Review Punjabi By Nature Express - Bengaluru

Azad Krishna Tripathi
I tried chhole bhature here. The taste was really good. One big bhatura, gives a different feel..
Sociobuddy Entertainment
Ambiance isn't that great. And the serving is lazy. You need to keep reminding them about your order, even if they just a cold drink that they only need to take out from the freezer. And mostly they don't listen properly when you ask something. Food is kinda good. Though I just had a Raj kachori, and Choley Bhature... Raj kachori wasn't that great. But latter one was good.
Joel O
Food was ok and the combo was really filling.

After dumping the food from Bao & Grill (really bad), went to Punjabi by Nature Express and got the veg thali. Whatever it was, it tasted much better than the other thing. All Food Courts are a ripoff - stick with the known chains like KFC or Burger King or ...

Loved the channa bhatura here. The service was mediocre and it was a food court seating. The other items displayed dint seem fresh, but you can be satisfied with a bhatura per person.

I tried chhole bhature here. The taste was really good. One big bhatura, gives a different feel.
Rest, there are many combos to try from. One combo is more than enough for an single person..
Debashis Senapati
Average outlet serving average food. Food is ok but over priced because it is inside a mall. There is no ambience as such because it is located in the busy food court of the Phoenix mall.

Verdict : skip this one.

This is the 3rd time I ordered value meal combo-5.....it's always been a great experience here....anyone craving for authentic North Indian taste while shopping in phoenix...can satiate his/her crave here....
Gautam Iyer
One of the descent Punjabi joints in Phoenix market city. The Chole Bature was good but they are a bit slow in serving. You need to be patient during weekends.
Puneet Suri
Located in the food court of Phoenix Market this, this is probably the only option you have for Punjabi food. Once you find a table, stick to the basics to avoid being disappointed. Channa Bhatura, tandoori chicken , dal roti etc.

If you are looking for more, try the Indian restaurant elsewhere in the mall.
Dishari Chattaraj
Ordered mutton biriyani and aam Panna. They charged a lot citing GST as the reason. The biriyani was okay, the mutton was well cooked but the amount was very very less. The aam Panna was simply green coloured sugar syrup.
One can do better than this.
Vishal Choudhary
A big meal with lots of options for a food court its ok ..
Found it very average.. but not the worst too u can try if you are hungry..........

I wish there was an option to give negative rating, I would have gone for that. My wife and me decided to have a quick lunch there and it proved to be a complete rip off. The Tandoori chicken was stinking horrendously as it was stale, I wonder if BBMP have ever done a check over here. Some one might die of food poisoning. After my wife brought it to the notice of the staff there, they were absolutely clueless and did not even attempt to help us out.

I never expected this from a small franchise of Punjabi by nature atleast. We ordered a combo veg and non veg. It was like shit. A tomato kinda chutney and in that one piece of chicken and in the veg two pieces of paneer. If it had good taste I wouldn't have given this bad rating. Wasn't worth the price that we gave for eating it. Had to eat it properly as I do t like wasting food

The lesser said, the wiser. So here goes:
Veg Kathi Roll - Bland, tiny and ridiculously expensive.
Mutton Biryani - Bland, tiny portion and ridiculously expensive.
Egg Curry & Rice - Bland, tiny portion and ridiculously expensive.
Perhaps they rather stick with their restaurants.

If you would still brave it to eat there, don't miss the attitude of the staff. Textbook arrogant dolts.
Smruti Ranjan Mahunta
It's really bad experience for me. 1St time when I see the name "Punjabi by nature" it attract me. So when I order non veg meal ,215 rs plate but the test off food is not that much of good.. It's very disappointed for me & my friend...
Monika Sharma
The name catched my attention since I wanted to eat the real Punjabi chole bhature.Gave it a try but was not very happy with the taste. It fills your tummy completely but doesn't satisfy your cravings for the authentic taste.
Anush Makam
Worst experience i ever had.
Ordered for mutton biryani and got a single piece with 80% bone.
Got to know from manager that it is their norm to give just one piece with bone.
Spoiling the name of Punjabi by Nature and Bangalore.
Ankit Kumar
Welcome to the place where they call dead rubber mixed with smelly garbage, food. If only they knew that this world does not need more means of killing innocent people like us. Thanks for orange goo and yellow piss you called combo meal 3.

•207

Ambiance: As this outlet is a kiosk in the phoenix mall food court, nothing special to mention about the ambiance. All the outlets here have common dine in space.

Food: I ordered value combo 6. It had Dahi Kebab, Paneer Makhani, Dal Makhani, Rice, Naan, Gulab Jamun, Raitha and Pappad.
Dahi Kebab - The star of the show. It was so soft, creamy, juicy, tender and tasty that I just forgot the world while having it. It was extremely outstanding in taste.
Paneer Makhani & Dal Makhani - Both the dishes were delicious with their extremely makhani taste.
Rice, Naan, Raitha and Pappad - All were good in taste as it should be. Went well with the gravies.
Gulab Jamun - Again one of super tasty dish. It just melted in the mouth. Yummy!!

Service: Service was pleasing and I got my order delivered in about 10 mins. The food was served piping hot and fresh.

Overall: I just fell in love with this place. Will definitely visit this place during my next visit to Phoenix mall.
Mk
The food was good!!

It's one of the counters were u get punjabi food...

The kebabs included in the combos are tasty 😋

Can visit once if u r up for lunch or dinner
Preeti Singh
Do not be there with your expectations high...we tried a thali and it was good enough to fulfill you but not great enough so as to be remembered.

Punjabi By nature? Oh really? Let's see how punjabi they are was the very first thought that came up in my mind. After hours of roaming and shopping with girls(Girls can take approx 60 min in one shop)i was tired and my belly was craving for some flavoursome hardcore meal i ended up here.

Obviously the word *Punjabi* amuses me as i am one myself. So went there and had a look at their menu!
I was elevated to heaven once i saw chole bhature and dal makhni there(Balle Balle) so finally ordered both the Veg thalli and Cholle Bhature.
Its really hard to grab a seat in Phoenix food court on a weekend but by hook or crook we managed to grab a table and were waiting for order number to show up on the screen.

Our number flashed and we ran to get the food.Grabbed the plates and we were ready to turn phoenix into a grub hub(Haha)

Now Lets save everybody's time and cut short the chase and review the food.

Cholle Bhature-Now the cholle Bhature looked nice,There was one big bhatura opposed to stereotype 2 bhatura's but it was kinda large but not enough for punjabi appetite.Cholle/Chane whatever you call it had a good flavour but i feel the quantity was very less(Punjabi's eat that much just for the taste)
Overall for 150 bucks i wish it could be better.
Overall Chole Bhature 3/5

Orderd the Veg thalli
I had high hopes from the thalli but was let down.
Kadhai panner tasted more like a cousin of chilly paneer(Chinese Style)The Dahi kebabs were horrible did not taste fresh at all.The only thing saving their@ grace was Dal makhni it tasted good.
The breads were cold and it kills the mood.
For me personally the thalli was a disaster,Won't buy it again.

Service time is fine,Don't Expect ambiance as its a food court. For me personally the food is average and nothing really great or in other words something that will bring me back to this specific outlet.

Debahuti
Ordered Chole Bhature, nothing special about it.
But the food card system is horrible. We have to actually calculate how much we are supposed to spend and then put the amount in the food card. The excess amount in the card is not refundable.
RJ Heart N Soul (rjheartnsoul.com)
We were a bunch of us craving for some good food after watching a movie at PVR.

Since the food court has many choices, each of us went our way and one of the dishes landed up at our table was Chole Bhatura from this place. The order did time take to be served as it was rush hour at 9 pm on a Friday.
But the bhatura was made perfectly and in combination with the Chole it was a satisfactory meal.

They have many other options such as non veg combos etc and I am glad to notice that this outlet preserves the name of their main restaurant when it comes to serving tasty and good quality food.
Ajay Singh
The excitement faded away as I picked my meal from the counter. The presentation was appalling, and the tray felt unhygienic. The crumbs from the dry bread were mixed with dessert bowl. It was nothing near to my previous PBN - Express experiences.
Food lacked taste, dhal makhani was nothing but cream. Very disappointed.
Pankhuri Dhingra (FoodTravelPedia)
This is one of the shops in the food court of phoenix marketcity, I tried the veg combo it consists of dal makhani which was ok, paneer was not gud and roti was ok.
Manali Sinha
This is one of the stops for eating when my shopping spree gets over at Phoenix Market City.It is present in one corner of the food court and offers different kinds of combo meals.I've tried the non veg combo meals. There are variations in the non veg combo meals.Cost is slightly more.Sometimes they take more time to give your order.
Navneet Kaur
This is our favorite pit stop when hunger pangs strike and interrupt our shopping spree in Phoenix market city! We have tried other options too in the clamorous food court, but somehow did not find them either value for money or satisfactory in terms of taste and quality. PBN on the other hand has never disappointed us; we usually pick one of their non veg meals which turn out to be satisfactory always.
Rohit Singh
It's a nightmare disappointing tried a veg combo with dahi ke kebab and kadai panner. Dahi ke kebab was the worst till I ever had. It taste full of some flour and some preservatives. When I complained the manager about it he said its our signature dish he tasted that and his other staff, the staff agreed that it taste different but manager said its signature dish and it is supposed to taste as it is.
If signature dish is this shitty guys you can imagine what would be the rest.
Avoid this place as they serve shitty food and are rude also.
Shubham Vats
Tried their Nin Veg Combo one which had one chicken gravy (with only one piece chicken) , two small chicken tikkas, 1 normal naan, small quantity of rice, daal and gulab jamun @ 259 (including of tax). I would athey didn't impress me... Neither with the quality nor with the quantity....
Samir Acharya
An express counter of Punjabi By Nature in the food court of Phoenix Mall. Good to have some quick combos here. However, don't find the taste as great as in the main restaurants. Prefer their rolls and Chole Batore here.
Raju (Sanjiv Verma)
Very disappointing - I ordered a non-veg platter which had murgh makhani, murgh malai tikka, naan, rice raita dal makhani, gulab jamun, salad, pickle, one farm house, round trip to London, one island in Bahamas but not even a single thing tasted well. The murgh makahni (butter chicken) was sweeter than the gulab jamun. Murgh malai was undercooked. rice was too plain with less salt. Dal makhani was OK. I ate everything with that daal, which was not more than two big spoons . These guys shouldnt use Punjabi in their name. They are spoiling the image of one of the best Food preparations that exist. Owners/Managers try to work hard when you use such a huge name. You represent a complete type of food, and the food that you serve is no where close to what a real Punjabi food tastes like.
Ýögãjøthï Kumaravel
The rating of 3 is not for the food exactly. As the original Punjabi by nature serves much more delicious food. But the rating is for the quantity and quality in serving the unlimited crowd who come to the phoenix mall.

Food: 2.5
Ambience: 2.5
Pricing: 3.5
Srinivas Bellamkonda
After expecting so much from this place, we tried rajma chawal, paneer tikka, chole bature, North Indian combo. Must say that disoppointed with almost everything. Rajma is just a masala juice with rajma sprinkled on it. No second visit for sure.
Supriyo Dey
Housed at the food court of Phoenix Mall, this food joint has never disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food it serves. We have tried all the combo meals, none of them has disappointed ever. It's a true value for money joint which serves fresh food at an affordable rate. Highly recommended.
Jeevan Vijay
Had been once. Worst experience. Tried the combo meals and didn't like it a bit. Very expensive. Not worth it. Trust me, myself and my brothers didn't feel good the rest of the day.
Paul J
I tried my best to accept the food and the service. Any self respecting individual will find it very challenging to accept what these people do in the name of hospitality. In short: The so called food was pathetic, nothing absolutely nothing was worth your time / money or the effort put in to just to eat that s**t (pardon me). To top it off, the manager cum cashier's attitude towards such service and absurdly priced food (Its an insult to that word) was as if he was doing charity. We tried most of the things on the menu, ended up wasting a lot of money and when we urged to discuss the pathetic quality with the manager. He couldn't get more arrogant than what he got. This is an absolute pity that PBN is going about their business this way. To summarize: Any self respecting human wouldn't eat there.
Pranav Ved
Pretty lovely place.. quality if food is very good.. probably one of the better places at pheonix to have punjabi cuisine... decent pricing compared to other stores in the food court..
Rashmi/ RB
The Punjabi by Nature (PBN) outlets are known for high-end dining, serving quality North Indian food, with great service, but at a premium rate. This is an express counter of PBN setup in the food court of the Phoenix Mall. To describe the experience in single word, I'd say - disappointing.

There are veg and non-veg meal combo options, samosa, channa batura et all to choose from. The pricing is almost equal to the usual mid ranged restaurants, but the food quality is terrible, with the exception of channa batura, which is large and satiating atleast. The meal combos either have no taste or too spicy, rice usually undercooked, rice item usually means plain rice, and the curries are oddly dark brown in Color most of the times. The guy at the counter seems annoyed, every time I have visited. I agree getting through the busy weekends in a mall can be gruelling, but he can't get away with this attitude. Pricing is no better either.

Avoid this if you can, unless you would want to try the channa batura.
Varun Nagrath
looking at their sumptuous meal combos, we also thought of giving it a try. We took a combo consisting of Kadai paneer, daal makhani, dahi kebab, curd, gulabjamun, rice, naan and papad. Daal makhani was really good but was less in quantity than the Paneer. Paneer tasted a bit like it was spoiled and the dahi kebabs were a bit sour too and there was no chutney to accompany it. Rice, naan and curd raita was good. In the name of gulabjamun they give a very tinny little piece, though it tasted good. Overall it was kinda average. And the food was a bit spicy.
So for,
Food - 3
VFM - 3.5
Service - 3.5
Abhinav Kohli
Ordered food at the counter. Service is average. The food was alright but cold by the time it got served to us. I would suggest that if u want some Indian food, this is a good cheap option as there are several combos.
Samudra Nia Das
Read the review that they charge 150 for a bottle of water above mrp which is illegal. Read the same at logical Indian. They also delete reviews which shows how unethical they are. Sums up the reasons for such poor reviews all around
Mithlesh Kaushik
Tried this express service , took veg combo , having 2 curries , nan , rice , sweet and curd.

paneer and dal taste was good and fresh. gulab jamun and kabab were hot and tasty. can be tried once in a while.

as we can only discuss about food here , since there is no extra service offered by this outlet. i think the tax was lil too much
Rohan Vijay
Quality should be increased! Food is not worth.
Less quantity and high price.
Chole bhature is good.
Shud not opt for meal. Its not worth it
Sachin Dhir
Place where I had bhature chane, first time ever in bangalore. Really nice dishes but little expensive. :)
Saimendra Pratap Singh
In taste we can say it is a bit punjabi actually spicy. But overpriced and not freshly prepared.
Its fine by taste and ambience but not justified by its cost.
Ajeesh Pu
They offer you happy hours but swindle you. Just happened to us today .. Don't get into it when the waiter tells you its 7:45 and it will end by 8:00. Dont do them a favour by ordering more. For cheating I wish zomato had 0
Gurleen Kaur
I personally like the food here. The non veg combos are quite a good deal, serving a variety of starters, main course and dessert. One of the best and economical food joints in phoenix food court, I would say!
Rajdip Sura
I had chole bature here. Nothing special about it. I found this place over priced and the quantity is also very less. The bature were very oily.
Mk
Yummy food, loved the chicken curry and Dahi ke kabab. Naans are soft and yummy. PBN express at Phoenix market city is way better than the one at Orion mall.
Surya Bose
A very mediocre place with cost as good as popular big hotels.
The non veg thali was not worth at all.
All options looked boring and if you see the amount of money you are paying you can enjoy a much better meal in a much better restaurant
Sampat Bhansali
I recently moved to Bangalore from Mumbai and put up in North Bangalore (Jakkur Area). The most I miss here is Punjabi cuisine, so when in the Phoenix Market City, Whitefield I wanted to have Punjabi food. I ordered paneer kadai, tandoori roti. The food was priced reasonable, but was very spicy (I do eat spicy food) and tasteless. I also ordered samosa pav which was decent in taste.
Rickey
Happened to order non veg combo from
This place .. Comin to details of
Combo..
They serve roti, rice, chicken curry, tandoori chicken.. Half piece.. Raita, gulag jamoon .. Salad ..
Drinks not included with it so had to order separate .. Details .. De chicken curry tasted horrible ..gravy was bad .. Soft meat nevertheless .. Regarding tandoori chicken . It was juz too bland n dry.. De rotti was cooked well n soft n good ... Gulab Jamoon was soft n Yum too.. All in all a fillin meal but totally not worth it .. Wud never go here again .. 🙏🏻
Arobindo Gupta
I had combo 2 and combo 4.
Combo 2 was supposed to be mutton, kebab, etc. Got only bones in gravy.
combo 4, two pieces of paneer. Tasting awfull. Also the naan was crispy as a papad and the papad was like a roti. Will never go there or recommend the place.
Abani Sahoo
Service is bit slow, Thalis are good and value for money , best item was Punjabi Chole Bhature and their butter milk. Overall decent food taste, not much costly.
Vikram B
Excellent ambiance overall, food was good except for the galouti kabab which was so spicy we could not eat 2 out of 10. Beer from their brewery was good.
Divya Preet
Taste is not worth. Went for a combo meal... Curry was tasteless and everything was cold and dry.... ....Will not eat again from this counter.
Tindipoti
This is one of the worst places in Phoenix mall.
Had ordered a Veg combo Thali which turned out to be a disaster.
2 rings of onions does not qualify as salad and plain rice can't be a rice item when you would expect it to be some bath or biryani or such.
We went back to them saying food is terrible and he was outright rude saying we can just leave it if we don't wanna eat.
Wasn't ready to refund as well.
After fighting for some 20 min he finally accepted to give a veg biryani which was again below average.
Never eating at this place again.
Eshwarya Agarwal
I like the thali that they have. Have tried both veg and non veg here. The butter chicken is good and so is the dahi kabab. The service is a bit slow especially on weekends when the food court is busy. The breads can be much better.
Overall taste decent and is a value for money.
Maninder Pal Singh
Pathetic experience of eating out there. Food was tasteless, and useless. Buttermilk had jeera that was raw.

Haven't had dahi ke kabab colder and worse than the ones served.

Wish had never gone there.
Ruche M Mittal
Being a north Indian what we crave for is a good kali dal and I love Kali dal and naan at punjabi by nature.. One of the best in bengaluru.. My husband enjoys beer from micro brewery here...
IRAM
The most tempting thing about this place was the Batura that they had put in display. It was massive! More over, it was soft and tasted good. The chole was a little tangy than normal though.
Tabish Akhter
Punjabi cuisine's chole bhatura had the biggest bhatura I had seen yet. Tasted good though with spicy chole. Prices are light too so it's not gonna make a hole in the pocket.
Mona Syed
I ordered combo 1. Dal makhani was not tasty. Chicken curry was good. Gulab Jamun was the best among all the items. Taste of the dishes can be improved.
Bithal Sahu
Was roaming and was feeling hungry, so ordered a Veg meal combo. The food isn't that great nor value for money. Also the quantity won't suffice. The service is also not quick.
Pranay
Very average food, this is an express outlet in food court - to expect more would be a mistake. The big drawback was the plastic plates used to serve the food - I thought carrying it all the way to the table would be tough !
I think they can atleast improve the quality of those plates !
Vikas Verma
It holds true to it's name. Punjabi by nature....but not by taste. :) There is nothing great about the food here. The cost is very high for the quantity which they serve. I have always found the chicken to be having the taste of frozen one. You can get better tasting chicken for half the price at Kabab Mandra which is adjacent to Phoenix mall. The Naan is either chewy or too crisp to even fail a papad.
Vishal.2.kumar
Visited this place yesterday.. we had chole bhature's and dahi ke kebab...chole bhature were okay....but cannot compare to ones served by Haldiram's in Delhi...dahi ke kebab were very average...green chutney with it was tasty though....
Lipin Murali
The Management at the Payment counter was Rude and the Food was old(Combo Pack 5) especially the green Kebabs they serve...was a bad experience overall..:|
Dhruv Singh
After eating too many variatiions of butter chicken made with south indian style At last found some good butter chicken in Bangalore , just loved it . Overall outlet is nice , service is quick nd the food is just the way we punjabis want .
Nusrat Bano
Ok ok food. Hmm usually pbn offers good food with high price. But this pbn express doesn't offer so good food. Dahl ke kebab is good. Otherwise very average place.
Radhika Shashank
Rating : 1.0. And if I could give a lower rating I would have.

First and foremost the food is no where close the the delicious food served at Punjabi by nature.

Secondly , when the management at the counter is rude and arrogant, then your appetite is reduced by 80%. So let me tell you my experience with the food and management there. I went to PHoenix yesterday. I specifically asked Mr. Nilesh ( the cashier) that "Does ANYTHING in the chicken roll contains egg?".( I am allergic to egg and I mentioned that too) ?He very confidently said "No" and took my order.

After waiting for 15 min I got my chicken roll, which was COLD and filled with mostly Cabbage. I couldn't see a single piece of chicken! I anyway took a bite hoping to find the chicken hiding somewhere inside. In my first bite itself I tasted Mayo. Now Mayo in most cases contains egg so I rushed to the counter and asked Mr Nilesh "This roll has Mayo and Mayo contains egg generally, Please confirm with your Chef if it has Egg or not. I am allergic and cant have anything with egg" ( I repeated my allergy situation).

He told me (in full confidence) 3 times " I am telling you that Mayo does not contain egg" . As this was a medical issue I pushed him to ask the chef. As I was not ready to leave till he asked the chef he went inside to confirm. The chef then mentioned that "Yes, Mayo has egg" .

Now, it just dint end there. He came out and yelled at me that "You should have told me that you don't want Mayo! how am I suppose to know what we need to add or not. I told you we don't put egg in the roll." As if I am a regular diner at PBX and was suppose to know what they put in the chicken tikka roll . Shocked by his defensive behavior and reaction I told him to just cancel the order. Even after insisting he did not cancel my order and said " I wont cancel the order, I will get you one without the Mayo" (Still blabbering something in his mouth).

My appetite was dead by this time. My friend got that roll later and we simply threw it in the dustbin .

So basically this is a place that not only serves bad food but also kills your appetite . So if you are dieting or want to waste your money you can visit this place, Special thanks to Mr Nilesh for this experience!
The_Foodie
Guys who have had or will have food here- do not mistake this to be the food representing North Indian punjabi food. The food here is not that tasty and is bland. It does not even represent the food served by punjabi by nature in Delhi.

This place could really do better if they improve the taste to represent North Indian food.
Krishna Rao
Yesterday been to phoenix mall for bite, was literally dam hungry ,after couple of rounds in food court finally decided on PBN ordered chicken biryani and veg and non-veg combo......this is the pathetic food we ever had in entire bangalore,........
Piyush Mathur
Well, combos are worth buying. Most value for money Indian outlet in Phoenix market city. I wish they can work on the quality of their naan a bit. Rest all is good.
Satvik
Biggest positive: Quantity is huge, Authentic north Indian food taste.
Negative: Its in the food court, so may seem expensive.
Recommended dish: Butter naan with malai paneer.

Located in the food court of Orion mall. Service is decent.
The food is really tasty. For those who have been to the Punjabi by nature restaurant it may not match the restaurant taste but comes close to it. The quantity is very good.
Don't go here looking for a quick bite like at most of the food court stalls. Its for a proper, full meal. And the price isn't going to be very cheap, but is definitely worth it. It isn't as expensive as the restaurant either, considering the ambience is very different.
In phoenix marketcity and looking for a full meal and taste, but don't mind it being in the food court, then this is a good option.
Raksha Kamat(rakshaskitchen.com)
This place is in a food court. We ordered some combos which we both dint like. Even the kebabs were not marinated properly. The food was bland abduction felt like they cooked just for the hecklers of it.
Definitely not worth the price.
Will never buy food from this place at the food court.
Aneesh Abraham Mathew
Never going to that one again. Ordered combo 1 and 3, I just felt my hostel mess was better. Nothing was good.not even rice or chicken. But jamun was ok.
Rishabh Malhotra
Visited this outlet in Phoenix Marketcity last weekend. We ordered Value Combo 4 and 5 both vegetarian.
The food was tasty and quantity in combos was good enough for 1 person to eat.
I have been a fan of Dahi kabab of Punjabi By Nature since long. Though they wont serve the same old super taste kababs like the one thy serve in Garuda Mall restaurant, still it was good having it in the combo.

Didnt like Gulaoti kabab much though, it was more like a normal Hara Bhara Kabab.

The paneer makhani was well prepared n so was the dal. Overall i liked the meal combo :-)
Preeti Gupta
Delicious North indian food like as always. The kebabs are also awesome, soft, juicy and melt in the mouth. Though the main course chicken I have tried here has never been cooked properly so may be you can give it a miss, if its not the roasted ones that you are opting for.
Shubham Shekhar
This place is doesn't deserve the brand name of Punjabi By Nature ,this Express outlet doesn't deserve even half the ratings that Punjabi By Nature has .Its better to avoid this Express outlet.
Pulkit Goenka
Not too much to talk about this place. Definitely try the chole bhature. They serve good north indian food considering the other options at the food court.
Ayushi Singhania
This place is actually spoiling the name of Punjabi By Nature.
The quality and quantity given is pathetic.
The food tastes like some ordinary restro food.
The much talked about retro when people ask where to have north Indian.
That mind itself Punjabi by nature strikes.
But the place is not worth going.
The combo they are literally not worth spending.
And the quantity given is not at ol sufficient for even one person.
Mashood Abdulla
They have got good variety non veg talis'.

If you are looking for decent place within Phoenix market city for lunch/dinner PBN express is the place.
Vishal Agrawal
I ordered for a veg biryani with the real punjabi by nature biryani taste in mind. I could see the biryani being cooked. They took some colored rice from the fridge, put it in a microwave and mixed them up with the pan cooked veggies and served. It got cold in a minute. I felt cheated! Quantity and taste is fine.
Akash Agrawal
This is not at all comparable to the original "Punjabi By Nature". Located in the food court of Phoenix Mall. They have all these combo packs that you can order. Surely a huge let down with the amount you spend. Not recommended.
Sanjay Lewis
My earlier visits to this authentic North Indian eatery were mixed. But this time it was a team lunch and of course we went in for the bouffe. The veg and non-veg costed around 650/-. The chaats and the starters were really good and so was the main course. Food spread was limited, fresh and delicious. Deserts were good. The entire team had a good time.
Sayantika Bhattacharya
A very average place. But if you happen to be in the phoenix food court and want to grab some north Indian food with but with less spice and grease this is the place to be. Their chaats are tasty but very overpriced. Had rajma chawal once which was yum and some of their non veg combos which were quite average but good to go.
Dinesh
I don't prefer this counter again. For the Money spent not a worthy food... My Friend who had a combo was not happy with the food... Lucky i chosen not to have food on that day :-) .. But i have tasted the food.. Curry tastes okie, but sides are not that good...

Having read very mixed reviews on this place, I wasn't gung ho about trying it but we ended up doing so as we wanted to eat some North Indian Khana.

To begin with the gentleman who runs the place is quite an aggressive character and that sort of puts you off a bit. Even if that is ignored the fact that at 1 pm none of the combos (pictures displayed a plenty) were packed and displayed for the discerning diner speaks volumes about the attitude of the outlet.

Another irksome fact is that the prices displayed are exclusive of taxes and when you finally receive your bill there is a good 40 bucks or more difference between what you were expecting to pay and what you actually do.

All that being said the food is really tasty, wholesome and sufficient in quantity which is a relief because after braving through the above mentioned irritants if the food was not good enough it would have been the proverbial last straw that broke the camel's back.

We ordered the Non Veg Platter and every single meat item was delicious as was the Dal Makhni. The Naan was average though. Definitely Value for Money if you can tolerate all the other stuff.

Cheers,

*Punjabi by Nature, maybe but definitely not by spirit ! *

Disclaimer : By spirit I did not mean alcohol or its derivatives.

Its located in a corner of the food court of the well spaced Phoenix Market-city mall. The counter looks good and the menu is well spread on the walls like it is done for other stalls too.

The lighting and the air-conditioning is good, but you have to really fight for chairs there.

After having a good peep at what others were ordering, I finally ordered A veg Combo thaali which was supposed to be for Rs.166 but I ended up paying Rs.200. Taxes take all the blame for that. The food doesn't even look close to what they display on the menu. So its a sincere request either pull down those "mouth watering and expectation elevating" images and put some realistic pictures.

The food was good even though I had lost all my expectations after witnessing the light-years difference between the food pictures on the display menu and what I got. The tandoori roti was very good, for some reason they called it the naan. The Kadhaai Panneer was flavorful and the quantity was enough to finish off the rice which came in the thaali.
The rice was plain Jeera rice which tasted fine but had no aroma. Dal Makhni was just for the namesake both literally and expression wise. Makhni dal is supposed to be more flavorful, buttery and NOT DAAL TADKA. The Dahi kebab was good and perhaps the only surprising element on my plate. Gulabjamun was fine. (Cant say anything bad against sweet)

The service was slow and it took them a good 20 minutes to get my order. Maybe it was lunch time. The guy handling cash counter had a persistent "Lena hai to Lo, warna futlo" attitude. He never cared to tell me why I was being levied with so much tax. The guy who served my plate was nice. He took heed to my request and got me some extra curry too.
Closing Comments : PBNE is still a better bet than other stalls in the food court.

This small outlet in the Phoenix food court serves you cold chewy breads (Naan) with bland and stale kebabs. Avoid it under all circumstances and go to PBN at Koramangala/Whitefield if you want to taste some lip-smacking Indian food.

This is not at all comparable to the original "Punjabi By Nature". I wonder why did they even open an outlet in the Phoenix Mall diluting their class. As opposed to their original counterpart, the food is average at it's best. To be honest, one of the dishes I ordered wasn't even fresh. Shocking as that may be, it's true.

Even the Chhole Bhatura we ordered seemed expensive because of it's quality. If you were to follow my recommendations, please avoid !

I have heard about this restaurant (the one in kormangala) many times and the outlet in phoenix was where I tried it out for first time. I wasn't disappointed considering that it wasn't the original restaurant. We had kebab platter and he served it with roti which was a bit cold too. But still I won't avoid this place. I have heard about dahi ke kebab, which is in my bucket list now.. This time I will try to catch the original place in kormangala.. Till then bye bye and eat well..

My friend told me that Punjabi by Nature is as good as BBQ!!
Only when i visited today, i understood that he said sarcastically!!

Food was bad and service worse!!
No sweets for those who finished late, Naan was served once we finished main course
For veg starters were less and for non veg fish was having a weird smell!!

Paneer and chicken are two virtual words, if you are trying to find them in gravy !!

Until you fight for jalebi they are only served cold and rarely!!

My opinion please save your money by excusing this restaurant !!

A Hindi Proverb best suits the Restaurant : "Unchi Dukkan Fikki Pakkwann"

Not so great...except for the Roti or Naan what ever was served, rest was not good. Rice was bland and half cooked. Dal Makhani was tasteless and with no salt. All in all a bad choice to hv lunch. I won't visit again. :(

Worst service and worst managment.
Red serving plates are dirty and there were left overs in it.when we asked him to change or at least clean the plate, they were showing bad attitude towards the customer by throwing the plates on the floor and talking rudely and no proper response.
I will not suggest any one to this place as there is no value for customer.
It's better if owner knows the bad experience of the customers.
