mini Laccha parathas. Both of which were insanely buttery, melted in the mouth instantly and were jam-packed with favours I kept thinking about long after the meal was over.

Gorgeous food. I highly recommend it.

On 14th June, around 54 people from MNC Company had been to this place. One of the worst experience we all of us had. No proper food was served. Most of the members were unhappy with the service. Even after calling many times, there was no Server to attend the table. We all of them strictly decided not to go this place again.

One of the most coveted cuisines of middle India is the Awadhi Cuisine. Known for its use of subtle yet distinct spices for marinades, Awadhi cuisine is known for its succulent meat grills which melt in the mouth. It has widespread influence on the meat dishesย of Lukhnow and to large extent on the contemporary Punjabi cuisine as well. The Kabab Studio, one of Bangaloreโ€™s oldest barbeque restaurants at the Goldfinch Hotel is hosting their special Awadhi Food Festival and it was a privilege to be part of it.ย

Like any Barbeque on the Table, the appetisers were served upfront on a live grill withย rich marinades to render that special Awadhi feel. The Nawabi Tangdi was one of the starters which made its way to our plate directly from the tandoor and was cooked to perfection along with the Shami Kabab and Mutton Ran Khas which were part of the live counter at one corner of the restaurant. The Mithali Fish Tikka and the Kadahari Jinga were marinated just right to render that succulence this cuisineโ€™s known for. We were also served some chefโ€™s specials including the Galouti Kabab which was in a league of its own.
ย ย
The Vegetarian section included the very unique Katthal Ki Kabab, A jackfruit speciality unique to the region and quite a rarity in this part of India. The Jardola Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Phool, and Grilled Pineapple are hot favourites on the grills in many barbeque restaurants. It was however the unique flavours of the Awadhi Kumbh which stood out and scored high with my palette.
ย ย
I directly transitioned to the Mains by skipping Soup and Salads. They were part of the wider spread although the Awadhi delicacies clearly stood out via their aroma and appeal. I loved the Navaratan Korma, Lukhnowi Bhindi, and the Kali Masala ki Daal with the Lukhnowi Sabz ki Biryani. I could never get enough of the Nadroo Murgh Korma and the Nalli Nihari along with the special Awadhi Murgh Biryani chef made for our table, the aroma of which still lingers on.
ย ย
Desserts are a must no matter how much I eat and tonight was no exception. I loved their very indigenous Kashi Halua and the Stone Ice Cream for which I chose Pista as my flavour. The Malai Sandwich and Gulab Jamoon also lived up to their expectation and made us happier with our choice of sweet endings. The Kabab Studio has a very unique ambience and there is always a pan wala to cater to the Banarasi in you after your meal. I did not leave the opportunity to try the meetha Pan here and was quite happy about it. They also have a fully stocked bar and I decided to pair my Awadhi indulgence with a simple potent glass of Long Island Iced Tea whichย blended exactly the way I like-as alcoholic as it can be. This entire spread is priced at 999INR + GST and is on till June 23.

It was a group of 60 people visited to Kabab studio on friday for a corporate dinner. I don't know how can i take out my frustration here for the kind of response, treatment and pathetic service we have received. We waited more than an hour to get our starters and our main course delivered. They have no courtesy for your request and they don't care for customer satisfaction. Trust me instead going to this place you can choose to go absolute barbecue or Barbeque nation or even any other road side hotel where they treat you with great respect and your money is valued.

This is my favorite place for buffet lunch /dinner, located on the Cresent road within the vicinity of Goldfinch hotel on the last or Terrace floor. Was here today for dinner buffet, to try The Awadhi Special (14th to 23rd june). Awesome and Delicious spread. Biryani was heavenly and the starters too kalmi kebab was juicy, loved the prawan and Chicken grill. They too have jackfruit kebab which is equally good, it was my 1st ever experience. Don't forget to try the Mocktails and cocktails here.. Blue Hawaiian is a blend of Vodka, ice-cream and pineapple juice. Best place for corporate lunch/dinner parties, kitty party and get together too. Must visit place.. Decent ambience. I did enjoy the Race course view from the Terrace.

The Kabab Studio

Been there to try out their ongoing 'The Awadhi Indulgence' where in i got to try Awadhi cuisine predominantly kebabs & other stuff.

The Buffet restaurant has live grill setup in each table . Also they have wide range of salad counter, live chaat counter, ice cream counter apart from the starters n dessert section. Do try their special drinks that comes in interesting cases which will surely turn the eyes from other tables :)

Mutton galouti Kebab, Kattal ka kebab , Anarkali Kalmi kebab are the highlights from the live counter..

From the grills, i loved Mithali Fish Tikka which is light n well done.

Not a fan of biryanis in buffets, but surprisingly i loved the Dum Murgh Biryani which is made lucknawi style.. the masala n meat are perfectly working with the rice.. had lots of flavor in it.

Lucknawi Bhindi & nadroo murgh korma are decent to try with the rotis in the main course ..

Black forest pudding & dates pudding are not to be missed if in the desserts menu.. Thanks to the desserts chef who is taking care of the stone ice cream counter, Their pista ice cream was very nice to try upon..

Very very slow service . Not much options in starters . Worst barbeque experience . After complaining to manager as well there was no change in service looked like he was least bothered about costumer satisfaction.

August 2019 - 5 star
Visited this restaurant again. This time food was awesome and excellent service. Enjoyed all the veg and non veg grill items. Main course spread was also decent.
Banana lassi was excellent.

May 2019 - 3 star
Very slow service and food not refilled on time. Only 4 starters and no welcome drinks. We had a 2.30pm reservation and even before the starters are done, they pushed us to try the main course. Most of the main course non veg was empty by that time and refilled only if complained.

Live counter was just pani puri and Dahi puri. Veg starters were better than the non veg options. Mango lassi was very good.

I had really high expectations out of this place as the rating is really good. We went there for dinner on a weekday. The taste of the food wasnโ€™t that great plus the service was really bad. We had to ask the waiters to serve usagain and again.

This place is overrated, food apart from the tandoori is average. The plates weigh atleast 5kg wondering how one can hold in one hand and serve. Uncomfortable serving the food from the pan.

Love the brand Goldfinch, regular visitor to all thier franchise, but today turned out to be a disaster, Firstly we entered the restaurant at 245 and got a seat, after 15 mins while eating starters we were informed to hurry as it closes at 315, we didn't respond we started eating faster, we left our kabebs half way and continued towards main course. ACCORDING TO ZOMATO THE PRICES ARE WRONG THE SPREAD IS WRONG AND WHEN ASKED THEY SAY THEY HAVEN'T UPDATED ON ZOMATO. I was still calm, continued towards main course really average food compared to other franchise, then comes the dessert, no spread what so ever we got an Ice cream and then rabadi which was supposedly burnt or spoilt iam not VERY sure when we informed they said they ll call the chef and manager.

Overall - MIS GUDIED BY THE PRICE OF THE BUFFET ON ZOMATO WHICH THE HOTEL HASN'T UPDATED WE GET ONLY FOUR STARTES IN VEG AND NON VEG AND NOT SIX. SECONDLY NO FREE DRINK AS MENTIONED, THE WAITER TOLD US WE DON'T GIVE IT USUALLY I'LL GIVE YOU MANGO LASSI. DESSERT WE HAD RABDI, ICE CREAM AND SOME CAKE, OUT OF WHICH THE RABADI WAS SPOILT.

PS- Spoilt my mother's birthday lunch.

SCORE
FOOD - 2.5
AMBIENCE - 4
STAFF - 2
CHEF - 3.5 HE WAS ATLEAST CONVINCING.

Overall - 2.5

Giving 1 for misguiding the customer.
This place is very unique and the food tastes fantastic. It's a must visit place when your are in sheshadripuram. Go ahead and enjoy the meal and their starters.

Good food but gets over crowded on weekends so ambience gets ruined because of that!!
We went on a Sunday for lunch buffet and it was a good experience..liked the starter menu esp prawns and chicken, main course is decent and desserts were the best part of the spread! Staff was friendly and served at the right pace but the live music is loud and the place gets over crowded on weekends and completely spoils the ambience ! It started off well but ended on a very chaotic note
I do recommend it for the food but ambience maybe not !!

Worth visiting with a family for a get together.
Ambience is very good. Terrace roof is refreshing. The fooood is yummy yummy and endless.

In the barbeque segment , pineapple and mushroom were standout. Not to forget the Chikoo lassi and egg mayo salad which added delight to the tongue.

Very interactive and smiling service staff.

Quite a good food.. Banquet Food is really better in Goldfinch.. Service has to be improved in Restaurant to its best. Do not feel like going since service is bad..

Went to this place with family members, Nice place, good ambiance, limited items in buffet but tasty, nice and polite staff.

Buffet: prawns were not severed, if included could have given 5 star.

Visited Kabab Studio for a team dinner on a Tursday evening. The place was teaming with people, thanks to prior reservation, although we missed a seat in the balcony.

This place is a heaven for non-vegetarian foodies; vegetarians can take a pass ( no offence meant) as the vegetarian kabab items seem to have been introduced just for the sake of it. The slew of kababs will surely keep your stomach full and heart delighted. The main course is pretty regular and I found it a notch lower in quality compared to the standard of the kababs. We then move to the dessert section, and that's a sight to behold...with the mouth-watering dessert items beautifully laid out; tried most of the items.

The service and courteousness of the staff is quite decent, notwithstanding the rush of customers on a Thursday evening. We were also lucky to have some live music although all the songs weren't quite music to the ears ( quite literally).

This place is a must-try and a suggestion to book a table near the balcony to enjoy the view therefrom.

Buffet Food is very good. But we had to wait for every dish for long time and remind them time and again. I would rate food 5/5 but timely service 3/5

we went this place with out team outing. It's good for non-veg lovers. I don't think vegetarian people like this place. Service is very slow I think because of crowd. I request the management to increase more people to serve.on time.

The Kabab Studio at the Goldfinch Hotel located at Bangalore's prime location, recently celebrated the Grand Trunk Road Food Festival.

It gave us a chance to taste different delicacies from Amritsar to Bengal.

It is located at the top floor. This place has a valet parking and the entry is welcoming.

Having started the Grill on the table, and quite popular with a lot of Family gatherings and Birthday parties, this place boasts of a delicious mouth watering Menu.

They also have a separate dining room with a TV inside for corporate meetings and place to host a small buffet counter too.

Chaats:

Delhi Bhalley Ki Chaat

Mangodi Chaat

Dahi Puri

Pani Puri

Sev Puri

Soups:

Murgh Adraki Shorba - Tasted good with good chicken stock with a hint of ginger.

Starters:

Hara Bara Kebab

Tilli Mili Aloo

Rajma Galouti Kebab

Awadi Sukha Paneer Tikka

Pepper Chicken - Tasted good.

Kashmiri Chooza - Succulent chicken tikka pieces.

Khajoor Ka Masala Tangri - Chicken Legs.

Mutton Sheek Kebab - Well done.

Main-Course:

Bengali Paneer Makhani - Tasted a bit Bland.

Kadai Sabzi - Tasted great

Delhi Sukhi Gobhi - Great taste.

Afghani Pulao - Very tasty dish cooked to perfection.

Mithila Ke Machhli - Cooked well.

Butter Chicken - Cooked well.

Noor Mahal Chicken Biryani - Tasted good.

Desserts:

A live counter for ice creams which is a standard in most buffet places these days where stoned ice creams were available in Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry.

Kaju Pista ki barfi - Tasted good.

Kismish Kheer - Tasted good.

Jalebi - Very tasty.

Drinks:

Sapota Lassi - First try at this drink. This restaurant is a perfect place for a family get together with a variety of food. It has a wide spread of Indian and arabian delicacies!

For the drinks they served a sweet lassi and a melon drink. The only melon drink I have tasted which was natural with no added sugar yet so tasty.

For starters it was a wide spread of chicken, mutton, paneer, prawns and fish. Everything was amazing and the chicken is a must try.

They also have a live chat counter and they are amazing. The salad counter is a must try.

The main courses has the regular spread of any buffet restaurant and they are pretty good.

The stoned ice-cream has amazing taste and they have quite the dessert collection!!

Overall an amazing experience will visit soon.

Had been here for our wedding anniversary. It's on the top floor of the hotel and you also have a outdoor seating option. We chose indoor because of the buffet and we don't want to come in and walk out many times.
The ambience is good and seating is fine but the plates were not fully clean , they were heavy and had dust on all of then had to wipe ourselves.
They started with serving the kabab starters and chats on the table.
Chats were absolutely amazing , their Pani Puri was lip-smacking and one of the best I've had and is a must try.
Kabab paneer and pineapple were good rest were ok.
But the main course was disappointing , roti was not fully made and the curries had no salt at all.
Even the mocktail was not that good , though the menu mentioned fresh fruits it mostly had syrup in it.
Desserts were really good excluding the ice cream which was again just average.

Service also could have been better , my mocktail was just lying there at the counter with no body to bring it to the table for a long time, no salt on table even chutney we had to ask for multiple times.

Overall the experience was good but can improve on the main course and service a bit.
Was here for the grand trunk food festival.
Kabab studio, located at Bangalore's most iconic road at the goldfinch hotel.

This place has vallet and the entry is welcoming.

The menu here has a wide range of indian food.
The dhai bhalley ki chat dhai puri and pani puri are some recommendations

Their mocktails are interesting as well and would recommend the fruit punch.

The starters recommended would be hara bara kabab, tilli mili aloo and awadi sukha paneer tikka.

Try out their food festival and you will not be disappointed.
Stomach Ek (by Ravish Malhotra)
Visited this place last weekend while on a quest to try a new buffet place every weekend. Went with a few other friends and saw that the menu looked quite enticing, and the price not so much. They had a food festival going on called the Grand Trunk Road where they served delicacies from Bengal to Kabul, and so we barged in while craving some good food. Although we weren't disappointed, not much blew our mind as well. It was a decent place overall with excellent service, however it was crowded being a weekend, and thus there was very little space to move around. The following section gives a brief overview about the dishes that I tried:

For drinks I tried:

Sapota Lassi (8.5/10) - Loved this refreshing change in lassi flavours. Usually everyone keeps offering mango, strawberry and such flavours, but not only was this different, but tasted nice too. Would recommend this to all.

Banta Soda (7.5/10) - Was decent as a palate cleanser, but not if you want to savour your drink as well. Was a bit too salty for my liking.

For starters I tried:

Murgh Adraki Shorba (7.5/10) - Was a bit too heavy on the spices (what seemed to be like garam masala to me) and thus was too overpowering for the taste buds. Had a lovely flavour of the meat though which still came through in spite of the overuse of spices. Would work as a nice anecdote to those suffering from cold or allergies.

Mithila Ke Machhli (8/10) - This was quite nice, however the fish pieces were a bit too small.

Kashmiri Chooza (8.5/10) - Quite liked these chicken tikka pieces. These were well spiced and slightly tangy which I love in my tikkas. They were cooked well and were soft and succulent.

Khajoor Ka Masala Tangri (8.5/10) - Another great tasting starter. These were basically chicken legs which were well spiced and were nice and succulent. Loved how the meat just melted in the mouth which is not often the case with leg pieces. Would recommend this to all.

Rajma Galouti Kebab (8.5/10) - I was slightly taken aback when I first heard about this, but when I tried it, I quite liked it. You can taste the rajma distinctively, but it's still nice, soft and delicious.

Awadhi Sukha Paneer Tikka (8.5/10) - One of the softest paneer tikkas that I've had in Bangalore. The flavours were also nice and had seeped inside the paneer pieces. This is not only a must have for vegetarians, but even the non-vegetarians should give this a try.

Chaat Counter - They also had a chaat counter serving some delicious chaats. Most of these were average and nothing that would blow you ever, yet not bad either. I tried Dahi Poori (8/10), Pani Poori (7/10) and Sev Poori (8/10).

For the main course I tried:

Butter Chicken (8/10) - Even though it wasn't very rich, I still quite liked the gravy. It tasted really nice both with Tandoori Roti and Butter Kulcha.

Mangalore Style Fish Curry (8/10) - Again decent, not the best, but the fish pieces were nice and succulent.

Noor Mahal Chicken Biryani (8/10) - Nice biryani, not too overpowering with the spices, Had fragrant rice and nice melt in the mouth chicken pieces.

For desserts I tried:

Jalebi (8/10) - These were nice and crispy and I loved that about these. The only problem was that they were a bit too sticky probably because of being soaked in sugar syrup for too long.

Kishmish Rice Kheer (8/10) - Another decent dessert, and if you do love kheer, you can probably give this a try.

Cold Stone Ice Cream counter (8.5/10) - I would suggest you go for this, as they had 3 flavours - vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, and made different combinations using toppings of your choice.ย Not much could go wrong with these and I made one with chocolate ice cream along with brownie pieces, chocolate chips and nuts.

Overall, this place offers too many options. The ones I mentioned above would probably make just 10% of the total variety they have on offer. There is enough choice for everyone to find something they like, and with the price not so much, would definitely recommend this to people who go in big groups.

Went to this place to attend the on going Grand trunk road food festival which will be happening till 25th of November.

Goldfinch hotel is a beautiful place with kebab studio as its live grill roof top restaurant.

we started our meal with amazing guava sweet lassi. and then accompanied with few chaats like sev poori, dahi poori, golgappa and dahi bhalla. i liked them all.

then we tasted their grill delicacy.

Mithila ki machli.. grilled and cooked awesome had flavours running through my mouth. it was juicy and fresh.

chicken tangri kebab was delight food. super yum and tasty.. after a long time i had such tasty tagri .

chicken tikka was also tasty i loved it.

as i am a briyani lover i had chicken Biryani which was basically dum Hyderabadi. cooked superb.

butter chicken was super yummmy was missing it for a long time but was enough to satisfy my taste buds.

for dessert we had chocolate gulab jamun and kheer.

awesome experience.

A couple of us visited the kabab studio for dinner.
First I would like to point out that they have a Grand Trunk Road food festival happening. This goes on till the 25th of November.

Ambience:
Since there was a party happening we had seating in a room. But the overall ambience of the place is pretty funky. There are separate booths for sweets, chaats and more. The outside seating is pretty good too!

Food & drinks:
Initially we had a couple of chaats. To start off, we had the sev poori and the Dahi poori. Being a chaat lover, I enjoyed them. I always thinks chaats should be a meal starter :P
Moving on, we went ahead to the actual set of starters:
* Murgh Adraki Shorba - the broth in my opinion was a little too strong. The hit of masala in the initial couple of spoons is strong after which the shorba itself becomes comforting.
* Hara bhara kebab - Iโ€™ve had this in plenty of places, but this in my opinion was unique. The stuffing had extra flavour. Iโ€™m assuming a little curd was added too, (not sure) but that flavour stood out. And it is soft and perfect to munch on.
* Mithila ke machli - loved this one. Super soft, juicy fish, flavoured very well. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Then came the main course:
* Butter Chicken with stuffed naan - I liked the combo. Their bread basket is also made in a way that the breads donโ€™t stuff you. Hence the sizes are smaller. The butter chicken could have been creamier.
* Chicken biryani - there were 2 variants to chicken biryani, one was minced chicken and the other had pieces. The flavour the rice had was perfect. It had the perfect amount of biryani masala and the chicken was marinated very well. I really liked the biryani. For me that was the best end to main course!
From here we moved on to desserts. Most awaited part of my meal:
* Jalebi - ever since I saw the jalebi counter I was super tempted, and the jalebiโ€™s are so crisp and gooey on the inside. I loved them. They melted in my house after the first bite. Theyโ€™re not too sweet, just the way I love them.
* Chocolate rasgulla - Big fan of rasgullaโ€™s. Instead of chashni they coat the rasgulla with chocolate syrup. Well, itโ€™s rasgulla and chocolate, I had no complaints here.
* Kheer - this was highlight for me. The rice kheer that was served is by far one of the best kheers Iโ€™ve had. Consistency was perfect, not too thin or too thick. The kheer itself melts in your mouth. Loved it! ♥๏ธ
For drinks we had a couple of mock tails but the one that caught my attention was the Goli Soda. Brought back memories of growing up in Bangalore. The loved it. It was sweet and sour and everything that i hoped itโ€™d be! (Long lost Goli soda love :P)

Service:
They have plenty of live counters and since itโ€™s a buffet you generally walk out to serve yourself.
The starters are brought to the table. The same staff is polite for sure. Theyโ€™re always around for assistance.

One of the oldest hotels of Bangalore and also the pioneers in grill concept and unlimited starters to patrons... this hotel has stood tall in the test of times.

The Grand Trunk Road -Food Festival is happening till 25 th November 2018 and is worth definitely a try. You will be spoilt for choice in both veg and non veg starters.

The ambience is pretty decent, but the food speaks high about the Chefs passion.

Service is one thing to be introspected and a bit of better training can bring about the requisite changes.

The Soup tried-

1.Murgh Adraki Shorbha- highly recommended and a absolute bliss on your palate.

The Chaats tried-

1.Mangodi Chaat
2.Delhi Bhailey ki Chaat
3.Dahi Puri
4.Pani Puri
5. Sev Puri

Try any of the Chaats above and you will just not be disappointed...Just too good.

The Starters tried were-

1.Pepper Chicken - done to perfection with the right spices
2.Mithila ka Machi- one of the best have had of late...
3.Mutton Sheek Kebab- this is the way it has to be done... highly recommended...juicy and succulent.

The Main Course

1.Bread Basket- a mix of Roti,Naan, butter kulcha and butter roti... served hot.
2.Butter Chicken Masala- supplemented well with the Indian breads. Meat was tender and prepared to perfection.
3.Mutton Biryani - Worth trying it
4.Mangalore Style Fish Curry-Have tried far better and the fish was not so fresh.

The Desserts

1.Kaju Pista ka Burfi- good and tasty
2.Jalebi- Fresh, piping hot and just melts in your mouth.. perfect.

Overall the taste was good. Hats off to the chef who has taken pride in whipping up dishes just so right... kudos chef.

Food is great... but service seems to have taken a back seat... our order of paani poori never landed up and the basket of rotis seem to have well been forgotten.. we had to eat the main course dishes without roti... proabably less staff the day we visited... but taste wise was great. Spread is good and the desserts are yummy... wish they could give some better service though .. used to be my favourite dine out but i guess i niw need to downgrade it a bit ...

Excellent place with good ambience, nice service, delivious food and a great view. Good overall value. Highly recommended. Have been there several times and have never been disapointed todate. Far better than their sister restaurants in the same hotel which are best avoided.

Food is fine, service is good, ambiance is unbelievably loud rest of it seems good especially the welcome drink , the savoury chats and the dessert.

Though I've been here with my family and friends many times before...I had actually forgotten to review this place until I revisited today for an office lunch... This has to be one of my favourite only for its kababs.. Be it veg or non veg.. You can fill your stomach with the kababs which are charred right in front of you on the table like your very own barbecue! Apart from this you also have the other spread of roti, curries... Rice.. Bit of Italia and continental stuff with of course salads and variety of desserts. It's really a great spread for anyone with a good appetite. It does get a bit hot inside with charred coal burning right in front of you but make sure u get rid of it once you done with your kababs. The service is bit slow considering there are very few waiters.. But they did manage. Cutlery could be lighter and easily disposable. Special mention for hot desserts like the date pudding and chocolate brownie which were yum. Vegetarian options in kababs must be more considering there were no mushroom, cauliflower which had to be a must. Plus the vegetarian options are not as good as the non veg... I hope equal priority is given for both veg and non veg food to be the best in the lot. Either way this one is definitely a must try for a rare special occasion where everyone is really hungry for more!! Cheers.
Another business trip. I was booked in Goldfinch. Looked it up in the web and saw decent photos and a good review for the seafood restaurant. However, I was there only for the night and so breakfast was all I could experience at Goldfinch.
The buffet was laid out at the rooftop restaurant which offers an amazing view of the race course and the surrounding areas. But, the food and the upkeep leaves a lot to be desired. When I went in at around 8am there was a lady sweeping the place, while some people were having breakfast!
Nothing great to write about the food. I really was looking forward to a masala dosa. The dosa batter was sour that I left it half way. The omelette was greasy and had burnt bits from the pan sticking to it.
Never again, if I have the choice.
Had been for a family party, were around 25 people. Located on the rooftop, awesome view in the night. Decor is good. But the place seemed congested, kids couldn't walk around freely. I liked the starters and the main course. Desserts need to be worked on. Live music is simply pleasing and they did play songs on request.

I have been their for dinner and the concept was asowme.i was enjoying the food like heaven, every bite was mouth melting. The presentation of buffet was superb. Perfect place to enjoy the meal.

Been there for dinner yesterday , had a great experience with the food and service .special thanks to Mr Ranjitha and Abhishek. Liked the way the ice cream was made.

We enjoyed this restaurant as we chose it because we fancied some North Indian food and kebabs. The way the food is served at the table is quite original and adds to the whole experience. The staff were very attentive and all the food hot, fresh and tasty!
One of the worst experience ever... First of all we had to wait 15 min for the seating and even after that he took half an hour just to set up the grill.... Later the buffet didn't have any dal and sabji when required. We waited another half an hour just to get all the main course items and when the food finally arrived it was so bad... Like it wasn't edible itself... The dal was still cold the paneer sabji was tasteless.... And the only excuse the staff had was that they did not have enough staff hired... Like that's my problem.. it's like he is offering me 50% off because they don't have enough staff.... Definitely one of the worst experiences ever. We finally had to leave the restaurant with an empty stomach and by then all other restaurants were pretty much closed too... Those two hours were honestly not one bit worth it... I definitely don't recommend anyone going there as they just can't handle the crowd on weekends and its a total waste of money

Was here on a Saturday for a buffet dinner.Rs.900 Including taxes was a great deal for the spread.Salads, soups, the live grill and chaats, mains and the desserts.
The flavours of the main dishes like the paneer kadhai and dal tadka has to be worked upon,Being the basic dishes of any North Indian restaurant. The grill was great with some amazing spread both Veg and Nonveg.
The ambience is just right!Live, soothing music played it's role. The staff was courteous.
Cheers

There is huge scope for ambiance improvement. The food gets delivered only after asking for 3 to 4 times and sometimes never delivered even after asking for several times. Food is decent
.
This place's speciality is Barbecued dishes and live barbecue at the table. Their main focus is to fill up with starters and not bother about main course. They had live bollywood music, courteous staff , food was decent. Tried only veg food, the barbecued veggies were little too strong and pungent on spices! Gave them feedback before leaving. Ambience is really good and better than the other outlet they have. Main course and desserts hardly had any items which was dissapointing as the kids wouldn't eat the starters main course had nothing interesting to offer.

Could improve on having more items in the main course as well.

Not worth it guys. The starters were soggy and bland. The spread had limited options. Cheers to the ambience, quality and staff. Taste wise I would rate 2/5. The only saviour was their North Indian style chats. There are so many other options in the neighbourhood for the same cost. Final verdict - donโ€™t screw up ur meal time.

Delightful experience. Polite and friendly staff delivering prompt service. Starters served on the on-table barbeque were good, especially the chicken. The main course spread was amazing, wide variety of north indian dishes, biriyani and a dash of asian. Chats and dessert add to the experience. Great place for family and formal outings.
