The place is good to enjoy evenings. Since it is pretty new, not much crowd is there and also staff is easily approachable. The food though took time to come to table but was really good. Loved: cheese poppers, pizza Average taste: pasta Good variety of drinks was available. One major thing that I found was that there were games like pool and foosball. The advantage was no crowd was there so we could fully enjoy without being in tension of eating food and leaving early.

If you are a filmy keeda and want to be treated like a star-head out to new place in Marathahalli called Matinee. Ambience is very sporty and filmy. It has pictures of the movies and film stars. It also has a pool table and Foosball table. The place can accommodate about 100 people. They also have full fledged bar with amazing offers on drinks and also have buffet options with varieties of spread. Perfect place for corporate events too. Cocktails were amazing,tried few of them. Kudos to the bartender in particular. Starters tried were- • Thai Corn Bhel- perfect one to start the course complimented well with cocktails • Tawa Chicken - loved the taste -a must try BBQ • Saffroni Fish- Loved the fish which was perfectly marinated and tasted great too • Grilled Lebanese Chicken - Good • Chicken Wings- Glad we tried it Main Course • Butter Roti - Good • Murgh Masala - was perfect and complimented well with roti • Chicken Biryani- Done with the perfect spices and a joy to have Desserts • Mango Cheese cake • Tiramisu The Desserts were good and my personal favourite was mango cheese cake-just loved it. A meal for 2 would cost around Rs 1500-1800/- along with a couple of cocktails Service was very good. They were able to cater the food according to taste and were happy to explain to the dishes. A matinee show is available in the long stretch busy marathalli road. The matinee by the by is the restaurant at marathalli which has a nice cinema theme,posters put up on the walls and small reels and replica cameras hung up. The ambience of the restaurant where you can dine too seems to be good they have posters of matinee idols every where. 🇸The service at the restaurant is mean. I had to wait for a long time for my cocktails, however the food was served pretty quickly. 🇫🍽️ What I ate??? 🍴Tempura Prawn➡️The prawns were pretty big in size. The tempura Prawn could have been much better,too much of flour may have indered it. 🍴Basil flavoured chicken dimsun➡️ The chicken dimsuns looked premium and straight out of high end restaurant. The fillings with chicken tasted good. 🍴Corn spinach dimsuns➡️ Yet another dimsun which had the corn as the fillings, tasted good. 🍴The grill had the conventional veg and non veg starters in them. I loved their paneer grill and most of the chicken grill. The sea food grills were really good. I would suggest the management to come up with some extra dips so that it can go well with the grills. 🍴Hunan chicken➡️I liked the Hunan chicken, it was saucy and Juicy. They were simple yet tasted good. 🍴Pasta➡️ I went with the white sauce penne pasta. They tasted pretty good. 🍴Mango cheese cake➡️ The presentation of the mango cheese cake was pretty good. They not only looked good put also tasted excellent. 🍴Tiramisu➡️Tiramisu was pretty good, loved the powder which was spread on the cake. 🍴Daiquiri➡️ It was a mixture of light rum, lime and syrup. The presentation and the taste were good. It was served on a long handle glass. All in all matinee is a wonderful restaurant which have reasonable prices both in their food and drinks. Their cocktails cost you for less than 200. Their buffet pricing is also very reasonable. The ambience is quite refreshing and different. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at matinee. Matinee or in Old School meant a afternoon show of a movie. This place was no less than a Matinee show. Located on the ever busy Marathahalli main road just before Jalsa Restaurant,this place serves some of the best cocktails and tasty food. Spread on the ground floor with a capacity of around 80-90 pax, this place boasts of a good ambience and nice interiors. Has a full fledged bar with a amazing bartender. Here the Bartender is a asset and whips up some of the best cocktails in Style and taste. This restaurant has also a incredible chef who takes pride in serving some good lip smacking food to its patrons. Retro place! This is a perfect place in the heart of the newly developed region of Bangalore. Ideal for a family brunch, or an office get together, or even a date lunch. The place has good food with a huge area, nice services and a facility of both indoor and outdoor seating. It has clean washrooms and polite staff. Coming to the food, they have all kinds of food - Continental, Italian, Mexican, Indian. A must try for young lot out there!

Location is good. Food is good not best. Staff behaviour should improve. They are not provide buffet menu, they are ignoring they don't have any buffet menu. If you are going for buffet then be sure on call or message buffet available in same day.

My experience is based on the limited order, I made. I just ordered a Paneer starter, and Broccoli Almond Soup. Both the dishes were absolutely delightful. Soup was perfectly creamy for my taste Place was bit empty for a Saturday Evening, however that helped my kid to just roam around freely. The ambience is entirely like its name.it is completely filmy style from inside. The food is also good. It also has foosball and pool to play. The live grill bbq is nice but has very less options. We had Chinese here and that was good.

Wok to Asia, earlier, has now advanced to a multi-cuisine joint. I'm just glad they retained their previous menu and only added to it. 1. The tomato basil soup is really, really good - was great for my sore throat! However, they could dial down the sweetness a tad. 2. The asparagus and water chestnut dim sums are always part of my orders here. Must try! 3. Oscar fries were well made with just the right amount of seasoning 4. Yummy returns - Mozzarella sticks - really really yummy! 5. Butter garlic noodles was for the kiddo and rather tasty 6. Highlight was the Schezwan noodles -- for the first time in a long time did I get served with spice levels matching my expectations!

Per the name, this place is meant to enjoy with a bunvh of friends, with options to choose from and dirt cheap cocktails. They have buffet as well as ala carte which are equally good. The buffet is a grill one. Their forte is Chinese and I am sure you will enjoy the same. The cocktails @129 is an exciting offer

Visited newly launched Matinee last week with family. Loved the ambience and the new look. Interestingly, they have pasted famous dialogues on the walls of which "Mookambo kush hua" is one of my favorite ones :) One dish that deserves special mention is Chicken Keema kabab on tandoori naan. I start drooling whenever I think about it! We even tried Hand tossed Pizza & Burger both of which were made from scratch, including the buns, which were softer than cotton! All in all a great place to satiate variety of food cravings under one roof. Highly recommend it. Below is the pic of my favorite dish!

The food was on the bland side and the mocktails were very sweet. The place was empty, there was no one expect us. However the jalapeno cheeseballs were the only good dish that was served.

Went there for lunch buffet. Saw their menu online but when we reached there we found the options are very less. There were 4 starters which were good but when it comes to live counter there was none. No welcome drink or mocktails, pizza, pasta, noodles, Sushi , live chat counter and veg biriyani all these items were written in their buffet menu which is present online but none of them were served. Only two curries in main course which was surprising. There were insects flying over the salad. Overall taste was good but options were less as compared to price which was 650 per person.

This place has buffet but it is not equiped go handle more than 10 folks at a time. Quality changes each time they bring new portion yonserve from the kitchen lacks consistency in taste. Mocktail and cocktails are good. But they need improvement. Even desserts need huge improvement

No doubt the ambience is great. However there were a lot of things which brings it to 2 star. In any restaurant when they charge a normal water bottle twice the original price or higher, it upsets me. Food taste wasn't great though compared to the price. Overall not recommended for people who want to eat, it's only recommended for people who want to drink.

I visited this place with my team for lunch buffet on a weekday. The spread was very very limited. No welcome drink served. I would say it was unfair for vegetarians as there were only 3 veg starters and very limited and average options in main course too (dal, paneer and rice). The chicken wings weren't juicy and seemed like it wasn't fresh. Desserts were decent. Ambience is nice and peaceful with good music.<br/>

One of the worst buffet we have been in recent past. They had only 2 folks to serve entire restaurant resulting in empty tables for most of the time. Only 4 veg starters with average ambiance. More than half of the items had empty bowl in main course and desert. Service can't be poorer than this.

Well! Matinee for a team lunch last week, first of all nice ambience. Food left me wishing for more. Spread is quite limited and was over almost every time I turned up. Friendly people around though to fill up immediately. Improve the vegetarian spread, just one suggestion.

A nice cinema themed restaurant! Had been here for team lunch, Must say the ambience was really catchy and food was delicious. Crispy corn, fish and popcorn chicken was yum among starters and in main course the Mumbai prawns curry was real yum. The buffet had many other varieties and also there was sushe among them😊.The staff was welcoming but I felt service was little slow otherwise had a yummy tummy expierance 😊.

Went to this place for team lunch... We we're about 18 ppl... It was a terrible experience.. service was bad for everything we asked about 10times... Food was terrible.. I saw flies sitting on the cut fruits.. for roti we had to wait for about 25min.. ac wasn't working.. really a big dissappointment

The ambience of the place is good and the food is decent but the bad service really overshadows everything else. Friday lunchtime at a restaurant close to a tech park should be the best time for business requiring all hands on deck. But this place was severely understaffed and apathy from the available staff just worsened the situation. Food was ok except for the melon cooler that I ordered: I got a strawberry milkshake instead:( overall, this place really needs to up its game. Whatever customers it is getting will soon stop coming due to the bad service.

Went to this place for a team lunch, i had asked the waiter to suggest some cocktails they suggest me tender coconut martinee that was the best cocktail for the summer must try. they have amazing spread of chaats self service counter, for starter i liked the crispy corn satay they are just awesome, grilled pineapple is just yummy. Also they have live pasta corner with pink sauce it was nice pasta. We also asked them to get grilled prawns which they arranged on our request, it was mouth watering. coming to the main course i had thai green curry with steamed rice and mutton curry with roti was awesome. They provide huge number of options for veg &non-vegetarian.<br/> must try grilled fish and veg cutlet My personal favorite out of their veg menu was grilled pineapple they have very good main course and live yummy pasta counter. Their dessert section also very good.<br/><br/>You can never come out of the place, because they have pool table and poos ball which is kept garden area we had very good time @ matinee bar and kitchen .and they have space for something. Good place for office outings and group outings specially.<br/><br/>The attendants are highly active and responsive. Full marks for service quality.

Went on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. We tried the buffet... The starters and soup were bland, the grilled starters are limited (only 2 for veg) and yet they were made poorly.<br/>In the main course, Biryani had no chicken and Thai curry was too sweet. Daal was decent.<br/>There were many servers but all of them looked confused and lost. It took forever to get the grilled starters and when they finally arrived, some of them were ovegrilled.<br/>Just when we started to walk towards the buffet for main course, the waiter kept asking us about our choice of roti (bread)... Well, how can I decide which roti I want before deciding whether I will eat indian or Thai or Italian main course. And he didn't even list out the variety of rotis available.<br/><br/>Overall - I appreciate that the food variety was limited but then it should have made up in taste, but it didn't. And the service was also a letdown.

Polite staff (Sanjib was very nice at service) plus excellent Chicken tikka masala, made a nice dinner. The ambience is also good, lighting could be better.

I was skeptical about this place as another restaurant  which was at the same place before this one was not that good. We went with the team and I must say the quality of food was amazing. Lip smacking starters and great tasting food. variety is limited but whatever they make was tasty.<br/><br/>I'd recommend lasooni dal, barbeque startes etc.

I read about the rating and went to have Asian cuisine. Very nice Sushi. Extremely Friendly Staff and good. Overall a good experience. Avacado and Tofu sushi is a must try.

If you are looking for value for money than this could be right place otherwise am not find any thing special abt this place.<br/>1. Starters- Hot n Sour chicken soup good one.<br/>Chicken starters are not at all good. <br/>Prawns are the best.<br/>Corns very oily. <br/>2. Grill - could have been better, again chicken wings are not rightly prepared. <br/>The marination recipe need to improve.<br/>3. Main course- <br/>a. The Indian cuisine - it’s ok ok type.<br/>b. The Thai cuisine- the Thai curry and steam rice - really worth to have here. The noodles perfectly cooked and tasty as well.<br/>4. Desserts- many varieties.<br/>Ambience is good,not crowded. Cutlery’s are perfect.

We went on a weekday for lunch buffet. As there were not much booking for the buffet, they served everything on the table only. There are varieties of starters, both veg and non veg.Taste wise every item was good. Service was also good. We were served by Sanjeev who was always ready to serve with a smile.<br/><br/>But we were disappointed seeing no mutton item. And due to less booking Biriyani was also not prepared. Dessert options were also not much.<br/><br/>I will suggest not to go for lunch in weekday as you may end up finding only yourselves in the restaurant, which feels awkward sometimes.<br/><br/>

We visited this place with friends on weekend. They have opened this place recently. Food wise it's average and drinks were good.<br/>This is ideal place for people who are working nearby techparks prestige, ETB & Ecoworld and want to avoid traffic on weekdays/weekends and hangout.

Food was simple yet tasty. People at service were really nice. The music was not so entertaining, especially given that my wife and I were the only one's present for a late Sunday dinner. But that is no deterrent for me not to give a 5 star rating. I will revisit soon.

There is no star below 1 otherwise I would have given that. Had a get together with friends but this was the worst experience ever. Food is not at all good. Pasta was OK OK, servicing I will give "0". No staff will ask for anything, no finger bowl, which restaurant will say no for that n that to when u have asked for it. Ordered garlic naan which was not cooked properly n there was no garlic at all. When we complained only 1 he gave as replacement. It will be good if I don't say anything about the dessert. I will never recommend this place n no second visit ever.

Went on Sunday. Dint know they dont have buffet then. Went with choice of order and they have awesome dimsims. Great service. Sanjeev has been a great host.<br/>

I am writing this review after being there for atleast 6 times. This place used to be a hidden gem till the ratings went to 4.2. The ambiance is just perfect to have a relaxed dinner and you can play pool or foosball. Chefs also prepare some dishes not on the menu if you request. They serve chips while the food comes.<br/>To the restaurant, I would say way to go!<br/>PS: This an update after a month of writing the above review. The restaurant was extremely unclean yesterday and they stopped giving fried chips and papad they used to earlier. I am disappointed now with the overall experience here.

Good food and cool ambience. Quality is maintained with the quantity. Taste is exotic and asian cuisine is upto satisfaction. We went for lunch and whatever we ordered were presented in a nice manner. Perfect for team casual outings, family amd friends.

The place tries to be a cinema themed restaurant, but it's not clear how. Other than some movie posters and memorabilia on the walls there is nothing else that fits the theme. For example the food and drinks are not named or based on movies or such like. However overall the decor is pleasent and chirpy.<br/><br/>Anyway, this a multicusine restaurant with a bit of each kind of cuisine, usually the more recognizable items of each.<br/><br/>Amongst the food we tried, the chicken burger was quite nice, it was nothing fancy but a basic burger made the good old way with all the ingredients that went into it being quite nice and just as they are supposed to be.<br/><br/>The Asian food was okay to good, but not really remarkable, we tried some tuna roles from Sushi section, chicken and water chestnut dimsums, tom kha soup, chicken pho noodle bowl, hakka noodles and stir fried chicken in basil sauce.<br/><br/>I would recommend the Pho noodle bowl as being delicately flavorful and loaded with different mushrooms and such.<br/><br/>The sushi can easily be given a miss<br/><br/>The rest of the food was okay without being memorable.<br/><br/>The service was very friendly attentive and prompt.<br/><br/>The food was served in almost no time after placing an order.<br/><br/>Overall a nice place for a casual dinner when you need to eat out because you don't have the home fires burning, but not really a place you would make it a point to go to.<br/><br/>

Been here for lunch buffet.. Very disappointed because I had been to many buffet places. Below average starters both in taste and variety. Every buffet places they give mutton and prawns as starters. Here even the chicken starters was pathetic... They gave kfc popcorn and dry chicken Curry as starter. And in veg only paneer was there. Now coming to main course, Only 3 or 4 dishes.. That too tasteless. Dessert also not so good. We had to eat because we were hungry.. And per head they charged INR 700...I recommend all to go to absolute barbecue, black pearl, Flechazo Or barbecue nation if u want to enjoy buffet

A matinee show is available in the long stretch busy marathalli road. I loved their paneer grill and most of the chicken grill. The sea food grills were really good. They were simple yet tasted good.<br/><br/>🍴Pasta➡️ I went with the white sauce penne pasta. They tasted pretty good.<br/><br/>🍴Mango cheese cake➡️ The presentation of the mango cheese cake was pretty good. They not only looked good put also tasted excellent.<br/><br/>🍴Tiramisu➡️Tiramisu was pretty good, loved the powder which was spread on the cake.<br/><br/>🍴Daiquiri➡️ It was a mixture of light rum, lime and syrup. The presentation and the taste were good. It was served on a long handle glass.<br/><br/>All in all matinee is a wonderful restaurant which have reasonable prices both in their food and drinks. Their cocktails cost you for less than 200. Their buffet pricing is also very reasonable. The ambience is quite refreshing and different. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at matinee. Decided to go here for dinner on Christmas Eve. I was expecting a lot of people, Christmas carols (you know because it's Christmas? 🎅) .. but when we reached it was quite shocking to see the place almost empty with barely a couple of tables taken. The place looks quite chic from the outside decor and the main door opens you to a large indoor seating area with couches and comfortable chairs.. which seems sufficient for a large crowd. We chose to sit in the outside area which is quite pretty of I'm being honest. There's a pool table outside too if anyone wants to chill and play a game or two with friends.<br/>The DJ though was plain sad. Instead of happy carols it was all cheesy Bollywood music.<br/>The service was quick and the staff was quite efficient. Full marks there.<br/>We had ordered Buffalo mozzarella cheese pizza, Alfredo pasta(penne) in white sauce, tiramisu and fresh lime soda.<br/>The pizza was out of the world!!!!<br/>The gooey cheesy pizza was a treat for the taste buds.<br/>However I can't say the same thing for the pasta.<br/>I've had the same pasta in other places and it just seemed supremely bland, undercooked. The garlic bread was so so stiff that it requires time to bite into it and then more time to chew it.<br/>The washrooms were squeaky clean. So full marks for that. ✌️<br/>I like the decor and the service of the place, just hope next time if I plan to visit the place it the food is as awesome as the pizza and not disappointing as the pasta. We were looking for a place nearby our office for a casual outing withe colleuges. I would say was really more than satisfied with ambience and food.<br/>Food was awesome taste wise.. we ordered few starter as we went in evening for have some drinks . Mushroom chilly was really fantastic . Drinks were also on offers ( 1 plus 1 ) . Hence , a great deal in terms of cost effectiveness.<br/>Ambience was also great. Indoor and outdoor. Music was also nice.few gaming activity were also there like pool and fusball. Had ordered for Thai red curry chicken, instead they sent veg thai red curry. Very disappointed! Their choice of menu and taste of food are really good. But this one mistake might hold me from ordering again from this restaurant.

Bad - introduced grill and became utter waste ... grilled food will keep smoke out ... 45 mins to serve and cleaning the table ... all burnt veg and non veg on the grill... the best food I had here is Ice cream and the best beverage is water ....

I have visited this place a couple of times.<br/>Have had a la carte as well as buffet here.<br/>A la carte food that we ordered was good. Pizzas were thin and crispy, the way I like them.<br/>Buffet was very average. They try to put together a lot of cuisines like Italian, Lebanese, Indian, Chinese all together, which is a good thing if the food served is good to taste. The food tastes fairly average.<br/>The prawns that were served to us were not washed properly I guess, they smelled bad.<br/>Would like to compliment the hummus though. Out of all the things I ate, I guess that's what I loved the most.<br/>It an okay value for money on the days when the food served is good to taste.<br/>I rest my case

Went on a Sunday morning. The first thing you will notice is its ambience with all movie one liners and iconic stars poster up in the walls.<br/>Food was not that great as we found the barbecue grill not that properly cooked even after keeping it for more than half an hour.
