Review Adyar Ananda Bhavan - Bengaluru

Basavaraj Patil
One of the good restaurants located in Vidyaranyapura main road. It has all types of South Indian dishes and A2B brand sweets and masala powders. Food is really good to taste. All types of snacks are also available. The restaurant is always crowded with people needing to wait for getting seats. It has a self service and service hall. Overall the food is a good one to have

Come here for the Sambar and chutney! Real Tamil style with hing and vegetables in the sambar! Ghee Pongal was the best! You’ll also find sweet Pongal. Vada and dosas Idli and podi are top quality.

Visited this place for a Sunday breakfast with friends. They have self service and an ac room dine service available here. I really liked their ghee roast and onion uthapam. They give 2 different chutneys for ghee roast and 3 different chutneys for onion uthapam. I personally did not like one of the chutneys and I don't even know what chutney it is. But my friend liked them all and many may too. The coffee was average. There is a bit of parking space for bikes and it would be difficult for cars as it's a busy main road. Would definitely visit for more breakfasts here in the future.

No matter what some people in Bangalore say about Adyar Anand Bhawan, I don’t think I’d be able to criticise them on taste of the food. I like Chennai style sambhar and chutney for a change and in that category A2B serves the requirement for me. My favourite item in Menu is Mini Tiffins. They need improvement in service, hence giving 4 out of 5.

Fabulous food! Have been coming every night for raggi roti !! Love it.i have some dietary restrictions as in no onion and they happily oblige. It originally comes with onions.. thank you A2 😊

- The best filter coffee you get around in this area. - Tea has a pinch of cardamom flavour to it, but too much milk (which is not TN style) - Dosa is not too oily, unlike the mysore masala dosa. Roast is a must try - Most authentic Pongal in Bangalore. Ive tried it in Rameshwaram cafe, which isn’t close to what you get here. Drawback is the quantity. - if you’re in for brunch, try mini breakfast meal. Cons: Idly is not soft, too dry. Vada is a bit small. Service should be more elegant and warming. It feels too dead inside.

A2B is my all-time favourite for Masala dosa.♥️
They have variety of menu to choose from- south induan, North Indian, Chinese, sweets and chats.
I've tried-mini tiffin, mini lunch, south Indian meal, chats and everything years delicious and the quantity folks the stomach.
Price wise it's slight high but the taste is really damn good.
The ambience is okay.

It was a great time to be here first time on Bangalore- Hyderabad High outlet.
Food was awesome. Test of biryani, rajkachori, palak mushroom was amazing.
This outlet know as a pure ghee sweets and I had a gulab jamun at last it was melting in the mouth.. and the overall service and ambiance is amezing 😍😍😍😍👍

Cheese pizza was pathetic. Salty and burnt. Only the pizza base satisfied us. Never visit this place for pizza. Dirtiest pizza that was delivered.
AAIKALE
Adyar Anand Bhavan - A very familiar name for all of us at Bengaluru. I have visited three branches of A2B and it is safe to say that they maintain their quality across branches. They have a dining section and a sweetmeat / savories section at each outlet.

Ambiance: They Vidyaranyapura branch is quite spacious, with self service section outside and a family dining section inside. They both are clean and neat, with a minimalistic design. The family room hosts comfy couches for seating, light instrumental music and good cooling and ventilation.

Food: Okay, to say that the food was outstanding would be an overstatement. Their north indian dishes were pretty much average, the biriyani wasn't as flavourful as it should be, but nothing below average. We also tried their north indian curries, but you would have had better elsewhere. It is not something out of the ordinary. And I did the mistake of ordering a pizza over there, and like you would guess - it was a disaster. Kindly stay away from making the same blunder!

But when it comes to their dosas, pongal and bisibelebath its an entirely different story. Their dosas are just the perfect balance of crisp and softness, complemented wonderfully by the pooriyal (yello potato sabzi) and two types of chutneys - the white coconut chutney and a red tomato based one - both deliciously appetizing for your palate. Their pongal and bisibelebath is made with ghee tempering and the taste with linger for quite a while. South indian is the way to go when you step into A2B. Their USP is definitely their mysore masala dosa and try their ragi dosa, thats nice too!

Service: Prompt, friendly and always ready to tend to all your requests.

Value for money : NAH! I personally find this place a tad bit too expensive on the pockets. There are places offering you a similar (and even better) taste at a lower price.

@Aaikale Overall Scorecard: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

until next time, enjoy! Do let me know how your experience at A2B was. See ya!

Ananda Bhavan is know for Pongal and the red chutney they serve. Had been here in the evening for light snacks and had idli. Which was served with plantain leaf and with two different chutney. One was regular coconut chutney and the other one was red chutney. I liked red chutney more compared to the other one. Sambar was also served with it.

Taste 4/5
Service -self service
Ambience 3/5
Price -32 for two idli

A2B always has wide varieties of appetizing sweets and savories. They are always courteous and serves tasty food items for consumers. Great job A2B. Keep going like this.

I usually drive by Sweet & Savory all the time and I thought of trying those at A2B this time on one of my friend’s suggestion. Trust me guys!! The sweets are so good and I could not come out of that amazing taste till now. Bengali sweets and dry fruit sweets are so delightful and I am sure you will never find such quality and appetizing sweets other than at A2B in Bangalore.

Great ambience, tasty and hot food served for customers. Hot South Indian Meals only at A2B restaurant. A2B is one of the best South Indian restaurant which I have visited in Bangalore.

Considered to be a one of the good vegetarian restaurant. Ordered north Indian thali, a2b didn't keep up their percived reputation... Very long wait for the food to be served, first comes a small bowl of soup which is below standard and served very cold, thali was just okish, certainly not up to the Reputation of the A2B...

Ghee Roast South Indian style dosai, Pure North Indian Veg Meal & Bengali sweets is my favorite dish in this restaurant. Service is good. Good dining.

I have been to this place multiple times. So if you like South Indian food, do visit. A tamilian friend of mine introduced me to this place and now its one of my favourites for tamilian food. I regret not clicking more pictures. We were too busy eating. A must go. Highly recommended.
Ps- the staff members can be a bit nicer.

We ordered break fast it was looking very attractive and colourful with different types of chutney. But the taste is a disaster and very dissatisfied with the food. No flavour and taste in the Pongal, poori quantity is not value for money. Dosa is crispy but not tasty. Coffee is good . Hope the standard A2B is changed the recipes.
Prahlad G Rao
One of the worst restaurants in Vidyaranyapura. Pathetic food and even more pathetic service. It takes the staff ages to serve the food. I doubt if this really is a genuine A2B franchise. Give this place a miss.

Had been here recently and here is my review :
Taste:4.5/5
Value for money :3/5
Ambience:3/5
(Needs improvement)
Service :4/5
No parking facility (since its on the main road)

Nice place to eat the regular South Indian foodie items . Some sweets are worth trying like the Mysore pak . It is clean though having self service option

Rude, inexperienced staff and the food quality is dismal. I wonder if with every franchise that they open, the owners tell themselves this has to be worse than the previous one...
Wilma
This is becoming worst place in terms of services...I used to go there thrice a week here but now all good waiters are fired I guess...waiters have no manners... coming in half an hour to take orders in family area...even if we approach they find some escape and move somewhere in kitchen...crap it is..
Samarth Raj
One of the worst franchise of A2B i have visited. Though in general, i always felt A2Bs are expensive, but other franchisees atleast maintained the dining space clean and service normally used to be acceptable.
But this franchise lacks both..

Nothing much to say...

I give all ratings a score of 2...

Favourite place for breakfast. There's self service and fine dine. Food and ambience are good. Variety of dishes to try. Mini tiffin for breakfast is a must try.

Chats are served the best here. A little expensive than the normal range but worth the preparation. Amazing taste something similar to the once usually served in North ... Must try pani puri n dahi puri

Nice place for a typical south indian / chennai style breakfast. One of the best pongals in the town you get here, the authentic one. The sambar is real sambar. Can try for theie various type of dosas. Mostly poori will finish very early. Lunch the thalis both south and north are filling and the spread is good. Also you can try out their dahi based chats which are really good and filling too.

Good place breakfast. Many options are there for having south Indian food. The place was clean and spacious. Kerala Paratha is very good over here.
This place also keeps different kinds of sweets and snacks (namkins). I have no about these items as never tried here.

Nice juice and lassi
Good Ac and light
But North Indian food not so good
Only the sweet was good
I prefer if u want South Indian food
U won't get menu on zomato, they have proper restaurant inside. Not much impressive but it is mediocre.
Food-2
Entertainment-0 (have facility but do not put anything)
Ambience-2
Service-2
Try- veg kohlapuri and paneer tikka masala(ask them to make spicy)
Overall it's OK OK place.
#eatawesomeliveawesome

Had been here with a friend few months back. The Cheese Pav Bhaji on the menu attracted us. We ordered a plate of it. And the real good amount of cheese they had put, both on the pav and bhaji impressed me the most. Lip-smacking! The ambience is nothing great. But people can definitely visit here to have light pocket-friendly snacks.
Nals
My all time favorite Pongal. Feel the softness like sponge and melting ghee and cashews. Exact Tamil Nadu authentic taste with sambhar and coconut chutney. Enjoy once!

Sweets are good for occasions. But as an eat-out option, it's not much recommended considering both taste and the pinch on the pocket. The taste does not live up to the cost!
Harini Madhusudan
They have a warming ambience which I really liked. Food- gravy was delicious no doubt. But the roti was very hard. It was a thin layer and almost as hard as papad which was a little difficult to swallow. Also the soup bowls.. It accommodates a lot... But looks small :D
All In all.. Roti disappointed me. Hope they fix it.
Shiney Pururshothaman
Not a good option for eating out for 2 basic reasons, taste and cost... It's too heavy on the pocket... not sure why they charge so high for a simple masala dosa . Sweets are good however expensive.
Nitish
A very bad place for food. The quantity is too small and price is high. Sweets are good but not the food. They have to atleast provide food for a normal person to eat.

One of the bad places you can visit. I went there with my friends for breakfast. We had no one attending us for over 20 minutes and we had to literally call for people to give us the menu and take our order. Customer service is super bad. I would rate them -5 over 5.
Half the breakfast items were unavailable and we finally ordered A2B family dosa. This was not cooked properly in the middle and burnt in the ends.. The cost is super high and the quality is super low.. I would never go back or ever recommend this place to any of my friends ever.
