Too many items that were absolutely lip smacking. Desserts were superb. One definitely needs to have a huge appetite to try all the dishes here. One of the best buffets I've ever been to in Bengaluru.

I was stunned by all the cooks preparing breakfast dishes in front of you. super clean, kind staff and even though I did not pay on my own, I would have, as they have a fair price/value (coming from Europe where you pay easily 2-4x the price for such a hotel).

Service was a bit slow. I had to call twice for getting water bottles, twice to get the dishes removed, wait for 25 mins to get my luggae from room to lobby and the spa receptionist gets smitten by foreigners and doesn't remember to offer Indians even a place to sit in the waiting area while she attends to foreigners.
The service staff in the lobby and room service were friendly and jolly. The food is excellent. Spa service is good. Good options in breakfast.
I wanted to have hotpot at Shang Palace but didn't have the time for it. It is reviewed as the best in Bangalore.

There is no button for room cleaning. If you forget to tell them, your room will be unmade even in the evening.
I asked for bath salts for the tub. I was assured that it was being sent, but even after asking thrice, there was no sign of it!

Visited the place for my Company's Annual event. Quite amused by the ambience of the place. Food is good, not much to talk about. the staffs were very friendly & kind.

The diverse range of restaurants offered a symphony of flavors, from authentic local cuisine to international delicacies prepared by skilled chefs. Each meal was a masterpiece, presented with care and creativity, making dining here an experience to remember.
Not really sure what the attitude at the restaurant is all about. Walking around with such an air of arrogance. Was supposed to check in, but the restaurant just made me not want to to that. Had a few cousins staying there and they had the same experience. The concierge is the real deal. That was the hospitality I was expecting in a place like Shangri-La. Your staff really need to be schooled on how to treat guests. Not sure who that manager was at the restaurant at the ground floor, but he really needs a change in attitude.
Definitely a five-star hotel. I felt relaxed and at home throughout my stay. The facilities were flawless, and the service was excellent. The staff were professional and evidently motivated. Special mention to the porter, Mr. Wilson, who was very attentive and maintained a friendly demeanor, which I greatly appreciated. A superb experience overall.

The decor of the hotel itself is exquisite, from the foyer to the restaurants to the spa and swimming pool!
We ate at the main buffet restaurant plus the Chinese and Japanese restaurants. All we're fantastic. If you are looking for a fine dining experience in Bangalore then the hotel has the best restaurants so you don't need to go anywhere! The breakfast buffet is also fantastic and includes Indian, oriental and continental cuisines as well as fresh fruits, bakery, juices and freshly made masala tea!
Can't recommend this hotel enough and I will definitely be returning in the future - a TRUE 5* experience!!
