Review Kanti Sweets - Bengaluru

Sameer Avachat
This outlet serves variety of sweets and mixtures (namkeen). They also have pastries and bakery products. All the products are fresh and fast selling. You can get samosa, kachori as well. Parking can be a problem sometimes.

^This Brand holds history because they are more than 60 year old brand. ^one of best sweets and savory items. ^ Special Mysore Pak should try. ^they have options of malai items and price is reasonable for their great quality.

This is my go-to place for Indian snacks. We also had samosa and kachori which were good. However the chutney wasnt made here (it was in plastic packets) which was surprising for a shop which generally claims to sell fresh things only.

Kanti sweets is the name of trusted sweet shop in the bengaluru for purity and sweetnrss. I like the sweet and taste of all sweets. It sell sweet and Namakeens at best prices and trust. Shop is not too big but number of sweets available there. No snacs are avaible there that is the one point ehere people need to compromise. It sell Laddo, Peda, Petha, Chhena, Khowa, Rajbhog and so many other sweets of North snd South reasons. I like the taste.

Sorry we ate all the sweets, so no photos. Famous and easily accessible sweets shop in Bengaluru. Apart from sweets, they have a various Mixtures (Snack items). Tastes great. I would give a 90+ to most seeets and snacks. Their Bombay (Karachi) halwa is C- International packing: plan to buy at Kanti Sweets and have it repacked elsewhere into airtight plastic covers. Their packing for mixture is in containers which occupies too much space. Very reasonable pricing. The per person spend question below is tricky when it comes to sweets.

I have never had a bad experience here. They have the best assortments of sweets and are always great on quality.

A really good sweet shop dishing out sweets, savouries and snacks for quite some time now. They have recently relocated to the new place but the quality has not changed. A little over priced but awesome quality. You should try their kaju sweets and aam papad sweets. Their moti choor laddu, jalebi and mini jalebis are worth a try. Their samosas are really good. Worth a visit to buy high quality sweets.
Arun Bhagat

A variety of sweets, savouries and chats. But be sure to go in the mornings or afternoons as it gets over by the end of the day. The sweets are of good quality and fresh. My favourite here is the pine kaju katli and kheer kadam. They have different types of chivda, chakli etc and all are fresh and tasty. I also like their samosa and chat and we can surely grab a quick evening snack here. A very good and quality place for sweets.

Kanti Sweets ia a good outlet for savouries and sweets. They have a great choice of sweets and snacks.
Their kaju katlis and roasted cashews, dry fruit barfis are really tasty.
I picked many dry fruit boxes and sweet boxes during Diwali and it was worthwhile, though a bit expensive.

I ordered Rasgulla and I kept it in fridge hoping that remaining pieces will have it next day. To my shock the next day the Rasgulla became inedible and it was breaking down into granules. Kanti Sweets should take care of the quality.

Kanti sweets are the best sweets I like in Bangalore since 7 8 years, but they are very costly.... My all time favorite is kaju katli
Harmeet Singh
The motichoor laddoo were extremely sweet. Infact the same with the rest of the sweets. Also, they mixed some other fruit barfi with coconut barfi. Mithai doesn't mean it has to be sugar shot.

Kaju Katli sugar content is quite high when compared to Badam Katli which i don't see in menu. Also price in Menu is Rs.920 for KG but is much lesser when we visit the store. Why such a price hike?

Best sweets in Sahakarnagar. The section of chats has been removed recently. You only get bakery items now. This has not been updated on the zomato yet.
Nameesh (Fodyssey)
This is one of the established sweet shops in city and they have nearly 50 outlets across various areas. I want to share feedback on one of the outlets that is closer to the Hebbal area. I have personally gone there for picking sweets and thought it is good to share my feedback as there some nice things I came to know about this chain.

Ambiance

An outlet that is pretty big and spacious. The sweets are well arranged, in the glass shelves like in the other shops. Naming has been done for each of the sweets along with the pricing info. There is a section to the right side where chat items are available. It has become quite common for every sweet shop to also have chat as people want to take something spicy if they end up eating a sweet at the outlet.

Food

I have picked up quite a few sweets from this outlet, including – Kaju Katli, Baadam Katli, Rose Dry Fruit Laddu, Moti Choor Laddu and Kaju Phool.

Badam Katli is surely one of the my favourite as it is based on almond and they seem to taste better. Not sure if it has something do with the type of almonds they use, but I sure do like them here.

Also love the dry-fruit laddu that has rose-petal around it. The taste of the sweet is enhanced by addition of the rose-petals. I have tried tea with rose-petals but I have taken sweet with rose-petals only from this sweet shop.

Service

The staff are quite courteous here and are always willing to give a bite for tasting if you need one. That way you will be able to check the taste before taking it.

Person across the counter told me that they get sweets supplied to them 4 times in a day. That means that the sweets that are present are relatively fresh. It also shows the popularity of the outlet amongst people for picking up sweet.

The other day when I wanted to buy sweets in the morning, I could see the truck load of sweets being brought and being refilled at the outlet.

Overall Experience

This is one of the good places for picking up sweets. I have personally liked a few varieties of sweet at this outlet as mentioned above. I need to try many more sweet but feel that they would be good. I would love to try some of the chats at this outlet. So, my current rating for this place would be 3.5/5. That does not mean that the outlet has any quality issues but just that I need to explore more. But for sure it is a sweet shop you can go and pick up some of the sweets I mentioned above.

The price for Badm Katli and Rose dryfruit burfi per kg is around INR 750.
Arijit Chakraborty
They have been known for their sweets for quite few years now. Try their samosas and the new addition being the puffs very nice. Also among sweets i luv the rose petal dry fruit laddoo, motichoor and kaju katli the most. Kaju n badam items are good.

Nice collection of Bangali sweets,Namkins and dry sweets, snacks also.Good tastes. It is Abhi franchise in Bangalore competitive price with others.

It earlier was the go to stop for our sweet needs! They do have tasty samosas and kachoris as well. The chats are good, but nothing extra ordinary! Stick to the sweets and savoury goods, that's what they do well.
Kamal Artwani
Kanti offers a good variety of snacks and chats here in Sahakaranagar.

They have Paratha, grilled sandwich and a couple of other items on the menu apart from the usual chat items.
The taste is good and the service is quick.
It provides you with one other option for a quick evening snack in Sahakaranagar.
Sandarsh Shetty
Everything is excellent here except the way you greet people. Being a kannadiga and residing in shakaranagar, I expect you to start the conservation with Kannada words rather kya chahiye? This will definitely add local flavour and motivate me to come again and again. Let's not forget our root and language just to please and get the business . Please :-)

This one-roomed sweetmeat store is an immediate answer for sweet cravings. Being an obvious sweet-toothed Bengali, the quest for delectable sweets in any city is a continuous habit and most often, doesn't yield a satisfying result, what with the taste or quality of the sweets. But this one didn't fail me. I quite liked their taste though the quantity seemed a bit less for the price. You can get many other snacks as well and their kachoris are really soft and the chutneys are lip-smacking. The storekeepers aren't offensive but given the daily crowd, even on weekdays, you might find it hard to reach the counter and keep track of all that you're eating. Thumbs up from me..definitely worth a try.

Mysore pak, Dharwad peda, family mixture, kodbale, dalmoth, different puff types (capsicum, paneer, babycorn, masshroom)!
En route airport you request cab driver to spot sweet shop to have some Karnataka sweets to carry home; he misses Anand Bhavan on other side of road and then suggests detour for sahakarnagar and till you reach Kanti sweet shop you are not sure if it was right thing to take detour!
Friendly service, quick bites as taste and well stacked sweets, namkeens will make sure that you will fall in love with most of the items, how much willing to carry will decide bill amount. We had taken above mentioned items and fully enjoyed them.
Go and explore Kanti Sweets!

Since i was new to bangalore, After hearing so much about kanti sweets and a long wait ended up giving my way to tastebuds. The outlet was located in the main road. Had few seating arrangements. They had lot of varieties in their sweets and savouries and also few spl packs according to the festive season.

On my quick pick up, i tried their basundi, kala jamun, cashew nuts and other variety of sweets too. Also their falooda - snack made from potato was nice.

Kanti sweet make good sweets . . but the owner of this store in Sahakar nagar has huge attitude problem handing customer . . . its like if you want to buy or get lost from here attitude . . . . . since they dont have other competitor . . . For Me its over and they have lost 1 customer and will never get it back

- santosh.1002@gmail.com

Kanti sweets have built a reputation of being one of the best sweet mart chains in Bengaluru, serving some delightful sweets.

Their range of sweets is amazing, out there with one of the widest spread of mithai! It would be difficult to remember few of the names but paan-mithai, kaju katali, puran poori are really good. Routine bengali mithai is definitely worth a try. Another thing I like at Kanti is their range of laddus. Besan, rava, boondi laddus are potent. Kesar Motichur laddu (I guess made in ghee) is best in the town!

Apart from sweets they have snacks, chaat and few beverages to offer. Samosa and Kachori are of perfect taste and quality. Chaats are good, definitely better than the excuse for a chaat that you get in the city (which includes hot green peas, carrot and cucumber!). Paav bhaji is alright. Cold and hot badaam milk is their specialty and rightly so!

I have been to many Kanti sweets but this is one of my favorites owing to amazing variety, quality, taste and cleanliness at the store. To add to that it is merely a kilometer away from my house. :)

|==========| MyVerdict |==========|

Taste buds: 4

Quality & hygiene: 4

Ambiance/Vibe: 3.5

Service: 3

Menu Options: 5

Dime’s Worth: 34

Happiness Meter: 4

USP: Mithai Paradise! This is our go to place for sweets. Nice little place , but can get crowded on weekends. We are regulars to this place for chats and paranthas. Courteous staff and they maintain good cleanliness. Wide variety of sweets. Love the Agra petha and kaju fry.
Suhas Manjunath
I have two brother's house near to Sahakaranagar where I usually visit this eatery to have some munching chaats and take pack some delicious sweets. Taste, Service and Ambience is pretty good and do visit this place to have chats and sweets! Thumbs Up!

It was late in the evening and it was time for us to hog something after watching a stupid movie :) . Chat was the first thing that came into mind. So my friends and I decided to step inside the place.

Chat was definitely good. We had bhel puri, pani puri, sev puri ...yummmmmm!!!!
Loved all of it. I wish the sev puri could have been better. Highly recommended!!!
Must visit and value for money!
Smar Gangs
This is a great place to get your sweet tooth satisfied and enjoy your chaats and namkeens too.
They have a great variety of sweets, fresh and tasty especially the wet varieties like rasmalai.
Chaats are tasty and worth a try.
Overall a good experience here.
Santosh Shet
Best Boondi Ladoo, Ghee Ladoo and Kaju Katli..!!

Chat section is also good and must try is their Cold Badam Milk, Veg Grilled Sandwich and Sev Puri.

Cost for chat is not too expensive, but sweets vary depending on the day. If its a festival they increase the price by Rs.100-300 which I dont like.
Tej Singh
Safe and reliable. Sweets are good, snacks are good too. Customer focused and fresh supply. Must try fried kaju. Everything is nice but slightly costly and unable to meet taste of Sri Hanuman Sweets.
Ameet KKatyal
Fresh sweets anytime of the day. I keep going to this outlet regularly and like their service and quality of the products.

Must try the coconut barfi, which melts in your tongue and small kachoris, which add spice to your morning/evening tea/coffee. Small gulab jamun and ras malai is yumm!!

The chat section is not that great though - this place is only for sweets.
Kaustav Chakraborty
Good quality of sweets and snacks are available in this eatery. I have visited other branches also from the same group and found Sahakaranagar branch serves tasty variety of sweets and snacks or chats. Located in the heart of the Sahakaranagar diagonally opposite to the Ganesh Temple.
Rama Mohan
I am a fanatic for cashew burfi and nobody makes them better than kanti sweets . even the different mixtures are great . the place is clean and well maintained .

Although kanti sweets is well known for its Indian sweets the vegetable grill sandwich and masala puri were very satisfactory.
The food is fresh and scrumptious as well.
Quality 4.5/5
Quantity 5/5
Ambience 4/5
Service 4/5
Overall : great place for a small affordable snack.
Anshul Sharma
Whenever I go to sahakar nagar, I do visit this place coz they have the best sweets in town. I have tried their Kaju Katli, Gulabjaamoon, Ras malai, Ghewar, motichoor laddu, milk cake and all were great. If you are going for a evening stroll around this area and want to have some snacks or Chaats, please go there. Try their hot Badaam Milk !
Pradeep Ganesan
I always try chiroti or pheni with hot badam milk whenever I visit this place. You should try Chenna pais and masala poori. We have tried other chaats as well, all are too good.

Also, try malai sandwich!
Rajesh
Only sensible place for indian sweets in and around sahakarnagar
its been more than a decade they are around.

they also serve good parathas and chole bhaturas for breakfast.

meal for two would cost around 200/-.
Anoop Ramakrishnan
Kanti's has emerged as quite a popular option for sweets & chaats these days.

I have tried quite a few items from here and on top of my list is - the Dry Fruit Bites. It comes in a variety of flavours like Rose, Orange, Strawberry, Pineapple etc and is quite the innovation. An assortment of these bites makes for a fantastic gift option as well. I always take a box or two of these on my trips and almost everyone has loved them and keep asking for more.

The other sweets such as the Kaju-based ones are also pretty decent. Haven't tried the rest though. I have also tried out their Gulab Jamun, Rasmalai, Chena Pais etc which are quite good as well.

They have a range of Chaats too, of which the Samosa Chaat is my favourite. The Kachoris, Pav Bhaji etc are some other good choices. My cousins when visiting Bangalore always make it a point to squeeze in at least 1 visit to Kanti's, during which we invariably order all the afore mentioned items and then top it off with nice, cold Badam milk.

Verdict :- Recommended.
Himanshu Mittal
Shop has many options for sweets. North Indians will love this place with the vast range of sweets . They prepare all the seasoned sweets too . You will get ghevar during teej , gunjia during holi . gajar halwa in winter. Good place for sweet junkies. They serve snacks but snacks are not that great . They have aloo parathas also . You do not find it anywhere in shakarnagar. but parathas are just ok . Go to this place for sweets
Manish Thakur
Always overcrowded, sweets are of very good quality, chats not up to the mark, ambience average..!!
Abhijit Das
Budget Place, very good place to hangout..!!
Tejas Narayanappa
Not bad. Chats are good but a tad overpriced. Ambience is ok. Was always overcrowed when it started but you can find lot of spaces to peacefully sit and have chats. My personal experience with the chats once you eat it more than 7-8 times you feel like not having it again.
