Review Punjabi Nukkad - Bengaluru

Pooja Ramraika
The ambience was interesting, full Punjabi themed ,soothing lighting, table name was put on the city name even the size of table and size was large enough, it was not at all congested like in other restaurants. Good Punjabi song was played throughout the time. Waiting time was less. there is good parking space outside the restaurant and also street parking available. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant, and the menu was full Punjabi themed. We ordered chatpata chaap, masala papad (too spicy), dum aloo(spicy), naan, dal makhani, gulab jamun. The taste was good but a bit spicy. Please mention to keep less spicy while ordering. Service was okay. No Zomato Gold or magicpin applicable while payment but you get credit points on your mobile number which is good if you visit again I highly recommend this restaurant for any kind of occasion, rates were reasonable too. I will definitely visit again.

I love the vive of this veg place. I tried only soup and starter. Chinese starter is tasty. Paneer Kabab is not that good. Thank you for the dinner.

If you want to have Punjabi food this is the right place for that ..went with friends tried many things but I loved dal makhani and rice

We happened to visit this place for a casual Sunday evening dinner and had a satisfying experience. The place is reasonably spacious and has a bright ambience. We ordered a veg platter for starters. The platter has couple of pieces of several dishes including mushroom, paneer, cauliflower etc. It was a nice option and had good variety. Next we ordered a portion of Malai kofta, a portion of kadai paneer and some butter naan. The malai kofta tasted out of this world with a rich creamy texture and perfect balance of spices. The kadai paneer also was good while the butter naan was server fresh and hot. Service here is just about okay wherein we struggled a few times to get the attention of any of the waiters, but it was still manageable. The place is not too heavy on your wallet and you get to have some tasty food at rational prices.

This is a very well planned, Punjabi themed restaurant! They have amazing north Indian food, and the table places, or the whole atmosphere of the place gives you vibe of North India. Though the menu is not limited to typical North Indian dishes, I would highly recommend trying those out here. The food has authentic taste of the dishes, and the best part is that you can order the full or half quantity! Which means you can try out different half-dishes! The dishes are also moderately priced and perfect for the taste. The service is quick and the staff is really friendly. The place in general is not very crowded and might not require a reservation. Would definitely recommend to visit in the afternoon over a weekend!

Very good taste in reasonable price..difficult to get such combination in Bangalore....space is little less and in evening time in weekends you need to wait for 30 minutes to get table..

Good option for Punjabi food in HSR Layout. Nice ambience and good service.

Decent restaurant serving vegetarian dishes. Service is prompt. Taste wise it was good, more on the average side. Parking can be done on the opposite side of the road if empty.

Punjabi nukkad is a simple restaurant located in middle of HSR and Sarjapur. A tiny place, not at all fancy, serving amazing North Indian food. My hunt for few North Indian dishes definitely stops here. I had to meet few friends, so we decided to have a simple homemade food instead of going for a fancy or posh place. We landed here, the decor is simple, every table is given a name of cities from Punjab, quite unique isn't it. We loved the starters like Malai Mushroom, Baby corn manchurian, Stuffed Aloo barva and Punjabi Paneer Satay. Each and every starter was perfect, amazing taste and the quantity was just perfect. For main course, we had a quiet few things like Dal Makhani, Pindi Chole, Kaju Shahi Korma and Punjabi Kadi. Again every dish was outstanding but Dal Makhani reminded me of what I ate when I was In Punjab for trip. It stands out of all the dishes. Pindi Chole was another dish I have been craving for since I ate here. Typical Delhi style and I keep ordering it for Home Delivery (Thakd God Zomato delivers to my location). Now coming to my favourite part Desserts. We had everyones favourite Gulab Jamun, I must say the best one can have in Bangalore, so soft it almost melts in your mouth. And of course, how can I forget Lassi and Chass, a perfect drink to end your dinner, again typical Punjabi style and great in taste. Guys, if you really want to try some good North Indian meal I would strongly recommend Punjabi Nukkad and am sure you will not be disappointed. Follow my food journey on Zomato and Instagram @rk.snaps.

If you think what is their to eat in pure veg Punjabi restaurant then you are wrong. Punjabi Nukkad will serve you some mouthwatering Punjabi veg dishes. Small typical dhaba style restaurant in HSR. There is nothing in ambiance to enjoy but I would certainly say that you will love the feeling of dhaba food from the first bite itself. Identifed this place while searching for some good Punjabi food and ended up going there with couple of friends for lunch. We have ordered a lot of things ranging from starters, main course to a typical Punjabi sweet lassi. *****Starters***** Tandoori chaap was a bliss, it was perfectly cooked. You will feel the taste of tandoori smokey flavour once you have the first bite of it. Achari paneer tikka was made with perfectly mix of spices. Paneer was so soft that it just melted in my mouth. Loved the preparation of paneer tikka. Mushroom pepper dry was little different but don't judge it by its name. It was made so perfectly that it was crispy and at the same time juicy also. ***** Main course ***** Veg Kofta and Shahi paneer are the ones which I feel was superb. Gravy was perfect blend of spiciness and creamy which added to the flavour of this dish. Paneer was super soft which is the best part of shahi paneer. Mix veg and kadhai chaap was no less than other dishes. Mix veg was properly cooked and it will give you the taste of homemade food. Daal Makhni which I was eagerly waiting for but didn't pleased me much with the taste. Ordered Chur Chur naan, Missi roti and Ajwain tawa Paratha. All of them were worth ordering. While having your food don't forget to have sweet Punjabi lassi. I must say lassi should be the must ordered if you are visiting Punjabi restaurant. Lassi was so thick and perfectly prepared. If you have some space left in your stomach by the time you complete your meal then must try their kheer. Cooked properly with perfect combination of milk, dey fruits and sugar. Overall a perfect place for vegetarians but I must say non vegetarians should also try this. Must recommended if you are looking for tasting some homely food.

Went there with the office folks for lunch. Food was awesome. Got that north Indian taste I was craving for in Dal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer. Tawa roti, naam and kulchas were really good. Food was served piping hot. Service was courteous. Enjoyed the lunch and recommend to anybody looking for North Indian taste.

Punjabi Nukkad has really tasty food. I've had chole, dal makhani, etc with roti here. It's really good. Even jira alu is wonderful. The owners and helpers are really prompt and friendly. My only feedback to the restaurant, pls cut back on spiciness slightly and your dishes will get a 5 star from me.

It's a pure veg restaurant. For people who want to get the daba feel can visit this place. The ambiance isn't great though. But the food was really good. They serve authentic Punjabi food. ๐Ÿ‘‰ What to order: ๐Ÿ‘‰ Starters: ๐Ÿ’ Mushroom pepper dry ๐Ÿ’ Achari paneer tikka ๐Ÿ‘‰ Main course: ๐Ÿ’ Mix veg ๐Ÿ’ Shahi paneer ๐Ÿ’ Dal makhani ๐Ÿ’ Chur Chur naan ๐Ÿ’ Missi roti ๐Ÿ’ Khasta roti ๐Ÿ’ Ajwain roti ๐Ÿ’ Veg Biryani ๐Ÿ‘‰ Over all experience: This place serves the yummiest Punjabi food I have tasted. And also it's very cost efficient. Both the quality and quantity is worth the price. Service was great and quick. Ambiance: 3/5 Food; 5/5 Price: 4/5 Service: 4/5

The dhaba serves authentic North Indian dishes. It is ideal for a quick meal or delivery. I visited Punjabi Nukkad with a bunch of friends for a simple home-style meal on the recommendation of a friend who is a regular to Punjabi Nukkad. Tandoori Paneer is perfectly charred. Til malai paneer is the best I have had lately. It is soft and prepared well. We opted for Paneer Satay on the recommendation of the staff and liked the taste. The preparation of Dal Makhni is perfect. Flavourful Pindi Chole remind me of my favourite ones back in Delhi. I would definitely go back for more.

Cravings for desi veg Punjabi cuisine?? Does thinking about rich stuffed parathas with lots of butter make your water mouth?? If the answer is yes, this restaurant is a must visit for you. They serve delicious and finger licking Punjabi food. It is a small place with dhaba feel ambience and amazing Punjabi music earns them brownie points. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The service is a bit slow but it's worth it. Coming to food, In starters we had malai chaap , chatpata chaap ,paneer and mushroom tikka. It was the first time I tried chaap and totally loved it there. If you are spicy lover then go for chatpata or Achari chaap. Otherwise you will love malai chaap which was creamy and delectable. Paneer tikka was lip smacking and amazing. In main course , first I tried their famous aloo parathas with curd. I totally loved it. The parathas were evenly stuffed and very soft and delicious. We had palak corn ( absolutely delicious - a must try here ) , navaratan korma ( full of veggies cooked in cream - amazing taste ) , paneer butter masala ( average in taste ) with Chur Chur naan (naan stuffed with potatoes ) , ajwain paratha ( yummy and soft ). In desserts we had their famous shahi Tukda. Recommended for sweet lovers as it's more sweet then normal. Also one must try their sweet lassi , an absolute delight for you and your taste buds. The restaurant is reasonably priced and a place which can be visited regularly.

All about the beautiful dhaba-style goodness at #PunjabiNukkad ๐Ÿ’ฏ A few of my favorites in this selection! ๐Ÿ‘Œ From the great paneer from #Delhi which was so good, I've never tasted something like this before in the city.. ๐ŸŒ† To the malai Mushrooms, paneer garlic parantha, and desserts like kheer, gulab Jamun and gajar ka halwa.. This place is a total comfort lovers paradise. A place you can walk into every alternate day in your PJs for lunch/dinner and go back home for a brilliant nap! ๐Ÿ˜ด

If you are craving for some authentic Punjab I food then must go for punjabi nukkad pure veg restaurant. Basically it's a pure veg restaurant. Recently ordered kadhai chaap , kadhai paneer , veg pulao , tawa paratha & our one and only lassi from Punjabi nukkad . One thing I can say one of the best lassi I have ever had..soo good lassi.Loved it totally. Paratha was soo good and soft ..you can eat that paratha , without any curry..kadai panner was really yummy , spicy and tangy. Paneer was fresh and soo soft . Kadai chaap was good though. Very thick gravy and chaap were perfectly made and cooked. Little bit disappointed with pulao as rice was too hard and not cooked properly. But aroma was super satisfying. Must try from Punjabi nukkad guyz..You will definitely like it as there is soo much options to eat.

Bangalore peeps, there's a new authentic pure veg punjabi cuisine restaurant in town which offers dhaba like food, you will keep drooling.

Coming to the packaging it was neatly packed and all the hygiene conditions were taken care of.

It was delivered bang on time, and we could enjoy the food piping hot.

I received Tandoori paneer tikka masala combo for dinner today and I couldn't be more satisfied.

The Lachcha paratha was made in pure ghee and was very fresh. The soya chaaps were tender and had well balanced spices. The star of the combo was paneer tikka masala. The gravy was made rich with soft paneer pieces. And not to forget, boondi ka raita just made my day. Gajar ka achaar was major nostalgia because it reminded me of home.

It's a very pocket friendly restaurant to order from Zomato or swiggy. Guys, do check out this restaurant and you will never regret.

#punjabinukkad #punjabifood #foodporn #tandooripaneertikkamasalacombo #foodphotography #foodiesforlife #bangalorefoodies #fbab #foodiesforlife #bangalorefoodbloggers #engagingsoul

I have ordered a home delivery of honey chilli potatoes a couple of times now from here, they are quite tasty. And yes, they have my favourite sesame seeds. I had once also ordered gobhi manchurian which wasn't that great. But honey chilli potatoes are at my repeat order list.

Iโ€™ve started liking their food but then they disappointed me with uncooked starter (attached picture)

Had ordered thinking maybe I might get some authentic taste in dal makhni but nope. It similar to other joints crappy taste. I had to put in my tadka to make it a little better. Not good for dal makhni. The search for the same is still on. Paneer butter masala was too oily. chaamp tikka masala was good.

After an amazing experience with the Bellandur Outlet, we decided to try dinner from this outlet. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Tandoori Roti. The overall experience was great and would love to order from this place again.
I have ordered food from here via zomato. The only restaurant I can trust with taste for vegetarian foo, I have ordered several times - chaap tikka masala combo, lachha paratha, plain paratha, panneer butter masala. Side dishes like sweet, pickle, salad, raita are very good as well. If you are trying any North indian vegetarian food for the first time like chaap items which is not available in all restaurants, please select this restaurant.

Price is high but you won't be disappointed in the taste. Quantity is fair as well. But, price is little high and zomato charges too much tax and delivery charge.
update - updating the rating as per recent experiences, quality and taste is worst now.

Very dissatisfied with the effort which you put into the preperation of the food. Ordered even in this tough times because of the cravings and you have certainly not satisfied those cravings. All the best.

Have been a big fan of 'Punjabi Nukkad Pure Veg' restaurant ever since we tried their authentic Punjabi Cuisine while dining-in at their Bellandur branch, a few months back. Their food is just amazing and reminiscent of the true & authentic flavors of Punjab, which makes them the harbinger of true pure-veg Punjabi food in town.

I got to know about their very recently opened branch in HSR and couldn't hold myself from trying them out by opting for a food delivery. Though was a little nervous initially about ordering food from outside in the current unprecedented times, but then read about & confirmed the WHO recommended precautionary measures that they are taking to ensure hygiene and safety of the customers. There was no holding back and there we were, excited to order food from one of our favorite restaurants chain.

We ordered โ€˜Haryali Paneer Tikkaโ€™ in starters & โ€˜Chaap Taka Tak (Gravy)โ€™ in main-course, along with ordering โ€˜Ajwain Parathasโ€™. Haryali Paneer Tikka was amazingly delicious - very rich, spicy and true epitome of Punjabi spices and aromas. The Pudina Chutney as an accompaniment with the Paneer Tikkas, was out of the world. The 'Chaap Taka Tak' was amazing as well, the texture of the gravy was so distinctly delicious & full of flavors. The Ajwain Parathas tasted good as well and were big in size (almost the size of a Naan), one was enough for one person, especially after a rich helping of delicious โ€˜Paneer Tikkaโ€™ starters.

โ€˜Punjabi Nukkadโ€™ is a definite recommendation for all. Do visit / order food from Punjabi Nukkad, if you want to experience Punjabi hospitality and food at their best !
I ordered recently on a weekend some curries and paratha. I ordered paneer paratha which was served hot and packed very well. The paratha came with curd, onions and pickle.
The curries I ordered was dal makhani and palak corn. The corn was delicious and the dal makhani was cooked well. Everything was packed in different containers and well sanitized.
I also ordered butter Tandoori roti with this.

I ordered Dal Makhni, Paneer taka tak, Dum Aloo and Malai Kofta and butter naan.
The delivery was fast and the items were in separate sealed container and nothing had spilled.
Here is the individual review for each items
1. Paneer taka tak(5/5) - I'm crazy for paneer so I had high expectation from this and it was really delicious. Paneer was soft and the gravy was flavourful.
2. Dum Aloo(5/5) - I can say that out of all items Dum aloo was the best and the best that i've ever tried. Aloo was very flavorful and the gravy was full of different spipces which was really aromatic.
3. Malai Kofta - Hands down of the best malai kofta I've ever tasted. It tasted so "shaahi", You can taste a lot of cashews in the gravy. THe kofta was soft and filled with flavours.
Butter Naan(5/5) - quite soft and not very chewy.
4. Dal Makkhani(4/5) - This was good.Slow cooked dal makhani with great aroma. Although I feel this could have been better.

I am very impressed with the overall quality of all the items. One of the best I've ever tried.

so I ordered my lunch from this place, even though I was worried about the recent situations. But to my surprise, I was quite amazed with the hygiene quality they are maintaining. From the temp check of the delivery boy, sanitizing everything till contactless delivery.
Talking about food. Everything was delicious. I ordered the following things-
Punjabi chole- the perfect authentic north Indian taste with perfectly boiled and cooked chana, it was delicious. The gravy was thick and the spice level was just perfect.
Malai paneer tikka- Soft, delicate, and almost melted in the mouth. The flavours went till the core and the best part was the size of the tikkas.
Dal makhani- it was one of the best that I tried. properly cooked, smokey flavour, proper consistency, balanced sweetness and the beans just melted in the mouth.
My ratings: Definitely 5/5

The worst food ever had from Zomato.
The paneer was so horrible even a beggar would reject.
During COVID they are making really good profits by giving out such cheap and horrible products and making the money.
Trust me guys look for an alternative before checking in to this restaurant

I ordered kaju masala and paneer tikka. Kaju masala i felt gravy was stale as it tasted weird and within few hours of keeping outside it started smelling the way stale food smells.
Paneer tikka (quarter) contains two paneer pieces of medium size but they charge 100/- for two pieces which I didn't felt worth

The First thing what turns you off about this place is Service / Hospitality, Second is food..not comparing with price...Jeera Rice or Zero Rice, come with no salt and Jeera in it, hope you understand their quality...their starters are not great for the pricing,,overrated place, no taste , being foodie they thew bitter taste on my taste buds for that evening, I would give them one star or No STAR rating.

this is located in Harlur road near vibgyor high school. this is one of few punjabi restaurant in banaglore where i have been, serves proper punjabi parathas (Aloo/paneer/Gobi). they are soft and made with desi ghee. So yum that it reminds me my amritsar trip. apart from paratha, paneer butter masala, rajma and chilli paneer are good too. the owner sits on the counter often and he is very nice guy. Its must try punjabi dishes if you are in this part of banaglore.

This is one of the best restaurant where we can get authentic punjabi dishes.
The good thing is it is pure veg restaurant.

The starters were very tasty. Especially the malai mushroom was very good and the taste was fine.
We have tried Chilli baby corn, paneer starter, malai mushroom, stuffed aloo.ย

Then breads were also good. These are roti, kulcha, butter naan. But the taste could have been better.ย

The gravy curries were good, chana masala, malai kofta, paneer masala, dal makhani.

And finally ended with desserts gulabjamun.

My rating is 5/5.

Punjabi Nukkad located at HSR is the place in bangalore for a typical punjabi pitstop for all the Punjabi food lovers. Sprawled in a very typical Punjabi dhaba theme this place has its own crazy vibes. Very simple but yet decorative with good ambience lighting. The restaurant has the best Punjabi dishes that one can relish upon, we visited here for supper and the food was so promosing. The chaap and paneer was very well cooked and a must try over here.

when it comes to lassi , this will just sweep you off your feet, the best lassi I have ever tasted till now. Fresh thick and so satisfying. We tried the main course like dal, malai kofta & paneer gravy with butter nan and other few breads and they were so mouth watering appitizing.

Hot gulab jamoon with Shahi tukuda was very promising when it comes to desserts and over we all enjoyed the dinner with awesome punjabi music.

Am writing this review, to specially appreciate the restaurant guys for their dedication towards their customers, I placed an order at 9.45, got the delivery by around 11.30, but couldn't be upset after seeing that the restaurant owner or partner ( I guess) himself came to deliver the food...and politely apologized for the delay, more than the food this gesture made me so happy...๐Ÿ˜Š...the food was also clean and tasty....a special thanks to the chef for the cashew nuts in the noodles..๐Ÿ˜„

I went into the restaurant with all my reservations that i have with veg-only north indian places but i was proven wrong. Every single dish was authentic north indian. The dal makhni melted my heart away. The paneer tikka is one of the best i have had in Bangalore. Yes, five-stars included. The tandoori aalo was another notable dish. The masala they make is awesome. That just takes the experience to a different level.

The ambiance is very basic. Its not really a chic surrounding. Just go for the food there. The owner is an amazing person who, just like us, has a day job and drives this place purely out of passion.

I'm elated to find a slice of Punjab in Bangalore. I would definitely go back for more.

If you are looking for good old home style Punjabi food, this is the place for you. Pocket friendly prices, best option if you want to treat your hungry friends. It's a vegetarian only place, have variety of Punjabi, Tandoori dishes with also few Chinese dishes.

Went last night for a quintessential Tuesday vegetarian dinner with my office gang, completely loved most of the dishes.

We kick started with some starters like Paneer Satey, came on a stick with sweet and hot sauce on it. Ohh this was completely a fantastic finger food.

Next came the Paneer Chilli Milli, it's a tangy tandoori paneer, so soft that it felt like having a sweet, tangy cloud.

Ordered the Stuffed Mushroom tikka, this was by far the best mushroom dish in the menu. Mushrooms stuffed with cream and cottage cheese and some earthen spice was a delight in the mouth.

Then came the Tandoori aloo, which was again a favourite in the group. The potatoes were stuffed with khoya and paneer mix, then skewered
Chatpata Soya champ
Aloo Paratha
This is one of my favorite food places in HSR. A pure veg Indian restaurant having usual standard menu with some great taste. I have tried many dishes here. So will write down the ratings only.

Stuffed Mushroom Tikka : [ 4/5 ] : quantity and quality both perfect. A great starter.

Achari Paneer Tikka : [ 3/5 ] : not the best one as I had issue with the quality of paneer. Taste was not that great as well.

Mushroom pepper dry : [ 3.5/5 ] : it was okay. Nothing great or nothing bad.

Tandoori Aloo : [ 3.5/5 ] : okayish dish. Avoidable.

Kadai paneer : [ 3.5/5 ] : Average taste.

Kadhi pakoda : [ 4/5 ] : it was good. The spice level and the kadhi ratio was great.

Pindi Chana : [ 5/5 ] : you simply can't point out one issue with the taste of this pindi Chana. Cooked to the perfection. Amazing. Star of this outlet I must say!!

Simple homely Punjabi vegetarian food. Perfect place to come for quick dinner or lunches for groups or individuals.
We were here for dinner after a long day, and were not in any mood to experiment. So stuck to basics.
Their soya chaap, stuffed mushroom, laccha paratha, daal makhni, and til wale paneer were spot on.
I can bet my money, they have the best paneer in Bangalore, actually they get it outsourced from Delhi.
I think they need some improvement on the achari and chatpata items, but they were really good with the malai items.
For desserts we had gulabjamun, kheer and gajar halwa. The jamun was made in house was perfect, rest were average.
Nevertheless a total worth for money. Highly recommended for quick Lunch/dinner.

A dhaba-like pure veg Punjabi restaurant in Bangalore. This one has comfort food and soothing ambience.

Fun fact: the paneer at Punjabi Nukkad is of premium quality and is bought in specially all the way from Delhi.
It's soft, luscious and so damn tasty. The best in Bangalore.

I also tried the malai mushroom which was top notch.
The Masala Pepsi is killer.
There's Lassi and chaas which are super.

Try the parathas, paneer garlic naan, Dal makhni, chole and naan for some divine indulgence.
In the desserts, there's some superior drool worthy gajar ka halwa, kheer, and gulab Jamun.

Overall a 5 on 5 for this hidden gem! ๐Ÿ’Ž

Food was delivered cold. Had ordered Makanwala Dal and Paneer Tikka. Both were below average. Paneer was bland with no taste. Wonder how Zomato rating for this restaurant is 4.1!
