Review Delicacy - Bengaluru

This was once a very vibrant place with diners from different backgrounds (including foreign students) enjoying their Chinese, Thai and other South East Asian delicacies. I think Covid changed all that. Now, one doesn't find any diners, only a steady stream of delivery boys from Zomato, etc. That's why probably the owners have not bothered to make the place comfortable for diners. The interiors are in very poor shape. This place still serves really good Chinese, Thai and other South East Asian delicacies, at very reasonable prices. One can enjoy delicious Pad Thai Noodles, Red / Green Thai Curry at a fraction of what they would pay at other similar restaurants. They make excellent Honey Chilli Potatoes, Noodles, Fried Rice, and other Chinese items. Today, the Tom Yum soup was dangerously sour (it is known to be sour and spicy, but today it was dangerously sour and damaged my taste buds) For a very long time, the restaurant also has a practice of serving complimentary fried wantons just after customers place orders. I am happy that they haven't changed this practice. If you don't mind the poorly maintained interiors and just want to eat good food at reasonable prices then this is the place for you.

My favorite hangout place with my brothers. Food is great and service is good. You don't have to wait too long after placing the order. The ambience is good, spacious. Affordable price with good quantity of food. Taste is enjoyable. Handwash place can be better.

The food is excellent. The interiors are in shambles, but people are friendly. Food is served in very good quantity and is very economical. The Schezwan dishes are very good. The pork roast is super. Honey shredded chicken is yummy. They do home delivery too

If you're looking for a quality and quantity it's the best Chinese restaurant. I usually hang out with friends for a dinner when running out of cash. Its my month end hang out. You must try chilly basil chicken and stew rice which would always be my part of the order. Service is excellent and they at times provide you complimentary wonton which is yummy and keeps you occupied.

An excellent Chinese restaurant in this area. Their Namprick chichen is must try. Decent ambience with friendly staff. Babboo clear soup is my favourite.

The place stands by it's name. It's delicious and delicate. You get authentic food and quantity is huge. One noodles would fill 3 24-30 yrs adult. Soup is simply awesome. Our frequent order here is soup, rice & noodles. Price for momo may look higher but with size and taste you will not regret

Good Chinese Restaurant who loves Chinese foods. I had a Pepper Lemon Chicken Soup there and it was awesome. Even ½ is more than enough. Even for every order there will be some complementary dish. Ambience in Day hours is pretty good than night hours. Lightings are bit low and gloomy. Partnered with Swiggy and delivered anywhere. Good Staffs and behavior.

The food here is to die for! The place definitely deserves more recognition. If you're craving asian food I would strongly recommend this place.

My go-to place for Chinese. They deliver so I don't need to pay swiggy or zomato. Food is yum with good quality and quantity. Love their Namprik chicken. Have been their customer since last 12 years.

Everyone in my family ended up with an upset stomach after eating food ordered from here. Really disappointing and expect extra care to be taken considering the current situation.

Had ordered noodles veg combo. Noodles (3.3 rating) and baby corn Manchurian (3.7 rating) noodles were lacking flavour(bland taste) felt like eating plain noodles with carrot nd cabbage, nd baby corn Manchurian was average.Quantity was good.

Damnn the quantity is so much that it can be had by 2 people. And the taste is very good..i must say that the pricing is very well done compared to other restaurants. For this quantity and price, you would never find any other restaurants nearby..trust me..<br/>My only request is please don't provide such hot food items in plastics containers as it's really bad for health as you people know.<br/>Hope this will taken into consideration sooner or late

Ordered manchow and wanton soup from this place...quantity too good ...one pack was more for 2 people....however the negative point was the fried noodles that they sent for manchow soup....either it was old stock or it was fried in used oil....the fried noodles has a very bad smell ...after adding that in soup we could not have the soup due to foul smell...

Ordered noodles from this place. It had no salt and bland. Did not enjoy my meal. Guess it was made in a hurry as the hour is late.

The food I ordered was pathetic and felt stale . It was very spicy and didn’t feel like Chinese or Thai food. The veg Mee Goreng was nothing like this description. Worst food I’ve had in a long time

Please don't go by the rating I wonder why they have given such a good rating where in the food was blunt. Fried rice was mentioned as spicy but it was hopeless lollipop was stale. Looked like a street food rather as it wasn't hygienic

This place is really made for mouth watering hot momo's and yum-yum noodels.<br/>I went in evening for having snacks. They serves the quality of food so nicely that it reminds me to visit again.

We Ordered food from this place, but the food we received was very stale, even though it was hot , the Ingredients might have been 2 to three days old as how they smelled. There was a bit of pungent foul smell coming when we opened the parcel containers . Immediately complained Swiggy and asked them to let the restaurant know. Very Dissapointed.

One of my favourite places in the locality for chinese food. They serve hot and yummie soups. Manchow is a must try. The portion is a nice quantity for 2 people. Also the spring rolls and momos are tasty. I would recommend the place to all chinese lovers.

Have ordered from this place twice and man, it did not disappoint! First of all, in the era of serving and delivering miniscule quantities of food (once I was delivered literally 2 spoons of Momo chutney), this place delivers very good quantity. It also doesn't compromise on the quality of food. We have ordered both main course and soup in the past and everything has been excellent. Definitely worth eating from here for both the quality and quantity of food!

I ordered crispy chicken hunan style.. It was nice.. I have ordered multiple times and it was one of my favourite fish as well.. But today I got little burnt chicken and more over I felt chicken was also old.. It was not at all tasting good and disappointed with the quality as well. Very bad<br/>

I've been in Bangalore for quite a while and in all this time no matter where I've shifted homes, Delicacy has been a constant there. I've always loved their food. Dragon chicken, pad Thai noodles, basil chicken, manchow soup are some of my favorites. All in all comforting Chinese food!

Just ordered a non veg burnt garlic fried rice from this resturaunt and i gt a "BUG" alone with it. This was a good resturaunt. Now I dnt trust anyting from this. Photo attached the zomato customer support guys are not even replying. Very disappointing. Please be careful while ordering.

I'm a sucker for the Buddha's delight and the spring rolls here and these guys just nail it every time. I've tried various items on the menu and the quality and consistency has been great.<br/>My first order thru Zomato too was at this place, and they matched their price with quantity as well.<br/><br/>Keep it up guys! Delicacy is definitely my go to place to cater to my chinese cravings. The quality and quantity both are really good.<br/>My only complain would be that their Pad Thai is average and needs to be worked on.

The rating made me order from here. And I ordered chili chicken and noodles. Something tasted like it had gone bad in noodles and they delivered a fried rice instead of the chili chicken. Really disappointed.

Ordered for tofu with hot bean sauce but they gave me paneer instead and they tried to justify that by saying they serve everyone paneer. First they get the main ingredient wrong which is in the name of the dish itself then their excuse is that they do this to everyone so its alright. Safe to say going to avoid this place but i definitely recommend the Delicacy in Banaswadi they are much better. The kalyan nagar branch is just awful

Doesn't it happen to you: You have a friend whom you have never physically met but keep in contact with or talk quite often AND they get you?<br/>Delicacy, to me, is that friend. I have never visited the restaurant but I order atleast twice from them in a week.<br/><br/>Superb Noodles, Fried Rice and Choupsey! The main course is good enough but the starters can do better: they have an abnormal amount of cornflour in them.<br/><br/>All in all, great taste and economic with more than enough quantity of anything you order, Delicacy is one of the best places for Chinese.<br/><br/>USP: Superfast delivery!<br/><br/>To even more orders from here and a possible visit!

Had taken home delivery of food from here on a Sunday evening and the experience was horrible. Thai green curry was delivered in red colour and tasted something else - when checked with the restaurant they claimed to not have "green colour!! The funny part- they did not even bother to notify before delivering the order to check if I wanted a change of dish.<br/>Ordered Siu Mai (dimsums) and found an insect in the same half way thru. Did not even dare to try the third item! Food overall of whatever little we had was definitely below par! No idea of the ambience as I had taken a home delivery but nevertheless this place is a strict no for me.

I've ordered food via Swiggy. What I realize is the food is different when you have it in the restaurant than parcel.<br/>1. I am rating this 3 only be cause I like - Chicken Ginger Capsicum Rice (However, there was no capsicum)<br/>2. Thai Chilli Basil Chicken  - Is really bad, where is the Basil? it is full full full of coating flour.

Very spacious, full of lights and day time lot of natural light, very open space, helpers are very polite and friendly. Little language problem since it takes them twice to understand what you say. Other food is brilliant, welcome with wantons, followed by starters and fries, then the main dish with big portions of meat.<br/><br/>Must try honey pork ribs and chicken lovers have a lot of options in the list. Hunan chicken, dragon chicken, then comes in the prawns, nicely cooked and flavored. Rice items are also good, must try the Nasi goreng if you are looking for a good mixed flavors in main course. Momos are awesome both chicken and pork.<br/><br/>They also have many beverages like regular cold drinks and lime ginger, lime mint cooler, pudina cooler, etc to help all of this down. Taste can be improved a lot, especially they add the starch and chicken broth in many of their dishes, which can be avoided, that makes it look sticky and adds gluten. No acidic reactions however the foods you eat gets digested easily.

Went there with friends for lunch. The ambiance is nothing fancy, so the rating only for food. We really ordered Chicken Fried Wontons, Crispy Chicken in Hunan Sauce for starters and got a plate of veg fried Wontons complementary! For mains we went with Chicken Chilli garlic noodles, Chicken butter garlic rice, and Hunan chicken. The taste was pretty decent and the quantity was really good for the price you pay. Overall we had a nice experience.

I have order at 11.30 thinking will have early lunch and food was delivered by 1pm, that becos Zomato Delivery guy  had another delivery somewhere else!!  so he has to go there first and then find his convenience    to drop food in my place. am not sure how  Zomato can decide who's Order is to be delivered first!<br/><br/>The food had no taste, Chicken Gravy was very salty. Noodles were Okay kind. not happy at all about the quality of Delicacy and very unhappy with Zomato delivery.. that was worst.  How can I be punished beocs he has another delivery so my food got late!

Overall not a very satisfactory experience as opposed to the expectations I had from Delicacy.<br/><br/>We had ordered for Chicken Drumstick (Manchurian). The taste was rather bland and a bit of salt and sweet n sour sauce would have done the work. <br/><br/>The pork noodle and the veg fried rice didn’t taste any better and different, missing a bit more of salt and flavour.<br/><br/>The crispy baby corn in the starter tasted good.<br/><br/>The sauce of the Nam Prik chicken tasted much better among all things we had eaten by now. However the chicken in the gravy was more of the outer coating of the corn flour than a chicken piece inside it.<br/><br/>I guess taste and the quality of the food is what Delicacy needs to work on more than anything else to set it apart from its competitors around the area. I wish them all the best and I hope someone is reading these reviews and working on continuous improvements.

Ordered the Thai green curry. Tasted like some Chinese curry instead of Thai . Was just some gravy thickened with Cornflour . wouldn't order that again.

Never expected this type of food from Delicacy when I am a regular customer of this restaurant. I think the chef must have forgotten to add salt and instead added spoons full of sugars in the chicken garlic gravy! Taste was awful and it was waste of time and money

This place has saved my sorry penniless a*** plenty of times. Their quantity is massive, as a result I can mange to have my 3 meals a day with just one order. I love food, and I accidentally came across this restaurant. The food is quite average, not exactly Chinese, but changed for the Indian taste buds. But, hey!!!! Like I said earlier HUGE portions plus varieties to opt from, so why complain, right?<br/>Shout out to the staff there. Friendly people for sure!!

delicacy is always my to go restaurant. this time I ordered momos and non veg soup. the momos had no salt and the flour was just too thick. the last time I ordered fried rice there was no as well and the rice was over cooked. so I'm really kinda disappointed with the food they have been serving lately

The packing charges are not justified. May be it is to offset the commission paid to Zomato for procuring the order. Anotger reason could be that the new Gst rule fixes the tax at 5%. So the packing cost is to indirectly fleece the customer

The soup was very bad, not at all edible . It is mostly made of cornflour. 3 pieces of vegetables. Need a refund for this.

Thai Red Curry was pretty much bland and tasted nothing like red curry at all. Don't think there was any coconut in it either. Chicken Tom Yum soup was also totally bland too.
