Review Coffee Mechanics - Bengaluru

Nayan Das
After many months of ordering online, we finally paid the restaurant a visit one weekend. Was pleasantly surprised to see it brimming with activity and patrons, which is always a great sign. We managed to get a table inside and went about ordering. The coffee is always good and so was the case. The Korean buns were the standout and we keep going back for more. The breakfast was good and on par with expectations. All in all, it's become a favourite for us now!

I had a wonderful time at Coffee Mechanics. The coffee choices were diverse and intriguing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Signature Mazagran. The Dark Chocolate Orange Mocha was a delightful treat that satisfied my cravings. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff provided great service. The only reasons I'm giving it four stars instead of five are that I wish to try more items from their extensive menu, and I found the prices to be on the higher side. Additionally, while the Peri Peri Fries were okay, they didn't quite stand out like the coffee did. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable coffee experience, and I'm looking forward to exploring more of their offerings in the future!

Good ambiance, tucked away in a tiny corner, gives super cozy vibes. The food is nice, quantities are comfortable and prices are reasonable. We got the blueberry smoothie bowl, the crumb fried chicken sticks and an omelette. All 3 were good. Earlier had ordered a cinnamon bun from this place and had really enjoyed that as well

Good and excellent variety of coffee, an intimate place for easy working and good food! Music is peaceful and the staff is diligent and helpful.

My take on the dishes we ordered. Farmer's breakfast - 5/5 - Delivered what it said on the menu. Juicy sausages, nice an crispy hash browns and overall spicy, exactly what it said on the menu. Chocolate and Banana pancakes - 4.5/5 - Nice and fluffy pancakes, the dark chocolate on the side was a bit bitter for my wife's liking, that said each to their own. Mocha Coffee - Beautiful American roast coffee, bitter yet sweet. Kudos to the lady for making an insane design on the coffee. 100% worth the visit. Overall rating - 4.8/5

Nice, small cafe to get good coffee and catch up a friend. I had the cinnamon roll and pour over v60 coffee. The coffee was so good! The cinnamon roll was a tad sweet because of the glaze, but it goes well with the coffee. Remember to ask them to go easy on the glaze! Will definitely go back for the coffee, and may be try other food options too.

Sweet little spot just off of the bustling hennur ring road, this cafe is fantastic. Seating is very limited in the small space. Outdoor seating is also available. Coming to the coffee, we tried the coffee mechanics special and a vegan coffee, both were fantastic. We also loved the peri peri fries, the cinnamon roll is such a warm and cosy one too. The pancakes were fluffy and portion size was quite big. Definitely worth a visit and coming back for sure.

Coffee Mechanics have some of the best coffee I’ve had in Bangalore. Their coffee is roasted to perfection and I don’t think I can buy from any other brand. The key seems to be that they roast in small batches. I would highly recommend getting anything with their Monsoon Malabar beans. A must visit. The best part is you can do work from here for hours during weekdays.

Great coffee, food and place. And jazz music. What's not to like? Also serves all-day breakfasts and a host of new dishes.

It is a good place for a quiet evening or a fun time with friends. The varieties of coffee they have is nice, their menu is also diverse and plating of food is awesome. The only downside is, they have very limited seating as the place is quite small.

I have been to this place. Love it Variety of coffee from Malnad regions of karnataka is amazing. MazaGrana coffee is the best here :)

Amazing coffee experience. Great hospitality too.

I like the ambience here

The best Nitro Coffee in town! Also, their new line of all day breakfast is perfect to go with the Coffee. We ordered the Shakshuka and Farmers breakfast and it was delicious! This place is a must visit for the coffee lovers.

We ordered a coconut cappuccino and an espresso topped with condensed milk. The drinks were good so was their staff, very welcoming.
The food was just okay. We ordered an Asian noodles and mushroom cheese sandwich. They were just blah and definitely not value for money

Price: 2.5/5
Taste: 3/5
Ambience: 3/5
Staff: 4/5

A quaint little coffee shop with a very helpful staff. The setup is very cosy and the coffee is brilliant.

Visited this cafe in the evening for a quick coffee. Due to pandemic, indoor seating is not allowed. However, they have seating in outdoor as well.

Ordered one of their speciality Mechanic Bombon and Cafe Latte. You can feel the aroma and taste of coffee was very evident in Bombon, little bit different but pleasantly strong. However on the downside I found that it is not served outright hot, and sugar was a bit high, I don't like too much sugar in my drink. However it was due to the use of condensed milk, which contains sugar.
Latte was fine, as it has to be. So according to me, not sure if I will say it is a perfect place to have a cup of coffee with your pal. I may need to visit again.
Eating options are limited as well.
On the brighter side, Staff was good and service was prompt.

Place is maintained clean and staff r gud but the brownie coould be better I felt I'm having a biscuit not the brownie it was so hard ... management plse kindly look in to the food and thx u

Visited this place twice before and enjoyed the experience but the recent visit was disappointing as they didn’t have a card machine . You can’t expect everyone to have paytm. Also the ac wasn’t turned on and the fan was placed right next to the table with the wind blowing in your face wherein the service station ac was running. Coffee mocha was ok. Hoping they go back to providing the service they used to provide before.also the crowd was very indecent.
Hitanshu Gandhi
What's the point of a so called roastery or tasting room if they don't have fresh coffee to sell, the AC doesn't work or the artisan brewing methods are unavailable. No plug points for working either. Waste of a visit.

Friendly service.
Chill secluded spot.
Had a great evening with the boys.
Absolutely loved the mocha.
Wouldn't recommend the bullet coffee.

Starting off our page with the thing we love the most!
COFFEE!!! ☕

Coffee is one of the world’s most popular beverages. Thanks to its high levels of antioxidants and beneficial nutrients, it also seems to be quite healthy. And Coffee is something we can't really do without.

If you are a true coffee lover, like we are then this is a must visit place for you. It is a cute cosy cafe where you can spend relaxing time sipping on some really good coffee and food and relax 😊

Follow this_iswhatwe_eat on Instagram for some awesome content!!

Must visit place for a coffee lover. The best part of this place is the perfect yet limited menu. It does not confuse you with a hundred items on the menu, but makes you wonder when it comes to the variety of coffee listed. On my first visit, I tried Vietnamese Iced Pour Over and Cafe Frappe along with Chicken Brushetta. Three items were equally good and satisfying my expectations.

This place is quietly located in HBR layout and with a quick Google Maps help, you can reach this place at ease.
Poulami Banerjee
Beautifully decorated cafe somewhere in the middle of nowhere, the location of this place is my only complaint. Any other place with hustle-bustle would have served as a good customer base for this experimental work on coffee.
We tried the Signature mazagran, a cold coffee with a flavor of lime in it. It was lovely. Adding to this, the decoratin of this place is something very quaint and humble, yet enchanting in itself.
I recommend this place for a taste of uniquely flavoured coffees experimented with a lot of heart and soul. A great place to hang out on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Purva Bhatnagar
Tiny place in HBR layout. Has some variety for true coffee connoisseurs. Not very extensive menu though. The seating is limited and the ambiance is quite basic. Avoid sitting outside if you don’t want mosquitoes bothering you while you enjoy the coffee. I liked the basic frappe and the garlic bread. The omelette was nice and the quantity was sufficient. Decent place, if it falls on the way of your daily commute do stop by sometime.

Silent and petite place.
Fast service
Good food everything was just wow
Cafe mocha -5/5
Brownie Shake 5/5
Egg Chicken Cheese toast 5/5
Panner Panini 5/5

Value for money 5/5
One of those few places whom i love to visit again for the service and food.
Suzana Syiem
If you are truly a coffee connoisseur, you wouldn't want to miss this place, these guys are really good with their brews, I would vouch for their black fresh coffee, without sugar.
Sweta Singh
Pocket friendly cafe.
A petite and peaceful cafe in HBR. Loved their ambience and calm atmosphere. The music isn’t loud and annoying unlike some places I’ve visited recently.
The next best thing about this place is the staff. Extremely cordial, always smiling and they ACTUALLY come to each and every customer and make sure that all of us are having a splendid time. They value their customers and that’s the most important thing.
One small thing that they can improve about their cafe is by expanding their menu options and adding desserts and juices in the menu. The menu needs to be worked upon more.
Nonetheless, a pretty place to be! Would recommend y’all to check this place out!!

Looking for pure Cafes (cafes that concentrate more on Coffee and less on foodin Bangalore led us to this place.
Located in a quiet lane in HBR Layout, we reached here with the help of Google Maps.
Parking available easily on the side roads.
It has both internal and external seating space.
Simple and classy interiors welcome you. Limited seating, but it's not too crowded so that's OK.
I really loved d ambience.
We ordered for Cinnamon Latte and Chocolate Muffin. I've never had cinnamon in my coffee, so this was a first. Not too bad. The muffin was delicious.
I found the prices reasonable. We spent an hour here in peace over a long conversation, with no loud music n disturbance.
Would surely recommend this place for a peaceful Cuppa.
I've given 4 stars bcoz there were a lot of flies/mosquitoes inside d cafe. I hope they look into this, bcoz it was really irritating to keep d mosquitoes away.

When I moved to Bangalore last Oct, possibly the first thing I was worried about finding a good neighborhood coffee place and Coffee Mechanics turned out to be the answer. Now I am a regular there. Even being an ardent Starbucks lover, Coffee Mechanics doesn’t fall any short in their quality of beans. Cinnamon latte is my fav.
Its a cozy ambience, 2 mins inside from the main road and away from dust. Great staffs; polite and cordial.
Only area of improvement is their food menu. I always end up getting the chicken Panini (which tastes great) in absence of other convincing options. Some more healthy options on salad, sandwich, pasta etc would be good.

The good : coffee is good, ambience inside is great
The bad : High price, I prefer pure vegetarian places.
The ugly : location location location.....It is really dirty outside. lots of trash , human and dog excreta outside. The stark contrast of wealth and opulence inside and human poverty outside...

Could be unnerving with the glass windows and not possible to really relax inspite of the inner ambience
Sweta Sikder
If you are a true coffee lover. This is a must visit. It's in one of the bylanes of HRBR layout. It's definitely a worth visit for their fantastic fragnant coffees. The snacks ate also great. I tried the coffee bombon and coconut cappuccino, both were great.

I absolutely adore this place! From their simple & minimalist decor to their amazing single origin coffees. Oh and their banana cupcake is just the best! I go there to relax, work or meet a friend.

Place is quite small but they do have sitting arrangements outside and as well as on the inside. Various varieties of coffee are available, loved the brownies. The price is quite high can be economical. Overall it was a peaceful experience.

Been here for the first time and I loved the place instantly! For a coffee lover like me this is an amazing place with very soothing and clam ambience! Fries which was ordered along with my coffee was delicious. Not to forget the amazing service by Ravi! I am going to try out this place with my friend Liesl Newcastle

Stumbled upon this gem of a cafe, while visiting Bangalore. Ended up visiting it multiple times during the trip. In short, perfectly brewed coffee, delicious eats & very friendly staff, always going the extra mile. If this wasn’t enough, they have very good internet, making it a perfect work cafe too! Highly recommended.

I've always been a filter coffee and cappuccino person. I used to wonder how people drink black coffee. Today, I visited Coffee Mechanics and asked for a cup of Aeropress coffee with medium-roasted beans and milk and sugar on the side.

The coffee tasted so amazing and was brewed so perfectly that today, for the first time in my life, I understood what a good cup of black coffee tastes like. I didn't add the milk or sugar. Didn't need to.

We also had a Brownie coffee shake which was good. The person behind the counter (who also brewed our coffee) explained how each different coffee brewing method works. He was smiling and friendly and is clearly excellent at what he does.

I'd definitely visit again and pick up some of their coffee to take home with me next time!

Coffee lovers please visit!

What is a coffee to you? For me it's everything. My exploration for coffee got me to this place and when I tasted the coffee it just gave me a satisfaction which I was looking for months together.

Who all loves black coffee? then one must try chemex which is mildy bitter but very enjoyable drink, Coconut Cappuccino and Browine cold coffee are my other two favorites.

Right on the counter you can find different coffee makers which I found it very attractive, there you also see coffee beans placed in jars where you can smell them to know the aroma. They've different types of coffee's I have listed the one which I tried and liked but my vote goes for chemex.

Food- ordered banana muffins, brownies, garlic bread, chicken bruschetta, mushroom omelette, chicken wings and cheese chicken omelette everything tasted good presented good.

Overall I just loved their coffee menu which has different varieties. I will definitely try all the coffee's listed in the menu.

They Know About Their Coffee, A perfect place for somebody who's a Coffee Person. It's a small Coffee Brewery ,which houses from French press to Regular Mocha's .
Just for their Coffee:10/10
Ambience:Small Place with few tables, Though good for a quick Coffee meetings
Food:6/10
Value For Money:9/10(Gold Membership)
*Do try Out the French Press and their sandwiches*

Didn't really like the atmosphere and surroundings. Coffee was also not so tasty. israeli babka was too dense and hard to chew. Staff was nice.

We have been to coffee mechanics twice and loved the coffee there, for me it was the cafe Mocha and the chicken brucetta that was lovely. Unique ambience and location is ideal to have a great time

Visited this cute little cafe the other day. Limited options for food but whatever they have is really good. A lot of options when it comes to coffee. So if you are someone who loves coffee then this is your heaven. Ordered the paneer Panini which came with some fries and a yummy mayo dip. The sandwich was super delicious. The cafe Mocha was great and soo was the chocolate brownie. I wish there were more food options and a little more seating area.

Hellooo everyone! Let’s shoot some knowledge on brewing the coffee ☕️ .
.
This is SIPHON , straight out of lab experiment, this beauty works in mini distillation process . The extract is refined and serves as a treat to the palate 🙂.

A cosy nice coffee place! I loved the fries and the chicken slider? Just too good to be true! Keep up the good work, will come back for more

After a long walk in the HBR layout mini forest, catch your breath and perk up with the awesome coffee here. In a departure from the usual, I went for a cold house special –the Signature Mazagran …lime marries coffee….I was kind of skeptical and ready to ditch and try something else if this does not work for me…but it was delicious magic! Loved every sip.

The décor and coffee both are excellent. Cozy but bright with light streaming in and with Bangalore mornings when it's the sun is still sleeping weather, it’s very pleasant. The coffee is sourced from 3 estates that are listed on the menu, you can buy your choice of blend here. The coffee is the hero, heroine and their family here, the food has a side role (for me - for a change). Do try the house special coffees – hot or cold – vegan ones - which sound very enticing. My first time trial of one hit the taste jackpot so I am likely to go here sometime very soon.

Last evening at this place was beautiful. It's located in a calm and a peaceful place. A little further from the usual traffic.

Ambience -
The ambience was pleasant. You get the aroma of coffee as soon as you enter the place.
The music played was soft and slow. Since it was away from the traffic, the time spent here was peaceful.

Food -
Coming to food, I must say I was surprised. It's was really good.
We ordered a cup of cappuccino and a cafe latte. We loved both as they were fresh.
Then we ordered the chicken slider and garlic chicken wings.
Chicken slider was good with 2 servings along with fries and a dip.
Garlic chicken wings was a total surprise to us as we did not expect it to be so good. You can taste the perfect flavour of the garlic sauce and yes the chicken was fresh and tender.
We totally loved the coffee and the food.

Service -
It was pretty quick. We didn't have to wait much for our order.
The staff was courteous.

It's quite pocket friendly.

One good place to take your date on a coffee and to spend some quality time.

Yes I will come back for more. ☕

A well maintained place in hbr layout , to hang out with friends. Tried capacinno and chocolate mocha.. Chocolate mocha was good but capacinno was not that good, considering the price. Overall, a good place to visit and chill out with a couple of friends.....

Cosy little place. Great food and awesome coffee. I had coconut milk cold coffee and a chicken panini. And my husband tried the English breakfast. Tastewise great. Coffee had a variety of options. Overall loved the place.

Coffee lover? Then this is the perfect place for you. I m just in love with this place. I visit this coffee house every month. I m pretty sure that even you will love this place. You get some amazing coffee here. And the advantage of this coffee house is that you can customize the coffee according to your needs by telling the barista abt your preferences. They have a variety of coffee available. Apart from coffee they even have a variety of food items available too, they taste good. You can purchase the coffee beans/powder from here too. More than a cafe its like a tasting room where you can go and taste different kinda coffee. The cafe doesn't have a lot of sitting area but once you get a table i m sure you will not leave the place fast. I recommend you to at least visit this place once for some coffee.

A quaint quiet spot, away from the noise of the ring road traffic and very aesthetically done. The affogato was absolutely delicious! Will be back for more..

It's located in the residential area of HBR layout on the corner of the road, a perfect location for a cafe. It's very peaceful and calm over there. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement.

It's one of the underrated cafe's nearby. This place was recommended to me by my friend and I just found it to be a perfect cafe.
It's not that big to accommodate a lot of people.

We had espresso shots, Vietnamese coffee pour. And it tastes really good. I found it to be little expensive. But trust me, if you like coffee, you wouldn't regret paying for it.

Because of its locality and the atmosphere in there, I felt it was a great place to have conversations.

The staff was friendly. We were the only people in the cafe at that time. We had a great conversation with him. He shared his experiences in various barista competitions.

If you're around this area, do give this place a visit.

Ambience : 4/5
Staff : 4.5/5
Coffee : 4.5/5

With Varun Suthar

Had coffee mocha and a brownie. One of the best coffee iv had ! It was really nice. The brownie was too good ! The way they serve the coffee is really nice.

The place has an amazing ambience with a good palate of coffee to try on. I liked the pour over slow coffee. They will explain you the process of making it and it is quite a wonderful experience.

Went there late in the evening. A small trendy cafe in a calm residential area. Cool interiors. They have tables outside also. In the evening, due to mosquitoes outside people sit inside itself. So it gets pretty crowded with no space to walk.
I ordered coconut coffee cooler, which was unexpectedly not thick - kind of coco juice, and cinnamon latte which is just cinnamon flavour in a coffee - meh. Based upon reviews here, I chose them but disappointed. Might be they messed up on that day.
With that I had banana muffin and cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting. First time I tasted both of them and have become my favourites. Especially, cinnamon roll was melting in my mouth. Yummy! Would visit again just for their bakes.
Mimi Dihingia
A very cute little place hidden somewhere in HRBR layout. They brew their own coffee and i must say it was really good. The food wasn't that great though. The chocolate brownie was okay and the breakfast was bad. Overall a cozy little place with nice coffee :)
SMITTENBYFLAVOURS
Very tasty and perfectly brewed coffee. The accompaints very equally good. We had a cappuccino and mocha along with peri peri fries and cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was a bit dry but the fries were fantastic..
Smrithi Srinivasan
It's a quaint little cafe with good food and good coffee. The fried chicken sausages and the coconut coffee was a hit. The service was fast and friendly.
Shriya Murthy
Small place with limited seating (outdoors as well) at HRBR Layout. Courteous staff. Okay-ish cappuccinos. The Banana Muffin is something that I would strongly NOT recommend. Would conclude that Kammanahalli has other ample places to choose from, that serve better food with a better ambience.

Food: 2.5/5
Ambience: 2.5/5
Service: 3/5
Overall Experience: 3/5

Small cafe tucked away in HBR LAYOUT phase 5 near the ring road. Superb coffee. The English breakfast looks good. I tried the triple egg and cheese omlette and it was great. Followed by Cinnamon latte. Heavenly.
Kavitha Penumatcha
Amazing coffee experience and a welcome departure from the jaded experiences in the coffee chains. Soudh provided excellent service with a small class on coffee tasting. The English Breakfast and Babka were perfect accompaniments to the coffee. Great way to spend a Sunday morning over coffee and conversation.

I passed by this coffee shop tucked away in some residential lane in hbr layout and decided to visit this place shortly.
It's a tiny charming coffee shop with coffee being the real hero in the menu and limited food menu. We ordered coconut coffee cooler and one cold brew with vanilla sweet cream along with brownie.
The coffee is amazing , fresh and strong - brownie was little pricey but overall I loved the place. Perfect to spend a quiet Sunday :)

Nearby place for me... Finally entered in today for late breakfast...

Ambiance: Small cozy and trendy cafe style outlet. Casual seating arrangements. Calm and peaceful location.

Food: Limited menu for food and wide range of coffee... ordered the English breakfast which is like a platter of breakfast includes eggs, beans, roasted tomatoes, fried Mushrooms and Sausages. Mushrooms and Sausages were tossed in oil with black pepper and onions - were truly amazing & Had Banana Muffin- truly superb and Coffee ofcourse was good too.

Service: Friendly team and good service. Keep it up.

Cost : Decently priced does justice to what you get as an overall experience.

Definitely worth a visit for calm and decent breakfast, brunch and evening hangout for couples and friends like a coffee over food talk. Will visit soon for more coffee...

Hidden in the most unexpected place is a gem not to be missed by coffee lovers staying around or passing buy. Primarily coz I am not from HBR layout we avoided this place for many months, and finally planned and visited it with mixed experience at first and it got better with subsequent visits. They know their coffee I can guarantee you that.

My favourite is an unconventional one, definitely try - Signature Mazagran ( it was love at first sip) unconventional lemony coffee.
Also loved brownie coffee shake.
Hot coffee try - Spiced French Press

My hunt for a genuinely #artisan #coffee experience paid off while I visited Coffee Mechanics. I lived in the U.S closer to a decade and had indulged in coffee of all kinds and diverse #brewing methods. From #Frenchpress to #siphonpot, #blackcoffee to #coldbrew, there is nothing my taste buds spared. I was wondering if I could continue feeding my #passion for coffee after relocating to India. Coffee Mechanics decimated all my doubts and to put it simply, they exceeded my expectations. Their options are diverse yet unique across seed varieties and brewing methods. You get to try French press, #pourover, #aeropress, traditional Indian filter and last but the best, “siphon pot”. They, apparently, get their own produce, roast the seeds right in their facility and serve you fresh coffee filled with #aroma and #exquisite taste. The shop has an international appeal right from ambience, aesthetics to customer service. The #barista is quite knowledgeable, friendly and would happily clarify all your doubts around coffee. There is much more I want to describe but I would leave it for you to experience in person. If you are a coffee lover living in Bangalore then “Coffee Mechanics” is your Paris.
“Ok Google, navigate to Coffee Mechanics”! #CoffeeMechanics

Just happened to stop by here for a quick coffee, the place is quite small, however got a good open feel to it.
Food was not worth the price, we had a brownie which was not properly cooked and cinnamon roll which was dry and the cream on top tasted a bit salty.
The coffee was not done well.
Very over priced for the quantity you are getting.
Found this small but elegant cafe which specialises in brewing coffee in both modern and traditional ways with the help of Japanese ( pour over, siphon coffee & Coffee Dripper ) Italian ( Moka pot). It was a beautiful experience we had.

It took 45 minutes to serve us our breakfast and it wasn’t too busy when we entered. In fact we were the only customers. When the food finally came it was cold. Very very bad service and the staff didn’t care much when we complained about the food being cold!!!! Definitely not visiting again.
Nice and quite place for enjoying a cup of good coffee. They have got variety. Not much area for outdoor seating, they have just put a few chairs on the stairs.

A cozy and a great place to have some good coffee. Would start off by saying that it's a small yet well designed coffee shop. The ambience is nothing short of great! The variety of coffee to choose from is quite a lot. They could do with another person at the counter which would help improve the service time. Presentation is top notch. Coffee itself is fresh and tastes absolutely great!.
Don't their Cinnamon Latte, Signature Mazagran and Mushroom Bruschetta.
Overall, had a great time here! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a small yet quite and cozy place to chill.

Very nice cosy place....had a chicken slider , cinnamon bun and a espresso wih Nutella. The coffee was good and the food was tasty also......

At most of the cafés, you pay for time you spend there. But this café is one where I'd gladly spend half of my salary just for the coffee. I must warn you. I am not one of the coffee aficionados. Not even close to being one. So everything I'll speak will be from a layman's perspective and I ask for forgiveness from any savants out there reading this. Stumbled across this quaint place while exploring my neighborhood, hoping to find a secluded place where I can spend some quality time with my Kindle, this has quickly become one of my go to places for the ambience, amazingly behaved and knowledgeable staff, and — not to mention — the COFFEE. With nice and soothing jazz music playing in the background, I was tempted to ask Siri "Hey Siri, which song is this?" and took a screenshot of it everytime a new song came across.
Now, dear elephant in the room, I must address you. So, the coffee is one of the best I've tried anywhere. I've tried their slow coffee which were amazing, Americano for my brain and 'Vietnamese Ice Pour Over' cold coffee. In fact, I was struck by the awesomeness of the cold coffee so much that I am writing the review as I'm indulging in this beaut of caffeine which comes with a dollop of condensed milk. So that's all about coffee AFAIK. Not a review you'll hope for but that's good enough for me.
Lastly, since I bring my Kindle along with me everytime I come here, I occupy the corner seat, which has a seating capacity of 4 (sorry :P), as I usually spend 3-4 hours here and it's the most comfortable to sit with cushioned settee. So, I do order some eatables along with my drink to keep myself occupied. I've tried Chicken and cheese omelette which was quite good (3.7/5) and Chicken panini with a portion of peri peri fries. The pieces of chicken were so velvety and the sauce was just the right amount balancing the moisture perfectly (4.3/5). Having said that, I felt the portion size of desserts were tad lower than expected, hence, I didn't order them.
In summary, it's a place you should not miss out on when in this part of the city. For someone who likes spending their time reading at cafés, it's the Atta Galata of North Bangalore with an upgrade on coffee and food sans book. You need to BYOB (bring your own book) along. ;)
Happy eating.

Situated in the interiors of HBR layout, it's a perfect place for coffee lovers. They have assortments of coffee. Short and simple menu. Have some quick bites too, which I have not tried yet though.
Staff is good, and I loved the ambience.
Tried cafe mocha and cinnamon latte, both were delectable. Would love to visit again and other flavours of coffee.

Brilliant English breakfast and stunning coffee.. only couple of tables available to sit though..but nice ambience and super friendly staff. But these guys are going to get famous very soon. Word's spreading!

It has a lovely cozy ambience. I happened to stop by to this on my way to work and was surprised by its summer collection of coffee and jazz music playing in the background.I am happy to have this place close to my work area where i am able to take a coffee break and come back to work all relaxed.

I haven’t been to the place, but had coffee from them thanks to dunzo. Have tried their espresso, spiced french press and the Indian alley from their ‘summer specials’. All three of them were fantastic. I can always appreciate a nicely extracted espresso, given the rarity.
All in all an amazing coffee. Will definitely visit some time soon. Also the packaging is top notch.

Tucked in a little corner of HBR you got to try this place, if you are an avid coffee lover! A very warm and pleasant ambience with jazz music welcoming you. Though their seating seems inappropriate, their coffee compensates for it. They have some very interesting coffee combinations. I tried this coffee cooler with lime, cinnamon and of course coffee. Have you ever imagined of that combination? I didn't. But it tasted awesome. This was supposedly less sweet but my pallet didn't approve of that because I'm used to having my coffee without sugar. So my resistance to sugar is very low. The other time I had this cappuccino with coconut milk. This for all the vegans out there. I am not a vegan but I love the flavor of coconut so I didn't mind it at all. They also serve all day breakfast which I may try soon. But for now I'm happy with my coffee. A definitely must try place!!

The only place to experience South Indian coffee! From single origin coffee grown at different altitudes to blended coffees, it’s all there! A must visit!

Very pricy.. ordered chocolate babka! And what I get is a single piece of bread that costs 150! Very shocking. I wouldn't recommend this place to people who are finding place that should be worthy

An amazing Roastery experience staff courteous and knowledgeable they take you through the various coffees and blends and educate you about the menu.
You must try their ‘summer specials’ some very interesting flavours and blends.
Coffee is such a personalised thing I can’t really recommend anything as it’s something you will have to personalise for yourself. They are happy for you to smell and taste before you decide on what to have.
Their ‘summer specials are quite unique’ we have tried a couple of them and they were unlike anything we have had before.
I also tried the ‘coconut milk cappuccino’ apt for vegans it was extremely creamy and smooth.
I have the ‘chicken and cheese omelet, it was well made and tasted good.
I find their desserts quite overpriced for the portions and what is served so I didn’t attempt to try any.

Lovely Ambience. Great Jazz music. Coming to the coffee, beautiful! Ordered a Derby Diaquiri and Indian Alley. Different yet pleasing. The chilli taste along with the coffee goes really well. The oats coriander and coffee is an interesting combo. Must try coffee. Every coffee lover should visit this place once. The service from Soudh was prompt and courteous. If coffee making is an art. Soudh is an artist.

Located in a slightly unusual location, they brew the best coffee in town. While their tasting room is quiet small, u'll have find great people who serve coffee here. Have a chat with the founders or the Barista and ull be enlightened about their speciality coffee. Do try some of their manual slow brewing methods. A must visit if you are a coffee lover. Recommended to pick up some fresh roasted coffee beans when you visit. Great Work guys. Ganga Prabhakar Pavanhanbal Mihir Rebello

Excellent place for true coffee aficionado. Food is also very delicious, folks who run the place have designed the place with a good ambience. Must and highly recommend people to come here and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.

Love love love this place that I stumbled upon, thanks to Zomato, when I was this side of town and had a couple of hours to kill. I needed coffee, WiFi and a quiet place to sit and do some work and this was the perfect place. My first excitement was when I saw that they had Bullet Proof Coffee, my current favourite ever since I’ve adopted the keto lifestyle. I don’t think any other coffee shop in Bangalore have even heard of Bullet Proof Coffee! I ended up having the coconut milk cappuccino, since I had already had my Bullet coffee for the morning. The coconut milk cappuccino was DELICIOUS! I can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Quiet, tasteful ambience, perfect music (I love jazz!) and the best vibe to complete work that you’ve been trying to complete all week! Thank you, Coffee Mechanics, for making my Saturday morning amazing! Please open a coffee shop in Koramangala.

A best place to hangout with friends with a cup of nice blended coffee. The French Press brewing coffee by using the Chemex Method is awesome. You will enjoy this place if you are a coffee lover. I like the English Breakfast with a cup of brewed black coffee the most here. I recommend this place to everyone for a relaxation time.

Was looking out for coffee places and this was such a surprise find! I had an amazing coffee experience here in this neat little place. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place serves one of the best coffee I have tasted in Bangalore. Locally brewed coffee is a must try. They do serve snacks and breakfast as well. English breakfast was awesome!

The place has an excellent ambience but is more of a coffee tasting experience than being a full-fledged cafe. Hence has limited seating. But the overall experience is awesome whether you are just dropping in for a quick coffee or you want to get some work done. If you are an avid coffee lover, I would strongly recommend this place. Loved it, will return more often.

I was once trying to figure out a shortcut and drove past coffee mechanics. Any place that has coffee in the name gets my attention so I made it a point to comeback and check it out. Thrice. Impressed all the time. They have a great local source coffee, single origin, house blends and almost all ways of making them- pour over, Chemex, French press, etc.

I have discovered my favourite- kuttinkhan estate in chemex. All thanks to their barista with great knowledge - saud .

Quiet place, very good ambiance. Away from all traffic and honks. Easy parking space. You'll find good variety of coffees to choose from. Must visit place. Would suggest to go in the evenings :)

And for coffee mechanics team, your menu is missing here. It would be for others who haven't visited the place yet and want to explore

Good ambience and staff have the knowledge of coffee brewing and will patiently explain things so u can choose what you like. We ordered the Latte which came with some amazing coffee art that was so professionally done. The chicken sliders are a must try. Also ordered the chicken cheese omlet which was rich and loaded. I tried the kuttinkan medium slow brewed black coffee and must say I have a new liking for black coffee. Overall, a must try place for specialty coffee..

Coffee here is great and the best part is the service. Food is below average. Worth coming once!
It's a little difficult to find the Cafe as it is located in the interior of the layout.
Good customer service! The manager lady was handling the outlet well and quick responding to the queries.Although coffee taste vary from person to person. 😊

One of the best places to get your caffeine kicks in the city. Have only had their house blend so far (in simple cold brew) but goddamit it was beautiful. Full of flavour, and enough of a punch to make your brain smile.

The location is a bit odd, smackdown in the middle of a residential part of the town. But well worth the trek.

Food options are limited, clearly coffee is King at this place. Smallish seating area but more than enough space to bring your laptop and work for a couple of hours.

Highly recommended.

What I first love about this place is that it is like a European Cafe plonked in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The menu is limited but every dish is well done and the coffee's are refreshingly differnt. I love the all black contemporary decor and the silence of the place apart from the occasional steam and roastery sounds of the coffee machines. Bte this has a roastery attached to the Cafe.. Over all I think it's good to swing by and then fall in love.

The bites were decent. While the Tender Coconut Souffle was yum, I've had better. The Chocolate Babka was excellent.

Their coffee, OTOH, is something else.

Their Signature Mazagran - coffee with citrus, sweetened with brown sugar - was the best of the lot. I know where I'll be going for my cold coffee this summer.

The Bombon is a shot of espresso over condensed milk - a lovely combination of sweet and
frothy bitter.

The Coconut Coffee Shake, coffee sweetened with coconut milk was flavorful and refreshing. Tastes quite like Bulletproof Coffee.

The Spiced French Press, unsweetened, with cloves and cinnamon is a shoo-in. It packs a punch on the tongue but is quite soothing on the tummy, especially after a heavy meal.

They have different manual coffee machines for each of their brews if you'd rather not have your coffee from an automated espresso maker.

I happened to try this place one of the Monday’s on my way to work. Looked quite interesting. The person who took my order told me that they are apparently are the 6th generation coffee producers who have been into the coffee business for the past 200 years. Was happy that there is a nice coffee place nearby my work area.
It’s got a decent menu, a quite place with some nice minimalist classy ambience.
I tried a cappuccino and it was pretty good.
Yet to try more

If you are coffee lover, this place is a must try. Ambience is brilliant, with Jazz in the background. Coconut Coffee shake(Vegan) is awesome. Bombon is another shot worth trying. The Chocolate Bubka was quite scrumptious, a must try. Pretty much liked everything we tried. And I think a hands down, absolute favourite is their Signature Mazagran! Finally, a coffee Coffee Shop.

Although located at a weird location, the coffee is really really good. A must try will be the ‘Coconut Coffee Shake’. It’s really good if you wanna avoid milk in your coffee. The picture attached shows the ‘Coconut Coffee Shake’.

My new favourite place in Bengaluru.
Must Try:
Mazagran
Single estate coffee on Pour over
And the chicken sliders are to die for.
A place you should try if you are a true coffee lover.

Love the variety of options in coffee including Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk :-) the citrus black coffee made my day, it's as so refreshing. The chocolate walnut bread was also yummy.

M A Z A G R A N
The best cold brew I have had, total refresher of a drink with right amounts of espresso, lime and sweetener served over ice.
This drink was original born from Algeria and many countries have have their versions of it in either as a coffee or a cocktail.
You can get your coffee fix at COFFEE MECHANICS located in HBR layout, they also serve a huge selection of coffees and short eats.

Very friendly staff! Great coffee and yummy snacks. I love the mocha and Vietnamese coffee. Great place to relax and read a book or meet with friends.

Ambience 4/5.
Brownie coffee shake was yummilicous, one of the best cold beverage I have tasted in long time.
Would definitely like to visit again and try out other coffee variety.
The Hungry Haz
Coffee Mechanics is a small, cosy joint. I thought it could be a little bigger, so it could allow for some privacy on conversation. Apart from their coffees, at which they have vast expertise, they also serve up some cute snacks. Take the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings for example. They were very tasty, even thought I felt that they could be a bit more meaty. I can't forget the Chicken Sliders, who's melt in the mouth feel is exactly what one wants to find in a burger. But after all the place is all about their coffee, so it would be only appropriate for it to be the star of the show. And it was. The Frappe was simple. I could tell they were real experts as the quality of their coffee was felt through each sip. Wow, the Granola Affogato was really something else. The exotic blend of ice cream, granola and expresso was a magical combination. It has a wonderful balance to it and it is a unique creation by them. Very impressive. Of course, as they are new, there are a few pointers of improvement - namely the Granola Affogato being in the cold drinks section and a small bill problem. But what actually impressed me the most was not their coffee - which I had high expectations of - it was actually their food. Considering they specialise in coffee, their food was certainly noteworthy. The staff were very friendly too. The restuarant was simple and rustic. There was a warmth about the place. All I can say is this 6-month old restaurant is sure to be a hit in the months to come!
