Review Mdp Coffee House - Bengaluru

We decided to get a dose of MDP after reading the excellent reviews. The restaurant lived up to our expectations both in terms of food and service. The regulars on the menu are a variety of South Indian breakfast items such as dosa, idli, vada, pongal, etc. The MDP Special Double Roast Dosa was the day's speciality, and it was delicious too. The vadas were probably one of the smoothest that I've tasted. Worth a detour when travelling around Hoskote.

A good coffee place to relax in the evenings. Right next to it is a library. Located in a calm atmosphere making it a good place to have coffee in leisure.

This is good place for spending your evening. We had MDP special masala dosa and coffee. Both the items were too good and cooked to perfection.

It is located near om shree circle has a good atmosphere around it, it has open area where people can sit and have there breakfast or lunch. I had been here during the evening. I have Tasted Butter masala dosa and Veg cheese sandwich which was very tasty and the prices are on average and they have maintained hygiene and cleaness. I suggest this hotel mainly for the breakfast or evening snacks and usually crowded during weekends.

Food was excellent. Only draw backs were 1. Absolutely no parking space 2. The lone toilet is on the 4th floor with no lift facility yet. So venture there only if you can foot it and have very strong bladder/ legs ..

Best hotel in Hoskote for breakfast, they use healthy items to cook their food. No soda added to idli/dosa's hence stomach doesn't go bad after having food here.

One of the nice cafes in Hoskote.. very nice ambience and wonderful food. I came to know that owner is very particular abou the food they serve. Apparently the food is prepared by the vegitables grown in their own farm. Completely pesticide free and organic. There is a small library attached and a beutiful place to spend evenings

A nice vegetarian hotel serving traditional southern food. Coffee and Herbal Tea are good. A lot of space inside and outside the hotel thus giving this place a very different ambience. Phone based payment accepted here.

I have Tasted Butter masala dosa & tasted ghee masala dona ,which was very tasty and the prices are on average and they have maintained hygiene and cleaness.

Great Coffee and snacks. It is affordable and good. Stopped here on the way back to charge up my Ather and charged myself up with coffee and Maddur vada.

Food is tasty and hygenic. Most of us like the tea, coffee and maddur vade. there is also a library to read.

A decent place very neatly maintained loved the fact that they used purified water for everything, we had tried vada with sambar and mushroom biriyani , filter coffee , lemon tea, kesari bath. The vada was good and the mushroom biriyani was excellent and the kesari bath was fantastic and the coffee was ok and the lemon tea was not up to the point.<br/>And it's a decent elegant coffee shop in jaynagar loved this place totally, the ambiance was cool well maintained, will surely come back to try more food again😊👍🏽

The cashier was not attentive at all. He doesn't even know what is there in the menu. Kept looking at his phone. They dont even have a menu anywhere. Food and coffee is below average. Dosa was neither crispy nor tasty. Vada wasnt hot or crispy. Kesari bath is very bad. Seating isn't comfortable at all.

Being fan of thier outlet in jayanagar 5th block, expected a similar food but to my dismay food was stale. Idly was turning yellow and chutney was not fresh. Vada was cold. Not sure if franchise is not good at maintaining the quality but wants to make quick money

Had been there for morning breakfast. Vada was very crisp and good. Idly was ok but chutney should be improved. It was saltless and spiceless. For us chutney taste is very important with idlys.

So passing by, Found this to be a coffee n snack shop! Service is fast, No seating, place looks clean and place is clean...and whatever we ate was tasty...n that’s all that matters in the coffee outlets..:had their idli vada, Lemon tea and a coffee...it was good! The chutney is not runny and got good flavour...though me not liking idlis, This was good! Yea, lemon tea❤️ always ...yea, very reasonable

Wonderful place to have good food with hygienic environment and affordable price... I really love this place to have a gr8 coffee along with Madur vada... Excellent taste .. dosa as well as idly both r awesome... Khara bath and sweet bath tastes very good... Totally an excellent south indian traditional place for snacks and coffee... I just love it...

Had been here at around 8 pm ily one idli was left😒so ordered one idli n karabath. Both were good idli was very soft n upma was too good. Next time will go early. Cost wise it's decent. Limited menu. Well maintained.

A typical south corner for all those who crave for South Indian idly, dosa and coffee. Idly n chatney is good. But my personal favourite is karabath with coffee combo. I find the coffee little strong than usual, but still after a hot karabath it elevates the experience. The place is always neat and well maintained. No long waiting times, customers are always attended too in a quick yet good service. At service hall, the wordings keep changing as per season or festival or important info, that a nice concept. Over all a very good experience!

A small but spacious place for having amazing coffee. This place also serves Idli, vada, Maddur vada, Pongal, Khara Bhaath and dosas. The only thing missing is Sambaar. Went there for the first time yesterday and my family enjoyed the food here. The food here is both fresh and delicious.

Tasty but limited menu... Whatever they are serving it tastes delicious.. Their filter coffee definitely tops the list! Its a darshini style place with not much space but the service is quick.. Will go for their khara baath next time..

Very limited menu but whatever available is quite tasty and fresh. Kharabath and masala dosa are must try here. Loved their coffee as well. Well maintained place, Staffs are also good and responsive. Not very spacious, crowded at times. Although good place for coffee and a quick bite.

And I know every1 will be in search of filter coffee In the morning and in evening.. correct?! I and my friend was just searching for coffee shops... we tried in so many places ... but the mdp coffee house was the best for its Dosa and filter coffee- e1 the last sip of the coffee is so satisfied- and their tagline is just perfect and says as "satisfaction in every sip"Hygienic and the best -lucky to have 1 in south Bangalore ... We had masala dosa,medu vada,tea and coffee from here.Tea was good and all others are ok.Can do better in terms of taste and service.Totally an average experience

A good place to have hot and crispy idli vadas and delicious kharabath. Service is fast and clean. However, they didn't have many dishes available from the menu. Hope this doesn't happen again

This is only south indian hotel where you get only Idli and Khara bath (Upma) most of the times along with coffee, tea and milk.Its more like competition to Taaza thindi but it fails to reach that in gaining popularity.This hotel also uses high class cleaning facilities for utensils and maintenance.<br/>It's just a small place to fill your tummy where in you feel so slothy to explore more good restaurants nearby.The place gets crowded though as people tend more towards hot beverages especially filter coffee !!! A place that I frequent for the coffee that they make! I love the coffee. Not too sweet. Just the way I like it. <br/><br/>Do try the idli and the chutney. Idlis are soft and the chutney is tangy. Also, the vadas. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. Reasonably priced and great location. Love the feel of sitting around the tree and eating:)

It felt the cost we paid for the food is not matched with the quantity and quality they provide. Coffee is good but as said price is not matched for the quantity, it’s small for that price.

Try coffee here. You'll never try it again. <br/>I thought that much will suffice but zomato wants me to write more so ya. The coffee here has 0 froth, it's like an Indian espresso with old milk, with quantity as little as it can get.

A good place for coffee lovers with a kharabath or idli combo.. The taste of items and service quality is better.. There is a open space under the tree to sit and sip the coffee with cool breeze sweeping in..

A fine darshini cafe for all. Good idlies: thick, soft and smooth ones, aided by nice tasty flowing chutney. Vada was small but crispy and tasty. Kharabath was more watery. The morning Pongal was typical Karnataka style: very fluidic, but had bits of pepper and green chillies. Coffee is good. Ambience is very modest, chic and contemporary, neat and clean. Nice to go after some walking or jogging. Parking is easy.

Ordered Maddur Vada and Coffee. <br/><br/>The coffee was hot and had all the ingredients to work as a mood elevator 👍😀 The sugar was perfect too, unlike many other joints where too little or no sugar is added. <br/><br/>The maddur vada could have been better. The distinctive flavours of 'maddur' were missing . Peanuts were in my opinion too many thus dampening the whole experience. Filter coffee served in a glass tumbler for ₹10? Perfect! Various snacks such as idli and vadas available, although I did not try them. The place is usually crowded with older folk. Not much arrangements to sit down. Overall, it's a good place to grab a quick cup of coffee.

Offers variety of idly and coffee. You don't get dosa here. They offer filter coffee in a steel tumbler that gives it more authentic feel . The size of idly or vada is very small which is disappointing. Mostly crowded and the place is congested.

Opted for a maddur wada + idli + coffee combo. The maddur wada was served from a batch that looked and tasted about 2 days old, the idly was not fluffy and quite soggy, the chutney was nothing great to write home about. The coffee was the only saving grace. Do yourself a favour, spend a bit extra and hop in to A2B next door from some sumptuous breakfast.

Cool place to hangout wid friends or steal a few moments alone. Menu is not all that lengthy but just rite. The coffee and tea are awsome and the masala vada crunchy n tasty. For me it's a kind of old charm of a simple coffee joint. Ohh pretty easy on ur pocket.

MDP next to Shalini grounds is a nice small outlet for a quick snack with tea/coffee break. Everything that's served here is delicious, be it Vada, Idli or Kharabhat. MDP Coffee House <br/>Located next to A2b on 10th main road, 38th cross Road. <br/>They have a very simple menu where Hot Beverages, Herbal Tea, Health Drinks, Cold Beverages, Snacks, Lassi and Combos. <br/>Ordered Masala Idly Combo, where it had Single Masala Idly, Vada and any hot Beverages. <br/>Masala Idly and vada were too small in the appearance. <br/>Chutney was ok upto the mark and ordered for Bournvita for hot Beverage. <br/>Recommend for quick and small bite.

I was here last week for quick breakfast. The place was so welcoming, though i got some negative feedback about the place. The place looks simple and neat! This is definitely not for people who would like to order food from Massive menu. The dishes here are very simple and minimal. I ordered Idly and Vada, both were not so good. Well, the reason i stated was because of below things.<br/>1. Idly was hard and chutney was bland.<br/>2. Vada was lack of crispiness and it tasted something like double fried ones<br/>3.
