Review Red Sun - Bengaluru

ROHITH S.A
As far as I have experienced this is one of the best Chinese restaurant in the locality. Beginning from the interior to the Ambience to the Chinese instrumental music. Coming to the food they are delicious and presented very well. We had ordered tofu starter, red Thai curry with rice an Hunan style chicken n rice, noodles. They were exceptionally good. Friendly staff and good parking space. Pricing is a very little bit on the higher side but doesn't hurt your wallet much.

Soon you enter inside it's a Chinese ambience with Red backdrops everywhere. Food tastes good and I am not sure it tastes the Chinese way as it should be. Better to go for a Ala Carte instead of buffet as u get served the Buffet on the table and you end up having less varieties. Even you book a table and pre order you can expect delay in serving as they prepare only upon your physical presence there 😉. Typically you can spend 2 hrs for a relaxed Lunch with friends and family.

Never seen more Chinese like restaurant before.Food taste & quality is too good.Only let down, buffet is not worth it,they prepare limited dishes as and when people ask for the buffet.Almost like ala-carte they serve on table.
prasanthme
Good and tasty food(inspite of bit of a delayed service). Service staff could be more professional.

Good food prepared tasty and hot. Affordable prices and very good service. We went for dinner just a day before the Chinese New year special week and so I just mentioned that we came that day as it was our parents wedding anniversary and after our dinner, the manager Mr.Satish with the help of the chef arranged for a cute special anniversary cake for them. Wonderful experience.

Quite an underrated yet good Chinese restaurant with great interiors. The place is overshadowed by the metro station. So, it can be a little difficult to spot. Parking is available in plenty. We tried their vegetarian food. In particular, the Sichuan Chilli Babycorn and Pan Fry Noodles. Both of them were well made with good quality ingredients. Pricing was decent too. However, my only concern with the place was the irritating presence of mosquitoes in an AC Environment. Overall, I'd recommend this place but would like it even more if the management considers the mosquito issue seriously.
Premchand Shetty
Interior's done well considering China Town theme. These guy's serve authentic Chinese mouth watering delicacies. Parking space is excellent. Overall, I recommend this place worth the visit once when you are near Yeshwantpur, Bangalore. For 2 pax lunch/dinner cost will be Rs.800/- (including tax).

Very nice food and fantastic ambience. Tucked behind the metro station so you need to be on the lookout so as not to miss the place. Enjoyed with family and friends. You have a nice family corner which can take 10 people. Should visist.

,whether its for a date , a casual outing with friends or a family affair, this place will leave you baffled and is an amazing to worship your belly. The interior with a red toned chinese theme is breathtaking and the soothing chinese music provides the right dose of relaxation. The food is absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of soups, starters and main course options. They also serve alcohol. The hospitality is superb. A must try from the menu are aromatic chicken, chicken dimsum and nasi goreng. Overall, if you are looking for a chinese restaurant with a difference, Red Sun is the one for you.

Hey friends! Couple of weeks ago we a grp of four ppl visited Red Sun restaurant, at yeshwantpur, which is closer to Gorguntepalya metro station and right above Uppumunchi , It's a Gud place to hangout with friends and family , with good interior and Furniture, even different variation in seating arrangements. We even get chinese cuisine Buffet on weekdays.... please do try this place My categorized Rating for Red Sun: Food options: 4/5 Food taste : 4/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambience: 4.5/5 My over all rating it 4.5/5. cheers guys

I have visited this place 3 times & I never got disappointed. The price is reasonable & the food tastes great. Ambience is awesome & quiet. The service is good.

Place is beautiful. Just like the name, its red all around 😁 with authentic chinese touch. When I visited, place lacked customers. So I had a negative first impression but food was good. Bit on expensive side but food, service, ambience was good.

This place has a really unique ambience. It feels really good to go to such places. The food was definitely amazing! Everything they served had that classy presentation skills. So, the food looked and tasted amazing. They also happen to have buffets on regular days. But I happened to visit on a Sunday, so I got to experience the service part. I would want to go on a weekday, to experience the buffet food.
Shashank Pandey
Pathetic service! Horrible management. Doesn’t even deserve 1 star! Please please don’t visit this place. They will take ages to serve. Only if you have lots of patience and can time and allow management there to suck your blood
Jayanth
Very underrated place. Amazing setting inside the restaurant and it smells Chinese too. Tried Manchow soup, Pan fried noodles, schezwan noodles and a chocolate sizzler. Best Chinese ever.
Shree Harsha
Nice ambiance, very good food.. loved the place. But they take more time to serve food. Apart from that everything else is good. Could improve on fast service

If u are Chinese food lover ... this is a must visit palace close to yesheantpur metro station....awsome food and ambience ...worth going and spending your time

The place is very hard to find as it is behind the metro pillar . . Hence it is a big task to find the place . Now coming to the food . I ordered chilly garlic fried rice which was OKAY .den hakka noodles which was not that great . My friend ordered some chicken which was very bad . It was stale . Say a week old chicken which was sticking like mad . We had to change the order cause the staff had no answers for our questions . And den baby corn Manchurian was ok ok . I don't suggest this place for any of the food lover or rather Chinese food lover . My friend who is mad about Chinese food told me that this is the worst Chinese food restaurant . And I second him !! Bad experience !

I liked the ambience. Interior has got Chinese feel and they play soothing Chinese music. The sea foods were fresh and well prepared. A must try from the menu is aromatic chicken.<br/><br/>Wonderful experience

I liked the ambience. Interior has got Chinese feel and they play soothing Chinese music. Tried buffet menu which comes with 3 starter, 2 main course and 2 deserts with complementary coke. Main course quantity is really good and for decent taste. You get rice and noodles with fish and chicken sauce.. in starter you get chicken momos, chicken wings and fish starter. Starter treated really well. But they serve just 2 piece and of you all them to serve again they were talking at least 15 min get back to you. I was so annoyed with the service.

By chance we came to this place ... For a Sunday afternoon it was quite empty and we were not quite sure about the food . But we were pleasantly surprised .... The decor is quaintly Chinese ... the food was exceptional and to top that off not too expensive to

Absolutely love the island like setting for each table. Service is personalized and great. The food was nice as well. I will be coming back soon to experience great food

Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Bangalore. Great food and top-notch service. And it's unbelievably reasonable. Very well priced. Been visiting this place almost every second day! And will continue to do so.

Very nice food and ambience loved it ...food is just amazing n tasty..the service and the accommodation is really appreciatable...it's a place worth being..

A well designed restaurant with Chinese authenticity. Flavoursome food. The tangy potato was less tangy and more sweet. The baby corn chillis needed to be cooked a little more. I thoroughly enjoyed the veg fried rice and haka noodles. Our meal ended with an absolutely delicious chocolate browny sizzler.
Mohini Priyadarshini
I had a terrible experience with the food from this place. I had ordered for a home delivery and since it was the first time I was ordering from the place, I had taken recommendation from them for a spicy maincourse gravy with Hakka noodles. What I got was indeed "spicy" only to mean that they had put whole spices like 2 inch long cinnamon sticks, cardamoms and what not in my dish with an overall sweet flavour! This was probably the worst Chinese I ever had. The noodles were average. Surely a disappointment for me !!

Excellent<br/><br/>For the theam ( China)<br/><br/>Food - wow<br/><br/>Place good <br/><br/>On an average- Excellent place for friend and family for lunch and dinner<br/><br/>Good WOW EXCELLENT

The ambience of restaurant is mind blowing we feel like we are in China. The light Chinese background music was very impressive. Restaurant had very less guests.<br/> The Eight treasure chicken soup was good. The Drums of Heaven ( Shondong Style) was very spicy, juicy and delicious.<br/>The Chicken Fry Wontons were crispy and the dumpling chicken chunks were very bland to taste. I dont recommend Chicken Wontons. <br/>Chicken Hakka Sichuan Noodles was well prepared but it had less chicken chunks.<br/>Overall the experience was good but I don't approve Service Charge (7.5%) + GST( 5%). <br/><br/>P.S - Even though the restaurant is located just next to GorguntePalya Metro, you need to travel a long distance to reach this restaurant due to on going road work.

This is a fabulous place. The ambience and the service is great.. The food portions are just so generous and filling.. There is a lot of variety in the menu too..

The food and ambience were both amazing.. the staff is really friendly and they have made quite an elaborate menu as well. Overall it's a great experience for dinner with family and friends.

One of the good places i have visited in Bengaluru north. The place displays the authentic Chinese food habits with it's red toned chinese theme & soothing chinese music. You will not be disappointing with the ambiance. I can go on an on talking about the ambiance but let me give it a break and talk about the "FOOD"<br/>The Food is tasty & won't pinch your pocket. Try out their soup, they are definitely better.<br/>However i would say a strict NO to their Buffet. Its just not worth. <br/><br/>I have been here twice and i think it's worth your money

Tasty food, large portion and light on pocket !<br/>What else you need for Sunday lunch. The setting is nice and cozy. Had ordered vegetable green Thai curry and Indonesian bami goreng. <br/>Surprisingly the place was virtually empty. The service was prompt.

Great ambience but horrible food, Singapore noodle i wouldn't give it to my worst enemy smelled stale and horrible . Never going back. We were the only one in the whole place.
Abi Foodie Girl
A nice place with a very good ambiance. We had seafood thick soup with coriander and fish with garlic and pepper for starters, bamboo chicken and mixed meat fried rice for main course and finally brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The food was tasty and more than sufficient, the presentation was good as well. The seafoods were fresh and well prepared. The staffs were courteous.<br/>Overall this place will be great for any type of occasion be it a family time, friends hangout, a date with the partner or even a business meet.
Ankeeta Sinha
Lovely food and beautiful place. Staffs are very cooperative. All dishes are mouth watering. Will suggest one n all to go n spent quality time here. Will visit again and again.
Suneha Bhandary
The ambience is on point. The feel is authentic Chinese with low Chinese music playing throughout. <br/>The food is 4.5/5. The soup was too good with perfect texture and quality. The fish was good and tender. I would suggest you guys to order spicy dishes because the dishes don't have much. <br/>It's a good place to spend quality time with family and friends 😀

This place is so addictive, I keep going back again and again. It's right next to yeshwanthpur metro station making it easier for the ones who stay far to come here. Every time I dine here it feels like I'm in China. The place is themed with the food we get there. There are beautiful rosewood tables with red lights making it more special. I would suggest the vegetarians to not miss out on the Indonesian bami goreng, it's like yummy in the tummy.

For Chinese food lovers this is one of the best restaurants in Bangalore..tasted good Chinese food after a long time..the ambience, the service and staff behavior complimented the whole experience.

Service 2/5<br/>Ambience 2/5<br/>Food 1/5<br/>Crowd: No Crowd <br/>Location: Main Drawback <br/> <br/>Overall 1/5 because they served savige bath Noodle(Karnataka Cuisine) instead of Singapore Noodles. This will be my last visit to this place. If you have Zomato gold member don’t go to this place otherwise these people will treat you like, you are burden over them and came to eat for free! Worst experience <br/>

I have nothing more to say about this restaurant as everything here is just ok but something definitely not right with the food.<br/><br/>Very less lighting, less tasty food and small hint of sweetness in their menu.

It was a great place once you enter into this restaurant u feel that your in China it's a great place they provide chop sticks also guys it's a great place

First things first, this place looks amazing with a good level of detail to mimic Chinese architecture. (Even the after meal mint is fried ginger strips).<br/><br/>Ambience when we visited was ok. The place was completely empty. (A couple just entered as we were leaving). The Chinese music playing was nice.<br/><br/>I would say the staff were good-ish. They weren't very attentive neither were they slacking. So that's mostly neutral to me.<br/><br/>Now the main part - the Food:<br/>The food was tasty and mostly authentic with the same kind of liquid-ish preparation with most dishes (that's how most dishes are made in China). Wouldn't call it 100% authentic Chinese but quite close. If you don't expect the most authentic Chinese cuisine but just want to enjoy a great meal nonetheless, this place will satisfy you.<br/><br/>Oh and a shout out to the Chinese zodiac sheets on the tables - really helped pass the time reading them.<br/><br/>Would recommend this place to friends.

My second visit. I was impressed with my first visit alongwith my office colleagues. Enjoyed the chinese non veg food. This time also experienced the same quality of food ( fully Veg this time). Look forward to visit again.

Poor service<br/>Waited for 1 hr to get our order<br/>Food is not that great<br/><br/>Really slow service and seems like staff is least interested . <br/>They lack in their hospitality.<br/><br/>Really need to work on their food, services and hospitality.<br/><br/>Interiors are just stereotypical. Food served was just a synonym of a cliché served with just some fancy names.<br/><br/>And seriously they should not take service charges. Ain't worth it.<br/><br/>

Late and very poor service<br/>Waited for like an hour to get our order <br/>Really disappointed <br/>Slow service just kills the mood <br/><br/>Though the food is pretty good,<br/>But because We had to wait for it <br/>For so long, it kills our craving. For an hour we just munched on the khimchi.<br/><br/>

Went for the buffet lunch with my office colleagues on a weekday. We were a group of 15 people and the only ones in the entire restaurant throughout our course of lunch. Although we had made reservations and reached right on time, it took more than half an hour for them to even serve us the kimchi salad. The service was REALLY slow. It was a buffet lunch, but did not seem like one; two starters, two main course and one dessert - that's what we got. Food was below average, nothing really stood out. Taste wise, veg was better than non veg. <br/>To sum it up<br/>Ambience - 3/5<br/>Food - 2/5<br/>Value for money - 4/5

Me and my sister went to iskcon today and was searching in zomato for a nearby restaurant serving buffet. Both of us were very hungry and hence was particularly searching for a restaurant with buffet. Found this restaurant with good ratings and went there. The first impression was very good as the ambiance was great and not many people were there. I was expecting this as it is a Monday and is only 12:15 by the time we went there. We were greeted well and was shown our places. We were given the menu when we mentioned we will go for non-veg buffet. The first thing on our table was cucumber salad and cabbage salad, both of which were very tasty. Later when we stood up for the buffet, we were informed that we will be served in the table, which was very welcome. However the time taken for service is too lengthy and we had to ask for each course. We were served with soup and when asked for starters, we were made to wait. I almost finished my soup when 2 non-veg starters (chicken wings and chicken momo) were brought. When we asked for veg starters, we were informed that non-veg buffet will have only non-veg starters, which I felt very odd since in any non-veg buffet, we will take even veg-starters on the buffet menu. Since it was served onto our table, we had to adjust with only 2 non-veg starters and that too both were made of chicken. Then came noodles and fried-rice with fish and chicken gravies. We didn't even touch chicken gravy since we felt we had too much of chicken today (soup, starters, noodles, fried rice). The fish was tasty and I asked for another bowl, which was well served. Then came desserts which again is a disaster. There were 4 items for dessert - vanilla ice cream, which is as usual, two pieces of thin brownie, which was OK, 3 pieces of watermelon, which has a patch of white bottom layer, 2 pieces of papaya, which is still too raw and another sweet, which was sort of sugar coated thin vertically cut chips and was smelling of oil. I didn't even place a single piece of it in my mouth.<br/><br/>Overall not worth the price of Rs. 513 per person. Even my sister, who has come from Hyderabad, is also disappointed by this lunch
Ananya Gupta
The place, food, menu, service, ambiance, music, hospitality and everything else was just state-of-the-art. I was so glad with the whole experience that I could not control myself and went to personally thank the Manager.

The only saving grace in Yeshwanthpur! Brilliant ambience, friendly staff, and some great Chinese food. Try their sliced fish in garlic/sichwan sauce with sansui peppers. Even their clay pot chicken and general tsao's is really good. Yum!

Visited on a friday night with family<br/>Excellent visit<br/>Food is great, and service was fast and courteous! There was hardly any crowd...maybe since its relatively new<br/>Recommendations - kung pao chicken, pan fried noodles, ginger pepper fish<br/>Avoid chicken satay which is fried<br/>And yeah nice ambience too!

We had lunch there yesterday ambience is good but food was too spicy to eat buffet menu was also not good restaurant was empty may be that's the reason they r not bothered about food.therecwere too much of black pepper in everything.with noodles they served me two veges that too also same veges in two gravy one with full pepper who would like to eat same veges in two curry.menu was too bad.eould not like to go there again.they were not ready to change even after requesting them.only soup and sweet dish was good.

This place is one of the finest restaurants in this area.<br/>Whenever I've been here , never have I left the restaurant in disappointment.<br/>The ambience is damn nice , and with the pleasant traditional Chinese tunes playing in the background , you get the feel of a typical Chinese dining experience.<br/>Coming to their food ; the food is very commendable and does absolute justice to its pricing.<br/>There is ample seating arrangement and thus at any given point of time the place is sufficiently large to accommodate quiet a number of people.<br/>The staff are very courteous and they too don't give any reason for any sort of complaints.<br/>This place has always remained one of my favorites when it comes to Chinese cravings and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.<br/><br/>Food - 4/5<br/>Value for money - 4/5<br/>Ambience - 4/5

Had been to red sun today. It was a good choice finally.<br/>A regular visitor to uppumunchi and this Chinese flavour is just above uppumunchi and shivbhoj under same umbrella.<br/>Good interiors will make you will Chinese restaurants outside India.<br/>Coming to food, all were good and staff was very helpful.<br/>Bill was also OK.<br/>Regular option is OK for 2

This place is located just opposite to Vivanta by Taj near Yeshvantpur. First of all I would like to mention that this place has a huge seating capacity and beautifully decorated, though mostly vacant. Its a silent and a very calm restuarant. So the ambience is pretty good for a family dining experience.<br/>Now lets talk about the food. They serve mainly authentic chinese food, and to say honestly the food was really good. The chicken dishes, soups , dimsum, noodles were very good. On a special note: the bamboo chicken was just awesome. Also the quantity of food and pricing is decent. Overall its a nice place for chinese dinner.

Good place, didnt saw before being on main road, but saw the reviews on zomato and thought to try.<br/><br/>We ordered American chopsuey and chilly potato's,.food is good service is a bit bad.the waiters doesn't understand and treat important what you tell them.<br/>But as it's nearby and good ambience so don't mind again or ordering for a Chinese mood.

The Oriental feel of the place with the red and black interiors and the music sets a high expectation as soon as u enter.. However, the place didn't quite live up to what I'd expected..<br/><br/>Ordered eight treasure chicken soup and keongs chili chicken for starters.. Both tasted good, but the service was a bit of a disappointment, cuz they took really long to serve.. The main course was a complete let down..! 😕 Thai green chicken curry with rice was what we ordered.. The rice was smelling so good but the curry was aweful.. It didn't look green in the first place, it was just cream color with a pinch of liiiiggghhhtttt green... And it tasted like coconut curry with no other flavour in it... <br/><br/>One more problem was the AC.. The temperature was set so low that i was literally freezing, and the food tasted like its straight out of the refrigerator! We asked them to increase the temperature, however it didn't help much cuz i don't think they increased it enough to maintain the optimum temperature..<br/><br/>Food - 3/5<br/>Ambience - 3.5/5<br/>Vfm - 4/5<br/>Hygiene - 4/5<br/>Service - 2.5/5

Good Place, good food and good service.  My family enjoyed all our parties there. Value for money place. The only improvement can be approach and parking. (especially when it rains)

This place was a total discovery! We had ordered staters- crispy corn chilli pepper, chicken suimui, tom yam goong soup and chef suggested main course- Tsing Hui chicken gravy, fried rice, mix veg chef special, dessert-brownie sizzler and chocolate rolls. Everything we ordered was super delicious. We were wondering how did we miss this place may be this place gets overshadowed because of other restaurants in the same buildings but this is must visit place if you love Chinese food. Ambiance adds to the taste and very well trained and helpful @staff.
Shraavya Ajila
Ordered the Kung pao chicken for starters, Veg Hakka noodle & Chicken basil in clay pot for main course. It's a great ambience but the servers don't serve equal proportion to each person on the table which is something they need to work upon.

I loved this place! Another highlight! If you're craving for Chinese, this is the place to be! The décor, ambience, service, food! Everything was great! And the price is pretty reasonable as well! A must visit! Debalina Basu

Everything about this place is amazing! We went into this place craving for some authentic Chinese food and came out completely satisfied with what we were served. Oh and the interiors and the music made you feel like you were in China itself. We were really impressed. It's a must try for Chinese food lovers. The quantity of the food is very good and satisfying. We ordered two starters(baby corn chilli & Keongs Chi chicken) and two main course dishes(Chicken Pad Thai and Veg Pan fried noodles ). Loved it all! And you get beer and cocktails served at your table :P icing on the cake, no? ;)<br/><br/>Love,<br/>MYD!

"Love at first sight" is what happened when I saw this place.. amazing ambiance! Great place to dine.. Order for the evening: Eight treasure veg soup, Crispy corn chilli pepper, Vegetable pepper salt, Veg fried rice n Exotic mushroom in ginger wine sauce... The soup had a thick body and good mix of flavours.. both the starters were crispy n tempty.. fried rice was much better than any of the Chinese outlets.. mushroom main course was wow! With 3types of plenty mushrooms made it a lovely dish.. the only thing our disappointment was Druk beer mentioned on Menu wasn't available.. just seeing that on Menu brought all the memories of Bhutan.. hope it's made available soon!! :)<br/>This place is a definite visit one..<br/>Prathima Makam Pranav Mutalik

This is one of the places I visited after looking at the ratings in zomato and I was definitely awestruck by the ambience and spaciousness. The food that we ordered then was good too. <br/>And that is the reason why we wished to revisit the place. But this time, we went for the buffet. Horrible would be the least derogatory word to say. Each and every item (except the dumplings: those were the best) was inedible. <br/>All in all, this is a very good place to dine, but let me warn you not to go for the buffet. <br/>Another good thing that i personally like about this place (or any restaurant/bar for that matter) is that they don't put any glaringly loud music.
Eshwar Thai
Good food and very affordable. What else do you need? Ambience is very good especially considering it is in yeshwantpur. <br/>If you change your mind once you reach here, you can always go to uppumunchi which is awesome and in the same building.

Red Sun has created an authentic Chinese atmosphere for Chinese cuisine lovers. Though there are not many options for vegetarians, whatever they serve is going to be liked!<br/>There is an ice cream roll on the menu which will give a memorable end to your food journey at this place.<br/>It was a wonderful experience here at Red Sun.<br/>Keep hopping!

I love the food at Red Sun! I can eat there everyday! My favorites are Tofu Hunan style, Basil Dumpling,  Tofu Panang curry and their sizzling brownie. Yum!

Truly awesome place located on the main road next to metro station. The ambience is like 5 star and food is quite cheap. The best Chinese hot and sour soup I have tried here. They have Thai alsoand we tried thai starters, konjee crispy lamb, etc which was all very tasty. Must try the fragrant pot rice and Bangkok phad Thai. Great food at affordable prices and is a must try. We will visit again for buffet lunch.

An absolute delight to have walked in on a special day and to add it was Chinese New year and they had a special menu for the occasion. What a wonderful feel when u walk into this wonderful place, feels like you entered China Town. The wow factor doesn't stop, for they serve authentic Chinese food. Hospitality at its best ensured. You'll be glad you stepped into one of the best places to make sure your chinese cuisine cravings are attended to.

Walked in on a rainy Monday night and was surprised to see the place empty. It is tastefully decorated like a mini Chinese village. I was conveniently given a table by the window and the captain was delightful enough to go through the menu with me. I ordered sweet corn soup,a lamb dish, spicy noodles, virgin piña colada and chocolate rolls for dessert. <br/><br/>The soup was not very thick but it was tasty<br/>I could get wafts of the lovely ginger aroma from the lamb even before it reached the table- all the better to increase salivation for heightened palatability<br/>The noodles had the right note of spiciness and it went well with the lamb which had a more subtle comfort taste<br/>The chocolate rolls were also very delicious and the mocktail had the right balance of pineapple juice<br/> and coconut.<br/>Unless you are prepared to eat up a storm, please do not order a three course meal like I did as they serve very large portions. But like most restaurants in Bangalore, they were kind enough to parcel the left overs as take away.<br/><br/>The dining experience there was the perfect ending to a boring Monday. Can't wait to show off this place to my friends

Was looking out for places to have lunch and this place came up, so me and two others decided to drive to it since it was nearby and had a rating of 4.2!<br/>As we reached we had to park the car, there was ample parking space available, but the access to it is a bit bad, the road is a bit narrow and has one big undulation which if not taken cautiously can scrape any cars underbelly except SUV's.<br/>Once we entered the restaurant on the second floor we were just awestruck by the ambience of this place, the interiors are designed in such a way that you find Chinese in each and everything that you can see around you. And apart from this there is this subtle music which echoes in the background that is pleasing. <br/>Now coming to the business end, the FOOD!<br/>We opted for a non-veg buffet and the menu is not short nor long, but adequate never the less. And everything from the beginning till the end tasted really good!<br/>The staff are very courteous which adds to the overall experience.<br/>Overall it was such a good experience and noting that I found faulty except the below average access to the parking lot, other than that it's a good place and would recommend it for anyone looking for a good lunch buffet which is easy on the pocket! <br/>Cheers!

Located bang opposite to vivanta yeshwantpur is a beautifully decorated Chinese restaurant. The ambience is beautiful and the staff there are great. The food is what you would expect, ie good at the given price. The only concern I had was that there was no valet service.. And since it was raining, I had to walk all across a puddle filled field... Dirty my shoes... <br/>Apart from that the food was good. We ordered a lamb dimsum which we were informed would be pan seared but I would have personally loved it if it would have been completely steamed, and a portion of honey potatoes which were nice and crispy. In mains we had a whole bhetki, cubed and fridge and served in a nice mildly spicy sauce and also a mushroom dish. <br/>What I loved most of all in the food was the desert. We had brownies and honey noodles both of which were delicious. <br/>Overall it was a good experience and if you wanna just spend some time with friends this is a good place to go...

Three of us visited on 20/07/2016 for a buffet lunch. Restaurant was absolutely empty at 1 pm.  We were given to understand buffet will be provided & menu was read out by a waiter. But food was not laid out. However, they would serve on the table, funny buffet. We had no choice. Waiters are not trained & slow in service. It is difficult to comprehend what they say you. Otherwise ambiance was good, spacious, neat & clean. Food quality was OK. Management should refrain from publicising  about buffet it amounts to cheating.

Reading  the zomato reviews i went to this place with my hubby as he is a big lover of Chinese food.<br/>the ambiance in here is typical like Chinese interior atmosphere felt like the once i use to see in the Chinese movies.<br/>Nice well planned interiors  to add to this was the amazing yummy food :)Loved the fried rice as it was yum ,,fresh and also well spiced.Advantage of this place is it was less crowed and you can have a nice time enjoying your food and listening to some Chinese music:)Would recommend this place to Chinese food lovers :)

Food 3/5<br/>Ambience 5/5.<br/><br/>Need to improve on the food taste. The veg momos specially were not good. Thai red curry was very spicy.<br/><br/>Ambience is very good.

A very big sorry to my fellow reviewers out here because I'm about to share a completely opp opinion about this place from all of you here. I obviously went to this place after reading the never ending praises of this place on zomato. But, it was an awful experience. Everything about this place, ambience, service, parking facility, was good, except the food. The food is so bad I can't imagine going there again. Here's a list of "don't ever order": <br/>Manchow soup, eight treasure soup, jiangs chilli chicken, Wok Tossed hunan style rice. <br/>Here is the "reason why": <br/>Manchow soup had a deep pungent taste of burnt sesame oil, really bad that it makes you frown at the soup. Eight treasure soup was more like a veggie thick broth, jiangs chilli chicken was bland and not spicy at all, Wok Tossed hunan style rice had BASMATI RICE! Who uses Basmati in Indo Chinese cooking! There is a special rice available in the market called "Jeera Rice" which is used, which I presume the chef is not aware of. I have noticed the usage of basmati rice in Chinese cooking in the north of India and its not even one inch to tasting good. <br/>Here's a list of "safe orders" (I won't say must order because nothing here was different from other Chinese restaurants): <br/>Prawn Har Gau and Crispy Prawn in Plum sauce. Although the Prawn Har Gau would have tasted a whole lot better with some sweet chilli (yes, there was no sweet chilli!). <br/>Overall: <br/>Ambience 5/5<br/>Service 4/5<br/>FOOOD 1/5 <br/>Will I go there again? NOPE.

Yayy, kept myself all geared up for this review.<br/><br/>First of all, what beautiful décor. It's like walking into China Town. Flavours of red and oriental is so visible in the place, that it just adds to the experience. Red Sun is one of the restaurants owned by the group and all of them are located in this one building in Yeshwantpur. Parking is provided, which is a great bonus since the area is almost always jam packed.<br/><br/>The food was great. I really enjoyed every part of it, and service was prompt. It was empty by the time we entered, but we had been ridiculously late for lunch that day.<br/><br/>The fare isn't that expensive, but quite worth the quality and quantity that they served. I would lovr to get here again, but it's so far out of my area zone that I'm worried I never may. Fingers crossed for a return!

Mesmerizing ambience and delicious food, wonderful experience. The restaurant is actually not easily visible but the food is really good much better than many Chinese restaurants in the city !!! The food here is just delicious. Must say one of the finest restaurants in Bangalore. I shall definitely going to visit this place again. The BBQ grilled chicken is the best for starters. Go with all meat noodles or rice with a pot gravy to complement. They have a bar. And quite a large variety of drinks.

An exemplary glorifying ambience with traditional chinese decor is something very soothing to the eyes. The place is spacious and less crowdy giving you a calm and peaceful place for dining . And then talking about the food , crackling spinach and indonesian spring rolls are the ones you will never regret paying for . But if you are a veggie (like me) ,you won't get many options to play around with ( Definetely a better place for a non vegeterian). And then in desserts the chocolate brownie fudge is something served in a very unique way and tastes way better than delicious !!! And the waiters are  polite and service is quick making it overall a good place to hang out with your friends .Gouri Patil

A perfect chinese joint. Rather its much more than 'the joint'. It's an authentic chinese and Oriental restaurant. Food was amazingly good. Perfect combination of crispiness and softness wherever required. Thai curry was super excellent. <br/><br/>Place is much quieter and you get quality time to spend with your near ones along with some really quality food. <br/><br/>Food 4.5, service 4.5, ambiance 4.8. Overall 4.5. Will be visiting over and again.

Red Sun is relatively a newbie in the circuit but boy oh boy what a 'grand' entry! Nestled just behind the metro station, it has a charming look as it's perfectly designed to go with its name ; red and red. Ambience is surely enchanting with a very native Chinese look and so is the music. Well as for the food, it's lot better than many other Chinese restaurants in the city and their non veg menu is really worth a try if you're one of them. As for veggies, not many options available but the starters cracking spinach and Indonesian spring rolls were just so irresistible. One thing which really stood out was their sauteed lobster which was just so yum. Another must try is their chocolate brownie fudge with vanilla ice cream.( it's served in a unique way unlike one normally finds in other places ) . The staff was very courteous and the dishes decently priced. Food is a bit on a spicier side and well then which Thai food isn't ?! Overall had a nice experience as the hotel isn't much crowded and hence a nice place to hangout on a peaceful evening.

Like the name of the restaurant – red sun. Was here with my friends for lunch the non veg found the price very reasonable for the good portion meal. Had a nice satisfactory meal.

Very neat restaurant with less cross and attentive, courteous service. The ambience is good, colorful with tables we'll placed out. They serve tasty Chinese cuisine at quite reasonable prices.

Never expected such nice restaurant in the area like Yesvantpur. A must visit place if you are staying near by and worth visiting from far end as well. Very nice ambience with polite and decent staff. Good collections of Asian dishes. And ultimately its a value for money.

First of all its a must say about ambiance.<br/>Definitely it's a 5/5.<br/>Had a walk in for a Sunday dinner.<br/>The place was less crowded and had lot of tables to choose.<br/>I likeed a round table and choose it.<br/>The Chinese music is very much suitable for the ambience.<br/>Since we had a starter from the restaurant below - Upper moonji we had only less space for starter<br/><br/>One of the best in class ambience in the city. I was so happy with the quality of food.<br/><br/>The place has a good variety of Chinese and Thai dishes.<br/><br/>I liked the Bamboo chicken and the chicken fry wontons. Fried rice was made to perfection.<br/><br/>And then comes the show stopper Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla ice-cream served like a sizzler by pouring chocolate syrup. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Over all I like the experience and would visit again to try more different stuffs.<br/><br/>Ambiance 9/10<br/><br/>Quality /Taste of food 8/10<br/><br/>Value for money 7/10<br/><br/> <br/><br/>

The inside beauty was so good, it appears like we are in china.!'<br/>But the number of people was very less inside the restaurant. we are four people started dinner at 6:45 pm and ended at 8:30 pm. We are not found any booked table till the time, which shows the marketing is poor.<br/>Again The taste was amazing and the service is too good and also we enjoyed the dinner.<br/>Thank you to the hole team who served us.<br/>Best of Luck !!..<br/>I am very sure that , I will be visiting again for the good taste with another couple of my friends together to enjoy the dinner at China!..

Must say one of the finest restaurants in Bangalore. I shall definitely going to visit this place again.

Overall I give this rating but there are some avenues which can definitely be improved. <br/>Chinese is good, different from most of joints, taste wise unique. We went for the weekday buffet which was the mistake (I guess).<br/>Ambiance of the place is superb with Chinese decor. The food is also very tasty. We tried Chicken Manchow soup, dimsums, chicken fried rice, fish schezuan.. <br/><br/>Although buffet time was till 3:30 and we reached @2, still the salads were finished and were never replenished. The main course was getting replenished though at regular intervals. In Deserts the ice cream has melted totally as a result its more like milk and taste less, the same should be replaced but no action. When asked, they told that a big group came hence the confusion. I guess with a 4.2 rating in zomato, its a bad excuse. <br/><br/>Then the service, its very very slow. My main course dish was never removed from the table, I had to keep it on another side so that I can continue with deserts, not acceptable. <br/><br/>Given the price some more items in main course, deserts can be added. <br/><br/>Not totally happy but as the food is really good, I will definitely visit again for ala carte menu. Not recommended for late buffet.

The ambiance is that of a typical Chinese restaurant but slightly better. The buffet is priced very low and is totally worth it. They offer a good delicious filling meal. The service is good.

Very good ambience and excellent service. Only disappointing was the quality of the dumplings. The juicy lamb dumplings weren't juicy. Will visit again.

The most authentic Chinese food I've had in Bangalore.<br/><br/>The BBQ grilled chicken is the best for starters.<br/><br/>Go with all meat noodles or rice with a pot gravy to complement.<br/><br/>They have a bar. And quite a large variety of drinks.<br/><br/>It's a bit costly but definitely worth it.<br/><br/>The ambience is amazing and any person will fall in love with it.

This place was a delight. I was simply amazed looking at the ambience. The place is beautiful with beautiful details. The staff was very friendly. We visited this place during the Chinese New Year and they had a special menu. The food was very very delicious. And to add to it, it didn't make a hole in my pocket. It was a wonderful experience overall and I would definitely visit here again.

Went to the red sun with my friends after our plans fell through of going someplace else, and i am glad it did cause it's one hell of a place to hangout. We were too casually dress but they didn't hassle us. The ambience was spot on...<br/>The food and the service is great. Waiters and managers were constantly visiting our table...<br/>Customer feedback is important and they know it....<br/>Now on to the main point..<br/>The food was outstanding. I especially liked it. One of my friends didn't like what she picked put hey to each their own...<br/>She liked the desert. (Sizzling Brownie with vanilla ice cream)<br/>I'll have to rate the food 4/5<br/>Service 3.5/5<br/>Ambience 5/5<br/>Variety 4/5<br/>And<br/>Total of 4/5<br/>The place is a must if you like Chinese food..<br/>And well a great place to hang.<br/>And they do serve alcohol. 😋

Amazing food and Great Ambiance ! <br/>We really loved our experience at Red Sun. The menu was extensive and had a good number of vegetarian choices as well. A special mention to the vegetarian dumpling...just loved it. The service was great as well. Looking forward to visiting again!

Wish to visit again. For the love of Chinese food!! Great ambience. Lovely staff. I remember one of the staff member playing guitar and singing in the birthday party held there. That was so cute and sweet.

To start with, The ambience of this place is mesmerizing along with the soothing music, it makes the dining a wonderful experience. Then comes the amazing food, doesn't have a lot of options but whatever they serve is authentic Chinese and very tasty. Loved the service, great hospitality, fast service, lovely people...keep it up !!<br/>And I would like to add, its a very peaceful place, unlike too much noise and commotion which other places cause in the name of birthday celebration etc.<br/>I would definitely recommend this place to everyone :-D

One of the finest restaurants I've been to in recent times! 100% authentic Chinese Food. Heaven for the lovers of Chinese Food. Right from the ambience, Interiors, Music, Their Uniform to everything was so Chinese, Thank god they dint speak up Chinese though ;p<br/>Since the location is pretty odd, It is also a perfect place for Couples to have a wonderful date after a long drive! It is exactly opposite to TAJ Vivanta, Yeshwantapur, so you don't have to put the map and all.

Wow!! Red Sun was an excellent experience..oriental Chinese ambience, good staff and some great food..lamb dim sums with black bean sauce is a must try if you crave flavor blast in mouth. Wok tossed lamb, shredded lamb fried rice and lamb in hot pepper sauce are best in Bangalore.

i think these 5 stars that i have given has got to do more with the ambience. the interiors are well done and gives you a good feel when you dine in here. <br/>the food is good and the recommendations given by the waiter was just perfect for us. Barring just one dish that we had ordered, i guess everything else was good.
