Review Pepper Cafe - Bengaluru

Best place for continental food in Ulsoor. Their menus is good with pasta pizza and salads. Quality food and quantity also good. Must try place.

The food was decent. The staff was very cordial. The pizza was amazing but the chicken wings weren't that good. Overall quite a nice ambience a homely vibe to it. Would totally recommend going there again
Arvin Nayuni
Good food with great flavors, good music, ambience needs a little work to make it a bit more lively.
Akshay
Good cosy place. Nice food
Aparna Ramesh
Absolutely wonderful and yummy food. The ambience is just about ok. There are times when you dine there and realise you are just about the only customer but let that not stop from digging into some really really good food. No complains thus far and have tried quite a few things out there. Sea food tossed pasta definitely tops my list.

The ambience is nice & the food is good. I am a vegetarian so I can tell about veg stuff only. But the duo sitting next to me were hogging non veg items and they couldn't stop raving about the food. It's moderately expensive compared to your run of the mill joints, but the extra bucks are well spent.
Harsha Ramesh
Really tasty food. Conveniently located. Good service. I had dishes listed on their Christmas menu which were quite tasty. The pepper steak was nicely done and their prawn starter was delicious!

Thumbs Up Quality of the food served was excellent. Friendly Staff Personalized touch and special attention given for the food served. Scope for improvement Better ambiance Inclusion of more variety of food Acceptance of AMEX card for the payment Ample Car parking space since it is near Central Business District Own website.

This was a short walk from our Hotel and my coworker and I both really enjoyed our dishes. The only sad part was that we were the only one's there the entire time. Hoping it was just a slow night because the food was great and the prices were reasonable.

We keep getting food from this place never dined there. It was my first time dinning at pepper cafe totally enjoyed the food and service. Must try are crab soup, potato skins, Spaghetti aglio e olio and chicken pizza.

The drinks were Awesome and the food was even better! Hats off to the chef as we were thoroughly impressed! Probably the best food in Bangalore! Be sure to order the Sangria and go ahead and try the Prawns in Blanc Sauce. Don't be afraid to order appetisers, as food so delicious can't be resisted. The soup can be shared and was absolutely incredible. Make sure you follow up with dessert as your experience wouldn't be complete without it! Also perfect for date nights that don't have you emptying your wallet! FIVE STARS and more if I could!

Just after lemon tree hotel, you have to drive another 200 meters. They are going through with renovation while my visit that's why not able to click the picture of the ambiance. If the food is really good who needs the ambiance. Very courteous staff service is good but doesn't expect the service of any fine dine. In food, I got Five spiced and black pepper tossed prawns really yummy. The veggies with that cooked with the perfection. Five spice powder is nothing but a mixture of Star anise, cloves, Chinese cinnamon, schezwan pepper and fennel. The main course of mine is fish full of seafood. Grilled lemon garlic fish. As all other eateries providing the basa they also provided the same fish but all other sides are really good. Apart from all another thing I got to know one thing from a young lady. We are destroying nature by using straws guys I had a thought as well. If we don't use straw can't we drink our beverage? Is this that much necessary? Please think. I must say must visit food joint in town. Bon Appetite @Chef BB

The starter and main course were really good, we had a chicken started and pizza, but desserts choices were very limited, they didn't have a lot of what was mentioned in the menu

Most amazing food I have ever had in my life. I have tasted almost every item in the menu. Each one is a gem. Staff are courteous and eager to help.

We had for starters- BBQ chicken wings and bruschetta really enjoyed. Lovely chicken stake in mushroom sauce mash ptatato for main course and finished with lovely banofee pie dessert .

A nice little cafe in ulsoor. Went on Saturday to this place and got seat swiftly. Staff was very courteous and server was very polite.<br/><br/>We ordered nachos 😍 jumbo fries, farmhouse pizza, Arabiata pasta and Asian noodle salad.<br/><br/>Asian noodle salad and pasta were the best I tasted and nachos were good too.<br/><br/>Zomato gold was applicable, pricing was moderate. Would visit again soon.
Priyanka Bissa
Good place, decent food. Not really high on ambience. We ordered Asian soup which was good, french fries were decent wjlhile nachos were good. In the main course, we tried penne arrabiata pasta which was good while primavera pizza and farmhouse pizza were decent.
Lydia Solomon
Love this place and the food. Been consistently good and it’s our regular dine out place. Wish they were at a better location to attract more customers but otherwise it’s a nice place. Easy to get parking. Pleasant staff.

A lil disappointed since the management has changed, there was no beef nor lamb nor Crab cakes 😒 and no Wine too!! However I tried the SouthAfricanperiperi chicken tasted delicious. Grilled Portuguese fish combination dint go well the sauce and the fish dint taste good was avg. Also mash had lumps and was bland! The person who was serving us confirmed there will be a new menu soon, hopefully next visit won't be as disappointed as this time.

Actual rating 3.5..<br/>Its right opposite to army gate in ulsoor, besides shobha ivory.. food is decently fine. I tried wild mushroom soup and cilantro steak.. i liked cilantro steak.. my cheat meal day so could afford to hv fried food! Went for snacks so me and my friend only tried 2 things..<br/>I think i can recommend.. :)

The quantity of Fish Fingers is appalling. I wasted my money on this dish.
Vijay
The quantity is pathetic.
Tanuja
My experience is really good with Pepper cafe though we had previously ordered from there , yesterday we visited the place and ordered for parsley fish with sautĂ© veggies and green apple Mojito , the fish is finger licking tasty but the veggies are kinda raw not sautĂ© properly and the mashed potatoes are horrible seems it’s was grated and served full of lump and no trace of butter or cheese. Need some serious improvement in this particular matter otherwise the staff behaviour is good and definitely the food is .
Loreta Maria
Pepper cafe is one of the oldest restaurant they still Have a great score for the taste, I feel they really have the best chefs who can make the best starters & main course meals<br/>They give complementary mock tails as soon as you go which makes you smile a little😛 <br/>Must try South African Prawns!❀❀❀❀<br/> <br/>Good at food, taste, ambience and quick in serving too!<br/>Things to improve - cafe set up is quite old they can improve on that so that cafe looks more appealing! Not a really happening place.<br/>No alcohol served here, just mocktails

I am a fairly regular customer of pepper cafe. today I was given garlic bread that was hard and stale. it's disappointing.
Vinamrata
This place never disappoints on the food even when it's home delivered. Being a regular here, I usually order the Prawns in Chenin Blanc sauce but I ordered something different this time - teriyaki salmon. Needless to say, the fish was excellent and cooked perfectly and the salad was a great compliment. The only aspect of the dish makes it lose it's points is the pasta, it was too spicy. The chilli flakes were in excess and took over the pallette completely. If the chef holds his hands back on the chilli and let the flavours of the pasta come through.. this would be another repeat on my list of order.. thanks for the lovely food and service time and again.
Rachna Ramdin
What happened to this place? Absolute let down! Ordered a House Special Chicken Salad . It had 5 pieces of dry chicken nuggets, a miserable tasting coleslaw salad (which was hot) and a confused sauce. The Chicken Stroganoff - let's not even get there! <br/>Thai Chicken croquettes were just a drier version of the chicken Nuggets coz it's been fried longer, gauging by the color. Almost tasted like they deep fried it straight out of a frozen, ready made packet of nuggets. I'm guessing the standards have dropped big time coz they used to have some really great food! Too bad. Maybe you should consider keeping your chef happier! <br/><br/>Never ordering from here again.

We recently visited Pepper Café for a small celebration. From pictures on Zomato, ambiance seem to be bright. Unfortunately the place seems to be getting old by time. Unlike pictures, decoration appeared quite dull. The restaurant has two floors. Ground floor has a bar like setup. First is elevated half floor seating with few seats. We decided to sit on first floor. We were the only one in restaurant. Coming to food. We ordered Rock crab soup: I found it good, though my wife did not find it appealing as she felt corn in that soup was not blending well with rest.<br/><br/> Starter we ordered: Tian of Arabian Prawns. This was good and liked by both of us.<br/><br/> Main we ordered<br/><br/> Grilled Portuguese fish: really well balanced dish. Fish was fresh, tender and flavour was just right. <br/><br/> Pepper Café's Spaghetti meat balls: going with the recommendations and name, I went for it. It turned out to be a complete confusion of different flavours. Restaurant have tried to give a Mediterranean touch in meatballs by adding strong spices and it had overpowering sugary taste. To make things more confusing here comes chillies and black pepper. I could not completely finish my portion. Perhaps it was just not for me.<br/><br/>Over all food is good except meatballs in my case. Very quiet place. Service is fast but just does not give you a vibe of fine dining.<br/> <br/>Oh I forgot to mention, they don't serve liquor anymore as their license expired. ( as told by their staff)
Paul Sam Easow
I went in there just because of the good reviews i had seen on zomato by previous customers... Unfortunately I was disappointed, not at the service ambience or anything as such but by the food.<br/>I had ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and it felt like old stuff just microwaved. The sauce was overpowering, the meatballs tasted like uncooked mashed potatoes and i felt like was just eating some basic noodles with a lot of ketchup.<br/>The worst part was paying 400 bucks for that crap.<br/>Food-1/5<br/>Value for money - 1/5<br/>Ambience - 4/5<br/>Location and convenience - 4/5<br/>Service -4/5

some of the mains were too oily. otherwise excellent flavours and quantities

It's a quite cafe in Ulsoor. Perfect for a Sunday BBQ lunch. They had the big screen showing cricket live. We had the mozerella mustard steak which was grilled to perfection. They have a good section for the vegetarians and kids. Pastas and garlic bread where top-notch.

I have been there with my family on last weekend. It was quite crowd. Good management they provide us table on time. Excellent service staff. They served us very politely. It was very good experience. <br/><br/>Thanks to paper cafe. Will come back very soon. Kudos....

I haven't physically visited this restaurant but ordered via Swiggy one rainy afternoon. The menu is quite interesting, with a fine mix of crowd pleasers and fairly unique dishes. It also spans across a variety of cuisines, although the menu for Italian food seems to dominate. The items we ate are as follows: <br/><br/>Argentinian Fried Calamari: This was one of those dishes that had to be eaten at the restaurant as the crispness had wilted away by the time it was delivered to us. Additionally, the squid pieces were a little chewy. The fried squid by itself is fairly bland, but coupled with the mayonnaise and chickpea salad which came as accompaniments, it made for a decent starter. The chickpea salad in particular stood out as its dressing was a sweet-sour concoction that complemented the spicy mayonnaise well. <br/>Rating: 3/5 <br/><br/>Spaghetti with Meatballs: I am a huge fan of this dish as tomato is one of my favourite base flavours. Pepper Cafe's rendition was a truly wonderful one, albeit on the spicier side. The lamb and feta meatballs were soft and melt-in-your-mouth. They were not too heavily fried and crumbled easily with the pasta. The pasta itself was cooked in spicy tomato sauce, and had a peppery (haha) aftertaste. <br/>Rating: 5/5<br/><br/>Pesto Pasta: This was a standard creamy pesto pasta with lots of vegetables in the mix. I wouldn't say it's the best I've had but the flavours of basil and pine nuts stood out and weren't lost in the cream sauce, as per what usually happens. <br/>Rating: 4/5 <br/><br/>My only grouse with the place is that their dessert selection seems to be rather limited. We were looking forward to a hearty sweet thing after this flavourful meal, but nothing substantial was available. If you're in the Ulsoor area, you should definitely check out this place. <br/>

A very well lit place reminds u of only happy times and a colourful Place with good music and friendly staff ....the food doesn't disappoint either.

One of the best discoveries through Zomato for a cafe with some surprisingly good food. Located away from the crowded areas, this cafe located in Ulsoor has a pretty good space with projector screens..yes you could request to change channels :)<br/><br/>We ordered Grilled chicken asparagus soup which was really good and comforting. In starters we had chicken wings having a good tangy spicy twist to it. Their menu has details around the main course making it our job easier to order. We had spinach stuffed chicken supreme, chicken steak in burgundy mushroom sauce and parmesan crusted fish. All of them were good and quite filling, value for money considering the taste, freshness, richness of the sauces and the quantity. Service was really good and the waiters respected your privacy while also paying close attention to your needs.<br/><br/>They planned to open a barbeque and I would definitely come again to try out their other items. A great place to enjoy some tasty with and have conversations with friends.

Very good food we dropped in with our other frnds and we enjoyed it and also there are very good food and service is a bit slow can be better...

Best food. And the owner, manager and waiters were so friendly with us. Must a visit place if you are around. Best continental food you will ever have and you have the big screen in which you can watch live TV.

Had ordered Agli Olio from pepper cafe. The food was packed nicely. The veggies and pasta were tossed in pepper, garlic and oil just perfect with proper seasoning. I highly recommend this dish strictly for people who like to have lots of veggies in pasta and no gravy.

You will figure out a lot of cafe options in bangalore. Pepper Cafe as opposite to the name is a very quiet and spacious cafe. I got to know about this place from one of my friends. On one rainy day we came here for a quiet dinner. Place is perfectly lighted and quiet colourful. Also you have proper place to park your vehicle.<br/><br/>This place is not overcrowded and staffs are really good. On every table you will find wine bottle, but that is not complementary. If you want you can ask them to open for you. On menu card they have clearly mentioned about tax declaration, that is very good and clear.<br/><br/>Since they have very limited options in mocktails, so we ordered lemon ice tea and virgin mojito. In the starters, we ordered chicken wings in BBQ sauce, well count wise only four pieces were there but actually it was sumptuous. The BBQ sauce was really very tasty.<br/><br/>In the main course we ordered Chicken streak in burgendy mushroom sauce and red sauce spaghetti. Chicken quantity in both the dishes is just perfect. I have tried red sauce spaghetti at many places but here I liked the most. They have slightly different preparation which comes out really good.<br/><br/>With just three dishes we were so full so couldn't go for dessert. But this place has given me a very good meal to visit it again in some time.

I visited the restaurant for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised.. Great food... Big portion size which justify the price.. fish fingers and brownies are the strongly recommended!

This was our second visit to Pepper Cafe. The first time we visited this place we loved the food, so we decided to come back again. We ordered for Portuguese grilled fish, Parmesan crusted chicken for main course. Loved the taste, the portions were very very apt, friendly and courteous staff.

Great food with healthy and happening environment. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was well cooked and the presentation was nice too. <br/>

If you want to pay for food poisoning! Cold food, late, pizza with half the toppings specified, and dehydrated cottage cheese. Another dish called spinach cottage feta rolls with pretty much no feta in it. Ordered online, and ended up giving a guest and ourselves some food poisoning...Zomato customer service gave us a measly 150 rupees zomato credit...

Nice place I have been here at least 5 times now. Service is quite good, Waiters are polite and helpful, but as it is a duplex resteraunt can take some time for them to come up. It has one small tv. Food is amazing what ever we tried was good. Try the pizza and ask for the specials as well (since it is normally posted downstairs), pasta and bassa fish was nice as well. The best part about the place is the price. Quite reasonable and good quantity food. It is never crowded either.

I happened to order 2 dishes from an online delivery platform. We had asked for the Pesto Pasta and Lasagna. Both the dishes were terrible and totally NOT edible. The Pesto dish was watery and and Pasta used in the dish was completely overcooked. The entire dish was like a porridge! Coming to the Lasagna, the dish has excess of oragano and tasted only of it. The vegetables were overcooked. The garlic bread served with the dishes were the only saving grace. And the dishes were not cheap. Each of them cost in excess of 300 rupees and I really felt that I was taken for a ride. Clearly a place to avoid both for visit or delivery.

A quick bite post the meeting took us to Pepper cafe. Never been ..never even heard about the place. Pretty neat & clean place to begin with, now that's a positive sign. Were greeted by a very polite & pleasant gentleman ( I guess the manager or co-owner) As per server's suggestion we went with Teriyaki Prawns- verdict - Yummy & It raised our expectation from the main course, however utterly disappointing ... Beef steak sizzler. The reason I still give 4 is for the service & ownership of the shortfall. The same gentleman quickly got it replaced but still not what i expected. I would definitely go again to try out something new.
Deepak Prasad
Really good food. Ambience is ok. The place is very empty- which does not do justice to the food. The staff is pretty courteous and attentive.

A nice, cozy place to spend your Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was recently renovated and the menu was renewed too, and yes it all looked fresh and different. <br/><br/>The hummus varieties here are a definite try!
Nayantara Bagla
I ordered food home yesterday afternoon and it was spectacular! I had the stuffed potato skins and the Brazilian chicken steak both were cooked to perfection! Served hot in simple and clean packaging and the flavors were spot on! My only gripe with you Is the additional delivery charges, man they are steep and also unnecessary in today's day and age. We always look forward to dining at Pepper Cafe. And today was no exception as we were back after a really long time. We were informed by the staff that the management has changed and unfortunately, our experience hasn't been the same either. We walked into an empty restaurant at 1.30pm on a Saturday afternoon and were informed that they have already run out of our meat of choice. So we can have either the appetiser or main but not both. Most of the items for entrée weren't available either. Very strange and disappointing experience. Change isn't always good!<br/><br/>I guess this is why Pepper cafe is so empty on a weekend.
Vishrutha G
Came here seeing the reviews.<br/>Food is tasty.<br/>Ambience is also pretty good.<br/>But the rate approximation ie INR 800 for two is crazily wrong.<br/>Its nowhere close.<br/>The service tax and VAT is pretty high, atleast that's  what we felt considering its casual dining.<br/>We ordered 1mozarella cheese balls, 1 veg lasagna, 1 peri peri chicken, 1 glass samara white wine,   and 1 watermelon mojito and the cost was INR 1200+<br/>The tax summed up to INR 280 <br/>The total amount was INR 1400+.<br/>Also mind we didn't order soup and dessert.<br/><br/>Over all its a nice place to hang out, have tasty food and its actually worth it. But the approximations have to be updated.
Anirban Roy
Got conned by ratings of this place. Strictly average place. Food was a big let down. We ordered 5 dishes out of which two were hideous, 2 average and one was good but the mashed potato served along with had a very coarse texture. Staff was friendly though. Not going back to this place again.
Priyanshi Agrawal
Very bad pizza <br/>Half cooked with very few vegetables and toppings<br/>They should really improve themselves <br/>And moreover the food took a lot of time to get dilevered

Good Italian food here!!! Ambiance is good too.<br/>Their peri peri chicken is my favorite. Have come here twice and food has been really delicious.<br/>Will come back soon.
Ritu Samdani
So after crossing this place multiple times finally made it to this place. The food didn't disappoint at all neither did the service nor the ambiance. The only thing I was uncomfortable with was probably the location. But now I know where to order in from!
Praveen Ramaswamy
The seafood here is outstanding! The produce is fresh, recipe original and preparation precise. Hemanth helped us make some great choices on the menu! Must try the Spaghetti and Meatballs, Aglio Olio Pasta, Crab Topped Basa and Sticky Toffee with Ice Cream

Pepper Cafe is an awesome place to chill and have a good time having the most "awesomest" steaks and pizzas.. Really nice place to visit.. the food was amazingly delicious.<br/>
Sharon
Pizza aqua was not good. Seafood was stinking. However chicken pizzas were great. Starters were pretty decent. Though didn't like BBQ Chicken wings as they were very sweet.
Tejal Sj
Pepper cafe mite go unnoticed because of its location.. But the place is nicely done , neat ambience gives a homely feel .. A special mention about their sangria collection , it's really good esp the misty sangria is very different. Tried their creamy mushroom soup , prawns for starters which was really fresh and tasted really good . They have some hand tossed pasta with herbs which is worth a try. The banofie pie was delicious :) Try and locate this place on google maps and do try it out :) It's value for money :)
Nikita Luke
Pepper cafe has a nice cozy ambience. The space is divided into two levels , and it's all well lit and warm. <br/>The menu has a good choice of options for both veg and non veg eaters. <br/>It is slightly expensive but their food makes it's all worth!
Malavika Menon
Pepper café in Ulsoor had one of the best reviews in the place and thus went straight into my bookmarks until I got a chance to try it out. The restaurant is two storied, widely set, but I'm not quite sure about their parking allowance. As such, it's located smack in the centre of the main road and must attract wide clientele. <br/><br/>Service here isn't slow, and the food was marvellous. A special mention goes out to their Grilled seafood crostinis which simply made my day. All their dishes are prepared well, and the variety is large. <br/><br/>The food is affordable and more importantly worth the amount. This has got to be one of my most favourite café experiences till date.
Nishith
Great food every single time. Both home delivery and at the restaurant experiences have been most satisfying. My most reliable option at all times.
Raja Vignesh
I'm really surprised to see this restaurant get such amazing reviews... Wonder how I landed up at the wrong side of this place..<br/>We went here on a Friday evening... And it was empty...The ppl are friendly... And the ambience has a good upmarket feel...<br/>We ordered the chicken soup which was weirdly bland... The cream of Spinach soup was equally flavourless...<br/>For starters we had chicken wings, chicken tourettes mushroom buttons and Cajun cheese sticks... The sticks were under cooked, the mushroom was salty, the wings were certainly decent... But weirdly all of them were just lukewarm...<br/>Our main course was a veg pizza.. which was just about OK... Again cold.... The chicken lasagna though was really good... Wonderful flavours and creamy cheese... The arabiata pasta was extremely dry with no sauce served..<br/>A disappointing experience... A birthday treat ruined...<br/>Adios...

Have been here a few times now, a regular customer. Keep coming back for their Arabian flatbreads, especially the spinach and red pepper hummus. Their South African peri peri chicken is a treat. The Korean spiced beef is also a must-try

I have been to pepper cafe on several occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Crab soup , pizzas, pastas and desserts that are made by the owner is a must try here.

Delicious food and a chill environment. Not too much crowd.. quiet place to enjoy good food.. try the cilantro sauce veg steak. Really good!

Worst food I have eaten ever. We were the only customers there on a Sunday evening. First, we ordered chicken soup which was pretty sad. In starters, we ordered chicken wings and they were so bad we felt like puking. Chicken had skin and was not even properly cooked. At this point we thought of leaving but had already ordered Pery Pery chicken and chicken burger. So, left with no choice but try them too. Our biggest mistake. Anyways, we packed most of the food for street dogs and leave this awful place asap.<br/><br/>Never try it. Hope it shuts down soon.

Walking down St.Johns Road, there are high chances that you might miss spotting this cafe. However, google maps is a savior. The soothing ambience of the cafe will definitely attract you here, they proudly mention about the decors on first page of their menu card as well. The menu is interestingly curated, each and every recipe being made to perfection. Wild mushroom soup, Arabian Spike Flat bread, Chicken Steak in Burgundy mushroom sauce are some of their best preparations. I am a regular visitor here and there are lot many things I want to try. Hope to write some more interesting things about you- Pepper! :)

Nice place to hang out with friends ✌😎...good collection of wine and cocktails.........đŸ·đŸč. Loved the seafood starters available and specially the side salads.

At Pepper Cafe, it’s all about the food. I have seen a lot of places in Bangalore where the decor and ambiance is extra-ordinary, but the food just doesn’t fit the bill. Here they have left it to the food to do all the talking, when your food arrives, all else is forgotten. Located very close to the Lemon tree Hotel in Ulsoor, the place might be a little difficult to find if you’re not familiar with the area. A small place, two-storeyed, what strikes you when you enter is the huge poster of Santorini. Well, what can I say, they sure know my holiday preferences. In terms of decor, they’ve tried to bring in a bit of old world charm, I love the huge windows and wooden staircase, but the bar area and seating could use some improvement.

Dropped by for lunch on a Sunday. And I was surprised to be the only person there. Tried their peri peri chicken and it turned out to be very good, as it is rightly said by a lot of people. <br/>The location is not that awesome, but the restaurant is a place to be.<br/>Service, was pathetic. Being a foodie and new being welcomed in a lot of places, I don't think I'm ever visit them again. :)

Wonderful place. The music was apt for the kind of food they serve. <br/>Lets talk about the food first - it was tasty to the core. We had veg skewers and Portuguese fish and both were nothing like we tasted before. The chef has a unique skill for it.<br/>Now about drinks - we were a bit apprehensive about sangrias, although we had heard a lot about it. Then the guy there explained to us how they make it and that they serve it in a beer mug. Then there was no more thinking. We ordered the MystiCal and Cabernet. Both were out of the world. We were sad we couldn't order a pitcher cuz it was just of us. <br/>Great food and awesomer sangrias. Definitely a must visit.

An awesome cafe that serves awesome food. Chilled out ambiance, Awesome staff and great collection of food are the highlights of this place. We tried the Minestrone Soup(Above Average), Stuffed Potato skins(Average),  Peppers cafe Veggie sizzler(Above Average) and Chocolate Brownie with ice cream(excellent). I feel the quantity was way too less for the pricing.<br/>Ambiance: 4.5/5<br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Staff: 4.5/5<br/>Value for money: 3.5/5

Absolutely loved the food and ambience here! Sangria is a must have. We ordered the teriyaki prawns, Grilled Portuguese fish, special chicken and multiple starters. The Grilled Portuguese fish was my favorite. The excellent service makes you feel at home. We got a surprise birthday cake at the end of the meal as well! Thank you for the great food and service :)

The place to find truly yummy European and Continental food. We had the Brazilian Chicken and Spanish Prawns. Both of them are highly recommended! Also, don't forget the Sangria!

Fabulous food..Sangrias are a must try. The staff is friendly and warm. Completely deserves a 4 rating. Prawns were excellent. so was the Brazilian chicken

An awesome place having a great ambience. Ideal place to hop in after tiring shopping experience at commercial street . Offers great pasta, pizza and nachos. Drinks were average.
Phenomenal World
Was invited to taste the offerings of Pepper Cafe in Ulsoor, Run by Jimcy and her family, it has a nice old world feel with wooden interior finish and a wooden staircase that goes to an upper level. After the introductions and photographs of we started off with some mocktails.  Green apple and watermelon were very refreshing and balanced.  Then there were the sangrias with Red and White wine. The red one had a beautiful spicy notes of cinnamon..

"Below was my initial review which I gave 1 star. I have changed it to 3 stars only because I just got a call from the owner of the restaurant who very nicely apologized and heard me out and understood where I was coming from. Thank you! I appreciate your response and fingers crossed this doesn't happen to you again. Now I will visit or order from you again. "<br/><br/><br/><br/>So I really didn't want to do this because this review isn't about their food. I never got any. This about how shocked I am with the service of this restaurant. <br/>7.55pm I place an order online through Zomato. Avg delivery time 45 mins, so I'm guessing about an hour. They accept my order and set delivery as 8.56pm. <br/>8.55 pm I call them. A man answers and very curtly states that the delivery guy had just left. Ok. So I wait. <br/>9.35 pm still no sign of him. I chat with Zomato who very helpfully got info and said my food will reach in 5-7 mins. Gave me the guys number. And apologized. I'm still ok waiting. <br/>9.55 pm it's been 2 hours since I ordered. The delivery guy isn't picking up. Zomato helps. Still nothing. So now I'm mad. The management said they'd call me. They didn't. They weren't picking up my call or Zomato's call. <br/>2.20 mins after what was supposed to be a nice dinner at home, I had to order from another restaurant. <br/><br/>22.40 - their delivery guy calls and says he's near my house. I sent him back. <br/><br/>Pepper cafe - atleast call me! Tel me you are busy or delayed. It's just decency. And more importantly, don't accept the online order is you can't deliver it. I'm really shocked at this behavior. It's sad but I'm most definitely not going to ever eat here, irrespective of how good their food is.<br/>

Team lunch again. Lots of ordering. Again. Pepper cafe did manage to hold its own, with minor hiccups. The soups were tasty but could have used a little less corn flour. The wings were tasty too but not crispy. Pizzas had mixed reviews on the table but I liked them. Right amount of thin and right amount of crisp. The minced mutton lamb pizza was horrible though. The mutton mince being undercooked. The burgers were decent. The veggie sizzler had a humongous veggie patty which was cooked well but could have used slightly less seasoning. For dessert, we had brownie and ice cream, Caramel custard and sticky toffee pudding. Brownie was regular, custard decent and pudding not sticky. Give this place a try if you are in the vicinity!

This place was quite empty when we reached there. So we ordered our food skeptically. But the peri peri chicken was amazing! The soup was great too! But the caesar salad but extremely bad. But the good is very reasonably priced and the place is decent.

we ordered from Pepper Cafe and first - it took 1 Hr 10 Mins to deliver, second they DO NOT send disposable Spoons / Forks with their continental menu - you are supposed to eat everything by hand or get your spoon from home!!! logic provided - they dont use plastic spoons but deliver food in plastic packs !!Abt the food, its average - the Chefs salad was horrible ( it was bland and soggy ), mashed potato was lumpy and under cooked.. in short Poor food and equally poor delivery experience - eating continental food with hand / hunting for spoons in office - priceless!!!

I have been here for quite some time now and this place never disappoints. Grill chicken is awesome, that gravy poured on grill chicken is something awesome. Makes me drool thinking about it. Also do check on today's special menu.

Had been to Pepper cafe for dinner with fly; thoroughly enjoyed the food; ambience is very good after renovation and great service. Would give 5 for food quality, presentation, ambience & service. Would love even more if they can increase the spread.

very bad food. home delivery was pathetic.  the pizza was cold.  the delivery boy doesnt have change for Rs 500/- the bill was for Rs. 390. forthis amount i expected a decent size pizza, but it was very small.  would fill the stomach of a 5 year old child.  extremely disappointed.

I am writing the review once again as i felt after this visit that i must edit it, the food is good but average, the ambience is okay and the staff is warm & welcoming. I had banoffee pie last time and became its huge fan but this time it was not at all good, i regretted my decision of ordering it for myself.

Great place to kick back and enjoy a glass of wine. The food was amazing and they don't skimp on the portions. To my surprise there was live music too. Overall a great experience, will definitely be going for another round soon.

Just after lemon tree hotel, you have to drive another 200 meters. They are going through with renovation while my visit that's why not able to click the picture of the ambiance. If the food is really good who needs the ambiance. Very courteous staff service is good but doesn't expect the service of any fine dine. <br/>   In food, I got Five spiced and black pepper tossed prawns really yummy. The veggies with that cooked with the perfection. Five spice powder is nothing but a mixture of Star anise, cloves, Chinese cinnamon, schezwan pepper and fennel. The main course of mine is fish full of seafood. Grilled lemon garlic fish. As all other eateries providing the basa they also provided the same fish but all other sides are really good.<br/>   Apart from all another thing I got to know one thing from a young lady. We are destroying nature by using straws guys I had a thought as well. If we don't use straw can't we drink our beverage? Is this that much necessary? Please think.<br/>   I must say must visit food joint in town.<br/>Bon Appetite @Chef BB

This is not the first time that we have been to Pepper Cafe on St. Johns road. And it definitely will not be the last.<br/><br/>It is a rather quite and unassuming place - one may not give a second look passing by - with rather subdued ambience inside (could be a bit brighter maybe).<br/><br/>Main seating is upstairs - although there are a few table in the lower floor I have never seen anyone sit there during any of my visits. <br/><br/>The menu of this place is rather unique - not the same dishes that you will find in other restaurants. They have adequate vegetarian options too. <br/><br/>We tried the tomato chilli and basil soup, with Mozzarella Mexican baked Idaho chilli bean gratin potatoes with herbed cream dip and blackened grilled Cajun spiced cottage cheese mini steaks with cipolte dressing.<br/><br/>Soup and starters were good in terms of concept flavour etc.. However, I wish they would have retained some more moisture in the paneer - it was very dry inside. <br/><br/>For the main course we have vegetable steak in cilantro sauce (not in the menu - special for the day) and assorted tempura veggies topped with Vietnamese garlic sauce. The cilantro sauce was really amazing, and both the main course dishes especially the veg steak, were great. The Vietnamese sauce with the tempura is rather spicy, which may not suit everyone's palate. I really enjoyed it though. <br/><br/>Since we had someone in the group who would not eat mushroom they offered to make the dishes (which normally has mushroom) without it. Service was excellent throughout. <br/><br/>They did not have any eggless desserts so could not have desserts. However the overall experience was really good.<br/><br/>Pepper cafe is definitely a place a foodie should visit in Bangalore - it is a unique experience. No great frills, just good food.

Pepper Cafe... Read about the 80's live band being played yesterday and got hooked ... I started listening to English songs with the hits from 80's "Buffalo Soldier... Think twice ..." Oops I forgot to talk about the food which was the highlight... We are veggies and my family loves Fungi.. Or Mushrooms... The Grilled Mushroom Fricassee and the Stuffed Potatoes were mouth watering. The food portions were generous and with music playing the songs u like ... They just melt in. Main course was Spinach Chick pea Feta rolls which had that maxing crunch and Mushroom (again) lasagna. All this was washed down with some lovely Shangri-La drink which was a concoction using white wine. Ended up with a chef s signature dessert Banoffee Pie was to die for. But let me tell u they are best known for their pastas sea food and pizzas. Get ur families and enjoy a nice meal!!

Super friendly staff and amazing service . Food was great  ! Garlic, Lime pepper broth hit the  right notes on flavors and taste ! Chicken satay was a standout starter ! <br/>We had main courses family style .. ordered 3 of them and shared .. all 3 of them outstanding  .. Amazing thin crust pizza - Sicilian chicken , Chicken ( thyme marinated grilled chicken)  was succulent   and Tempura veggies was the best of the lot . <br/><br/>Definitely will go back !! and try  more !   Forgot to mention the Banofee pie .. dessert of the day was very well made and a fitting finale  !

Always a great experience ordering from /eating at this place. Staff is super friendly and go out of their way to make sure your experience is amazing!! I've ordered in a couple of times and they still remember my address and usual order a year later!! Such a personal touch! Food is great! My favorite is the mixed seafood pasta and the spinach salad..

Pepper Cafe is located on St.Johns Road Ulsoor. It is about 200 meters ahead of the Lemon tree Premier Hotel. I went there with a few friends for lunch. They serve very generous portions of food which works for me as I can work on a generous appetite too.<br/><br/>We ordered the Mexican Potatoes for starters - Beef, Peri Peri Chicken and the Mushroom Risotto for the main course. The Mashed Potatoes which came as a side with the dish was given equal attention. One would just want to have mashed potatoes for the main course.  <br/><br/>I got a chance to meet the Owner and the Chef of the cafe who introduced herself and said that it had been three months since she had acquired it. <br/><br/>As she makes the desserts herself, she asked me to try the Brownie and the  Bannoffee Pie as they were her specialty. True to her words, the dessert was simply out of the world! Would definitely love to go back for more Mashed Potatoes and Bannoffee.

Located approximately 150-200 meters ahead of the Ulsoor Lemon tree hotel, the place could be spotted quite easily. The restaurant is a 2 storey setup with ample seating arrangements on both the floors. We were a group of around 10-12 people and one of our friends had urged us to visit this place and try out various dishes across the cuisines offered.<br/><br/>To start with, we ordered the Mexican Red Wine Sangria which was quite delightful and raised the expectations for the food items which were to follow and thankfully we weren't disappointed. The following food items and desserts are surely recommended:<br/><br/>Barcelona Prawns<br/><br/>Shepherd delight<br/><br/>Grilled Thyme marinated Chicken Breast<br/><br/>Grilled lemon garlic chicken<br/><br/>Grilled butterfly beef Steaks<br/><br/>Pepper Cafe Spicy Chicken Ariabatta tossed with a choice of pasta<br/><br/>Special Oreo cheesecake<br/><br/>Overall, it was a very good experience and definitely recommended. On a scale of 5 <br/><br/>Food & Drinks : 5<br/><br/>Ambience : 4<br/><br/>Presentation : 4<br/><br/>Service : 5

I visited Peper cafe on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. I had heard alot about the place from my friends who had recently visited too. The food and ambience were homely and it felt like I was back home with my family. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was impeccable. I must recommend the banofee pie which was made by the owner's wife. For a person who doesn't like bananas I absolutely loved it :-) If you are looking for a restaurant to spend the afternoon with that special someone or a lively catch up session with your friends Peper cafe is the place. Please visit soon :-)

Pepper Cafe is located approximately 200 meters ahead of the Ulsoor Lemon tree hotel. It's on the main road as you march little ahead of the hotel, the place could be spotted quite easily. The restaurant has a ground floor and there is a seating arrangement on the first floor as well.<br/>The menu offers a miscellany of continental and sea food cuisines. From basas to salmons - they have everything.  We ordered the tangy crab soup and spinach and chicken soup . The delicate flavour of the crab came through and the spinach and chicken soup had a warm feeling to it .

I took a group of 20 hungry, food enthusiasts to Pepper Cafe one bright Sunday afternoon and we had a great lunch.<br/><br/>From the cheery greeting from the owners when we entered to the lovely ambience and setting of the restaurant, we were seated happily even though we were starving.<br/><br/>They accomodated 20 of us very comfortably and soon we were given menus and told specials by the entire family that runs the restaurant. It was such a nice change from waiters who couldn't care to know your name to be asked what dish we want by a cheerful little girl, who proudly claimed that the Sangria at Pepper cafe was the best in town. And she was right. <br/><br/>We ordered practically everything ont he menu. From pastas, to chicken, beef, prawns, pizza and ofcourse sangria. Lots of sangria.<br/><br/>The food was amazing. Every dish has a unique flavour, its brought to the table piping hot and the flavours explode in the mouth.<br/>The afternoon ended with us meeting the chef and staff that had served us the beautiful meal.

This is probably the worst-food-yet-overpriced place. Had read good reviews about the place and the place looked good too.<br/><br/>We went for lunch and there were just 2 more people apart from us which was quite surprising.<br/><br/>It is supposed to be an Italian place. We ordered the Dual flavoured spinach beetroot hummus with garlic bread and a tomato-chilly and basil soup. Also the chef asked us to try the home-made red wine.<br/><br/>Tasting them, we forced ourselves to finish these (though it was not much). We finally cancelled the pizza which we had ordered and shelled out money which was absolutely not worth.<br/><br/>I was appalled to actually see the reviews after I ate.<br/><br/>My suggestion: Please do not go here until you are in a mood to splurge money on pathetic food.

Really disappointed with the food, ordered online post seeing the rating. First and foremost the food was stone cold, had to heat every thing again, the side of a dish was missing. Orders chicken bites, pan fried mushrooms, pizza, crostini and Arabiata pasta. The chicken was over cooked and rubbery. The rest of the food was just average

Pepper cafe is located in a unexpected and quiet area . Our large family was looking for such a place to have a quiet dinner in.   We ordered the tangy crab soup and spinach and chicken soup . The delicate flavour of the crab came through and the spinach and chicken soup had a warm feeling to it .<br/>For the main course we ordered the Shepherd's delight and the roast beef and feta cheese special .Both were good but nothing extraodinary . We also ordered the Spicy grilled Prawns and grilled lemon prawns tossed in herbs . The grilled spicy prawns was the star of the night with flavourful elements and a nice presentation , the grilled lemon prawns tossed in herbs had the promised flavours but was dry and more like noodles . <br/>                              The waiters guided us through the menu courteously . Whether intended or not ( the place mats described different types of peppers) ,the food left a peppery warmth in a pleasant way . We skipped dessert as we were kind of overloaded . The ambience was cozy and comfortable and the personal care the management and staff took to make us comfortable was commendable .<br/>                              We would definitely think of stepping in when we our in that side of town .

Went to Pepper cafe last evening with my family who were visiting from Mumbai. We ordered the spinach and chicken soup and mushroom soup. Both were excellent, esp the spinach and chicken soup. Very flavourful and wholesome. It comes with Garlic bread. For starters we ordered the idaho potato and chicken. Me being vegetarian, loved the potato starter.<br/>Main course  we had 2 thin crust pizzas, 2 pasta dishes, a beef steak and a vegetarian dish containing mushrooms.<br/>We were 8 of us and the portions were good enough to feed the entire group and had some left over.<br/>The food was really good. The hospitality was A one.<br/>Will definitely go again and try some of the other dishes as well.

As they say, the first impression is the last impression. I didn't visit the place, but ordered for home delivery.I ordered only one appetizer (grilled garlic prawns) and one main course (grilled thyme chicken breast). To be honest, it was a rip-off. Going by the menu, one would calculate the bill to be 498 Rs. But in the end I had to pay Rs 650. Wah.The grilled garlic prawns were good, but the quantity was TOO SMALL. As for the grilled thyme chicken breast, unfortunately I did not like the gravy as it tasted just like my mom's regular home-made chicken qorma. Lol.The menu is very interesting and I would have otherwise given this place another shot - but I won't. The prices have put me off.
