Review Chulha Chowki Da Dhaba - Bengaluru

We booked for a room through the cleartrip app. It was confirmed, but when we arrived, the receptionist told us that five rooms were put under maintenance due to an electrical fault. He said that cleartrip was informed. But the hotel staff were very courteous and arranged for an alternative room at a nearby hotel. They dropped us in their car and made sure that we got a good room.

Decent clean rooms. The bathroom was a bit claustrophobic. The linens were not very clean and I had to ask for change. The manager also seemed to be a little confused with the large group. The food quality had deteriorated and breakfast wasn't as good as before. I have stayed in the property thrice before but the quality and service has gone down.

Great place for business stay in Bangalore. At 2400/- MAP , it is simply value for money. Food is good. Only thing I missed was daily room cleaning.

Clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Good air-conditioning, hot water, nice beds and great location in heart of south Bangalore. This hotel gives a 100% Indian feel, like staying in your relatives house :), rather than a boring boutique hotel, which is nostalgic and nice. Thanks for keeping it the old style, love it!

Beautiful, spacious and affordable rooms. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in J O Nagar. I got a better room than I booked. The service is good and the staff is friendly. I'm definitely going to stay here next time when I visit Bangalore.

Overall good experience. Room were neat and clean. I have checked in late. But they have provided me good room. They also have restaurant at the ground floor. Staff are also cooperative. Hotel was also clean. I found it little overpriced.

The room was very well designed in a retro themed. Spacious room, Clean restrooms, nice towel, the pantry was served with mik powder, sugar, tea and coffee sachets. The view from the room is very good.. highly suggested for a family trip..

I've been here a lot of times. I must say, the food is delicious. The buffet dinner menu never disappoints me. Worth every single rupee. Usually, there is little to no waiting time. But during weekends, when the crowd builds, you gotta get out as soon as you finish your food or else the staff can get pretty cranky(I've experienced this 😅).

Being a non vegetarian, usually I don't prefer to go for Veg Menu Restaurant.. though I have been a few times, but nothing gave me that satisfaction and happiness as that of a pure Non-veg one until I visited 24th Main.. This was by far the best Veg restaurant I have ever been. The Veg buffet spread is excellent and drooling.. The menu is really huge with ek se badh k ek dishes.. I bet you would fall for every single dish that's served here. The Ambience is decent enough, Calm and air-conditioned. The service is nice. It's easy to locate, placed on main road. Most of all the food, every dish tastes the best. I was tooooooo confused which one to have and which to leave.. there would be a different smile on your face having such nice Veg recipes with perfect taste.. The best part for me was the Desserts... They have kept every dessert one can have in a buffet. They were all fantastic and Colorful too to satisfy the eyes.. 😍 For the buffet price they are giving, this the the maximum one can wish for... I would like to visit this place again n again given a chance... Dear Restaurant, Please maintain the same taste and quality of food always, not disappointing a pure hardcore Non vegetarian like me to have your food again n again ...

A good spread ...not too many items nor too little. They tasted very good. The buffet included a fair share of well made south Indian dishes too. I think that's a highlight. Food: great food with excellent spread of dishes. The food was not very spicy and every item was tasty. The starter will be served on the table but everything is on buffet (there is a la carte menu as well) Service: the staff are friendly, the manager was walking the floor asking customers if everything is fine. The waiters were helpful in recommending food and bringing us with what we need. Ambiance and parking: the restuarant setup is great with a wall fountain and very light instrumental music in the background. The lighting is perfect and not very sharp or dim. There is plenty of 2 wheeler parking but not many 4 wheeler. Overall: great restuarant for a family get-together or a party, great for a nuclear family as well with affordable price(may cost from ₹1200 to ₹1600 for 4)

At last found one good veggie placee around the area 🙈❤️ Awesome place for some lip smacking North Indian food with wide variety of options at such affordable prices. Starters Paneer Satay - MUST Dragon Roll Hara Bara kebab - MUST Maddur Vada Do phool do swaad All of them were amazingly plated with the vegetable carvings😍😍 The best Carvings I have ever seen. Hats off to the man behind this. The details in the carving leave you awe struck. And yeah they surely tasted as good as they look. Main Course Paneer Darbari Vegetable Tripura (MUST) Dal Tadka Bread basket ( Roti ) Vegetable Rice Bisi bele bath (MUST) The authentic flavours of the North could be felt. Mouth watering gravies with Perfect rotis 🙈❤️ Desserts Moong dal Halwa, Mysore Pak, Elaneer payasam. Ohhhh❤️❤️❤️ Lemme tell you Elaneer payasam is heaven on Earth 🤤❤️❤️ Am definitely gonna go back there for it🙈❤️ Coconut milk with the coconut inner skin 🤤 Ahhhhh😍 One awesome dessert it is. Their Buffet is very much affordable and has a good variety too. I would say it's completely worth. Staff were so good and friendly giving you suggestions on everything you need.😁

The food is very good. If you are a veggie, this place is a must visit. Ambiance of the place is excellent. Service is just average to above average. There seems to be lot of miscommunication among the staff when crowd increases. Like when you order something, either it doesn't arrive till you remind again or two waiters end up bring the same thing. **One important thing to note is these people add service tax of 5% other than the gst**. You will end up paying 5% more if you don't ask the staff to remove this from bill. So beware of this. Over all, if not for anything else, you will be drawn to this place just for the taste of the food.

Nice restaurant, has got its own authenticity. The food was really delicious & music was good. This place offers wide ranges of food like chinese,continental,,,etc. I liked the seating arrangements & lighting systems, waiters were good. Its nice if you choose full buffet. Nice place to go in groups. Good for kids.

24th Main Restaurant: Has an option of both buffet food and A-la-carte. Tried buffet lunch here - starters were deliciously amazing with great variety and taste, main course did lack varieties though particularly in curries although the taste was good, desert was fair enough with few options in sweet. Ambience is good except the floor which looks old. Staff is courteous and polite. Cleanliness is impressive. Has valet parking available.

The food arrived within 30 min and the packaging was spill proof . Starters was reshmi kabab and Gobi Manchurian ....it was quite tasty ! ..the Reshmi kabab was really yum and the omlete on top very fluffy and cooked wonderfully.<br/>The roti and chicken butter Masala was the main course and the curry was cooked moderately, not too spicy and not too sweet . It also had 4 big chicken pieces so the quantity was good enough.<br/>Coming to the kulhad sweet lassi..it was really a delight to end the meal with such yummy lassi !!! <br/>

No value for money...portion size is very less especially main course...taste was satisfactory..but one of the item had stale tasting capsicum in it so not sure about quality..!!

Ordered Chicken Butter Masala and Kadai Paneer. I had specifically asked them to make it less spicy but it was full of spices. Their food tastes good however, they don’t know how to customise the order according to the customers. I can get many restaurants serving less spicy food but we order from renowned restaurants because we trust them. I don’t think I’ll order from this restaurant again. Disappointed.

I ordered tandoori chicken and sweet kulhad lassi from chulha chauki da dhaba and the quality was awesome like all other days. Chulha chauki serves best chicken tandoori. And there is no comparison for it's sweet lassi. Always great experience 👍

Ordered Green peas masala, dal, butter roti and butter naan. <br/>Despite giving explicit instructions of dal without green and red chilli and also it is for a small child; dal was filled red chilli. Picture speaks volumes on how much they read and follow instructions. <br/>Butter roti didn't have a drop of butter but was charged for butter roti. <br/>Green peas masala had hardly any peas! <br/><br/><br/>If you want have torturous experience or want to have a torturous experience, go ahead and have food here. <br/><br/>Needless to say I would rather stay hungry than order from such an incompetent so called 'restaurant'. <br/>Makes me think on their 4+ rating on Zomato! <br/>

Alright!! So if you are really really hungry do not visit this place coz they ll make you wait forever to get your food.This place is a small Dhaba like any other but and the taste is absolutely worth the wait ( we went on a Sunday afternoon and were extremely hungry) you will love the hospitality and the kulhaad lassi is just amazing..yum yum 😋 a budget friendly with tasty food restaurant. When in Bangalore one issue that many face when it comes to dining out is whether there’s parking at the place or not. This is not a worry when you come here, there’s ample parking space and security ensuring safety of your vehicle.<br/>Moving to the interior, the place is well decorated with furnishing that will make you feel like you’ve entered Punjab. <br/>Staff are very kind and very approachable.<br/>Now the main part the food, I personally wanted to thank the chef for the amazing taste and for sure love was put into the making of these dishes.<br/>My order was: Chicken handi, Malai kofta, fulka, kulcha, Buttermilk and lassi <br/>The food with every bite melts in your mouth and from all that I had, it kept me craving for more. <br/>This place uses no preservatives nor any food coloring yet the dishes are vibrant and tasty.<br/>I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone who crave a taste of Punjab.<br/>I very rarely do give reviews but this place was definitely worth it and would urge everyone to give it a try.

So CCDD have recently started their dine-in services. They are known for their amazing lip smacking food. I was really amazed by the neat and clean area, strict safety precautions and measures that was taken. I really liked and recommend chicken lollipop, stuffed mushroom tikka, missi roti, dal makhni and lassi. Their lassi is really really good.

For a quick taste of North Indian, head to chulha chauki Da dhaba for a complete 3 course meal served with love and commitment to the cause.🤩🤩

Ordered from here recived worng food because of restorent mistake. And complained has been raised restorent was ready for replace the food which I had received but I feel this is not safe at this covid19 situation recving food from customer and taking back to restorent not at all safe and I don't what they gone do with that food which I had touched it. what if I m positive person so this way replceing food is not right they should pay back to customer money or else they should prepare item and give it or else they can check with customer if they are ok with that food then and chargers are different they should return back money to customer what they have done is toatlly not safe no turst on this restorent during this time they should be more careful

Kulhad lassi and tangy spicy jaljeera... Rustic seating with simple cutlery... Tandoori roti and kababs.. This place takes you back to the dhabas in Punjab! Quick service, elaborate menu, finger licking good food, courteous staff - this place ticks all the boxes! Craving an authentic punjabi dhabha experience, this is the place to go to. Try reaching there early, as the place gets full pretty soon!

Little expensive in price but the best food you can get,and kulhad lassi is a must try there.

Worst food ever I had. I don't know how did the manage to get more than 4 rating. More than money it just spoiled our special day.

If it was possible to give the food a negative rating, maybe I'd have something to be happy about when I thought about this restaurant. The chicken curry had more salt than it had curry. I paid 350 for 1 curry, received a bucket of salt instead and when I tried contacting the restaurant (hoping that maybe I could send the food back and get a replacement), they didn't even have it in them to even respond. I don't think I've ever had a worse experience when eating from a restaurant.

For a quick taste of North Indian food , we all have a 'go - to' restaurant around our places. In BTM/JP Nagar, chulha chauki da dhaba is such a place for many of us. Not only because, it serves tasty food, but also because it has a nice dhaba style decor inside.Out latest order from CCDD, although took a little dent on the reputation from taste perspectives. We ordered,<br/><br/>1. Chicken lollypop chilly<br/>2. Egg fried rice and <br/>3. Chicken afghani<br/><br/>The first thing to hit us was spicyness. Chicken lollypop was in good quantity. There were 5 pieces and each was quite a large one. Chicken was juicy. However, little we knew , that chicken lollypop chilly would be so 'chilly'. I personally was a little short of having hot air , coming out of my ears.<br/><br/>Egg fried rice was ok. Not oily, a little short on salt and sugar. But some sliced green chillies made their way in the rice and had us this time, to reach out for tissues.<br/>Chicken afghani is a must try dish in CCDD. Those who like cashew/almond based gravy with little sweetness, this dish will never cease to impress you. Chicken pieces were large and was present in fair quantity. <br/><br/>We hoped for a great meal from CCDD. It has taken quite a few visits at CCDD, over a prolonged period of time to have such an expectation. That itself says a lot about the restaurant. I had ordered for two chicken biryanis . I have received a cockroach in the biriyani. This is highly unacceptable while there is a pandemic out there . This is highly unhygienic.

Decent place for a quick bite. Food is good and not laded with oil to give it that hotel-ish taste which is a credit to them.

Egg manchurian was spicy and juicy. Lasuni chicken tikka was perfectly cooked in assorted spices giving it a dash of exotic feel.

Had to wait a lot, around 45 minutes for a seat. The waiting could have been justified if we would have got good quality food. I generally do not write reviews but this was the third time in a row that I got such food. To start with, the starter, sholey kabab was their 'food of the day' but the chicken was uncooked. The main course was served with uncooked chicken too. The only saviour was paneer paratha. The price is not at all worth the quality.

Great Punjabi cuisine and at a very decent price. It gives you a vibe of dhaba as the name suggests. Non veg dishes are good. This being one of my favorite restaurants in Bangalore, has got amazing Punjabi food. Loved the chicken lollipop and lemon chicken.

We've been going here regularly for the past four years and the taste has not gone down one bit. Everything on the menu is excellent. The daily special lemon wings were amazing
