This is one awesome place run by the ISKCON themselves. A very clean and hygienic place. All their snacks and bakery item are of high quality and delicious. Best part, none of them have onion. Not cheap, I would say, not expensive as well. No parking space (we are talking about Malleshwaram), so plan it well.

Located on the Hare Krishna Hill, next to the well-known ISKCON temple, parking is not an issue at all. There is ample place around the restaurant or in the temple premises even on the weekends. This place is spread across 2 floors, mainly divided for buffet and a-la-carte. I have never tried the buffet here, however I have heard it is really good and totally worth the price. I have been here multiple times and have had most of the dishes on their menu. Each and every dish is totally up to the mark and tastes really good. They have a unique range of tasty Indian Bread, starters, rice and desserts.

Dropped by for a slice of cake with grand daughter. The cake was fresh and good. The general atmosphere is very nice. They can definitely improve in the service. Took a long time to even acknowledge our presence though only 3 tables were occupied. Had to ask if we were going to be served at all.

There's a bakery on the first floor with variety of ice creams (try the paan flavor), delicious cookies (ask them to be microwaved) and other assortments. Downstairs there's a mini restaurant with good chaats, love their Rasgulla chat ! The place is slightly expensive but squeaky clean

This was my first time visiting the restaurant, it was a bad experience for me and my friends. We ordered some starters first and while waiting for the main course, we found a COCKROACH on our table running behind the wooden plate stands. It was horrible. I heard this was one of the finest restaurants and looking at this completely changed our thoughts. Very low Standerd's and very poor cleanliness. 0/5 starts

I haven't had the dine-in experience.. ordered a home delivery.. food was good. simple and no fuss but the stores delivery in-charge should be careful enough to send the items as mentioned in the menu and not skip them.. in my case twice they missed to add the items

The food packaging is very bad and damaged. The liquid content in the parcel leaked and due to this the food is completely spoiled. It isn’t consumable too. When we called the higher taste they gave rude replies and dropped the call saying it isn’t their problem. Wasted 500Rs and didn’t get a bite of what we ordered too! I would never recommend their services to my circle. Very poor management system I should say.

Located at the main road, the place has two sitting areas. I prefer the side basement. Service is decent, although try avoiding rush hours. The quantity served was not proportionate. For eg: In d Pav Bhaji, the Bhaji was enough for just one pav, I literally threw out d other pav. In d Combo 2, along with aloo paratha the sabji was enough for just 2 bites, had to eat rest of d paratha as it is. Taste wise also everything was bland, no salt, no spice. Though prices were reasonable,d food was not worth it

We frequently Order eggless cakes from here. They are definitely best of what all we have had but are slightly expensive. It’s a perfect example of how tasty and soft cakes can be made without eggs.

The place is pretty average, I used to love the pastries here but I feel off late the taste is not what it used to be, avoid the liquid consumables here, having said that this is probably the only saathvic bakery in the area. The sandwiches and chats need improvement, the ambience is good and although the price is slightly higher it is probably due to the saathvic tag. Overall a okayish place

This is a newly opened restaurant in Malleshwaram. The ambience is good. It serves all kinds of condiments, sweets, Ice creams and also cakes. This place is very famous for its North Indian dishes. But I cannot say that it's completely North Indian. It's kind of multi cuisine. It serves few south Indian dishes as well. My colleagues and I ordered satwik Thai and an Aloo paratha. Satwik Thai had two pulkas , cucumber salad, methi Malay mutter, cabbage mutter, a raitha, rice-daal, paapad, a barfi and raitha, last but not least pickle. I felt that pulka wasn't completely baked. It's a good was also good but nothing special. I don't say that it's a must try, but if you are looking for a quick and cheap nice North Indian meal, then this place won't disappoint you.Alaka

A good interior and easy visibility is what you get at hugher taste. They have plenty of snacks to munch on with bresh baked cakes, doughnuts and breads. Their breads are good and the best one is cinnamon bun. A huge sized bun with cinammmon powder which is my favourite. Gulp down chilled tomato or carrot juice which will be freshly made without water or ice. I personally didn't like their cakes though it was@ freshly baked but didn't taste good. Overall a Good place with nice ambiance and hygienic snacks.

This is part of Iskcon temple's food joints which runs on the Saatvik theme of not using onion, garlic, artificial flavors and pure veggie of course. Though the website claims of using banana leaf, they serve food in plastic and paper plates at the store in Malleshwaram. The food is quite delectable and can make you want to come back. I think there is a larger restaurant inside the main Iskcon temple near Orion Mall which serves a larger array of food. The one on Sampige road has chats, paratas, pizzas, sandwiches, quick bites, pastries, snacks, sweets. The taste of the pepper corn pizza was really good and we relished it sitting outside the store during the mid afternoon Bangalore showers. We also had the veg (without cheese) sandwich, bread pakoda (really tasty too), corn puffs, badam milk, sweet lassi, papdi chat and rasgulla. A very relaxing afternoon in the rainy season eating good food outside on the restaurant porch.

If you go with the experience and expectations of The Higher Taste at ISKCON,then you will be let down. Like the puranas teach us,don't have any expectations...then one will be happy. The chaat items are OK.Parathas are good. Place was too small to hold even my family/group of 6 adults and 4 children. Bengali servers and cooks who don't understand kannada. Won't be rushing back to this place in a hurry.

Being the business venture of iskon I had great expectations wen i entered the store on a Sunday evening. Bought this traditional sweet called RasMallai which is usually renowned by its rich taste of sweet flavours and the sweet tenderness is the make one to have tongue smacking for more. But here not only the sweet was pathetic but I had to use my hand to cut the sweet as it was soooo hard! Even the plastic spoon cudn cut it.! I made sure I returned it never paid for it. Same story with another dish called kachori... These both the delicacies wud be much better on road side! Pathetic ambience as well.. I wud never recommend this to anyone.. Not sure with other branches but as far as malleswaram is concerned better to close the outlet!

Good spread of sweets and savories. The ingredients used to cook the delicacies is what makes higher taste - high on taste. The chocolate breakfast bun has high quality chocolate and chocolate chips. Caters to the vegetarians and they have fast food, pizza joint along with the baked food products. Sweets - the malai and rava laddu needs to be consumed when bought, else they can go stale if not refrigerated. Savories / namkeens are definitely high on taste and priced aptly.

I frequent this place and like the food. What amazes me is the taste of the food without using onion and garlic. channa batura is probably the best in the town. Gobi paratha is something I relished. Bisibele bath is my pick in rice items.. Short eats like chats have a unique taste. Rasagulla and gulab jamun are the pick for people for sweet tooth. The bakery upstairs have some good stuff. I would recommend chocolate bun, muffins to veg puffs. Ideal for children. The place is small for a family dine-in. But walking across the beautiful malleswaram just walk over for a short bite. Sure you will not be disappointed.

Another paradise for Saatvik food lovers. Been here couple of times. The ambiance of the place is similar to the higher taste in Hare Krishna Hill, Rajajinagar, the only difference is the magnitude. Has out door siting arrangements, its good for short eats. in the basement they even have about 4-5 table for chats and lunch combo menus. Has more options on ice creams, sandwiches and Pizzas. The best thing about this place is eggless pastries must try. Over all nice place for Short eat Cheers!!!!

The best place for sattvic cuisine......I belong to a hard core vegetarian family where even onion and garlic are not welcomed much....being from such a school of thought it was difficult to find such restaurants in Bangalore....I go for some tutions in Malleshwaram and that is when I came across this awesome outlet...Cost factor too seems to be in okay with the pockets....Food is hygenic,tasty and worth.....Must try for vegetarians!

Best food with no garlic and onion... I was always looking at this sign board and searching wer exactly it is... Coz its beneath the sweet shop.. I was thinking its the sign board of the sweet shop with punch line chats and combos the higher taste... One day i realized the higher taste is at basement n its not related to sweet shop above... Went with a coligue in the evening tym Ordered chole bature.... But they din had it.. Then ordered pav bhaji, sweet lassi n mango lassi... Sweet lassi was awsm..... Mango lassi was a disaster.... Pav was hot n bhaji was sour and taste was matching to the Bengali cuisine gravy.... Totally suggested to ppl who like bland flavor, mild spice with sweet n sour taste....

A cousin of the higher taste restaurant and a business venture of iskcon, if u are the one who has a craving for fried kurkure stuff..u can try this outlet.. Decent taste and hygenic..prices a bit above average... Do try the prasadam(ladoo)...u do have the choices of chats(i havnt tried any..if u are in malleshwaram y go here...:) )...overall a good place to try..enjoy thinpand's...;)
