Review Bonsouth - Bengaluru

Joy N'Joy
It's located in koramangala, nice place for buffet. Ambience is good. Starters are very good. I heard from the manager that the menu keeps on changing from time to time. Staff treats you very well. Service is awesome. They will ask you for the feedback regarding the taste and anything to be improved. Non veg recipes are good. As buffet menu changes from time to time, chances to get different dishes every time. Desserts are lip smacking.

Along with my colleagues of around 15 pax we've gathered together for the Team Dinner and it really went excellent. A place with nice Ambience and good food to keep us occupied and enjoy the time. Limited varieties of starters but fine taste. For the cost that we pay, we get unlimited starters and main course which is something cool. A must to try.

The best place in Bangalore to experience cuisines from all South Indian states, with a slightly heavy influence of Kerala. The food is served on table buffet style, where you are served scrumptious staters at your table & you can dig in the mains & desserts yourself. The starters that comes from the live kitchen are super yummy, my favourites have always been the deep fried prawn fritters, the banana leaf Wrapped & Steamed Andhra Style Fish. This paired with impeccable service and an attention to detail. I always love the South Indian Style, non Hyderabadi Biriyani here, more subtle & flavoursome. The stew and appams are a great combo, though you could replace the appams with some Malabar style Parota, also goes wonderfully well with delicious mutton & chicken Curries. Their Tender Coconut payasam is to die for, these shots are gulped down through out the meal & not just as dessert. On a recent visit, service has dipped down a bit, but nevertheless the food is just great as ever. Hope my feedback to the Manager is taken seriously & the service quality improves.

Fantastic restaurant for South Indian veg and non vegetarian food. Charming ambiance and friendly staff. Lavish spread of starters, main course, appams, Kerala parota, cocktails and mocktails, and not to miss the southern style dessert and filter coffee.

Very good place for team lunch or with family. Good varietes of starters they serve. Good for Veg guys. They have delicious veg starters. Fish was also good, fish was prepared in Kerala style. Main course was ok ok. Again dessert was awesome, specially Gulab Jamun was very soft and nice. Interior is also good. Staffs are very polite. Overall you should try once.

It's a great place to dine for folks who like Malayali or Kerala food. The serving style is like Barbeque Nation. Lot of veg and non-veg starters. Main course has sufficient items. First time I see Appam in the main course of a buffet. Was made nice and soft. Veg stew was smooth and nice, with not being too sweet or spicy. Not too much of cardamom. The way I like it. Was a hearty meal. Would love to visit again.

The restaurant is good. Has a buffet option for the evening which is reasonable. There is a lot to choose from for starters and main course. I was a fan of phulkas they made there. Has a lot of variety of desserts to choose from. Overall experience good. I went there on my bike so parking was not an issue. For cars valet parking is available. Washroom is smelly.

Been there few days back. It’s a good place with buffet food. The cuisines are enhanced South Indian dishes. Non veg items are fried, therefore it’s oily and can’t have much. Though taste are different then normal BBQ.
Shilpa Gangadhran
Nice buffet is available... we have been for the family lunch here many times... it has both veg and non veg varieties in the menu. Non veg is awesome... Place is cool n cosy... there is open dinning for limited seating which is actually nice for group lunch but its based on availability... Over all its a good place and tasty fòood.....

If you love Indian food, this is a good place to visit. But you may want to skip on the drinks here, they sound nice but aren't well made and ruin the food experience. Other than that, good value for money and Friendly staff make this a wonderful restaurant :)
Raghavendra Deepak Dupuguntala
Well to be very precise I haven’t tasted any dish here, but still I could not control to mute the camera and the hotel management was so friendly to welcome into their kitchen and gave me complete freedom to capture the pics.

Nice place....interior was gud. Food was good(Non veg). Has live counters, Gola counter. Starters were nice. Desserts were good. Main course as usual normal ones. Rest rooms are ok. Parking on side of the roads. Valet parking available.

Good place to have buffet meals with team or family. Food tastes awesome and the service is also excellent. Only thing is the service is little bit too fast and within no time your plate is full of delicious items where enjoying the taste becomes tedious.
Sayanti Dutta
Loved it. From food to decor to hospitality everything was great. If you want to experience true south Indian cuisine this is the place. The variety and taste just left me spell bound.

Different kind of starters compared to the other BBQ outlets. They serve a mix of all the starters in South India. Main course had appam with veg stew and biriyani's. Desserts we're not impressive!

We went for lunch after seeing the very good reviews/ratings(now i think paid reviews)... the place is very bad and unhygienic ... pathetic cuisines. They have shifted more towards chettinad style... but still not great taste. Never going to visit again.
Jyothsna Chand
Initially this place was amazing. Now they r slowly dropping their spread variety and taste . Some more improvement and it 'll be back to its glory. They have different fests going on each time.Manager and staff are very attentive and courteous .

We went for lunch... long time ago also we had visited bon south and had some fond memories of crispy appams... but this time the place disappointing... cuisine has shifted more towards chettinad style... but still not great taste..

Onam dessert desaster!

My husband ordered paratha, eggcurry and the prime reason for our order: hot payasam! (Onam!)

Big container with eggcurry, three very oddly shaped parathas, uneven , thick, not round . But the tip of the iceberg: cold sweet coconutmilk with NOTHING in it in the name of hot payasam for a proud 175 rs. We were stunned. That too on Onam. The egg curry wasn't bad , the parathas tasted okand they weren't completely cold. But boy, I would t recommend anyone to order 'hot payasam'. The Menue said 250ml. It wasn't even that. It was maybe 125 ml at the most! Sad really.

Excellent menu for Ona Sadya. Very good range of food, very friendly and helpful staff. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
This place used to be one of my favourite South Indian buffet places at one point but the last two times I’ve been here, my experience has been horrendous.

Let’s start with the food - what would you expect from a restaurant that has the word “South” in its name? A southern theme of some sort. There was hardly any dish that could be called South Indian apart from the cold aapams, avayal and mutton curry. Even the music wasn’t south themed. The buffet theme was confusing, from Chicken tikka masala to noodles and garlic sauce, these items do not belong at a restaurant that aims to be South Indian

Deep fried prawns covered carefully in a thick batter was not even deveined, which is just plain lazy on the chef’s part. This was a recurring theme, unclean plates , broken cups, shabbily maintained sofas, filthy restrooms etc. The management running the place is clearly not interested in customer satisfaction .

This place is neither south nor north, neither east nor west, it is just another mediocre buffet place with nothing exciting to offer. Give this place a miss especially if you are looking for quality South Indian food. The only positive about this place were the courteous waiters.
Niketha Shetty
Visiting this place for a buffet dinner 2nd time. This has a combination of North n south food. Starters have got good amount of items including prawns, button , chicken, fish n few in veg. Prawns could have been better. Main course we're usual however I missed having banana Dosa which I had in my 1st visit and wmit stole my heart. I wish it could be there even now. Desserts need improvement coz there were jalebis but not hot, I wished that could be served hot. And also bowls n plates weren't clean enough. Loved the variety of salads. Hence other than few improvements rest seemed fine. Hospitality is good.

Poor quality food. Went for Zomato Infinity meal but left after tasting the food. Would not recommend. Not sure how they have managed to get 2700 reviews!

We visited Bon South as on 9th of August 2019. Not the 1st visit but 5th. Bon south used to be the epitome of fusion south indian dishes, amazing service, awesome quality and taste. So this time when my guest came down from Goa, or first choice was this. But we were disappointed to the extreme. Cost of Buffet being 1300 like any premium place, the food was just the opposite. Hardly any old menus were there. No originality or fusion, just normal north indian food with a little touch of the south. Highly reduced menu, starters did not taste good. Main course had no variety and weird choices which does not make sense. Like Chinese with South Indian curry. I mean it was big joke. The soup was worse than boiled water. Moreover even service was not that great literally forgot to serve us one starter in the limited starters that they had. Even taste of the dishes that were repeated from previous menus has detoriated drastically. What to say, a legend now in rags... Feeling sad..

Went for lunch with family. They have a good spread of starters, which they serve on the table and the main course was buffet. Disappointed with the dessert options, but. Ambience is nice. Good for visit with family and friends.

If you are an ardent fan of some great South Indian cuisine, bon south provides you the best of South India. The starters are extremely refreshing and perfect taste. The main course can be made better, loved their coconut payasam shots, it's a must try. Also if you are a wine cocktail lover, then you must try elneer, it's a coconut based wine drink. Overall a good place, good location. The ambience is not that great, very homely and the staff is extremely warm and will make you feel comfortable instantly.

I was here to try out their Chettinad food festival. I never expected variety here, but the quality of food was simply superb and it was very filling too.
The starters were served hot and quick and details of each and every dish were elaborated by the staff.
Prawns ended up being my personal favourite here. The huge buffet had a lot to offer for both vegetarians and non vegetarians.Appams, parotta and dosas were freshly cooked and served from the live kitchen right in front of us.
The dessert options were minimal and well made.
Recommended!
Allan Fredrick V
When we went for buffet lunch, there was Chetinad festival going on and the food tasted really good. The starters were good and was regularly served to our table. The main course was good but could not have much as we were filled after starters. The desserts were a big let down. The staff were courteous and friendly, they kept asking about the taste and spice levels. Overall enjoyed the food. Keep up the good work.

Finally visited BonSouth and it was totally worth it. The starters were a delight, all the items were just perfect. They serve the starters on your table and they are freshly made. The appam and Keema dosa was also brilliant, main course has less items but well prepared and tasty. Desserts were average hence the 4 stars, else would have been a perfect 5. Special mention to the staff, they welcome you with a smile and see you off with a smile.

What makes this place stand out is its commitment to serving authentic South Indian food. This is not your regular idli-dosa, rice-sambar-Biryani place. Come here if you wish to try something new and it will exceed your expectations. Their food is tasty and fresh, their flavours not overpowering. Their specialty seems to be the subtle use of delicate spices. Service is very courteous and reasonably efficient. I find their dinner buffet reasonably priced at Rs 875 all inclusive for the non-veg. Overall, I would recommend this place for days when your palate is feeling adventurous. Bonsouth is one culinary journey you’ll really enjoy. Bon appetit.

Pathetic Food served. Appam was made out of atta. Hair found in the Prawns. Food was not served Hot. Parotta ordered was not freshly made. On the whole it’s been a worst experience. Never visit the place.

The drink special was great, 2 drink for the price of one! But I couldn’t say the same for the food, unfortunately we had most of the starters and only a fraction of them were tasty, 4 of us were also sick the next day, so it was not a good experience!
Food 2/5
Atmosphere 2/5
Price 3/5

Very very friendly place. I have never been treated better at a restaurant. Christopher was very helpful to us. I recommend trying Appams and their Stu. Their starters are good too. And the desert is superb. They had a lot of variety, I couldn't try few of the items like the Biryani and egg curry but they looked good, don't miss out on the fish though.

I have nothing great to except that the 4 plus rating is not worth it.. Zomato should personally check this place out before it rates this restaurant.

A lovely place to spend time and have great food!

Ambience:
The ambience is great and cozy. It is made like authentic south Indian home.

Food:
Starters: 9+5 starters. Except potato everything is great. Prawn, fish, gobi, paneer were awesome.

Main course: everything was great. I loved their fish curry. Appam was perfect.

Desserts: Wow for elaneer payasam. Others were good too. But the master of show is elaneer payasam.

Service:
We were hosted by Christoper and team. He handled the requests warmly. And the service was great!

Overall a great place to have gear food and time!

PS: we were totally indulged in food and missed to take photos!

This is a hidden gem . Been there for lunch today and took a non-veg buffet . The starters fish in banana leaf , golden prawns , peri peri chicken were just amazing and you just can't skip the combo of appam and mutton curry . Please go and eat . And for vegetarians you won't believe the spread they have.

One stop for South Sea Food buffet restaurant was bonsouth a year back.we around 17 came for team lunch on 10th May 2019.when I booked previous day..Mr.Ashok gave me 650/- veg and 750/- for non.veg.when we reached there Mr.sreenivasan greeted us.it was all pleasant.Mr.sreenivasan said about 16 varieties of starters.many startes vanished from the menu which were there a year back.veg startes were ok types.non veg starters only golden fried prawns and a fish rolled in banana leaf wrapped was good.
Chicken was not upto the bonsouth standards.
They serve appam...but it was like plain dosa.
Main course is ok.
Deserts not much variety.
Plates and bowls are not clean.yellow stains on the bottom.
When the bill arrived , 775/- was veg and 875/- was nonveg...125/- extra they charged.Mr ashok had promised to give 15% discount the previous day.
I spoke to Mr.sreenivasan who was not ready to give what was promised . He agreed to give 20% discount instead.
Note :- please confirm again before booking the table about the pricing.

Verdict :-
1) Quality ----- 7/10
2) Ambience ----- 7/10
3) Service ------- 7/10
4) Value for money ----- 6/10
Great food, wonderful staff. Buffet has nice variety of sea food, non-veg and vegetarian. Starters are a nice mix too. Particularly loved the fusion soup a cocktail of milk, cream and coconut milk. YUMMY.
Srihas Kumar
They have changed the menu! It's Bon South and there were no South Indian specials at all. Except appam and parota. Appm is best here. Now they have all BBQ types which doesn't justify Bon South ..
Sujata Baruah
Very good service and courteous behavior of the staff. The lunch buffet is quite filling and tasty of course. Affordable and good ambience can get a 5 rating they just need to take care of the fish smell 😂

Ambience was very good
Food test is OK
Service was really need to improve and little fast service
Staff is very friendly and polite great job

Polite staff. Really amazing food. We were a bit disheartened that they dont have ala carte for lunch but the lunch buffet is def most amazing.

Super ambiance and food quality is rally good.and mr Srinivas mgr taking care of each a table with smiling face.&over all my experience was so good with dis place.

I went there for a quiet dinner with the family. The menu had a good mix of non veg items. The starters are served and they boast of quite a few options which itself was filling. The main course was a buffet and quite decent though I didn't see too many South Indian dishes. I felt this could have been better. More karnataka delicacies could have been featured. The drinks were decent. The ambience seemed a little run down but the food made up for it. Slightly high priced if you are not a good eater.

One of the worst restaurant which i have visited. Visited here by seeing google and zomoto reviews. But disappointed a lot. First of all they converted residential house in to restaurant. Open kitchen is at middle of the restaurant. Because of continuous cooking smell you will lost interest to eat. Staff is very lazy. They wont come until and unless you call 2 to 3 times. Again they will vanish after serving one started dish to you. For each and everything you have to call them 2 to 3 times. While serving starters they dont even ask the quantity. They just serve remaining food in the plate without asking you. If you say also they wont care. Instead of asking our drinking water preference they just serve with their 1 liter water bottles which costs 35rs per liter. There is no dedicated staff for desserts sections. People should come to kitchen area and should request the staff to serve ice creams. We went to take some food from buffet, when we came back they cleared our plates and mixed all spoons of our colleagues.. Seriously?? this is small basic thing. This also they were not able to do it perfectly. Most of the non veg is half cooked. Never ever recommend to any one. Over all experience is disaster.. If they do service like this soon bone south will become gone south.. Zomato is notorious to delete genuine comments and keep only high rated reviews. So my review may go at any time
Rakesh Bhamu
Slow service,

No Veg and Non-veg markings,

Ice-cream counter is hidden,
Not properly Air-Conditioned as its build in a house space.

Overall its not recommended.

Very bad food Quality and Hopeless Service. I think all the reviews on Zomato are paid reviews. Hence check real ones on Google. I am sure even this will get deleted.

Went for Friday buffet dinner.
Found this place quite good with verities of long servings!
They server really good starters. Crispy corn and french fries were just so amazing!! Ordered them various times.
Other then starters main course and salad range were good but found dessert option little less then other restaurants but taste was good!!
A great place for buffet with soothing ambience!!
Rahul Matte

We were literally disappointed because of their arrogant attitude towards serving food. The plates were stained.
The place where we seated at was stinking.

I won't recommend.

Hridam
Very good service and ambiance was very nice and
Food was delicious and very test and mocktail all so very good and asian veg was very good
Staff was friendly great jab
Food is not good.. service is pathetic... Manager doesn't care... Have to ask for starter , by going to the counter..even french fries is served refried in residual oil...AC doesn't work.. won't recommend
Pratheek Reddy
Place was good with south Indian vibes
Starters were from live counter directly served from pan to plate.
Worth every penny.
Hospitality at higher level was warm but waiters were pale faced.
Sajith K V
They do not have beer in this restaurant and force to take very expensive cocktails ! Not a good choice if you want some drinks with your food !
Sanaulla Khan
I went here for non-veg lunch buffet with my friend for 1+1 offer. My stomach got full with starters itself as they are so much in variety which I didn't eat before. Main course is also very good. And lastly so much desserts that I could not able to choose all of it. Staff very quick with bringing food. Manager come between meals & asked us about if we enjoying food. Yes we definitely enjoyed eating here.
Raj
VITO and NILLO were serving us yesterday and they were very happy and joyful. Felt happy seeing them as they were showing professionalism and hats off to Mr Srinivasan management.
Jignesh
Went there with expectations of some authentic south indian cuisine, but turned out the other way.
Service & staff are good. Starters were great especially curd atom bomb and soup. However not many options for main course considering the price of the sunday brunch. Paneer was missing from paneer butter masala and kofta was missing from kofta curry.
Selection of deserts was average.
Prema A
Pathetic service. The waiter makes gestures if we ask for some starter repeat. Food taste is decent but staff service makes it ugly. Go if you don't care staff or make sure you are all guys. 😅
Chethan SP
Good place to hangout and variety of foods in the buffet.
But I dint like the service in the restaurant. They started serving after 15 minutes and all items are very late . It took almost two hours for us to finish the food. Very late service. We asked for chapati and appam but it came after 40 minutes by that time we had already paid the bill. Though place and food is good , the worst service of the restaurant made me not to visit again to this restaurant.

Very nice place for dining....... I visited this place many times, I enjoyed all the times. Service staffs are very helpful. I suggest everyone to visit this restaurant for your delicious dining. I suggest management to maintain the same.

The best place in bangalore to experience cuisine from all four states of South India. Starter are very tasty crispy corn, veg cutlet, French fries and grilled baby corn, non veg taste was super I must like seekh kabab and podi prawns.
Food was delicious service was excellent .
We will visit again this place.
Food: Starters and main course were simply perfect in all aspects, whereas in terms of desserts there is a lot of improvement needed both in quality and taste.

Ambiance: It has both indoor and outdoor seating - we can choose our preferred mode. Both are blissful.

Service: The service team is sooo supportive that you cannot look down for anything.

Once the desserts are boosted, this place is gonna top the ratings! I'm sure!

We had wonderfull dinner night at bonsouth actually that elaneer payasam was good and starters we're awesome...
Especially that boneless chicken was tastier...

A team dinner turned disappointing. We were all as usual excited about a team dinner and was all discussing about the food.Outside we saw lot of accolades posted from different food marketers making us all dream of some really lip smacking food. It was a weekday and so not much crowd was there, thanks to the service team we were greeted welcomed and shown our seats, served welcome drink. Till here the team excitement was really high. Food started coming in, one by one ...starters were mostly cold and not something to crave for a second time . The corn fritters, Sabu Dhana vada ad banana dosa were only the good ones. The chicken,Fish and prawns were just ok. Vegetarians didn’t have any great dishes on their plate . The paneer was undercooked, and not really anything much to describe. After a tiring day all we’re looking forward to a good main course. The buffet counter looked great with a wide variety but to be honest the food was extremely cold and tasted not to fresh. The curd rice was also bad. The vegetarians preferred to eat the fruits and the ice cream and skip main course. Deserts were average.
The ambiance of the place s warm and service is good but request to take care that weekend or weekday the quality of food remains same

That was a good afternoon wanted to enjoy some fusion south food and then headed to this place and I tried a buffet here

Place is quiet good ,
I was served with a chatpata ice cream called ATOMBOMB. It was quiet good

Then was served with some good starters ,

Paneer barbeque, crispy corn kernels, etc,

I don't want to drag here .. the main course Wer really not a happening food here , biryani was pale , curries Wer also just ok ok

I go with 2 stars

We went there last week with my Colleague. i don't want to say anything about service as service was excellent.. But food was also good. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet spread. Only suggestion is to improve the quality and spread of the desserts.

Visited this place on a Friday evening and met the Manager - Mr. Srinivasan, who extended a warm welcome and put forth his deputy Mr. Raj to take care of the table. The two of them did a splendid job in extending hospitality and wonderful service.
The starters were good with good variety and so was the main course. Though the desserts need a revamp, we left extremely impressed purely with the service rendered. We will visit again but only as and when Mr. Srinivasan is around.

Heard about this place located in koramangala, famous for its South Indian buffet. High on anticipation, visited it on a Sunday evening. The experience was underwhelming.
The place was sparsely crowded for a Sunday. I came at 8pm and left at 10pm, only three other tables were occupied in this duration. This in koramangala isn't something common for a good restaurant. The interior was bland and banal and one should not expect a fine dining experience.

The food was good in bits and pieces. I really liked the king fish starter, wrapped in leafs, it tasted authentic. The veg cutlet was also good. Baby corn was too spicy for my palate. The paneer was rubbery, the chicken wing was dry.

The served a kind of banana ice cream with some namkeen along with starter, which was good.

Coming to the main course, I was asked by the manager to try the fish curry, which was delicately spiced but there were tiny bones making it impossible to eat at one go. The mutton masala was okayish. Didn't taste the vegetarian stuff as there was not much variety.

The dessert options were scanty. The angoori gulab jamun was the standout, the payasam was also refreshing.

The service was prompt, probably because of the less crowd. The manager was courteous enough to come for regular feedback

Ambience-2/5
Service-4/5
Food-2/5
Value for money-4/5

Would I visit again, probably not as I feel they are better Kerala food options available in the vicinity at similar price points.

Really overrated place. Not sure why it has so many 5*, 4* ratings. I typically don't write reviews but hated the lunch buffet so much, I had to write it.

Only positive thing is probably starters. They serve starter on table. They had like some 10 types of starters, most of them were very average in taste. Only fried prawn, boneless chicken and puddu were good. Boneless chicken was really yummy.

Main course and dessert sections were quite bad in my opinion. Not many items. In main course, I tried chicken biryani, alleppey fish curry, mutton curry with appam. Very average taste. One would get better curries in a roadside restaurant.

Not many items in dessert section. Had strawberry icecream, double meetha, mango gudbud, payasam. Nothing to rave about. All average in taste.

Had gone with very high expectations. A massive let down.

Not worth the money:
I felt every penny I spent is absolutely waste.
It's absolutely waste for Vegetarians and Non South Indians.
If one worries about hygiene it's a must no option.

Food review:

Pros:

Starters and Deserts are average.

Cons:
We ordered Podi dosa one came over roasted another came undercooked
Podi idly also very bland.
Ambiance is utterly bad.
We had visited Bonsouth last month for the second time. What I love is the hospitality of the people there. They really make you feel welcomed.

Food was good..
Dessert section needs definite improvement. Lacks variety and assortment.

Rating 5star purely on the hospitality and courteousness of the staffs there.

Never again.
Came here from the other end of town hearing about the famous bonsouth.
Hearing that we had dineout coupons we were seated to noservice zone. After which all requests for a refill of starters fell on deaf ears. Out of 40mins we were there 30minutes were spent awaiting something to be served. Very poor.
Most dishes on the dessert counter were empty.

However the taste of whatever served was good n worth remembering this place for. But not the service n attitude nor the ambience.

Fine place for a south Indian buffet. The veg and non veg starters were great. Among the main course the biriyani was really good. Dessert options were few. Coconut payassam was good.

Unbelievably dirty restrooms worse than public toilets reminded me of smelly toilets in the railways. I hear toilets are cleaner in the railways today. They served really stale and smelly idlis. Not worth the price. For a fraction of the cost, one can eat at a darshini and get fresh food.
It used to be a good place, not anymore. Avoid until they clean it up.

Bon South!
I remember this name by heart. I am in Bangalore for a decade now, have visited many places but this being the first non-veg restaurant that made me happy. I am a turned vegetarian due to an allergy with egg. I had lunch at other places but always has got stomach-ache and a known fact that they either use same utensils where they used eggs, or use egg-sauce etc. I had lunch here and I did not get any pain. I loved this place and visited at least 3 times.

The ice-gola is one the best thing which I liked, which is not available quite easily in any lunch buffet. All the starters and main course food are good.
I wish to visit the place any time soon.

Bonsouth was good once upon a time. But now they need to work a lot on the quality of food. Non of the starters we're good except for prawns and crispy corn, very limited main course except for fish molee nothing was good. Food is not worth the money. Ambience was not bad. Order taker was good. No point in having good order takers ultimately the food has to be good for the customers to come in.

Could have included more deserts and main course options. The starters were delicious though. The ambience is also worth mentioning. Located in one of the busiest lane of koramangala, but they do provide vallet parking.

Tried this place for the first time recently. Not a fan of the seating. Buffet price is reasonable though it didn't impress me much. The prawns among the starters were good. Nothing much to say about the rest of the food or desserts. Service was good. Not a must visit place.

Great place for buffet, every thing tastes home cooked, not overly spicy or oily.

Very friendly and courteous staff.

Loved the steamed Andhra fish.

We’ve been here on new year eve. The buffet price was economical and have wide varieties of starters, main course and desserts. The starters were so much which made us so full and we couldn’t move to main course. However, we did taste their biriyani, prawn manchurian, and fish gravy. I loved their fish gravy. Coming to starters, I loved their golden prawn fry and fish. Their chicken starters failed to impress me. Their podi idly was too good. Overall it was a good experience. The one minus point I would say is their ambience. Their seating arrangement were so congested and the tables were so close to each other. Thus, we didn’t have privacy.

I've been to Bonsouth with family on multiple occasions for both lunch and dinner buffet and have had a great experience dining there. The food variety is very good and the customer service is excellent. The sea food variety is very good and should be tried, if your dining there. Overall a very nice experience.

We were once regulars to this place but went recently after an year or so. The barbeque carnival wasn't appealing! Every single dish on the veg main course tasted alike except for the stew which was bland and less of veggies. My hubby mentioned that the meat wasn't fresh at all.

I really liked their South Indian show with podi idly, mini pizza, paniyaram, etc. Hope they bring back the same menu and add some distinct flavours in the main course.

Nothing about Bonsouth disappoints me!
The food is amazing and has been amazing in all my visits. One can come here with anyone and have a fabulous time.
The place has a good ambiance.
The staff are knowledgeable and also the service is very efficient. I like this place.
PS: don't miss their food festivals.

We visited this restaurant yesterday. They said barbeque fest is going on, but there were not much barbeque items served. We could hardly find very less south items there. Most of them were north indian and Chinese. Staff was very friendly. Food is average, cleanliness of restaurant is also average. Nothing exceptional, Normal dinner buffet as any other restaurant.
The Coffee Addict
Went last night for their barbecue themed buffet. I have been here several times and find the ambience nice especially when it is lit up at night beyond the buffet section.
The starters were nice especially the fish and the adivasi chicken.
The chicken biryani was terrific and the mutton rogan gosh was really well done. Desserts were good and their elaneer payasam and freshly made jamoons being the best. Usage of plastic cups for the payasam is a disappointment though.
Service is excellent and the price was reasonable at about 1000 per head.

Over rated.
Had been in for the dinner buffet.
Friendly staff, with valet parking available.
Starters were just alright, too many fried options, where as they had a grill/BBQ going on. Only good starter was the fish fry.
Main course was too bland, goan fish curry was not that great. Egg gravy had been on the heat for too long, so it was over cooked.
Desserts so so.
On the whole for 850 bucks, nothing to go crazy about.
This is my most favorite south indian restaurant for lunch and dinner in Bangalore. Food is amazing. Staff is friendly. Service is little slow. Everything else is just superb.

I had buffet dinner at Bonsouth. Non veg food was so delicious. Try their Crispy prawns, steamed fish, boneless chicken starter. All were perfectly cooked. They charged 830 + tax for non veg. As per variety of dishes, I found cost at bit higher side but taste was so good.

Being in Bangalore I have eaten at so many darshini's, many are good but the experience at Bonsouth is so different!!
Once you eat the buffet you may not think twice to come here and eat again, take it from me.

This is surely a must visit place.

The feel you get right from the start , the entry of this place, is where the first connect happens!
The atmosphere drives you in for food!
The food from starters to main course and dessert is such a treat to your taste buds, I have taken so many people and all of them have loved the food.
Enjoy everything!!!

Bonsouth,
Amazing place to have brunch on Sunday. I visited it last week with my wife and we both loved the ambience and the welcoming environment :).

We tried their starters. It was good enough for both of us and we loved the food and the place.

Been here with colleagues for dinner, can't remember last time I had such heavy dinner. There were so many dishes, my god, I did try most of them and liked them too..
The staff is polite and proactive. The desserts deserve a special mention, loved it!!

Would love to come back !!
Food - 8.5 / 10
Service - 8 / 10
Ambience - 8.5 / 10

We had team lunch as year-end party. We are around 60 people. I don't think they have capacity to accept such orders.
Staff is courteous and welcoming.
Service is very slow - pathetic. There is no proper management for serving dishes in time, ensuring taste and timely response to customer requests. Some of the dishes were not served at all. Ice cream was not tight, even it was not available to all. Some of them complained that food was not cooked properly.
Overall there is a great gap for the management to improve.

Chicken was kinda stinky.
Non-veg was not good.
Veg was okay not that good.
Need to improve the non-veg taste.
Didn’t like the brunch.
Not so good.

Visited this place months back for a friend’s birthday treat. And I don’t like south Indian dishes of most places and had the same preconception for here, but no! This place is a must if you wish to have south Indian dishes.

The ambience was comfortable! The service was very friendly. As I come to the food, I'll say I was content.
Will love to come back sometime soon...
