Review Shubh Sweets & Chats - Bengaluru

Piyush Innani
The food was great, but the chai wasn't that great. Pani puri stall here is the most crowded. People are mad about it which is justified to some extent once you taste it. Raj Kachori & Jalebi with rabdi were the highlight for me Gulkand kulfi was also good

Had a satisfying visit to Shubh Sweets Savouries Chaats on 27th Main Road, HSR Layout, Bangalore. The Aloo Paratha combo was a delight – tasty and fulfilling. The only minor hiccup was the chai; it could have been better, but it didn't overshadow the overall experience. The ambience was pleasant, creating a comfortable setting for a casual meal. The service was commendable, with the staff being prompt and courteous. Moreover, the cleanliness of the place added to the positive impression. In essence, Shubh Sweets Savouries Chaats offers a solid dining experience. The Aloo Paratha combo is a winner, and though the chai could use a bit of improvement, it's not a major issue. With good ambience, prompt service, and a clean environment, this restaurant on 27th Main Road is definitely worth a visit – a 4.5-star rating from me!

It's very good place near HSR to have all kind of chats across our nation, just try to vist within 9:30pm after that they might be wrapping up. Food quality n taste is good, they have self-service option so it's ok. Overall it's good u can give it a try.

OmG such a nice one in this area. I love their varieties of pani puri where they serve 5 types of pani. I have even tried their jalebi, masala puri, vadapav and love all the items there. Always it's crowded in the evening. But must visit place
Laya Lasya
Parathas, chole bhatura, the pani puri with varities of pani is a must try here. Chats and sweets are equally good. Weekends are super crowded however service is fast.
Kriti Agarwal
Visited multiple times only for Jalebi Rabdi. Their Pani Puri is not satisfactory. Despite of serving 5 different flavoursome of Pani yet none of them compels you to have more. And the aloo filling was tasteless. Paneer Momos was better than Pani Puri.
Siddharth Sikri
Had a quick weekend breakfast here. The service was quick since the place wasn't crowded but the food was great! We tried the Puri sabji, aloo tikki chole chaat and dahi tikki chaat. The tikkis were crisp which is something you will not find everywhere. I definitely recommend this spot for chaats!

The pani puri here was really amazing. One of the best ones I have had in Bangalore no doubt. They have 5 different types of paani, all of them are amazing. They give 7 puris and 1 Suka puri for ₹50. Definitely worth it💯. Must try. I rate it a 5/5.

The shop was great and has great ambiance. The place is so clean and well maintained. It is very accessible and the parking is mostly available. Let’s come to the service. No issues at all. They responded politely and explained the items neatly. Well when it comes to the actual food, sweets are great. The only problem I have is that the chats are too sweet. It’s my personal taste that I like chats when they are spicy. So it’s the only thing I don’t like. Overall it’s a good experience. I recommend it.

A must visit chaat restaurant in HSR Layout. Being from north india finding a good chat corner in Bangalore is almost impossible. Even the priciest places in south don't know how to make a proper chaat or pani puri. But this place is better than those other chat restaurants in Bangalore. You'll get quick service. The chilli water in pani puri was good. I would recommend it.

Momos and pani puri were yummy. 2 counters were open for pani puri. Very clean and professional. 2 wheeler parking in front of the shop. By the side of the road. 4 wheeler parking opposite side of the road.

Shubh chaat has one of the best gol gappas in HSR. They also serve a variety of chaats and Indian sweets. The quality, taste and price are all good.
Drkiranmallya
No crowd maintenance, no social distancing, seating arrangement too close to each other, no sanitizers provided anywhere in the establishment, over priced and not so worthy food for that price

I was craving badly for some sweets. This place is nearby, so I visited the shop to satiate my cravings. I hv been to this place earlier for their famous Jalebis. This was my fourth visit but as that was an odd timing ,so couldn’t get hold of the jalebis. Instead of that I ordered
1.Kala jamun- 4/5
2.Rasmalai- 2/5
3.Motichoor laddoo-1/5
4.Samosas-4/5
What I liked:
1. Clean and hygienic ambience
2. Staff was wearing masks and gloves
3. Samosa, Kala Jamun and Jalebi
What I didn’t like
1. Prices are quite high as compared to the quality
2. Motichoor laddu was a big let down

Hippie Foodster
A bit dissatisfied and disappointed. I bought rasmalai today and I could not believe it they sold me stale spoiled food in Covid times. I had to throw away all of it. What a waste of money and no dessert after dinner is bigger disappointment.

The pani puri is decent - actually there is such less competition that it doesn’t take a lot to become the best of the lot, but it’s strictly ok.
Cannot even compare to haldiram’s or bikanevala but guess this is one of the decent places to visit for chaat in this area.

Delicious pani puri which js available with differet flavours of water and the kulfi is tasty too!

Tried Shubh Sweets in HSR recently. Located opposite to NIFT this place is jam packed during weekends. Seating is a problem here as there is no exaust inside and you feel suffocated.

We tried their Pani Puri which comes with 5 types of water - Chilli, jeera, pudina, sweet and saunf. The chilli was really spicy. The Pudina and Saunf were very subtle.

Next we had the Aloo Tikki chaat. The tikki was crisp and the chaat was good in taste. But dont miss out on their Jalebi and Rabri combination. The jalebi are made in ghee and were crisp to the core. The rabri was great too.

We tr

Veg momos are yummy with more stuff and less maida.😋

On multiple occasions we had ordered chats, jalebi, golguppa and chai. Never once we were disappointed with the food and taste. Their kachori could be better because on one such occasion it was soggy and slightly cold.
Abhishek Hota
I paid money for a plate of veg momos and the it was taking them a long duration of time to heat it up.
I had to go to the office hence asked for a refund/a ticket so that I could collect the same Tomo. The bald guy at the desk made up some absurd reason so I had to leave. Wasted both my money and time
Pink Ribbon
The crowd milling outside this joint is sure to draw others. With a little patience you can enjoy great chaat and tea thereafter. I liked the dahi puri we ordered but I wasn't too fond of the Behl Puri (I found it dry and lacking ingredients like boiled potatoes, raw mangoes, peanuts). But there is a whole lot like sweets, thali, chole, chaats that I have yet to try. It's a little tight for space but the service is pretty quick and that keeps things moving.
Indradeep Hayaran
Extremely overrated and unnecessarily over expensive. Tried chat, panipuri, lassi, tea, jalebi, momoes...none worth eating. Street food is much much better than this. Highly un-recommended

Great Place to have a typical North India style delicious sweet with friends and family. It's a small place but from quality and hygiene point of view it is good.

The ambiance of the place is very ordinary but food is good...i especially loved the hot jalebi. The jalebi are freshly made and test was awesome, extremely crispy and juicy and this place is famous for panipuri too. the panipuri is superb .They serves panipuri water of 5 types(jeera, chilli, mint, saunf and sweet)..My personal favorite is chilli.

The pricing is extremely pocket friendly.
.
.
highly recommended place for all jalebi &panipuri lovers in #Bangalore and If anyone is visiting to Bangalore.
.
..Make sure to follow me here and on Instagram : tfcvloggerand
Watch ghee jalebi video to my youtube channel:
NALLAVLOGGER

Without a doubt, the best Pani poori junction in the vicinity.
Everything else is Good ,liked the jalebi-rabdi,Ghewar and Dahi poori as well.
How I wish the place had more options for sweets..
Not 5 🌟 though, because I expect better hygiene and Tasty food even during rush hours which they lacked during my recent visit.
Vivian Jacob
Our friend took us to this place with lot of puffery. We ordered variety of chats from Kachori chenna to pav bhaji, mattar poori to Kadhi chawal and jalebi rabri (only value). Very substandard preparation of pav bhaji and kadhi chawal.
Ajay
The best things about this place is they have flavoured pani puri. Its a must try if you are around HSR. Also the sweets are good in quality. Its pocket friendly as well.
The Veggie Pooja
Always crowded, but we will be ready to wait for their tasty chaats, and my favorite chai 😋...love their Chaat items and the highlight of the place paani puri in different flavors....you will visit again n again for that....quantity is so good for the price....
Sowmy.byataraya
Buzzing with people for paani puri, they serve 5 different types of paani ( pudina , jira, chilly, sonf and sweet). Yummy pani poori. Chaat and sweets are freshly made and delicious. Chole tikki was perfect and had smokey flavour to it. Love to go back here for some evening snacks.
Abhijit
The paanipuri out here is really good. However the staff attitude is not so good. If you like onion in paanipuri then the staff mostly avoid to provide it because of their laziness even if they don't have one customer in front of the stall..
Sudhakar Suga
Have come to this place few times before, always been a a bit premium place for chats and North Indian snacks. came back again after a gap of probably 18 months ! What I see is prices have sky rocketted, not convincing enough to charge this high for the kind of food! Food is not bad! Hygienic setup like any good Darshini’s around. But, it can’t be this premium cost for self service setup!
Kritika
My search for the best pani puris in bangalore ends here. Period.
Also have tried jalebis, momos, aloo tiki, Papdi chaat everything is bang on!
Akhil Gupta
Dirty place, prices are high and service is pathetic. Staff is arrogant and has no sense of service.
There are better chat outlets in vicinity, try those
Shilpa Balagopalan
Love the chaat varties and sweets. Jalebi and dahi puri are the best. Have tried almost all types of chaat here at one point or another. Don't miss the pani puri with 5 flavors. Really authentic.
Sam
Ordered dahi papdi chat, Vada pav and kulfi. Taste was descent with adequate spices both in papdi chat and Vada pav. Kulfi was mildly sweet and met my expectations. Overall a good stop for some chat and sweets..
On next visit tried Jalebi and I would say good choice because done right there in ghee and not soaked for long time in sugar syrup making it crisp and not too much sweet
Achal Sharma
Very nice taste And yummy snacks specially Gulab jamun and ghee jalebi ...it’s worth it to try this tasty food
i been there several times and always it’s unique and tasty
Saai
Dhokla: Neat! It was neither too soggy not too dry.
Dahi puri: The curd was really thick. But it sweet chutney overpowered every other flavour present in this chaat.
Sourabh Gupta
I feel short of words to describe how amazing their panipuri tastes! One of the best and hygienic in Bangalore. Recommended to so many people and everyone has blessed me to have told them about it! They have six varities of Pani for panipuri and chilly & pudina are my personal favorite. Do try it out if you happen to be in HSR! I'm giving it a 4 because I didn't like any other Chaat here, sweets might be good I have never tasted them.

If you want to eat veg food, then it is a nice place to go for.You can get a veg thali at a price of 100 only in which you will get 2vegetables, 1dal, 4roti/2 roti with rice and pickle. If you love to eat patashi/golgappa you should definitely visit this place in night time.
Natasha Skies
I ordered (takeaway) samosa from Shubh and while eating I noticed it had a pin in its stuffing. Luckily, I did not give it to my 2.5 years old. Would never ever want to get anything from Shubh again.

Perfect place to get a feel of eating mouth-watering North Indian Street food and snacks in Bangalore. Must try their dhokla and momos.

If you are a person with the sweet tooth and want to go Desi, then this is a must visit place in HSR.
Rasmalai, jalebi with rabri, balushahi, halwa, kalakand - you will want to have everything there.

P.S. Tea was okayish although they have a special tea preparation method.
All items are pocket-friendly as well.
Will surely visit next time to try their Aam Panna and Paani Puri.

Edit: Special mention to their rabri kulfi. It will make you go wow!
Agrima
Feels like you’re eating in north India. The exact ambience of a haldiram or a bikanerwala and the desi ghee smell of a sweet shop.

Bhelpuri- 4/5
Momos - 4/5
Dhokla - 5/5
Rasmalai - 8/5
Aam panna - 10/5

Yeah I went thoda mad and ordered a lot 🙈
But this is a must try place for people who love chatpata food.

Foodiefrom Amritsar (Shailja Sehgal)
Was there few mins back.... ordered chaat papdi, ate pani puri and jalebi
Jalebi and pani puri was good. one of the best place in Bangalore to have 5 pani with puri. Jalebi was good as always
But my biggest complaint was with chaat.... the papdi gave a smell of bad oil.. we could not eat it despite being a foodie
Shubh guys chaat sometime is disappointing...look into it
Shailja Sehgal
Pani puri is good, one of the place i know which serves pani of 5 types(jeera, hing, mint, saunf and sweet)
Jalebi is awesome...must try
Papdi chaat was just ok, papdi has oil smell
Ashish Shanbhogue
Food 4/5
Ambiance 3/5
Cost 3/5
Service 4/5

We been to this place after our evening walk. This is a great place to have Pani Puri. They provide nearly 5 different flavours of Pani and each is equally good.

Along with Pani Puri we ordered shev Puri also. Which is not up to the mark. They just filled it with pudeena chutney and shev nothing also. It was too spicy and taste less.

We ordered peas Puri with subzi which was prepared fresh and tasty.

It's a nice place to hangout in evening.
Nisheet Saxena
We usually go to have a quick bite and I was surprised by the staff behavior when I came to know about extremely high prices and low quality.

Very busy place during weekends amongst all the chat lovers and people with big sweet tooth.
This place is famous for north Indian chats and foods ( samosa, paratha and kachoris chole bhature etc.) I personally liked their Dahi bhalla Papdi Chaat and jalebi with Rabadi it's really delicious.Their pani Puri (assorted flavors) is over hyped and over priced since there is no other good place on 27th Main that's the reason people come here.
Hygiene and service is not that good.

Binit Kumar
Over priced, bad food, rude staff.. this is a perfect example of what a restaurant should not be. Had puri sabji and samosa chat here. Puri was oily and tested very bad.
Amit Kasliwal
awesome rabdi jalebi ... made my evening ...

Ginger Chai is freshly made and tastes great as well ... best part is that it is made to order and not stored like all stores do ...
Sajda
Had paneer paratha, rajma chawal, pani puri, jalebi, cheese momos here. Food is pretty much ok. I love the cheese momos and rajma chawal here.
Crazy4Food
Got SWEETS many time from here and we always liked it. But during this Diwali it was pathetic. Got some laddu and some mixed sweets. Except Laddu others are okay. But Laddus were not eatable at all. It was smelling refined oil and it was hard also.
We except the standard to be maintained round the year, that's how you can be unique.
Swapna
Went there to have some decent pani puri. But came out overjoyed. By far the best pani puri I’ve had in bangalore !!
Rest if the chaat was quite decent.
Reasonably priced too.

After checking a lot of reviews I thought of giving it a shot and my review is based on the same.

Location 4/5: The location is their biggest strength as it is located on 27th main road HSR layout opposite C.P.W.D complex though they haven't taken the advantage of a premium location as if you are not specifically looking for this place you won't be able to find it. You can find the reason from the pictures.

Food 4/5 : It won't be true if I say the food is not nice but surely it isn't great. We ordered Dahi aloo tikki, 1 pc of chamcham sweet and 1 pc of rasmalai.

Pricing 1/5: Their pricing I Don't understand why is so high that it's is competition with kesar sweets. In their aloo tikki plate which costed us 68 rs they only serve 1 pc of tikki and for small piece of chamcham and 1 rasmalai they charged us 75 rupees.

Ambience 2.5/5: Its a self service restraunt, seating arrangement is OK ok. The place feels like a traditional sweet shop nothing extraordinary and they won't give you tissue papers or spoons unless you ask it.
Pranay
Had aloo tikki channa chat and I enjoyed it .Pani patasha is also nice. Sweets and rest everything were not so amazing. Don't compare the prices with North India as you will find it on the higher side. Car parking is little difficult.
Trilokesh Ranjan Pradhan
First visit. My friends always recommended about jalebi and rabdi, tried and it made my day. Very neat and clean place. But the price is a little high but it’s definitely worth an visit

This is a great restaurant for snacks items and panipuri. Their panipuri is the best with multiple kinds of water like jeera, pudina, sweet etc.
Jayanti Ganguly ⭐️
Nice place to get some quick North Indian snacks and chaats. It is one of the best places for pani puri in HSR. The momos, ginger tea are nice too along with Chola bhaturas. you can finish this meal with a plate of nice hot freshly made jalebis.
Rahul Goel
Really one of the best place of Bengaluru to have North Indian sweets and chats with authentic North Indian taste and ingredients.
All the workers here are from UP itself. We tried their various items and visited this place numerous times just to have golgappa here. While eating I feel like that I am in North itself.

* They serve Golgappa water of 5 types - Chilli, Pudina,Jeera, Sweet and Saunf. My personal favorite is Pudina and Chilli.
The filling of Golgappa is of 2 types here - With Onion and Without Onion. You can choose what you like.

* Their Aloo tikki is also great. Perfectly fried. But take the Aloo Tikki Chat which have curd and green chutney.

Don't take just also tikki if you not gonna add curd etc from your side. You will not get any taste.

* Veg Momo filling is good but it's covering layer is more soft than required. Chutney they give with momo is great. They serve spicy and sweet chutney. You can ask what you like.

* Hot Jalebi and cold Rabri combo is good here. You will like if you have them together. But if you take separately..Taste of them is average only. More improvement us required in Rabri.

* In Dahi Bhalle ... Bhalle were hard instead of being very soft. This item only we didn't like at all.

* Samosa - filling is good but base of that is raw.

* Kachori Chana Chaat - Really good is taste. Must try.

* Raj Kachori - Size is proper but taste haven't touched expectations. It was average.

* Tea - Average in taste. Improvement require.

* Kala Jamoon - Good in taste.

* Puri Sabji - They serve 4 puri with 'aloo ki Sabji' . Taste is good.

* Kaju Samosa Sweet - Cost of it is 1.5 times(Rs 1250/kg) than normal place. But taste was very bad. Firstly it was not fresh and secondly Kaju layer was very thin and filled lot of almonds in filling. Don't try.

Ambience is ok and food here is hygienic.

Only bad part of here is cost. It is too costly .... might be because here people are ready to pay that much amount for authentic taste.

Previously owner of this place used to show too much attitude but nowadays bit ok.
Chan (Gastronauts' Den)
A great place if you want to have authentic north Indian food at 27th main HSR layout. I love their panipuri which is served with five different types of flavored water - my personal favorite is their chili water. Have tried their chats too and they were great. Don't forget to try veg momos at Shubh - they have a generous amount of vegetable filling served with spicy green and momo chutney.
Memoirsoffood &travel
I think i just luv this place on 27th main. I like their concept-u have all sorts of north indian sweets n fresh tea n hot snacks. Real USP is hot jalebis and rabri . One cannot miss their 5 types of water for pani puri, hygienic and clean.
So if you are looking for some non common north Indian swts-sohan halwa, ghevar etc this is the place.
Manish Agrawal
Highly unhygienic and costly food. I went to this place couple of times and both the times were disappointed.. Found fly in Pani puri and on asking them to refund money they refused. Tried Pav bhaji, instead of butter , it tested more like oil and pav was also smelling stale. Why the hell is the cost of Small Gulab jamun 34 rs. We get far better chat at anand sweets ..Highly arrogant staffs
Naveen Singhal
If you love cockroach in your dish, this is the place for you. I don't understand why they are still in business. This place is worst experience in my life. No hygiene and owner/cashier doesn't care about it.
Chintan Varma
Authentic North Indian taste, be it any food item...
Have tried their chaats & chhole/rajma combos...

Their Jeera Pani is the best among all the options in Pani Puri..
@aft_artfoodtravel
I regularly visit Shubh Sweets for Pani Puri. They have 5 different flavours of Pani for Pani Puri.Momos,Dhokla,Jalebi are freshly made but tastes average.Highly recommended places for all pani puri lovers.(Saturdays and Sundays this places is very crowded).
Chitrang Apshankar
Nice eatery in HSR specifically for chats and Sweets. It's difficult to find good options for chats in Bangalore, however this one is good.

We have tried a lot of things here including Chhole tikki, Samosa, Dahi Puri, Papadi Chat. They also serve different varieties of Paani Puri which is also good.

In sweets , we have tried Jalebi and rabdi. Taste wise it's good, however it's too expensive for a plate of Jalebi and Rabdi. Probably due to the locality and also beacuse people are ready to pay anything for a good taste.
Lohitha Sanath
This looks like a very normal place, but the prices are like a little on the high end side,I wud say. Chats and snacks are the main items on menu other than sweets. Tasty food though. Panipuri must be tried.i wud have given 5, if prices were normal and ambience was little better
Sucheta Tanwar
Quite regular here for Golgappe (5 different type of water) and Garama garam Jalebi. Chaats are not upto the mark.

Ambience: 3/5 Food: 3/5 Value for money: 3/5
Rishikesh
Visited this place on Sunday evening , we could smell the aroma of desi ghee , had their famous PANI PURI - just loved the 5 different flavors of PANI, then had JALEBI WITH RABIDI AND ALSO KACHORI WITH CHANNA MASALA which also tasted really good,
Place was nice , clean and decent .
Would definitely go back to try their other dishes ,
Just noticed they also have Puri wuth sabzi and also pav bhaji,
Had a real great time , inspite of having so much didn’t feel heavy. 👍🏻
Siddhartha Srikantham
The ambience of the place is very ordinary but the food it good. I especially loved the hot jilebi on a rainy day. We had a vada pav, which my mumbaikar colleague said was under par but I didnt have a reference and felt was okay. I had taken a Pav Bhaji parcel which my wife said was decent. Will come back and try other things on the menu.
Yamini
I bought coconut burfi here ... it tasted really weird ... they might have used bad quality coconut.... I took it back and told them .... the person said it tastes fine in a very arrogant way. So I asked him to eat it himself and left the place. All I can say is when a customer approaches you with a genuine issue one should have the decency to address the issue and not get arrogant. Basic business ethics :)
Kanika Rajani
Went for a quick chaat bite with my family on a sunday evening only to get disappointed with the stale raj kachori served.
It was so stale that even the curd mixed in the chaat started smelling of the oil the kachoris acquire when it becomes old. The raj kachori did not had anything except for namkeen and curd.
we were expecting atleast a dahi bada piece/fruits/potato as other outlets in the vicinity serve.
The wada pav was also a disappointment as the pav was not fresh and was hard to chew.
overall a never again goto place in HSR.
Kashish Grover
For a place which claims to serve you sweets, this is a rather shitty place. Even the water they have isn't nice. Moreover, don't order milk products here because in my experience, they might just serve you rotten stuff. :)
Atibhi Lehakra
I am a delhiite and a foodie and have been spoiled by the sweet and Street food choices that I have had. In comparison this place is just bland and extremely over priced for the food that they serve here. Neither the quality nor the taste is worth the money that one spends here. It's a disappointment.
Gunasheela Shetty
I don't think I need to write anything more!!!.... The photo itself is a self explanatory..... Don't have any inclination to visit again or to recommend it to anyone.....

I am a regular here especially for gol Gappa , which comes with 5 types of water. Also I love their rabri jalebi . Nice Casual sweet shop , for breakfast and evening snacks.
Pradeepta Bhattacharya
Super delicious and crunchy pani puri. My friends took me to this place because I am a big time pani puri fan. The variety in the types of water they serve enthralled me and is also their usp is guess. My favorites saunf pani mixed with sweet. If I had to rate them only on this then I would give a 4.5 but there were other things that I tried.
Tea is good here. Allu tikki chat was not up to the mark at all. It was burnt initially and when exchanged we got it un cooked. Dhokla was not the best I have had. Alu paratha was ok again a little raw. Jalebi was awesome, crispy and hot. Ras malai was better than what you will otherwise get in other places.
I am going to this place again but only for their pani puri.
Uttara Ramkumar
After reading tye reviews of so many ppl we decided to try tjis place.. We had aloo tikki chaat and sev puri chaat... taste was very okish and the presentation was lame.. it seemed like they had just thrown everything in the plate without any interest to serve... found the price on the higher side... but still give one more shot to try the other varieties..
Abhishekdhalcool
Absolutely horrible place..Overpriced to the core and very sub standard food..Even the person at the counter is arrogant

Absolute no to this place. Been twice once had jalebis which were over fried and 2nd time had samosas which were undercooked..

A sham in the name of authentic place
Siddharth Taneja
I specially visit this place for its pani puri its the best. Everytime any of my friend says pani puri in bangalore is not good I take them to this place and everyone loves it. This is a must visit place for all the chaat lovers out there.
Saikat Ganguly
Worst thali food in the lunch for what they charge. Tasteless, over priced and they try to stick in the left over dhokla and sweets from day before in your meal.
Amit
Have tried a few things here and here is what I feel. First visited this place to get some sweets for Diwali; and was impressed with motichur laddoo and kaju barfi. Saw an amass at the panipuri counter and felt that it would really be awsm as its attarcting so much crowd.
So visited another day to try out the panipuri and was not very impressed with the taste. Only aspect which was different was that they have different varities of pani like.. elaichi, jaljeera, tamrind etc. Also tried the Rasmalai and the taste was not that great of the rasmalai too.
Will try some chats in near future and share my experience here. (Y)
Indraja Pranathi
I go to this place for its pani puri. Though slightly over priced, they have different flavours of pani that are super delicious. If you're craving for a chatpata taste you should definitely try it.
Take home their jilebis. They make it right in front of you and are yummy!
Sravani Kumari
Chats, samosas, Momos are good. But slightly overpriced.
Pani Puri has multiple flavoring paanis but they refused to give onions.
Nothing wow factor here, but if you crave for Street food, it's apt.
Saurabh
I went to this place with my wife and never went back :). We tried their Pani Puri which was okay, their tikki which was also okay, their dahi papdi chat which we did not like because it wasn't tasting like chat, it was tasting like bhalla. We also tried paneer momos which was not at all good and their jalebi and rabri which was okay. I am giving them 3.0 because they could improve the quality a lot with the varieties of food they offer. Cleanliness was another concern because waiters were least bothered to clean the table properly. It is a self service restaurant and parking is not a problem for this restaurant but will be a street parking only.
Richa Ahuja
Shubh has so many things right from paani puri to jalebi to shakes and sweets, dhoklas, and even tea.
Their tea is different with the tea leaves have a story to tell (I dont remember it now).
All their stuff is tasty and if you are just walking at HSR, you wouldn't want to miss hopping in here!
Cilantro
Shubh Sweets HSR layout holds the local street food of North India. They are on the 27th Main road Infront of the PWD quarters. They serve all kinds of North Indian snacks like Pani Puri, Chats, Samosa, Jalebi Rabadi (must try) etc. They have some of Chinese food like Momo's, Noodles and have freshly brewed tee called (MyT) too. Shubh is like the haldiram of bangalore. If i might say so, the quality is better.

North indian food like chole bhature, aloo tikki chaats, etc are very authentic. The quantity if good and prices are very reasonable.

Its a small outlet that also has gol gappe and fresh jalebi counters.

Sunday comfort food for a north indian like me!!!

Just because of hygene.
I ordered aloo tikki chat from them and it had a dead insect.
When showed the same to the person sitting at counter, he told its cooked in open so there might be one and he was very rude as well.
He in the end offered for a replacement but they should take care in the first place only.

Pani puri servered here were very good a year back but now its quality has come down. Same is the case for Jalebis. And I don't understand the point of increasing the price of Jalebis by Rs. 10 after GST for a product which was 60 earlier. Rs. 70 is too much. Looks like they were not paying tax earlier. Now hope they pay tax. Earlier they were just giving token instead of bill. Its just a matter of time people would realise and switch over to nearby ones which has better value and taste. One year back I would have rated 4.5/5. But now only 3/5.

If you are craving for some yummy gol gappas and if you happen to be in HSR area, this is the place to be. I would recommend pani puri, Dahi puri and some hot jalebis at this place. Not recommended for people who do not like crowded eateries.

The place to visit if you are craving authentic North India chaat.. I tried their Pani puri / Gol Gappe ( 5 different types of water like chili, saunf, pudina, sweet ...). It was very hygienic and yummy..Then had the Aloo Tikki Dahi Chaat which was again very tasty ..The Paneer bread pakora was cooked to perfection without excess oil dripping...They also have Momos and the Paneer Momos were amazing...They can add some more seating for everyone's convenience but overall a must visit ..

Shubh sweets is a good-quality sweets and chaat shop located on 27th main road in HSR Layout. I had been a regular customer here for their delicious chaats, pani puri, and sweets. It's a one-stop place for all such cravings. So, this review sums up all my experiences so far with their food.

ORDER, TASTE, AND QUALITY:

Just outside the shop, they have two pani puri (gol gappe) counters, where they have 5 different varieties of pani (water) to be filled inside the puri or golgappe.
The variety includes chilli water, saunf (fennel seeds) water, sweet water, jeera (cumin) water, and pudina (mint) water. It's a very nice concept and especially popular among the North Indians living nearby.
They have a momos counter next to it, where they have veg, cheeze, and paneer momos to choose from. Off late, I didn't like the taste of their momos but earlier it used to be good.
Another specialty at this restaurant is their Hot Jalebis, made of pure desi ghee. You can smell the aroma of pure desi ghee and it tastes awesome!
I also tried their Aloo tikki and Dahi Papdi Chaat, the Aloo tikki was good in taste and quality. However, I didn't like the Dahi Papdi Chaat at all and don't recommend it. There are much better places to have Dahi Papdi Chaat in Bangalore. The other regular sweets, such as Ras Malai and Sohan Papdi are also fresh and good in taste.
Overall, the taste and quality is quite good.

AMBIENCE AND SERVICE:

Ambience is OK nothing exciting but not bad either. They have a seating space inside the shop where you can enjoy the food. It's a self-service restaurant so no comments on service.

The best thing about this place is the five flavours of pani Puri water! Every flavour is different and so tasty. The jalebis are also hot and fresh and tastes amazing with the rabri. They have alot of different items like Dhokla,Halwa etc along with this but everything is a bit too pricey

The highlight of the place is gol gappe and the variety with the pani used for it. Chole bature is another awesome delicasy.

Bread pakkoda and chocolate jaamun is also worth having.

When crowded the place gets little cramped up.

Shubh is the favorite place for me to eat snacks, chats and sometimes dinner. I will go here 2 weeks once. They have hot jelabi, pani puri with 5 varieties of pani and chats at evening and it is amazing. They are selling veg momos and which is not up to the mark. Paratas and poori is good for dinner. It is a self service restaurant. Overall good place to enjoy eve snacks.
