Review God's Own Cafe - Bengaluru

One of the best places for malabar cuisine in bangalore. Operating in a bungalow, this place doesn't look like your regular restaurant from outside. The ambiance is very simple and traditional. The food is amazing, we tried a couple of dishes prawns ghee roast, beef fry, chicken curry and rice and everything was so delicious and homely. Portion sizes are good and pricing is reasonable too. Friendly service, great food in a homely atmosphere. Ambiance - 5/5 Service - 4/5 Food Quality/ Presentation - 5/5 Taste - 5/5 Portion size - 4.5/5 Value for money - 5/5

I loved the ambiance as this restaurant is run within a house by an elderly couple. And the house is surrounded by lots of trees and plants. I visited this restaurant last month with my friends. We ordered parotta, chicken ghee roast, fish fry, and boiled rice. They also serve beef, but they stopped it temporarily. All the dishes that we ordered were yummy. They served payasam and buttermilk as complimentary. We finished with a hot cup of kerala chai.

While you may have to wait for sometime to get a place to sit(on the ground floor) and to get served(the service is slow- have to say that), the food out here is quite good. My friends and i visited this place for lunch and we had the fish curry meals( worth it) along with a praws roast, beef roast and anchovy fry. i should mention that the fish here is fresh and tasty. Overall i would definitely visit this place again for the food. Worth it.

We visited God's own cafe at Koramangala in April 2023. It was an unplanned visit and we were just walking by and we noticed the place. The restaurant has a very homely atmosphere and it's run in a similar fashion. We were told the available items and were also helped with suggestions to order our food. We tried fish curry meals , chicken stew, appam and beef roast. Every dish was great and the food was very homely, not overly spicy or oily. The beef roast was very well cooked. They served each person a portion of buttermilk and payasam too.

Finally! AUTHENTIC kerala meals n side dishes! That's all I'm gonna say! You have to try it! Loving it!

One of the best appams I have had in this city! Limited menu but really good preparations. Ordered chicken stew, chicken roast and prawns roast. Authentic flavours and value for money. They also have half plate concept so you can try multiple dishes like we did. Only thing is wait time for the food to arrive is a lot so its suggested that whatever you want to order, do it all at one go.

Had lunch- Kerala meals with fish and beef fry. The food is delicious and the service is extremely good. The people are very friendly and it is like having food in your own dining room.
B.S Anoop (Naturestrail Getaways)
This is more like eating at a home in Kerala than at a restaurant. The people running it are super friendly. And the food also tastes very home like. The buttermilk there is to yum also the Kerala style rasam . Well I was enjoying their seer fish fry with yummy prawans curry with boil rice and appla. Will the space is not much big you have limited space in the ground floor. And lunch time you have little difficult to find space . And you will miss on Appam as they cook in the evening from 7.30 to 10 .00 PM . It's was a great experience I will definitely recommend people who love to try pure Kerala homely food while they are around Koramangala.

A warm welcome to a homely atmosphere was the first thing we noticed when we entered. A simple, but homely ambience that gives the pleasure of being home and the smiles in their faces when they serve food reminds us of being home, sitting relaxed and enjoying the tastey food. Excellent & yummy food is mouthwatering and it makes us crave for more & more. Thank you for starting such a venture and wish you all success to make it a big one...Hope that the same quality of the food and the neatness of the place will also be maintained. To all who crave for Yummy Kerala food and who wish to have a homely feeling should definitely visit 'God's Own Cafe' !!

Had super awesome prawn ghee roast with appum along with Chicken stew and chicken ghee roast. Must try for foodie and non-veg lover.

Wanted to have fish curry tonight, but I think I have to sleep hungry. The portion of fish is so so small that you literally have to search for it. Pathetic quantity . Come on how can you serve such a small quantity. Have a heart . Serve well.

Will not order again.
Dont order.

The food was really amazing. Had beef roast, beef curry, parotta and puttu. The pazham pori (banana fry) and payasam which were complimentary was also yummy. Everything we ate had an authentic Kerala flavor to it. Price was slightly on the higher side but was totally worth it.
Ahneesh Pujari
Lovely place run by lovely people. Meals are awesome.
Kavya Radhakrishnan
This is a go to place for anyone who loves Malayali non veg food. Have tried the appam stew, roasts and puttu which were all simply lip smacking. In short it’s an ADIPOLLI place for foodies.

It's a hidden gem. The curries are very flavourful and fish fry was really good. I loved the thali. Great place for home cooked authentic Kerala food. Quick service, very courteous staff and amazing food. Highly recommend.

Absolutely smashing food, I'm at a lost of words to describe the food I've eaten, pocket friendly, wonderful service and I have to mention again AMAZING FOOD. Definitely visiting again.

The Fish curry is heavenly and although the service takes a bit of time, you get fresh and tasty stuff. Do do try the fish curry meals and their tasty af Sambharam

We had gone there earlier, and had loved the food there and had given a 5 star too. But today was disappointing. The prawns fry was not having any flavor. The prawns was not deviened. It's not good for health and is one of the main cause for food poisoning. The mathi fry I found to be old. We both had an upset stomach after having the food. I loved the service provided by the boys. The meals with the vegetable curry was good. The payasam was good.
Aditi Santosh
I ordered prawns ghee roast and beef from this place and it was mind blowing. Tastes amazing. The beef olarthiyathu tastes like home. Would definitely recommend trying food from here. Cannot wait to come back for more. ❤️
Zainab Feroz
I had their chicken meal. It consisted of rice, a chicken curry, rasam/sambhar, sabzi, papad, a sweet dish and curd.
I absolutely loved it. It tasted amazing and felt so healthy.
I had the same thing a second time and this time the chicken was a little too spicy but the taste was still amazing.
Sanmay Nair
Great food. Sumptuous in every single variety made. With absolute certainty and confidence I can say that this is the only place to serve authentic kerala food. The sheer mix of ingredients is a stand out, the fry ,roasts and appam in particular. Prawns and chicken ghee is a must try..
Gokul Deshpande
Small and Homely place. Very Authentic Kerala food. I loved the food, place and service all 3.

Appams are one of the best I had so far. Kadala curry was perfect. Pinnacle was the Pomfret Fry...... OMG ... Very very tasty and perfectly made.

I am sure to visit often.

Of course they gave payasam complimentary.. 6 stars to them.

FINALLY A PLACE WHICH SERVES SOME AUTHENTIC KERALA DISHES

Had been here couple of times. It feels like home here. Food is awesome, had meals, fish curry, appam, all were good, best part is that they serve payasam complimentary :)

ADIPOLI :)

Home made Kerala Style food best in Bangalore. I try to make it a point to eat at this place once in two months and the consistency that they offer in taste has always been the same.

One point that everyone who visits here would be unhappy is about the time taken to get your food once you place the order, but the truth behind is that its cooked by a couple fresh right then and there unlike other Kerala hotels in town. " Sabar Ka Phal Meetha Hota Hai"

If you're a keralite and you're yearning for that delicious kerala meal, Gods Own Cafe is your place. A pretty decent place at the heart of Koramangala. Gods Own Cafe offers all that is good from God's Own Country.
Akshar Udupa
God's own cafe has been at the back of our head for a while.
Keep in mind over the weekend it might be hard to find parking as it's at the end of a very very street.
Let's be honest here , it's more of a mess than a full fledged restaurant. But it's a dam dam good mess.
They don't have a menu.
You are greeted by a very enthusiastic chap , asked to sit down and given the low-down as to what to expect.
We ordered 5 portions of Appams , Chicken Curry and Kadla Curry.
To our shock and amazement the meal was started off with butter milk and ended with Paisam ( Kheer ) which was completely free of cost.
The entire meal cost us Rs. 300 and we could not be more satisfied.
Few points to note.
1) service time is to be noted , it takes a while to get your food.
2) there is an all permeating smell of meat and non veg through out the place.
For me it doens't make a huge difference , but might be a turn off for the veggies.
All in all , amazing place.
Will def go again.
Deubin Jacob
Authentic kerala food and the ambience is like you feel you are having from home. Coming to food we ordered fish curry meals and it was really good. Beef and fish fry both were good. We went on a Sunday for lunch and it was crowded and waited to get a table. They need to improve the services. We have to wait and find a table ourselves. Other than service everything is good there

This is one of the best places in Koramangla for authentic Kerala cuisine. From the meals to the fish, everything is like in a good restaurant you find in Kerala. They have a good homely ambience and great service. And the prices are very reasonable. Will recommend this place to all mallus who frequently visit Koramangla.

Visited this place for dinner during their closing time. Ours was the last order and we ordered Chicken Ghee Roast with Porotta. The dish was great but it would have been absolutely amazing with juuust a little bit of extra flavour and spices. Although right after leaving, I felt sick in my stomach and had a bad stomach the following day, which made me think that the quality of the last order of the day might not be the freshest. I'll still give this place another try because this seemed like a very wholesome and homely vibe and the woman handling the place was also very sweet and welcoming.
Naveen Cherian
This place is such a delight. An actual home where you can sit in the dining room to eat . The food is made on the spot. So a little delay of 10-15 minutes is to be expected. But the food makes up for all of it. They give you free unlimited sambhaaram and after meals , pazham payasam. Its such a homely fee to it and the hostess is just like a mom
Sukesh S
Good food means, it should be both tasty and healthy. It's very difficult to find restaurants maintaining both these qualities, but Gods own cafe certainly fits in to this category. Food is less oily and spicy, but tastier than most of the restaurants in Koramangala. (And for Keralites, this will be one of the best option in entire Bengaluru)
Sajni B
This is more like eating at a home in Kerala than at a restaurant. The people running it are really friendly. And the food also tastes very home like. The buttermilk there is to die for. Don't miss their kadla curry and puttu❤️ fish there I've heard is great too.
Navdeep Biju
Lovely food, absolutely fantastic, highly recommend the place😍. If u are fan of Kerala food this is the place to visit. Brilliant service and very cost effective.
Very rarely does it happen that the waiting period for food puts me off, partly because I always look for a new experience when I step out to eat and the waiting is a part of it. But today what we faced was a little rude. I understand it's a small homely place and there aren't a lot of tables but if they'd been honest that it'll take an hour to wait and not let other people (who came later than us) and serving us bones for chicken really ticked me off.

I won't comment on the taste because maybe there as some prejudice coming in. Overall an okayish experience. Could have been better.
Rupanjan Sarma
Very homely place with the amazing homely food!
Best place for authentic Kerala food!
The prawns ghee roast is a must try .
The other dishes I tried was appam which was very soft and chicken stew
One of the best places in Bangalore that serves fish.
And to top it all of we got a complementary paysam.
Areeb
Small little cafe made from a house.
You have seating at the ground where there is a kitchen and the first floor as well.

Coming to the food, they prepare it with love.
Meals are good and they give delicious sweet in the end too.

The staff have some of the family helping out and they are really nice too.

Fish and stew are some of their best dishes.
Aditya
Amazing Kerala food! Definitely the best in Bangalore.
Do try the prawns ghee roast and anjal masala fry.
The appams are freshly made and goes well with chicken stew.
Very homely food.
This was my go-to place for some good Mangalorean food and I couldn't recommend it enough to everyone, even rated it a full five. However, off late the quality has gone to shit and the prices have shot up 50-100%. Definitely avoid.

This is the best Kerala food I have ever had in Bangalore!! I’m from Kerala and I have tried a lot of really disappointing “popular” Kerala restaurants here. The food is as authentic as it can get. Felt like homemade food...I ordered the fish curry meals with fish fry..it is very cheap and the quantity is also good.. they even gave a small dabba of delicious payasam!
Sugar And Salt Tales
One of the best places for Kerala cuisine, been here couple of times and this place is still my favourite for appams, we had ordered egg curry and appams loved it I also like their prawns curry which I had earlier, feels like home food.
Food: 5/5
Ambience:4/5
Service:4/5.
A must visit place if you are a appam/ sea food lover.
Manjunath P Raveendran
The food is good but they are charging too high while compare with other Kerala cuisine restaurant in Bangalore. That's it. Highly priced...
Saurabh Maurya
Delicious, homemade food. The ghee roasts are absolutely delicious (if you like prawns, do try the prawns ghee roast)! Cheap on the pocket too. The complementary buttermilk is amazing - it's unlimited, so make sure you have as much as you can!

Small restaurant in a modified corner bungalow of Koramangala. Staff is friendly and gave great recommendations.
We tried the-

Fish meal
A good portion of rice and amazing gravy with a delicious piece of Pomphret. It came with 2 veg dishes (cabbage and pumpkin) which were perfectly cooked and a standard sambhar. The payasam was spectacular as well.
Must try atleast one of the meals.

Prawn Ghee Roast with Appam
Mind blowing and amazing dish! Generous portions of large prawns in a beautiful gravy with right amount of spices and flavours.
You have to try this if you come here!

It’s a family run place and be sure to give your compliments to the sweet lady who’s the head Chef! :)

Rounak Kalgutkar

Delicious food. We had Appam, chicken curry, prawn masala, buff fry etc. Everything item was tasty to another level. If you are looking for a place with Kerala cuisines then this is highly recommended.

I’ve been craving a lot of Mallu food lately, and have been looking for good options in and around Koramangala. Found this place on Zomato and decided to give it a shot. I can now safely say it lives up to it’s name.

It’s a huge house, converted to a restaurant, but it still has very homely vibes, as if we’ve gone to someone’s house to eat food. We sat upstairs since the ground floor was packed.
Our server was incredibly kind and polite, and helped us with our order. They gave us a delicious complimentary buttermilk as soon as we arrived. Now, in all honesty, the service was a little slow. But once we saw our food, and took the first bite, we realized why it was slow. Everything was SUPER FRESH, made to order.
We had appams, veg stew, puttu, and beef fry. The appams were so soft, light, and fluffy, they were melting in our mouth. The veg stew was super creamy and delicious. The puttu was hot, fresh, and delightful.

Everything we ordered was finger-licking good! Will definitely keep coming back to this place for all my Kerala food cravings. Strongly recommend this place to anyone who likes this cuisine.

One of the best places in the city for trying out Kerala Meals. We tried the Fish Meal, Prawn Fry and Beef Roast with couple of Appams and Malabar Parotta. Each and every item was delicious. The thali had boiled rice, sambar, 2 kinda of dry sabji, papad, payasam and fish curry. The fish (sardine/ Mathi) tasted super fresh and the gravy was absolutely mind-blowing. Amazing tangy flavour with a raw mango aftertaste. Highly recommended. The beef roast and prawn fry were equally delectable. Complimentary butter milk was refreshing. Pricing is very reasonable. We paid around 680/- for our meal. The only drawback is their service. It's super slow.

Overall, a hidden gem in the city. Would love to come back again.

Bon Appetit !
Puja Deb
Hidden gem in Koramangala. Small place, only 14 seater. But food is really good. The fish curry meals is the highlight. Loved the curry & payasam. Beef roast & prawn fry are good side dishes. Parota & Appam are freshly made. Complimentary buttermilk is the best. Service is really slow. Pricing is good enough. Thumbs up
Sonal
We have been here today for lunch and after being seated no one bothered to take the order for 20 minutes and after calling them several times they took order and after exact 35 minutes they inform us it will take 15 min for the order to make ready.... One of the terrible service received in Bangalore....
Anees Madathil
A fantastic place for Kerala cuisines. Amazing varieties and service with a smile. Appam n stew, must try. There aren't many places where you get these kinda perfect appams. The only trouble I face here is that the staff don't really understand the cuisine and order placing is a bit tough unless you are a regular here and know what you are eating. The prices have gone up drastically I see in my recent visit. A small plate of chicken fry consisting only wing pieces cost 250 Rupees, not reasonable at all. I would have given a 5 if prices made sense.
The complimentary buttermilk and kheers, make your heart and tummy full.
My favorites: Appam, puttu, chicken stew, prawns fry, sardine/mathi fry, beef roast/fry.

The very captivating part about Gods Own Cafe was its simplicity. The ambience was small, cozy and homestyle. Gods Own Cafe completely justifies the authenticity of Kerala flavors in all their dishes, be it the kadala curry, chicken or the fish curry, everything had its own savor. My meal ended with a perfectly flavorful payasam which, by the was, complementary. If you like to try new cuisines, this is one of the places you should definitely try. I would rate this place a 4 on 5.

This was my first visit to the cafe. Its truly a home away from home experience.

We had Chicken Masala, Prawns Masala and tons of Appam. Mamma Mia! the food tasted absolutely wonderful!

The chef (Mrs. Priya) is such a wonderful person. She is a perfect balance of friendliness and efficiency.

Mr. Rajagopal takes care of all the other operations in the cafe and is such a sweet person to interact with.

The food was nailed so perfectly. It was authentic Kerala home cooked cuisine.

Its a must visit place. All in all, highly recommended!

If you are looking for a place with excellent seafood and a homely touch, this is the place to be. Tucked away in the corner of Koramangala visit this place if you want some melt-in-the-mouth appams and spicy beef masala. A must visit place.

Rating and reviews in zomato made me to visit this place but i didn’t find this place was that great or may be what i ordered was not the right choice.

This place is house converted into a restaurant.
The service is slow
Its difficult for the people who sit upstairs to get the order or to order.

I had ordered veg meals and my friend ordered puttu and kadala. Coming to the food veg meal wasn’t great. There was sambhar ,sweet, papad and 2 veg curry and the veg curry very less in quantity. I loved the butter milk. It was complimentary drink
Puttu and kadla tasted good.
The best place in Bangalore for Kerala food 😍 Mr.Rajagopal personally ensures that everything is freshly made and piping hot. This place isn't a restaurant; it is home where we get to eat authentic Kerala fare. :)

Home away from Home ... all the flavours from God’s own country. Appam, Fish, Parotta and Meat all cooked with mothers love and ambience like home. Can’t wait to have another plate of my favourite fish curry meals.

Was eagerly wanted to go to this place and finally have been there today. Totally disappointed.

Ordered four parota and two egg items. Waited for 30 minutes for these items. Very poor service. Food was good and taste.

Ratings:
Taste: 3.5/5
Quality: 4/5
Service: 2/5

It's rare to find a restaurant that has soul in its food - that's what you'll find at this homely place. I give it a five - and I'm one of those who whine to give even a 4!! Try everything - but particularly the chicken stew+appam and prawn ghee roast!

Ente Ponno!
Firstly, the best Kerala Cuisnie restaurant in Koramangala. Maybe, just maybe in Bangalore.
You d never feel that this is a commercialy run restaurant. Aunty is the head cook and uncle at the billing. Sexondly, Everything freshly made.
Just brings back the taste of mom's special fish curry and this goes for each and everything on this Malayali menu.
Must try for anyone missing Kerala/Mangalorean taste.
Nickhil Timoscheen.
Had the best Kerala Home Styled food here, I ate soooo much, BUT FIRST,

Let me begin by how we wound up there in the first place.

It was a calm Friday Monsoon Night;Me and my Wingman, decided to head to God's own cafe on A Friday Night ,after nice evening of Bar Hopping and Hitting on various specimen of Ladies,

We encountered the lot!! And i mean a lot of ladies. We met arrogant ladies, Attractive ladies, Social butterflies, Ugly yet arrogant ladies, and what not.. Here was our pathVapour> Hangover > Agent Jacks > HighNote> Sherlocks> Whats in a name> Toby's > Gillys AND By the time we got to our last stint for the night The Reservoir and after successfully scoring a number form almost all the places, (except for Agent Jacks - that place was a total sausage fest, and gold diggers mine) , you can imagine we were exceptionally tired!!

TRYING to avoid the bustle and the ringing ear drums we wanted a secluded place where we could catch our breath, After coming to the location, I must say it was so homely , i FELT like I would become a Preist and give up my hanky panky ( but that was just a phase, im glad im over it) .

NoW, i Ordered
3 set appams (noodle style roti) 4 regular appamsBoiled Rice bowl
Fish curry (Pomfret)
Fish Fry - Meen
Ghee Roast Chicken.

bELIEVE ME...It was like an orgy in my mouth!!

We got complimentary Butter milk as a starter which i was reluctant to try since it quite resembled a smear of what I left on a girls black dress, but When i tasted it , OH DAM! heavenly.

And complimentary Payasam TOWARDS the end..

Believe me, me everything was nice..

I thanked the staff, there was an elder lady who cooked, I presume the management is related.
Everything was hoT and everything was fresh..
and left.

I WILL Come again (thats what she said! )
Anish
Overhyped. We visited this place today and ordered beef chili, chicken roast along with parottas and appams. The chicken was undercooked with a mediocre gravy, the kind where the gravy was just added to precooked chicken to finish the dish. The coconut chunks in the beef had started to spoil and tasted bad. The beef itself was ok.

But the place is seriously overpriced for the ambience. The chicken and beef dishes were priced at 250 each.

Saravanan Radhakrishnan
A very good restaurant with excellent food. There is a slightly long wait for food when ordered, but it is definitely worth it.
I really recommend this restaurant to you.

With a name like that, you are sure to be allured to this tiny corner cafe in the residential block of Koramangala. And you should!
It's a home run cafe by Mrs. Priya and her husband. All the dishes are made by Mrs. Priya and she do have a god's hand at it. I and my husband are so fond of her fish curry, it has now become our standard Sunday lunch (yes, every Sunday).
Do try their fish cuisines, and payasam it's really a 5 star! :)

Do Try the sea food and light, crispy and fluffy aapams.

This is my first visit. It's a house converted to a cafe, run by the sweetest people (Mrs Priya makes the food herself)

Go here for some yummy Kerala food and warm service. These are people who make food for the pleasure of it.
They even serve you buttermilk and payasam complimentary.

Mr Rajgopal was warm and kind, asked me if I wanted more payasam. People who offer you more dessert are the best kind of people!

And when I went to say hi and compliment Mrs Priya's cooking, she greeted me with a big smile and a warm hug!

God's own calling!

Happened to read a few reviews on Zomato and decided to try out this place. Had the most pleasant experience here, dining at this lovely house owned and run by this sweet mid aged couple. They even had their dining table on for seating.

The food was quite something I liked. Typical Kerala style meals, a little on the sweetish side. The fish curry was absolute delight and was something I never typically had before. Appams were fluffy and perfect. Nothing much to offer on the vegetarian menu though.

All the recipe's are the wife's Kerala mix ones. Truly an warm experience and will surely be visiting again.

TS Hareesh
Authentic kerala home made food as they claim... keeping the hospitality well. You won’t be attended instantly once you step in, but trust me you will get homely food. Parking will be a concern as it’s his home reshaped for restaurant purpose, so plan accordingly.

Coming from Mangalore, my heart n soul crave for fish all the time. Visited this place after checking reviews on Zomato.

It's tucked away in a small bylane off the bustling streets of Koramangala. As we entered the aroma delighted us, from the kitchen which is open and where all the cooking is done.

We were two of us, ordered a veg meal n kerala paratha with chicken curry. As a side accompaniment I ordered prawn ghee roast and matthi fry. Completely satisfied with the food and flavours, the seafood was fresh and butter milk truly lip smacking!!!
Ritesh Nainani
Was surprised to find this hidden gem in the Koramangala. Absolutely loved the delectable authentic Kerala cuisine here. Ordered fish fry, fish ghee roast and masala prawns along with appams which were lighter than air😍 the homely ambience and the friendly staff made the whole experience great!
I am surely visiting this place again to try out remaining items on the menu!

Authentic food prepared without much of artificial flavours, minimum menu options with meals, breads like Parota and Appam. Would be in top of my reasonable meal options

For the longest time I called this place " God's own kitchen" and the more I visit this place , the more my heart believes it. The food here has authentic malabar cuisine flavours and I've my Malayali friends to vouch for that.
Firstly, this place has a unique scent if its own. It always smells of greaaaat, flavoursome food. The portions they serve are quite generous and sufficient for about two people. We called for two curries- Prawn ghee roast and Chicken stew and appam to go with it. I highly recommend both the curries.

Extra brownie points to this place for the complementary welcome drink and dessert. This place is all about great vibes and wholesome eating experience.

Rice had stones. Also there were hardly two small chicken pieces in chicken meal.

Amazing kerala food by the most humble hosts. Tried fish meals and beef roast. Flavors are so nice and fulfilling. The fish curry was spot on and the beef roast as well.

A lovely place for some authentic Kerala food. Super fast turnaround on the food and some great service - complimentary payasam, butter milk, and great conversation with the owner. Highly recommended for everyone!

Excellent place, amazing food and very friendly service. It's got a quaint, homely feel to it, both to the ambience and food. Definitely would visit again and recommend.

I had such a lovely home cooked meal here. The Chef is a very sweet lady who co-owns the house with her husband and they ended up converting it for a food joint. It is located in a corner on the 7th Block and has a very quaint feel to it. Very old school (I am huge fan). They have a limited seating arrangement however it works if you're someone who is keen on having an authentic mallu food experience. The appams were to die for. Very fluffy and delicious with side crisps. Ma'am wouldn't give away the recipe to her cousins either! We had the pleasure of meeting them. The chicken ghee roast was delicious. I'd say opt for meat. I'd personally avoid the fish coz it didn't taste as fresh as I'd like it. Definitely go for everything else. They also serve you complimentary buttermilk (delicious coz of some masalas they add) and a bowl of payasam. Again very tasty. Go belt some food here. Also, if you get to meet the owners, you can request for special mallu delicacies as well.

This is Kormangala or probably Bangalore’s “best kept secret” place. I have been visiting here regularly since December and I have always returned with a smiling face. What do they serve? Home cooked Karela cuisine (without any strong flavour of coconut). Don’t expect anything fancy here, but expect a home-cooked simple Kerala food.

This place is owned by a very welcoming couple, uncle manages the operations and aunty takes care of the kitchen. The love to genuinely serve a great meal is very evident from both of them.

The menu is short and it’s good that they are maintaining the quality of food by only focusing on a few items. I would highly recommend appam, Kerala paratha, sheer fish fry and chicken ghee roast.

I would also recommend their Thalis. For vegetarians, they serve nice Kerala curry(made up of black beans).

The complimentary buttermilk is always delicious.

Summing up in 2 words, “Highly recommended”

Zomato does Not provide home delivery service for this restaurant.Their app doesn't show the restaurant online. They disable the service. The customer service does not try to resolve the problem instead suggest me to order from a different restaurant

The best Kerala restaurant in town. Hygienic and trustworthy! The secret of the taste is that Aunty oversees each dish prepared. The prawns ghee roast and appam is a must have.

reached the place late, place was almost empty, its a house and there were only 4 tables for dining in. with a very limited board menu, the lady of the house cooks, with some yummiest Kerela dishes they gave complimentary buttermilk and payasam. we ordered for kerela parotha, prawns roast, chicken stew and appams All were so delicious and yum! prawn ghee roast was my favorite. the prices where on higher side, as there was no menu where we can compare with, the one with zomato may not be updated one or they cheated us?? the bill was a hand written one.

Worst food and taste. The fish curry was getting spoilt, it was not fresh or hot. The fish fry was the worst, old fish probely 2to3days old or more!! really dry and did not have the taste of fish.. The sweet what came with the meals had a burnt taste. We ordered from this restaurant looking at the review but we were very disappointed.

I was somehow disappointed with the place on two occasions.. The prawn ghee roast was half cooked with the Shell not even fully removed.. Since the owner doubles up as a cook also, they should look for a competent person in her absence
