Review Mangalore Pearl - Bengaluru

Judas Mascarenhas
Mangalore Pearl.....the name suits it well. Fresh tasty fish....worth more than Pearls. Sit, Relax and enjoy..... The place is very cool. It's on the 2nd floor. There is a staircase to climb up and than you can take the lift to the 2nd floor. The ambience is very good. Very clean place. The washrooms are very clean. The attendants were very cooperative and helpful. We being Goans, we just loved all the preparations. The fish, prawns and crabs were very fresh and tasty. We ordered pork Chilly. The masala was just yummy not too spicy. We enjoyed it with sannas. Must try. Later we tried chicken cutlets. They were nice and crispy and tasty too. We ordered kingfish rawa fry. It was nice and juicy, the masala was just nice and fried very well. We also ordered Pomfret (full) tava fry .....mouth watering.... We ordered red rice (boiled rice ...in Goa). It was nice and well cooked not very hard or soft. The crab curry was very tasty too. There were about 6 pieces of crabs. The crabs were full of flesh. The prawns and rice dumpings were yummy too. Only we were so full that we could not finish the rice dumpings. Later we had bread pudding and caramel pudding. We really had a very good time and enjoyed the food. Five of us. The bill was only Rs 2500/- @ Rs.500/- per head. Only the fresh lime soda and the kokum juice were a little too sweet. So next time you order tell them you want it less sweet. The owners are from Mangalore and the preparation was very authentic mangalorean style. Just loved it. If you want to have fresh fish, please do visit this restaurant. The best part is they have a different menu every day. Mondays they are closed. There is a valet parking service. But if you want you can drive behind this restaurant building and park on the road side The service is very quick too. Enjoy fresh fish in Bangalore on your holidays at a very reasonable price too and friendly atmosphere.

Visited Mangalore pearl restaurant with family of 5 yesterday for lunch at 12.45 pm for the first time. Recommended by daughter and family. Indeed a gastronomic delight. Mr. Martin the person who took our order was very cordial and nice. The waiters who served our dishes were well mannered and service Had a variety of dishes. Started with lemon soda for 3 of us and soft drinks for other 2. Starters fish fillet we had 2 types Rava and Tawa both excellent, chicken ghee roast, pork pepper fry, then we had sannas, neer dosa, white rice and red rice along with prawn curry and chicken kori curry. Each dish was fantastic. For dessert we ordered Ragi manni very tasty. The serving portions were good too. We took one of each plus only sannas and neer dosa 3 plates. We enjoyed the food so much we packed prawn sukka, fish fillet curry and pork green curry for our dinner at home. The price is so reasonable it will amaze you. Our total bill for such a varied and extraordinary lunch was at Rs 630 per head. A must visit when in bangalore. Plan to visit again with friends and family. Dr. Narayan Pratap bangalore.

They all tasted one better than the other and when the price is pocket friendly and the service smile conscious.. Tye Experience will obviously be good. The lassi to desert meal that we had left ua wanting more.. We will recommend this place strongly and dont miss their succulent prawns.. Sad they were not serving their a Set meals on the day we visited.. Guess that needs another day to talk about

It is a very good place to have seafood. The staff were friendly and patient. Due to the place being packed, we had to remind them of our food, but it wasn't too bad. The food was awesome, though for some food, the quantity may seem less for some items (though the price was less and we were ravenous, so we quickly finished everything). Would recommend this place for any seafood lover.

This is simply the best restaurant for food of this kind. Service is quick and quality is high. My favorites are the bombil rava fry and seafood ghee roast with neer dosa. The pork is also great with sannas.

Amazing mangalorean food. Especially the seafood. It was chef's kiss. We had squid and crab ghee roast. Both were beautifully done. The crab was so soft and juicy. The pork pepper fry was also super tasty! For me the highlight was seer thawa fry and pomfret tawa fry. Both the fishes were so so fresh! Didn't enjoy the prawn biryani that much, a bit dry in my opinion. As for dessert, I loved the bread pudding. Neer dosa was also amazing as a side to the all the dishes mentioned above. It was super soft and light. Besides we also had cocuum juice and solkhadi. I found solkhadi to be a bit gravy-like but loved the cocuum juice. Besides the whole place was super affordable! Mangalore pearl will be a goto place for good tasty seafood for the soul.

This place has been one of our absolute fav when it comes to seafood. ESP the manglorean style food. They offer you typical chicken ghee roast, neer dosa which is one of its kind! ❤️ They do have good veg starter options like Brinjal fry(must try if you are tired or regular paneer, mushroom stuff) Gobi manchurian etc. Prawn ghee roast, Sol-kadi, omelet curry and caramel custard are another do not miss dishes on their menu. There is no parking available as the place is right on the main road but you can park the vehicle in the lane behind the restaurant.

Great seafood options at reasonable price! Loved the ambience🩵 Service is something that needs to be worked upon. Waiters were immediately taking off the plate the minute it looked empty. Some of them wouldn't even ask if they could clear the plates. Bangda Fish Curry - 4/5⭐️ Pomfret tava fry - 4/5⭐️ Chicken lollipop- 5/5⭐️ Bombil rava fry - 4/5⭐️

Food was good but even their spiciest curry felt a little bland for my fiery tastebuds. Good service and ambience.

The BEST seafood! And sooo cheap! We pigged on everything - ordered like mad people - the sukka and ghee roasts specially are to die for. And the sol kadi too. And after the food, when our groaning tummies were making us repent, the caramel custard was a must eat!! Yum yum yum ! (Don’t expect super ambience - just excellent food, delivered v quickly)!

I’ve been going to Mangalorea Pearl for years now and their quality of food has been the same! Feels and tastes like home food, always! Their brinjal fry, prawns and chicken ghee roast, fish fry and kori rotti and gasi are to die for. I tried a sweet called Ragi Manni here for the first time, years ago!
Sai Vishnu
The food here is amazing . Its worth every rupee. Ambiance is nice too. Located near Ulsoor lake and in the same building as watsons. The only disadvantage is that they don't serve alcohol

Drove across town when I heard about this place. 2nd floor, lift available. Nice spacious n airy seating area. Staff is friendly. The plates are of a poor quality n light plastic. Could be better.
Chose the following for lunch...
Solkadi...don't miss. Very good, right spice.
Pomfret fry...good. Masala on it, okok.
Mutton ghee roast...a let down. Boiled mutton put in a masala but no taste, there was ghee though in it.
Chapatis...2 per plate. Ok.
Omelette.. eggs can't go wrong. Ok.
Sannas...very good, steaming hot. Soft. Well fermented.
In today's day n age, they gave us onion n lime. Tks.
They also gave a spiced curry for free as a side.
Didn't order any dessert.
Fingerbowl is given on the table.
1200 approx.
Food quality could be better.

One of the best seafood joints I've been to in Bangalore and definitely worth every penny, you guys have to hit this place up when you have those seafood cravings rumbling in your belly.

I'm so glad we dropped in for a meal! If you miss home cooking then you'll get it right here. The decor is welcoming and sets you at ease and soon as you step in. The wall murals are fun and the seating comfortable. The service is attentive and quick. The food is hot and delicious and the fish is Uber fresh. It's been such a lovely experience dining here that it does warrant future visits.

My go to place for comfort food. A must visit for anybody with a pallet for home made sea food delicacies
Neeti Rajagopalan
Had the Crab Lollipops or Crab Fry 🦀 as its called on their menu, Squid masala fry, neer dosa, prawn ghee roast, chicken lolipop and mutton in coconut gravy. Serving homely and heavenly food since 2004...this is a cosy, non pretentious little place, all about Mangalorean cuisine...basically - sea food 🥘. One of my fav drinks🥤here is their sol kadhi. The crab meat was deeply fried, had a crisp coat with fresh sweet meat. Squid was fresh but taste was avg, neer dosa...soft and fluffy and mutton curry scrumptious. The prawn ghee roast was just about okay. In a primarily sea food place the chicken lollipops were pretty damn good as well ! And the price💰? Totally worth it ! What more can one ask for??? 🥳

Hands down the best seafood restaurant in town. Look no further for fresh seafood. The solkadi is a must try. Never disappoints.
TRIBHAV MAHADESHWAR
This is the best place for seafood in Bangalore.I don't remember the number of times I visited this place, over these years. The sumptuous food and a very friendly staff will pull you back to this place. There is a range of curries to choose from along with variety of fish. Make sure yo visit this place if you like authentic manglorean/Goan cuisine. Also don't forget the famous caramel custard to give a sweet treat to your taste buds.

Manglorean Pearl is a family friendly restaurant with great food and courteous staff. I’m a regular there now!
FoodOnly
The owner is a very sweet gentleman who takes personal care of all his guests. All servers are very polite and attentive.
First off, the sol kadhi beverage was really tasty. I ordered the brinjal bhaja and fish fingers from their specials menu and they were both really tasty! The sannas went really well with the prawn ghee roast. This ghee roast was one of the best I've ever had. The chicken kori roti was a great discovery and makes me want to try more of Mangalorean food gems :) I wish to try more seafood when I'm around next time.
Saswata Pal
Brilliantly themed restaurant, beautiful paintings on the walls. Will be a whiff of 90s or even beyond, Food is authentically Mangalorean. Food : 3.5/5, Ambience : 4.5/5, Service : 4/5. Visit this place for the ambience if not anything else.
Ruchi Kakodkar
Amazing fish curry and fresh sea food. Pocket friendly place with good service. Must visit place for sea food lovers. Try rava fry fish as well as famous caramel pudding.

We chanced upon this restaurant as we were scouting for a place to eat. Oh was the food tasty - we had neer dosas and pork vindaloo and sannas... And ended our meal with ragi manni and rice manni ...and what amazing value for money !! The service was great too and the ambience lovely... In all a great experience...!

This place is perfect, they have amazing food and what brilliant pricing. The food is finger licking delicious and the prices don't kill you. Also bonus point they are environmentally conscious, loved the fact that our packed food was given in bags which weren't plastic and could be reused, the manager told us we could actually melt the bag and it's drinkable #BLOWNAWAY

This is a nice place for lunch. Peaceful and homely decor. Service is good. Food quantity and taste both satisfying. I would recommend this place for trying out coastal cuisine. Worth the money!

Mangalore Pearl has become my favorite comfort food restaurant in Bangalore. They make fantastic rava fries (squid and Kane both rock), curries (raw mango prawn curry is mmm) and ghee roasts (crab or squid). Get the wetter things with multiple plates of neer dosa and Kokum juice. There is not much for the veggies, but the assorted veggie fries are very good. My favorites are egg plant, bread fruit and the spinach stuff mixed with some batter. I like their dal too, but most will find it watery.
If you are looking for a sea food place, look no further, and make sure to visit multiple times.
Prarthana Dash
On the money! Impeccable food, smart service, nice clean ambience, no extra jazz..loved it
Will come back. The sannas were like clouds..the curry omg so addicting..it was the ambot theek curry..sour and spicy and irresistible and the bread pudding..I have had scrambled puddings at some of the fanciest places in blore but this was so beautiful..silky smooth, not eggy at all.. beautiful aroma of vanilla!
Roopa Rao
We ordered Prawns Rava Fry, Prawns Curry and Red rice, Silver fish Fry and Crab Ghee Roast. All the dishes were well prepared and tasty. The staff is polite and service is prompt. Definitely worth visiting again and again!!

Amazung food, specially the prawn curry. Neer Dosa is the best and a must try. Located in the middle of the city, Mangalorean Pearl is a feel of fresh air. If you are a seafood lover, this place has your back. Shown in the picture: Neer Dosa, Prawn Curry, Solkadi, Rice, Pepper Crab and Khubey Sukka
Gaku Shinoda

The best Mangalore cuisine restaurant in the city!
This is the second branch, near Ulsoor lake.
For starters, go for the Brinjal and cauliflower fry! It is bland, but extremely tasty with the spicy sauce. The quantity is also quite a lot!
Also tried the Pomfret fry, and Anjal fry! Both had the perfect masala to it! But Pomfret is a lot more filling! Do sprinkle lime for the added taste!
For main course, go for neer dosa/sannas with the Chicken ghee roast or Chicken curry! Both are spicy and goes really well together!
Along with the meal, Solkadi is a must! A bit spicy and sour, made with kokum, it digests your food!
End this with Rice/ragi manni! Made with jaggery, this isn't very heavy and a perfect dessert to end your meal!
The ambience is extremely wonderful, with the cartoons depicting people of Mangalore!
The service is fast and efficient and although orders take time, it is worth the wait!

Excellent destination to satisfy your taste buds. Ambiance is very lively coupled with helpful and fast service. Had Chicken ghee roast, Fish Mangalore curry with raw mango, crab sukkha with neer dosa. Awesome food in terms of quality and quantity both. Surely recommended.

We went out for a saturday lunch to Mangalore Pearl Ulsoor outlet. The place serves west coast style food. If you are a large group, please expect waiting. We were four and hence we got in pretty easily. The ambience is very normal. We ordered Neer dose, Prawn pepper fry, Fish curry with raw mango, Bangda fry, Chicken ghee roast, patrode fry, red rice, custard pudding, rice manni, kokum sherbet and solkadhi.
Each food item was too good. The masala of chicken ghee roast was tasty, the bangda fried to perfection, Neer dose soft. Solkadhi was a treat to have. The sweets didnot impress me much, but this is a place you should go for the gorgeous main course spread. They have daily specials and please remember to try them.
Place accepts cash and card, we did not have any seating qualms.

The trip to Halasuru from HSR to eat at Mangalore Pearl was totally worth it as this place delighted with its fantastic selection of Mangalorean food. Started off with the Squid sukka which was cooked to perfection. Went on to have Prawn ghee roast and Pork Chilly with Neer Dosa and Sannas. The neer dosa was so good that the two of us polished off 4 plates easily. The Prawns ghee roast is a must order. The pork chilly was good but the bar was set too high by the seafood that came before it. The solkadi is excellent and is a must have. All in all, it was a 5 star experience! Will be going again soon to sample the pundi and fish preperations.

Very good seafood. The service offered was very polite. Bj was amazing with the service and serving.would love to visit this place again. Pure mangalorean taste

This place is a delight for the west coast people of India. Rava and masala friend fish, coconut based curries and variety of rice, all this and more is what you can relish on at this small restaurant. Being Goans working in Bangalore I can always put my bet of this place for quality seafood which is also easy on your pocket compared to most other places. The seating is nice and staff are polite. There is nothing for me to complain about except for a fact that the don't serve beer :)

Mangalore Pearl..when you listen to this name what is the first thing that comes to your mind ?
Well for me it is this awesome mangalorean cuisine, great hospitality and value for money.
I have been to this place twice, and never have been disappointed.
Recommendations(our fav) Prawn Sukkha, Surmayee tawa fry, pompret fry , sol kadi.
Karthik Vempa
New and improved version of the actual Mangalore pearl in Frazer town. Little fancier than the first one. However, didn't find much difference in pricing, still economical. Decent food. May be for people who have that zest for seafood especially Mangalore style.

The food here is just amazing. A must visit place for seafood lovers and it is easy on the pocket at the same time. We tried neer dosa, fish and clams here and all of them were really tasty. Highly recommended.
Arun Padmanabhan
Good seafood. Looks a bit unappeasing but tastes amazing. Try the solkand especially its great. The ambience is pretty simple and nice. The clams were the best out of the squid, crab, clams and the fish that I ordered.
Awesome mangalorian cuisine. One of the best sea food restaurants in bangalore.
We tried neer dosa, seer fish, bangda curry. The staffs are also very courteous.
Will visit this place again soon

Decor ok
Smell all around. Chicken lollipop is too much oily. Served without onion rings.only one sauce variety. Fish finger was very small.
Best part is curry in main course. Different varieties are there,, where you can order fish oncurry depends on your choice.
Prawn biryani was awesome. It's signature dish
You must have. It's have ALL together different spices
Close to ulsoor lake. The restaurant specialises in coastal sea food. One of the best sea food delicacies in Bangalore. The food is tasty and the the price is reasonable. Fish fry and fish curry are very good.
Vaishak Gatty
This is their second outlet. If you're from the coast and crave sea food this is one of the places to be. The dishes are very nicely prepared and are authentic konkan. The fish is usually fresh. A plus point is for fish curries, they offer different kind of base on your preference. It's located right below Watson's to grab dinner after a few beers. This place is highly recommended for all sea food lovers!

Mangalore Pearl is simply the king of Mangalorean cuisine in Bangalore. There is no restaurant in the city that can even come close to their combination of quality, taste and price!
We regularly visit here and not even once we've left this place disappointed. Every single time the food and service are spot on. I and my wife are big fans of their seafood delicacies like squid ghee roast, prawn fry, crab sukka and all kinds of fish. This is one of the very few restaurants in Bangalore that I can personally vouch for the taste and super reasonable prices.

Monday lunch at the favourite seafood place and a few dishes worthy of a mention - Pork Roast (succulent and generous slices of skin, fat and meat) + Prawns Rava Fry (dry fried and coated with semolina for that perfect outer crunch and juicy inside) + Khubey Sukkah (clams dry fried with spices and tons of grated coconut tossed in. heaven!) + Seer Fish (a dear friend introduced me to this perfect beer time snack and also because there’s less bones to tackle) + Sannas (fluffy rice cakes that taste a lot less ‘yeasty’ than idlis and pairs beautifully well with the Pork Roast)
Vignesh Waran
All Ghee roasts are signature dishes here. A must try for the first time visitors. Make sure you visit the hotel early on weekends as more ppl will be flooding in.

Mangalore Pearl's Ulsoor branch is a walk away from Ulsoor Lake. Walk in and the first thing you notice is how impeccable the area is. The artwork on the wall transports you instantly to Mangalore's bylanes and beaches, but the space itself still manages to look like a quaint but spacious cafe that's well lit and breezy.

The staff: Well informed, polite and always made sure we were attended to as soon as possible. The only caveat was that we were dining at an early hour and they had more time on their hands, and so I hope they can manage to extend their service the same way during rush hour.

The food: It was, to put it bluntly, well done. Having taken a friend to try Mangalore staples for the first time, we'd settled on Kori Rotti and some Pork Roast. The kori rotti is exactly how you'd expect it to be: Overflowing with gravy to pour onto the rotti, with just the right amount of chicken. The pork was a first for me, since I hadn't tried the Konkan side of kudla cuisine. It had a sharp, interesting flavor that only suggested wine was involved in the cooking, so no complaints there!

My friend also wanted to tackle some seafood, so we split a Banguda rava fry. The coating was a bit too dry and peeled off a bit too easily for my liking, but the meat was still perfectly cooked on the inside.

I almost forgot to mention the kicker of the entire meal: The humble solkadi. Another item that's more common in the Konkan region than Tulunaadu, this was probably the best Solkadi I'd ever drunk.

Any negative points? For the first time, I haven't any. I do feel pricing is a bit on the heavier side, and a few discounts every now and then for regular customers wouldn't hurt, because I assure you that Mangalore Pearl will turn you into one.

This restaurant is known for seafood.. Liked their prawn roast masala, kubbe sukke.. Chicken lollipop and chicken ghee roast were also good.. They have limited main course option.. Only biryani rice and prawns biryani were available.. Biryani was blant.. Korri roti was ok.. Kokkam juice was also good.. Rates were quiet reasonable.. Owner to was very friendly.. Would give a half a point more for their ambience and friendly environment

Have loved Mangalore Pearl since before they revamped their location on Coles Road in Frazer Town. Those days it was a modest place, yet with one if the best Mangalorean food in town.

I'm glad they've opened this branch in Assaye Road. Good location, fantastic food, and not extremely heavy on the pocket.

First of all, the beverages. Like every good Mangalorean restaurant, they serve good Kokkum juice. But the best beverage here is the Solkadi. Pairs perfectly with the oncoming barrage of great seafood.

The fish is fresh, they have a helpful guide to what the various curries are. The Ambot Theek is my personal favourite. Classic Bangada fish works best IMO. The prawns sukka is beyond awesome. The prawns cooked just right and the spices with the grated coconut done perfectly. Enjoyed, of course, with either Neer Dosas or Sannas.

If you’re craving Mangalorean seafood, you should definitely visit this place! Everything we had here was perfect. Although the solkadi and caramel custard was a disappointment, the other food we ordered made up for it. The pork chilli fry was delicious.
Must try: the fish curry, prawn ghee roast, neer dosa, surmai fry
Near to commercial street, a perfect place for seafood cravings.. Neer dosa with prawn roast recommended. Very friendly service.

It's more for seafood dishes then a regular restaurant when compared to the menu items.

This place deserves 5 star rating.Ambience is simple with beautiful wall paintings.Food is deliciously lipsmacking. We went without any expectations and were pleasantly surprised with experience. We tried the crab soup here,it’s a must try if you visit this place. It tasted absolutely delicious. Also the fish fry (Kane/Lady Fish) was super fresh and tasty.Chicken lollipop tasted delicious. Finally we had super soft sannas and Mutton rice curry and it was pure bliss. The service here was super quick and it’s no exaggeration it was really quick .Very impressed with service here. The only thing disappointing was the staff here they hardly showed any enthusiasm and interest while taking the orders and were not so interactive.I think that could be improved.
Balasubramanian
Is it a perfect place? Probably no. But it's higher than 4. 5 stars just means I had a all-round positive experience here.

1. Compared to their crowded Frazer town shop this one is quieter, lots of tables to choose.

2 With wall paintings and tasteful decor the ambience sets stage for a relaxed dining experience. Some seats have sort of a view of the street.

3. Food was good as expected. I always believed that veg Biriyani sucks and it's the meat that gives Biriyani its flavour. The Biriyani rice (no meat) here is an exception with flavours packed in it. The king fish dry fry with its non spicy masala was good but there was a thick layer or masala coating. Not a big concern. With clams / mussels my key concern always is whether it's cleaned properly so we don't end up biting pieces of sand. None of that here. So felt clean and felt peace of mind afterwards.

4. Service was good. The waiter knew about the dishes, even gave samples when I was confused between 2 drinks. Food was prepared reasonably quick. Prompt service over-all, but then the place wasn't crowded.

5. Lastly the toilets and wash area were quite clean. May be because it's a brand new place.

6. Parking may be hard since it's on a main road

This is my favorite place for seafood in Bangalore. If you love seafood, you should definitely visit this small cosy eatery. Don't forget to try their Pomfret/Anjal Fry, Egg Ambot Teek, Neer dosa and solkadi. And oh, Caramel custard if you have a sweet tooth :)

An excellent place to have sea food. And yes, light on pocket too. Fresh food, courteous staff and amazingly tasty food. What more you want.

The Solkari, the clams, the prawns curry - all these with neer dosa and my mouth has started to be salivating right now.

Please visit if you love sea food.

Mangalore Pearl is the ultimate destination for seafood lovers. Their pork dishes are also finger licking good.

Few of the must-try dishes at Mangalore Pearl are:

1) Bombil Fry
2) Pork Green Curry (comes under specials, available on select days)
3) Chicken Ghee Roast
4) Pork Ribs
5) Crab Soup

Their signature sannas and neer dosas complement the curry dishes well.

Having said that, their desserts, Bread Pudding and Caramel Custard are a disappointment. There is definitely a huge scope for improvement in the dessert section.

Overall, if you are a seafood lover, Mangalore Pearl is a must-visit.
They say, when you think of fish, think of us.. The Perfect place as promised.. not only fish, any types of seafood you want with the mangalorean flavor, visit this place. Located at a not so crowded place, amibience is too decent. The staff is courteous to welcome and serve you with always a smile on face. The food is heavenly at a decent price. When you see the menu, you feel like having everything and anything you chose.. that would land you up to a happy tummy. Pocket friendly perfect seafood restaurant - you can call it . Go for it whenever your taste buds desire for some special seafood.

Must Try ~ Crab Ghee Roast, Prawns, Pork Rib fry, Brinjal Fry, Coccum Drink, any Fish Tawa Fry

The place is a little difficult to find, it's in a tiny nook on the side of the road. Cosy place serving homely food. Don't expect any fancy cuisine. Loved it. Maybe the service needs some work, that is my only suggestion.

A simple restaurant with awesome coastal cuisine. If you love seafood you have to visit this place. I was very happy to see the solkadi in their menu and had, 3 glass of it.. It's a must try. The Pomfret fry was good as well.

Hands-down the best seafood experience ever! Mangalore Pearl totally delivers on its descriptor - The Seafood Restaurant. With a vast variety of coastal cuisine options, types of fish - far more than any 5 star restaurant - this is a perfect place for families, friends, young and old. A clean and tidy setup, with a semblance of old Karnataka - Mangalore Pearl's menu caters to all seafood and coastal food lovers. Be it the spicy Fish Uruwal or Prawns Curry, the crispy kaane rawa fry or the absolutely yum chicken Sikka - all their dishes are totally binge-worthy. Even their caramel custard and bread pudding are simply delicious!

Not a big fan of seafood, but tired prawns fry, squid fry. I must say it was very delicious. Prawns and squid were properly cooked with right amount of spices and masala. My other friends also ordered crab masala which was yummy and delicious . Being a chicken lover had to order chicken item, so I ordered chicken lollypop and chicken ghee roast. Chicken lollypop was not up to the mark as it was fried more and more cornflour. Chicken ghee roast was yummy and spicy also. It nice place who love seafood ...they have 2 outlets in Bengaluru, very close to each other. Do try this seafood lovers.

This place is just awesome for Those who loves sea food. They have maintained the exact taste. Price is also very reasonable. Sitting area is also very nice. Washroom is as clean as 3,4 star hotels. Loved the place. Must visit for sea food.

A must visit place for fish lovers. Had been to their Frazer Town outlet sometime back. Was not very enthusiastic when we were told that tables were not available and we could visit this outlet at Ulsoor

Frankly the ambience is energising, with glass panes that give you a view to the outside greenery. Started off with their Solkadi, which was nothing short of awesome....what followed just took me to a different world of salvation ... From their awesome fish fry starters to their fish curry and rice (Pomfret, Bangda and Prawns in Ambotheek Curry)...and neer dosa, one is left just wanting for more. Finally ones stomach has its own restrictions and we had to call it a day...lots more to explore here, so HAVE TO GO BACK :)
Team Mangalore Pearl...You guys rock...

This is one of my must go and favourite restaurant in Bangalore for authentic coastal Konkani food. The interior of this place, showcase the typical lifestyle of Mangaloreans through cartoon character. This new outlets is also has same décor but much more specious and lively. It's airy and well lit.

We ordered for Bombay duck fry, sear fry, prawns such, red boiled rice and Sear fish curry. All the dishes were mouth-watering. All the dishes are same taste and texture as the old outlet. My quest for good seafood restaurant comes to an end at this place. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood or to anyone who really wants to have some amazing soul food.

To start with, had first tried this place when my bestie had come down. We all were in love with this place, drs a saying 'home is where the heart is', this place touched our hearts 💕 that we ended up coming.. Not once twice but over n over. Gonna definitely put up more pics next time, the only pic I put up is the one we packed up for parcel. mouth watering food gets over before we could even click one picture. The first time we ordered khubey sukka, prawn ghee roast, seer tawa fry!! 😍 Prawn ghee roast and seer tawa fry is a must try... 👌👌Authentic ambience, breezy in evenings and perfect for a relaxing meal. Place isn't crowded so there's a seat always apart from weekend afternoons. Hats off to the delicious sumptuous menu. Do try out the 'special menu of the day'. Food in terms of the quantity and quality is quite reasonable. All the best, I hope evryone does try this place out. All the mangys out there, desperate for home cooked food, this is as close as it can get so far... 😍

First restaurant we visited once we landed to satisfy our mangalorean food craving. Tried chicken ghee roast, pomfret masala fry, pork roast, pork baffat, sanas, neer dosa, silver fish curry, bangada curry. Masala fry was a major disappointment ☹️ They had deep fried the fish and placed in a weird masala with lots of onion. Was far from any masala fry I ever tasted. Being a mangalorean I am well versed with the local taste but this isn’t masala fry 🤭🤭 Pork baffat , sanas, neer dosa were good.

Homely and spacious Mangalorean restaurant. Must try the crab soup, the Kube Mootlin(rice dumplings in a coconut gravy with clams) and the Kori Rotti(coconut based chicken gravy served with crispy rice wafers). For dessert we ordered Ragi Manni which was a perfect end to our meal. Quick and prompt service.
Finger licking good food.

A very authentic place to cherish some Exclusive Mangalorean Cuisine at its best. I ordered Pomfret Tawa + Rava Fry with Chicken Ghee Roast, Seer Fish Stew Curry, Neer Dosa and a refreshing glass of Kokam Juice! Everything was delicious and as expected. Service was wonderful and very fast without any compromise. The place was clean, lovely and decorated well with caricatures of Mangalorean lifestyle. Will go here again, whenever i visit Bangalore! Kudos!

Mangalore Pearl is one of the best Coastal Karnataka food joint I have visited in Bangalore. Went with my family for lunch this Sunday and all the members were equally satisfied.

From the very beginning the place hit the chord and with the taste of the authentic coastal food especially sea food it was a complete delight to be here. Right from the ambience to the the quality as well as quantity everything was up to the mark.

I would recommend this place for all the sea food lovers to have a must visit place with family especially for lunch.

Mangalore Pearl is my favourite restaurant for authentic coastal konkan food.

Art and cartoons depicting typical everyday lives of the Mangaloreans adorn the walls and pillars of the restaurant.

Mangalore Pearl (Frazer Town) has always been my go-to for comfort food. We decided to check out the newer outlet in Ulsoor.
It's much more spacious and vibrant.

As always, we start with Breadfruit Fry.
It's a dish indigenous to the coast and is super crisp and delicious.
Then, of course. Prawns Ghee Roast. 💙
Nothing compares to this dish.
Best accompanied with Neer Dosa or Appam.
Prawns Masala is also yummy, but it is a little more curry type.

Other dishes you have to try-
Pork Bafat, Pork Vindaloo, Anjal fry, Kane dishes, Butter garlic Squid Rings, and their Fish Thali.

For a change, we had dessert.
Bread Pudding.
😍
Was definitely a hit.

I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood or to anyone who really wants to have some amazing soul food.
The decor and the way the place was lit up was very pretty, very mangalorean. So we had ordered rice, the pork roast and the pepper prawns. The pork was delicious but however the prawn wasn’t that great as we were expecting, the reason being maybe it wasn’t very fresh. The quantity was also quite less but nevertheless it was an okayish experience.

If you really need to go to a place which is free from the hustle bustle of the city, this one's for you. The place is so calm and not too crowded. We ordered all that we could find on the menu. Cocoom juice was sweet and tasty. Solkadi was more like a chutney. Pomfret, prawns, seer all were really mouth watering. Best of all was chicken ghee roast. For dessert, we had Caramel pudding and bread Caramel pudding. Seafood lovers should definitely visit this place once

Tried Prawns Biryani today. The Prawns were fresh. The Biryani was very tasty with very less oil. Quantity was enough to fill in your tummy. Earlier had Bombil rava fry which is also good, fish fried nicely.
Decent decor and helpful staff.

I find myself at Mangalore Pearl every couple of weeks. Their food never disappoints. From the pork vindaloo to the various fish curries - I can never get enough. I would say some of their best dishes are their ambot theek curry (Be it pomfret, prawns or seer fish), the pork vindaloo & pork sorpatel, squid fry and rava fried Bombay duck with sanas or neer dosas on the side. On weekends they usually have this dish called Khubbey Mootlein which has clams - A must try. To wash it all down, I would suggest a glass of Solkadi if you'd like something spicy, or a class of kokum juice if you'd like something sweet.

I love their food so much that I have frozen some of their dishes and flown it to Pune for people who are fans of Mangalorean food!

The service here is great. Everyone is very warm and friendly, and the food is always fresh and a treat to your taste buds.

The food is as great as ever, they need to check on the AC as the stench assails you soon as you enter. Will check before entering again. Prakash Shetty has delivered some great art.

This place was recommended as a sea food specialty restaurant and we were not disappointed at all.

Being sea food lovers, we went on a binge with prawn pepper fry; sear fish tawa fry; Kane dry fry and (saving the best for the last!!!) Bombay Duck fry!!

For a Mumbaikar like me, Bombay Duck was the highlight of the afternoon!!! The other dishes were v good as well. If I had to critique, the sear fish could’ve done with a bit more salt.

Oh and how can I forget, the absolutely delicious Solkadi. Had 3 glasses... could’ve had more!!
