Review Adyar Ananda Bhavan Restaurant - Bengaluru

Prajwal Rai
Atmosphere is decent ,nothing special. Self service here and decent pricing for all items. Quality is great and good parking space. Best hotel in the area maybe for breakfast. Edit:- do have to add looks like they do read their reviews and try to take inputs. Which is great

One of the better restaurants on the Hosur road (located on the service road); fine dining on the first floor, normal service in the ground floor. Huge building with party hall at the top. Lift is available which is a big relief for senior citizens. Very good food, good service. However although their staff keep moving all over the place, getting their attention for service is a little difficult; could be better: like waiting forever to request them to clear the table before our next order.

10/10 recommend for vegetarian food options. I ordered mostly North Indian dishes and it was really yum and the quantity was also very good. Baby Corn 65 starter is also a must try.

Atmosphere is good. Foods are also good specially- Chole Bature, South Indian Meals. You may find Lot's of Dosa items here. Tea and filter copy also available here. Price of foods seems to me costly. They charged GST on Prices written on menu card.
Anandi Seshadri
No ac in the ac hall. Very hot and sultry. Service was very friendly and prompt. However we took away pav bhaji and there were several black thread like things coming in every morsel. Very disappointed n worried Attached photo.

Starters were good. Liked the service and atmosphere. Dry Gobi and dry mushroom fry was very tasty , must try. Coffee was the best of all. It was strong but not strong enough if u love strong coffees.

Recently visited this place for breakfast and really enjoyed it.

Delicious food 100/100 for hygiene Excellent sevice Well trained staff

Probably A2B is the only restaurant that serves South Indian meal that doesn’t have dal in it. Meal proportions are very less that would be suitable for kid maybe if I diet i would prefer it.and the hygiene part in this COVID crisis, seal less box and left open papad with receipt...overall worst unsatisfied meal
Paras Kukreja
In a city like bangalore you can enjoy the crisp of south indian cuisine with the best quality being served here. Thankyou for making mh college life so good and your cheap dosas and idlis have been my all time favourite .
Rajesh B
Quantity very very less
This A2B at bommasandra seems to be less taste when compared to other branches, for snacks and beverages it is a good one.
Ramesh Mohan
We were rugular visitors to A2B bommasandra and have always loved their food. Today we ordered home delivery & I must say, quite disappointing ! We had ordered porotta kuruma, but what was delivered was masala(bhaji) . How can you eat? No raitha either. For 2 masala dosas, 1 plain dosa and 1 ghee pongal they gave 1 small packet of chutney & sambar. Even a small restaurant would give sufficient chutney & sambar. I had mentioned as a comment while ordering to give extra sambar & chutney. Overall quite disappointing..
Mani
I ordered for 2 mini meals & got only one. When asked the delivery executive he asked to contact the hotel & that number is not working. I raised the issue on zomato app & they did not resolve anything.

I ordered ghee pongal and medhu vada.
Pongal was delicious. It had rich ghee flavour.
Medhu vada was crispy and yummy.
It was a very good breakfast but the quantity was less.
Bangalorefoodlife
Very polite and best served south Indian delicacies at very affordable prices. The coffee here is great. Coming to the sweets all are amazing but prices are high compared to others but they match with quality.
Deepti M
Today we placed order twice from this restaurant.
Every item is worth the price and taste and quality is good too.
Ghee Pongal, onion rava masala dosa, chow chow bath, vada sambar, onion dosa.

Ghee Pongal and Keshri bath ( provided along with chow chow bath ) just melts in your mouth.

Every item was good. Happy with quick delivery service as well.
Pradeep Vanapalli
Food is cold before it reaches the table that too a dosa which is kept ready before the order...no AC on because there are very less customers and its so hot inside

I always like the food from A2b. All kind of food is good. Good family ambience. Party hall is also good for small parties but menu is limited and they don't provide dance stage or cake but you can buy same from outside.
Our Fav food are north Indian Thali and mini tiffin.
Ashley
One of my fav place for South Indian breakfast
Must try’s:
Dosa (masala)
Idly
Pongal (melts in the mouth)
Every thing is tasty fresh and quality is good
A bit pricey compared to other veg place
But this place is worth trying for authentic southern cuisine
Pankaj Pandey
Food is really good. Specially their Idli's & Dosa's. Also a savior for those people who come to narayana for their check up.

Little joy which this shop gives to them changes their life. & don't forget to try their desi ghee sweets. Those are too good.

Must try : 14 Idli's

Good place to have South Indian vegetarian cuisine. They have all breakfast items, snacks, meals with main course etc. Food is good but not great. I felt this place is always over hyped. Expensive compared to the price and quantity served. There are many vegetarian options in Bangalore with cheaper and good food.
Overall good place, but definitely not the best.
Sachin Goel
One of the best outle for vegetarians. Their south indian is so good specially sambhar vada and dosa. Their vada pao was yummy and their paneer sandwich. A good option for a good dining.
Food_Monk_/\_
Very Nice Place for having a genuine South Indian Dish and delicacies.

The sweets are bit costly but they are made of good quality ghee and raw materials.

The staff is quite courteous and swift in maintaining cleanings and serving food.

A nice food joint to visit.👌👍

Best place for pure and traditional food for vegetarians..I recommend to have their mini Tiffin for breakfast and south Indian thali and North Indian thali for sure with out missing..awesome taste

A2b is famous and weLL known for South Indian dishes. We ordered a tiffan combo which contains of pongal, vada, mini masal dosa, kesari, two iddli and types of chutney. Dosa was soo crisp and yummy. Pongal was extrodinary. Kesari was filled with ghee😋. Iddli was too soft and sambar is finger licking good. Overall had a Happy yummy tummy. The reason for four stars is that we ordered even filter coffee which was slightly over powered with coffee powder that made the Coffee lil bitter. Otherwise had a great tummy filled breakfast 😋😋😋.
BobbYourUncle
This is the beauty and the bane of restaurant chains. A2B is popular all across the city and also all along the highways - practically in every direction that you go from Bangalore. The food is standard, most often tastes good. We usually end up here, at the Narayana Hrudayalaya Branch (there is another one in Electronic City proper) for a quick breakfast - the dosas, the pooris, the vadas are all good. The mini-breakfast is a must-try too. Sometimes we come over for dinner - the rotis, the naans, the vegetable dishes (both dry and gravy) are also good. Rarely, we come only for the chaats - like we did today. The pav bhaaji and the bhel poori were nice - the cheese pav bhaaji was a little disappointing - they put the ready-to-use mozarella shredded cheese which doesn't add flavour to the simple bhaaji.

Don't forget to stop at the sweet stall on the ground floor - the adhirasam is quite good and the baclava turned out to be a nice surprise.

I am a South Indian and was always in search of restaurants with great and tasty South Indian recipes. Finally I visited your restaurant and fell in love with South Indian traditional meals and Rice with drumstick sambar. Our family is completely satisfied with your quality food that too with a really very hot serving. Thanks and I will definitely keep visiting.
Shainitha Keshav
Felt very happy by visiting A2B restaurant this time with my family. Had a great time at this South Indian Restaurant. All the South Indian varieties which we tried were excellent in taste and served hot. Especially I really liked South Indian Traditional meals. Thank you A2B for making my day precious.
Smarty
Typical South Indian vegetarian restaurant. Got quite all varieties in South Indian dishes plus chats, Chinese. Also for huge varieties of sweets 😋. Ambience is ok but mostly it's crowded. Price wise it's on higher side.
Samir Acharya
A quite familiar chain for South Indian breakfast with 30+ outlets in Bangalore. Like heading their for a morning breakfast. The food is hygienic and fresh. A strong filter coffee is always recommended to be part of your breakfast platter here. Also, they serve some brilliant options for Chaats, Pav Bhaji, Chhole Bhature etc. Raj Kachori Chaat is my favourite here. You may choose to dine in the ground floor with self service or 1st floor which is a service area.

Happy EATING!
Anusha.ms2010
Must visit place for South indian breakfast items. Pesarattu was roasted with ghee and yummy. Filter coffee is gud. Self service and busy place.
Sumit Karmakar
Food is good, but we have ordered two items for parcel, but the food they provided was not the same as orderer. Apart from that the food here is tasty and healthy.
Nishit Sadual
If we are looking for a South Indian cuisine, this is the restaurant you should try! I had stayed in a nearby Hotel and regularly used to have my breakfast here. I had Idlis, Bara, Masala Dosa, Rava Dosa etc. All tasted great! The service was quick although thy used to process a lot of orders in any given time which shows the popularity of this restaurant.
Nikhil Pillai
The customer experience at this outlet is horrible. People literally have to wait for half an hour at the counter watching online deliveries being packed. The management of this outlet should take cognizance of the below mentioned.
Your tables lie empty while your counter area is crowded... Have you wondered why? Don't you think this signals massive inefficiencies.
Some consumer feedback that might be valuable:
1. Assign a token system from the cash counter to delivery counter so people can wait at their tables. This will lead to better consumer experience and less stress on your employees
2. Focus on one of the following: online delivery or walk in customers. If it is online you are focusing on then reduce number of tables. If it is walk-in that you are focusing on then you should define better terms of service with Zomato/swiggy
3. In case you want to focus on both then you need to scale up manpower and define processes like any fast food chain does. Your employees run around like headless chicken wasting time and effort.

If you don't make changes soon you will soon see the walk-in contribution being replaced by online orders and your overall size of business decreasing. Don't you think then online players can leverage their position to their advantage.

Think carefully about this. Your food is actually good, your negative reviews are largely attributed to service experience.
Aayush Jain
The sweetcorn soup was extra sweet as if sugar was added. Fresh soup and milkshakes were listed on the menu but was not available. The food was not that bad. Service was quite poor. Their ragi roti seems dangerous.
Yogesh Suryawanshi
One of the best spot in electronic city, to enjoy an amazing chat cuisine. They have various options available in each and every type of chat. The fruit juices are freshly made and the savour is perfect.

I wouldn’t even bother writing a review nor rate these guys because it’s sheer waste of energy.
But for the community, let’s do this.
This place is close to Narayana Hridyalaya hospital in Bommasandra, I wanted to takeaway some items and the guy in the counter was so arrogant, it seems like they don’t really care about the customers coz they get plenty anyway.
The guy said we are out of containers so we aren’t going to parcel.
It’s like a half decent eatery on thar junction and most people travelling would stop there for the brand name, not realising the pathetic service.

I went there the next day to give them another chance, ordered for a rava dosa, onion uthappam, kesari baath, filter coffee and a cold badam milk.
It was very crowded, me and my friend managed to get a table, the dosa’s took half hour to come, the billing queue took 20 odd min coz there was just one counter.

Kesari Baath
It came in abundance it was like a dump of sand on the plate, (I’m not kidding) it was so bad.

Rava Dosa
It was like eating pongal, more likely they made the dough with the left over pongal. I dont want to comment about it.

Onion Uthapam
Their sambar is bad, their chutney is decent and the dosa wasnt even cooked, I could see the dough on the sides.

Filter Coffee
Theres a guy outside who makes coffee, he is so arrogant that he wanted me to take a coffee which was already made and the previous customer had declined it coz there were flies on it. I politely said it’s not my problem make a fresh one, which he obliged to.
The customer was kind he walked upto me and said I hope you din’t take that coffee, it had flies all over it.

Badam Milk
It was 80 bucks for a glass of badam milk, it was the only thing that was decent, there was abundant badam in it though.
Brace yourselves and your family’s the trauma of A2B’s third class service.
CuppyCupFoodie
Ordered a simple south Indian Thali. They have their fixed menu, which is fast to serve.. To save time we ordered it. Taste was ok..

But asked for 2 extra papad and 2 bowl of tiny curd repeat.. OMG they charged extra money for these.Such tiny bowl of extra curd they are charging...

I asked for extra sambar and sugar to mix in curd, thankfully they didn't charge me in the bill.. 😂😂..

(Extra for papad is acceptable but for curd who charges they have made it buttermilk in the bill) When enquired they said it's for curd.. 😣😣

Visited this place for lunch during week end with family... the service hall will be crowded during weekend... the service is on d slower side... food is great.. ambience is good...

Yesterday i ordered Parotta and onion pachadi in this restaurant. Most of the hotels served reheated Parotta but here A2B restaurant served fresh parotta it's made me happy. Served fresh and soft parotta.

Reasonable price.

Good quality foods served.

Nice restaurant for South Indian and South Indian foods.
Sagar Pati
To begin the Dosa quality was OK. But not great compared to the price they charge. I had ordered in the past ghee roast dosa, masala plain dosa and idli.we also had a dine out experience at A2b Ec. Same experience. Food taste when compared with the price we pay is not at all worthy to be appreciable.
Sangeetha Karanth
We saw a rat running in the first floor of the restaurant and when we pointed it out to the waiter, he acknowledged the presence of the rat and smiled. It seemed like he knew about it but didn't care enough to do anything about it. Never going back and suggest nobody goes there either.
Hemantchawla
Pathetic restaurant. Tried twice not just once before writing the revview. The recent visit had the following experience:

Order taken for the basic item like dosa, after 10 mins we were informed to change the order as the chef suddenly become unavailable. We were forced to order north dishes like dal which was served only half of the portion. Masala papad was served with deep freezed masala, the same was asked to take back and still was charged to bill despite resistance.
Pathetic experience, the staff is very high headed and and had no intent to serve you with courtesy.
Thegobblestories
I visited this outlet on an afternoon for my sweet tooth. Heard a lot about this chain but this outlet disappointed me. Ordered Gulab Jamun, Rasgulla, Rasmallai.

The brand seems big, but poor hygiene. Unfriendly and confused staff - the customer has to request for the table to be cleared and cleaned; and they still do an awful job at it. Ambience is good - wy from the noise & rush. Interiors are well maintained.

They need to work on their prices. Prices are ridiculously high with respect to the kind of service they provide.

The sweets we ordered was a sugar syrup with no taste - complete waste of money. Pretty average place! Deb Debasis

Very poor service . It took one hour to bring the starters. Those were not cooked properly . Not happy with the service . Attitude of a2b team was not acceptable .

This is one of the biggest Adyar Ananda Bhavan
I have visited in bangalore. They have ahuge car parking area too. taste is not as good as other outlets. Pretty average place.

A2B is the only place from where I Have South Indian Food in Electronic City. You 'll find Authentic South Indian Food at very Reasonable price. All in one - Mini Tiffin is my favorite here, Especially because I love to have Kesari bhaat! And Mainly I like this place because they maintain their Quality Consistency unlike the other restaurants where every time you get to taste different Sambhar and chutneys. And Lastly I just love the Filter Coffee ☕ here. The only thing is you have to be on Time , Especially for Lunch hours if not Idlis and Dosas gets over.
Namitha Crazy Foody
Since I went in late almost by 10pm I got only few items. Those were masala roast, ghee pongal, rava masala dosa. Lovely and fresh. They weren't left overs. I told them specifically that if the chutney is from morning set I don't intend to spoil my tummy during Diwali they took 15mins and made it for us which was really enlightening. While leaving i.bought a packet of assorted sweets. Charming as I would say every sweet had an intense ghee taste and I loved it. Let's say moti chur in 5 secs done 😂 thanks guys for a good dinner and happy Diwali

A saviour for every madarasi 😉 when that homesick pangs kick in
Authentic Tamil dishes , especially the breakfast is not one to miss

The crowded noisy ambience , not too friendly staff ,and the overpriced menu are mood spoilers though 😐

Recommendation :
The mini tiffin for breakfast
Ghee Pongal
Sambhar idli
4 to 5 times I went there, but I swear I won't go again. Customer service is pathetic. There will be nobody at the billing counter after much-calling someone will appear with a lot of attitudes. After you get the bill, food counter will pay no attention, after much requests they will take the bill. They will treat you like a beggar. All the staffs have a lot of attitudes.
Rommanne
It is located on the highway and is frequented by travelers to Tamil Nadu. The place has two levels - the ground floor where there is self service. The usual darshini with a steel round table (no seating arrangements). The first floor is the air conditioned hall. I prefer the ambience of the first floor, because I prefer to be seated comfortably while I wait for the food (the food takes a while to reach you since it is freshly prepared). But the prices are definitely lesser in the ground floor in comparison to the first floor ac hall - which is easy on the pockets of the lower middle class who have been traveling for a while to/fro Bangalore and want to grab a quick bite.

This place is a must if you want to taste authentic South Indian Food! Akki Roti, Kesari Bath, Masala Dosa and Rava Idly are some of the dishes I really like here. Not to forget, the decoction coffee. The chaat section is also very popular, but be prepared for a higher price range compared to other local eateries.

The staff could be more efficient. The kitchen is in the ground floor and they take a while to collect orders, go down the stairs, place the order and come back up the stairs with the food - or so they claim. But the food is worth the wait, any day!

A2B targets to the snacking population and also caters to people who want to eat the regular meals - which makes it very popular in the area.
Munmun Sarkar
This is one of the worst place in the vicinity. Went for a team lunch. So everybody kept ordering something or the other, be it mini meals, north indian meals, paratha, chats or chinese items. I tasted their gobi manchurian, chilly mushroom, mushroom 65, some items from the mini meals, roti and juice. In a single word everything tasted pathetic. The chinese items were simply onions and capsicum with hardly any mushroom, too much oil and salt. The overall food and ambience is below the standard of highway side regular eatery and they expect you to pay more than twice what you pay in those places. Moreover the water they serve is simply the unfiltered tap water. There are better places available nearby who serves better food in less than half price. Never going there again.
Sachin Hanchinal
Nice place to have a typical South Indian food ... Sweets here are awesome ... Self service is a worse thing to experience, always crowded ... Missing many Karnataka food
Ramesh
Went on sunday with family to break the fast.

I think the taste is normal as in ordinary hotels.

Self service ,need to stand in queue for both billing & to get the items.

But rates are higher than the normal hotels as the food is served to the tables.

traditionally South Indian cuisine restaurant & Prices were high
Manpreet Singh
Horrible service ever. If they dont hav sambhar , they will still send u dosa and expect u to eat. Moreover they always carry sorry in their pockets to distribute it everytime. Shameless restraunt.
Unchi dukan feeka pakwan

Yesterday I went there around 8:30 pm. I am writing this for ground floor area where they serve quick meals like dosa, pav bhaji, chat etc. Very bad experience, no one cares who the hell are you and what you want. Cashier at front desk giving false information to customers..when I asked him for "pav bhaaji", he told me that "it is empty". But after a while I saw it was being prepared for some customer. Very chaotic and unpleasant atmosphere.
Akshay Hegde
Horrible service, no etiquette. Ac not working, however they charging tax on the same. In our entire dining experience, restaurant staff wanted to shoo us away!
Foodie's Rasoi
One of the worst place to have food, only millionaires can afford this restaurant, and sometimes i feel it would be heavy even for their pocket to spend money here. No work ethics, they have service charge for whatevr you buy, even if it is a self service counter in the ground floor, not sure if no service is done by the staff then for what they are charging service charge. I hope they don't ask for service charge for seeking the availablity of the items.

Truly they are looting people, and taking advantage of the customers as they dont have any other option for south indian food in ecity. Prices are ridiculously high.
On a lighter not i feel that even a guy working there drinks coffee/tea near a stall which is placed outside the restaurant on the neeladri main road, as he/she is scared that even he might be charged for that, and he/she cannot bear that cost.

All in all A2B needs to work on their prices.
Kaushal Thaker
Came for dinner with a big family and had a good experience. The food was a good standard. Though it being a traditionally South Indian cuisine restaurant, the North Indian food was well prepared!! All in all a good place to dine.
Madhaar Khan
Feel like food is good. But, the cost is too high. One normal plain dosa cost you around Rs: 80. one Kadai panner cast you Rs: 191 + service tax.

Too much cost is not good for long term growth boss. Guys need to avoid these kind of costly restaurants for sometime until they charge you reasonable.
Mahesh M
Typically good for tiffin items like crispy Dosas and chennai style pongal. But suggest stay away from south indian thali - Was treated to bleached Rice (soda).
Souptik Gupta
Today at around 12 PM I went there and ordered a mini lunch.. The billing guy didn't return 1 rupee and also didn't give me the bill. He just asked his colleague to give me the food without the token. Later , I tried calling up the toll free number 1800-103-6363 but the response was that the number is not reachable. Also, at the fruit juice counter, the counter guy and his manager were verbally abusing each other and creating a ruckus in front of all the customers.
PRAKASH
One of the beautiful place to eat ,south indian dishes ,made of pure ghee itself ,my favourite dishes are ,podi dosas ,bisi balle bath and mini meals its awesome to eat here.thanks A2A ,as u have good chefs here
Deepthi S
Just realized that A2B is the restaurant franchise that I have most visited. All in one breakfast - mini tiffin is my favorite here. Today's special sweet pongal was delicious!
Antara Srivastava
A2B is one of the few places I visit a lot. You'll find authentic south Indian food at a very reasonable price. They usually have lounge in their restaurants and you also get to buy sweets.
Parthipannair
Wonders happen in vegetarian restaurants some time A2b is one of the very good hotel for Veg lovers also breakfast & savouries items
Rasagulla we love to have after the meal we did that too
Himanshu Pathrana
Great South Indian food. Dosas are yummy! If you have a sweet tooth then go to A2B and you will be delighted. It's like the Haldiram's of South. But for a North Indian pallet sweets are just about ok. Rasmalai could have been better. All in all, a good place.
Mahesh Mahadevan
Good food .. ordered home delivery twice from here ... Fast and on time delivery .. usually prefer to have the miNi tiffin which is good and filling. North Indian dishes need improvement in taste. Worth for all south Tiffin's , snacks and chats
Urvi Sanghvi Shah
super food ...Not only southindian ....but the chaats and punjabi food is also good.
Good relief for people who live in electronic city...:)
Promita
Had north indian combo home delivered from here through swiggy and i must say, it was awesome both quantity and taste wise. It had roti, masala rice, curd rice, dal fry, two types of sabji, salad, raita, papad - and all this for 150 only.
We also had fruity ice cream and mushroom soup. All the foods were nice in taste except mushroom soup. It was cold when delivered and so was not appetizing at all.
Abhishek Bansal
Overpriced for usual south Indian dishes like dosa, idli etc in South India.
Tea is 25 rupees which is not worth.
Ambience is good. Interiors are well maintained. Service is good. Food is ok but sometimes more oily.
Had dinner buffet at offer day during inauguration and it was all messed up cold food.
Hima Bindu
Folks! This is one joint I will never venture to order again! On a week end afternoon, i have ordered North Indian thali and some Gajar ka halwa for my sweet tooth. Order was placed at 12.30. It was supposed to be delivered in 40 minutes. However, the restaurent kept on postponing and finally delivered at about 2.45pm(yes, you heard it right!) Food was cold and roti/naan was saggy. Carrot halwa was awful! I was totally disappointed with the food and service! May be it is a decent place to go and eat, but for home delivery , it is a clear no!!
Siddharth Jain
One of the worst experiences in Bangalore so far... Arrogant, unfriendly and confused staff. Prices are extremely over the top with respect to service provided.

Shortcomings
1. Never go for Punjabi food - I guess they are nascent with regards to Punjabi food. Extremely disappointed with Paneer Butter Masala. It was exactly 8 smallest pieces of Rubbery Panner in Tomato Puree with no slightest taste of butter. N they call it Panner 'Butter' Masala. God knows why!!!

2. Plain Cheese Sandwich - Takes minimum 20 mins to prepare this simplest-of-all dish and when asked for to prepare fast, what you get is a Harsh n Angry look

3. Veg Biriyani - Taste was okay. But when asked for the unfinished Biriyani, what we get back after reaching home is literally half the quantity. Guys seriously??

4. Filter Coffee - Well, thatz 1 thing which is flawless and calms you down after the disgusting service

Visit again: Never!!
Guys please work upon the flaws if you want to sustain and flourish.
Balaji Bodduluri
A2B you always expect something more... This outlet is not as good as the one in BTM. But to people around Narayana hrudayalaya have no other options especially veggies. Pongal is good here.
HarmanJeet Singh
Horrible service.... Food of choice(menu item) is not available...even selected item is switched with something else ..... Waiter wants customer to eat food of their choice.... Never recommend this place even to ur enemies.... Instead kill them
Shivam Sarin
This place serves amazing South Indian Food. The dosas and idli vadas are good. Also the coffee they serve is amazing. Good service and tidy place. Don't go here for North Indian Food you'll be ripped off it's expensive.

1. Rude and slow and bad service.
2. Unclean toilets
3. Not family friendly
4. Worst A2B in Bangalore !!!

This place is crowded just because there is not other hotels nearby with parking and toilets !! Nothing more .. Nothing less .. If you can save your hunger for another 10 minutes, please go to Electronic City A2B.
Ravish Verma
This place is just 100 mts from my place. So an ideal place for me to go after food and have some sweets or badam milk. Ras malai, kaju katli, rasgulla, badam milk are the things I've tried till now and all were up to the mark.
Sri Raghuram
Ghee Ghee Ghee 😉 high quality vegetarian food served with high quality ghee !!! Worth for money what we pay! But getting service tax for self service is unacceptable!! And also rasagula is not gud as expected.. It was so hard to eat!

We are Adyarites and were visiting Bangalore. Stopped by a2b as it's our home restaurant. But we were highly disappointed by the food quality it was so cold at 1 pm. My concern is on the service end. While standing in queue for order the food I saw the cashier providing candies along with the cash. I was wondering about this. But when its my turn the cashier din't provide the exact change. He has to provide me the change in 6 rupees, but he gave me a 5 Rs chocolate and no 1 re.When I demanded for my money the manager came justifying that he doesn't have coins. So how many 1 rupee they will steal from us per day. Also when they buy candies they will buy as a lot. So obviously it's far below the MRP. And the money stolen(yes it's stolen) from us is unaccounted and it's the black money. Never thought A2b will do this. But this never happened in Adyar branch.. thank God.
Shilpa Chikkars
I visited this outlet when I was at Narayana Hrudayalaya to see a relative. I usually like the food in a2b but this outlet disappointed me.

We went there around 11ish for breakfast and they didn't have most of the breakfast items as they were preparing for lunch.
No idly, no masala dosa or rava masala nothing with masala.

We ordered for rava idly, rava onion dosa, Pongal, vada and Kesari bath

Rava idly- was dry and only had dal, ginger and curry leaves. No veggies or cashews unlike the ones you get in other restaurants in Bangalaore. It was a little hard as well. Didn't taste good either
Rava onion dosa- it was average. The onions were mostly raw and although the dosa was crispy
Vada- we asked for vada Sambar but got vada with chutney and very little sambar separately. When we asked for proper vada sambar like vada dipped in sambar, they said they would charge us extra 10rs for that. I found it a little weird. I'm not sure if this is the trend in Bangalore as I have been out of the city for a few years now.
Kesari bath- it was so sweet that I got a headache after eating 2 spoonfuls. It was very sweet, no cashews or raisins. It tasted like rava in sugar syrup.
Pongal- I saved this for the last as this was the only item which was good. It had all the right flavours in place. It was like melt-in-the-mouth kind of Pongal.

Filter Coffee is mandatory after a South Indian breakfast. Coffee was strong just the way like it.

All in all, my perspective about a2b has changed, unfortunately not in a good way. I hope the quality improves soon

Verdict:
Food-2/5
Service- 3/5
Value for money-3/5
I want to give -5 rating.. hospitality is worst. Whatever food item u ask here they say it's over.. I don't know where. They prepare and when it gets over. Even masala dosa is over by 11am. Which is a flagship product south Indian food those everything u don't get it here sorry. Better go to any mobile van canteen or any other small shop rather than going electronic city a2b. And still they use plastic here. Whcih is ban in Karnataka to save ecosystem

I was thrilled and happy to see that A2B is finally at Ecity. Love the Pongal, Dosas and pretty much everything over there. It is a tad too expensive. But good food is pricey

Pretty crappy. Very rude staff. Go here if you want the regular - WHY THE HELL HAVE YOU COME HERE! Treatment. Food is very average, very similar/ worse than shanti sagar kinda of fare. Fantastic place to go to waste your money while being abused for being there. The great thing is they have managed to achieve this level of perfection in all their branches.

I love the A2B chain and make it a point to visit one whenever I'm in Bengaluru. The chutneys are what makes the difference between a2b and other restaurants. I recently went to this particular outlet located in electronic city and had a hearty brunch. The most laudable part is the hygiene maintained. Also their efficient billing system. The staff are courteous and friendly. The food - ghee dosa, vada, sada dosa was yum. I also had one filter coffee which was perfect. Overall a great experience.

If you crave for simple veg food with little hygiene in EC area, this is the only hope. Mini meals and normal meals are good. Taste-wise its good. In lunch time, its very crowded, so you may need to wait to find a place. But cost is reasonable and satisfying.

I have been to several outlets in A2B outlets in Bangalore. But this one is outstanding with the service, quality consistency and taste. My extended working hours leads to this place recently for a brekkie and totally overwhelmed with Pongal & some of the dosas. The restaurant ambiance is similar to other A2b outlets, it's contemporary though! They need to work on pricing. Since, most of the dishes are on expensive side. A recommended A2b outlet in Bangalore.

The food is decent but half the things they doesn't have, wen asked for rashmalai not available sheera not available vada not available...no spoon they give you to eat...they expect everyone to have with hand...when u ask for - they will give disposable spoon
Food
Worst service you can expect . I have seen this hotel chain grow from my child hood days . They have forgotten customer and his requirements... Ideally you beg the manager to take your orders and you pay premium@ price for same .. Has got its popularity only because of "vegetarian" tag ... I will continue till have another choice ...
