Review Chetty's Corner - Bengaluru

Visited the place after almost 18 years. Thrilling experience and it took me back to my pre university days (2002-2004) where Chetty's Corner used to be our regular Joint. Pure Nostalgia. What is more shocking is the food quality is exactly the same. Thank you for your generosity Achuthanand PK, I wish you all the very best and hope you keep the store active forever.

This place is known to serve Western food in desi style. Run by Vinod Kumar and Anil Kumar who are dedicated to serve some lip smacking snacks. And, they have multiple outlets across Bangalore. Although we didn't try their signature dishes like burgers, bun nippattus, twisters, etc., we ordered silver wraps, Nutella sandwich and masala cold. A must try place if you're around there. You will find the place crowded but the service is really quick.

I have been coming here since the last 12 years. This is by far the best snack joint in the city. They created the potato twistato and this desi burger called bun nippat. It's my go to place in the evenings and on holidays. Over the years theyve introduced more items on the menu and each one of it are a hit. Must visit place when in Bangalore

What a nostalgic place this one is❤️ I totally enjoyed every bit of what I tasted!! The Bengaluru bun, made with nippattu is absolute must try. Loved the banana fries, and bun butter gulkand. The boat pizza gives all the nostalgic vibes, and tastes heavenly. This is definitely a must try!!

Chetty’s Corner , Kumara Park , Bengaluru :) . . The place has grown leaps and bounds from when I have seen it :) This has been our childhood favourite place :) The BUN NIPPAT Cheese is the best ever snack :) It’s like desi version of burger and it is the best:) TWISTATO is another invention by them in Bengaluru:) It’s the best here and no one has able to replicate the same anywhere :) The CRUSHED NIPPAT Masala is very delicious:) Not to forget the MASALA COLD DRINKS are a must try :) .

Love this place , I have been going here for years. He has maintained the taste. Must tries in this place : choice of bun butter nut/nippat/... , Twistato(twisted potato fries), masala coke/Pepsi/sprite. You have to stand on the footpath and eat, but snacks that good is ok.also you can check with him what is new, he keeps coming up with new stuff quite often.

True Indian burger is the nippat bun cheese a perfect combination with some chutney and onions I love this delicacy and their twistatos is also a must try …..

I had gone to Chetty's corner on their 25th Anniversary. It was a great experience overall. The owners are really sweet. I had tried their famous Masala Nippat and mix veg cheese nachos. Both were amazing.

Tried tandoori cheese twistato among the many options available, peri peri vip and Veg loaded nachos. All were tasty. They claim that, they are pioneers in twistato. It was thin, crispy and very tasty. Must try.

Great items In my school days I used to have bun masala at 5 rs but now it's 50 rs. Bit costly but taste same as during those days. Like the snack very much can have 2 - 3 Bun masala at a go.

This chain of Chetty's Corner outlet is located in KumarPark wesk and its next to Gull's chat, its opposite to Kumara Park west. I have been visiting this place from my school days, close to 14 to 15 years and there is a parking facility available at the roadside for both 2 wheeler & 4 wheeler.<br/>there is no seating arrangements available at this store, look wise it is a medium sized shop. Best place to hang out with Friends, Colleagues any time of the day in the week/weekend and it is most often crowded with college students. Since they like more of chats and fast foods. This is small eatery on the street near the college, this place serves the fast food snacks and has the good twistato with different flavours, my personal favourite is peri peri. I also like the pizza sandwich, combo of both pizza and sandwich and it's pretty good. They also serve decent burgers. Do try the twistato here

Another old joint which disappointed for being a customer for more than 20yrs. Was here on the same day i visited gullus on eid. Anyone who visit chetty will visit Gullu's n visa versa. The lady at the counter is too old to even for us to argu. She has hardly any patience to listen, and to remember. I ordered for bun masala wgich is rs. 35 and i was given nippat masala priced the same. On top of it she argues saying no u ordered for nippat masala. N all she wants is money flowing in. N such fatly chopped onions, n horribly made nippat masala i had to forcefully eat. For my luck masala coke remains intact in taste, dont know when they would spoil that also. N there was hardly any customer's at the store for her to even getting worked up. After paying i definitely do not wanna take shit. So, GOOD BYE to Chettys corner also. I do not wanna trouble you anymore.

Great variety of snacks like sandwiches, pizzas, chats, twistatos, buns etc. lot of crowds during evening weekends. Must try the many twistatos flavours and the Gulkand Bun. No tables around to grab a bite peacefully.

Don buy any pizzas here I paid 133 n ordered a pizza it was yuck n I ordered swt corn n vegetable pizza bt der was not even a single swt corn found here better go n ve in Malleswaram 8th cross better den dis pizza for just 30rupees n its size was just de size of ua arm

I'm a fan of the bun nippat with cheese at this place. Such a fun snack to have during the evenings. I love the small little fresh pizza's they offer and my favorite ones are chilli cheese, mix vegetable chilli and mix vegetable with paprika pizza's. For the best potato twistatos head to Chetty's as they make it so well and also have a number of flavors for the same. My favorite go-to place for an evening snack.

This is the legendary outlet of chetty, the first one in bangalore. Bun nippat cheese is a must try, excellent south indian version of a burger.<br/>Twistatos are also really good here.<br/>Masala thumps up is fabulous.

Very old snacks corner which still maintains the taste and it's customers the same way. It is located near Sheshadripuram college in Kumara Park. It is famous for it's lip smacking Bun Nippat Masala and it's varieties along with a Masala Coke :D They do have several chats and snack items . Good place for short eats at reasonable place. I have added a pic of the menu for reference. Always crowded later in the evening and weekends for sure. There is no place to sit, need to stand on the footpath, near the park opposite, or on the road. They do have several cashless payment options. Chetty's twistato is the first of its kind and the first place to serve twistato. A brief histoy pic at the corner gives a cool flashback.

I have ordered twice on zomato online from this place. Some of their food is exceptional at the given price point. Their veg pizza and masala twistato are very tasty. However I didn't really like their bhel and nippat burger. They should introduce more cheese based, potato based items and chaat items. And if somehow food can be delivered hot and fast. Zomato delivery very often provides delayed delivery. By the time it reaches me, it is stone cold.

I had ordered veg grilled sandwich veg pizza and burger but we got the sandwich with no veg and Only cheese... Upon that no sauce sachets delivered with sandwich and pizza and burger... Not as per expectations

It's always crowded place in seshadripuram. It's famous for twistato and are very cheap n affordable prices. The pizzas start from 50₹ very cheap. We tried burger nippat n twistato both were ok not great. I would recommend all if you want to try crispy twistato.

Small, inexpensive place, but you'll be surprised at the amount of brisk business they do. Their twister fries and bun gulkand are great, as is the sandwiches.

Firstly I loved the potato TWISTATO ..Which was Really New For me ....I loved the Taste n the Experience of TWISTATO ..I Tasted Two Variety of TWISTATO - Cheese n Peri Peri ..Both were Awesome ,not much of Taste Difference Between Both the TWISTATO , Secondly the Boat Pizza ..The Base of That was Really Soft ,and Fillings of cheese n Pizza Made it More Tastier. We even Tasted Bun Nippat ,Which was Something Different ,Like it Tasted Sweet n Spicy.. . A Place really small ,you Have to Stand and Eat ,but Serving Good Food with Varieties and Not Gonna make a Hole in your Pocket . Definitely on my Recommendation..

We had heard a lot about Chetty's Corner, from friends who have been visiting here since years. Though this place has been around for decades now, we never had a chance to visit until recently. Sadly, it turned out to be a huge disappointment - the establishment, the food, et al.<br/><br/>We ordered a Plain Potato Twistato, which was hard and chewy and not great in taste. The Bun Nippat Masala (one of the signature dishes here) was just average - I've had way better Bun Masala off streetside carts. We didn't fare any better with the Bhel Poori we ordered next - it was seriously lacking in flavour, very average. The Masala Soft Drink we had here was decent.<br/><br/>The place was not very crowded when we visited, but it took ages for our orders to get handed over to us. The kitchen staff and the management were fighting constantly - not a pleasant sight for any customer to see. From the looks of it, this seemed to be a regular affair - both parties trying to score points over the other.<br/><br/>Prices are quite high as compared to other chaat/snack places in the area. I wonder if the place is all about pure nostalgia now, and no real substance.

Chetty’s is a good place to grab short eats every once a while. And if you wanna carb overload, then you must definitely try the Twistatoes with cheese, they are so addictive. I also like their simple burgers and pizza sandwiches.

I’ve visited Chetty’s a couple of times and the foods pretty good, love the mixed vegetable pizza sandwich, that’s probably my fave there. The twistado is pretty good as well, not a huge fan of the nipat bun though.

I had been to chetty's corner yesterday with my family. First we took bun nipat cheese masala . It was good . Magic boat was something different which I liked the most. Bun masala was nice. Moong dal masala was very good and I loved it. French fries and Twistato was awesome as usual. We also too baby corn pizza and pineapple chilly cheese. It was too yummy. Garlic bread was good too. And I tried cup cake for the first time it was too good. Finally ended with sweet Sugarcane juice. Anu Thimmappa

Actually we got 1k coupons for their 19th anniversary.<br/>We had pain puri pizza, boat pizza,kulja sim sim, masala coke, twistato etc..,the pizzas were so good everyone should check out this place but only disadvantage is seating availability. We can't sit and have food peacefully.

Searched for a nearby restaurant with 3.5+ ratings and we came here. We tried sandwich, sadnwich pizza and the potato roll, Twistato. The potato roll was one of the best I have had till now. I was not particularly impressed with the sandwich and sandwich pizza, they didn't have much taste. This place would be recommended only for quick bites and it's light on wallet.

I ordered snacks in office. Delivery was quick. Food was great and tasty. Loved it. Within Rs. 300/- we ordered Nipaat Masala, Mix Veg Pizza, Chilly cheese Sandwich, Magic Boat and masala coke. Greta service and quality food. Looking forward to order again. :-)

I visited this place unknowing of the fact that there is no seating provided, despite reading the reviews in Zomato, which is a given for me these days especially when I'm all alone and looking to experiment with cuisines...... That didn't interfere with my experience which was rather good, and one of a kind. Tried their chilli twistatoes which provided a good start though it wasn't something to crave for. The bun nippat masala is their signature dish and it went well with my taste buds, as I said, one of a kind as even the likes of McDonald's or for that matter any major burger joints fails in certain aspects, where local chains(which is not known except the inner circle)scores, and let us hope the uniqueness prevails.

A friend of mine took me to this place.. And ever since then I have become a huge fan of this place. Luckily Chetty's corner has opened up even in Kormangala but I still prefer going all the way to sheshadripuram. I love cheese bun nippat, piri piri twistato and masala pepsi. Very pocket friendly street food place that serves great quality food. The place is always crowded during evenings almost everyday.

Great food but worst service. Their service is damn slow. Go there to eat only if you have unlimited time in your hands otherwise, don't. <br/>Their sandwiches, pizza and sandwich pizzas are great. Also, the kulfis are good. I personally don't like the bun nippats and other drinks that they serve.

This place is famous for it's Twistatos. These crispy potato bases street food is available in 3-4varieties including cheese and peri peri. It's spicy and crunchy enough to make you get addicted to it.

This place used to be great but I feel the taste is not the same. Plus there are lotta others who do what they do. Ambience wise I like it and their kitchen is clean and hygienic. Taste is ok. Service is quick like always.

Had been a Chetty's loyalist many years ago... But yesterday's visit has ensured I wouldn't go back to this place again. They've added a thousand new items on the menu, this place was famous for one thing back then n that was the "Bun nippat".. Went back after years only to have just that, and it was a complete disappointment... it tasted so ordinary... Lacked the tangy chutney or the grated carrots filling....the bun was your local chai ka bun cut in a very weird way n the green chutney was tasteless... talk about forgetting your USP...!!<br/>The staff and service cannot be missed in this review... The lady at the cash counter somehow felt she had all the rights to make people wait before they place their order while she is busy talking on the phone... Orders were being forgotten, n there was utter chaos in the kitchen... staff fighting n shouting at each other... which is very evident to all customers. Hygiene was missing completely as well. <br/><br/>Wish I could give a 0 star rating explicitly out here.... So many new Chetty's corner outlets have opened In Bangalore and India but if the one thing that they were famous for has lost its taste in its original outlet not sure what's happening in the others. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.<br/>Just hope they get improve n get their basics right for Starters...???

Gives a used Bisleri bottle to parcel masala coke... god alone knows what else goes on. I really hope they have the urge to improve and when they charge for packing .. I hope they mean it. Done this twice now. I hope they get delisted.

Hatka chatpata finger food !!<br/>My all time favourite are bun nippat cheese with their potato twistato and masala coke and you will not find these any where else.. they have been running this business for a very longtime now. Only problem is there is not seating arrangement so you need to do either a takeaway or sit in your bike/car and enjoy this food.<br/>Also, it's very crowded during the weekends.

This is a small place. But the quantity as well the quality of food it serves in that price range is simply awesome !<br/>Stopped by here for a quick snack. Ordered a twistato and a kulfi. The twistato was pretty good. The kulfi had distinct flavour. The price here is very nominal, so this place is frequented by youngsters mostly. They had a lot of items on the menu. Would love to try other items too if I'm passing by that way :)

Had heard about this place from a food festival I had attended in Aug 2015 where I tried out the amazing twistato (where they had a food stall) . Visited the this place last week only. They r like a small cafe but very famous with folks near sheshadripuram. Hence it's busy n will be a little crowded. They are able to manage the crowd and serve your order ASAP. They have very good snacks items as well. Tried bun nippat masala, Bun cheese masala and Masala Cold drink. Also had twistatos which is a must try here. <br/>

I would say please do not go to this place if you believe in something called as self respect!! This shop fellows don't care about their customers!! Went to have some snacks here as I had heard a tremendous amount about their food. But instead of calling it ''Chetty's Corner", it should be renamed as the Racist Corner.<br/><br/>I ordered masala twistato with cheese and a nippat bun.<br/><br/>The man and old woman sitting there were really fussy about taking my order. Just because I am not a South Indian, they were mocking me. I was disappointed and wasn't expecting such behaviour.<br/><br/>When the waiter asked me if I wanted the bun to be packed, I said yes. But he started cutting the bun in half and then, I told him to stop. He shouted at me and lied that I didn't tell him to pack. Even the people taking the orders took his side and started gossiping about my "bad" style of ordering. I was frustrated but didn't say anything for the sake of being the bigger person here. There were two other waiters who looked like they were from the Northeast and took my side. They told the other waiter that they heard me telling him to pack the bun. Shockingly, he screamed at them and told them that he wasn't asking for their opinions. Even when everyone kept quiet, this arrogant monstrous waiter kept shouting at me for my "late request".<br/><br/>Seeing such pathetic service, I will definitely not visit this outlet even when the food is good. The twistato as well as the nippat tasted great. But with this kind of arrogance, they have lost one customer.<br/><br/>Maybe, if they didn't differentiate between people, I would have become a regular customer. That was my first and last visit.<br/><br/>The worst experience of my life probably.

Chetty's!! Well, this is one of the very few unique places to eat in Bangalore. They make unconventional dishes taste so great that you keep asking for more. Move over McAloo, Chetty's Bun Nippat Masala is the in thing. Coke float? That's BS, try Masala Soda and feel the real thing.<br/><br/>Twistato tastes really well.<br/><br/>What is bad here? Orders take more time to arrive if it's weekend or holidays. Parking space is a hassle too.

The Bun Nippat is very dry, it's the one thing they are popular for. Honestly, not a huge fan of it. The Twistato, Masala Coke, Pizza Sandwich and Sandwiches on the other hand are very tasty. There is no seating for the customers which is okay.

Best place to grab a quick bite. You can't come here and not try the Bun Cheese Nippat, the Twistato and the Masala Coke. The place is jam packed in the evenings, might easily take ~30 mins to get your order but the food is totally worth the wait!

You can't go wrong with this one!,Bun Neepat Cheese, Twistato,masala cokes. <br/>Sandwiches and pizzas (pls guys there are better place for that ). <br/>The twistato at times gets fried too much with ruins it. <br/>Things to be pointed out are ,  <br/>Even though they always have a floating crowd they crib for change which is not cool and offer you orbits and gone mad wafers instead . <br/>They are not at all generous with their Tissues! like seriously stingy to the core .

U move towards malleshwaram one dish 'chats' stops u ! Yeah chettys corner a pitstop like thing to ur spicy toungue.As usaul took a twistato their benchmark dish and justtt relished it ! 🍢 U start eating u just forget the thing beside you ! I recommend all the ppl to have these dishes near by "Chettys Corner"😁

Every time I visited felt awesome :) Twistato with masala Coke combination is awesome. Rate is not much high its within your wallet. <br/>Small outlet do not have place to sit please make sitting arrangement.

I have only ordered twistato from Chetty's but I've lost count on the number of times I must have ordered it. You literally feel like eating away the stick and your fingers by the end of it and still crave for more.😍<br/>You have to and have to try the twistato!!<br/><br/>PS: excuse my camera quality. On my stopover in Bangalore, my relative's took me here for a quick bite before my flight back home. This place was super crowded with everyone looking for a bite of Nippat. My relatives ordered Bun Nippat and Nippat Masala chat for us to get the street style feel of South India. <br/><br/>Since queue was long, we had to wait for our Nippat to come and in the meantime, we started eating Twistato Masala flavor. Both the Bun Nippat and Nippat Chat were nice, the patty was crispy and chat reminded me of Sev puri of Mumbai street food. With such street food, you will think of something to eat, so don't forget to try their Masala Coke. Standard coke with a twist of Masala.<br/><br/>Lovely place and completely different experience of trying South Indian chat! Must try!

I visited Bangalore during my summer vacation. I was hoping to eat something new here, was surfing the internet. Got to know about chetty's corner. I went there and ordered nippat bun and twistato with masala coke and i need to say it was purely divine. The concept of nippat bun is so easy still it was delicious. But the twistato was the thing i was waiting for and the wait was worth it. The most unique thing i have ever had. The owner also met us and he was very friendly with us. All in all now whenever i visit bangalore again, i will make it sure to go here again.

Perfectly melted cheese interleaved with tangy pizza sauce and cooked veggies enclosed within the perfectly grilled circular bread. (Yes, we have intentionally used the word "perfect" in abundance)<br/><br/>ii) Bun Nippat Burger: 4.5/5 - Another unthinkable combination. A must try. You take a tasty burger, subtract the patty and add nippat! A great combination. Definitely a must try.<br/><br/>Will return to taste the recommended Twistato and Masala beverages. Thumbs up for innovation!
