I would like to rate this restaurant 3.5/5 . If you are craving for a good food with some drinks at reasonable pricing then this is the place in Gandhibazar to head to. If you are with family, then they have 2nd floor dedicated especially to them . Alcohol is decently priced as well, they have cocktails available too . They have wide variety of Indian , Chinese , Tandoori , Natti style and Manglorean seafood available to choose from the menu . They serve good North Indian tandoor dishes and one of best Manglorean seafoods . Must try dishes : Chicken kalimirch tikka , Reshmi kabab , Gheeroasts , kori roti , Neer dosa , Donne Biryani , kheema to name few . Overall a good decent place to have some good food with liquor .
Taste :4/5
Ambience: 3/5
Service : 3.5/5
Value for money:4/5
Very nice bar and restaurant for weekend jolly.. ordered non veg flatter , groundnut, chicken biryani, neer dosa....bit expensive but worth visiting
Good And Tasty food. Total 3Floors. Best floor is third floor, Service and staffs are good. Veg & Non-Veg dishes are nice. Good hangout place in Basavanagudi. Mushrooms & Chicken are best.
They have 3 floors, 1st is a little cramped and always full but they have 4 led TVs to catch your fav match.
2nd floor is primarily for family and a non smoking area, it's usually quiet and not crowded
3rd floor is a newly built huge area, more like a covered roof top where the windows are curtains and has good breeze.
The food is brilliant but little pricy, almost everything on these guys prepare is never disappointing. The staff are very warm and courteous but service is a little slow.
I love all the starters. Neer dose/tomato curry or any side dish is delicious.
One suggestion is please stop playing the same playlist from past 10 years, it's just a Kumar sanu and late 90's songs.
They need to really mix it up.. the ambiance is great but pls pls change your damn playlist
Best in taste. Ambiance is very good. Service is very slow.
Egg pudina and red chilly mushrooms were lip smacking. Lighting is good.
Service is slow...so order most of the items at a same time.. They will serve u one by one in a order.
Pricing is not too costly.
Had visited this place multiple times and taking out the time to review now. Typical ambience of a neighbourhood bar. Get quite noisy as the crowds start filling in. Ample seating. They dont take reservations on weekend. Try the top floor, it has good ventilation. Their menu is not updated, since we asked for Bira and were served one but was not mentioned in the menu. I ordered cocktails and were decently made. Food is good and is as per preference. They also serve the local cuisine. All in all its your usual weekend bar and not to be confused with a Pub.
Never did i know that this place existed !!! God damn how did i even miss. Their neer dosa n kori ghasi is to die for !!! And the donne biryani omg loved it. Will keep going back every weekend
Excellent food
The starters are amazing
Try the egg pudina here
And the donne biriyani, dal khichadi, palak rice as well
Excellent ambiance
Totally worth every penny
This is one of my favourite place to booze when I'm stressed out! I have been here more than 50 times and I like few things about this place.
Service is good as I know few who work here. The staff are friendly.
I love there diced chicken since I'm a very spicy eater. I highly recommend this. Whenever I visit this place, the staff get me this along with my beer if I just say "As usual".
This is place is not just like a local bar. It is sophisticated and the ambience is good.
Overall,
Service- 5/5
Food- 4/5
Price- 2/5
Ambience- 4/5
My colleague was referring about this place which is near his house for quite sometime and finally decided to visit on Friday evening after office hours.
Located on Gandhi Bazaar main road which is famed for couple of legendary outlets, you will have ample parking space by side so it won't be an issue during late evening.
The place is located in a building having 3 floors. We were settled in 1st floor which has smoking area. Place is relatively dark with extra dim lightings. Seating arrangements are at one side and the bar is on the other. Staff were courteous we were attended upon immediately.
We ordered for Tuborg green and a plate of onion pakoras to go with it. Service was fast and we were served in next 5 minutes. Non alcoholic one ordered for Fruit Punch.
The combination went well and next thing we opted for was Pramukh's Special Chicken which was basic version of dragon chicken with couple of cashew thrown into it. Taste was quite decent though and another round of beer is what was required. Surprisingly, this also took less than 10 minutes to be served when the place was quite crowded at that time.
To wrap it up, we had prawn kolliwada which was just fried prawns and plate of french fries. I ordered for a cocktail named Chi Chi which was vodka based and had ice cream and coconut milk added along with a slice of pineapple. Tasted would have been quite similar to Pinacolada if rum was being used.
Final amount came around 2k which seems a bit on costlier side but nevertheless a good place to visit for those who stay nearby and looking for a place to spend some quality time with friends.
One of my favourite restaurant.. me n my guy love this place .
We get varieties in Sea foods n chicken as well .
Good service good
Quantity n quality of the food is really nice .
Donne Biryani they make is awesome damn tasty 😋
Me n my guy frequently visit this restaurant n we have sitting for a long time😄😄
Nice location and a place where you get some good delicious food. The portions of some of the dishes are a tad on the smaller side is what I felt. This place does serve liquor and has live music on the rooftop if that suits your taste 😊
Location of the restaurant is very nice and also it is close to my workplace. I am a regular customer to this place. Place has a got a good ambience. Food and drinks are serviced well. Friendly staff and their quick service will you amaze you. Only thing I am looking for is a parking lot.
Pretty decent place.. Nice ambience, nice sea food, good drink😛, mild music, and very friendly staffs.. but they dont have parking facility which is headache..
Place is good. Food is best. The taste of chicken ghee roast was awesome. Only negative point is service. Till snacks n drinks they served well but service was very much show during main course.
Its tough to find affordable bars with good food. Pramukh is the one. Cocktails were good. Chicken starters were so tasty, ask for more spice. Ambience is dull. Would recommend palak rice if not sure what to order because briyani is just another fried rice. No time limits as such, so chill maadi.
This is a small eat out near to my office and we discovered one of the best biriyani there.. Their biriyani unlike the usually served orange colored rice this is the less spicy light colored mughal style biriyani which you will never get bored of..so if you are passing through basavangudi or Gandhi Bazar any day pramukh is a must try.. And also this place is very pocket friendly and you can peacefully have your food there plus the service eis quiet fast too.
The most regular dinner place during our college days. The prices are very less for liquor. Amazing malai kofta, triple schezwan chicken fried rice and masala kulcha. Mouth Watering. Not a place for a date for sure; but can become a permanent destination for friends.
A okay kind of place!
With okay food and services!
Food is not to great!
Once in a while visit!
But they have a good spread of kababs and different kind of gravies!
A dark setting of Bar cum restaurant with a family section and normal section on different floors. Was empty during Saturday afternoon which explains that people mostly come here in the evenings to drink. Not too much was expected of food after that, veg and egg Biriyani were ok in taste and Kadai paneer was too oily a gravy. Though non-vegetarian members of the group did like the Andhra Style garlic chicken and rice. Rates are reasonable. 4 of us are and drank a peg each in 1700.
Pramukh serves best north Indian food in Gandhi bazaar. This restaurant has 3 levels, each with a bar. Decor is fine and crowd differ on each floor. Food is tasty and very reasonably priced too. Portions are good. Service is a bit slow sometimes. I've been to this place many times and their food never disappointed me, its rather a satisfying and fulfilling dinner.
A must visit place to enjoy north Indian food with drinks.
Nice ambience and good place started with lemon chicken and prawns where quantity was very less but taste was nice and continued with panner and mushroom which was as same as chicken
Roti and malai kofta was awesome
Nice place and service was good as it was a rainy mid weekday evening
Drinks 🍸 are affordable and served well...
Not so heavy on your pocket..
A good place to dine in..
Fantastic decor...great service and all the food we ordered were really seasoned well and tasty!..The paneer manchurian and baby corn chilli we ordered were real good...French fries were real hot and spicy!! Was surprised to see such a good place not seen by me fr the last few years since I ve been going right by it....Wil go back again for sure to explore more!
Been here twice. Starters are good, specially paneer tikka and malai kebabs. Drinks are not so expensive compared to other pubs. Decent ambience. Service is a bit slow but this is the best and affordable non veg restaurant serving alcohol in Basavanagudi.
Best non veg eatery in Gandhi Bazaar. All tandoori dishes are a must try. Biryani is very tasty. Chinese items are also very good.
The ambience is pretty good. Food served is tasty and hygienic. Cost is a bit high but affordable.
Cutting to the chase... Awesome tandoori and kababs at this place. Eat out your heart's fill at this place. The main course items also seemed pretty good. Ordered the butter chicken myself and it was truly finger licking good.
This place is with a difference.. Located in d busy lane of Gandhi bazaar.. At first it may just seem like a bar n rest.. But they do have the family space.. Food tastes good n is different from normal.. must try the chefs special stuffed mushroom..
this is a very convenient place for a drink for me. closeby to where i live. have been visiting here for quite sometime now. the first and second floor have been there for long and yeah as the photo looks, is a bit dimly lit and everything. However they have started service in the third floor as well which is well lit and also has open windows so its airy as well. this floor also has live music.
coming to the food, it is tasty, neat and not too expensive. barring a couple of dishes which was not to my personal liking, majorly its good. the starters both chicken and veg are neatly done and well served.
Service has been pretty good for me all the while, except for one occasion where there was some issue with the beer being served (Kingfisher premium: it had absolutely no fizz) and when brought to their notice, got a reply that its not our mistake, manufacturing issue. We changed the brand eventually. But otherwise its pretty quick, guys are courteous and havent really encountered any rude behaviour yet.
So if in Gandhi bazaar side, this would be a really nice, not-so-expensive place for some liquour and some good food.
Had been there a couple of months ago with friends.
The place has great ambience with lovely food and beer. The service was good and fast. Had been there for a Sunday afternoon brunch.
Definitely love to visit again especially for the non veg and the draught beer.
On a dull Saturday evening, my friend saved me from boredom and we decided to hang around over a mug. Four of us first went to Soho pub in Gandhi Bazaar, but two of my friends did not quite like the place, while we were thinking where to go, we saw Pramukh bang on the opposite lane. Couldn't believe we had a decent looking bar and restaurant in Gandhi Bazaar, in Basavanagudi.
Entrance is cramped, a narrow staircase leading to first and second floor. As always first floor was crowded, and full of smokers. We were promptly sent to second floor, which is actually for family and is a no smoking area. Inside, place looked pretty decent, with large wooden tables, and wooden chairs.
Menu was usual run-from-the-mill. Ordered egg-chilly, couple of spicy veg and chicken starters, along with beer. Service is good, and the staff is responsive. Befriended the hotel Manager, and he helped us with our food, which turned out to be tasty and spicy. Price wise, considering there aren't many bar and restaurant's in Basavanagudi, its worth.
Now, they have a roof-top on third floor, but cannot see much apart from trees and couple of roof-top tanks of neighboring homes and mobile towers. A good place to hang around. I'd visit again.
I was very hungry after my college .. me and my friend thought of visiting this place .. the food is really amazing .I really loved it . But the service is slow ... Overall I liked this place
In a location that do not offer many non veg restaurants this is a pretty decent one.Its very easy to locate in the Gandhi bazaar main road next to Shivsagar. Lounge is on first floor.Second floor is the family dining area .I saw some posters regarding gazal in third floor not sure though.
Ambiance:good
Its spacious and hygienic.Pendant lights gave yellowish glow to the interior.
Food
STARTERS: We ordered fish kebab and chicken sukka. They were served hot and wonderful at each bite.
MAINS: CHICKEN Maharaja and Ghee roast with rumali roti and butter naan.
All were equally good except Chicken ghee roast.Terrible !It tasted like some masala powder.
Service:good
Le Shamin Anand !! Thanks for dinner :D
Good place to hang out with friends to have dinner. Has medium ambience, good value for money. Slightly slow service though.Has an attached bar, so a good place to visit after exams :-P

Let me tell you the story of my first visit to Pramukh.. One of my friend who had come to bangalore and thinking to go for nice dinner with Drink... Finally we found this restaurant, while driving. Surprised to see this in Gandhi Bazzar and finally went... There are 2 Floor, First floor with fine dining and good ambiance..
There is one AC dining area too, it was too crowded.. Then one of the staff said they have service at 2nd Floor too... So finally found some place to sit in 2nd Floor... Dining area is so neat and great ambiance.. Drinks were not expensive compare to other useless pubs in Bangalore... Food was amazing especially we ordered Panner Tikka, Gobi Chilly and Peanut masala... Coming to the main course, we ordered butter roti's and Dal Tadka - This is the place where i had perfect "Dal" and Veg Biriyani was so yummy.. Overall experience was good, since then i am going often.
Taste: 4/5

It becomes hard to find a decent restaurant near a bus stop, when you seriously do not know the place very well. That's exactly when Zomato steps in for your rescue!
In order to drop my uncle off to the bus station, I had to search a place near to the same. On search in Zomato, Pramukh family restaurant seemed to be a better choice.
The restaurant has a bustling headboard on the main road of Gandhi bazaar road which is opposite to Soho Grill. With an interior of dim lights and divided in two parts in terms of floors, we chose the non-smoking floor.
After choosing a table for ourselves, we were attended to. Ordered the following - Egg chili, Mutton biryani(2), chicken ghee roast, lemon soda(3).
Egg chili was more like egg Manchurian. It wasn't spicy but had the right balance in its taste and was the hero among the other dishes.
Chicken ghee roast did not look like or taste like the authentic chicken ghee roast. It was quite a best attempt to recreate the authentic dish but did not actually nail it. Nevertheless, the chicken was cooked properly, had the masala right, not too spicy & was quite good to eat.
Mutton biryani was a bit of a disappointment. In terms of cooking of rice / mutton, it was all okay but it did not taste like a dum biryani. It tasted more like fried rice. Though it looked delectable, the taste was deceiving.
We left the place quite satisfied after paying around 900 bucks. Very reasonable I say. Oh! And not to forget the makai paan we relished from the paanwala who has his small shop on at the opening of the restaurant.
The eatery is a safe bet if you are around the bus station & want to have good food.
This is one place I go every Friday
Back to pramukhs again and, again they deliver exceptionally well. The starters included baby corn manchurian and paneer chilli. Masala papad was a sheer waste. The main course, the butter naan along with butter chicken was mouth droolingly tasty. The only offset being a tiny bit slow service and a better music would have been better. Ambience is good and again after the dinner, popped in a sweet pan while going back.

Would recommend this place over others if you are nearby Basavangudi. The ambience is very good. The food is exquisite for the cost. The only drawback being slow staff. It is also bar-attached and separate floors for smokers and nonsmokers. After the dinner, there is a sweet pan shop just below the restaurant. It helps you to finish off your meal. Would recommend it anyday except for slow service.
First impression is the interiors. Good looking, decent with proper lighting, clean, and nice spacing for seating n walking space.
Service is good. Food is good, tasty, and well cooked.
Seperate AC room, and television screens everywhere is good during the times of cricket.
Decent price and service. Food is really good. Only improvement needs to happen in ambience. The sitting area is poorly lit. Also the ventilation is poor and gets smoke filled. For non smokers it could be nightmare although there is separate room for non smokers. Also limited options in Drinks and more options could be included.
Absolutely loved chicken dishes , starters and main course was too yum! Asked them to make spicy and it tasted even more awesome ! Do try out binless tandoori and pudina chicken. Bar is attached to it ! No parking space though.
Decent ambience- 3.5/5
Food- 4/5
Service 5/5
Cleanliness- 4/5
The food is great. We ordered Chicken finger and chicken tikka masala and Aloo kulcha.. tasty items. Prices are reasonable
Very Old Bar & Restaurant in Gandhibazar, Chicken Platter, Chicken Tikka,Butter Chicken ,Paneer Manchurian,Mushroom Pepper dry are best only the lighting is dim
Good food would always be good..
Entrance look small and feels its not a family restaurant, but inside is v good. Good ambiance n good taste. Servers r good n quite quick service
Supr and fanatic place to have dinner with family. And foods are excellent. Good supply. Fresh foods.....
Amazing ambiance at Pramukh. Roof top is a smoking zone ( so be aware if you are planning to take family). Food is available at a reasonable rate. Must try and good for health is boiled peanuts masala
Food is very good😊. But you may not appreciate the ambiance 😕.
Food was ok-ok..nothing to be too excited about. They have a floor separately for family. The order was delayed a lot, but that was because we reached off hrs and guess they didnt have a running kichen that time. My bet on Jira rice + Dal tadka went well..
Nice, neat and a cozy place to enjoy your meal with family or friends. It doesn't feel crowded. It's clean and the service is good. It's one of the few good non veg options in that area. I personally don't prefer ordering the Chinese non veg starters here Coz they aren't that great. Go for the other Indian non veg preparations that they have on their menu.
Wonderful food. They did have a nice ventilated roof top which is closed now. As an alternative they have a 3rd floor not that bad either when the food is good.
Family or hang out friends , this place has it all covered.
The must try dish is neer dose and tomato curry, which you won't expect to be served in a bar but you will be surprised after you try it.
The starter and biryani are also amazing.
Cheers.
