Review Zingron Restaurant - Bengaluru

gigme lepcha
One of the best northeast restaurants in Bangalore. They provide authentic Naga food along with other dishes.

The food was really good! However there could a bit more flavouring to it. The pork and beef dishes were amazing. But, most of the pork meat was fat so couldn't fully enjoy it. Besides that, the service was briliant and would highly recommend.

I'd heard a lot about this place so decided to check it out today. First time trying naga cuisine and it has this addictive property tbh. Everything was great. We had their smoked pork platter and their beef chutney. The spice level is pretty high on all items but it's a different kind of spicy, we couldn't stop eating. Definitely recommend checking this place out! Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Value for money: 4/5

Rewriting my review after a year and a half. The revamp looks good. Nice ambiance. Authentic food.

As expected, a wonderful visit experience. Food good. Good service, friend and good recommendation. Reasonable price. Made my birthday dinner with my family to the next level. Everyone satisfied. Keep up the good service

I had come here and filled myself with just starters. What's even funnier was that all the starters that were had ordered that day, were all pork. And i still haven't ordered many other pork options, from their menu. I bet everthing else must be equally good as the pork starters that we had, that day. Unfortunately, that day, they had ran out of beef. Also ran out of chathur (rice beer). So i guess, I'll have to come back again. Which i will. I'd recommend these guys to everyone.

Nice place if you are looking to taste Nagaland dishes.

If you are a pork lover, just drop in at here. This place won't disappoint you. Went there on New Year afternoon to keep the tradition of starting the year with pork, and this place thoroughly worshipped my stomach :p The owner is super friendly, and she makes you feel like home.

Great food, cozy seating, excellent Naga food. Though disclaimer - I went with my friend from Nagaland, and she ordered some strange chutney. So unless you know well about Naga food, understand how the chutnies may taste and may not suite your taste buds at all. Other than that they are excellent in terms of food quality and preparation. The beef chilli, the pork in bamboo shoot, the Kung Pao fried rice was awesome. Would love to be back there. They only reason they lost a star because the lift was not working, and he stairs were kind off dirty. So the building needs maintenance, but it's not there fault. Well hope you enjoy the food there as much as I did.

Really tasty Naga food. I specially loved the rice wine. Loved the pork items, they were all delicious. This is the place to go if you are craving some awesome Naga cherry and rice, or maybe pork in bamboo shoot, or the all time favorite, crispy fried pork. Omg, I'm salivating just writing this review. And just so you know this is not an upscale place, so if you want fine dining and a fancy place then don't go. For the the setup is not bad, I like the food, don't care much about the ambiance because I want looking for a Michelin star restaurant.

We went on a Saturday evening and the place was not crowded and so had a very pleasant time. The hostess was very friendly explaining the various dishes. Since were vegetarians, and there were not many veg options, she customized some of the dishes for us and the food was absolutely yummy. Thank you team. Keep it up. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and the board was not very visible. So look carefully. Google maps location is absolutely right.

Awesome delicious foods. Love the rice beer and Pork combo and fish combo over here 🍴🍽

Food was absolutely amazing... All the staff are so friendly Especially Chef Alo give the vibe of mummy's home made food... Coming back soon !!!

After hearing praises about this place, we have decided to go with two of the most highly recommended dishes from here, Zingron crispy pork and, beef delight. <br/>While the beef delight could have scored a perfect 4 star for the quality of succulent pieces of meat, we were disappointed to find out that it did not have the button mushrooms mentioned in the menu. <br/>On the other hand, Zingron crispy pork was disappointing. The pieces were a little overcooked, and became rubbery, the mixed veg accompanied with it turned out only cucumber sprinkled with chilli powder. <br/>Couldn’t give it more than three stars. Hope they will work out on the issues, so the next experience gets better for us.

Well firstly, Zomato should update that this place is not currently open for dine in. Anyways, we finally ordered from this place after a long craving. The beef delight was delightful in taste, won't deny. Had a fresh smell hitting us while opening the packaging. However, we did not find any button mushroom as described. Probably we were delivered some other dish. But not complaining much as it was really delicious. Also, the quantity was a lot. Crispy pork did not feel as much upto the mark as hoped. The quantity of this dish was a bit disappointing. Also, it's supposed to come with mixed vegetables. Did not expect only chilli sprinkled cucumber as mixed veg. There are many areas of improvement. However, might give another try just because of the amazing beef delight dish (or whichever was served).

Their dim sums and smoke chicken/ pork combo platter is a must try, food is a mere reflection of authentic Naga cuisine

I loved the place , very comfortable and peaceful. It is definitely a family place. You will get North eastern feels there !<br/>Tried chicken Hakka Noodles, the quantity was very good and taste was proper. I love their Chutney !<br/>

The lady in the restaurant very rude and does not know how to take a ordee

True rating - 4.5/5<br/><br/>My first taste of Naga food, and happened quite by chance (we were looking for biriyani, but the biriyani joint was closed). We went in a group of 5, which allowed us to taste a range of items. For starters, we took the Smoked Pork Ribs, Zingron Crispy Pork, and Grilled Chicken with Fresh Bamboo Shoot. Now all the items were quite tasty (except the crispy pork, which I felt to be a bit undercooked) and a bis on the spicier side. But considering that its Naga cuisine, I guess it would have been wrong to expect otherwise.<br/><br/>As for main course, we ordered Nasi Goreng Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Smoked Pork with Yam, and Smoked Chicken Breast. Similar to the starters, all the items were pretty tasty. My pick of the lot would be the smoked pork with yam, which went extremely well with plain rice. Who knew that yam could be so tasty! We also tried out their rice beer (called Chatur) - refreshing and not as bitter as ordinary beer.<br/><br/>Zingron is recommended if you like pork. Given the price per head we ended up paying, this place is quite the steal.

The ambience is so good<br/>The best Naga dishes are available here and it's a food heaven for us North Easterns in India<br/>Chatura(rice beer) is not always available so enquire first and then go if you want to try some<br/>The smoked pork thali is good but you might need some extra rice😊

I have been waiting for so long to visit this place and it didn't disappoint me,everything we had was delicious and mouth watering, zingron crispy pork was the best, they ran out of rice beer so we've got to try only one mug, will definitely be back to try out for more

Zingron’s Smoked Pork combo is magnificent. It comes with rice, veggies, Eromba, pork curry & dried pork. I loved the dried pork, but the curry is also very good. And the unassuming eromba was surprisingly delicious. One of my family members tried & liked the Hongkong fried rice as well. However, be warned that the food from the North eastern section of the menu is very spicy, as per norm for North Eastern cuisine. PS: The place can be hard to find for newcomers since it’s on the second floor of a building.
Dr. Eying
The quantity of rice they serve is EXTREMELY LESS and always had to go for an extra bowl no doubt the rest of items are very yummy.<br/>And I suggest the waitresses needs to be train atleast some basic manners on how to be polite and friendly behaviour to customers.
Bismita Deori
This place offers the best pork dishes. Love the authenticity of this place. I ordered a pork combo meal today and it was really fulfilling.

Meats were undercooked. Staff behaved as if we came for free food there.. it was a waste of money.. bad experience
Ganeshbhat03
Did not have a great dinning experience at this place. Having heard good reviews of this place we were excited to go there. As soon as we entered, we were waiting for someone to show us to the table, but the staff only awkwardly stared at us until we decided to select a table ourselves... The flavours in the food were ok, but felt most of the meats were undercooked... Being new to naga cuisine we expected help from the staff to know the details of the different choices, but all we got were one word pointed answers to specific questions we asked. Overall experience could have been better.
Msum Tarh
As a economic wise it’s too high apart from that everything is good n food is delicious but quantity are very less yes would love to visit again if I see only the food but not every time cause of the food price
Homoloy Turung
Awesome and Healthy food. Best place to take your friends to a Northeast food tour if you can’t afford an actual Northeast tour. The Rice Beer and the Eromba were my favourite.

Best Naga food in Kormangala.. A must visit . My first preference always whenever I crave for Naga food. Price is reasonable and the staff are friendly.

Craving for authentic Naga cuisine? Head over to the quaint little Zingron Restaurant in Koramangala, 7th Block for some delicious spread from the North eastern frontier. This place is heaven for pork lovers. We tried the SMOKED PORK PLATTER, PORK COMBO MEAL, BEEF CHUNTEY, GRILLED CHICKEN WIFH BAMBOO SHOOT. Thankfully the food didn't have that strong overpowering bamboo shoot smell unlike other places. The pork platter was comprised of Chilly Pork, Pork Ribs and Pork Gravy along with Eromba and Rice. Each and every pork item was delicious to the core. Also, special mention to the vegetable mash- Eromba, extremely subtle in taste. The spice quotient of the pork dishes are of different level altogether, it's definitely not for the faint hearted. Be prepared to order repeats of fresh lime soda and finish off all the tissues in your table. But having said that, the taste is actually amazing. The BEEF chutney deserves special mention. Words aren't worthy enough to describe its sheer brilliance. Pricing is reasonable and service is amicable. Do give this place a try !<br/>

A nice little ambience, ordered smoked pork thali, even though it took time to come to the table,I would say that the wait was worth. Dry smoked pork was the best of the lot, little bit spicy as expected but what was most important was there were not too many masalas into it. The gravy dish was also good and the quantity was just perfect. The diah was served with green veggies and eromba which was also little spicy but without masalas. It was the spiciness of green chillies

True Naga cuisine in the heart of koramangala.<br/>I discovered this little place that's easy to miss one fine day while scrolling through the streets.<br/>I decided to go in and try the smoked pork which is prepared with sun dried bamboo shoot and garlic.<br/>They also have beef pickle which I bought for a takeaway.<br/>And I tried the rice with pork which is one of their best recipes!<br/>You can taste the bamboo fragrance in every dish and a quaint little eatery. Overall a different but good experience.<br/>Won't be liked by all taste buds though.

Very good food. For the ones who love NE India food, this is a must visit. Pork with bamboo shoot, just lovely. I am surely going again soon to Zingron.

This is the second time I visited this place. Go to place for spicy food lovers. The chicken chutney is amazing. The reason I give 4 star is service is very slow. Almost 30 mins wait time after you order the food.
Nick Yeps
I order smoked pork with axhoni and wow it was so good that i feel like my home made just love it ..#Zingron thank you for the food .. hoping to visit again soon
Anupama Prem
If you love spicy, smoky flavoured food this is the place to go. I cannot tell you how many times I've visited this place. Their beef chutney, smoked pork preparations are all amazing. True flavours of naga ! I've tried quite a few northeastern restaurants in that area and I think Zingron is the best ! I usually shed tears while eating their food and finish most of the tissues on the table, but it's totally worth it.

According to Zomato, this place is supposed to open at 11.30, but I can assure you that it doesn’t..I went here at sharp 11.30 and the restaurant actually opened at around 12.45 and I entered and ordered..the ambience was ok. I ordered a smoked pork Naga thali..the food tasted good and the quantity was also satisfying, but I can’t say the same about the hygiene because I saw a small cockroach right on my table and when I felt that it was dangerously close to my food, I mentioned it to the lady and she just swatted it away and she didn’t look shocked or anything..so I guess it’s a common thing there...
Kaihao Haokip
If you are looking to order thalis online . I suggest you don’t because this restaurant packaging is really bad (they give you with aluminium packages ,instead of a proper thali box ) . And the quantity of food is very low compared to other restaurants .
Noel.brinchi
food is very delicious.. my favourite is naga platter and beef anise.. ambience is good and peopl are polite.. higly recomended for all pork and beef lovers..

This is my second time here. I had visited this place years ago and ordered the pork Naga thaali along with the beef chutney. The taste and the flavours still linger. This time I ordered smoked chicken, rice, and beef chutney and was mind blown once again. The beef chutney is loaded with green chillies and hits you at the right spot. <br/>If you are someone who knows how to handle your spices this chutney is a must try. <br/>The place plays classic rock music and offers a swift service.

Whenever I miss food from Nagaland I visit this place. Very homely feel and tasty food. Must try is the smoke pork ribs with dry bamboo shoot. It's something I never miss ordering. The food is a bit overpriced but again some local food from Nagaland is worth spending. If you want to try some local cuisine from North East then do visit this place.

So, this is not the place where you come with noodles and Manchurian in mind. When you prepare yourself with an open mind to walk down the terrain of unknown flavors, to have an experience of the best possible way, pork is prepared in our country, you come here!<br/>I am not a connoisseur in Naga cuisine but I've had a fair share of Naga food experience from a colleague's tiffin at work.<br/><br/>We were waited by an extremely polite & sweet staff. She told us that Zingaron is a 9 year old establishment & source their special fermented/processed ingredients like yam, bamboo shoot etc from the particular regions in northeast, they are best known for!! They are very proud of what they are putting out for people to share and why shouldn't they...<br/><br/>We had smoked pork with bamboo shoot & anishe flavors. Mindblowingly delicious, finger licking good TBH. And next we went for the Naga pork thali (picture attached). Absolutely loved the pork ribs & chilli pork!<br/>Good rock music & homely smiles to go with the yum food! Definitely gotta go back for other fish delicacies & repeat pork fry wishes!!<br/>Thanks guys for the amazing meal! :)<br/>

The food was average, spicy was the only flavor. There wasn't any cold beverage in the sultry weather. There aren't any ceiling fans and the stand fans aren't enough. Some of the traditional popular food items were not even available

Loved the smoked pork combo, they served an amazing potato chutney along with it. The meal took me back to Nagaland, highly recommended this place.

Starting from the decor to people working are putting it ahead one step in the race of theme restaurant. If you want to taste pure tribal food of hills you have to be here. One of the best with its pure taste. Pork here is one of the best in town i must say. Pork ribs is a must try.

If you love pork and you love it spicy, this is the place to go. We had ordered smoked pork platter and rice beer. Their pork is so tender that it just melts in making you want more and more

Awesome remarkable taste of ethnic foods. Viewers you must come and try the taste of the it. The smoke pork with the axoni and anishi was mouth watering that the eroma was so attractive and my dear friend kept all the plates empty..... "<br/><br/>❤😘 you zingron"
Martin J.
Food was worthy of a 4 star rating and maybe more, but I was disappointed by the packing and presentation. Since the dishes already cost quite a bit it would mean a lot to add in a proper plating or packing system.

In love with smokey pork ribs and to get rice beer in Bangalore is something surprising. good service good food as well. You won't regret trying naga food there.

My friends introduced me to this place and i had no idea what naga cuisine would mean<br/>And i am so thankful to that friend of mine. Whenever i wanted to eat pork i would just go to this place and order my favourites. Quality of food is excellent. Food is awesome here specially smoked pork ribs , fresh pork with fresh bamboo shoot paired up with plain rice always proved delightful ❤️<br/>I am a big fan of spicy food , so to add spiciness in my food i ordered the famous naga king chilli chutney , which actually use to leave me teary eyed😂 but it was full of flavours 🤤<br/>Pairing this all with rice beer amazing 🤯<br/>The staff is soo polite and nice , perfect simple setting but a must try place . This place has all my heart 💓

If you’re having spice cravings, this is the place to go. The food is great. My recommendation would be the Roasted Pork Plater. It has the perfect combination of dry pork cooked in bamboo shoot, pork ribs, rice, boiled vegetables, boiled potato chutney and beef/ chicken chutney. Not to forget, rice beer too. It’s the perfect lunch!
Emmanuel (@bangalorefoodboy89)
2 stars mainly coz u will find many tiny cockroaches and I have a phobia. Tried the rice beer, Zingron crispy pork, chicken chilli, Chicken meal and a beef meal. <br/><br/>The rice beer was refreshing in the afternoon and 5 stars coz I hav no complains. The crispy pork was oil fried and when u bite/break a piece, you will see small drops of oil burst out which is bad! The taste was ok. The chicken chilli was very nice and that kinda helped me survive. <br/><br/>Now, to the meals, if u like boiled meat in masala ish water, u May like it, but it would be nicer if the beef pieces were smaller so it would make it easier to eat.
Sanjay Banai
Nice place to have some good food n Rice beer. I tried Fresh pork combo meal and rice 🍻 n it was just amazing..<br/><br/>I do wish to come here again to have the main Naga food ..!

Naga king chilli chutney was not satisfy Coz what they mention in the ingredients place mentioned dry beef but there no beef only.

If you're looking up for Naga cuisine in Bangalore do try Zingron. The food is really good. They also serve rice beer. Do try this place to know about the taste of authentic Naga cuisine.

Great Food - heard the place is known for its pork dishes but we tried duck, chicken and beef thalis which were really good. The rice beer was really amazing ! And the salad with fish powdered was really good!

Lots of northeast restaurant around in Bangalore but Zingron is one of the best so far, food is amazing here,i always visit here whenever I miss our traditional food and rice beer,Reasonable price plus good quantity.Love to visit again.

Service is really slow. Waited almost for 40 minutes to get the starters. The food quality wasn't good. My wife is Manipuri & she didn't like the food as well. Oaty & singju were not up to the mark. Pork fry was over fried & served in dark brown color (kinda burnt). Nasi goreng was the only food we liked. Overall I don't recommend this to manipuri people. Maybe naga cuisines are good so don't waana comment on that.
Ashok Ghose
Since I haven't had Naga food before my comments have nothing to do with authenticity.<br/>Had the Naga smoked pork platter which is served with rice beer - kind of sweet & sour and also with buttermilk overtones!<br/>The pork platter has rice, sauteed vegetables, potato mash & different kinds of pork.<br/>I found the pork curry nice but the dry pork was too tough and lacked flavor. Also a lot of pork fat that was equally tough. Obviously marinades are no big deal!<br/>The place is popular among youngsters from the north east so they must be doing stuff right but I don't think the smoked pork platter is the best introduction.
Prajay
Never have I given below 4 star review to any restaurants but this one will get below 1. Ordered pork combo meals, pork was over cooked. Basically burnt and the meat was rock solid. Only the pork curry was good out of 5-6 dishes I received. One of the dish was stinking! The worst experience ever ordering food from here!

Taste good but amount of rice is little bit less but if you want more there’s always another plate. When we had dinner there’s no electricity but we find our own way to have a dinner candle and i really love that they have rice beer which we is not available is most of the restaurant

My friend introduced me to this place, I had no idea that Naga food was so delicious. The place is nice and quiet, the food is simply amazing.

Tried their Naga thali, Spicy duck and rice beer.<br/>Spicy duck was good and thali was decent. Loved rice beer.<br/>A good resto to try authentic naga cuisine.

Chicken curry was good. But the Kimchi salad was not satisfied at all...it was not real kimchi. I'm disappointed with salad. However, smoked chicken curry was good.
Basudeb Bosu
Well this place stinks, not up to the mark at all!surprised with its 4+ ratings. Meat served is tad old and gave me & friends stomach issues! Staff don’t care much and to top it they didn’t have card swiping machines.. needed to run for cash after not so happy lunch!expensive for the quality, quantity in every sense! Food is filled with colours.. have had authentic north eastern food. It’s one of the healthiest.. this one was a disaster! I Would avoid & not recommend this at all costs

Good as expected.

Wonderful place. Menu has been updated since I last visited. Much better options. It's fine tuned for urban crowd. I will not compare but it's authentic in it's own way. Tasty ...yes! Pork rules Naga and most NE cuisines. Raja mircha is addictive if you get used to the extreme heat and sweat. I found it milder here maybe to accommodate all kinds of visiting taste buds and buddies. A bit more Bamboo shoot please. The staff has always been courteous and helpful. Chathur (rice beer) is excellent. My way to start is order Chathur and enjoy it with some spicy dry pork item. Smoked Pork Platter is recommended. Spicy chutneys are hot and yum specially Irumba. Well, the price is on the higher side and the portions of pork in all items are less. Food in India is diverse and flavorful all across and to justify being a real foodie is an adventure of a lifetime. I am lucky. I love foods of my country and Bengaluru is such foodie place.
Harman Singh
Ordered the smoked pork Naga platter. Seems like a good choice for one person, since you'll get to try a bunch of things from a (presumably) new cuisine, including a glass of rice beer.<br/><br/>Food is good. Beer isn't, but it grows on you. No, really. Arre I'm serious, just keep sipping. Stockholm Syndrome.

I had been to zingron a number of times and everytime, the food is awesome. If you are someone who loves trying out different varieties of nonveg cuisines, this is definitely the place. My favourite is smoke pork. 5 stars from me.

The staff here is very polite and always smiling. They service is something that they don't negotiate on. Quality of the food is excellent and the place has a comfortable seating arrangement.<br/>Must try - Rice Beer

I took 3 of my friends to have naga food but very disappointing the food quality and the taste wasn’t like a naga food. We ordered for Anishe chicken but it was only bones and the taste was not up to the mark <br/>
Akhil Dharmadhikari
Had pork meal and mix veg soup. The staff is attentive and modified the order as requested. All in all good food. Felt fresh. Can say that the taste was authentic. Thanks.

One of the best places to try out naga cuisine in Bangalore. The food is delicious. Their rice beer is a must try, gives you the taste of North East India.

Amazing food. The seating is very spacious. Staffs are super friendly. If you miss home..this is the place to be. The rice wine, the chilli duck, the smoked pork combo meal is out of the world.

This is a place for which i wouldn't mind giving 6* out of 5. Nice food, nice people serving you, awesome songs and comfy couches. The traditional Naga delicies add more charm to the dishes. Highly recommended!!

Went there by recommendation of my friend. Stuff was very friendly and polite. Really enjoyed their food, we ordered naga smoked pork, oty and smoked pork with axhomi. All dishes were delicious. Definitely will come back again!! Wish they do home delivery too))

Smoked pork is very spicy. I am just typing to finish 140 characters . I am Mizo and crazy but I know good and music. Naga food is spicy .<br/><br/>- Zodiki

Just my kind of food. Being a manipuri it’s really hard to get authentic north-eastern cuisine out here in Bangalore. This place is the best one for that.

This is my 2nd visit to Zingron, probably to satiate my pork craving. Incidentally, I ended up sticking to the Smoked pork platter in both occasion (considered best option during a solo venture).<br/><br/>Food: It has been a disappointing experience this time. May be the chef was in rough mood, and all items in the platter (barring boiled veggies) were very salty. I couldn't differentiate in taste between pork ribs, pork curry and smoked pork...barring salt and red chilly paste. However the quality of pork served were soft and fatty. Tiny portion of beef pickle served was salty and leathery (tasted more like dried fish). I strongly suggest the management to include items in the platter with distinct taste, complementing each other.<br/><br/>Service: The traditional rice wine (Chathura) was out of stock. Being part of the platter, I requested the manager to provide me with some cola instead. I was asked to pay for the Cola !<br/><br/>I have heard good reviews about its A-la-carte pork items, and my review is restricted to my experience tasting the platter only. Visit Zingron for experiencing Naga cuisine, but don't expect to get bowled over.
The Coffee Addict
The best thing about Bangalore for foodies is the variety it offers. Zingron, is one of them if you fancy Naga cuisine.<br/><br/>I have been here a few times and this is the first time after the erstwhile “The Naga Chef” rebranded itself as “Smoky Tribe” relocated below Zingron. Now that makes it two good choices!<br/><br/>I like the interiors of this restaurant. Cheerful, casual seating with tall and short tables. I like the short one especially facing the road. It was raining and it added some charm.<br/><br/>I have had soups before and they are all nice. This time ordered rice beer (Chathur), Axoni smoked pork curry, Zingron smoked pork and beef fried rice.<br/><br/>The rice beer was terrific. Served in thick clay cups/pots, they looked nice and the sweet and “wine” like taste was really good.<br/><br/>The fried rice was really good. One of the best I have had in a Naga restaurant ever!<br/><br/>The Axoni (Also called Akhuni, a fermented soya integral part of Naga cuisine) pork curry was nice. If you can bear the smell of it, you would love the taste. I really liked it.<br/><br/>The smoked pork was brilliant too. Tasted great and in fact we were wondering if we ordered a little too much of non veg.<br/><br/>I always found it intriguing why Naga cuisines doesn’t have anything specific in sweet. I figured out the same when I went to Ladakh (Nothing to do with Northeast).. They said the culture didn’t have any sweet of its own while others argued Ladhaki had a sweet toffee prepared of Yaks milk. I don’t know.. But it amazes me.<br/><br/>The service here is nice. They are cheerful and I get a feeling it’s a home run business.<br/><br/>At 980 bucks, it’s absolutely a value for money.

Very nice restaurant located at the heart of the buzzing Koramangala. They serve bags cuisine with a touch of modernness which is very impressive and the food is great. Especially the meat items. The only drawback was that they didn’t have any chilled drinks and ice.

If you're looking for serving your tastebuds some savouries from the North East of India, Zingron can help you. The food is yummy and resembles more of the taste of Manipuri cuisine than rest of the other north eastern states'. Prices are a little high because of the food authenticity. Place is quite relaxing.. however the service can be better.

One of the best restaurants in B'lore if you like spicy stuffs. Being a north eastern girl, this place is my go to whenever i want to eat good old North eastern food. Other NE restaurants aren't as good as this one.I wish you provide home delivery though. And please do let me know asap if you decide to do home delivery to my location!!<br/>

Will probably not visit again. Friendly advice: Don't overcook the pork and use less masala. It is barely north eastern, the whole appeal. or maybe my taste buds are not made for Naga cuisine. but I would like to try a fee other restaurants before I can comment on the same.

love the food here. having lived in manipur, i miss eating thoiding, singju and not to forget the bamboo with chicken curry. Now, i get all of this and more at zingron. The cucumber curry is to die for... the best place to dine at if u want authentic naga and manipuri food! the rice beer is yummy...

This was my first time trying Naga cuisine. I am a big fan of north eastern food and during my stay in Chennai,I used to haunt North East Kitchen, Egmore, on a regular basis. This is what led to believe that I am in for a real treat. But was sort of disappointed. I tried the rice beer and did not like it, but again that must be an acquired taste so don't take my word for it. It tastes like bad curd in water, sticky. The food is my biggest disappointment. I ordered pork fried for starters and the pork and chicken meals (shared between me and a friend). The pork fry was soaked in batter and overfried to crisp. you cannot identify any flavour. The meal is super spicy (not hot, but spicy). There is an overwhelming burst of masalas, heavily. As far as I know, we North Easterners, don't rely too much on masalas and it was uncomfortable eating the overfried pork in the gravy as well. It clearly felt like very less effort was taken to make the food, even though it took an hour for us to get the food. Nevertheless, I would like to give it another try soon in a few months time and hope you guys can change my mind then. North Eastern food, as far as I know, is full of greens and is easy on the stomach and mouth. And never deep fried. Correct me if I am wrong.

Gave a visit to this place to taste naga cuisine but got fisappointed from the very beginning with rice beer which i felt like was nothing but a glass of water...and then the pork intestine full of liver instead of intestine...nly the beef dish was better. all the best guys!!!!

Never been to Nagaland, but this restaurant gave me a beautiful flavour of its roots. Liked the North-eastern ambience, starting from the furniture, wall hangings, paintings, portraits to the utensils used to serve the Naga delicacies.<br/>Coming to the food, it was an altogether different experience. The bamboo shoot non-veg curry is a dish worth trying. And then there was a chutney “Eromba”, cooked with mashed potato, a hint of fish essence and the King Chilli (bhut jolokhia), so damn tasty, the right amount of spicy and sumptuously complemented the non-veg curry. The grilled non-veg dishes are again dishes to be tasted. It was a different experience altogether and I’m definitely visiting this place again whenever I crave some typical Naga food.

I loved the chilli pork and rice beer. must try. pork with bamboo shoots and the pork thali combo. those were average but if you like pork then it's the place to go. really good ambience, a little on higher end when it comes to price but worth a try.

I am trying not to be very critical, but the food here could be much better than it is.<br/>That aside, I really love the food here, because of a couple of reasons, a) it's authentic and b) it's not very common to find the dishes they serve commonly.<br/>I love the rice wine the make (it's similar to the "Jaad" nepali people have), it goes really with the spicy food. The Pork meal is really really awesome. But, portion sizes could be bigger for the price they charge. <br/>On only reason I've given it a 3.5 is because the price does not match the portion sizes. It's pricey.<br/>But on a whole... the food is really tasty.

You're in a mood to try north east cusines head to Zingron! Yes!!<br/>Located at kormangala opposite sweet chariot and the chocolate room on the 2nd floor. <br/><br/>Place looked very quiet and all I could hear is some good old school music from the 90's.<br/><br/>The ambience is good. Like the low seating option. <br/><br/>We ordered a chicken clear soup. <br/>Smoked chicken breast as starter.<br/>Lotha Ongo Han - fish dish with bamboo.<br/>Chicken fried rice <br/>Chutneys - chicken chutney, Beef chutney and Eronba fish chutney. <br/>The chathur - fermented rice drink.<br/><br/>Starter was vert tasty. <br/>Lotha Ongo Han was yum! <br/>Chicken fried rice was well cooked.<br/>The chutneys were awesome!
