Review Punjabi Tadka - Bengaluru

This is one of the branches of Punjabi Tadka, near NIFT. The food here is actually good as of the Punjabi Tate and flavour. No issues about the food, and the price is also reasonable. You could have a proper meal.

I am changing my rating from 3-4 coz I have started liking this place. They serve good, tasty food at competitive prices. Home delivery usually takes lesser time than other restaurants. The only reason why this restaurant would not get 5 starts is for the way the place has been maintained. It looks nothing better than an ordinary mess and due to it's placement in basement, the place feels suffocating... I have always loved the food here... Patiala chicken is a must try..!!

Food is spicy though very delicious. I had the best Kulcha's in this place. Have them when they are served hot from the kitchen, very crispy and supple at the same time, that they melt in your mouth. Ambience is not great, though. Not many people prefer to go to this hotel and have food there. But most orders come online through Swiggy , Zomato, Food Panda and the kitchen is always busy. Rated high by the online food & delivery certification portals.

A very decent place right opposite to NIFT on 27th main road . The food is delicious. 2 people can have a good food in about 300₹/-. The owner is courteous and so are the waiters. I have visited this place n number of times and not once has it let me down with disappointment. Masala bhendi / matar paneer / chicken Peshawari and the list of my favourite dishes from the place goes on and on and on. Veg or non veg this place has the best for you. The ambience is okayish. But the food is all worthy for every penny you pay.

The service is good. We ordered chicken biryani , tandoori chicken , and more dis Taste of all item was very good. Nice place to visit when you are hungry. Looking forward to visit again when we plan next visit to Bangalore.. Hsr layout .....opp NiFT college.....

It has lots of food options like Tandoori, Chinese etc. Everything is good here for the price. The biriyani is not like Hyderabadi or Mallu. So I would not advise you to take the biriyani if you are so considerate about it.

Small, nice place located in HSR layout near the NIFT college. The place is mostly visited by the students in and around the NIFT college. They serve Chinese and Punjabi food. Dhaba type. I've really liked the HARIYALI CHICKEN GRAVY at this place along with some phulkas. Best combination.

Ordered chicken tikka masala from Swiggy and while the website showed 60 mins delivery time, the delivery guy delivered it in 30 mins - albeit with the usual supercilious comment 'if you had mentioned bring exact change, i would have got change.' adding non-stop to the rhetoric 'everybody does so' while as far as I know every restaurant into delivery by COD ensures the exact change is carried by the delivery guys. Be what may about people who never learn, the chicken tikka masala was deliciously spicy and just tasted as good as it does in Delhi or Mohali or Chandigarh. Plain paratha accompanied it best.

Small eat out place but food is tasty and in good enough quantity. Value for money. Don't expect anything lavish

Ambiance - Ok type, Service - Good, Food - Good North Indian style, Food Quality - Not high quality but acceptable. Price- very much affordable

I like the food from Punjabi Tadka. It's tasty and the rate is quite reasonable. But most of the time it's not available for online order

Located just opposite NIFT college and is the go-to place for it's students. Offers good food in a decent price range. The ambience is pretty average.

The food was well packed with no leakages. Not sure though why Swiggy tapes are being used for those ordered from Zomato. the quantity could have been a bit more and chicken pieces with more chicken and fewer bones :). The spices were as per my palate.

We regularly go for the lunch to this place. This place serve sufficient food for lunch. Rating is based only on there thali.<br/><br/>In thali they serve tandoor roti/phulkas, rice, salad, curry, dal, and bundi raita for 100rs.

kadhai paneer was superb though the quantity was little less but taste was awesome. the naan from this restaurant is the best. i have tried almoat all restaurant in hsr and btm and places nearby but the naan of this place is the best

Please do not order their Butter Chicken. It's like chicken pieces dipped in sugar syrup, in a gravy tasting of some edible but artificial flavors. Way too sweet and not at all like a butter chicken. Alu jeera and dal were tasty, but then how wrong can one get while preparing jeera alu and dal.

Have been eating here for the last 3 years and always value for money.

I have ordered from here before and food was great but this time the food was worse. There was no paneer in shahi paneer and everything seemed to be of low quality.

we had made the order at 1.37pm and the food was delivered at 2.50 pm.. the address was specified correctly but still the delivery person went in the wrong direction..he didn't even bother to make a call and ask for the correct location ..he should have at least made a call once if he is not sure about the address.

Ordered dal makhni and malai kofta. Both tasted equally bad. The dal makhni did not have any kind of creaminess and tasted stale. The butter phulka was soft and good.

It deserves -10, that's uncooked phulka with paneer in Flour and garam masala gravy (which they call paneer tadka) left the food in-between ,heading to Wang's kitchen.

Punjabi Tadka offers good food at reasonable prices compared to other restaurants in town. The restaurant is on a narrow road (though it's near NIFT college) that is not easily accessible and there is almost no parking. The customers are usually very local. Staff and service is decent. Good place to have food at Month end.<br/>

Though as name suggest, they boast of Punjabi food. But their food has been not close to real Punjabi food.I tried real punjabi dish Chicken Tikka Masala Boneless along with Butter Naan. Chicken dish was at-most average one; it was not authentic punjabi style. Naan was soft and decent in taste.<br/><br/>Service was decent but ambiance and hygiene needs to be improved. Total waste of money. We ordered one maharaja thali and chicken biryani. The biryani rice were normal rice and it had no masala at all. Looked as if plain rice. This was the worst biryani ever had. In thali the quantity was good but lacked taste. The dal and paneer did not taste good and the parathas were barely cooked. <br/>Pathetic experience, will not recommend anyone.

Ordered food from Zomato. Delivery was fast. And here comes the BUT, ordered Chilly Chicken and first of all, it was absolutely dry without even having semi-gravy and then it had HAIR. And that was DISGUSTING. Zomato shouldn't list such restaurants and I hope someone from Food & Supply Department sees this.

Good homelike food. We ordered chicken and mutton thali with chicken parathas. Thali was nice with dal-2 pieces of chicken-2 roti-rice-raita and salad. Chicken paratha was actually below average.

The food quality is pretty good and the preparation style is proper North Indian. However, a lot is required to improve in the presentation. Moreover, when the food is delivered. Half of the time, the food gets destroyed even if it is to be delivered as close as 1 km. The restaurant will be a good one if it puts some focus on the parcel and presentation.

Loved the Non-veg thali we ordered at home for Lunch, Two thali was enough for three of us. The food was warm and the taste was just like home. Perfect to eat when you want some home cook food.

Ordered Chilli Chicken and Jeera rice. Delivered to me was a piece of shit. First of all let me introduce chilli chicken. Punjabi Tadka did you forget to add tadka in it or you dont bother adding it. We ordered Egg Burji, Tomato Soup, Lemon Chicken, Haryali Chicken. They packed Egg Burji in plastic cover which is not good. Atleast they would have packed in aluminium foil.Tomato soup wasn't good. Lemon Chicken was okay. Spoiled Chicken is used in Haryali Chicken. Totally disappointed.

This place has a very stingy ambiance. At times you might also find cockroaches or rats roaming around.<br/>Their food is usually good and i go there mostly for the Maharaja Thali which is good food for good price.<br/>Their parathas are good too. But the chicken is not so fresh always.<br/>Although the food is good for a usual meal, they should definitely try to work on their ambiance, it is not very appealing.

We were regretting after ordering food from here. We ordered phulkas, aloo paranthas, dal makhni and chicken butter masala. The aloo parantha was not well cooked and could not be eaten. The dal makhni had no butter in it plus it was very salty. Chicken butter masala had a weird taste and we could not eat it. Too bad, we checked the reviews after ordering from this place. Not at all recommended if same quality is maintained by the management.

I regret not checking the reviews before . we ordered dal makhni and chicken and could not eat at all . Parathas were half cooked . worst ever food experience in HSR .

Called for home delivery from this place. The place is very cheap when compared to other Punjabi cuisine places in HSR, however, the food quality is also very cheap. The soup had some distinct smell and the gravys were of very bad quality and taste

This place is right in front of my college. When we're new to the place, we used to go to punjabi tadka. From biryani to paneer and chicken. It was nice back then. But over the years the taste has gone bad. My friends got sick because of eating here. The place stinks when you enter. The inside is hideous. Avoid going to this place.

Went with my friends because I was told that they have the thickest lassi just for 40 rupees. Entered the BJP-flag themed restaurant and had bought a lassi. And then I realized how dumb my friend was, for it was as thin as milk. <br/>But then I got out thinking maybe I just had been unlucky and paid the money. As I stepped out, a giant Bandicoot was stepping in. If it hadn't stepped in, I would have saved 2 or 3 more stars for the rating.

Went on a hungry afternoon with my colleagues.. We tried the variety of parathas on the taking.. It took a hell lot of time before our order arrived before our hunger dried up.. I tried only the chicken and egg paratha and it was decent.. Overall an average place and not a place to visit again and again..

My order got cancelled after waiting 1hr. 30 min back the status was the order is on the way. Then waited for next 45 min and called the restaurant they said it got cancelled. Nonsense.

I absolutely love this place. I used to order Tandoori chicken and laccha parathas for lunch almost everyday at work. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and while I haven't been to this place in person, I've never been disappointed with the food, so to speak.

This is the place is visit for quick dinner most of the time. Their thali is good, though i never liked their "a la carte". <br/>Ambiance is just like some average restro, nothing to specify about that. Here most of the time you will find college students having dinner when they are bored of their hostel food. <br/>Try this, if nearby and have no other option.

North Indian food like it should be made. The Maharaja Thali is a great option if you can eat a meal for 2 by yourself. Great VFM as well. Used to be a daily haunt.

A hidden gem in HSR, right in front of NIFT. Serves very delicious north indian food. Service is quick and efficient. This place is always bustling during meal times. People most order in but i prefer going there to eat.<br/><br/>Ambiance is not much to speak of. Simple yet effective. Mostly you will find tables for 4. If in a larger group you need to join adjacent tables. They have a pretty extensive menu and additionally take meal vouchers as well.<br/><br/>Their thalis are sumptuous, economical and more often than not my choice from the menu. Their non-veg al a carte dishes are pretty good too. Love their Gobi Masala. But the food is a tad bit oily. They generally use the same gravy for most dishes. After a point of time all the dishes begin to taste the same.<br/><br/>Still a very good option to have north indian dishes. Just dont make a regular habit of eating there.

Order food (egg biryani and chicken) yesterday night from here. When I opened egg biryani to eat late night it was having foul smell whereas the chicken was fine to eat. <br/><br/>Will never order the food from here again.

This place is located right opposite to NIFT college gate.<br/>The place has a college canteen like ambiance and is usually full of college students.<br/>The food prices are low and the paranthas are nice.<br/>The chicken dishes are also good and its a good option to go and watch a cricket match. <br/>During cricket matches all the college students would be there and you can enjoy the match with cheering and clapping.<br/>Reminds you of the college days and is a nice experience.<br/>The egg paranthas, and thali meals are good. Some days they have baingan ka bhartha in the veg thali and it is a must try. The phulkas are quite good and I usually exchange tandoori rotis with fulkas in their thalis

This restaurant should be close as they are saleing most pathetic food in the name of Punjabi restaurant.... Mistakenly I orders some food from them n got a pathetic experience... Mutton's Raw smell was coming from biriyani,hair found in raita,tandoori chicken was tasteless n with lots of red chill powder coating...I think thy don't know how to cook n I am sure its not a north Indian resturant..

Superb Punjabi food. We ordered paneer tikka, Tawa paneer, mix kulcha, capcisum masala, naan and sweet Lassi. All dishes were amazing. Service is slow and ambiance is ok. Parking is available but not provided by the hotel.

Thanks to zomato that I found this place... Right opposite to NIFT Bangalore... Went here for dinner... You won't find much people here.. But don't let that lower your expectations. This place serves you some authentic Punjabi cuisine at a much cheaper rate. You will notice that there are more delivery boys inside it than the customers anytime...

Punjabi tadka is really good in delivery. But if we go for fine in, plates are not cleaned properly as I observed lot of oil when I clean plate with tissue paper as plates are plastic. <br/><br/>But food here is very good. After searching so many places in hsr we finally ended here.. This place is very similar to dhaba.. We ordered for maharaja thali which is quite big and with 2 extra rotis will be a good meal for 2 people.. Price is economical and taste is fine.. Can go there when we want to complete meal in low budget and quickly.

I am writing this review based on only one visit, because i believe that I will never go back to this restaurant again. We reached this restaurant after we were lost in HSR in search for a good lunch place. Saw this restaurant somehow and decided to try it. Its an old garage that is now converted into a restaurant. The place is dirty, the paint on the walls have come off, the roof unclean.. Got a peep into the kitchen when they opened the door and it was pathetic.. Ordered Chicken biryani. What we were served were nothing but some kind of veg fried rice mixed with 2 small pieces of chicken with some gravy. It did not taste all that bad but was not chicken biryani and certainly not worth 120/-. if i wanted veg fried rice and chicken i would have ordered veg fried rice and chicken, not somehting disguised as chicken biryani. The gravy served along with the chicken biryani was gooey gooey.<br/><br/>Although its mentioned in Zomato that they accept cards they dont accept it.<br/><br/>I am never going back to this place again. However, i read somewhere that the home delivery is good, may be because u r spared from the untidy surroundings

The food is very much overpriced while the place is not exactly spotless. The taste is quite average and there seems to be a lack of spices in almost every dish. The taste is uniform for many different dishes.
