Review Mooch Marod - Bengaluru

shreya tiwari
If you are looking for nice, wholesome paranthas, then this place is for you. They have a large variety of veg as well as non veg paranthas that are delicious and extremely tasty. We ordered a stuffer matar paneer parantha for two people. They have various sizes of paranthas to choose from, so you can choose accordingly. We ordered a 15 inch parantha for two people and it was sufficient enough. They serve the paranthas with pickle, curd, chutney and a dollop of butter. If you are a parantha lover, this place is a must visit in that case. You will definitely love the options as well as the taste. Do visit this place if you get a chance.

It's one of the best restaurants in Bangalore... I tried Aloo Porotta, and it is really good as expected.. I tried lassi also, and it feels really fresh and refreshing.. If you are looking for a good aloo paratha spot, I highly recommended to try from this restaurant...

I'm just in love with their food. I can't even express how much I love their Keema stuffed chicken tangri kebab. And their stuffed parathar are too good. I have already tried veg and non-veg both stuffed parathas. Chicken Malai kebab was also good. And no comments for special Lassi. Must try❤️

This review is for entire chat street, lots of shops there you find juice shops, fish stall, Punjabi food, momos, Bangar pet chats, grilled chicken, shawarma etc. all the places are good. There are bike parking. But not much of parking space for car mostly 2-3 cars can be parked. Good place for evening snacks.

I had the pleasure of trying the aloo onion paratha here and it truly transported me back to Punjab with its delicious flavors. However, my experience with the tandoori chicken was disappointing, as it was overcooked and not tender. The momos were just okay. In summary, I'd recommend the paratha here, but not much else.
Saptasree Basak
Best place for paratha lovers and also they have an option to customize your own paratha the way you want😊 we had queen size chicken keema onion paratha and it was sufficient for 2 people with extra butter😋 which added more taste into it. The lassi was also queen size and it can also be sufficient for 2 people.
PRAKHAR MATHUR
Great place to have parathas in Bangalore. The menu, dedicated to various types of parathas, is a true celebration of flavor. The generous filling was a delightful medley of flavors, and each bite was a heavenly experience. We also tried Lassi and buttermilk and those were good too. If you’re a paratha enthusiast or simply looking for a unique culinary adventure, I wholeheartedly recommend Mooch Marod. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their paratha offerings!

Here you will get one of the largest paratha in India. They have options to customise the fillings in paratha as per our requirements. I had ordered a queen size paratha with paneer, aloo, onion, sweet corn and green peas stuffing. The paratha was huge in size and taste was good. They provide a butter and raita with paratha. Also i had masala chaas(buttermilk) that was too good. A must visit place for Paratha lovers. Cheers👍

Lovely place to sit on a Punjabi khatiya and enjoy lovely parathas, tikkas, lassi and many more things. It’s located in an eat street , so not really a restaurant experience but it’s worth visiting for the yummy food.
Mamina Panda
We liked the concept & taste. The problem was that half of the sitting arrangement was under the sky so when it started raining suddenly we had to run to get a place inside. The cot style of sitting was amazing. We had chicken keema paratha, Afghani chicken kebab & lassi. All the things tasted great 😃
Karthick Saravanan
Good place to try North Indian parathas. 1 emperor size will be ok for 4 persons. Lassi and buttermilks also good.

Deserve the stars I've rated. Excellent place to have a brilliant and tasty paratha. Their menus are all worth the food as quantity is sufficient and so is the food quality. Can be more hygienic if taken care.
Sagar Mistry
Good outdoor dhaba-style seating !! Huge parathas with a lot of options !! Options available for veg as well as nonveg!! Additionally, they also prepare parathas without onion garlic if you request. So a big plus for all the Jain foodies !!
smrity sinha
It's a food shop surrounded by various other food shops near food court. We had king size aloo pyaz Paratha. Other sizes are queen size and giant. It is served with curd, chutney, nilons pickle, mixed veg pickle, pickled chilli. Worth the penny. ❣️❣️
Swetak Amrutav
Good place for brunch. One queen size can easily serve 2-4 persons. Multiple options for veg and non veg parathas. Family friendly. Enjoy proper dhaba style sitting arrangements.

If you want to have the most droolsome parathas , head to this place. they serve the most craziest parathas in bangalore, they are so giant and would blow your mind with each bite

Ye jagah Dilli, Punjab, Haryana waalo k liye Oasis se kam nahi h, the place serves absolutely gigantic and delicious paranthas, lassi, etc. Pinnacle of Punjabi food, plus we get to sit on 'khaats' or 'chaarpai' and don't get me started on 'Kaccha Makkhan' fam, it's the purest form of love, on more thing, they provide a discount for defence personnel, i personally think that's a great gesture
Ambiance- 8(desi)
Price-8
Quality-8
Quantity-10
Pro tip- go for king or queen Chicken Parantha, buttermilk ( chaas, chaanch), pista lassi, plain lassi, i personally love the place

So this was my second attempt.. since the first one was when I was told that the wait time would be 1.5 hrs for table or 1 hr for parcel.. really ?? Do we start with catching live chickens 🙈

Attempt 2, reached early and got table in 30 mins, still longer than expected as we were early for dinner. Now comes the tricky part, if you can get your order placed and served in 30 mins I think you deserve a medal 🏅

In my case after 45 mins and constant reminders we had our order served..

Food: Afghani chicken was ok, Tandoori chicken was better.. but hey, we came here for the India famous Paratha and that disappointed.. extremely spicy, should change the concept as andra chilli Parathas.. way too much oil / butter.. you lose the taste of everything else with so much butter..

And the attitude of the staff is like they are doing a favor on customer.. 💆‍♂️

Well, definitely not repeating in this lifetime
Pavan Chauhan
Paratha and bucket lassi was awesome 👍
It almost reminded me of home , the staff was very sweet !
Takes a bit time to serve as the paratha massive in size but is worth waiting .
All in all its a great experience and you can visit it always if your hungry 😊

Visited couple of times. Earlier when the owner used to handle the counter, the experience was decent. Now the kids handling the counters are simply inefficient. They don’t attend customers willingly and also rude. They keep on forgetting the orders and at times customers had to shout on them. Hygiene has gone down drastically. But the price is quite high. Quality of paratha has also gone down. We had received burnt parathas many number of times. Owner should look into it.

Why MoochMarod? MoochMarod is basically famous for it's "Emperor" paratha which weights almost 2kgs and is 24inches wide.we visited this place for dinner. The seating arrangement is very homely,You gotta remove your footwear and enjoy the Desi seating style on comfortable floor cushions with low table.
We started the meals with Lassi like Mooch marod special lassi,Gulkand Lassi,Masala chass,Jeera Chaas.
In Starters we had Malai chicken Tikka, stuffed tangdi kabab both the starters cooked well and had a good taste.
In Parathas as I said earlier Parathas are served in this place are just wow and it's cooked in butter.you will get it in different sizes.Emperor Parathas are biggest Parathas in India.Easily 5-6 can have this.In Emperor size We ordered Chicken keema paratha and in quuen size we ordered Aloo Gobi onion paratha and the taste was out of the world.
A Must Visit Place if you are in Bangalore.

Parathas are like warm hugs. They instantly remind you of home. It is the ultimate comfort food for an indian soul. I tried the Chicken kheema onion Partha cooked in butter and Alooonion pyaaz paratha. As quirky as its name the reminiscent is its taste. It had generous amount of filling. It is served with yogurt, chutney and pickle. If you're ever feeling low just go to this place you'll definitely feel better.

You just cannot miss this place when in Bangalore! So far the best Paratha and Chicken Starter ever had! And not forgetting the amazing lassi it has.

Didn’t know there was such a selection of parathas in one place. I played safe and got the Aloo Onion Paratha and Chicken Keema Onion Paratha cooked with butter.

Aloo Onion Paratha - Soft and easy to tear the Paratha with a perfect stuffing of some yummy potato & onion masala and served with some yummy curd. Loved the chaat masala sprinkled on the paratha and the combo of Potato-Onion stuffing. I'd go back for this one time and time again.
Note - If you want to play an enemy role in someone's life who want to be fit, just say 'Aloo onion paratha' 😝 It works.

Chicken Keema Onion Partha - It's cooked in Butter. I crave for some spicy Paratha and among spicy parathas, I love Keema Parathas. They are self sufficient, you don't need anything else with these, just a little pickle and curd by the side enough. Mixture of juicy minced chicken & Indian Spices that will take your taste-buds on a different level altogether

Malai Chicken Tikka - It is a mouthwatering juicy grilled chicken recipe, with chicken pieces marinated in chilies, garlic, lemon, spices. and cream. It is one of the best snacks to nibble while you enjoy their masala chaas or Lassi!

Some other recommendations for paratha and starters:
* Chicken Angara
* Paneer Achari Tikka
* Stuffed Tangdi Kabab
*Chicken Keema Paneer Paratha

Along with the familier Parathas and Starters, you can try their Sweet Lassi and Chaas. Some recommendations are:
* Mooch Marod's Special Lassi
* Gulkand Lassi
* Masala Chaas
* Jeera Chaas

Parathas as big as they can get: Mooch Marod Non-Veg.

A humble place in White field that serves some lip smacking starters. Yummy lassi and chaas. And BIG parathas. The parathas served at Mooch marod are the Biggest in India.

A humble place with open aired Dhaba style seating. To Squat and sit on and relish the food – desi style.

Had been here with a group of friends – I know I cannot eat the huge parathas alone.

Had salted chaas and Jeera chaas to accompany my dinner – Both tasted well and went well with the starters and parathas.

In Starters we had Stuffed Tangadi chicken, Malai chicken tikka and Angaara Chicken.

Stuffed tangadi – Chocken leg pices stuffed with miced chicken and some mild masalas and smoked in the grill – Had a smokey flavour – desi taste – cgicken used was yender. Really loved this dish.

Malai chicken – Malai chicken tikka basically with some few spices loads of malai – loved the taste and he mild smoke flaour whilch game from the filred grill they used for cooking.

Angaara chicken – A spicy chicken starter – if u are in mood for some spicy dish this one is for you.

Mooch marod serves BIG parathas at its best –and one more thing that is special about this place is that we can choose whether the parathas are cooked in Butter or oil. So we ordered a Chicken kheema onion paratha that is cooked in butter – Emperor size.

This One was about 24 inches in size – perfect stuffing of minced chicken and onion with chilly and other spices – The parathas though it is big – It’s cooked evenly all across. topped with a BIG dullop of white butter. YUMMM.
Enjoyed every bite of this one. We were about 5 friends who shared this.

They have an amazing range of veg and non veg starters, parathas and lassis. I totally love the chicken Malai and the Tangdi stuffed kebabs. The Malai kabab was really cooked to perfection and yes the stuffed tangdi Kababs had this yummy kheema stuffing which made it much more tasty and unique. The Angara kabab were good and the chutney served with it was mind blowing. The onion kheema paratha king sized one was served with lots of butter and raitha it is definitely a must try. You can surely share this with minimum of 5 people. Lassis and jeera chaas were also great .
You can undoubtedly head to this place incase you are not so much bothered about the ambience and all you care is the food. Seating arrangement is decent , there is a separate kitchen for veg and non veg so vegetarians need not hesitate. Do check out this place if you are craving for desi food.

we ordered 2 different parathas.
they served one after 50 mins and second after 30 more minutes

Nice Place for parathas !

I had been to the Veg section last time and now was the time for Non-Veg. I have grown up thinking its only Veg for a Paratha, however the Non-Veg was a bit of a surprise.

While everything else remains the good with this outlet. I didn't quite enjoy the Non-Veg paratha. Perhaps its a mind block or just didn't taste right. Either ways, some of my friends who are hardcore Non-Veg have kinda enjoyed the paratha.

Kabab and tangdi are amazing there!!
Though the big looking Parantha excites alot, but keep a check on your tummy.. Don't do over eating that might lead you to Bad experience!!

A small place when it started but has now become a brand.

Mooch Marod - Meaning give your mustache a curl(symbolizing your pride about yourself) is what one does when they manage to finish the paratha on their plate.

And trust me when i tell you this, very few have been fortunate enough to do a Mooch Marod at Mooch Marod.

The place is always buzzing with people regardless of the time of the day.
The paratha's come in three sizes.
Queen, King and Emperor.

Queen - good for 2 if you have the greatest appetite.
King - Easily feeds 3.
Emperor - Makes 4 people loosen their belts.

The lassi is out of the world too.

A place that i highly recommend and would request everyone i know to visit.

Ambiance - Don't care

Quantity - 5/5

Quality - 5/5

Value for Money - 5/5

Taste - 5/5

Service - 4.7/5

Since the number of people turning up everyday is huge, with a small kitchen its difficult to manage. They should consider increasing their kitchen staff.

Also, they should give extra glasses cz their lassi portions are too large for 1 to finish.

Mooch marod, located in whitefield is the hub of having good parathas. They have made such a good reputation that everyone that goes there, becomes a fab of that place. They have segregated the area into two parts, veg section and non veg section so both can have parathas of their kind in their own space . competes with other places all over india in terms of making the biggest parathas. They have named their paratha sizes as "Queen size" which is the smallest one having size of 15' inches and you can't finish it alone. A bigger size is named as "king" having size of 20' inches and the biggest paratha is named "emperor" having size of 24' inches. Clearly they serve humongous parathas also with big glasses of lassi. A well recommended place for all the paratha lovers out there. Cheers!

Well, recently visited this place after hearing a lot about this place and their huge parathas. Talking about the place they have pretty nice outdoor sitting area where you can find many charpais like desi Punjabi dabba. I love the way they have done it.

Then, Let me tell you about their few dishes which i tried. Starting with some non-veg staters, ordered their Malei tikka, Chicken tangdi kebab and chicken Angara. Every single starters well amazing and delicious to taste. I love the Tangdi kebab which they have stuufed with spicy chicken keema inside it making it more delicious. Chicken angara were new to you as it was my first time trying out this but I love the taste and flavours they have put into.

Then comes their signature humongous Paratha, which is only served by them only. After seeing the size of their paratha your hunger will be gone but making such big n huge paratha is not so easy but they make it with perfection as stuffings spread all over equally. I and my friends tried their Angara chicken keema onion Paratha king size. They 2 different sizes of parathas i.e., queen and king size.

Overall, i love experience of having Paratha and lassi here. I definitely recommend you guys to try out this place with your friends as alone won't be able finish any of their dishes single handedly.

Time and again my love for parantha made me explore new places some disappointing some great but, never have I stopped my quest for finding a perfect parantha place in Bangalore.

And then came Mooch Marod , a place which serves parantha in big sizes situated in Whitefield ,this has been given a dhaba look. Charpais to sit , wooden slab to eat from and the feel and environment is just as good.

Coming to food they have some of the largest parantha servings and keep in mind when it comes to stuffing or ghee or butter there is no compromise. Food here will feel like being made with love and dedication for each customer. They have parantha in 3 sizes Emperor 24 inch , king 20 inch, queen 15 inch. Also , they serves lassi in steel bucket, large glasses. Which will give you an authentic feel .They also provide kebab as side dish which you can order.

This is a place which came close to my heart with their food and look. Simple menu and very technical preparation and execution. Loved the experience and would recommend this to all.

At last I would say , go here with your friends coz if you are light eater then you may not be able to finish the smallest parantha. Take all you can eat but eat all what you take .

I am in love with these chicken starters and paratha here 🤩❤
Started with Lassi it was so thick and flavourful, tangdi kabab was something great I ever had ❤
Paneer tikka was 😋yummy
The paratha was in 2 sizes Queen and King
One veg and one non-veg paratha which was so big 🙏❤
I am still confused about how do you make it 😀😍👌👌
I really appreciate the service here, so humble and kind-hearted people
They suggested this Tangdi kabab and its perfect 👌
I love Dhaba side seatings and this basic seating in the city is excellent
Bike parking is huge so no worries about parking at this place
Perfect place for paratha and chicken lovers 🤩

Mooch Marod is definitely the go to place in bangalore if you want to have a paratha and lassi. Must have paratha include mutton kheema paratha, chicken kheema paratha, paneer paratha, gobi paratha, gulkhand lassi, lassi, pista lassi, tangdi kebab

I would suggest every paratha lover in bangalore to visit this place and if planning to visit in evening then would suggest to reach this place before 7 because generally they are sold out or stop accrpting orders by 8:30. The ambience is just perfect to have parathas it gives u feeling of a dhabha. Also they have king and queen size variant parathas that should serve 4 and 2 people respectively.

Overall rating : 5/5
Food rating 5/5
Ambience 5/5
Value for money : 5/5

Good ambiance .....real test of homemade jabardast desi food in Bangalore thanks to mooch marod

What a disgusting place! I really feel pathetic for every North Indian who comes here in the search of authentic north Indian paranthas. First of all they will make you wait for more than an hour (at least on weekends) and then even after waiting for the same the quality of paranthas you get is horrible. The price is high and taste is shallow. The place looks so tacky and the kitchen looks untidy as it can be. I have once been here and will never go there again in my entire lifetime. These guys have tried creating the same feel like Dhabha culture on Murthal road but Mooch Marod is nothing less than a waste of money, time, taste and effort.

In a Saturday afternoon we planned to lunch at mooch Marod..as the owner wasn't present his trainees messed up the operations....we were asked to at first forc25 minutes, it later extended to 45....and then an hour and 10 minutes....
With no information about our order...the owner has not prepared/trained his team to run the show, as we were famished....it was not worthy to shove a line of logic into his head.....
Restaurant businesses must take note of consistency....
No customer should leave the place unhappy..unfortunate....I hope they will rectify....
Sri Lakshmi
Perfect place for paratha lovers....they serve two sizes paratha queen n king size and can be eaten by group of 4 or 5...we ordered chicken angara paratha, malai kebab and tandoori chicken half...all the items were cooked perfectly with right spices....ambiance it’s dhaba style seated outside with cool breeze...service was ok...the prices were bit high as parathas cost you nearly 300 to 450 each depending on the size...must try is the chicken angara paratha which was very yummy and spicy....try this place who love parathas...

Delicious Taste Tempting Hot Amazing Mouthwatering Parathas... First time we tried only Chicken Angara king size Paratha. That was so so so big and delicious and beautiful too. They not only serve delicious non veg paratha but also Veg Paratha, one of which we tried at our second visit that was Aloo Methi partha, Paneer Aloo onion Paratha.
Third visit we tried Aloo Methi onion Paratha was also delicious. Best part they have two kitchens separately for Veg and Non Veg.
Forth visit we had Chicken Angara onion Paratha was again a hit.
Pudina Chaas and The Lassi are tasty too
TASTY FOOD, GOOD SERVICE, FRIENDLY STAFF
Everytime we visited it was Tasty Experience. Keep it up guys.

The food is great, but the staff is not at all customer friendly. Our order was the last order and only couple of customers were there. We were not done with atleast half of the food ordered and they switched off half of the lights. We were still okay as they told about cops' issues. Issue came when one of the waiter started telling us to eat faster and leave.! This is not at all acceptable. If you are not able to serve a customer properly, you should not take the order in the first place. Although the food was 4.5/5, the staff made the place very bad. Will not be visiting this place anytime soon. I hope the management employ some good staff.

Price slightly on the higher side. And seating improvements can be made. Service gets slow on weekends due to huge crowd. Overall good experience

Never seen this huge paratha.. Nicely filled with chicken stuffing. King size was enough for three people served with hand made butter. Reminded me of my visit to punjab.

Food- 5/5
No less than 5 stars can be given. The sitting setup is super sexy. It will be even hard to find a taste of parathas to the north of India to what you find here. Any paratha lover has to visit this place.Cheers guys.

Big paratha, big bottle of lassi and people gathering around this delicacy is the picture that pops up in my mind when I think of Mooch Marod. The first I heard of this place was through one of my colleague. He suggested we should try this place and I didn't give it a thought then. One fine day he calls me up and says "Hey, I got food from Mooch Marod, why don't you come down to the cafeteria and try them" so went to cafetaria and yes this was the picture I was talking about earlier. It was too good, there were lot of different kinds of paratha with an amalgamation of spices and meat and the taste of lassi lasted for a while. Even today I visit this place just to compete with myself to try and finish off the entire paratha.

If you are a desi at heart and crave for authenticity and flavour, then Mooch Marod is the place for you.

Paratha stuffed with chicken kheema, sizzling kababs on the side, and sipping lassi - what more could you ask for. The open air ambience adds to the dhaba feel.

One thing to be wary of is the crowd. Especially on weekends. The waiting time could go from glad an hour to an hour. But that just means that so many people are crazy about the place.
Sajna Ahmed
Unless u are a north Indian dont expect any respect at this place... though ur food tastes good, we would never come here again.... there is a good way to inform people there will be longer wait times and asking people with kids and family to get up and leave was heights of disrespect
Sandesh
The only complain is that they don't have enough branches to proximity in Bengaluru, although it was a long travel, it was worth for me to travell as far cause the food was good.
Siddharth Manchanda
Paratha paradise that's the name I would give this place.

This restraunt is located in Whitefield and has open sitting arrangement on authentic Punjabi charpayi.

They have 2 diffrent sections and separate sitting arrangements for veg and non veg, that's cool.

Belive me, Parathas are really really big in size and you need to have few guts to finish the one which they call it as queen size, nearly like a medium pizza size.

I went along with my 4 colleagues and this place was almost full but we were lucky to find a sitting sooner.

We began with ordering aoolo pyaj, aoolo gobhi nad panner parantha 😉 and all queen size.

All the parantha are served with curd and white butter.

Order came after a waiting of 25 mins of time, we all just like animals were on it and loved the taste and crispness of paranthas, it was too good.

We all were so hungry, but these 3 Parathas were more than to fill all 5 of us and we are all quite built heavy.

Then we ordered 3 lassi, which would be sufficient for 5 people, we ordered jeera lassi and sweet lassi
.

Ambience : 3.5/5
Food : 4/5
Service : 4/5.

Try this place, you will not regret going here.

Being a Punjabi myself , I truely enjoyed it 🍽️🍴🏺

Aashish Kumar
Very simple Ambience with an authentic taste of food. We had a Queen size mutton keema onion paratha, which was more than enough for two people.
Aditi Pande
Very bad service....long waiting..waited for 2 hr still didn't receive our order .just had lassi below average...that too we got it after many complaints constant nagging ..finaly lost our patience ...finaly cancelled order after 2hrs

Perfect punjabi place in terms of both ambience and food. Loved the non veg and veg parathas. Best place to go on a weekend night with a group of friends.
Jyotirmoy Dasgupta
One of the most famous eateries in whitefield. Simple restaurant with dhaba styled khats to eat on adds ambience to the place. Also their stand towards indian military officials gives a respect for the owner. Coming to the food the food is exceptionally good there are two sides veg and non veg. I went to the non veg side the tangdi kababs as starters are stuffed and are extremely tasty and so are maximum of the starters. We order two stuffed parathas one king size and 1 queen size and we were 3 people onto it. Chicken stuffings are to much to handle for 3 people and I would recommend going for a veg paratha instead of opting a non veg one. Not the food was bad but the stuffed chicken however churned was hard to chew. Somehow we finished the parathas and headed for a lassi as it digests the food. Lassi is reasonably good but lies slightly on the costly side. Overall if you eat in limit and not overeat it will be a wonderful experience.
Amit Satapathy
Damn those parantha sizes...uff you will love them.

Service time is the only problem. More than one hour to wait.. could increase the production rate.

Lassi was epic.. realistic Punjabi taste.

Both mutton and chicken paranthas were amazing.

Do order the stuffed tangdi kebabs as well.
Sanchitkumar Behera
Amazing Place, Great paratha. Need atleast 4 people to finish one King Size Chicken paratha. Friendly Staff. Do try the special Lassi. Preparation takes time, but it's worth the wait.

If you are a paratha lover, this is your destination.. There are almost 100 different kinds of parathas. They come in three different sizes. My husband and I went there for dinner. We ordered for alu paratha king size.. It was delicious. Maybe delicious is an understatement.. The parathas are served with raita. We also ordered for Lassi.. It is one of the best lassis, I have tasted. They come in biiig glasses..
We were very happy with the food and I highly recommend this place to everyone..
This place is awesome both in terms of food and ambience. It feels awesome to have such a healthy food under an open sky. Seating arrangement reminds of a typical dhaba. Quantity is more than sufficient for every item they serve. Service is extremely good. Thanks for the wonderful food and service.
Supriya Thakur
Its an amazing place for paranthas. We ordered a chicken pyaj paratha and a mutton keema paratha along with a jaggery lassi and a mango lassi. The taste is fantastic. Stuffed chicken paratha and stuffed mutton parathas are lip smacking. The biggest issue is the waiting time. Its minimum 40 mins. Plus they dont have covered places so if it rains there is a complete mess created. The food is awesome, the owners should plan for a different place with a better infra because for the food they serve if the infra is proper it will be more enjoyable to have hot parathas when it rains.
One of the best parathas we had of late. The place is cozy but the food has an essence of North India and the parathas along with the desi makkhan were absolutely amazing. Staff here is friendly and courteous. Do visit with your family and friends.

Welcome to the best Paratha place in town. The location is remote and the ambiance might be a bit rustic (not a covered place to sit) but the taste is exceptional. The sizes of the parathas are huge and might take 3 people to finish 1 king size. The lassi is also very good. The stuffing starts to feel similar if you order multiple parathas but nonetheless delicious. Highly recommended.

If you are into big parathas... I mean really really big parathas then this is the place for you.
A rustic dhaba ambience under the stars add to the aroma of the delicious parathas. Their take on the parathas becomes unique with the white butter they serve it with.

Add to it their lovely lassi which again is a huge glass of thick and creamy pure curd flavored to compliment the hot parathas.

Pure Bliss. Must visit once for both veg and non veg paratha lovers.

Remind you about soul of punjabi dhaba and cuisines . very good quality and rasty food. The owner is very well spoken. Please be at fast for atleast 12 hour before going there . i loved it.

The best parathas in Bangalore. Period. If you have had proper parathas in Murthal or in Punjab, it will surely remind you of that. They serve the paratha with the most sought after desi makkhan. The other accompaniments are pudina ki chutney and achaar. The taste is out of the world and the size is humongous. The smallest is the queen size which two people will somehow be able to finish. The only negative pertaining to that is, if two people want to have different parathas, that provision won’t be there. Their tandoori chicken is one of the best I have had in Bangalore. The lassi is also great. Don’t worry about the ambience & stuff, just go for the food. & while ordering, just check with the staff about the quantity. Very highly recommended!
Richa Prakash
They have parathas in three sizes emperor , king and queen and trust me they cook the biggest parathas i have ever seen. They have many varieties of parathas and lassi and both in three different sizes. Must go place for paratha lovers. Only thing which was disappointing was only parathas in menu and they should take more care for cleanliness.

Three things mandatory before going to the Whitefield outlet:
1. An empty stomach.
2. Your own transport.
3. A bin to throw your diet plan.

They aren't exaggerating with the size of the paratha y'all. The taste is exquisite and the size very satisfactory. Make sure to add in sweet lassi to your order to make your experience even better.

The queen paratha is enough for two people. And the king for 3 to 4 depending on individuals appetite. The emperor can be finished by 5 to 6 people easily.

Try to visit the Whitefield outlet in the evenings as the seating is outside on cots. Afternoon may spoil your experience due to heat. Whereas the Kormangala outlet is indoors and can be visited anytime.
Amazing food.... The paratha size and the lassi quantity you won’t find anywhere.... Truly amazing.. Can’t wait to come back and try the remaining parathas

Visit this place for a king-sized meal. Authentic Punjabi food along with Indian style khatiyas in the open. Had an Afghani Chicken Paratha and Chicken Tandoori along with a Emperor glass of Sweet Lassi. The Tandoor Chicken here is probably the best I've ever had. Although, it's a bit expensive, but it's worth your money.

Go here for the food and food alone. They have an open under the sky ambience matched with khatias to sit upon and enjoy sumptuous humongous parathas. They have it in queen and kind size with huge dollops of Makkhan and chatni and curd to compliment. We ordered the mooch marod special lassi, it was okayish but I would prefer mine with cut dry fruits more. We ordered a chicken Angara paratha which was without a doubt the best chicken paratha I have ever eaten. Will visit again to try mutton Keema Paratha. The star of the evening was the malai chicken kebabs. It succulent moist and full of flavour with proper seasoning chatni and onions. Folks craving parathas please do visit you will be reminded of home. Happy eating :)

Amazing taste.. took a king size mutton onion kheema parata. It was amazing... And special lassi. Staffs are also very friendly. But yeah go with minimum 4 members. Else its tough to finiah one all alone 😉😉

Food- 4
Ambience-3.5
Service-3

Amazing and humongous Parathas and great Lassis, if you like stuffed Parathas then this place is a must visit as the Parathas are husge and tasty and will leave you satisfied in terms of taste and appetite, the lassis too are really good especially the Jaggery Lassi which is my favourite.

The ambience is open and has khatias which will give you the Desi feeling but becomes a bit uncomfortable at one point. The service is the main issue as they only have 2 Tawas for veg and non veg so it takes a very long time to make and you will have to wait at least 1-1/2 hours before you get your turn.
I had a wonderful experience here yesterday night. We were 4 friends and we wanted to find out what was this huge hype about this place. Turns out, it's not for nothing.
We ordered mutton Keema Parantha (king size); which was huge with chocolate and black lassi and chicken kebabs. We were somehow able to finish all the items. We were a bit disappointed with both the lassis since we have a sweet tooth; however once we asked they added sweet at the earliest and oh boy, was it good. The kebabs were soft and cooked to perfection. And salute to the Parantha with the huge topping of "Makkhan". It was soft and tasty and felt healthy as we ate along.
The Customer Service is top-notch here as well.
If you are visiting, don't forget to try out the chilli chutney which is available in one of the jars around.

Well, I had heard of this place a lot and finally decided to give it a shot. I saw pictures of the huge parathas and lassis and the dhaba like feel of this place and was extremely excited to give it a go.

Well to start with, this place is a little far from normal Bangalore central so I thought I wouldn't see a lot of people but I was completely wrong. This place was buzzing with youngsters wanting a taste of their unique parathas. We ordered 3 different varieties of parathas. The angara chicken keema paratha, the paneer and aloo stuffed paratha and the aloo green peas paratha. The first two were queen size and the last was an Empire size. The empire size was simply massive. It would take about 4/5 full grown men to finish that off. No wonder they advertise themselves as the largest parathas. The parathas were superb and tasted absolutely fabulous. The dollop of butter in the middle and the raita along with balanced the meal so aptly. We also ordered a kiwi lassi, a plain sweet lassi and a Mooch Marod special lassi and all three of them were awesome. The lassi goes so very well with the paratha that you feel a taste of Punjab right here in Bangalore.

The thing that I really liked about the parathas was that there was a crunchiness to it and the stuffing was full of flavors. There paratha was generously stuffed so that one wouldn't feel he was chewing dough even once, which sometimes happen with stuffed parathas. I would say this was a perfect paratha. The other thing that is definitely worth mentioning is the service and behavior of the owners. They were so warm and cordial that it felt very much at home. I loved my experience and would definitely go back everytime I have a paratha craving

Top Notch!
Absolutely amazing experience at this place! I bet you will get the very best of services from all the people there. They take utmost care of what the customer would prefer and promise us that we have a great time there. The quality of the food is supreme, if you're a fan of Paranthe and Lassi, this is just the place to be! Do have an empty stomach before you reach there. Order accordingly. No worries, they'll suggest how much quantity to order 😁 Loved this place and will be revisiting it again and again! 😍

I visited this place to taste their amazing and huge parathas and I tell you, I was overwhelmed. You shouldn't expect a nice ambience here as they have raw dhaba feel.

This place is well known for it's tasty paraths & delicious lassis. Every paratha here comes with white butter, raitha, green chutney & pickle. I tried their Angara Chicken Keema paratha in queen sized ( which is the smallest size here) and it is sufficient for two people, so order accordingly. I paired my paratha with sweet plain lassi, which was very filling for me. If you like any flavoured lassi then you can even try that too.

Do visit this place if paratha are on your mind, the portion size is big here so order accordingly.

It's a great place for Punjabi food lovers. And yes the paratha, with the white butter, the biggest non-veg paratha in India. It's so damn tasty. The chicken kebabs was exceptionally good. To end the whole food fiesta with awsum big lassi was mindboggling. I will ask each one of you to visit the place as soon as possible. Everyone in Mooch Marod are so welcoming you will get the flavour of Punjab.
Sorry I was so lost having the delicious food that I forgot to take pictures. The ones available are very true to what it is.

This place is located near Channasandra and has separate seating areas for veg and non veg. They have king size n emperor sized Kheema parathas, kababs and different flavoured lassis. The seating is on a rope cot and the food is simply finger licking good. U May not be able to finish a paratha by yourself so best to go in groups. The pricing is decent. The only downside is that car parking may be a problem and since the seating is quite limited there would be await time of more than an hour on weekends

My 2nd visit to this place. Also the 2nd time I’ve returned without having any food from this place because of: the staff’s arrogance, utter disrespect and total disregard for customers’ requests. Seems like their business has gone into their head, making them overconfident in thinking that a few customers going away will not change their fortunes! Highly negative approach, especially for a food business. False propaganda of army discounts while they’re insulting army families such as mine.

# Partha love...I like the paratha very much and lassi is also good....they provide it in 3 size...queen, king and emperor....queen is that big that you cannot eat alone...

What a place for humongous north Indian parathas and starters.
*Must try* tangdi kabab, I guess this is the best tangdi kabab in Bangalore. Mutton seekh kabab and chicken Malai Tikka we're also yummylicious.
However I won't suggest you to try chicken seekh kabab, as it's not the restaurant's mistake , the dish itself is a shame in front of mutoon version 🙈

In parathas there is a huge list of keema parathas, we went for king size chicken onion keema paratha, which comes with curd and loads of butter.

In Lassi they again have so many options, but I would suggest *mooch maror special* emperor size Lassi . (Can suffice 5 people)

The chaach on other khaats were looking yum but we had no space left in our stomach.

Will surely go for a next try !!

The only concern is the seating, as they are always full and somehow I am not sure how do they accommodate in case of sun/rain.

This place is located in prashanthi complex which is full of food joints but there is something special about this place which will definitely attract you to visit here. Dabha style open space seating arrangement with khaat (charpai) is a plus point apart from their amazing Paratha and Kabab menu. Their signature king size paratha and emperor lassi will definitely steal your heart.

They serve some delicious and mouth watering Kababs which will definitely be a good start over here.

Tangdi Kabab: This was chicken keema filled kabab. You will love the flavour just by smelling it. It was marinated so well that taste of masala oozing out from every bite I had of it. Served with spicy green chutney added extra flavour to it.

Malai Kabab: Best malai kabab in town. It was creamy and juicy. Definitely a must recommended to try this.

Tandoori chicken: They have done full justice to one of my favourite dish. Perfect spiced and marination enhanced the taste of it.

Chicken Keema and mutton keema onion paratha was insanely big (21 inches big paratha) overloaded with makkan on top of it. Perfectly combined with spicy green chutney to enjoy the best of it. Paratha was definitely a unique experience in the town.

Mooch Marod Emperor Lassi: Serve in bucket which can easily be shared among 4 - 5 people. Lassi was kesar flavoured and very thick. Must recommended to try this one over here.

Overall, it was lovely experience to visit this outlet and try out some unique and delicious food. Must recommended for all north Indian cravings.

this place actually fulfils the desire and craving of a north indian from whom paratha is actually a staple food. this is actually one of the best parathas and humungous at the same time.
I recently went to this place with few of my friends for dinner as i am non vegetarian and never had non-vegetarian parathas so i ordered one mutton keema paratha and one chicken keema paratha with lots and lots of white butter. it was really yummy butter was fresh and the paratha was made with wheat flour not maida. and cooked really well it was crispy and no excess oil was added to cook it quickly.

With that we ordered one huge emperor lassi which was enough for 5 of us. amazing taste it had of kesar.

we do ordered starters like tangri kebab , chicken malai tikka and mutton seekh kebab. everything was yummy. the chilly used gave a very homely feeling to the food.

if we talk about sitting arrangements it was charpai..!! awesome village experience in open space.

hospitality was average. if it was only food i would have rated 5. i am wondering during rains how will they be able to make sitting arrangements.

The place is heaven for kebabs & paratha's. This one is the non-veg oulet of Mooch Marod, located at Whitefield.

They give a open sky ambience, and provides the famous beds of Punjab made with wood & rope. You can actually feel a vibe of Punjab there. The place is always filled with youngsters and family. People are busy to order their food in the take away counter all the time. Sunday was an amazing experience to look around the craze of people coming at Mooch Marod- Non Veg, Whitefield.

The starters were amazing in a word. They served fresh pieces of tender chicken directly from the charcoal oven after our order. The pieces were soft & fleshy. The Tangdi Kebab has some unexpected stuffings inside their piece of flesh, which surprised us. The quality was top class, as we experienced the flavours of Punjab in Bangalore. Kebabs were not at all high priced, so it is a very good deal to be true.
We also had their amazing range of their non-veg paratha's i.e., mutton keema onion paratha, chicken keema onion paratha. Both the paratha's were good with it's taste, and was stuffed with keema onion of chicken & meat. We ordered for the king size, and it was that huge. It can serve 4 people if they are really hungry. And 6 girls, as they eat a bit less.
This time I also had my favourite lassi i.e., Mooch Marod Special Lassi, emperor size. Yes it was really emperor one. Thick lassi which came on a bucket was something to die for. Will really suggest to try this lassi guys.

A good place in a pocket friendly budget to have your punjabi experience right.

A place is not to be judged by it's décor or grandeur, but solely the quality, innovation and heart with which they serve the food on a platter. Set as an authentic roadside dhaba, this place has proper desi vibes from the moment you walk in. The veg and Non veg section are different, and we tried the non veg (of course). This place has been earning praises for a while for its Queen Emperor sized paranthas and Lassis that are served in buckets! No kidding, this place specializes in making delicious paranthas, adequately spiced in raw whole spices, well flavored genuine fresh lassi with ground mint and coriander for flavoring and some lip smacking starters! I tried the masala Chaach, Tandoori chicken, tangdi kebab, chicken seekh kebabs, mutton parantha, chicken parantha and aalu parantha. A bucket full of sweet lassi was also served that from what I heard, was mildly sweet and flavoured with kesar. My most favorite of all the paranthas was the traditional aalu parantha. The starters were all delicious too, and chaach was worth the money and enough for two! Overall, this place is the answer for all the North Indian food cravings you have in Bangalore, and should not be missed!

Have you ever craved for great North Indian food in Bangalore like I have? This is one of the few places in town where you can end your search. The food was really tasty but make sure that you are hungry because the size of parathas are "the largest in India" as they claim. The best ones to have were mutton Keema paneer paratha and Angara chicken paneer paratha.
Kebabs are also one of the specialities of this place. The marination of the tangdi kebab and it's chicken Keema filling just made it one of the best dishes that I have had ever. The malai tikka kebab was really juicy, succulent and creamy as it should be.
Among the drinks, which you get in queen, king and emperor sizes, the mooch marod special lassi is a must try. The dry fruit with lassi combination just brings out the flavours.
And at last a shoutout to the homemade green chatni which was really mouth-watering and just reminds you of home.
The ambience of the place was typical north indian dhaba style where you sit on the khatiya and enjoy your food.
A must try for everyone who loves north indian food and want to have the true flavours in Bangalore.

Mooch Marod is located in Prashanthi complex where you can find lot of other food outlets but this place attracts the maximum crowd. One reason is obviously food taste, second it has Khatia Dhaba style seating, third they have pure veg and nonveg separate outlets opposite to each other and last menu is simple, however they offer biggest Parathas ( queen n king size) and Lassi ( Queen, King and Emporer size).

Must Try Starters which tastes wow:
1. Tangadi Kabab
2. Mutton Seekh Kabab
3. Chicken Anagara
4. Chicken Afghani

In Parathas we tried Mutton Keema Onion Paratha, Angara Chicken Paratha.

We order Emperor size Mooch Marod's Special Lassi which was really nice.

Overall experience of this place was awesome.
A place that calls for a deserving 5 for the category they are in. A little outskirts to Whitefield, its a 10 mins drive from Hope Farm. An outdoor seating with the charpais placed all over, you are here to enjoy a meal for sure. The claim of biggest paranthas and lassis is surely visible. From queen sized to king sized ones with an upper limit of 21 inches, you are here for a parantha treat. Amazing chicken starters with desi marination served with a nice minced chutney marks this place. Special mention to the mint churneys made to perfection with mint, anardana aka dry pomogrenete gives a spicy and tangy flavour to the faint sweetness of anardanas. Ample parking outside , this place is always full of crowd
******************************************************

WHAT WE HAD

🔵 TANGDI KEBAB - A bliss of a kebab, this was very tender tangdis marinated with desi masalas and filled with chicken keema. I can claim this as one of the best Tangdi Kebabs I have had in Bangalore for sure. The tenderness of chicken with desi masalas gave a perfect start to the evening.

🔵 MALAI KEBAB - Again this was surely one of the best malai kebabs per Bangalore. You can have a feeling of a perfect north Indian touch to the malai kebabs. Marinated very well, the kebabs were too tender

🔵 MUTOON SHEEK KEBAB - These were good but if you are looking for perfect starters, go for the first 2. These were well made, nicely tender but very simikar to what we get everywhere.

🔵 TANDOORI CHICKEN - Again nicely done, the chicken was well roasted and you can feel the tenderness.

🔵 CHICKEN KEEMA AND MUTTON KEEMA ONION PARANTHA - A king sized 21 inch parantha with oodles of butter over it. Surely you will not get this quality and quantity of white butter in many places around. This went well with the home made chutneys and lassis/chaas for sure. The keema filling wws too good to have a blissful every bite.

🔵 ALU PYAZ PARANTHAS - You have to try basics to judge a place and this place has done more than expected in those terms. The masala in the parantha was well mixed with desi flavours of theirs and served with white butter, this was just next to heaven. You can sense the authenticity of the paranthas maintained and the flavours of Punjab well captured.

🔵 LASSIS AND CHAAS - Many flavours to choose from, we went with the special recommended ones. The mooch Marod special lassi came in 3 sizes and we went with a larger bucketed size one. Minced dryfruits and perfect flavours to the lassi was perfect. The chaas was again perfect. We went with a pudina chaas option and trust me it was perfected like anything.

Overall this place can be blindly trusted for any of your choices here.
***************************************************

OVERALL.

FOOD 5/5
AMBIENCE. 4/5
SERVICE. 4/5
COST WORTHINESS. 5/5
PARKING. 5/5
Heard a lot about this place. Finally got some time to try it. Ordered angara chicken onion queen paratha and Tangdi kebab. It was worth the wait. Luckily I got my order early. It was enough for two people. Might have to wait for getting a khatiya. Butter was awesome. Had lassi which was ok. It was not cold enough. A must go place.

I am so in love with this place. It has the perfect parathas and they are so filling. You name the type of paratha you want and they have it. An amazing place for people who crave Indian food.
Anish Vijayan
This is a go-to place for all the paratha lovers. They serve varieties of veg/non veg parathas. We tried the non veg menu. The mutton seekh kebabs r a must try and their singature lassi is to die for. The sweetness in the lassi comes from the overnight soaked dry fruits and NOT sugar....so rich and has perfect sweetness I say. The parathas come in queen and king sizes. V were about to order 2 parathas but d owner suggested to order just 1. One Queen size paratha is a task to finish even for 2 people. And the lassi is served in 1 litre quantity...again too much a task for 2 ppl to finish. So place your order accordingly. The seating set up is cots laid outside..like the dhaba set up, u can fold ur legs, relax n enjoy your food..U may even doze off after such a sumptuous meal!!! 😆 And yeah very polite and attentive staff.

This is the place where you can enjoy your food the great Punjabi way. It serves you a wide variety of parathas – veg/non-veg, chicken/mutton etc. The cots are laid outside and you will get the ambience of a road side dhaba.

Parathas come in two different sizes – Queen (16 inches) and King (20 inches). Lassi in three – Queen, King, Emperor.

We wanted to order King size paratha for 2, but the mooch marod guy suggested to go with Queen size and he was right. Ordered a Palak Angara Chicken Keema Paratha, it came with a block of butter and curd. Trust me, it was so hard to complete this. Anyway Jeera Lassi helped a bit. On the whole a nice experience.

Anusha Vaddireddy

Paranthas over here are very well loaded with butter and will give you the real taste of punjabi food
Parantha with lassi over here is the best combination
Worst experience, food doesn't not worth money

Be ready to have mosquitoes with parantha, I won't recommend anyone to visit this place.....

I visited this restaurant yesterday. Heard a lot about the paratha here so decided to taste it.
Took a king size paratha. Its sufficient for 4 people. They serve it with home made like makkhan. We also took sweet lassi along with paratha.
Now coming to qualtiy i felt its good to try it once. Paratha is tasty and that makkhan on top is a delight.
Howver, i still feel 400 is too much for a partha despite the size. Lassi could have been more sweet.

Helpful staff, doing all needful to help their customer. Tried their mutton keema onion paratha n stuffed tangadi kabab. Never had such nice experience in bangalore. White butter makes it more better when they r serving on the cots. Truly their tag line " jabardast desi"
