This place is right opposite to the iol petrol pump. The food is authentic Mexican. I tried the Chicken wings followed by pulled lamb enchiladas. The Oreo chocolate milk shake was very light to the palette too. The ambience is nice too. However it's a bit pricey.

Ths has become our to go place! Quiet ambience.gud Mexican food. Must try their Litchi Thai chilli drink! They also ve loads of books to sit n read or can jus spend time talking!

Awesome ambience, music and food. Probably one of most economical Mexican food menu in whole of bangalore. Although alcoholic drinks are removed recently they compensate it with delicious food. Try it out!! April-2018. - Unfortunately this place is closed. I couldn't explain why!

Nice ambience with a good menu. All the dishes we tried were good except for prawn. The roof seating with tree branches is a unique experience. Slightly on the expensive side with kind of long waiting times.

I am giving it 4 stars because you can only ask for so much authenticity in Mexican cuisine in Bangalore. For example, the salsa doesn't come with chips. And it comes in an espresso cup. Seriously?? The waiter was trying to explain to me what salsa is when I tried to tell him that salsa is always served as a salsa-chips combo; at least that is how it is in Mexican restaurants. The salsa was pretty decent, though. In general, the food tastes pretty decent. The ambience is good. Our chicken dish and squid fry tasted nice. You miss the richness and comfort that you typically get in a Mexican cantina, but for being a Mexican restaurant in Bangalore, they are doing a decent job.

Really good Mexican food although it's rather expensive. Nice environment. A part of the dining area is open to the air on four sides (there is an overhead covering). On fair weather days it's very pleasant to sit there and dine.

Lovely mexican food!! Loved the Quesadilla and Rice bowl! Chicken wings were good but wish they had a small portion for 2. Were seated on the balcony table with the open view on a quiet weekday evening and it was wonderful!

Love love love this place! Fresh tasty food with plenty of jalapeños, just the way I like it, good strong cocktails, lovely rooftop chill out zone. You have to try the tortilla pizza, it's to die for.

They are the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Great tacos, burritos, quesedillas, enchiladas, fajitas, and crisp freshly made Nachos with toppings and salsa. They also have a good alcoholic and non alcoholic range of drinks as well

Sitting on the balcony well above street level is a wonderful experience in the evening. The staff are friendly and supportive and the food is good. Overall an interesting place to visit from time to time.

A really nice place in new bel road for Mexican food. Great AMBIENCE, friendly staff and above average food. I'll probably visit again just got the service they provide(not just the food).

Food was delicious, ambience was pleasant and the place is creatively decorated. Prices somewhat high, but compared to similar restaurants I've seen online, its reasonable and I would say, worth it.

Good Mexican joint. If you are tired of Taco Bell and other Mexican 'knock-offs', then this is the next best thing in Mexican Cuisine. Habanero Chicken wings were delightfully spicy and went well with the Tortilla soup. The Pollos Asada quesadilla was good and so was the BEL Chicken BBQ Burrito which was exploding with flavours. Surprisingly, the quantity is more than enough. Absolutely awesome ambiance with superb artwork featuring a lot of luchador and Dia de los Muertos works here and there and food is better than most joints serving 'authentic Mexican'. The only downside was the 1 hour plus waiting time. All this comes a tad bit more expensive than Taco Bell of course but I would gladly recommend it to anybody craving for Mexican.

I used to live in Ramaiah till last year and I really miss that place so I make a point to visit every now and then for my food cravings! I was there at The Heat last evening for dinner. I am a veggie so I mostly get the best options in a mexican restaurant compared to any other cuisines' restaurant and Mexican food is my favorite as it always gets my taste buds alive. So, I ordered all of these and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was really nice, staff was hospitable and ambiance was great too as the music was perfectly blending in the air. Thank u guys for the lovely experince. Will visit again for sure. :)

Nice place to relax. Our daughter treated us . We had chicken wings , beer ......etc., It was fun. The service was good too. My daughter 'so favourite joint.

The worst mexican place in Bengaluru. The server tells us no tortillas which means, no fajitas or burritos o quesadillaa.They took more than an hour to make simple chicken wings. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

The waiter we had was fantastic, he made our small children feel special which was great. The food was good, very filling. The kids meals are very well priced as are the mains. Would do back for sure

Really good food! The tortilla pizza is a must! Love the deck overlooking BEL road. All in all a beautiful place, where they greet you with a very pretty floating candle on your table.

Our favourite local, great pricing for quality of the food and cocktails, had the opportunity to try out the new bar upstairs - safe to say I think we've found our new Friday night hangout. Very child friendly as well.

If your a Mexican food lover, Then this is a right place for some Mexican food! My fav food here is burrito and enchiladas. The place is beautiful as well as the crowd. Everything is good except the service, it's pretty slow and the quantity Is cheap! Especially When you ask for some extra nachos.

This restaurant has a variety of seating arrangements, from rooftop seating to tables to cozy nooks by the bookshelves. The ambience is really pleasing and comforting, to say the least.<br/> We ordered the tortilla pizza as appetiser. It comes with 2 types of sauces- BBQ and mustard mayonnaise. It tasted delicious. We also ordered the classic bean tacos and fajita cottage cheese enchilada. Both of them are served with rice on the side. The tacks tasted great too! But the enchilada was a huge disappointment. There was too much tomato sauce. <br/> I've also tried the pineapple enchiladas and the churros, both of which are a delight to you tastebuds! <br/> The service was great. We asked for warm water to drink and they were very attentive about that. <br/>

Was here a while back. We tried the Mexican Caesar Cilantro salad, Tofu Loco sandwich, Super nachos, Nilgiri Black Tea and Coffee Frappe.<br/><br/>Sit here in the indoor seating. Amazing restaurant!! Loved the ambience of the topmost floor and the look of the mixology station( is that what its called¿- the drinks place). It's the best place to go if you're craving a plate of finger-lickin' churros. Also a great place to hangout with friends.

Ordered a burrito but served it to the wrong table while we were sitting and watching everyone eat. Got so late we walked into a fast food joint for timely delivery.

I got to hear quite a good number of rave reviews about this place from a lot of people I know - and being a big fan of Mexican food, it piqued my curiosity. <br/><br/>So I turned up here with my friends for lunch on this rainy afternoon. We chose the indoor seating - and the ambience is quite relaxing. There's a little library of books you can surf through and pick to read (and if you're quite the bookworm like I am, you'd be pretty darn impressed with the collection 😉), so I was quite surprised and pleased by that. ☺<br/><br/>Coming to the food, we ordered the Super Nachos for starters, which were served with sour cream and salsa. It definitely lived up to how I like my nachos, that's for sure. ☺ The toppings were fresh and tasty, and to me, the nachos didn't seem at all like those typical, store bought, practically - drowning - in - salt nachos - but more like those scrumptious, freshly made ones. My only complaint about this would be about the quantity on the plate, which needs to be increased. Apart from that, this dish is a must have. ☺<br/><br/>For mains, we ordered the Grilled Cottage Cheese sizzling fajitas. This had to have been my favourite dish of the entire meal, hands down. The paneer was cooked really well, and the fajita spices were a perfect addition to it. I liked the whole construct - your - fajita concept that the dish came with - every accompaniment served along with the tortillas and the fajita filling fit in so well, the overall result was really satisfying. Yet another must have. ☺<br/><br/>We ordered the churros for dessert, and they were really darn tasty. The churros were so crisp to bite in to, which is exactly how they should be. I couldn't stop licking my fingers clean of that cinnamon sugar, I felt like a little kid at that point! 😜 The dark chocolate dip was a good accompaniment to them, and as much as I liked the ice cream served, I didn't particularly see the point of adding this to the dish - since it would've been fine if only churros and the chocolate dip was served. All in all, a really good dessert. <br/><br/>In a nutshell, a really good visit. When it comes to Mexican restaurants, this place is surely bringing "the heat". 😉

Had heard a lot about this place and finally visited it yesterday. Ambience was good and out of my love for mexican food ordered a lot of dishes. Chicken nachos and prawn appetizers were really good. Had ordered their cob salad and was too full to finish it. So a huge portion was left and I asked for a parcel. To my shock when i reached home and opened the parcel they had not packed even 30% of what was left. Truly disappointing.

Truly maxican, tasty food, super ambience. Little heavy for your pocket.<br/>Ambience: Great ambience, huge place 3 stored, has a seperate bar and roof top sitting. If you really want to enjoy your drink then go to the roof top which has a huge screen from Live sports. It has a quite, less noisy space for family dining as well.<br/><br/>Food: Everything (whatever I tasted) was quite tasty and truly maxican. Must try tacos, price of tacos is reasonable & good portion size was good enough and the best part you can design your own salad. The food choice is elaborate and the food quality and quantity in comparison to the price is worth it. The loaded Nachos and the pear salad was absolutely amazing.

I wish I could give a rating of zero but the option is not available. It's my husband's last night in Bangalore and I wanted to leave a good impression of the place on him. Since he likes Mexican food, I thought of taking him to this place after reading the reviews on Zomato. Never have I had a worser experience in my life. <br/><br/>We ordered some chicken wings, the seafood platter, lamb enchiladas and a taco salad along with two mocktails. <br/><br/>They brought our main course even before we had finished our starters and when I enquired about the salad I was told it was still being prepared! On the menu, the seafood platter boasted having calamari, prawns and fish but somehow the calamari didn't make it on mine. When the infamous salad arrived, I saw a dirty worm wriggling out of the lettuce. Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to take a pic because I was trying to keep the worm from wriggling off the plate so that the waiter can have proof of the lack of hygiene from their part. <br/><br/>Needless to say, our appetite was destroyed. The waiter returned with a bland apology and the manager could not even be bothered to do such. They brought us a complementary dessert ( without even asking us if we want one or a choice of one for that matter). We left it untouched and just paid for the bill. As if that wasn't enough, they had the audacity to not return with exact change!<br/><br/>This place is unbelievable!!!! Never again. My night is totally ruined. I work hard like anybody else just to treat myself to something nice once in a while. To have one's hard earned money ripped off like this is unacceptable. Shame on whoever is running this place

Ambience here is awesomeeeee.. even the decor here is unique.. coming to the food, it tastes great and service can be more efficient and they have to know what their menu offers!!!! Nevertheless a good experience..

This is one restaurant which has always been close to the heart. One reason being, it is one of the fisrt eateries that I explored.<br/><br/>Wonderful ambience. Great if you get a table outside, below a wooden canopy and the busy street to give you company. <br/><br/>One must try the Grilled fish Fajita, the classical chicken wings (Habaneros), the penne pasta, the quesadillas. The mocktails are okay. <br/><br/>In the desserts, the churros and chilli brownie sizzler are a must.<br/><br/>The interiors are appealing too.<br/><br/>Worth a visit. <br/><br/>All positives, so why a 3.5 rating. Well on one occasion, the waiters took over 25mins to get us two extra plates. That is very poor service.

I proudly can say it's the only Mexican restaurant this side of town and they live upto everyone's expectations . <br/>Although it's a little on the pricey side you shoudnt mind paying for it's a change to the taste buds . We in fact ordered two plates just for the fish taste.<br/><br/>The second plate although had crispy tacos inspite of us ordering the soft ones. It was clearly a case of misunderstanding between us and the staff. That incident dented our impression a bit. <br/><br/>Enchilada plate with prawns filling and a variety of side dishes- This dish was something of a surprise. Though the side dishes like guacamole, Pico de Gallo, tomato salsa were extremely good, I somehow would have preferred a little more heat n spice in the prawns stuffing.<br/><br/>All the dishes were true to their name. It had the Mexican flavour. <br/><br/>The only disadvantage is that they don't serve alcohol. Imagine sipping on your beer or any other alcohol with these snacks. !! A match made in heaven!!!<br/><br/>Apart from the food, the overall ambience doesn't excite you the way you would want it to. As I said earlier, it might be because the place was almost empty. There are both balcony and indoor seatings Available. <br/><br/>For the price they charge, I felt that the place needs to be more customer oriented and more spacious. Food was average. We tried a burrito, nachos and fried ice cream for dessert. We expected high chicken filling... But got good load of potatoes inside the roll. The fried ice cream read terrible. For some reason the chef decided to serve each member of my family in sequence....

Went to The Heat on Valentine's Day after reading lot of great reviews, but was highly disappointed. To begin with, parking is an issue on New BEL road - I called up the restaurant to enquire if they have any designated parking. And guess what, the staff on other side of the phone disconnected the call without bothering to reply. The restaurant does not serve alcohol, which I didn't know as zomato's website said that full bar is available. The food was average. We had asked the food to be spicy, but the cook didn't work on it. The only thing positive was that the service is really quick. I had the starter, main and one drink within 1 hour 10 minutes and was out of there!! Will not go back there.

We went here for a Sunday brunch. They have 2-3 floors for dine in and we sat on the rooftop area. <br/>It was half filled. <br/>Ambience was very good and peaceful. They have good Mexican varieties on veg and non veg menu.<br/>We had lamb, fish burritos, fried ice cream and all tasted extremely delicious. Staff was also well mannered. In short, a very good place to hangout with friends with awesome food.

It is the first time we were here today and were a little hesitant. Nice ambience and great menu spread. We had Burritos and a Cilantro Fish and it was great with just a few flavours amiss. <br/>Now being a little appealed with the food served, we ordered for Chicken Tenders with Habaneros and were a lil disappointed. For one we received wings instead of the tenders we had ordered for and two the wings seemed overcooked probably what happens when you freeze already cooked chicken and sauce it up, reheat it and serve. Hmm, that was disappointing.<br/>So, would we go there again, probably but this time we will be sure as to what we say from the menu and insist that we receive the same that is ordered.

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday. The valet service immediately took care of our car. We were the first patrons in the restaurant and our waiter Rajeev courteously gave a nice set of seats overlooking the traffic. He explained the different menu items along with their specialities.<br/><br/>We had the following:<br/>1. Super loaded nachos - the nachos were a bit over fried<br/>2. Jalapeno dips - Nice cheesy balls with jalapeno. They tasted really good with their spicy mayo.<br/>3. Watermelon and feta salad - The salad was nice, but they should have added a lot more feta. <br/>4. Virgin Mary and Virgin Mojito - The drinks menu was removed a month and a half back. So, we had little choice with beverages.<br/>5. Tortilla pizza - This was part of appetizers menu, but the pizza was delicious.<br/>6. Rice bowl - It was average.<br/><br/>Overall, its place worth a visit.

This is one place in banglore where we can find the actual Mexican cuisine... The ambience is good,service is quick, presentation 10out of 10. Coming to the taste... We ordered super nachos, sizzling veg fajitas. The nachos were just out of the world. The fajitas are really yummy when you make it yourself. Overall a great experience.

If you're ever haunting this part of New BEL Road for a good meal, you'll be spoilt for choice. If you happen to have enough money on you, it's worth choosing The Heat to satisfy your cravings.<br/><br/>The pleasant rooftop charm is complemented by their fine piped music and interesting decor. Service was quick and efficient, at least during the early lunch hours.<br/><br/>Getting down to business: (I haven't tried much Mexican cuisine outside Taco Bell so this might not be very helpful on a relative scale)<br/><br/>1. Wild Mushrooms Quesadilla: This is a must try. Four well-stuffed and delicious pieces of quesadilla served with salsa and sour cream. Our best pick that afternoon.<br/><br/>2. Taquitos: These were four nice, crisp and delectable rolls, stuffed on the inside (we chose the veg variant) and with generous portions of salsa and guacamole loaded on the outside. Unacquainted with this dish as I was, it was a good choice to have my first one here.<br/><br/>3. Chilli Cheese Fries: This is essentially a big tray of guilty indulgence. Fries (and, occasionally, potato wedges) all over the plate soaked in melted cheese and showered with embellishments. Imagine a plate of nachos, and replace the tortilla chips with fries and add on some spices. Voilà. Served with chipotle ketchup and ranch dressing.<br/><br/>4. Fajita Diablo sandwich: Not the tastiest of sandwiches but very filling and makes up for the rest of my meal in terms of the veggie quota.<br/><br/>In terms of quality and quantity, the food was well above par. Everything was served with multiple dips and you could mix and match at will. Prices are reasonable but it is the taxes that catch you off guard. But looking back at the portion size and taste, the extra outflow does not hurt as much as it normally would.<br/><br/>It's only fair to mention that we came in with vouchers entitling us to a sizeable amount of complimentary food but apparently the management had since changed and the new staff had not been informed to honour any such vouchers. However, after repeated requests on our part and making a few calls on theirs, they became very accommodative, honoured our vouchers and did not disappoint us at all with their food and service.<br/><br/>It was a great place to introduce myself to authentic Mexican food and I won't be surprise if I choose to revisit. Would recommend.<br/><br/>

A great rooftop cafe spread over two floors. This place has good food and superb music. Plus in your bar scenes there is a small library with great collection. Overall this place has it all. <br/>Now coming to the food its a great cuisine but might not carter to everyone. The drinks are put out on great display and seeing the tacos and salads you surely will feel it to be authentic.<br/>What really caught me off guard was the bill. There was quite some difference from the prices stated in the menu to what was in the actual bill. This place has good ambience and it's located in a nice place too! Pretty much like a rooftop café. But only problem we faced was budget! This wasn't pocket friendly at all. The prices were too high, but the food was very delicious! Their pasta was amazing!

Not everyday I get to meet my friend in Bangalore, India; but when we did meet, we have to talk a lot! literally a lot!! so much energy is needed that we cannot do it without food 😉. The “Heat” in New Bel Road was were in ended up. The restaurant is huge and spread over two floors. But considering the size of their place, the parking is a problem Big Time!

Visited the place for dinner. The ambience is decent. Lot of options for Vegetarians. Infact the menu specifically mentioned that they are vegetarian friendly. The service was very slow, had to wait for almost 30 mins for the food to be served, even though the place was almost empty. We had ordered some veg starters, but to our horror, one the dishes had chicken in it!<br/><br/>When we asked the waiter to check it, she confidently conformed that the dish was indeed veg. But some how we were not convinced and asked for the manager, who finally accepted his mistake.<br/><br/>So had a pretty bad experience overall. Don't think we'll be visiting ever again!

Visited this place during the day & they weren't serving much. Trust me this place is lovely, has a beautiful setup. I'm pretty sure this place will look nice at night ! It's a must visit for food & drinks ! <br/>

Visited on 1jan for dinner.The place was empty and we were accomodated without any prior reservation. We waited for 10 minutes and nobody came to take our orders, finally we searched for the waiter and asked him to take our order. The starters arrived on time. The quantity of the chips could improve in the chips and 5 salsa combo. The cheese french fries was good and filling. After that we waited 15 mins to place our main course order and waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Everytime we enquired the waiter told us "2 minutes, it's getting ready". We were losing our patience as the service was horrible. Finally the food arrived and it was good. <br/>Everything came late except the bill!! The service could've been better. Plan for visit if you have lots of time and patience.

Went here for lunch and tried the classic beans and cheese tacos and the wild mushroom quesilladas. The former was decent but the latter was easily better. <br/><br/>So far, I am not sure how much I like Mexican food. I still have not tried enough to know for sure. So for the time being, I will reserve ultimate judgment and leave it at "not too bad, requires further inspection". And Heat seems like a decent place to try out good Mexican. <br/><br/>The food took its time coming to the table, almost half an hour and it was keenly felt because we were very hungry. Perhaps it was a one-off so I don't want to be too critical.

The Mexican place on New BEL road has a uber cool interior with Aztec motif and beautiful color scheme. The place always had a quite high rating but I got a little disappointed in some aspects. Starting with the service person. I do believe he was a very good and energetic man but we had hard time understanding each other regarding our food order. The entire quesadilla section was unavailable and tortilla in fajita platter is replaced with fine grained rice. The mock-tails are in majority very sweet. The foods are in general quite good though. Habanero chicken wings in appetizer is delicious but I was expecting more heat from it. Potato skin is soggy and burnt at the same time so not good. In main course wild mushroom fajita is one good dish with perfect smokey flavor. Pan seared cilantro fish is also tasty dish. Pulled lamb enchiladas is the best among all, tender lamb wrapped in corn tortillas and baked in cheese and sauce is simply superb. In desert sizzling browny with chili chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream is yum but I didn't get any hint of chili. Caramel flan with orange zest is a complete disaster as the perfectly cooked custard is entirely ruined by the extremely bitter orange zest infused caramel. All the food served with assorted dips platter including guac, salsa, cheese, sour cream and chilli beans which is pretty good. Overall good but have place for improvement.

A beautiful place on new bel road with a cute rooftop and live screening. A perfect place for catching up with friends with great music, rooftop, lip smacking food and time this is the place for you. <br/>Not so crowded, this place also serves hukka and drinks. Havent tried any of those. I was here with a bunch of friends. The menu is vast with great options to choose from. <br/>We ordered chicken wings in habanero sauce and cheese fries. The quantity is good enough for the price and taste is just yummy. <br/>We then ordered lamb burritos, cottage cheese fajitas, chicken breasts with onion and mushrooms. The main course was lip smacking and filling too. <br/>We ordered all varieties of cheesecaks in the menu and totally loved the taste. The chunky chocolate shake is a must try here. Because of dim lights, couldn't click pictures that much. <br/>Service is good and staff is helpful. Overall an awesome experience.

We were seated on the rooftop and even though it was a Saturday evening, the place wasn't crowded. I had LIIT and wow....it was really really good. As far as food goes, we had the chicken wings and prawns quesadilla. Both were good. Service too was good. The best thing about the waiter was that he didn't go on hovering around the table and only responded when we needed him.

Drove from south bangalore to try this highly rated Mexican restaurant. Easy to find , just a stone's throw away from MS ramaiah college.<br/><br/>If you have eaten decent Mexican or texmex just reset your expectations before setting foot.<br/><br/>Chips and salsa - a single handful of canned,reheated nachos with 5 pickle sized sides sampler! So ordered extra nachos. 7 canned re-heated chips for Rs.50 and 14 for Rs.100 plus tax!!! . Reheating had taken a toll and burnt many chips. But did they care ?? No :(<br/>None of the sides had any taste or flavour whatsoever. Got some mayonnaise ! and finished up the chips.<br/><br/>Cottage cheese fajitas - All contents in the sizzler plate were bone dry and getting burnt. No sauce or grease to enliven up the sizzler. Should we talk about the sides again ???(*^/ . But I must admit this one was better than the nachos.<br/><br/>Service : Tissue holder is not present and so the tissues. Serving staff has no clue of handling casual dining. Our poor waiter could not make sense of half of the simple requests or instructions. I called over the so called manager on duty and explained all this first hand.<br/><br/>Utterly disappointed is an understatement to explain this dining experience.<br/><br/>1) Can a Mexican joint not make fresh nachos ??? I have been to this place 4-5 times now as it is very near to my college (almost every weekend towards the end of the session for lunch) one time for dinner (my birthday) and on last evening with my best buddies before I left for Jaipur, had an amazing experience. Located close to ms ramaiah hospital ..usually filled with young student group.... happened to be thre on Saturday night .. to my surprise it was not so crowded or no table reservations as most of other places ... it was a very cold ambience ... nothin much to mention of it .. except for the live football match screening .. a table lamp kinda setting .. but must mention seating on rooftop is preferred ...<br/>De main part of de place is de good quality food .. we ordered the different starters ranging from chicken, pork belly n mocktails.. was not too impressed with drinks but food quality n taste was par with other place n the pricing is reasonable ... definetly worth a visit if u around .. but not a place to come bk another time wen u have lots of similar ones with Better variety n ambience n hospitality ... which was lacking ... !!!

After hearing a lot about this place numerous times, I finally got the chance to visit this place. Initial impressions, ambience, food etc was good and up to the standards I expected. Service too seemed swift and good enough only to be extremely disappointed through the evening as we spent some time here. Service and the people involved seemed to have absolutely no clue what was going on and each one was just pointing to his colleagues when asked for something. The restrooms had ran out of water supply, okay I get it, things break down from time to time. But when brought to the notice of the management, I did not see any effort from their to provide an alternative and the response was a simple "OK", which at one point really felt like they didn't care. The tables on the outside have no covering on the sides when it rains. When they could canopy the area, not sure why no screens are put in place for such an instance. We changed the tables twice, thanks to the already existing chaos. From what I can vaguely remember, close to 4 people attended my table, which later became obvious there was a huge communication gap where orders were taken but not placed, delaying the service. The management really needs to streamline their service folks and get some standards in place. What could have been an easy & minimum 4.5 rating, gets a 3 entirely because of lax of people skills.

I had visited this place once. But that one time made an immense effect in my mind. Ambience is great. As the name suggests, food is mexican. And it is good. A bit pricey. <br/>All in all this is a fine place to dine.

A great place for a quiet evening. I have tried Grilled Cottage Cheese Fajita, Crispy Tacos, California Burrito and kiwi margarita. Kiwi margarita is super-delicious. The ambience is pleasant and it is spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Sadly, the portions are small.

This is a brilliant place to relax and have a conversation as they don't blast music at such a high level where a conversation is not possible. <br/><br/>A variety of dishes are available for both sets! <br/>The fiery chicken wings are brilliant and my non veg counterparts praised the size of the wings. <br/>Veg enchiladas are brilliant. <br/><br/>Do not try the mocktails as they are mere experiments and taste confusing. <br/><br/>The fish that was served as main course was well cooked and tasted excellent! <br/><br/>Happy with heat.

So when I see food with 5 chilli's next to it, I expect it to be very very very spicy ! This was one of the most disappointing things here, it wasn't spicy enough to make me even drink a whole glass of water. <br/><br/>Recommended items:<br/><br/>a) Super Nachos: A huge plate of nachos with salsa and cheese, I loved how they presented it, and the taste was also good.<br/>b) Chicken wings: You can choose the level of spiciness you want with it ( we went with el diablo, the most spicy one) and the wings are tasty, just not as spicy.<br/>c) Prawn Tacos: These are you average run of the mill Tacos, but the prawns really uplift the taste <br/>d) El Pollo Loco: A very famous Mexican chain out west, this classic offering has roast chicken, beans and rice. It was looking so good I didn't want to eat it ! However, the taste was quite average.<br/><br/>Should you go here ? If you are looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine, with lot of variety and sizable portions but not that great of a taste, then yes !

I had been to The Heat with my sister for a celebratory lunch the day her exams got over. We picked the place after seeing the ratings and good reviews on zomato. However I don't get how this place could have got such high ratings. The only reason I'm rating it a 1.5 instead of the minimum 1 is because the ambience wasn't so bad. But that is where the good stuff ends. The service was horrible. We had to wait forever for our dishes to get to the table. The food wasn't upto the mark. And the bill was seriously over the top. And our stomachs started revolting on our way back home. The minute we got back home we ended up puking our guts out and spending the next 2 days in bed with a serious stomach infection. It felt like we paid that much just to get sick. Right now even the thought of Mexican food makes my stomach clench revoltingly and I was a serious Mexican food lover before. I seriously had very high hopes for this place and they have all been rudely squashed. I'm definitely never going to The Heat again.

Believe it or not, this place has been on my bucket list for over 2 years! Finally, after an exhausting food-less trip to Devarayana Durga, a bunch of us happened to pass via BEL Road and my 2 year finally came to an end!<br/><br/>We were extremely hungry, and as usual, I monopolised the order. We (I) ordered<br/><br/>Cheesy Potato Skins – Literally just cheese on baked potato. No other flavour. Chewy texture. Avoid.<br/><br/>Chips and Salsa Platter – The waiter said we could choose the salsas but ended up getting us the standard ones despite taking our orders. The pineapple one is worth a mention. The others are the usual. The nachos itself is pretty good.<br/><br/>Super Nachos – Good. Hard to screw this up. Just your standard loaded nachos that you might get in any bistro worth their salt.<br/><br/>Spicy Santa Fe Rolls – The only flavour we could get was that of semi boiled spinach. Avoid.<br/><br/>Taquitas – These were probably the only passable dish. The flavours of the soyrizo were good. Not much corn or jalapenos in the dish, though it says so in the dish<br/><br/>The classic Jalapeno & Cheese quesadilla – Chewy cheese wrapped in maida phulka is the only description I can give you for this.<br/><br/>Spicy chocolate drink – Nothing to write home about. It’s okayish.<br/><br/>Chocolate milkshake – Pass. Hershey’s syrup in milk methinks.<br/><br/>Mango based mocktail – Fairly refreshing. Not too bad. Mango syrup with mint.<br/><br/>Mozarella sticks – Fried crumbed cheese. If you like ’em, you’ll like ’em.<br/><br/>Jalapeno and cheese bites – same as above.<br/><br/>All in all, a very disappointing experience. The worst part was, when I told them the quesadilla is over-cheesy and doesn’t give out any other flavour, they say “Yes ma’am, there’s cheese in it. The quesadilla has cheese.” Because, oh really? I didn’t know it had cheese. Cuz I read through all the options to order a jalapeno and cheese quesadilla, but did not read that there’s cheese in it!?!<br/><br/>Please understand that having an ingredient in a dish, and the ingredient overpowering the whole dish – NOT the same. Would you eat something that tasted like half cooked spinach because one of the ingredients is spinach?<br/><br/>The ambience however is very well done – the wooden furnishing, bookshelves with good choice of reads, comfy couches, random Mexican articles – all good. It’s a great place to hangout.<br/><br/>The verdict – If you live in the area and want some place to chill out, read a little, relax, then yes, do try it out. Pretty decent place !! Been here with sweet friend on mine (by far the best cab mate one could ask for.. 😉) the rooftop had a relaxing ambiance...the food tastes good... The ambience is great... The food ok and the service really pathetic. Waiters are just confused bunch of people. The food and drinks arrive at different times when either of them is finished on the table.

Well, the place actually promises much on the advertements and menus you will see on websites. But does not make justice to the hype. <br/><br/>The ambience is great for a mexican place with matching walls and a nice balcony for sitting. <br/><br/>But the food disappoints the most here. There is nothing on the Menu which can go over the top and please you best possible. The portions are smaller for the cost they charge and service is just fine. <br/><br/>Overall, as I said earlier it does match the hype around it.

A pretty cool place on BEL road. Service is open on 3 floors. Each one has a balcony for those who want to smoke perhaps. They also have service on their roof-top. <br/> Spicy santafe roll was not exactly a roll but more like quesadilla. But was tasty nevertheless. Chilly cheese fries was next up, would have liked it to be more cheesy. Cheese was dry and little hard. Maybe they should change the cheese they use. We ended our dinner with fajita cottage cheese enchiladas. Staff were courteous as well!!

The worst service ever and the main course is absolute rubbish when compared to the neighboring places. If you're looking to have a good satisfactory meal then do not go here.

last full moon , a tuesday , when the bangalore skies were glorious with monsoon clouds we three woman landed on the 5th floor ( the terrace on the fourth floor ) when the twilight light was fading , and saw hoardes of fruit bats fly over head as a pale moon rose ..., three witches in magic land? <br/><br/>we were too hypnotised by it all , when the waiter told us that it was ladies night - and we could drink all that we want - even for witches too good to be true ...it was almost true. after much conflusion and clarification and reclarification we were told we could get three drinks each free - domestic beer or cocktails <br/><br/>mojitoes were ordered and followed by beer - chandini was off drinking alcohol so actually shalini and i could not even finish the 9 drinks that we could order - no no not that capacities had dwindled , just that there were house guest ( uncle aunt and sick cousin at that ) <br/><br/>the food was truly yummy - guacamole was fresh, tacos crispy, bean well cooked, salsa real , sour cream just right .....<br/><br/>we ordered salad and a main course and super nachos ...and were well fed...<br/>wow one of those magical evenng

I was here for very little time. However in that time I tried fajita which was amazing and the hazelnut and mocha frappe which was absolutely delicious. Located in New BEL Road, this is undoubtedly one of the best Mexican Restaurant in Bangalore. This place is easy to locate as it is a Multi-Storey Structure situated on the Main Road. <br/>We ordered the make-your-own burrito which was large and perfectly sufficient for a person.<br/><br/>We ordered the Red Wine Sangria which was very good.<br/><br/>I would definitely recommend this place to others.

The picture is of the grilled orange chicken in a cheese and onion sauce served with some cilantro lime rice, beans, salsa and sour cream at The Heat. <br/><br/>It serves delicious TexMex food (not mexican) in a great ambience and the menu is quite pocket-friendly.<br/><br/>It does not have an over-the-top menu so the chefs are able to deliver the promises the menu makes and that is something definitely worth returning for.

The rest of meal you could choose from their filling laden Tacos to their uniquely styled Sandwiches, their Nuevo Latin cuisine and their colourful enchiladas to their mouth watering fajitas or my absolute favorites the Burritos (The new Bel Road Burrito is an absolute beauty).<br/>With a newly introduced bar, they nwow serve cervezas, whiskey, beautiful Virgin Margaritas and distinct mocktails that add just about the right amount of tang to their sumptuous culinary genius.<br/><br/>And to my all fellow Dessert Lovers ( :P ), the Sizzling Brownie and the street Style Churros are pure love. Really spicy, really cheesey, authentic Mexican food! Its a quite little cafe with terrace as well as indoor seating! Full bar available. The staff is friendly.. Service however, is on the slower side! But the taste of the food definitely makes up for it!

This place is commendable be it location, ambiance or service! I went here on a small lunch mertup with a friend, the restro has two floors with open and indoor both type of sitting arrangemnts. The food is palatable, tummy filling and with proper italian authentic taste. Churros were just perfect, crispy and yummy. Loved this place must visit again🙂

Good ambience, good service.<br/>The salad are just overloaded with lettuce so there's a dissapointment but this apart, the food is good. The portions are well compensating the price we pay.<br/>We had Nacho fries-decent, Grilled Orange Chipotle chicken quesadilla- Good, but didn't get any hint of orange, Lava stone chicken.<br/>They have a nice menu, that I'm interested in trying more of. I recommend.

The heat came as a relief to people in the midst of restaurants offering Chinese, continental and European cuisine by offering Mexican food.<br/>The name is synonymous with the experience that we had here. <br/>Mexican cuisine in a lot of aspects is like Indian cuisine considering the ingredients and technique used. <br/>Indians will surely like the taste, balance of spice and quantity of the food.<br/>A few people might find this place heavy on their pockets.<br/>The staff has some comprehension issues due to which I am rating it half a point less.

Beauty on the BEL Road. Nice tree side sitting area in the balcony, delicious food, some nice drinks, well-mannered staff and books to read. Beautiful place, it's more than a restaurant. <br/>However, the highlight was the food and service that was amazing! We needed a good break from regular buffet, barbecue stuff and this fitted in perfectly. The mock tails were good and House wine (Red) with apple and orange pieces was amazing! I could not resist from going for another one.<br/>The food did not disappoint. Nice Mexican flavors in fiery chicken wings, super Nachos and Pizza for appetizers and Burrito and Taco for main course. The Spanish music in the background created a pleasant environment to savor the food.

The best place if you are a Mexican lover. We were just two of us and were really hungry, ofcourse we ordered nachos, chicken wings, quesadilla, burrito and churros. Nachos weren't anything than usual. However I loved the chicken wings, it tasted so good. The quesadillas were cheesy and yummy. The burrito here was the best ever and the churros were hot and just perfectly done. Will come here again and again.

Went there about a year ago and the veg quesadillas were to die for. The veg fajita was alright, no oomph factor but no complaints either. Went there again week before last. The quesadilla was terrible. It is the simplest possible mexican dish. It was bland and the cheese quickly became chewy. The stuffing/filling was tasting of ketchup and I spoke to the chef about this. Who uses ketchup in mexican food? The guacamole was not well seasoned and the pico do guillo had ketchup too. I thought it was an average place last year and now, I just wont go back. The ambience is great but that alone, is not worth a trip.

Went here for lunch . For starters we ordered mozerella cheese sticks and super chicken nachos. I loved the nachos, even though we ordered half a plate the quantity was good. The cheese sticks were pretty average . We then ordered grilled garlic prawn fajitas & grilled chicken in onion and mushroom sauce. I loved the fajitas( they serve 4) and it is worth the price. For desert we ordered churros and warm chocolate pudding. The churros were very tasty but the chocolate pudding was average. The total bill came to 1680 ( we got a 10% discount for booking through Eazydiner). The ambience is good and so is the service

I was here for very little time. However in that time I tried fajita which was amazing and the hazelnut and mocha frappe which was absolutely delicious. Will be going soon to try rest of the stuff.

One of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything from the starters to the dessert was awesome. Ambience of the place was decent, the staff was courteous and the service was good. <br/>We ordered quesadillas, 'make your own' enchiladas, brownie shake, street style churros and chilli brownie sizzler. Everything was perfectly made.<br/>Would love to visit again.

Food, service and ambience were all very good.<br/>"Make your Own" section was very tasty and had a good variety of things in it, desserts were awesome (we had one brownie chilly sizzler and churros).<br/>A must place to go if you love Mexican food :)

Average Food for Vegetarians <br/><br/>With very limited option for veg food, this joint in the crowded New BEL Road is one of the most average places in the area. Portions are decent, taste is average though ambience is good.

Good filling, rightly toasted tortilla and just perfect <br/>The fajitas are good, the accompaniments are good, but the quantity of the accompaniments is less.<br/>The burrito was the big miss of the evening for me, it's oversized, leaky and lacks flavour overall.<br/>The churros are perfect, crispy on the outside yet, soft on the inside, big yes for me. The dipping sauce(chocolate) along with it is a complete disaster, it's watery, too sweet, and lacks the depth of. Flavour that a chocolate sauce should have and this spoils the overall dish.<br/>The ambience is brilliant you can choose between open air and indoor dining, we opted for the indoor one, it's nice, there are lots of books to read from, there are some interesting looking articles as well, they play Latino-Spanish music in the background, which adds to the overall experience of eating there.<br/>The service is pretty good, the servers are helpful and they know the menu well.<br/>The prices is fair at par with other restaurants in this bracket.

I wonder how they have got such high rating?! <br/>My main reason for choosing this place was seeing the good rating in zomato. <br/>I expected to have some good amount of crowd and great choices but ended up as the only customer for the time when I visited on a Saturday evenings. <br/>The staff tried to overwhelm us by giving out of the menu options. But regarding the taste of food I just felt OK OK.... <br/><br/>We tried which was nice experience of making our own rolls with tortilla chicken stripes and other ingredients served on table.<br/>The mocktail as they said was their thickest one with lot of cream as they said but was just another OK category. <br/>The dessert was fried ice-cream which was really nice. Didn't seem to have fried recently. But tasted nice.<br/>Over all the service is good, ambiance is also fine.<br/>The taste of food have to be improved.

The ambience of this place is great. The food can improve a lot. After trying all the dishes, at the end, ironically, we all liked the fries 😝 also do try the cheesecake.

Very good place. One of the best Mexican food places.<br/>The menu is big and varied. We ordered, Tacos, Quesadilla and burrito. All of em were really good.<br/>Nachos was excellent with toppings.<br/>If you love Mexican food you have to visit this place.<br/>Place is decent sized, not too big , not small either.<br/>They have a bar as well.<br/>

Really good mexican food, they have lot of options for vegeterians too. Starters are the best of all. Cocktails are quite different so be careful while choosing many have chillis added

Have visited this place a couple of times now and must say, I loved the food here. Of all the Mexican places, none I have found as good as The Heat. Actually, The Heat is the reason I started liking Mexican cuisine. Along with the food being great, the place is beautiful. The ambience is quite good. One thing I loved was how they put candles at each table, it just looked dazzling. Surely recommend this place, delicious and paisa wasool.
