Located in the CBD of Bangalore and on the 6th floor of The Pride hotel, the place is done to perfection with the ambience done just upright to give a feel of a rustic Dhaba. The place has a full fledged bar and the bartender miserably fails in whipping up Cocktails or Mocktails too. The Service is pathetic and the servers seem too lost. Training them may help them to serve better. The Cocktails tried were- • Paan Ki Dukaan -best avoid • Mango Martini-Sad The Starters • Gosht Galouti- best avoid • Makhmali Murgh Tikka- Too good • Achari Fish Tikka-Loved it • Paneer Tikka-too rubbery and bland Main course • Butter Kulcha-Superb.Served hot • Subz Kofta Curry - tasty with the right spices. Please try. • Amristari Fish Masala- Fish at its best. Too good. • Gosht Dum Biryani - average Desserts • Gulab Jamun-soft and perfect in sweetness • Ghajar ki Halwa-done to perfection Valet parking available Evening for 2 would cost around Rs 1200-1500/- My Ratings • Food-3.5/5 • Service-3.5/5 • Ambience-5/5 • Value for Money-4/5

The place "Pride Hotel Bangalore" is the awesomely amazing and impressive, coz it offers world class service, mouth melting food, business oriented facilities, social occasions venue, refreshingly best spa, ethnic North Indian and South indian cuisine, round the clock dinning options at the best price in town, which brings memory back to ...

Awesome place with Live Hindi Music. Veg starters were really tasty but main course was not that great. Must try this place once.

Good place. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Singers put their efforts . They are really good at singing but not for all songs they will sing , so it's ok ok. But will not regret visiting this place.
RAJAT DUBEY
Nice place for dine with family and friends, gazal is like cherry on the cake, excellent Punjabi food with panjabi theme.

Went to this place last night with relatively low expectations. Didnt feel like venturing into the crowded MG road, Koramangala type areas on a saturday night. Pride is an old chain so went there as its on main road and has valet. The rooftop restaurant reminded me of dhaba experience on Chandigarh highway in a luxurious setting, wonderful view and super friendly staff. We ordered ala carte and the staff customized our dishes too. Its not gourmet but kababs were excellent. Had a very relaxing evening without people falling all over you. Highly recommeded if if you like the quiet north indian experience.
Omkara Murthy
Nice Theme Of Dhaba and food was amazing nice Service for Kids nice place to spend.

This roof top restaurant is excellent. We ate here because we were tired and staying in the hotel bit wow what a meal. There are great views from the restaurant and the staff were brilliant. The selection and quality of food on the buffet were amazing. The variety meant it was possible to experience a huge amount of Indian cuisine in one meal.

Spacious, warm and well decorated eating joint for foodies. The crew are well behaved and serve you with an "extra smile". The ambiance is nice and relaxed; however the food choices need to be increased. Our choices were tasty and filling. As it is off the main road by about 100m, it saves you from the trouble of loud honks of the traffic.

Great place to go with your family.. perfect for Bangalore climate. Staffs are very friendly and supportive. Live music complement the overall feel. Loved the Afghan chicken kebab.
Jitendra Kumar
First thing first, food is good. But, Gazal Gayaki is excellent. The food itself becomes a side dish in comparison. One can request/dedicate a song of his choice too. Airy (may get cold for children at nights during winter, jackets are suggested) ambience... Courteous staff. In one sentence... I loved it. Will definitely visit again.

Some glimpses from the ongoing '“Grand Trunk Road” food festival at Puran Da Dhaba, at the Pride Hotel! The best of culinary expressions at display from different parts of Indian Sub-Continent and Afghanistan!
The whole menu is well curated and the aroma of the food served brought in the richness of the several geo-locations it encompasses! The cuisines ranged from West Bengal to Kabul, Amritsar to Delhi, Awadh, Burma spanning four countries and truly reflected the rich heritage the countries share!
.
.
The festival features delectable starters like Lahori Chicken Chargha, Park Street ka Singhara, Kabuli Akhrot ki Shami, Machi Amritsari etc. The mains include Jama Masjid Ki Paya Curry, Macher Jhol, Chicken in Hoisin Sauce, Dum Aloo Banarasi, Chicken in Chilli Oyster, Kathal Ki Biryani, Aloo Matar Ki Tehri etc. The Live Counter boasts of regional specialties like Patna Litti Chokha, Kolkata Roll, Ambale wali Aloo Tikki Choley, Lahori Chapli Kabab and Gol Gappe. Some of the famous desserts include Philauri Phirni, Seviyon ki Kheer/ Gulathi (Rampur), Howrah Soojir Halwa, Gajrella (Gajar Halwa), Laknowi Lauki ka Halwa etc.
.
The overall ambience has a Earthy desi vibe to it, which compliments the overall setup!
.

Buffet was bit expensive compared to price they charged. Lack of options for starters. Quality of some items was very good and but not all. Needs bit improvement on buffet
Kamal Kumar Mukiri
It resembles native North Indian style. Service is awesome. Food quality is good. Can try, some thing different compared to other places. I wish to visit this place again.
Mylavarapu Nikhil
Worst experience of eating Punjabi cuisine. Food is not tasty, spicy, no flavor at all. All sabzis tasted the same. It's a dhabba with dhaba in it's name. Staff were not attentive at all. Only saving grace was it's rooftop and you get cool breeze at night. Else one can give it a miss if there's any other option near by.
Manisha Gupta
Extremely expensive. Masala papad costed us Rs. 200/- approx. Used our Zomato gold on food 1+1 . But still it was expensive. Food was good. No ambience, when we had gone some work was going on in the restaurant. A place where you can just eat food and pay lot of money and just go home.
Mahaveer Katrela
Nice ambiance authentic punjabi style, they have live gazal it was memorable fantastic service was great people are humble and courteous over all great experiences....
Ritesh Jain
Very very limited veg alacarte menu. However ambience is good and live performance makes it even better. Good place if you are not too fussy about varieties served. Servers and manager were good.
Pramod Agarwal
Food is very nice and hospility is also very nice, they are polite giving full attention on customer also musicians are good.

I went first time but really enjoy fully. We sit there up to 2hour.
Genuine Review..!
There’s nothing right in this restaurant except the ambience and live music. Food is awful . No flavour, no taste completely bland. I was really shocked to find every dish like that . Service is slower than a snail. Starters, main course and deserts each took 30 mins to be on our table. It’s very heavy on your pocket too. A visit to this restaurant would be a waste of your time and money.
Nitya Acharya
Honestly the biggest disappointment. Worst staff. No knowledge on communication and be aware while paying bill the waitress took my 500 rs and said that I didn't pay the bill horrible experience
Vishwanath Hegde
Nice place with live music and open air....Perfect place for the dinner at heart of the city....They should run till late night on weekends...
Beryl Washington
The Food that we expected was not what we got.. below average.. way too spicy , not tasty either. We opted for a buffet, very less no. of starters.. staffs were polite though. I felt they could have put a music instead of live songs, which was way too loud.. totally disappointing..

Food 2/5
Ambience 3.5/5
Money 3.5/5

Not worth the money!
Jui Kulkarni
It was an awesome dinner + Ghazal night. I would like to thank the Ghazal singer Sachin and his team for an awesome musical experience. And Puran Da dhaba, you guys have an extensive menu and the food was really good.
Tip/ note:
1. One heads up I would like to give is about the drinks menu-- the rates are really 4 star!
2. If you are up to the Ghazal night and buffet try to reach on time of the same event and make most of it.

Our 2nd visit to the place on 14th Feb and it was fabulous this time. Completely packed restaurant and still flawless service. Special thanks to Ashish & Prakash for ensuring such pleasant experience.

This place has got one of the coolest ambiance or setting I’ve seen in Bangalore. You’ve got iconic Bollywood movie dialogues written over the walls. There is also an old school truck front and a scooter to be photographed with guests..:p. The food is good with pleasing variety. Overall a cool place to hang out with friends and family.
Jeewan Mohta
Very nice ambience. A big thumbs up to the live band who were playing good old hindi songs. Food was ok. Starters were served hot. Hot and crispy jalebis were the best from the lot.
Harish Nair
The ambience is good but food is not value for money. Per head buffet is 1000rs and alacarte is too expensive. Zomato gold does not work for buffet. Overall experience is not that great for the value for money. Hospitality, ambience and live music is good.
Raja Nand Sharma
Awesome food, ambience and the best part live old retro songs. Best service I have seen till date, even if the menu doesn't have some item on that particular day, they provide you the dish by making it then and there. And last the manager Prakash Singh is very talented and knows how to handle the customers. All over it's an awesome place to have a get together with your friends and family.

Must place to visit. Punjabi themed restaurant with tasty n authenticate Punjabi food.
Staff is very polite and helpul. Service is good. Best part is live music. They sing 80s and 90s songs and you can dedicate to ur loved ones. We had a dinner buffet which was very good. There were lot of varieties in veg n non veg, chaats n deserts. Ambience is quirky. Good place for family celebrations.

The concept of a rooftop Ghazal night with a buffet sounded great in theory, but lacked the right execution. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, and yet the food served in the buffet was cold at 9.30PM. The buffet spread was disappointing and the food overall was pretty average. Desserts were bad, except for the jalebi. I do appreciate that they went out of their way to get grilled fish prepared especially for me since I wanted to have something on the “healthier” side in snacks. Singers were also just OK. I booked through BookMyShow and paid 900rs. / person and did not feel it was worth the money.
Neha Prasad
Nice Ambience ...all Punjabi village style . They have live band singing old Bollywood numbers , which will make you feel nostalgic. Service is not great but the staff is humble and courteous. Food is good and buffet has got good spread.

Great ambiance and food. It was an awesome experience. Live music was so soothing and as the restaurant is at the rooftop, cool breeze was complimenting. Happy to recommend others.

Live old songs are the best here!!!!! Food is not so great. Can improve. Old songs make the place more lively. Awesome!!!!! Plz improve the quality of the food served.

Here there's a lot of noise. place for love and hugs but not hate. Improve the quality of the people, don't talk politely. Quality of food is good.

We went for the ISL match in Kanteereva Stadium and post match, we were looking for a dinner place nearby. As it was around 9:30, we searched zomato, and wanted a place with good ratings and also nearby. We came across this place. It had been rated 4+. The ambience was too good. And there was a live band playing melodious Bollywood numbers. We asked for the ala carte menu . After making us wait for 20-25mins, they informed that we have go for buffet as they were not taking any further ala carte orders. Expected the food to be brilliant. By then it was 10pm. We decided to go for the buffet, the worst decision of that night. Food was cold. Starters were over. For veg, they served only paneer Tikka and pani puri. That is it. Main course was worse. Finally we thought that dessert would be better. But bad luck struck us again. Pathetic experience. Ice cream had melted and become ice cream shake. There were 2-3other sweets And pastries, which were equally bad. And guess the price of the buffet..it was 900 bucks. So I don't know, whether it was that particular day that the food was bad, and it is not the case otherwise. But I was highly disappointed. I have rated this place 2star, 1* for ambience (because of the truck like structure giving a star), 1* for the band playing music.
Minakshi :)
This restaurant has great ambience. Authentic Punjabi dishes and decor. Good starters. Hospitable attendants. The live music added to the great experience!

An amzing place to hangout with friends and Family. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. Both the ambience and the staff here is wonderful. Been here many times with friends and family and this place has never disappointed me!
You will get wide range of delicious North Indian food both veg and non-veg and never to miss the desserts especially Gulab jamun and the Rasmalai! The setting of the place on a rooftop along with the live bollywood music is like a cherry on the cake.To sum it up...I would say its the best place to enjoy your food and drinks with lively and awesome atmosphere!
S. Bala Krishnan
This place is famous for its lovely veg and non veg kebabs. Rooftop restaurant with views to die for ...lovely live ghazals sung by a bunch of really talented musicians.
Sonal
I love the food. Ambience was very good. Everywhere we can see the pictures is inspired by bolywood. Live music was awesome. All the songs are from 90s,80s. So I enjoyed a lot. Ilike the hospitality. From manager to staff, all are very friendly. So 5 start from my side. I really like to go again. 😊

Sachin Ghorpade
All fake reviews here. Very limited choices for buffet not worth the money. Don’t visit this place and spoil your occasion. Seems to be paid reviews who have written pages of review..
Sharad
Basic dishes like paneer tikka itself were not even cooked properly. No wonder most of the tables were empty. 2 stars just for the live music
Bhavesh Patel
Food was good. Would rate 3.5/5 for the food.
But for the service i experienced i would rate it 0.5/5.
Took almost 30-40 mins to get us 2 starters. Not a good experience. Will never visit again.

It has been one of the most awesome experiences of mine till now. I visited Bangalore on a short trip of 3 days. My childhood friend knows that I am a big fan of the 70s, 80s & 90s hindi songs. She planned this dinner for me.

Puran da Dhaba is situated at the rooftop of The Pride Hotel. It was a ghazal night wherein 3 singers were called to sing melodies from the old hindi movies and ghazals. It was an awesome ambience.

I had whisky while listening to the melodies. The cafe has buffet menu as well as a la carte option. We went for the buffet. The staff was courteous enough to serve each item on our table as were engrossed in enjoying the live music.

For starters we were served mutton seekh kebab, chicken tikka, fish tikka, creamy broccoli, panner tikka, crispy potato and prawn tikka. For the main course, we had chicken biryani, punjabi kukkad masala and dal fry with butter naan. For dessert, we were served hot gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream, pastries and halwa.

The food was really stupendous and the ambience was fantastic. Me and my friend requested so many songs to be played and our request was well taken care of by the singer.

Everything is perfect about this place, right from the location to the decor to the service and most importantly the food. Located in the heart of the city Puran Da Dhaba is on the 6th floor of the Pride hotel. They have both ala carte and buffet option. Since we were just two of us we opted for buffet. There was good spread of starters, main course, chat and desserts. (We had vegetarian only).
Hara bhara kebab and ajwain aloo were outstanding and even the main course was really good.
Will highly recommend this place for all the Punjabi food lovers.
Special mention to the GM Mr Bala and F&B manager Mr Ashish who were very hospitable.
Antony Dsilva
It's a fantastic place to chill out. We loved the food and it's very yummy , love the rooftop dinning. You would really enjoy the music also
Anish Dharwadkar'z
Such a lovely ambience and courteous staff , had a great conversation with The manager Prakash Singh who escorted us very well during our stay , the food and service was great as always and also the best part was the live classical orchestra music on the roof top . Must visit .
Sneha Rebecca Banja
Had been here for a birthday celebration ... The food was good , the ambience beautiful but the thing that impressed me the most was the service ..... This restaurant has everything great to offer and to top it all they have live music .... This week was ghazals week , this was the perfect birthday dinner idea for my dad . The restaurant staff was courteous , I availed my zomato gold discount .Though they have a lovely buffet spread , we decided to go with ala carte We ordered mutton seekh kebab , hara bhara kebab and mutton rogan josh ....... The mutton was cooked to perfection and correctly spiced , the hara bhara kebab was yummy too . Lovely North Indian cuisine would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a perfect evening out .
Shaashwat Narayan
Amazing place, love the ambience and the food gets even better. Thought Bangalore would not have such Punjabi food but I was mistaken. Also a lot of y'all would be of the view that this place, being in a five star hotel would be really expensive, but you're wrong. The value for money is the best part here. Do come here with you family, friends or office colleagues. You will not regret it.
SHRISHAIL BAGE
Not worth. Food is not good not tasty. Waste of time and money. Staff is good. Ambience is not so good. Bad experience. By seeing the rating in zomato I thought it was good.

A rooftop Punjabi cuisine with buffet at a great price. Puran da dhaba can be considered the most underrated Punjabi cuisine in the town. It is established on the sixth floor of the pride hotel. The restaurant is reopened after their modification work and is must go-to place for some classic Punjabi cuisine and drinks.
🍗🍖🥩🥓🥘🍚🍛🍧🍨🥚🍲🥜🌶️🍄🍹🍸🍷🥃🍦🥐

🇦The ambience of the restaurant gives you a nice feel of the dhaba culture that exists in Punjab and other region at the highways. It has a well in the sixth floor and a trunk as well!!! Yes you read it right. Punjabi folk songs are played and there is also a live music sung with the artists as well. The seatings are also good and lightings are dim and mean. Since it is placed at the sixth floor, the evenings are pretty cool and calm has the breeze passes by.

🇸Service is average, the crew are courteous. They make sure every demand of the costumers are fulfilled. The bartender is always happy to prepare the barman special be it mocktail or cocktail. The crew are very well aware of what they are serving.

🇫🍽️ What I ate???
🍴Mango mint spicy➡️The mango mint was like a Raw mango juice which was mixed thoroughly with some spices. It tasted good and was pretty different from the all time conventional mocktails like virgin mojito.

🍴Barman's special➡️The barman's special was a nice crafted mocktail prepared by the bartender from out of the menu for me. It was amazing with various fruit punches in them. The essence of strawberry flavour could be felt.

🍴Ghosht galalouti➡️I had rather high expectations of galaloutis but it didn't keep up to my expectations. The minced lamp meat was prepared well but the baby parotas were pretty disappointing. It was more salty and overall affecting the well minced lamp meat.

🍴Mahkmal murg tikka➡️ I loved this. "Malai" which means cream, was amazing. The chicken chunks was marinated well with diary products like yogurt and cheese. The species were perfect. It is a must try.

🍴Achari fish tikka:➡️The fish tikka was too soft and tasted amazing. The garlic and ginger paste which was mixed with fish was perfect. It wasn't much spicy either but I loved it.

🍴Hara bhara Kebab➡️The Hara Bhara Kebab are the vegetable cutlet, they were pretty okayish.

🍴Ghost dum briyani➡️ I love biryani and always make sure I don't miss tasting biryani whenever I go to restaurant. The dum biryani was average.

🍴Amritsar fish masala➡️The fish masala curry was very good and again the fish was soft.

🍴White chocolate fooze➡️ I loved this, it must be the eclair flavour. It tasted good. No too much saccharine to spoil it ,but perfect.

🍴Strawberry cheesecake➡️The strawberry cheesecake was excellent.

🍴Cream caramel➡️With a nice milk chocolate strap placed above the surface the cream caramel tasted good.

🍴Salu tukda➡️I loved the salu tukda it was amazing. The Khova was great in that and a sprinkle of tutty fruits on these was just perfect.

All and all Purana da dhaba is a nice restaurant with varieties of desserts and nice food. The live music is pretty nice.
Varsha Anand
Well this place is really huge and completely decorated with Bollywood theme. You will see funny dialogue written all over the walls here. Overall the place is quite colorful. They also have live music played by really awesome people, they generally sing old 80's-90's song, which is not very jazzy but soothing which goes really well with the rooftop Ambience.

They have buffet menu as well as Al-a-carte. I really liked their Achari Fish tikka & Chicken Tikka. Fish was really delicious, I surely recommend that here. Even the chicken in Chicken Tikka was juicy and soft. But in Makhmali Chicken Tikka, it was slightly chewy and I felt it bland in taste. I tired mutton galouti for the first time, I have heard a lot about galouti kebabs but here it was little disappointing. There are other items likes Hara bhara Kabab, Chicken Tikka you can try instead. They also have chats and bar bites which goes really well with the drinks. The bartender here is very confident and serves you good and unique combinations.

Even the dessert tabels had some delicious choice as well, I really liked their Mango Mousses & Shahi Tukda. Both were sweet treat to end your meal here.

Recommendation : Achari Fish Tikka, Chicken Tikka ,Makke Ki Roti & Sarso da Saag, Shahi Tukda.
Stomach Ek (by Ravish Malhotra)
Being from North India, I have been on a constant lookout for great North Indian food, and this place has been a great find. I heard from friends that this had just reopened some time back but was apprehensive at first because its rating was low. However, as soon as I reached here, it was a completely different story. The ambience was spectacular. It opens at around 7 PM and is just magnificent to look at. Located on the 6th floor, the view around, especially during the rains is beautiful. Accompanied by the fantastic lightings all overs, the place is a fiesta. They have the driving compartment of the truck there for you to click pictures, there's a cycle highlighted all over with LED lights. There are tyres stacked one on top of the other as well as the classic "manjis" that you'll find in the roadside dhabas up north for seating. And then there are the conventional seats as well.

Coming to the drinks, they have a barrage of novel options to choose from both in terms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ones. I tried the Paan Ki Dukaan (8.5/10), Khada Masala Spiced Wine (8/10), Mango Martini (8/10), Dhaba Ka Punch (8/10) and Tum Kab Aaoge (8/10). It's not that I had all of them, but we shared most of the drinks. Both Dhaba Punch and Tum Kab Aaoge were mocktails and were quite decent. While the Tum Kab Aaoge was sweet and fruity, the Dhaba Punch was slightly spicy and thus the "punch" in the name. I liked the Paan cocktail the most which was more like a mojito with just a little flavour of paan. Although I liked it, I felt the paan flavour could be even more. The spiced wine was also quite nice and different from what I've had before. It had a mix of spices which weren't too strong on the palate, and I felt that'd make a great drink for winters. The Mango Martini was also quite nice and refreshing, and I was actually confused between all these 3 cocktails on which was the best as they were all quite nice.

Coming to the starters, the first thing that struck us about these was the presentation and the colours of these. It was really nice and inviting and thus made us indulge that little bit extra than what we would normally do. I tried the Gosht Galouti (6.5/10), Makhmali Murgh Tikka (8.5/10), Achari Fish Tikka (9/10), Paneer Tikka (8.5/10), Hara Bhara Kebab (8/10) and Veg Badam Seekh Kebab (8/10). While the galouti was a disappointment for me both in terms of textures and spices, the fish tikka was extremely nice. It had the perfect amount of spices and tang which makes me drool even now. We actually ordered 2 servings of this, because no one was satisfied with just 1! The Paneer Tikka was the best option in terms of vegetarian options as again it had a similar masala as the fish. The Makhmali Murgh Tikka was basically malai tikka and was really well cooked. It was full of succulent pieces which would melt in the mouth. The Hara Bhara Kebab and Veg Seekh Kebab were also decent but slightly bland and thus overshadowed by the extravagance of the paneer tikka. They also have a live chaat counter from where we had the Paani Puri (7.5/10) and Papdi Chaat (8/10). My ratings might look strict because of the North Indian expert in me coming out (:p), but these were quite decent and could be had once for sure.

In terms of the main course I only tried a few items which were Amritsari Fish Masala (8.5/10), Dal Makhni (8.5/10), Lachha Parantha (7.5/10) and Tawa Vegetables (8.5/10). The fish again was the star for me and was nicely spiced. It was also soft and thus went well with the crispy breads. The lachha parantha was slightly disappointing as I expected it to be more flaky. That being said, it was served hot and crispy which I love in breads. The Dal was again quite good and really nice and rich. Both for vegetarians and non-vegetarians I feel the meal is incomplete until you haven't tried Dal Makhni. The Tawa Vegetables reminded me of the weddings up in North India. They also have a stall where they have an array of vegetables cooked together in a wonderful spice mix. I had taken a mix of 4-5 vegetables and the spice mix really brought out the best in them. I would recommend everyone regardless of being a meat lover or not, to try these and savour this delicacy.

Last but not the least, the desserts that I tried were Shahi Tukda (9/10) and Gulab Jamun (8.5/10). I loved the Shahi Tukda which is basically fried bread soaked in sugar syrup and then served with rabri. I loved it both in terms of the bread as well as the rabri, which came together to make a fantastic dessert. The Gulab Jamun was also quite nice, and though I am not a huge fan of it, I managed to finish one whole piece.

To sum up, I would like to emphasize on the fact that I loved this place, and as of now, this is my favourite place for North Indian food in Bangalore. Would definitely love to visit this place again to try out the 100 other options that I wasn't able to try the last time.

PS: They have a live music night 8PM onwards where they sing classic Indian songs from the previous generation which is again something to look forward to!

Puran da Dhaba

Located at the Rooftop of Pride Hotel on Richmond Road. Cuisine served over here is North Indian with option of buffet & Ala carte. A typical Punjabi style dhaba with some khat's type seating. Ambiance is huge. Will give you a proper feel of some roadside dhaba in Punjab street's. There are some crazy quotes/slangs on the wall. They also have live bar section. Every night is the Ghazal night with some classy Live Music.

Below are my recommendation-
*Cocktails*
Paan Ki Dukaan
Mango Martini

*Starters*
Makhmali Murgh Tikka
Achari Fish Tikka
Paneer Tikka

*Mains*
Butter Kulcha
Subz Kofta Curry
Amristari Fish Masala
Gosht Dum Biryani

*Dessert*
Gulab Jamun
Rabdi with Jalebi

Service is little slow. Should improve on the services part.

Great setup with ambience and the environment. As it is at the terrace get a nice view of the city due to its locations. Food were awesome, especially Welcome Drink (various options) like Jaljeera, Butter Milk, Lassi and starter both veg and non veg. Price seems to be reasonable. A must visit place.

Puran da dhaba an authentic Punjabi cuisine restaurant located in pride hotel. They recently re-launched restaurant with new ambiance and food.
Location: They are in 6th floor of pride hotel located in residency road, Bengaluru. Every easy to locate thru Google maps and restaurant is visible from main road. Hotel offers basement parking.
Ambiance: Just like Punjabi dhabas ambiance is created and is very pleasing with attractive lightings. They have a water well, truck, bicycle and an old scooter on display. Open bar with cozy lighting. Open terrace gives a city view and fresh air. I was there for dinner and the city view was amazing.
Drinks: Mock tails are very refreshing and cool with attractive colors, tried mango mint spicy, Punjab Ki barsat and dhaba ka punch. Mango mint spicy was different from rest with balanced spice and sweetness flavors.
Food: They serve both veg and non-veg items in both al-carte & buffet. They have a kitchen setup in dhaba way to serve food hot. From starters we ordered
1. Paneer tikka - paneer was marinated properly and tandoor, it was soft and tasty with pudina chutney.
2. Hara bhara kebab - I like kebabs bit roasted on both sides, here it was smooth and mild in taste.
3. Veg badami seek kebab - served cold, presentation was simple, badam blend in kebab was flavorful.
Main course: They have a wide verities of curries and gravies to offer, we ordered for subz kofta curry, dal panchratan and sarso ki saag. All this are served in a simple kadai along with bread.

Dessert: Jalebi rabri, delicious. I must say presentation was amazing with colorful, juicy jalebi with rabri on both sides. Jalebis are crispy and sweetness was infact.
Service: They have to improve a bit in service. Service was slow and to be attentive to customers and their queries.
Ambiance: 4/5
Taste: 3.5/5
Price: 3.5/5
Service: 3/5
Overall: 4/5
Enjoy your food.

The concept of a Dhaba has been recreated very aptly at the terrace of the Pride hotel on Richmond road and provides a very friendly and urbane atmosphere to the onlookers as they arrive. The dishes are mostly North Indian and the Galoutikebab was my favourite although I would expect then meat to be more tender. The fish achari tikka was fine however the Chicken Tikka had bones in them, something I was unaware of in a Tikka dish. The ambience of the place is very inviting and the staff courteous enough to cater to all our requests. The mains were delicious and the Punjabi Dum Aloo was my favourite of the lot. I did crave for the Jalebi and Raabri and my wait was worth it. The alcoholic drinks served along needed some improvement and the Andheri Ghazal Raat was an inteteresting combination to start with. I had a couple of Bartenders special with Bacardi as the base but the cocktails were not potent enough. A Great dining experience otherwise.
Puran Da Dhaba, at the 6th floor of Pride Hotel. Terrace mein Dhaba, perfect ambiance with a truck and a well😂

Coming to the drinks, all the cocktails looked colourful and soulful.
Mocktails,
Mango mint spicy: This is the regular diluted mango puree and some mint and spices, well this is a good one to begin with.
Chatpat Imli: A good tangy imly Chatpat to enerjuvate your mind.
Tum kab aaoge: A red mocktail with apple and cider. This is for the one who misses alcohol.
Dhaba Ka Punch: This is my favourite here. The dhaba ka Punch is just not a fruit punch but a good drink which is lightly heavy.
Punjab ki Barsaat: Get set go and have this!!

Coming to the food,
Starters-
Ghosht Galalouti: The galouti kebab is Punjabi and what more do you expect from the rich flavour.
Mahkmali Murg Tikka: This mild Murg Tikka was perfect
Achari Fish tikka: soft but good
Hara Bhara Kebab: Well you are in Puran Da Dhaba, what can you expect less, this amazing Hara Bhara Kebab is good with the Green chutney
Veg Badam Sheekh Kebab: Badam Sheekh was well made, the roast was also good
Kadai Vegetables: My favourite here. Don't miss this when you are here, especially the bitter guard one.

Main Course,
Ghosht Dum Biryani: The biryani was delicious and held much flavour.
Vegetable Biryani: This is more a Pulav😂
Murgh Sagwala: The murgh or the chicken was properly marinated and the gravy was perfect.
Amritsar Fish Masala: Something delicious on your way.
Kadai Panner: The Kadai Panner was great and the soft panner peices will make you go 😍😍
Subz Kofta curry: The soft milld kofta was good but not for a spice lover.
Punjabi Dum Aloo: The soft Dum Aloo mixed with spices and the red chilli based gravy is fantastic.
Sarson Ka Saag: How can you not have Sarson ka Saag in a Punjabi place. This is one of their delicacies.
Mushroom Curry: This soft mushroom curry the best here.

Desserts-
Jalebi and Rabri: the perfect combination.
Mango Mousse: This was a good one, mango jelly and cream.
Gajar ka halwa: The old carrot halwa, try it here..
Balushani: This indian delicacy was hard and good.
Dry Lancha: This is the dry jamoon and this goes well with the carrot halwa
White Chocolate Fooze: This was not that sweet and hence a perfect one.
Strawberry Cheesecake
Cream Caremal were good.

A fantastic service here too

Love the ambience of this place, has a different vibe to it. The food was good. It's a good place to try out to see if it fits your taste buds. Good place to take your parent out for a bit of old India. The live band adds to the old-school vibe.

Located on the 6th floor of The Pride Hotel Near Richmond circle,Bangalore...this place goes behind time to transport you to all different timeline of 20-30 years back.

The place is done to perfection with the ambience done just upright to fit the name PURANA DHABA-Old Dhaba. They go a step further in creating a artificial well with a bucket resting on top,a half lorry front portion,a old scooter and a lit-up cycle too.

The Dhaba boasts of all you can eat buffet spread with good options available in both veg and nonveg.

The place also boasts of a full fledged bar where the bartender needs to learn a lot of tricks in mixing the cocktails right. High time to train him up or replace him. Sorry... this beautiful place needs some professional bartender.

The place just can’t be run on passion alone. The bartender,The chef and the support staff contribute a major role in this. The service has to improve by leaps and bounds and appropriate soft skills training would be appreciated.

The Cocktails tried were-

1.Paan Ki Dukaan -ok
2.Mango Martini-ok

The Starters tried were-

1.Gosht Galouti- a absolute disaster and a disgrace to the dish
2.Makhmali Murgh Tikka- Loved the way it was cooked with the right spices and tender chicken .
3.Achari Fish Tikka-Star of the Evening. A dish done to such perfection that the chef has taken pride in serving something so right. Too good.
4.Paneer Tikka- making Paneer is a art and the chef has failed miserably here. The Paneer was rubbery and lacked the basic taste. Best avoid.

The Main course tried were

1.Butter Kulcha-Soft,nice and and perfectly done not burnt.
2.Subz Kofta Curry - a beautiful dish that went very well with the Kulcha and a joy to eat.
3.Amristari Fish Masala- Again a show stopper dish whipped up just so right. Passion to serve right by the chef and tasted too good.
4.Gosht Dum Biryani - have tasted better. I may be wrong in comparing but strongly feel could have been far better.

The Desserts tried were

1. Gulab Jamun
2. Ghajar ki Halwa with Ice cream

The place also has some live music on lines with the Punjabi theme.

Valet parking available

Evening for 2 would cost around Rs 2000/-

As of me personally feel if the taste of certain dishes have pointed out can be changed for better and the BAR in hands if someone far better trained would act as a booster in getting more business and also attract the trendier crowd.

The height advantage of being on a 6 th floor with a beautiful view of the city, the right ambience can be put to better use and efficiency in generating better revenue to the management.

Slight tweaks at the right places in terms of management,Chef and Bartender will take you a long way...

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our family during our visit to the Puran da Dhaba,Pride hotel. Mr. Suraya and Chandan were so very accommodating and informed about our special dietary needs. The food at the Dhaba was always delicious!
My son had a wonderful time and liked that he could order special food and the chef would make it so he could eat it.
Thank you also for having the special gluten free items for my Family. I tried the Murgh malai tikka and mutton biryani it was delicious! It was so nice to know we didn’t have to worry as much about our food while on vacation, and that we were able to order it and not have to bring a lot of food with us.
Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything! We had a great Time, and Suraya and His staff helped to make it that way! We will be back next time again! I’ll be sure to let you know in advance before we come again.

Located above the pride international hotel at 6th floor. Decent decor, dhaba theme, decent taste, watched IPL live on the big screen. Bit expensive side, ₹.700/buffet. Starters were good, nice range of variety but feels hot during summer as it's a open food top and mosquito issues. Overall a place to try.

Set up on the roof top of pride hotel, with a mix of rustic and modern feel. As soon as u step in it gives you the feel of a vibrant modern dhaba, if not an authentic one; u can find quirky posters, scooter, cycle and even a well!!
Its very airy and the live singers add to the charm of this place.
Coming to the food they usually have buffets on saturdays and sundays, and as far as i believe they are open for dinners mostly. A huge variety of starters and to begin with the crispy naan and an array of chutneys and pickles is just amazing.
The starters are soft and juicy, especially the chicken.
Corn kebabs are my absolute favourites! They also have tandoori vegetables, tawa vegetables, live pani puri and papdi chat, seekh kebabs, fish and chicken tikka.
The maincourse spread is also a good spread and dont forget to try the makke ki roti with sarso ka saag and gur.
For desserts they have a mix of cakes and indian sweets.
A must visit place for a fun filled evening, you will be content both by heart and soul.

Good hotel with good ambience and the food was very 😋 and yummy. We hanged out with our friends again we need to visit the hotel with my family

I went to this dhaba for lunch. Not that appealing in looks. Service is very very slow. It was a week day and it was looking like they were not expecting anyone. Although, they said it is buffet, everything was served at table itself. We needed to select the dishes we want from buffet menu and they got those for us. I am giving 2.5 due to food taste. It wasn't out of the world but not bad too. Overall, it wasn't a good experience. Bangalore has many such places so nobody would go to such place again and won't suggest others too.
Vinitha
The starters were very good. Ambiance with some ghazals are awesome. A nice place to enjoy your dinner at the roof top with superb view. Don't forget to try hot jalebi's.
Pradeep Dorai
The overall place was actually very nice. Was hesitant with the reviews but the food and ambience changed my perception. The staffs are really supportive and the love music adds an extra flavor to the over all ambience. The starters were really nice and the biriyani they served was heavens.
A must visit place with your family.

Rooftop ambiance and authentic punjabi style decoration. Worst customer service don't know how to talk to people over, Managers are very rude.

Addition of soothing live gazal music is added to my meal experience, which made my evening, great elaboration of starters, mains and live counters for dessert and appetizers. A completely different level of satisfaction at Puran Da dhaba, since it's located on roof of Pride Hotel it adds an entire a different experience. Loved it.
Hookaholic Foodie
The worst place to visit for anything no matter it's food or hookah or may be it's Moctails cocktail or drinks.
The ambiance is okay but all the stuff in it looks old not well maintained at all.
They have a parking which is okay only 1 benefit.
Worst service ever need to call 2-3 times for each thing like litrally even if it's giving you ketchup or changing the charcoal of the pot. Only the hokah maker will come and change the coal no one else can do it or knows how to do it.
The hookah also sucks.
I'm thinking if there alacarte food is only so bad then how bad will the buffet food be.
Sorry to say but going to this this place is like wasting your time and money.

I had an amazing time at Pride hotel. the food at Puran Da Dhaba absolutely spectacular. The starters ware absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Staff were wonderful. Looking forward to visit again with my family. Awesome place to be with friends and family. What a great place! I highly recommend it.

Awesome food and staff. Evening drink & dine with ghazal feels so good.
Awesome place to be with friends and family. Had a great time. A go to place

Been there once with my wife, we wanted to eat at a good place in the evening. We both were on a business visiting to bangalore. Suggested by Zomato, we tried the place. My feedback

Ambience : roof top, good weather makes it the best.
This was the only good thing

Food : below average
Service : poor
Staff : no knowledge of the buffet menu
Billing : lethargic person

A totally Punjab village themed restaurant in the middle of the city.. That too on roof top sounds wonderful...
So we landed at The Pride hotel Richmond circle last week..
Can enjoy the city view with.. light gentle winds to charge your body.
Coming on food ... Overall just okey types.
The starter's needs a massive improvement.. So as little with main course.
Dal was awesome.
Pramod N
I had been here a week back, the restaurant is on rooftop, not so known to many of them, but it is a good rooftop, nice place to sit and relax with wide varieties of food. Most of them are tasty and some of them I could not judge if they are really good as it was Punjabi flavors. So no comments on the food which I don't know. Value for money.
Manoj Ningappa
The interiors are tastefully done. Amazing food quality and taste. Dal Makhani was too good. Both veg and non-veg food are good. variety of items are available.

Unfortunately, I have a membership with pride hotel & I was forced to go here. This dhaba located on the terrace gives an amazing view of the city! It's a beautiful place with an old village setup. They also have an modified auto inside:P

Coming to the food, the starters served in a steel plate is very boring. The main course is horrible and the desserts and lassi is decent.

The only thing good about this place is the place and not the FOOD!

You can also enjoy the old Bollywood songs, only if they had good food it would have been perfect.
