Me and my wife we started to frequent this restaurant last year in 2020 after the first lock down. Since than we have been frequenting this restaurant for sea food. It's nice authentic manglorean style taste, the ambience is nice. This place also has bar and liquor is served. The service is top notch by all the staff where the recommended dishes were good and tasty. Mr. Satish Manager has a nice flare for Customer Service.

I have been visiting sea spice for over 4 years now and it's one of the best places in South Bangalore. The differentiating factor for this restaurant is the freshness of sea food and the brilliant taste. We have tried many dishes here like the pomfret fry, prawns kolivada, chicken and crab ghee roast , their ghee roast biriyani, and more and it has never disappointed us. Getting fresh crab is very hard but this is one of those few restaurants who have got them. So don't miss it. Apart from those dishes, the sathe chicken or sathe paneer is really nice if you don't mind a less spicy dish with groundnut based coating. The pricing here is on the higher side but it's definitely worth it. Overall, we have enjoyed our meals here every time and I would highly recommend this place for sea food lovers.
Bhargav Prakash
We had really good sea food. Loved the sea food Thali and Dum Biriyani. I recommend this hotel for sea food lovers. The service is also great.

Was there for a lazy Sunday noon lunch. This place has been around for years and glad that they maintain the same taste and quality as before. The ghee roast prawn and banana leaf wrapped fish masala was cooked to perfection. Same with stews. The coconut based mocktail was similar to a tangy buttermilk. It felt more of" food" than a casual drink and we loved this. The drink of the day was barley based. Very good on its own, even better with vodka! We didn't take pics as was busy stuffing face! The place is on slight expensive side but worth it! Kind staff and gentle ambience. Place is well maintained and clean.

Friendly atmosphere and taste was excellent. Manager Yashodhara of First Floor was very supportive to accommodate table without pre-booking. We visited with family for Dinner. We had huge variety of veg dishes and starters.

Must try for coastal cuisine!! I rarely give 5stars to any restaurant, but these guys deserve it. Food is ofcourse just next level! The fresh moist fish with spicy hit of chilli and soothing creaminess of coconut. Must try. What I was also impressed with was the warm dinner plates. A system they have in place of providing bowl for bones. Clean and spotless glasses and cutlery. Perfectly Chilled beer. Clean restrooms. The politeness of the staff and warm smiles. What else one needs at the end of a tiring day at work?

Excellent food and very courteous service. Captain Yashodhar and waiters Prashant, Naveen, Poornesh and Yeshwant took very good care of us.
Rashmi Prashanth
The amazing sea food, you get right here! I enjoyed every bit of fish, prawns and egg we ordered. It's a must visit restaurant.
Rachana M R
Food was good and ambience was relaxing.
There is a huge gap in terms of price vs food quantity. Suggestion is to add the prices for sea food in the menu before taking the order.
Dev
Sea food is great. Authentic and the service is great
Usha Aradhya
No loud music. No noisy crowd. Very chilled atmosphere. Everything we ordered was great. Croaker fish fry, pomfret fry, baby corn chilli and even the yellow dal fry. Very courteous and friendly staff. If you want to enjoy a peaceful drink and dinner with family without the drama of fancy pubs, this is the place.

Hrishikesh Prabhu
Overall the food was good and delicious. But when we ordered for chicken ghee roast with neer dosa, manager didn't inform us that it would be dry. We assumed that it'll be with gravy (many places they give with little amount of gravy) which is sufficient for neer dosa. When we asked manager he started arguing which was bit offending . I would like to rate this place
Food - 7/10
Ambience - 7/10
Price - 7/10
Staff behavior - 6/10

Great ambience..... Food was good but staff there were not interested to serve the customer anymore, they were busy in doing there own stuffs and we have to call everytime for serving and ordering new stuffs.....Else everything was fine

If you are looking for a mangalore based restaurant this is the place, their chicken ghee roast and egg Bhurjee are a favourite and anything with seafood is amazing. The rooftop has a lovely ambience to it.

One of my friends introduced me to this restaurant and I decided to visit along with 7 of my friends on Saturday night, from that day till today it's been my favourite seafood restaurant around the block, It's my go-to place now. You should try their seafood platters, chicken sukka, prawns fry and Many more, they taste amazing! trust me. Staff are the polite, quite helpful and the best part they know what they are selling. If you are a seafood person I'll definitely recommend to go for it.
Long review alert๐Ÿ˜

Unless you are going specifically to a Mangalorean restaurant because
1. You are ghee roast fanatics like our family
2. And only want to eat that
3. And you are going to judge a restaurant by the taste of itโ€™s ghee roast chicken/prawn/egg
You will love the food here! I did!

The foremost thing is that each of the dishes you order (at least ones we ordered) was unique in the sense quite different from each other in preparation, taste and look. The steward said that he does not suggest repetitive items. But to get him to suggest itself was bit of a challenge๐Ÿ˜‚as he was the only steward on a busy Saturday evening. The staff were courteous when available but they seemed to be stretched on the weekend. Going here weekday would definitely have been better.

The ambiance was your average, relatively newer bar and restaurant and moderate space. My brother checked out the open air floor and said that was nicer. But we wanted food piping hot so we had preferred to sit downstairs. But hot food was not to be. We speculated that the exhaust fan had broken because there was smoke/frying smells now and then and the ordered dishes arrived quickly but most were cold which could possibly be because of a makeshift fan or something. We were not too happy with the dishes arriving cold to lukewarm. Few of the dishes did come in piping hot though.

Another thing that looks like a problem not fixed is the beer (from older reviews) โ€“ it is never chilled cold. I am sure there are some exceptional people who like their beer lukewarm but we did not belong to this category. This was another negative. The fruit punch was average and priced a bit high I felt. The price in general is too high if compared to other restaurants of the same caliber.

There were no complementary snacks like sandige etc that is given with beer and drinks like they do at the other Mangalorean restaurants.

Now here it is - the best for last โ€“ the food.

Home Made Spicy Chickenย which was chicken strips with green chillies and a hint of some spinach or some greens. I liked it because it was fresh, piping hot and the greens gave it a unique taste.

Squid rings fryย was my favourite. It was spiced just right including the ginger garlic. It was the small squid which was tender and melt in your mouth. The crispiness was also just right. Only thing the dish was not hot. But this was the best squid ring fry I have had tastewise and I have had a lot๐Ÿ˜. Make sure when you order this, the squid is small to medium. The bigger ones are chewy and will destroy the taste.

Chicken Ghee Roast is not really the Mangalorean Ghee Roast masala that you might have tried elsewhere and loved. This dish was tasty but was in no way ghee roast.

Prawn Pepper Fry was one of the best I have had in Bangalore. We asked for small prawns. The coating and not too crispy frying was right with just the right amount of pepper. Delish!

Anjal Naked Fry was decent. No fishy smell, the fish was fresh.

Egg Chutney Kabab - Green coconut chutney on top of half of boiled egg. This was different and yum but was served almost cold.

Chicken winglet in sea spice sauce was piping hot and pretty good.

We ended the meal with a coconut pudding. It was tasty but if you donโ€™t like cardamom powder, ask them to avoid it on top of the pudding.

The food satiated us; we did not order any mains. Rating this as 5 despite the flaws in service, hot beer, cold food, smoke etc. just for parity as I have rated some lesser tasty food places at 5*. Finally, we go to a restaurant for tasty food and a good family time and when both are ok and you feel you can repeat the experience (which is a rare thing for me), then it is a 5*

Wonderful place to have typical Mangalorean Sea Food. Both veg and non-veg menu was amazing. Coastal food at its best. Highlight and my favourite was Fried Ice Cream!
Rahul Datta
Chicken ghee roast , Kane masala fry , chicken gassi with neer dosa was absolutely lip smacking and delicious .I was lucky enough to meet a celebrity actor Prakash Belvadi as well . Ambience is acceptable but the food is cooked with passion and is a satisfying experience .

Happened to go here with a friend of mine who had come from the US. Her and I have been meaning to visit this place from 2013 but it never happened till now.

Ordered the prawn ghee roast, krab masala, kori roti, chicken gravy and appam. The food was yummy and cooked to perfection.
I had ordered a beer and it wasn't cold enough. Service was pretty quick and I enjoyed the whole experience.

A fine place to dine with your family. It's a treat for sea food lovers. Great service. Drinks are genuinely priced. There is a separate area for smokers. Most importantly ample space for car parking :)

Had been to this place with my 4 year old son and friends.. Very nice ambience.. Food was very tasty. The na ager specially was very polite and courteous.. Best place for sea food. Good Ambience with good staff behavior. Cost is high. Sea food price is high.
Perfect place for Big bunch of people to visit.
Deepa H.N
Please do not order from this place. Dining there is fine. They cheat on the order and deliver less items and decline answering saying order was placed from zomato. They shift the blame and escape.
I had ordered for 3 items and they just delivered 2 and spoke rudely when asked abt third item saying it is all packed together. Looking at the content, does it seem like normal? I suggest never to order or pay online before delivery.

The food quality is getting deteriorated day by day. Received a bad quality food and the manager refused to replace it. I had to leave the food on the table and pay for it.
CHAITALI PRABHU
Ambiance was ok..Food and service was good..Kane masala fry is must try..Good place to be with family.. Overall this place is good for Mangalorean food..

If you are a sea food lover, then this is the kind you would enjoy. The menu has a variety but the sea food is the speciality here. The service is good, the ambiance on the rooftop can be worked on. If you are a family the restaurant on the second floor is ideal. The managers are very helpful in suggesting their best. Their costal menu is the best to choose from.
Adithi Shenoy
Kori roti was good ... but chicken geehroast was not up to the mark and felt the restaurant to be a bit pricey! But the service was excellent... the manager polite in answering our questions !
Kidz Zoom
The place seems to be good and service too. The menu is also pretty good, But the food are not good for the price we pay. The price is really high . The masal seems to be same taste for every curry items you order. For those who are good at cooking will definitely say this. And the chicken used in the curries order are not fresh. It seems to be frozen for a week. And also the meats smell .The smell was of the meat not washed for more than once. I felt like it waste going to the restaurant and paying so high for the food..
Pradeep Prakash
I love the food at this restaurant.

Good place to visit with ur family clean hygienic environment an excellent ambience. Telling about the food now , the food is good and of a standard quality the seafood is amazing if u take my words into consideration then u must have openfried egg gravy and neerdosa it is amazing and I bet u will defiantly order another one , and it is pretty costly. ;)

My friend was raving about this place n decided to go with him for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Decided to sit outside as my friend smokes. Sitting outside was better than sitting inside for you get natural air n the breeze made it apt. To begin with v had pudina egg n Chicken pepper fry. Both were nice and the way pudina egg was made, had never seen like that before. Then it was the time for chicken lollypop n It was not well done. Could have made little better. Tasted average. V had chicken manchow soup. While my friend liked it, I wasn't pleased with the soup. Have tasted better ones. Moreover the crispy noodles that he gives as a topping want fresh. You can smell the oil that's kind of old kinds. It was the time for main course. Had chicken schezwan fried rice. While my friend found it spicy, I wasn't thrilled. Moreover they use basmati rice for fried rice n that's a big turnoff. It was average n not bad.. Overall its an average experience n nothing to rave about.

Sea spice / shetty gardenia is a fantastic place for Mangalore style food. They have an ac restaurant and a rooftop. I preferred the ac to the rooftop mostly because the rooftop had too much wind. The ambience of the ac restaurant is also lovely, family friendly. They have an outdoor seating which is for smoking? Looks nice but I've Never tried it
Coming to the most important part the food..
I have tried stir fried veggies, tandoori jumbo prawns, anjal fry, silver fish fry, Pomfret tava fry, steamed Pomfret and squid rings. The steamed Pomfret is one of the most amazing things I've tried. Perfectly cooked fresh Pomfret in spicy green curry!! Yummy. The tava fried Pomfret is also very tasty. I wasn't a big fan of the prawns, too chewy. Squid rings were chinese couldn't really taste the squid.
The combo of prawn uruval ( not sure of actual pronunciation) or prawn ghee roast with neer dosa is fantastic.. But the waiters have forgotten to get them together multiple times. Have had to tell them that they should be got together. Rice and silver fish curry is also a good combo. The chicken items are not as good as the fish items. Nati chicken curry is bland and not very tasty, nor is the biryani
A great place for Mangalore style fish food.. Miss the chicken items and ask them to serve neer dosa with the curry!
Vcharu1604
One of the best sea food I have ever had here. Chilli fish I liked the most here. The most delicious and popular dish here is neer dosa with Veg ghassi/Veg stew.

Had an exceptional time here last Saturday dinner ... Found the Crab (garlic and butter) to be very fresh and prepared in perfection. The serving staff were very cordial, and I enjoyed interacting with the restaurant manager, Sathish Gowda who gave a detailed view of the restaurant offerings. I am looking forward to tray other sea specialties and lobster in particular.
#ITINERARY
One of the best sea food restaurant in bangalore. Ambience is decent.Price is little expensive but worth paying.they use all local spices, specially brought from mangalore which gives the taste of home. Mutton biryani is one among my favorites. When it comes to desert - dry ice cream and kokum is must try.
Pramod
Have been here a couple of times. Initially it looked like a family dining restaurant but over time it has become more of a bar & restaurant. Nowadays we get the food home. Speciality is the mangalorean food. The food is decent.

It's our 5th visit to Sea Spice! This place never disappoints.. Every seafood lover should bookmark this place.. ๐Ÿ˜Š Mr. Satish displayed welcoming hospitality, he made sure our preferences are taken care.

Worst ever service and food....... don't ever try this restaurant..... it's waste of money and time.... It will ruin your evening..... staff behaviour's rude and pathetic
Pramukh Natesh
Very bad service, very food. But ridiculously priced seafood.
We did enjoy the food, but the staff are especially the one in billing is totally rude.
Laxman S Kamath
Super place.. super food..super service.. always love eating here.. no matter what.. when.. even if you are crowded.. service doesn't deteriorate..
Swathi Vasan
The whole experience was a disaster right from the get go,we arrived at the restaurant and spent 10 mins standing in the middle and no one came to help us with the seating.
They finally led us to our seats, then forgot about us for another 20 minutes no menu no water Nothing. After calling the manager he got us the menu. The crowd is really bad. Too loud and crass.
The waiters are pathetically slow and arrogant.the whole place is in chaos. Food is highly mediocre send overpriced . Service is terrible.overall we went home with a headache.
Shubha Amin
Tasty food but turns bitter in mouth n tummy once you see the bill. Honestly I don't know why it's so pricey for basic stuff as well. Plus there is also no great ambience. But this place got for the rates of a 5 star resto . Went here a couple of times. Took a prawn gravy and paid more than 650 Bill for a few frozen rubbery prawns in the gravy of little qauntity. Would go for a drink here n a starter n main course n pay above 3000 as Bill. We stopped going there then. May be it's high time they take a que from places like namma kudla where sea food is better n fresh n never expensive.
Mayur Upadhya
We've been going to this restaurant for the past few years now. The quality of the food and the service has been top notch for the price. This time as well, their Anjal Masala Fry was awesome. So were the Kori Rotti and chicken gassi. The solkadhi was fresh and tasted very good (even compared to the solkadhi that I usually have in Maharashtra). Neer dose with sweet coconut milk was excellent as well! This is an underrated restaurant, I feel.
Varun Naik
Milk shakes here are really awesome. Waiting time is a bit more but ambienxe is not bad and waiters are pleasant overall a good expereince. Will be back
Nishanth Prabhu
We always head to this place for mangalorean cuisine... Never disappoints.. Have tried their chicken/crab/prawns ghee roast, shell fish sukka, anjal masala fry, neeru dosa etc...

No complaints.. Fish has always been fresh...
I guess this is one of the few places in Bangalore where you get solkadi!

Price is on the higher side though, might burn a hole in the pocket especially if you go for the sea food!
Swetha S
After a very long ago dropped in here for dinner. We opted to sit out in the 1st floor (thank god it was pretty breezy).
The view is not that great from 1st floor outside seating but the rooftop ambience is pretty good.
Since it was too hot and to beat the heat we ordered vanilla milk shake, sweet lemon juice, Kokum sherbet.
Starters we had aloo pepper fry, it was amazing not too spicy and it was melt in the mouth kind.
Main course- butter roti with veg Kadai. The latter was too spicy even then it was yummy. It had lots of veggies in it and tasted good.
All in all it's a tasty place for especially non vegetarians. Even for vegetarians they have lots of tasty options.
On a weekend the whole place is full and initially we got our order immediately but later on as the crowd started swelling the service became slow.
You can drop in any time and you won't be disappointed.
Ishant Sapra
Affordable prices and a rooftop restaurant are twin advantages .. the food is fine .. dal fry is a must try here ... Service was a bit slow .. overall it was a good experience .. nice place to chill with friends

I just this place very often as it one of my favorite for sea food and Mangalore style dishes
Just the right amount of variety of dishes
With right quantity and quality my personal choice is kori roti with naati chicken curry and a glass of cool shandy ( mix of sprite and beer ) have also tried the dosas and the crab cooked to perfection
Good ambience with helpful staff
Must visit place in Bsk
Vinod.narasimhaiah
One of the best places for seafood and mangalore style cuisine.
We usually order Chicken Ghee roast, Prawn Sukka, stuffed Pomfret, Neer Dosa and veg stew or Chicken curry. Never been disappointed with the taste or service. Must try.
Nikhil Rudrappa
One of the best sea food places in Bengaluru at very reasonable prices. Best to go with a group of 3-4 to try out a number of dishes. Fish, calamari, prawns... Etc etc.

Would recommend beer too to wash it all down.

Bliss!
Swastika Chatterjee
The place is very hard to locate but its worth the effort. Food is absolutely amazing. Neer dosa and Anjal Curry are my all time favorite dishes here. Ambience, Service, etc are ok but the (sea) food here makes up for everything.
Prajwal N
Decent ambience but the food was extraordinary..!!๐Ÿ˜˜ we tried fish fry, curry, crab, kori rotti, neer dose. All the dishes were amazing. Hope the same will be maintained
Deeptha
I ordered prawn sukka with neer dose and Chicken Lollipop here. The prawn sukka and neer dose combination was delicious. But the chicken Lollipop was a disaster. It was badly cooked and I couldn't eat it. The ambiance was good and staff were friendly. They even offered to replace the Lollipop when we told them about it.
Anusha Prakash
An absolute favourite! The food is simply delicious. The Anjal Masala starter is wonderful. The Anjal curry with both the appams and neer dosa is fantastic. A little expensive, but for the quality of food it is worth every penny. Excellent place for quality sea food.
