Review The White Room - Bengaluru

The pace is pristine and the ambiance is quaint and nice. Service is also good here. We ordered: • Chicken Milano - would recommend as starters option. • Chicken Cordon blue - good portion size and filling. • Ratatouille and rice- honestly I was expecting the OG Ratatouille dish when we ordered this but this had a lot of gravy. It was good but we imagined it to something else. • Cremè brûlée - again good portion size, subtle sweetness. Overall a very aesthetic place with good food but the pocket pinch is more.

A little isolated place which have a charming terrace. Very well decorated. They have continental dishes such as pesto pasta (not enough basil and too oily though).

Visited this cute cafe after years and it’s just how I remember it. Every dish we ordered was amazing. Loxley, the manager of this place is the kindest person. He made sure to make this a very pleasant experience.

Best cafe in Bangalore for amazing English breakfast options and absolutely pretty ambiance. Do try their waffles and pancakes. Highly recommended.

Located on Church Street, next to Mandarin Box, two building to the right of Mainland China. Finding the place would be a little difficult. Good Ambience and Good Crowd. Looks beautiful during the day with lush greenery if you prefer to sit near the lawn. The service is okay. You will have to wait for the staff to attend you after multiple ask. The dishes served is little late depending on the crowd. The dishes are good. The desserts are good. Priced a little more for the quality and quantity. But you should take into consideration of the location. You might feel the pinch for the quantity of food given and the price charged. Its a great silent place to hangout with friends and family. No loud music or traffic noise. Would recommend people to visit once.

The White Room, true to its name, has a white themed ambience. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. It's a relatively peaceful place with music (not too loud). The service is pretty fast and the staff is polite. The chicken quiche served here was quite nice, albeit a bit sour, as was the cheesecake with blueberry and gooey brownie with ice cream. The prices for the ambience and food offered are moderate.

Food was pretty good but all the dishes were a bit costly apart from the frappe and afogato. The staff were very humble and ambiance is nice and aesthetic.

It was Sunday and had planned for dinner at this place with my friend. Have found out this place over Zomato.  Have booked a table through Zomato and got a quicker confirmation. Soon i reach the place, got my table. The ambience was pretty good well interior, well cleaned and well maintained too. Coming to the food, had ordered Mushroom creamy soup, Chicken wraps in starter and coming to the main course have ordered Country-style roast chicken with rosemary and garlic, chicken stroganoff. Presentation of all the dishes were pretty good and served with perfect temperature. Coming to the taste, all were pretty good. Wanted to have Lamb and tea, but it wasn't available. Behaviors of staffs were polite and were attentive towards us. Efficiency of service was good. Had a nice time and would love to visit this place again. Here's my drill down review. Felt like a French setup. It was cute and cozy. Tried corriander chicken and chicken lasgna which was good. Dessert had creme brule which was different

This place is very peaceful and has got amazing setup. The food is pretty descent and chicken is brilliant and delicious here. We ordered Chicken Breast in mushroom sauce which is something we really enjoyed. A very calm and cheerful place to chit chat with your loved ones over food and coffee.

Very nice ambience. Ideal place for someone who likes continental food a lot. Soothing ambience with good coffee. Menu is very limited. Restaurant should work towards adding more items to the menu. Though the menu is limited, whatever is available in the menu is very good.

The Blueberry Cheesecake is too die for, absolutely delicious. Tbh, one of the best I’ve had. You’ve got to try it.

Amazing and classy ambience. They’ve really professional and concerned staff members. Beauty lit place. It’s a place would even go to for the sake of just a coffee with some light music. And talking about the food here, the chicken stroganoff and the chicken breast with mushroom sauce and herbed rice is something I would suggest one to have. Overall, great place.

Great ambience and amazing food. The prices were really worth it. The only negative would be that the staff wasnt as well trained and at times couldn't describe a dish.

A perfect go to place in the evenings with your friends or bae. Perfect when there is cold and light breeze. This place is affordable as well. My all time favorite is the panna Cotta, this comes with a different fresh fruit every time. Apart from this I love the sliders, chicken roast and lot more desserts

This is a complaint against a server called Hussain at the White Room. After I had my food in the afternoon. The man came with a bill and a machine. He took out some paper from the machine and held it in his hand and said " give me the card". I said "Don't use my card with a crushed paper in your hand".  He sulked and said, "it is just an old paper. What is your problem?" I told him to throw the paper in the dustbin first as that is not professional. He looked at me in an intimidating manner and said "What!" I repeated my request. He mocked at me first and then grunted and put the paper in his pocket and said "Ok, now give me that card". I told him that he was downright rude and he said repulsed, "Ok Ok". The bill was processed and the payment was made. I went to the hotel inside to complain against him at the lobby. The gentleman in the lobby heard my complaint. I told him that he refused to throw the paper. He wanted to use my card with the paper that he had crushed. I wanted him to put that away and not hold my card with that torn paper and how he mocked at me. As I was narrating this incident, this man Hussain entered and looked at us and grinned. He interrupted. I told him not to interrupt as I was narrating it. The gentleman in the reception told him that he ought not to talk in such an inappropriate manner. Hussain sneered at us and hurled an  abuse from a distance and left the place. The person in the lobby assured me that immediate action will be taken as this is a serious conduct problem. He also told me that the man who misbehaved was Hussain. Please take immediate action. He even hurled abuse and sneered. To the owner. Please sack this man.

The ambience is awesome however that remains the only high point of the place. Visited on a Valentine's day evening, the service was painfully slow and the food was mediocre. With the space and ambience the restaurant has at their disposal, one expects a bit more

The food and service both were pathetic. We went there for Valentine's day and they spoiled everything, I mean everything. We were sitting outside so because the mosquitoes were troubling we asked for a repellent and they said they will get it. But it never came. We ordered 2 cafe frappes but got us 1 chocolate shake. HORRIBLE.<br/>We also ordered roasted chicken sandwich and Hummus and pita bread. Chicken was chewy and wedges served with that was undercooked. Pita bread was also undercooked. Again HORRIBLE.<br/>Then when we call the senior guy he gives us the excuse that the staff is new that's why everything is like this. The White Room is one of the three hotels opened side by side in the same premise in the busy Church Street. <br/><br/>The entire room is painted white and decorated tastefully. But you would get a weird smell when you enter it from outside. Might be the AC smell.<br/><br/>Coming back to food, it's good. They serve mostly American style food and we opted for a juicy Lamb burger and a Penne Arabiata. Both were well presented, cooked to perfection and delicious. <br/><br/>[I wanted to give 3.5 because of the smell but sadly there is no option for that]

I ordered the beef steak from here and it was just really good for its price and it was really filling. The other thing I really liked about this place is their beautiful ambiance.

Went to this place while we were in church street and had a good time. Visited in the evening and ordered Club sandwich and chicken breast with mushroom sauce. The chicken was great with a good portion size but were a lil disappointed with the sandwich. Though Zomato gold works which is a great help. Nice ambience too will try n visit again!!!

Their oreo shake also had an interesting texture to it, which was quite enjoyable.

It’s a beautiful white room for sure, great as cafe – in terms of location, ambiance, beverages and service. In my two visits here with a gap of 2 years (last visit in December 2019), found these consistent. Even the menu seems to be same or almost same (teas are recommended, desserts are not). The first time around we did not sit “inside” the white room as it was crowded on a weekend. Second time again we did not sit inside the room as it was empty on a weekday and pretty dull. The outside is nice enough thanks to Bangalore weather. <br/><br/>It’s one of the few pleasant and quieter options on Church Street for tea on a chilly Bangalore evening.

I went to this place on the Christmas day. Lovely ambiance, 5 on 5 for that. Lights, greenery, coziness everything just made it perfect. Moreover the location. It's in Church street. I have ordered a cafe latte, Roast chicken open faced sandwich (they serve potato wedges with it), and a blueberry cheesecake. I loved the food. Things I want them to improve- they add 10% service charge, which I think is very high, and in the menu card it's written that service charge will be applicable, the percentage is not mentioned, secondly the tea they serve is dip tea, they don't make it, probably they can make the typical Indian ginger tea, masala tea rather than using dip tea bags, lastly they serve waffles and pancakes in breakfast, I think in the afternoon also these should be served.

This dish was extremely bad. The fried eggs tasted weird. I don't know if it was the rice or the guacamole, one of it was badly stale. Suffered from food poisoning for 3-4 days only because of this dish.

It's a coffee and tea house where u expect a brewed tea not a tea bag dipped tea for 80rs. While the ambiance was good, I didn't like the tea bag tea.

This place is absolutely RUBBISH! You won't believe it, last Sunday morning we headed here for breakfast and the northeast serving staff were drunk and could barely understand our orders and requests.<br/>If you cannot run a restaurant, don't open it and get it fake stars and reviews. Also being a breakfast serving place, you NEED to have your coffee machine working at all times!<br/><br/>This was pathetic, third class service.

The restaurant forced me to pay service charge even though it is optional as per the law. They are breaking the law and cheating the customers.

1) Mushroom kissers were scrumptious - 9/10<br/>2) Chocolate mousse was a 7/10. A base of some sort like dark chocolate or brownie would make it a 10.<br/>3) Cheesecake with blueberries is the best I have had in Bangalore, hands down 10 on 10 😋<br/>4) The white sauce (Alfredo) doesn't look appealing however it tasted delicious.<br/>5) Service on the other hand is a 4/10, the place is under recruited. Staff can add a smile on their face as well :)

The place from outside looks quite good but when you come nearer you realize that tables remain untidy, dirty.<br/>You have to call the staff to clean the table for you.<br/><br/>After the above fiasco, after your orders have been placed, they bring the main course first and the starters much later.<br/>We had to remind them for the same.<br/>No waters were served during our one hour visit. Only after bill was paid and when you ask the staff for waiter for 4-5 times they will bring water with unclean glass.<br/><br/>There was some kind of weird smell in the water provided when I visited last time.<br/><br/>To add salt to your wound they charge service charge for no apparent service at all.

I ordered an Arabiata pasta, it was really nice and had a great flavour. The gooey chocolate brownie is what I ordered for dessert, which tasted amazing. The ambience here was very calm and pleasant. The prices are a little expensive, unless you avail your Zomato Gold. Would definitely visit again.👍

This place was on my list since the day I visited Roomali beside it. The ambience is excellent here but cramped space.<br/><br/>Food I ordered was Ratatouille and Strawberry milkshake. Must visit though if you are in Church Street and looking for a nice space to relax.

Very pretty and calm ambience! Had an amazing sunday breakfast here!

We ordered a Veg Lasagna and a Mushroom Steak. The steak was okay but the lasagna was clearly pulled out of the refrigerator and heated in an oven and served. It was still freezing cold on the inside and was served in literally 5mins after we ordered it. We sent it back and they asked us to pick the vehicle quiche which we did. The quiche was even worse and even the rice had a funny taste. In fact the quiche gave me food poisoning later that day.

Honestly, it is the best English breakfast I have ever had in Bangalore. I had vanilla and cinnamon french toast which was melting in my mouth, pancakes were perfectly sublte sweetness , scrambled egg tasted like a fluff of cloud. The ambiance of this place is very classy and gives you calm vibes. The prices are very reasonable and now this place has my heart! Definitely 10/10 and a must visit for English breakfast lovers in Bangalore ❤️

Located in a very posh surrounding, the ambience feels very good. Coming to staff service, they are extremely irresponsible and discourteous. Right from the allocation of the table to taking the orders, they are least interested. I had to walk up to them to ask them to take the order, after which they turned up with a grumpy attitude. Totally disappointed. Food is okay, pasta especially. Price is towards the higher side.

Looking for a good brunch on a lazy Sunday morning, this could be your option here-<br/><br/>This place is on Church Street, a little difficult to locate, as it is in the back end of another restaurant. This is a garden restaurant with a very good ambiance and crowd for a Sunday Brunch. The prices are affordable and aren't very expensive. The service is a little slow, but it should go well if it is a lazy morning.<br/><br/>We ordered a Spinach and mushroom quiche & a Ratatouille with herbed rice, both of them are good. We found it to be pretty filling and Ratatouille with herbed rice was little bland for our Indian tongues. We had a chocolate milkshake to make our sunday lighter and added a crem brulee too have a happy week.

Food is great, service is fast but the staff is a little laid back and very difficult to get noticed by them if you want to make a repeat order.<br/><br/>Ordered cheese omlette, waffles and French toast with chocolate and strawberry milkshake. I loved this place when I visited a year back. Food and ambience was good. I introduced many of my friends to this place since then. But in last 3months I visited this place quite a few times and felt very disappointed with the food (taste, quality and quantity)😢

This place is making money just because of its ambience but let me tell you something, music is part of ambience and their music is horrible. Believe me when I say it, it's untolerable. And food is average too. Nothing so great about this place. Staff is as ignorant as they can be ( I feel it personally that whenever these restaurants get to know that you have zomato gold, their hospitality goes down the drain, and it should be other way around). So don't let the ratings decieve you, if you're out just for coffee this can be an option but if not, then don't go.

This place being in such a great location was a pleasant surprise when visited. The best thing about this place was the amazing ambience. Sitting out is the best option and the place needs to have more staff. The food is decent and is worthy enough to have another visit.
