Review Anand Sweets & Savouries - Bengaluru

arpit gupta
Anand sweets the famous for North Indian taste buds is available at busy Commercial Street, aside Soch showroom. They have almost all the options what any other Anand sweet place has it. Seating - seating is less. Service - is little poor.

Sitting pretty, bang on commercial Street... Food is always good at Anand Sweets.... We tried Dahi Puri, Alu tikki cholay, Veg grill rolls and Makki-ki-roti with Sarson-ka-saag. Chaats were the usual high quality, Rolls were tasty as well. Makki-ki-roti was a seasonal special, served with dried and fried chilli and gud (jaggery). The jaggery was a nice touch to the dish and really took the experience up a notch. We topped it all off with Gulab shake, which was really tasty .. Portion sizes are reasonable. Only problem here is, once it gets to rush hour, is hard to order second portions of food... There is no service and you have to be order and wait in line. They have a good token system, but still, if you don't order everything you want on one go, is not a great experience... Also, during rush hours, there are people standing right behind you to finish your food, so they can occupy the table. Not a great feeling when you want to enjoy food food... Anand sweets, since you are so popular, why don't you consider adding more tables?

Hands down the best sweets and chat in all of Bangalore! They have been around for 35 years, my go to place for incredible delicious savouries and authentic sweets. You can be comfortable eating here without the fear of falling sick, especially if visiting from overseas. Conveniently located in the heart of the bustling Commercial Street, it’s always nice to take a break from your shopping and relish the food!

An amazing eatery place in commercial street. Taste is good and price is nominal too. We ordered pani puri, chole bature, kadi pakoda & rice combo, gulab jamun and rasmalai for desserts, cold coffee & lassi as drinks. Everything was good except chole which was little salty. Another issue here is seating very limited tables and gets difficult to manage. Overall worth visiting. Food: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5 Service: 3/5(it's self service and we need to call the waiters multiple times to clear the table)

I stumbled upon this place while shopping in Bengaluru’s Commercial Street. And I am so glad that I did! This place is a gem for those who are looking for affordable, hygienic, and of course delicious savoury chaats. They have authentic North Indian delicacies such as Chola Bhature and Chole-Kulcha. My god…the kulcha bread was so fresh and flavourful! The ambience is eye-catching and I must say they have done an amazing job in a compact space. The place has a youthful European vibe with its decor. You will have to do self-service here and there is no dedicated service staff as such. Service times can vary depending upon the dish and the crowd. I have been here a couple of times and have had different experiments with wait time. So be patient to get your yummy snacks! The menu is fairly diverse and I liked pretty much all that I tried. A must visit for those scouting Commercial Street. Also for those who crave for some good chola-Bhatura 😊

One of the best sweet shops and restaurants. Hot jalebi is good. Rasamalai is awesome. The good here also is very good. Despite being in commercial street the sweet shop and restaurant are very well maintained. The thali combo also tastes very good.

A few days ago stopped ny looking for gluten free sweets, the selection is so beautiful and someone (did not ask his name) helped me identify all the gluten free options available. They were very good and the service was awesome!! Wish the labels indicated what is gluten free.

Sweets are my favourite thing and I just love sweets which made it perfectly. Anand when I tried I just loved the sweets. They make the perfect sweet and keep the taste the same. I have tried multiple sweets and all are so good. Also they have sugar free sweets too. This place is best place for the sweets.

Never ever Anand fails to impress it's audience and this outlet is just another example of their fine work. The place is so well lit and the seatings are very comfortable. All the dishes and sweets were amazing in taste and service is great.

Nest place to eat in the midst of Commercial Street. After shopping when legs get tired have some sweets and veg thalis. Good is just amazing
Ankit RAJ
overall it was nice and value for money.
@240/-(200gms).
so many varieties of sweets available, and main focus is on sugar free products which are actually at decent price and comes with great taste.

Takeaway Only
Seating Not Available
, Vegetarian Only
Desserts and Bakes are at its best.
Prices are not that expensive.
@veg_maatra
We always stop at this place to grab a bite of refreshing chaats to pamper the taste buds after all day shopping. Its a small shop which serves some basic chaats and sweets and also beverages to cool your tongue from all the talking and bargaining at shops. My all time favourite is aloo tikki and dahi papdi chaat. It has the right amount of mint and tamarind chutney and makes the dish absolutely delicious. The dabeli was ok and paneer cutlet was mediocre.
So overall I would suggest this place to stop by, if you want to take a quick break from shopping.

Dharwad Peda - Soft and sweet coated in rava. This is a must try. Dharwad peda is an Indian sweet delicacy unique to the state of Karnataka, India. It derives its name from the city of Dharwad in Karnataka. This sweet's history is around 175 years old.

Mysore Park - Mysore pak originally called as Mysuru Paaka (Paaka means a sweet syrup) is an Indian sweet prepared in ghee that is popular in Southern India. It originated in Mysore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is made of generous amounts of ghee, sugar, gram flour, and often cardamom.

Banana Chips - I crave for yellow banana chips fried in coconut oil. I can keep eating. I can't stop at handful. Only chips I eat.

All three are a must try!

Quite expensive but the quality of sweets make it worth it. Try their dhokla and rasam alai to be mesmerized into the sweet world.

Anand is amongst some of best places in India to get sweets from.

I absolutely love their Kaju Katli. Mysore Pak and Peda are two sweets which are favourites from Anand at our home.
They make their products using quality ingredients and the service is great.

Their sweets have great packaging as well, which is great for gifting others and serving during wedding occasions and other festivals.

Variety of tasty sweets and chats available here. The prices are little costly and also the quality is certainly to that level. The hygiene can be improved and also the payment options should be increased as it's mostly Only Cash here. The taste of the sweets, chats and drinks were good and nothing disappointing. Only improvement would be in the payment options. #sandeepericsson

Even though their sweets are nice I guess for customer services they have not used sweetness skills.. beware if you try to give feedback... You get to hear special words from the owners.. so just walk in to buy sweets nothing more.. because there is a Gentleman elderly might come back to you to say we don't need customers who provide feedback.. Sad to see but it's ok..

This is our routine place whenever we are shopping in Commercial Street!
Food- This place is pretty old with some mouth-watering dahi bhallas, rabri, channa payesh, kachoris etc.
I tried their coconut barfi, very yummy made to perfection and their signature Badami milk, oh so refreshing!
Ambience- Pretty congested! There’s no seating area for the customers
Customer service- Quick
Value for money- Decent

I just Loooove their badam milk. I never miss a chance to sneak in to this place when I am at commercial Street . Their chaats were sweet. It wasn't that great. Staffs were ok. This place is a must visit if you are into Indian sweets and savouries.
Navaz L.
Good stuff! Just tried the paneer cutlet . Was a huge hit!

The service could improve! The guys will just stand there unless you specifically ask them to serve you!

If your looking for the best motichur ladoos in town ,yes you have found your place. Perfect place for hygienic and tasty yum motichur ladoos. Just can't get over it's taste 😍😍😍😍

Disgustibg service . People are so rude here , I took Dhokla home and i notice that the green chutney is spoilt and the dhokla has an odd smell !!! I call back to report this and the person who spoke is so rude!! He didn't have the deceny to speak properly or apologise , he arrogantly asks me to bring it back, am i supposed to travel back that far to just prove my point and then for him to just wave it off !!!
Aditi R
This place is perpetually crowded, and rightly so. Yet the service manages to remain prompt. Their badam milk and dahi bhalla are out of this world!! A must stop when visiting Commercial Street, or even otherwise.

Ambiance - Crowded
Service - Fast
Taste - Amazing 👌🏼

Ive been visiting this place since i could remember and this is have given me one of the best cold badam milks', rasmalai or any sweets of that matter; even savories and chaats.
Must visit this place. 10/10 would recommend from my side.
Had mysore Pak & Dharwad Peda from Anand sweets & savouries. Dharwad Peda was gud but Mysore Pak 😍 it was just like besan ki burfi & I love it very much😍 yummy sweets. Will visit again for sure.

Wow Rabri. And sugar free sweets also.
I'll recommend you to prepare sugar free peda using khoa only so that our parents also can enjoy. All the best.

SHOCKING treatment of customers!

Very disappointing Diwali day experience at Anand Sweets on Commercial Street. Went in for last minute sweets, expecting to see warm smiling faces wishing you etc but nope. The cashier is annoyed that I’ve asked for boxes to be swapped, though I didn’t give him the go ahead to bill. I asked the manager to assign me another cashier who was in a better mood but the manager seemed to be ill-tempered as well. And actually asked staff to “saltao” me before attending to others and telling me “this is how we talk” when I asked him why he’d use such language. I’m skipping some of the other details including being asked to wait ostensibly as punishment for taking no more than a minute to decide what I wanted. I got there at 10 and was out at 1015 after buying about 11 boxes. Not exactly indecisive. One understands the festive season can take a toll on staff but this was a disproportionate response to asking for this box over another. I was full of admiration for the packaging this year but never judge a book by its cover they say? Never again. Zero Anand in this experience. Only tears for Pushpa :p

Chandrakala is super.. Ask sweets here prepared with ghee. Moti chur. Laddu is awesome... Savories is good.. Overall good sweets stall.. For festive occasion..

Ordered chaat via Swiggy after reading the reviews here. I fell sick, kept throwing up repeatedly. Stale as hell! Would never recommend this place for their hygiene levels.

Been there many a times when I was in commercial street. Love their chaaats and badam milk a lot. They remind me of Calcutta. The place is always buzzing with people but the service is quick as you don't have to wait much. :)
Mashood Abdulla
I love their jalebis and baklava. The jalebi at Anand sweet is my 3 year old sons favourite too. The baklava tastes similar to the ones we gets outside the country (read gulf). Imo they serve the best baklava in bangalore.
Raksha Koppal
Hey all, I know this place needs no review.. yet I love sharing my experience. I must have visited this place some 50 times... I really like the chats here... today I tried something new called gobbi samosa.. I liked it.. something I would order again

This is always my go to place when I shop
In commercial street . I love their dhokla variants especially sandwich dhokla . Their chat items are the best . Must try their sandwich dhokla , paneer cutlet and khandvi . Their sweet and spicy chutneys are the best .

Place is in the vicinity of commercial street in bangalore where we have lots of shopping options. Best place to have snacks and sweets when you want a break from shopping. They have awesome chaats and rasmalai. Rasgulla is mouth watering and melts in the mouth. It has become my favourite place for sweets. 😛
Rupesh
It is good place for snacks and sweets. Limited snacks but good in taste. Sweets are good in taste also. Place is small and service is ok. Cost is high.
ICook
It was late night and we were very hungry but everything was almost shut so this place was a savior for us.

Food: 2
Ambiance: Basic Shop
Self Service: Self Service.

This place is mostly like a Mithai shop that also serves some snacks. We had Sev Puri, Papdi Chat, Dahi Batata Puri and Rasagulla.

Being Mumbai person, I am used to certain things when it comes to Chat items and that’s what is expected… Sev needs to be supper thin, Puri needs to thin and light, and Round Puri is served in Sev Puri and also for Dahi Batata Puri. These are the basics. But this place did everything exactly opposite of what’s expected. Everything had flat, thick heavy puri. Each dish was just bombarded with tick Sev.

Ant the worse thing is that served all this in a round container where everything was just stuffed in and it was so difficult to eat. It killed the whole essence of it.

I usually write about each item, but here I have nothing that I can write.

I would never have any chat items here.
Deepak Grover
A real bad experience with the authentic Holi sweets. Ordered 3Kg Gujia from Anand which turned out into a nightmare. Tasteless Gujias filled with only rawa and sugar.
Ankit Agrawal
A real good place situated in middle of commercial street. It's too small for the crowd that comes to commercial street on any single moment of the day but that's all excused against the food offered here, mirchi pakoda - awesome, dahi wada - to die for, basundi - orgasmic but Vada pav - meh!!

My report card

Price – 7/10

Taste – 8/10

Portion Size - 6/10

Service – 7/10

Ambience – 5/10

Cleanliness - 7/10

Value for money – 8/10

Will I go back – Absolutely

Visited this outlet recently to grab some quick bites after roaming around in the busy commercial street. By the looks of it, I was quite impressed with the set up in a limited space.

Like the name says, one can try some chaat, namkeens or pick from a wide variety of sweets.

We tried a samosa, bhalla papdi chaat, kachori and mirchi pakoda along with kesar badam milk.

Kachori / Mirchi Pakoda / Samosa - it appeared like everything was prepared hours back, none of the items tasted fresh or crisp. The mirchi pakoda was more like a mirchi roll with a pakoda layer almost as firm as a roll / wrap.

Bhalla papdi chaat - this was the only item from the chaat/ snacks menu that we liked out of all that we ordered. It was prepared with sweet curd, bhalla was soft, papdi was crisp and the mint and tamarind chutneys tasted good as well.

Kesar badam milk - this is one of famous items and the taste was worth all the hype. Might be a little too sweet for some people but overall all the badam and kesar flavours elevated my mood after getting disappointed with the snack items.

The sweets looked really mouth-watering but priced slightly high.
Ameet KKatyal
Delicious - Finger licking - Busy - Stand-in - Great Variety - Price on the higher side - Must Visit!

You can blindfold and try all of their snack items to your palette - all are good! The Badam milk is awesome, so are the papri chaat and Dahi bhallas!

Their sweets, especially the Kaju Barfi is delicious too!

Must visit when you are around Commercial Street!
Eshwarkapur
My favorite sweet shop for kaju katli. Can't be beat. Service is pedestrian but very efficient. Desserts are fresh and durable. Good variety and anything there in a clay pot is a winner.
Urban_biharan
This place has been a favourite since college. It's located in the main Commercial Street and you will always find a huge crowd here from various age groups.
From great quality sweets to spicy delicious chaats. This place has it all.
We tried papdi chaat, dhokla and samosa chaat. They were all yummy. And the best way to finish off is to have the chilled badam milk.
A good value for money and decent quality plus quantity this self serving place will help you feel better in the chaos of Commercial Street. 😃

The Punjabi lassi is definitely one of the best I've had in Bangalore. Their chaats are quite worth the price especially the Raj kachori
Probably a little over priced on the sweets
Manasa Gowda
Love the cold badam milk .. exact amount of sweetness .. so far the best badam milk .. my all time fav . I would drop into this place just for badam milk ..
Aarti Mansukhani
Always the one of the best sweets outlets we have all around Bangalore. Slightly expensive, however awesome and great variety of sweets and chaats.
Bhukkhad.Banda
We were in Bangalore for only one day for a meeting and someone suggested us this place for buying Mysore Pak which we had to take to our home.

The Mysore Pak was tasty and fresh and we liked it very much.

Quality was maintained

Will visit again next time
Bengaluru Food Walks
Anand Sweets & Savouries
Standard & Authenic Indian sweet house in the locality with well maintained on Taste & Quality of the food they serve. They have Chaats, Snacks, Savouries, Namkeen, Cold & Hot Beverages. Headed around 2 in the noon to try out some chats.

Ordered Samosa, Vada Pav, Gulab Jamun and Cold Badam Milk.

Samosa was hot served, it was served with Pudina Chutney & Tamarind Sweet Chutney. Samosa stuffing was hot and fresh.

Gulab Jamun was Oven heated, it was rich in taste.

Vada Pav was not that good in taste, Pav was not fresh, it was dry and hard to byte. Vada was Oven heated and soft, was served with Masala mirchi.

Cold Badam Milk was chill and refreshing in taste.

A good place to dine for Delhi and Bombay chats in the locality.

Food - 4/5
Service - 4/5
Hospitality - 3.5/5
Cleanliness - 4/5
Must Try - Chaats

When you are tired of shopping at Commercial Street and want a yummy snack break, head to Anand. Quick snacks like chats and dhokla are available along with a variety of sweets. Space is less so it might be crowded specially on weekends.

My second bad Experience with this outlet. Last time it was stale shills. This time the potato and the sauces in the sev Puri were both spoilt. A brand like Anand can't afford this kind of drop in quality!!
Ayushi
The chats here are just yum, it might seem to be heavy on your wallet but the quality of the things they put is just amazing, every bite is worth it!
Must try dahi papadi char, badam milk, rasgullas!
All the sweets are really good!
Gauri Mittal
I tried their aloo Tikki chaat yesterday and it was nowhere close to what you get in North.

It's a regular chaat -mithai shop so had no expectations with regards to ambiance and service. All I was expecting was a decent aloo Tikki chaat. The aloo Tikki chaat was a microwaved piece of stale fried aloo patty tossed in lots of chole with very little amount of red chutney (no green chutney).

In fact none of the chaat items (which I saw others eating ) were impressive. Would not go there for chaat again.
Anand Sweets, started as a sweet store which now offers both sweets and savories. They have many outlets in Bangalore and I got a chance to visit the one in the commercial street with my friend. Being one of the most preferred choices when it comes to buying sweets in Bangalore, they are very famous for North Indian Chaats. The Chaats felt authentic and most importantly mouth-watering as I used to have in Gurgaon. It is evident that many famous personalities, celebrities had visited their stores from the photo frames hanging inside the store. They also had dry fruits and gift hampers for the special occasions.

We had Dehi Puri, Rasmalai and Kesar Badam Milk. I loved the Dehi Puri Chaat and Rasmalai but, not a fan of Kesar Badam Milk. I heard the Lassi in here is a must try. The only down side is the lack of seating option instead they have this standing area with wall extensions where you can keep your food and have it. The store interior was really good with intricate roof lighting, wall arts and the staffs were really quick and courteous. Take your parents especially, mothers will love it in here. The pricing seems tad bit high when compared to other places. It was a quick visit so couldn't explore much. Motichoor Laddu and Mysore Pak, which are also their must try sweets.
Durga Sindhuja P
It is one of the places you can try for some reliable and tasty chaat and sweets. We had the dahi bhalla which is absolutely delicious, dahi padpidi , dhokla and the Sweets which were really fresh and tasty. The kalakand melts in the month. It's a bit expensive but worth it.

Have a family member to visit? Anand Sweets to the save! Located on main Commercial Street, this Anand Sweets is very accessible. We've been buying sweets from here for decades now!

Anand's Motichur Ladoos are to kill for! I mean their our sweets are also good, but the Motichur- OMG! Their Motichur and Kaju Katli come with fancy packaging which differentiates it from all their other sweets. They also have these fancy boxes for sale if you want to gift a loved one something special.
Praful
Epitome of sweets, great quality & good selection of packages, but would like to let them know my bad experience last week at the store at 5.30pm with an arrogant sales man who refused to listen and when complained to the cashier, he tried talking to him but the salesman back answered him too, this behavior is unacceptable, hope they groom them better, couldn't write earlier since I was travelling to the US.
Santosh C.s
Feel so disgusted about the experience!! This place is not safe at all
They served a sweet with cockroaches in it. The manager wasnt even sorry about this and he was like this happens and gave a bottle of water. People, please refrain from going to this place if you care about your health! pictures attached.

Though a small outlet my favourite place for chats...the samosa and kachori chat is amazing...the kesar thandai is too good...the best rasmali I have ever eaten
Raghav Seth
The one out of six Anand sweet branches of their own. Everything from the central kitchen tastes the same. I however found that the guys back home in Koramangala have a more extensive menu of chats etc and even do a much much better job. There is hardly space for 5people to stand and eat but I must admit the store is always bustling with folks indulging their sweet tooth. I loved the pyaz kachori and the malai gulls although the veg pattie missed out.
Ayushi Verma
This is my favorite place for my chaat cravings..I love the katori chaat and also the tikki..the kachoris are yummy!
My husband loves hoggin on the mithai and I like the rasgulla a lot.
For snacking their sandwhich dhokla and samosa is good.
They have amazing and fresh variety of sweets.
Supriyo Dey
It is one of the smallest outlet they have. I have been here multiple time and the food quality never disapointed. The quality of sweets and various chaats are fresh and hygenic and tests great. Its worth trying them when in Commercial Street, specially for the people having sweet tooth. However, towards the down side, being small, it do no have sitting area and it really gets crowded at times specially during evening or weekends. But who cares, all it matters is the food quality. Recommended.
Chef "The Foodiee"
I am visiting this place over years. Located on one of the busiest commercial road in bangalore, commercial street. It is a perfect place to have snacks and small bite after tiring shopping. Though the place is very congested but it is fun to eat at Anand. Rabadi, samosas and badam milk are perfect bites as snacks.

Good number of sweets are available. Nice quality and hygiene are maintained very well. I usually buy sugar free sweets like sonpapadi, kaju katli which are the best among all. Good service, it is worth to visit this place.

Value for money !

Anand sweets is the perfect place for a quick bite in-between your shopping spree at commercial street. The chats are very North Indian and a delight for chat lovers. Their sweets are delicious and fresh and most importantly, moderately sweet. They don't kill you off with a sugar overload. The rasmalai is tender and their rabri is melt-in-your-mouth. Also available are khandvi, a gujarati savoury snack, samosas, kachoris and the likes. Highly recommended.
Pavithra Rajagopal
Anand Sweets and Savories is a great snack joint, and is great place to drop by in between all your shopping at commercial street ! A huge chandelier in the pretty small outlet attracted us in. They serve chat items, quick bites and beverages, apart from their unlimited array of sweets that you can take back home. We had some chat and sweets, and it was a refreshing place to stop by on a rather hot afternoon. There's no place to sit however, just built in counters to keep your food on and eat. Food is well priced, with a touch of love and spice in its taste!
Sanaaz R Doust
Been visiting this place ever since I can remember- it's probably the one place where u get good a North Indian chats. Their mithais and the badam milk are delicious and fresh and even their snacks like cutlets and samosas are very good! A must for a quick bite during the day
RJ Heart N Soul (rjheartnsoul.com)
I have been to their outlet in Koramangala which is very well done up and managed. Hence my disappointment when I visited this outlet.
Their selection of Indian sweets, salty items and chats are the same. However the lack of seating (even standing area is limited) and no wash basins is a big letdown.
Their Badam basket and Malai sandwich were okay and doesn't seem to have a fresh taste when compared to their other branches.
Pankhuri Dhingra (FoodTravelPedia)
I have always liked this place whether its kormangla or commercial street their chats are really very nice. Today we tried bhalla papdi chat, raj kachori and samosa chat , everything was nice. Even the sweets were also very tempting.
Manish Chauhan
This place serves all kind of chaat items and they are very good. We were on commercial street and we suddenly wanted to have chaat and I searched on Zomato and this was the highest rated place.

We tried mix chaat, dahi puri etc and it was tasty. Worth trying

You should also try their flavoured milk. It was very good

[No drinking water in a chat store] Yesterday had been to commercial street with family after exhausting all our water carried , we went to anand sweets for some chats and drinks. while we waited for our order i asked the boy to refill a small bottle of water but again we exhausted it after having chats we needed some drinking water. i was surprised that there was no drinking water! wont people feel thirsty after having chats? When i asked the person on the cash counter why no water is provided he was not responsive at all while the boy behind the counter said he already provided one bottle for me. i was totally put off by the attitude... or they should have displayed prominently..."we will NOT give water to customers they need to BUY" .

we were after all customers and not just passer bys asking for drinking water we made a purchase close to 700rs. whats the problem is providing some drinking water for customers? isnt it our culture to provide water?

When I first came to bangalore I was taken here by a friend to cater to my craving for sweets. Till date this remains one of my favourite places for my sweet pangs. Right from the rabri to badam milk ,I like them all. I also like their snacks - kachoris, samosa and other 'chaat' items. So next time your are in commercial street try this, if not already done.
Asad Chaturvedi
A visit to this rather small outlet of Anand was long overdue and once again a Saturday afternnon of shopping on Commercial Street presented the opportunity to gorge on the delicious preparations of both sweets and savouries.

Indulged in matka Rabri, Gulab jamun, rasgulla and rasmalai along with chaats and samosas. Every item was delicious but the matka Rabri took the cake. Soft and melt in your mouth sweet just took my breath away. It is this the only photo that I have posted with this review as if stood out.

Cheers,
Sanjana Chetushan
This is a small outlet on Commercial Street. It can get pretty crowded at times. It is clean with fast and effective service.

Although for my taste, I prefer the nearby Bhagatram Sweets, this place too offers many delectable sweets. Not to mention, an array of delicious chats.

Personal favorites: Mildly heated Badam Halva, Badam milk and Kachori Chat.
Likitha KS
Must visit when I'm shopping on Commercial Street! I eat like 2-3 chilled rabdi. Words can't describe how delicious it is ! The rad malai and the chats are fabulous too. But, the rabdi my god, I feel like eating it now that I'm writing about it ! 😂

The chats are good too. Masala puri and bhel puri are very spicy and tangy! The malai gulla is another must try. So rich and creamy. Absolutely tasty. The badam milk is a let down though, too thick.
Suresh BN
today we were on a eating spree, we started with sort of snacks at Anand sweets. This is one of our old fav joint. Have been visiting for the past 10 plus years. The seating has all gone and it is just standing but the quality has not changed. As it was week day, the choices were minimum. But the papadi chat has been a must have :-) Gulab jamoon is my kidoo's fav here, it is hot and authentic. Don't miss it if you are on commercial street shopping.

Great sweets and yummy chats. Good quality of products. Their kaju burfi is five star level. All products are good. Chat quality is great. Lovely lassi and Badam milk.

A long day of shopping left us super hungry... My cousin reccomends anand for its chat! We headed across a crowded Sunday commercial street and walked into an Anand outlet...

A small outlet with a wide array for sweets displayed on one side and a chaat counter of sorts on the other... They served some great desserts and loads of chat variety...

However the place is too small to accommodate too many people... they do have like a stand in for the ones eating there bit that too tends to get super crowded... So either you take your food outside and find a spot to eat it or stay inside and finish your grub with the crowd!

What we ordered:
*Lassi: A big glass of thick lassi was pretty good in taste and very filling! Topped with some malai which was nice and fresh.

*Badam Milk: a lot of folks were ordering the Badaam milk and it was really yummy with almond pieces in it! Thick and super tasty!

*Channa Chaat: A bowl of Chole with papdi, flavourful spicy mix!

*Dahi Papdi Chaat: papdi mixed with aloo, chutneys and dahi! Again very tasty and full of flavours... The dahi used was fresh and tasted really nice!

We paid about 400 bucks for the whole thing! My cousin picked up some dhoklas for the house... Great fresh dhoklas. Very light and yummy!

Anand Sweets has been serving Bangalore sweet tooth's for a long time... I reallyed liked their chaat! This rating is for their commercial street outlet which had no parking or seating... It probably has better seating arrangements in other outlet... And I plan to visit the other outlets soon.

Good quality sweets and chaats. Decent price. Fast service. Although the outlet is really cramped the quality of food makes it worth it to visit at least a couple of times. Great stuff.

If I crave for some good north Indian chaats, then I prefer Anand Sweets. Good chaats, Sweets and other snacks.

A relatively smaller outlet in Commercial Street as compared to its other outlets in the city. Not enough place to even stand and eat there. But yes, when quality talks, space doesn't matter :)

Must try : Raj Kachori Chaat

Amazing sweet and chaats!
Its always crowded and everything sells so quickly here.
I love their cold badam milk, super yumm and refreshing after all that shopping in Commercial street.

It has best sweets of all, especially anything that is made of kaju! The chats are also really good. My favourite items would be the kaju katli and the badam milk. These are the best here. Yeah its a little expensive but I think its worth it.
Maverickk
Have been going here since they started.Good chats and sweets. The savoury items are not good at all. The prices are on the higher side and keep increasing. 3.5 for taste,3.5 for hygiene and 3 for value for money.

No doubt the best sweet shop in karnataka but the owners are very rude when they talk to the customers during rush hours kindly request the owner to speak softly

Superawesome collection... and great taste. Had the awesome kala jamun and malai golle. Totally great and at good pricing, its totally worth the crowd there. I am loving it. :)

My friend brought me here and, Was I glad !!

Order:

1) Plain Dhokla - Moist and exquisite.
2) Gobi Samosa - I am a Gobi Paratha fan so liked it instantly.
3) Dabeli - First try and loved it.

0.5 less for the space constraint. Take away would be better.

Okay so his place is definitely a 100 on 100 for the quality and quantity! Amazing chats and sweets! It is heaven for all ghat lovers and fair on pocket too!
I have always been a rajkachori loyal to Anand's.
The savouries served here are amazing too!
If you are a chaat lover and you haven't visited this place then you are surely missing out at something worth your taste buds. They have various outlets in and around Bangalore so your can choose and suit your best!

Really like the dry fruits chikki they make. It's super tasty and super healthy.

The chats they serve is good with a lot of options available.

Convenient location. Always crowded.

We wanted to gift someone a box of sweets, since we were from Gurgaon after asking few people landed up at this place. This particular shop is tiny and in the middle of a crowded market. The sweets are tasty and fresh. We tried Mysore Pak and also got a packet of Sugar Free Kaju Katli, which was not bad at all.

If you want a box with 4 rows, they would charge extra upto 100/- which is weird. Overall the sweets are nice and high quality.

North Indian sweets and savouries at their best in Bangalore! That’s perhaps the best way to unfold this place. If you are looking to satisfy that craving for some creamy Rabdi or lip smacking Chaat or some exceptional Badam Milk, then Anand Sweets could be your one stop shop.

The branch at Commercial Street is pretty crowded most of the times as the place is small. Without any seating it can be quite a pain. The ones at Frazer Town and Koramangala have seating and serve a slightly greater variety of items. Though I have not been to the one at Kormangala, the stuff you order is prepared pretty swiftly in both the branches.

The star for me was the Chilled Rabdi. Laced with the some silver foil on top, every little bite was incredible. The Rabdi is served in a matka (earthen pot) which keeps the Rabdi all the more dense. The Badam Milk was like the one I have never had before. Slightly thick with some impeccable flavours blended into it. Every sip had the subtle flavours of Kesar or Saffron coming in very well. The Lachha Tokri Chaat is something which is not available so easily in Bangalore and this is one thing which you wouldn’t want to miss here. Crispy at the bottom and sides, tangy every now and the, spiciness coming in at the right time, with a good portion of curd all over it. The Raj Kachori sort of shared the same traits. The Paneer Dohkla had its quintessential individuality retained as it was light and fluffy. The paneer came in very well and added that bit of delight to the subtle flavours of the Dohkla. The game spoiler for me was the Bhel Puri at the Frazer town branch. It was quite a let-down. The Commercial Street branch is definitely better than the one in Frazer Town.

Would love to visit their Koramangala branch and try their Gobi Samosas and Cholae Bathura someday!

Crowded commercial street, rainy weekend evenings, a growling stomach and the craving to eat something hot led us to this place. We ordered paneer pakodas, paneer cutlets, veg patties and a rasgulla. The rasgulla was soft and delicious, all the savoury items were delicious. The paneer was soft, yummy and complimented the batter perfectly. No complaints on the over all taste.
Coming to the cons, the place is highly cramped, no place to sit and not a lot of place to stand comfortably either. The chutney that accompanied the dishes was too salty, I wish they had heated the items to a certain degree too. The pricing is a little on the heavier side. All in all, a good place to eat, don't even hope for any parking space, but rest assured the taste well not let you down.

Statutory warning: please bring rupees in all denominations and adequate change to be privileged enough to eat at this eat out.
So when I wanted to place an order for a samosa I was outrightly refused because I did nor have adequate change! As a popular eat out I don't see how they can function without change.. And they were completely non apologetic about it showing me the different denominations they have which they require to preserve for other customers! They did not even make an attempt to get change to honour my order! What sort of attitude is this? Whatever happened to customer service in this world..just because it was a small order which hardly matters to this eat out they show this kind of attitude? But please be rest assured that as a matter of principle I will never step into this shop again or recommend it to others! They first need some lessons in customer service before running their eat out! Atrocious.

Everything is good but place is cramped. Milk quality they use is probably best compared to any sweet shop in Bangalore. Don't waste money on Samosa, rest all is fine. Slightly costly considering they don't have enough place to stand and order. Don't forget to buy motichoor laddoo.

This outlet of anand sweets does not have a dine in so just tried out bhalla papdi chat and aloo tikki. Chutney and filling of the chaat was good and had the right flavours.

This was one of my favourite places to eat evening snacks until the day I had a disastrous experience here.
The quality of the food is good. However the service cannot even be rated a 1. It should be in the negative.
I do not like Raw Onions in any of my dishes. I ordered a Masala Puri and despite clearly mentioning that I do not want Onions added in it, it was added. I asked the waiter the reason it was prepared with Onions and he said take it or leave it.
That was very poor service.
Another time, I went to have snacks from this place and had Paneer Pakoda and Paneer Cultets. This time, after having some dry items, I asked to get some water. The waiter refused and said there's no water available and that I needed to purchase water. That was ridiculous. Even fast food joints provide free water.
That's when I decided this restaurant had to be struck off my list.

For a quick bite, the place has a variety of chaats to offer.
The food is fresh and place is hygenic compared to most places in comm street.
Love the Dahi based chaats here! :)
If u go to this place try out the rusgulas ...it soo yummm... all the chats which you get thr taste the same but the sweets are amazing and also you must try the badam milk ! Overall a decent place

From then to now,I loved stopping over at Anand during our shopping sprees to grab a quick bite, but now,I find the food to be okay as compared to before, the reason for this rating would be because I have had food at Anand Sweets before and the quality is deteriorating and the prices are shooting up day by day.

Located on the busiest shopping destination in Bangalore, actually one of the few places to eat on this street.
I have tried pretty much everything on their menu
Badam Milk:Earlier they use to add a lot of nuts and it was delicious, but now it's just plain badam milk, that is very sweet and quite disappointing I must say.
Rasmalai: Okay, but I prefer KC Das
Gulab Jamun: Quite good
Mix Chaat: A great choice, but on the pricey side
Overall a nice place, clean and there are a lot of mouthwatering sweets on display.

Located in the middle of a crowded market, this place can be a pain if you are not there for shopping. Parking is a huge problem near this place. I would recommend this place only if you are out for shopping at commercial street. They lack variety when it comes to north indian snacks. They provide certain items only on weekends :O
Though the snacks are hygienic but the taste is not something to dig for. This place is not very expensive but they can surely work on getting their menu healthier and their food tastier. The only advantage they have is that commercial street does not have a hygienic fast food joint. I wish they consider my feedback and improve. Till then try other options :)

The total lack of eating options in one of the busiest shopping areas in bangalore is not the only reason that keeps making me go back to this place. Being a chaat lover and someone with a MAJOR sweet tooth, this place has best of both worlds.
The dahi wala chaats are the best I've had in bangalore. I also love their lassi which always is 'malai maarke' and even their badam milk is very refreshing.
Their sweets are also oh so yummy and I usually go for the bengali ones, primarily rasmalai and rasgulla.

Often when we are done walking around or shopping on Commercial Street we end up having a plate of Chaat and Badam milk here. Of course, there are times when I have carried sweets for friends from here but the snacking has been more regular!

The kachoris and samosas are well done and the cold Badam milk just makes you want for more. Additionally, it is always very consistent in taste.

Pros: Good food, good selections, decent place for chaats.

Cons: Staff needs to be more hospitable, the place gets crowded during peak shopping hours.

Recommended – Cashew Sweets are always the best. But while in the area, stop by at least for the Badam Drink and a Chaat.
