Review Chandrappa Hotel Restaurant - Bengaluru

Rahul Raju
I had an exceptional experience at Hotel Chandrappa in Mathikere, and I can confidently give it a five-star review. This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic non-vegetarian naati cuisine. The taste is truly unbeatable. The service at Hotel Chandrappa was incredibly pleasant, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. My personal favorites on the menu include the biryani, pepper chicken fry and garlic chicken fry, which were bursting with flavor. My friend, who enjoys pork dishes, swears by their pork fry. I've had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant multiple times, and it never disappoints. Hotel Chandrappa, with its long-standing history, has consistently delivered top-notch food that leaves customers like me with big smiles. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Bangalore, this is the place to go.

Ordered food from here for the first time. Tried the Chicken Biryani and Chicken Kebab. Flavorful and excellent biryani, accompaniments included rasam and egg gravy. Also good was the chicken kebab - well cooked and high on taste.

I have been a regular at this place especially for their pork pepper fry. I have introduced it to most of my close friends and they all swear by it now. Food is to die for and it has blown up recently cz of Kirpalaamana's review but it had always held its place in terms of quality of food. If someone enjoys pork and don't cook them at home. This is the place to be.

We went there for some traditional non veg dishes from Chennai and it was a surprise that everything we had tasted so perfect. It was like a home made food with delicious touch. We had Mutton biryani, mutton chops, pepper chicken, pudhina chicken and Parota there. Biryani and chicken recipes were awesome. And their rasam that they gave as compliment also tasted good. As we don't eat pork we didn't order any. But there comes a crowd for it. Service was very genuine. Wait time is 15 mins. It costed 1000 for all the above dishes for 4 people. Place is very limited but decent

It's much of a Military hotel with much of pork dishes which are famous. The mutton as well was flavoursome. The quantity is more and satisfying. The prices are quite high specially for Biriyani and few starters. But overall is a good place to grab some afternoon meals.
Shreyas Raikar
One of the best Nati style restaurant worthily called as one of the best in town ...be it chicken, mutton or pork coming back after 13 years delivering the same taste throughout generations of owners👍 and to top it off the Rasam at the end completing the wonderful experience ...very pocket friendly as well. Highly recommended for families as well.

Chandrappa Hotel is an absolute must-try! Their array of mutton and chicken appetizers tantalizes the taste buds, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. The meal reaches its zenith with their special rasam, rounding off the night perfectly. It’s a dining experience you shouldn’t miss.

Very Authentic Place for Nati Style Non Veg. Mostly busy during lunch hours. Small place but yet great taste. A must try is the chicken pepper fry ( Semi Gravy). They have dishes of Chicken, Mutton and Pork. Over all a best place for a tasty non veg cousins and pocket friendly as well. Please note Monday's are holidays

Pork pepper fry was mind blowing.. The biriyani & guntur chicken gravy was just ok. You can try this place for good pork dishes. The quantity served is less for the price you pay.

Best non veg food you'll ever get to eat. We tried the kheema balls and they were damn good. I would recommend trying kheema balls kebab, you'll love it. This place is worth trying, so go for it.
Rashmi G
Nonveg taste is so authentic and mouthful. Hotel area is spacious, staff is good and service is quick. Tried biryani rice, ragi ball with mutton Keema sambar. Non-vegetarian lovers must visit here and price is so affordable. Try garlic chicken dry. They do online delivery via swiggy genie. Must visit and worth trying food here

One of the best restaurants overall and THE best place for the precious pork. The ground floor still has the old world aura that is hard to come by today and the service is best in class. Might have to wait for food sometimes, but the wait will be worth it. Highly recommend their garlic pork and their badusha, irrespective of meat. Only down side is mutton items don’t complement their other dishes. Groups of any demography can visit without hesitation.

I went to chandrappa after viewing lot of good reviews about their foods, and took pepper chicken parcel. It was not reached half of my expectations. Meat was not cooked properly. May be I will try once more 😬

One of my favorite eateries in Yeshwantpur is Chandrappa. They serve authentic nutty cuisine with love. Some of my favorite dishes are Badusha pork, a must try dish. It's a perfect umami of all spices and pork mixed together.
The Pudina pork and ginger chicken is also fantastic. A simple chapacti perfectly compliments the mentioned dishes.
They also serve nutty style authentic biryani.Have a glass of coke to go with it.

Pork items are really tasty. A good combination with akki roti etc. The place is bit unclean. Even small places in the area are now so clean a bit more cleanliness can be expected.

Must try PORK BIRYANI. Totally amazing food and service. Although it's kind of a military hotel totally recommend enjoying the good food served here. Overall good experience.
Rohit
When your soul craves for pork in Bengaluru, I'd advise you to barge in to this pork haven. Although almost all the pork dishes on the menu are jaw droppingly awesome, I'll admit that I do have a soft corner for Chilli Pork and Pepper Pork.
Munilakshmamma Pr
Really it's very good taste better try all because taste is wonderful you will enjoy pakka tary some varietieshhhhhhhhhnbhhjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj

This legendary restaurant has some of the most lip-smacking pork delicacies in the city. The pork biryani accompanied with pork chili will tingle you taste-buds like no other.

However, if ambiance is of importance to you, this just might not be your place.

On the other hand, the service is very quick and the food makes up for any flaws that you might notice.

Jus amazing!!!!😍

Best Chilly chicken I had here after Nagarjuna Chimneys!!😋

Brilliant taste one must try Chilly chicken with Biryani rice and Coke for the drink!!😋

Very clean service and friendly staff!!😊

Place is famous for pork items but I won't have either mutton or beef so my choice is always chicken!! And item which we ordered was jus great!! 😋

Overall 4/5 🤗

Fantastic food, friendly owners, quite good ambiance... experts in pork dishes 👌👌.. mutton Biryani and mutton fry is also amazing..a must visit in your lifetime

A little pricey but this restaurant has been established from a very long time. Typical homemade style dishes and tastes the same as well. My favourites has been their mutton brain fry and chicken garlic chicken!
I would visit more if the prices were a little less! And the quantity for that price is definitely not justified!!
Sabyasachi Basu
A little cramped and possibly very crowded (but quite clean otherwise), the food is excellent given the price. The pork is especially great, but the mutton is well made and severely underrated. My only qualm is the minimum order amount (Rs 400) on phone, and the fact that they are often (if not always) offline for delivery on Zomato, because this is the ideal takeaway place.
Abhijin Hj
Rates in hotel menu is different from what it's posted on here. Prices are almost 20% more on zomato than in actually hotel menu. Please visit the hotel directly and have the mouthwatering food. Don't order from zomato and pay 20% more.
Rahul Naimpally
One and only legendary place in Namma Bengaluru. No one can beat this. Maintained food quality and quantity. Do not miss pork biryani and any other pork dishes and also akki roti.

This review is for Home delivery. Kudos to both CHANDRAPPA AND ZOMATO for Quick service.
Had heard a lot about this place from my friends.
Also heard about the famous pork delicacies they serve.
So ordered CHICKEN BIRYANI And PORK PEPPER DRY.
The Biryani tasted very good(like the typically home style cooked Biryani or Rather Pulao/Palav, common in The KARNATAKA region). The quantity and quality were both very good.
The Pork Pepper Dry was cooked properly manner and tasted very good. This was almost like Coorg style Pandi Curry but ya with some modifications they can cook Coorg style Pandi Curry also.
Chandrappa Hotel keep up the good work.
Awesome taste. Every time visited there is no disappointment.Great quality and quantity. Being a veggie I love the tomato curry, Ghee rice . Mouth watering combo. Excellent Service also. Customer satisfaction oriented hotel.

After reading reviews on zomato went to have some pork...

Tried pork biriyani And hyderabadi pork chilly pork ..

i will give 5/5 for pork biriyani.. pork was perfectly cooked .... Biriyani flavour was awesome... an must try

2.5/5 for hyderabadi chilly pork .... This was not up to my expetection...

Would like to try other dishes😊
Emmanuel (@bangalorefoodboy89)
Had ordered Pork Biriyani for lunch and this is the first time I tried this. The rice had good flavor and the sherva/shorba was super! My only disappointment was the pork coz it had only fat and the same wasn't even soft. I eat a lot of pork and the taste is the fat. If it's not cooked very well, u can end up with tapeworms in ur belly.

It’s is not like any other meat when it comes to pork. When this is done right way, it do better things on your tongue. And Chandrappa is A hotel Where you can trust it and have it. From pork pepper fry to the Chinese starters in pork they provide you with different tastes. In Mathikere or Yeshwanthpur area, if you’re looking for some pork dishes, you are certainly come to the right place.

The authenticity of nati-style....

A lovely spot for spicy lovers...

They make you keep sniffing off as soon you start eating(coz of spiceness) of course you wouldd love it....

Haven't seen any indian restaurants recently with a lot of pork options...these guys have them..

Must try:
Mudde
Chapati
Chicken masala
Chicken biryani

If you love Naati style Biriyani then this is the right place to hop into. They have an amazing menu and they serve Pork too! Staffs are very friendly and not too spencer too in terms of cost. Must try items are Garlic chicken, Kebab, Guntoor Chicken and of course CHICKEN BIRIYANI! There's is a bar right next to the restaurant which may be turn off if you come with the family but still once you go inside it will be well and fine. :)
Grehlin_Monster
Absolutely the best place for pork lovers! The service is also quick! Got to know about it recently but after having there once, just couldn’t stop myself from going there Soo many times! Personally pepper pork Hyd chilli pork are my fav !
Dibyasri Chakraborty
Little costly, but food is really good... Authentic Karnataka style food..biriyani is good here...mutton curry is a must try here...good place for family...
Bhushan Bh
Mutton biriyani is 220 ruppees .it is not Upto the mark. rice quality is not good. apart from that all the rates are quite good..If they fix 220 rupees for mutton biriyani either ambience atleast should match..here the ambience is also not good..
Anwesha Jena
A decent place for takeaway. I would not recommend this place especially for girls to sit and have food. Not a great ambience. But if you love pork and chicken starters, then this is the best place for you. Very reasonable price with good quantity and a lovely taste.
AKris
If u love pork, then this is the ultimate place for it.. biriyani is average but the starters are awesome. Ambience is not at all great and would suggest take away any day. Don't even dream of parking as its hell packed road. Reasonably priced but I feel the quantity is comparatively less for the price.

The best place to have pork in the vicinity. Truly amazing and well cooked meat, whether it be pork or mutton or chicken. But the most popular item is the pepper pork. Have it dry fried or as a gravy with akki roti. One might tell them to make it spicy for a better experience.

Must try: Pepper Pork (Dry/Gravy)

Might wanna try: Akki roti, Pepper mutton gravy, biryani rice with egg

Should never try: None

Food: 4
Pricing: Medium
Service: 3
Ambience: 2.5

The food was amazing! Ambience was exactly the way it should be and service was impeccable. Affordable prices and delicious food. This place offers the complete package for students or a group of friends.

Pork lover's paradise.

Authentic Nati style food is their USP .

People come and eat at this place after driving 26 km . Definitely , you could easily gauge the popularity of this place .

Badusha pork , jala pork , pepper pork and pork fry .

Must try .

You can ask to them to reduce the amount of pork fat . They happily do that .

They do serve some delicious chicken items too . Ginger chicken , pepper chicken are also their speciality.

Overall 4/5 .

Nothing much to talk about the ambience . Busy place .

Plaining for dinner. : Make sure you reach by 8. Only then you could get some delecious badusha and jala pork.

PS: don't miss out this place .

Deepakgowda94
The menu is outdated and they won't make most of the items that are mentioned in the menu. The food is okay, but the service is bad and they waiters there only suggest you dishes that are readily available. Its not what it used to be.
Rahul Achar
One of the best places for pork lovers. It's serves amazing pork dishes. Pork pepper dry is awesome. It serves mutton and chicken varieties too. Can't miss this place if you are a pork eater.

Chandrappa hotel is famous for their amazingly famous for their nati style cooking. This place is my personal favorite too. I've been here more than 50 times for sure.
This is located behind the ramaiah college bus stop.
Every chicken starter like pudina chicken, methi chicken, garlic dry chicken, chicken fry, chicken kebab is very good.
In mutton try the delicious Mutton kheema kebab, kheema masala with akki rotti. Deadly combo.
And the main thing is to never miss is their pork dishes. They are very famous for it. Try the pork pepper dry, hyderabadi pork chilli, pork fry and they are extremely good.
Biryani like chicken, mutton and pork biryani are also delicious. All in all, I love this place to the core and it's always my top pick.
Service - 4/5
Ambience - 3.5/5
Taste - 5/5
Nayana S
The place is having limited seating. The service is good . But when it comes to neatness of the place it can still be improved.

But apart from all these, it's the best, delicious, amazing, top-notch , hands down biryani. The place is also famous for lip smacking kebab. Both the dishes was mind blowing and mouth watering.

Ambience:3
Food:5
Service:4.5

Very very delicious food (pakka Nati style), pretty old place in the locality which is filled with many eateries, not to expect too much on the ambience but the taste of the food makes up for everything which is lacking. Minimal varieties on the menu and every single item is worth tasting.
Shreesha Yajaman
Definitely should be on the list for any pork lover ! This place is always bustling with people and is a hit will people of all age .
The food they serve is just lip smacking and drool worthy . Been serving food since three generations , they just know the tricks to play by . The flavours have remained the same is what one gets to know when you converse with the loyal customers. And when it comes to food loyalty is everything ❤️
They have a bar attached for those who want to chill for longer .
Vysh
Though ambience is below average it has got nothing to do with the taste, just rush and you will not regret being there. I tried chicken fry and chicken biriyani both were really good. Chicken fry was spicy and biriyani was a perfect blend. Reasonable prices. Waiting to return here to try other dishes.

Been here to chandrappa hotel as my friend recommendation@ and it's worth visiting.
Each item we tried is very very tasty.

Ambiance: 7/10
Food: 10/10
Quality:9/10
Service:9/10

Must try everything 🙂

Everything we tried was awesome..
Strongly recommend for all foodies.
Family should visit in non peak hours as there is bar beside the hotel.

Have been to this place a lot of times. It's my go to place for pork craving.
The pork dishes in this place are amazing.
Chilli pork and pepper pork is a must try (ask for extra spice) beautiful texture, succulent meat, heavily spiced and i can guarantee that you wouldn't forget the taste.
Make sure you ask them not to include any fatty pieces (personally i don't like the fatty pieces).
Chicken and mutton dishes are really tasty too.
Ambiance and atmosphere is below average, nothing fancy, just go for the food.
Price is very reasonable for the quantity and quality you're provided with.
Friendly staff, ask them how you want your dish(spicy), they would prepare it for you.

Taste - 4/5
Ambiance and Atmosphere - 2/5
Service - 4/5
Value for money - 4/5

Pros
- pork dishes are excellent.
- service is good.
- you will definitely come back for more.
- pocket friendly pricing.

Cons
- ambience and atmosphere is not so good.
- small place, not suitable for a family dine out.

This is an old place in the locality. Older the wine, better the taste. Ultimately this place is a must try for pork lovers.
Prajwal ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್
Stuck in rain, not having many options accidentally landed in this hotel and jus fell in love with the place. Ordered pork pepper, muttton chilli and brain fry. Taste was just perfect and the staff is more than what you can fall in love for. Definitely recommend this one f the oldest place to all my friends.
KARAN GUNDI
Amazing food served here. Everything they have on their menu card is amazing. Natti style food lovers must visit. Try out the natti style chicken pepper fry.
Ashik Jose
Ambience, service and location is below average.

But the taste of food served here makes people forget and adjust on the factors mentioned in the first line of the review.

Pork dishes at this restaurant are very popular and people from far of areas come in search of the pork dishes served here.

Pricing is quite reasonable.
Ajoy Raj
If you are looking for good mutton and pork dishes this is the place to be. Its a small place and not much of an ambience to write about. But the food is really good, be it the mutton chops fry, pork pepper fry, mutton liver, brain fry everything is awesome. They have biriyani, white rice and chappathi, biriyani is good not great, chappathi is also decent. Also try out their rasam which is super spicy and awesome. Do try out this place if you are in mathikere, place is not in main road but google maps can lead you there.
Sofy Felix
Great food, especially pork dishes, the biryani the parata everything tastes great.. reasonable prices with great food. Badusha pork is my fav and must order dish for pork lovers.
Mohitspace
Couldn't help overeating. We ate chicken liver, brain fry, pork masala, chicken Pudina curry and some mutton keema balls. Clearly a serious case of food coma happening now but worth it totally. Count me in for going there again and again and again....Oh ya...If you have ambience issues, maybe stay clear of the place - it's as basic as it gets. The focus is on good food and you get a lot of that...And finally, if you are a chicken eating non vegetarian (which is the equivalent of you liking "summer of 69" and calling yourself a rock music lover) then I am pretty sure you need to find another place to try out
Dheeman Das
Damn!! the mutton chops curry here is insane..
Authentic natti style lip smacking food.. today for casual lunch I had biryani rice and mutton chops curry.. the best I say.. last time had pepper pork and that was awesome too.. a must try place for pork and mutton lovers:)
Nandan
Awesome!!! Very nice taste quantity and quality of food... You can try any of their items.. it's a delight for most of the non-vegetarian lovers especially pork and mutton... None of the items disappoints you... Only drawback is the ambiance... And not so suitable for family...
Nithin
This is one of the best places in the Mathikere area to have non vegetarian food. The ambience is nothing special to talk about(very often people end up sharing tables with others), but the food is just lip-smacking good.

The Garlic Chicken and Pepper Chicken are my favorites here. The curry is packed with flavors, and the meat is succulent and tender.
They serve both Ragi Ball and Chapathi to go with the various curries.

The biriyani is also quite good, and in case you want only the Biriyani rice and not the meat in it, just order the 'Kushka' rice. It has the same wonderful flavor as the Biriyani.

All in all, this is a wonderful place to go to if you are looking for great non vegetarian fare, but don't mind the ambience !!!
Subham
I don't judge a place first by its ambience. That is to be done by the food that is served there. And why not, good food has nothing to do with how a place looks/feels. This is one such unlucky place which is short of space (somewhat) and is adjacent to a shady bar. But the quality of non-vegetarian food they serve is simply superb. Earlier their board used to have just non-veg written in brackets, but now that is gone probably to attract some vegetarian customers as well. Despite this whosoever visits this place, i can guarantee that he/she will remember it for the rest of their life. Even now they don't have any menu and the waiter dictates what is available. Despite this, any item that is ordered can be enjoyed to the fullest. Personally i like the mutton liver fry and chilly pork dry. Talking about price, it can't get any cheaper than theirs.
Dheeraj Gowda
Simple old school joint serving some of the tasty dishes at absolutely affordable prices. Easily one of favourites for comfort food. Loses out on ambience. Food and service is top notch.

Must try: Akki Roti, Mutton Biryani, Pork Kebab, Garlic Chicken
Tapan Menezes
Older the wine , the better the taste.
Older the wood, the better it burns.
Older the food joint, the better the food.
As simple as that.!
Presenting to you one of the oldest hotels standing tall for over 35 years in the busy streets of Mathikere The one and only Hotel Chandrappa .
Serving you an extensive spread of refreshing pork and mutton delights. We recommend you go there and try what we find by far the most appetizing and sumptuous pork meat in the city. You can club it with their traditional melting Ragi Mudde or Akki rotti. They also serve biriyani which is has a lasting effect on your palate and your tummy.
Ratings:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Some things are a must :pork pepper fry ,Ginger pork,Mutton chilli ,Mutton liver fry.
Cost :₹300 for two.
#hotel #chandrappa #pork #mutton #foodislife #spice #oldisgold #legend #bangalorefoodharem #adventure #roti #mouthwatering #bangalore #zomatoin #sundayfunday #foodislife #classic

The place is known for its pork curry. The taste is great and priced aptly. The place is now revamped, has a separate family room but always crowded and finding a place to sit a challenge .
The pork is available in 4 flavours-Ginger,pepper and more.Try it with hot chapathi and egg burgi(with lot of onions).
Try the Ravi ball with chicken gravy...nice and served hot.
Not kid friendly.
Meal for 2 costs Rs 500/-...With family not advisable.
Parking strictly not available..
Friendly service but take time of minimum 10-15 minutes.Ordee in one go.

Cheap pork. Fatty and juicy. Delicious ! Lot of varieties ! Though most look bit of same. It you are in a money saving mood and want to experience the raw flavor of Bangalore. Yes! this is the place for you. Do not expect anything fancy in return of the hundred bucks you would spend here. But it would fill up your palate. One serious downside is that they do not have any form of parotta, they only have chappati. Though rice is there. Try it out !
Nitesh Manjunathachar
Having tried in many hotels of similar type cuisine I can easily say I have had tastier food in other hotels compared to this one. I had chapati kheema Masala n pork pepper dry.. Kheema was not good (I didn't like). Pork pepper dry is just OK. I had chicken biryani as well.. Biryani is more than good. Service is quick. Ambience is more than OK. Will visit once more to try chicken dishes.
Dharmendra K
Delicious food. I liked it especially on the Spicy food. Thank you so much for serving better. There special is they prepare there own ingredients masala items all are own prepared which will result to the homely food... thanks for nice food..

Chandrappa Hotel is synonymous with pork. Old styled restaurant dishing out pork chilly, pork pepper fry and a few more pork dishes. Pork Biryani is something that will baffle even the best of foodies and is literally unheard of in the world of numerous biryanis , is a must try here. Pork lovers should visit this place once and you will realise you are craving for more visits. Value for money is 3.5/5.
Taste 4/5, service 3/5, Ambiance 3.5/5.
Gautham Machaiah
Chandrappa's is very rustic restaurant which promises authentic naati (country) home-style food. The ambience is nothing to write home about though there is no compromise on cleanliness, but the food is a treat to the taste buds.

Chandrappa's takes pride in the number of pork dishes it has on the menu--27 of them. There is a wide variety ranging from pepper pork fry to lemon pork fry. Strangely, I could not find the mother of all pork dishes, the Coorg pandhi curry.

Also on the menu are more than 25 varieties of chicken and mutton dishes. While meat eaters are spoilt for choice, vegetarians may be in for some disappointment.

This is my second visit here and I have tried out the pepper pork dry, chilly pork fry, mutton chops, mutton kheema balls, chicken biryani and raagi mudde. Needless to say, the food received a ten on ten. A special mention should also be made of the rasam, which will leave you asking for more.

Definitely, a foodie's delight.
Rohit Talgeri
Have been here and taken parcel from here many a times. Have never been disappointed.

Nothing much to talk about the ambience here, it's a mess kind of place.

The food!! Don't miss the pork here.. Its one of the best I have had so far. Try any pork dish, you will never be disappointed. The pork garlic, Pork fry.. All are amazing.

Prices are really reasonable, 100/dish.

Overall it is THE place for all pork lovers. Do not miss this place.
Arun
If you are ready to eat Pork then only you go to this place.Typical Karnataka preparation. You will get all kinds of Pork from different types dry items to curries.
most of the dishes are really good if you like greasy and spicy food.which you can have with Chapatis,( best I had till date in Bangalore) . you can end your meal with spicy rasam which is served complimentary.
Vishnu Sudhakaran
This is a very good place for delicious pork dishes. Every time I visit this area I try to have a sumptuous lunch here.

I have tried their butter pork, ginger pork and garlic pork, all were good. From my opinion their butter pork is the must try.

They serve many other regional specialities like ragi ball and biriyanis. I didn't like their biriyani much, and I am yet to try ragi ball.
Akhil G.H
The Best Ever Pork dishes I had... Lemon Pork is the must try... Every Pork items are totally different... I suggest try every dish. I prefer Pork to all other meat products...
Preetham Jayaram
The food is excellent and this is the place if you would like to experience spicy non veg dishes. Although they specialise in pork dishes they are good at others also . Rasam is the best and it can clear any sore throat. Service is quick. Ambience isn't good and it's close to a bar so not recommended for family dining
Lohith
Military style hotel with not so great ambience. The mutton chop gravy is a must try. Not recommend for families who want to dine out. Mostly known for the pork they serve. Good stuff is that they have separate area in the kitchen for pork dishes. So if u are skeptic to eat chicken or mutton here, be assured that they are not using the same pan.
Viraj Torsekar
There is just one reason why you should visit this place: Pork. I don't remember having anything else here except probably chapatis, which is maybe, if needed, the second reason to eat here.

Pork pepper fry, garlic fey, ginger fry, green pork gravy in that order are the tried and tested and loved dishes! The portions are tiny and one person can easily finish one dry or fry dish.

One problem over the years is that the proportion of pieces being just fat has gone up. And now at times you only get fried pork fat. Telling him at the beginning that you don't want much fat helps at times.

Don't forget to try the chapatis. You also have the option of having rice with some rasam, which comes with the guarantee of burning one layer of your stomach lining!

Some years back you could go upstairs and have your food with some beer. They later kept that option open only from the outside of the restaurant through a dingy gully, where weirdly women weren't allowed upstairs. Haven't been here for a while, so I'm not sure how the setting is any longer.

UPDATE: Their mutton liver fry was an undiscovered treasure! Try it for sure!

This place is on the lines of military hotel, hidden in lane near MS ramiah college bus stop.

Pepper chicken is tender and well prepared, with right amount of spices. Eat the chicken dishes with their chapatis. Mutton chops are good too, pork is decent. Best rasam in town, one swig and you feel detoxified.

Quick and efficient service, light on pocket. Good for quick meat filling lunch and takeaways (good packaging).

Awesome food. Rasam is just awesome here. However the bar is attached so its advisable to take away than dine in. A small place but great food.

If you are a person who has this uncontrollable inclination towards eating pork dishes, then just walkin to chandrappa hotel to get floored! A very simple place and a haven for people that are high! Although I don't recommend eating there but tke away would be ideal.

No. This is not just a place that serves typical coorgi pork but more. Some of the dishes to die for ...
Pork biryani, pork dry and fry that I can hand pick.
This is probably the only place that serves a wide range of variants in spicy pork dishes. Chicken and mutton dishes are yummy too! Am going back for more!

Highly recommended !

I am glad I found this place on Zomato and sad that it doesn't have any reviews. This was my dad's favorite place for non-veg food. Well non-veg is banned inside the house so my dad and my brother used to sneak out to eat good non-veg food every now and then. Mostly it would be to visit Chandrappa hotel when we stayed in that area. They would always come back satisfied and happy.

I may not be the right person to review this hotel but I know a well-fed satisfied face when I see one so going by that I am pretty sure they serve good food. I have only eaten their gobi manchurian and veg fried rice. I usually do not expect much from a place which is known for its non-veg food. Because more often than not I end up getting disappointed. So, it was decent. The setup is more like a military hotel setup and it used to have a bar too back then. I am not sure about any recent changes.
