Vegeterian food was excellent except sweet corn soup. Ambience is bad, feels like an old restaurant nowhere close to the fine dine experience.
Food - 4.5/5 ( avoid sweet corn and desserts are bad)
Service - 5/5
Ambience - 2.5/5 ( not worth the money)
Desserts - 1/5 ( terrible presentation)

Had been here for a birthday dinner ( vegetarian) with family. We particularly liked the fried lotus stem appetizer, fried eggplant appetizer, the dimsum and the honey glazed noodles.
Food-4.5
Ambience-4
Service-4.5
Overall hotel-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was amazing, the hotel is in the heart of the city with a lot of greenery and beautifully maintained, if anyone is looking for a fine dine for Chinese then don’t miss this place, they have a chef from Beijing, worth the 5 stars 🌟
Whenever Niyanta and I decide to eat out, we tend to avoid going out for Indian food. The cream and butter and spice enriched heavy food that most Indian places serve doesn't really cut if for us. So when Visheshwar Raj Singh, the General Manager and VP at The Oberoi, Bangalore, called us to come and try the modern Indian food pop up, I was intrigued to quite a measure. This pop up takes place at the hotel's Szechwan Court restaurant, and features a tasting menu of the best offerings of 'Amaranta,' the hugely successful modern Indian restaurant at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. The chef of Amaranta, Tejas Sovani, is here in Bangalore to curate the dining experience throughout the pop up that lasts most of this month. The meal that I had at the Amaranta pop up at The Oberoi, Bangalore was one of the finest culinary experiences I have had. The good thing is you are not burdened with having to choose your food (which can be quite intimidating because modern Indian food does not have easily understandable names). The menu is set - a seven course odyssey at a fixed price with each course featuring a vegetarian option. One can even opt for their suggested wine pairings for an additional price. The 63 degree poached egg with roast quail made me sit up and take notice, whereas the black cod with scallop, lobster tail in smoked kokum curry was the highlight of my meal. Niyanta swears by the homemade cottage cheese with lahsooni palak and curry leaf snow, whereas the Birbal ki khichdi intrigued and pleased in equal measure. The sambusec style dessert of beetroot and fig with fresh mango, raspberry and amras foam was the perfect finish - subtly flavoured and not overly sweet as Indian desserts can be. If you are intimidated by seven courses, don't be. The portion sizes are just right and just enough for you to polish off each course clean without making you feel stuffed to the gills.

Amaranta, Bengaluru, Chef Tejas Sovani, Modern Indian Food, Oberoi Gurgaon, Pop Up Restau, The Oberoi. Amaranta – named after the flower that never fades – is an Indian restaurant at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. The cuisine is Indian – but in a progressive rendition. The restaurant is contemporary – bringing together timeless recipes in a transformative preparation – that make this an amazing experiential. And for those who aren’t traveling to Gurgaon anytime soon, there’s a fabulous opportunity now. The Oberoi, Bengaluru has a pop up restaurant at the Szechwan Court hosting Amaranta, with Chef Tejas Sovani from The Oberoi, Gurgaon. This is a pop up that lasts longer than convention, until end of the month, and we absolutely welcome it!
the food and the ambience are decent and neat! I really enjoyed the food! the crispy lotus stem and salt n pepper prawns were really good. ordered prawn in Sambal sauce and schezwan chicken for the main course which came with jasmine rice and veg noodles.. loved the main course as the flavours weren't strong and was perfect for dinner.
If you are looking for a venue which is classy and is extremely quiet where you can spend quality time with your friends/family, this would be a perfect choice. The pin drop silence and the beautiful ambience outside as well inside was itself a treat. We ordered kiwi cooler, mojito, baby corn manchurian, caramelized fried rice, pan fried noodles, tofu & vegetable clay pot etc. By the time we had our mocktail and starter, we already had very high expectations with the main course. Rice and noodles both maintained the rhythm of fulfilling our expectations however the tofu curry was little sweet which we didn’t like much. If I talk about their service, surely it was one of the best service we have ever experienced. Overall a very nice fine dining experience!!!
I went to Szechwan Court for Saturday lunch and enjoyed it very much. This place offers you an excellent range of top class Chinese cuisine. The ambience is extremely serene with the staffs being highly attentive, helpful and provides friendly service.
Valet parking is available at Oberoi.
This restaurant also has baby-friendly chairs.
I visited this place on a rainy monday evening, and it seemed like the perfect time to order soup and/or tea and maybe some noodles. However, upon arriving here, I ordered a lot more, and I did not regret it.
I liked the asparagus dumpling, but I did not think that there was anything particularly remarkable about it.
Interestingly, I really enjoyed the side dish - baked/fried cracker type things served with some sauces.
I loved the warm fig and almond tart, which stole the show for me. It was fabulous and with the ice cream, it was everything anyone who loves tarts needs.
The ambiance is decent and up to the mark. The staff is very courteous and listens and exactly understand what you want. The food, is excellent. It is my favourite place for the crispy lotus stem. That particular dish is what keeps brining me back to this place.
The taste of chinese food here was so refreshingly different and delicious. I went here with my family for Sunday night dinner. The ambience is too good. Each of the staff seemed to be well trained and they carry the stamp of The Oberoi hospitality in every bit of their action. Highly recommended if you are looking for the best of fine dinning in Chinese cuisine.
The crispy lotus stem dish was amazing. Service impeccable. A little pricey for India, but a good meal with top service.
Delightful setting with delicious food. Look out for their "specials"... Great value for money deals.
A very nice chinese restaurant inside the Oberoi. I had the dim sum lunch which was great - all you can eat!
nice food, good staff and a very nice place to visit
