Review Whattay Kitchen And Brew - Bengaluru

6 out of 5 for the ambience. Place is great for hangout. Starters were good. Veg main course options are a bit limited and okayish. Since all of us were non drinkers, cannot comment on alcohol. Mocktails were good. Service is very good and staff is very humble. Worth a try if you are on this side of the city.

Good place to unwind from the city. Good space for parking, provides excellent ambiance with nature. Lots of trees around. Had a few beers which were not great, food is okish. There's a good scope for improvement.

Excellent place to enjoy with family and friends. The food was fantastic. The ambience was superb. Seating amidst lush green environment we felt relaxed and happy. This was our second visit to this place. A must place to visit if you stay in South Bangalore. A fun place to bring kids too.

Undoubtedly, one of the top three dining and socializing destinations in Bangalore, tucked away discreetly off Kanakpura Road, offers an abundance of seating and ample parking spaces. As you step in, you're greeted by a verdant oasis, complete with friendly and accommodating staff. This hidden gem comes highly recommended for those residing in South Bangalore, promising a rejuvenating experience amidst nature's embrace—a must-visit for a leisurely escape. This expansive establishment boasts a delightful ambiance, with options including private rooms and even a swimming pool for those seeking a laid-back time. Beyond that, there's the quintessential restobar catering to a diverse clientele. The menu here is impressively extensive, featuring a plethora of delectable options to satisfy all palates. Private gatherings and parties find a welcoming home in this establishment, where the staff's warmth and hospitality extend to every guest.

Fantastic place for hanging out with friends or family. Lovely ambiance, feels like you are on a holiday in a nature rich resort. The food is great, service is excellent. Will definitely go back for more soon.

We had an evening party. They have a wide assortment of veg finger food along with the main course. We ordered their dimsums, cutlet. The food to avoid would be anything which has gunpowder as the spice level was too much to eat. Special call out to try their Lotus stem dish Don't miss out on their desserts. When we visited they had a live performance and all of us enjoyed the collection of the songs played.

The environment of the place is quite calm and good. Our experience was quite mixed. The quality of the soup was not as expected and the soup was also cold. The quality of starter and food was fine. I regret that I cannot recognize it as a delicious food. Parking facility is available. Finally, work is going on on the access road, so be a little careful.

This place is full of amazing vibes with beautiful ambience and nature. They have plenty of sitting area there. Must try there in house beer, LIIT and other signature cocktail. I tried crispy lotus stem, chill paneer, soya chaap, gajar ka halwa. Crispy lotus stem was so delicious with the combination taste of sweet, tangy and spicy but when I ate few laste bite, 4-5 lotus stem sticked to each other and it was completely raw which make the after taste too bad that is why i am giving this place 4 star otherwise this place deserve 5star.

Arguably Bangalore's top 3 places to dine & grab a drink with family & friends place. A hidden gem off Kanakpura Road. It has ample seating arrangement as well as parking slots. A lush green ambience welcomes you along with a friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommended place for those in south Bangalore. A must visit for relaxing outing amidst natural setting.

It was a nice experience with BLR Brewing co. Food taste is simply good and ambiance is looks awesome. Mr.Ramesh who served us food and beverages with polit and calm.

Place is good with more greenery and ambiance.. Food is lite, Onion rings and Lotus stem a good go with liquor’s. The service is quite slow and we need to keep rely on the waiters for any amenities.

Lovely ambience with a pond of colourful fish right in the middle. This keeps all the kids entertained! The service by Mr. Subrata was excellent. He was attentive and quick and served with a pleasant smile. They have a good range of starters, interesting drinks and delicious tresleches. Loved our dinner at Blr Brewing Co 😊

The place is a nice and very good ambiance. The water bodies that they have made in between so you can enjoy the place nicely. They have both indoor and outdoor siting. One can enjoy the ambiance. The food is good in taste but the staff is a little confused. Don't take their Monchaw soup as the noodles which come along with it are not good in taste. The starters and the main course were good in taste. One should go here for ambience and food but the service is not that great.

GREAT VIBE !! A great find on the way back from bannerghata looked up on the map to find a brewery, was skeptical but landed here for lunch Loved the interiors with a koi pond taking centre stage and multiple levels and inside outside seating choices Food was also good ordered the karari roti , some veg pizza and a veg birtani everything was delecious and good quantity Only disappointment were the beer brews on offer they were limited and lacked Some interesting craft options Service was 5 stars 🌟

What an amazing space, and ambience. We ordered their Prawn sukka, cocktails, brownie with vanilla icecream, chco rolls. Everything was too good. Cannot complain about the quality of quantity as such. Will definitely love to be back here once the lockdown is lifted.

Went on women's day! Ordered Pizza and munchies. Both were quick and equally bad. Maybe our veg pizza selection isn't their expertise. Munchies were instant food and nothing seemed freshly prepared. Was with my 1 year old and ordered soup - even that didn't please my taste bud. Ambience was good with loud music.

Visited on women's day. For 15 mins, no one attended to us. They had a lot going on: stalls, events. Finally got seated and ordered smokin pizza ( bland and non spicy), onion rings (just okay), andhra chicken chilli (disappointing), raw banana fry (good), mango bloom drink (tasty) garlic rice and thai green curry(decent). Offer of a free glass of wine for all women dining- it was more half a glass. Paan onsite brightened our meal. Overall average.

Whattay Kitchen and Brew is located off Kanakpura main road. It's joined with Holiday Village Resort which is a pretty famous place around Kanakpura main road. First off, we went there on a slightly cloudy, breezy Sunday afternoon and we fell in love with ambience right away. You done under the breeze of the cool trees. The prices are on the slightly expensive side but owing to the amazing ambience that's been set, I wouldn't complain !
I loved the succulent paneer Tikka. It just melts in your mouth. Crispy corn is an amazing side dish with a glass of smoothly brewed Wit beer. The rothis and kulchas are the best part. Holiday Village is known for their rothis and kulchas and perhaps Whatayy picked it up from them. Must try cocktails include Oozy Boozy and Whiskey Sour. We ordered the Peri Peri veg pizza and it didn't disappoint us. Even the milkshakes are amazing. Try the Oreo shake and you can't stop at one. I mean, you can only stomach so much right ?
The staff members are decent and though they initially took some time to collect our orders, they eventually matched the speed of 8 hungry, voracious eaters !
Overall, I love what they've done with the place, the food and the drinks are worth the money. It's a great place for an outing with friends or family.

Stuff is very good...food is very good.

A place away from the hustle and bustle of the city💚
Peaceful ambience and perfect place to hangout for the people who love greenery all around.
Corn bhel, Andhra chilly chicken, veg pizza tasted really well.
Cocktails are a must try!
My friends had planned a surprise birthday celebration for me. The way they presented the cake was really impressive. Just the way I love it.
The staff was really courteous and the manager constantly made sure everything was fine.
They do have a resort included which has a beautiful swimming pool and other games giving a proper holiday feels ;)

This is a new joint set in a beautiful setting around huge trees. It was quite well designed, with a good parking area on opposite side. We had three different craft beers. Wit, Hefe and Stout, if I recall. They don't brew their own. Food was decent. Chicken tandoori was moist and well spiced. Pizza was thin and crisp, just as we like it. Kababs were decent. But portions dished out for prices they charge, are small. This is not a value for money place. Presume, competition doesn't exist for them to drop prices or give offers.

I absolutely love Whattay Kitchen and Brew. I've been there thrice now and not once have they left me disappointed. The staff is extremely polite and helpful, the ambience is to die for, the food and beverages are out of this world and let's not forget the music; they play classic rock with a few recent hits here and there.

They also have a scheme where you get Brewchips added to your Whattay account linked to your phone number from Monday to Thursday. These are redeemable on future orders. Absolutely love this idea!

Gongura fried babycorn has got to be one of the best dishes on their menu. It's so well made and a single bite leaves you in heaven, especially if you like spicy food. To be honest, all their dishes are great. A special mention to their thin crust pizzas which are not overloaded with cheese. They've managed to achieve the perfect balance.

This is the perfect place for any sort of hangout, be it a date, a brunch with friends or a family dinner.

Look out for the pretty koi fish!

We visited this place on the Valentine's day, to be frank the ambience was lit. We ordered a mushroom starter which was decent. Apart from that we got noting nearing to being edible. We had ordered panner tikka pizza, the tikka on broccoli felt like raw turmeric paste while the pizza was flavourless and the pasta was just undercooked with almost no dressing! It was indeed one of the worst dinners I have ever had. Will never visit again.

One of the finest places in town. The ambience is what will make you go insane. Specially the evening time with the music. Food was awesom too and the staff were courteous. This place needs more attention. A must visit.

Just a bad place to spend dinner time with family. Service is horrible and very much understaffed. Not clean and food was cold when served!

Here on Valentine’s Day. I am sitting here with friends and family and yet to be served. Went and called a waiter who said he’d come by in a minute about ten minutes back. If you can’t manage the crowd, please do not have parties for events.

I must say getting here might be a challenge as it not that easily accessible to main road.. it's off Kanakapura road and you to pass through a small roads and also cross the Kanakapura traffic which is long now.. but when you get there you find it real good it's a huge place which spread out and also a new place in Bengaluru and the seating capacity or arrangements is spread out and can accommodate large numbers.. they also have indoor , outdoor as well as floor wise seating and separate section for hookha.. when it's food it's was good the pizza was just amazing and we had this shake called gulab jamoon i must it is the one you shud try there if you love jamoon or thick shakes which is chocolatey you will love it.. this is not it. They have attached this resort called holiday village which quite famous and easy to navigate..

Foodizs verdict : Good place go with large group or friends to enjoy screening

The ambience is good. Liked the friendly staff ( nuramin) and food was good.

While the beer and the food tasted really good, what put me off was the service. First things first, the stewards from a brewery shouldn’t look like employees working for Adigas or SLV.

Secondly the service must improve. They were pretty slow to serve the food we ordered. And for the location, I found the menu to be a bit pricier compared to other breweries in jp nagar.

Location is really nice and huge. Loads of greenery, but needs to be maintained appropriately. If these things aren’t taken care of properly, this place will see the doors shut soon. Shame that such a nice place isn’t being taken care of properly.

We were served by Noor and he was quite efficient and fast in noting orders and serving them.

He did suggest best items to try and it was worth it

Time well spent without having to followup on your orders

I came to this place to simply try out a new micro brewery. They have the space and the mood for a great micro brewery but i really did not have a good experience here. The food menu is not good as per my taste, the beer was okay but their service, the staff courtesy was lacking by leaps. The table where we set was dusty, nobody attended us until we waved and asked for menu and water. Even the match going on the screen couldn't be seen the projector brightness was low. If I'm paying a premium for your beer, i need good service to start with. We left without ordering anything.

The ambience is something that I fell in love with specially when seated outside. Greenery all around and really peaceful.

Food was pretty good. Murgh tikka Peri Peri, chicken lollipop, Andhra chilli chicken, chicken biryani, penne arrabiata, egg chilli, chilli prawns were some of the food we tried and all were good.
Gongura baby corn was really bad and I would not recommend that at all.

Drinks were pretty good. For dessert we tried the nutty chocolate cigars and chocolate brownie and they were yummy.

Good place overall👍

Went to this on Sunday and this place is a disaster from word go . They loot in the name of home made breezer , cook does not know to prepare food , even curd rice was pathetic. Can’t believe this . Street vendor would prepare better food . Only saving grace was upfront discount from Gold , thanks ZOMATO for that

The first thing you will notice when you walk in at evening is the brillant ambiance. The location is stunning. 15kms from Bangalore is perfect for a small trip on a weekend.
Drinks menu has an amazing variety of choices and all the drinks and mocktails are amazing. If you fancy a smoothie, they have a varied choice of those as well.
Food is absolutely brilliant I would definitely recommend the cheese garlic bread and the jalapeno crochets.
If you want to organise a party of sorts like we did this is honestly the perfect place to do it at. The manager was really helpful in the conduct of the event as well.

Food 5/5
Drinks 5/5
Price 4/5
Location 5/5
Ambiance 5/5
Parking is available and they have a valet service aswell.

Jus happened to visit on a few recommendations but regrettably I would say a bad experience!!! The ambience is a total bomb and the food served is good but the brew part of the place is a question mark the stout was light !! Hefeweizen was too fruity and sweet !!! Worst is the service to take the order I literally had to be told to wait for 15 mins for my turn!!! Once ordered The food took another eternity for it to arrive!!! Music is really loud!!! Unruly and chaotic!!! I sadly and regrettably had a real bad experience!!! The negative impact of service clouded the tasty food “WHATTAY” offered !!! WHATTAY waste of dinner 😕

Whattay

What a place!!!This place took me by surprise.
A warm place with great good options.Great ambience , nice decor. I particularly liked their outdoor seating amidst the trees. The fact that they haven't cut down a single tree makes the place environment friendly. There is a lake right opposite to the whattay which makes it the perfect place to hangout.

Coming to the food , they surprised me with traditional south Indian food like ragi ball and the famous nipatu burrger which tasted really amazing. The chicken starters Chicken kadipati and Chicken peri peri was really nice and mouth watering. The vegetarian menu was equally good as non vegetarian menu. The Paneer peshwari tikka which was served was really nice. The Pullihogaere balls and Gongura babycorn was also nice.

The new menu food which was served was delicious and lip-smacking and I would definitely try them again
New menu
1. Nipattu burger. 5/5
2. Pullihogaere balls. 4.9/5
3. Mutton kheema samosa. 4.9/5
4. Ragimudde & Averkallu curry/nati koli curry. 5+/5

The ambience is really good, over all its a nice place to chill out with your loved ones and friends. The food and service is great. The service was excellent.

Recommended place to visit if you need to get rid of Bangalore traffic.

Whattay Brew is a beautiful place amongst some of the oldest trees in Bangalore . The place is serene. It can accommodate upto 1000 people. You can host your corporate parties, kitty parties, birthday parties here. The ambience is just amazing with a lot of open seating. Coming to the food and drinks, old rock was my favourite cocktail, it was served in a mutka/mud/earthen cup. Their new menu has a fusion of the South Bangalore's delicacies like the nippat bun masala, Ragi ball with chicken curry, puliyogre Poppers. The chicken tikka was very well marrinated and was flavoursome. I personally liked their chicken biryani and Kheema samosa. On the whole, this place has really good vibes and amazing food. If you want to spend some quality time amidst nature and have some great food. This is the place for you Bon Apetit Bengalurufoodchronicles

Food:5/5
Ambience:5/5
service:5/5

Visited this place during lunch time on a Saturday , honestly Whatta place !!! .Well thats the thought process behind naming this bar , located in kanakpura , convinient through nice road , Jaw dropping ambience with trees around , felt like having lunch reminiscing old Bangalore days.

Their staff were courteous whilst the owner was humble enough to guide us through the place, They have curated menu with the finest south bengaluru dishes , quite surprising to find them in bar.

What i liked here:

Nippatu burger : It will certainly bring back memories of jayanagar as some of you would have tried this in your college days , This snack was just appetizing and would go perfectly with friends with drinks.

Paneer peshwari tikka: Loved the soft paneer tikkas with chutney , not just an ordinary paneer tikka but good balance of spicyness evident here

Gongura babycorn : This dish was plated fabulously , the gongura based startes tasted succulent and quantity was great , recommended starter.

Some delicacies of Bangalore which is a MUST TRY!
Pullihogaere balls
Mutton kheema samosa
Ragi mudde with Averkallu curry / nati koli curry

Drinks from the cocktail menu id recommend:
Old rock : this cocktail is a voda based , watermelon and apple juice fusion drink , smooth yet strong as i loved the presentation of this drink coming in a pot.

This unassuming quiet place took me by surprise. The ambience and the crowd added to my good experience. My friend and i enjoyed the vegetarian cuisine and the Thai curry is a definite hit with us. It's family friendly, kids friendly. The owners also seemed to be very simple beings. I wish the team all the best.

So to a place where i so loved the vibe and the scene in and around what Bangalore missed can be seen here it's a great place for your weekend get away to have family brunch and also a great place for many other events like birthday party, cocktail party, shoots etc it can accommodate a huge gathering and also one can truely enjoy themselves
I had a really good time because of the ambience and vibes from nature there ! It's quite a peaceful place and you can expect a lot of crowd cause who doesn't like to enjoy such cool ambience and experience them.
The food here is amazing and some of my recommendation are
Gongura baby corn pepper fry
Peshwari panner Tikka
Biryani
They have something new coming up on their menu and loved them and you must since they are truely utmost south Indian delicacy
Nippat burger
Raggi mudhe
Pulioghare balls and

You can also choose the cheese Garlic bread and the nachos which are again a good go.

We have visited Whattay at least 4-5 times and each time we have experienced extremely poor service. The place is big, can accomodate large groups and the ambience is decent, food tastes good but the service from what I have seen has been consistently terrible. There is no one person who willingly, voluntarily comes to take your order. You need to constantly ask some waiter to come to you each time you want the tiniest of things. No one comes back to check if you need water, another round of food/drink, bill or anything at all. The waiters seem untrained, dull headed and uninterested in their work. The one or two people who can do some decent job have too much on their plate that they are unable to handle their work load. We visited today for lunch and in the beginning we were happy that they served our drink and starters in decent time in spite of it being crowded. Soon, we realised that we had spoken too soon. Once we ordered the mains, we didn't hear anything about it for 45mins, only to later realise that order never got made. Only once we complained they started making our order and even then the waiter wasnt even remotely apologetic about the delay, he seemed to have this attitude that 'yeah this happens on a regular basis'!!
The delay in food had already made it too late for us and we gobbled our food as we were starved and had to leave for a prior engagement, we asked the waiter to parcel our left over food and the waiter unsurprisingly failed to do even that. He just kept roaming the place instead of getting it done. We just left without it. We also saw other people being really upset with their service!

The toilet seemed at its worst today. There was no water in the taps for handwash and a bucket had been kept for handwashing purposes 😂, the water in which was fully over. I realised there is no water only after i applied soap on my hands. Thankfully there was paper napkin and I could wipe my hands with it.

This place showed great promise in the beginning and the first couple of times we visited we gave it the benefit of the doubt since it had just begun business. It's been long enough now and they still haven't been able to establish decent service and doest look like anyone is interested in making any changes to their standards. Definitely will not be visiting this place again! Horrible service is total understatement! I can run this place much better without any experience in managing a restaurant! Thought this is by brewsky and would have some standard, it's a definite must avoid place! I won't be surprised if this place soon becomes like it's neighbouring resort!

This place is a 'get lost in fantasy world'. The ambiance is the first thing which steals your heart. They have some very tasty brewed beers and also cocktails. The staff is very friendly is always on their toes to serve you and make your visit the best.
We ordered pasta, potato wedges, spicy fries, cheese garlic bread and veggie pizza. The ones which got the highest rating from our end was their pizza with tasty corn, fries with appropriate peri peri topping, potato wedges with a strange tasty dip and garlic bread. The pasta was also good but could have been better. P.S : Book your table in advance because this popular place is always booked.

Loved loved loved this place. Perfect for a date night. Visited here for our 3rd month wedding celebration. The brews were perfect, cocktails perfectly made to the T, food lipsmacking, ambiance romantic. What more could one ask for? Situated in Kanakpura road, owned by same owners as Brewsky (JP Nagar), a little hard to reach but cute place, with beautiful water body and well lit ambiance for a dreamy date night. Brews- Stout and Belgian wit were loved Cocktail- Sassy six and dirty Ginny perfect cocktails for gin lovers Food- my all-time favorite Greek Salad with chickenwas perfectly seasoned, Pudina chicken with akki rotti canapés were very unique, and chicken Tikka pizza yummy. The staff were courteous, smiling, suggesting good drinks and food to try. Definitely going back for more.

For Ambiance and Food I would give a 4 star. The food is tasty and its a nice calm place. The only issue I see is the road outside is so dusty and the school buses/ water tankers/ the trucks that move around literally brings in all the dust. I experienced this, while having my lunch there are saw each time a truck moved all the dust coming inside this place. Not sure if they can manage to keep the place dust free with some design changes.

it has been great to have ajay (bartender) to serve us. Music can be better.✌️..........,..................................

I am quite lucky that I have a great place to hang out right next door. The ambience , music and service is excellent. They serve a variety of craft beers and draught beer. The draught beer is my personal favourite as it is light on the stomach. They have a great variety of food to choose from and it takes a while for you to go through the menu. The bartenders are very friendly and courteous. Since I go there very regularly I am familiar with their names. (Rajbir, Murari, Ajay, Dan and Shirajul). I would like to thank these guys for the excellent service that they provide every week.

I had been to this place recently and loved their ambience and food whilst the beer was great too , I would totally want to come back and get my friends here too.

Ambiance & Staff
Situated on the border of urban Bengaluru, this place offer not just food and drinks but also a shot of peace. The place flaunts natural decor using trees and water bodies which also is unique when compared to the other breweries in Bengaluru. A boon to South and West Bengaluru. The staff here are courteous and are determined to ensure a good service.

Highlights
1. Namma Potato Wedges
2. Virjin Ying Yang
3. Chocolate Cigars

Detailed Review
1. Virjin Ying Yang
Every kids favorite Mocktail, made with love and Chocolate. MUST TRY
2. Namma Potato Wedges
Traditional potato wedges with Bengaluru style podi and tangy tomato chutney on the side. The tomato chutney is finger lickin good, thanks to the natural tanginess of the tomato. MUST TRY
3. Bhutta Methi Kabab
Crispy on the outside and perfect partner if you are sipping beer 😉
4. Panner Peshawari Tikka
Fresh, juicy and huge chunks of panner marinated in flavourful sauce and cooked in tandoor. Blown away by the freshness of the panner.
5. Dal Makhni
Creamy and thick Dal Makhni served with butter garlic naan is the perfect combo for a lazy evening. Wish I had more appetite.
6. Chocolate Cigars
Chocolate rolled in layers of puff pastry and rolled to look like a cigar! Looks amazing and tastes even better! This is the cigar you can trust your kid with!

This place surely is on my favorites list. Whattay Kitchen + Brew offers the most peaceful and refreshing ambiance with finger licking food and not to forget the ample parking space! Will be back for more

High time this part of Bengaluru needed a laid back brewery with lots of greenery and a extremely pleasant ambiance. It feels like a relief coming here after all the hours you spend in traffic and noise.
The Ambiance is one of the most pleasant you'll come across in all of Bangalore with a very soothing music playing at all times. Large seating areas spread across different sections. I would always prefer to be seated outside amongst all that greenery.

🔶Highlights of the place 🔶

▪️ Pleasant Ambiance with Soothing music.
▪️ Great beers on Tap.
▪️Above average F&B.
▪️ Great service from courteous staff.
▪️ Great value for money.

🔶What I loved and would recommend?

🔸 Virgin Ying Yang: The mocktail which probably made my day. One of the finest drinks you'll come across.
🔸Paneer Peshawari Tikka: One starter I would recommend here. Extremely Soft Paneer cubes which are made to flavoured to perfection.
🔸Paneer Labradar and Dal Makahani with Roti basket: Great North Indian Main courses for brewery standards. I would give this a thumbs up.
🔸 Chocolate Cigars: My favourite dessert from the lot.
🔸 Twisted Mary and Rummy bae: The better cocktails, refreshing actually even though it's based out of the Bloody Mary concept.
🔸All the beers on tap where exceptional.

🔶What I would ask them to improve?

I would chose the Chocolate Brownie as the it kinda felt floury. It ain't bad but I see some improvements that could be made.

🔶 Other things I had with no compliments/complaints:

🔹 Starters: Namma Potato Wedges, Cheese n Jalapeno croquettes, Bhutta Methi Kabab
🔹Main course: Kadai Subz, Veg Panang Curry with butter rice, Mediterranean Pizza.
🔹 Desserts: Apple Pie with ice cream.
🔹 Mocktails: Be fresh, Pretty in Pink
🔹 Cocktails: Orange Julip.

Overall a very good experience. I would give this place a full 5 star for the ambiance and the pleasant vibe it carries. Recommended to people who wanna escape city life and have a peaceful evening. Great food, excellent beers on tap and a soothing ambiance. Think no more and head here soon.

🔺Ambiance: 5/5
🔺Food& Beverages: 4.5/5
🔺Service&Staff: 4.5/5
🔺Value for money: 4.5/5

Whattay kitchen & brew located in Kanakpura road next to Holiday village!

Surrounded by greenery & spread across 2 floors! One the Best brewery in South Bangalore! As soon as I stepped in I was very much impressed,be it their ambience, vast space or seating options 😍
Seating options are just perfect 👌🏼 I can say you this place has a excellent vibe and very soothing!

We started with few Mocktails followed by few starters. The starters were so well cooked and fresh. quality and quantity wise it was so best for the price. Starters were not over fried or spiced up and were cooked to perfection 👌🏼

They have 5 beers on their tap and stout is my favorite! Cocktails are presented in a innovative way and are blended perfectly 👌🏼

We order Indian breads with 3 types of veg curries, super soft Kulcha and Roti with lip smacking gravy's. To be very honest I didn't expect main course to be so beautiful in a brewery!
Try Veg panang curry served with butter rice which was so good 💯

We ordered 3 desserts. Brownie with ice cream, chocolate cigars and apple pie 🥧
It was the first time I tried chocolate cigar, very Light and flaky layers of dough served with warm chocolate.

Place is maintained very well and the staff is very courteous. There is nothing I could complain about!

Highly recommend ✨

Get up on a Saturday morning and if you decide to go for a drive then this place should be on top of your list. Located on the edge of the city, this place is a hidden gem for the city. You reach this place through the scenic route of nice road and the experience has a long-lasting impression on you.

Location – The place is located on Kanakpura road, that would be a better drive from the Nice road than the inner city roads. They do have parking available so I would suggest making the drive and not opt for a cab.

Ambience – This is the forte of the restaurant, the ambience is so beautiful that it automatically mesmerises the customers even before they begin ordering. 50 brownie points just for the ambience. The music, the setting, the pond in the middle, the greenery and the cool breeze, all of them together give you a memorable experience.

Definitely a place for a first date so anyone who’s scrolling through Zomato trying to rack their brains, please stop! You have your answer.

Service - The staff is extremely polite and understanding. I admire the fact that they do check up on you at frequent intervals to see if your experience can be improved in any way and that’s it. That is the crux of good customer service and it is something that I have only seen in 1-2 restaurants in Bangalore.

Must have dishes – Murgh Tikka peri peri, Namma Potato wedges, Drunken chicken, Paneer peshawari tikka (Paneer is too soft), Paneer Lababdar, Kadhai Subz, Dal Makhani, Butter Naan, chicken biryani, Brownie with ice cream

Drinks – Twisted Mary, Rummy Bae, Orange Julip, Golden Ale, IPA

Cost - Its quite reasonable for the quality of food served and the ambience. Does not punch a hole in your pocket.

Kanakapura In and around people be happy to get an amazing Brewery with beautiful ambience and spot on Food for a hustle and bustle free weekend.

Ambience is very beautiful and calm with lots of greenary around, open terraces, artificial canal, indoor seating perfect for any kind of gathering here. They have retained the huge trees and built the property and placed the seatings around. The music takes you back to all the memories of 2000's.

They are serving 5 Beers on tap and multiple options in Cocktails and Mocktails menu.

Must Try

* Virgin Ying Yang - we as a gang it was all our favorite.
* Twisted Mary - very refreshing drink.
* Rummy Bae - Refreshing drink.

Food surprisingly for a brewery stood up and tasted absolutely delicious. From starters to Main course everything tasted really good. The chef has taken care of the minute to minute details in the food regarding to the taste, presentation and preparation.

Must Try

* Namma Potato Wedges - Perfect pairing with the drinks. Spicy and tangy wedges served with in-house tomato chutney which was brilliant.
* Paneer Peshawari Tikka - Paneer was soft and tasted delicious.

Must Try their Indian Breads especially the Butter Naan and Classic Dal Makhani and Paneer Lababdar.

Loved their Veg Panang curry with Butter Rice which had enough veggies and the coconut flavor was spot on.

Desserts menu can be more elaborated but loved their Chocolate Cigars which was Chocolaty and crunchy.

Overall loved the place and YES would come back again

Food - 5/5
Ambience - 5/5
Service - 5/5

There are many Breweries in Bangalore , and this one surely should be rated amongst the best. This place serves excellent food with a lots of varieties along with some beer or cocktails. We tried Tandoori SoyaChap, Prawns Sukka, Murgh Tikka Peri Peri, Ghungra Babycorn and Alfredo Penne Pasta , all the dishes were made to perfection. Among desserts we tried Chocolate Brownie and Nutty Chocolate Cigar both were a delightful for the taste buds.
Amongst cocktails and mocktails we had Virgin Mojito, Bislika, Anglie Alexer, Pink Sunset and Fruity Tuty all the drinks were refreshing and had a unique flavour.

The Top 3 dishes which I would recommend to try out are :-
1) Murgh Tikka Peri Peri
2) Nutty Chocolate Cigar
3) Pink Sunset

Overall, this place provides a beautiful ambience along with some groovy music and excellent food. For me this place is an absolute 5/5.👍

Located in the outskirts overlooking a plush green property off Kanakapura road.

Starters

Potato Wedges : Sprinkled with herbs served along with delicious relish, have it while it's hot.

Butta Methi Kebab : Excellent Soft Kebabs goes well along with green chutney.

Paneer Peshwari Tikka : I like when a place puts effort in making their own produce. Really soft cubes of paneer very well marinated. Enjoyed the dish thoroughly.

Murgh Tikka Peri Peri: Succulent juicy chicken chunks served with chutney tasted as good as expected.

Drunken Chicken : This was quite unique .. well balanced flavours and hit among the crowd.

Pork Chilli : Excellent dish served with drissle of sauce on top.

Main Course

Paneer Labbadar : Instant hit , must order with Naan.

Kadhai Chicken : The flavour of thr gravy was good. Although i would prefer this to be boneless.

Fish Kasundhi : Flavoursome and mustardy hits u right in the pallet i really enjoyed it.

Dal Makhni : this is must have dish in Whattay Kitchen. No words !! It was beautifully cooked.

Dessert

Chocolate Cigars , Brownie with Ice Cream were pure bliss and good climax to a heavy meal.

What didnt I love about this place?
This place is great for a date, birthday party, brunch scenes etc. They have a huge seating space. No problem even if its jam packed. They always have extra seatings.

When it comes to food. Food is exceptionally good.
Specially try out dal.makhani, peri peri chicken tikka, drunken chicken, Bhuta methi kebab, paneer lababdar, chicken kadai 😀
When it comes to their brews I really like the stout. Its goes down your throat very smooth. German wit is also a good one if you like lighter beers.
They also have a big spread of cocktails and mocktails which are super refreshing. Few that I would suggest is rummy bae, virgin yin yang, twisted Mary!!😀

Overall I would give this place 5/5! 🤘

Finally I feel like people who live off Kanakapura Road have a place to go to for good food, craft beers and great ambience. This place is spread over a large plot that is full of lush green plants and trees. It honestly felt like we were at some resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

Food - The drunken chicken and chilli pork were binge worthy. I also liked the murgh achari tikka and potato wedges.

Main course: I would recommend the Thai curry and the Indian breads with dal makhani or paneer lababdar.

Mocktail: the virgin yin yang was a huge hit amongst our table. It’s a god send if you like chocolate.

Beers: go for the wit or hopper if you’re looking for something light and the IPA over the stout for something stronger.

Desserts: The walnut brownie and apple pie were pretty good although the consistency of the brownie could be better.
The Vegetarians could have more options amongst the starters.

Whether you wanna get out of the bustling Bengaluru City or get some calm flowing in the blood, the place to head over is Whattay Brew and Kitchen, being a part of Holiday Village Resort, Whattay has is located off Kanakapura Main Road at Jyotipuram.

Speaking about environment, it is a world out of the city, serene music, well preserved tall trees and wide open terraces and an artificial canals with beautiful fish adorn this Brewery. Speaking about the serene music, this place makes sure to take you to another world with early 2000s walls and some extremely soothing and calm music.

Being a Brewery, the place serves some really good beer, tried their Belgian Wit, Hefeweizen and Stout Beer, their Hefeweizen was the best of the rest. Some really good veg starters to go with the wonderful beer are the Paneer Peshawari Tikka, Namma Potato Wedges and Bhutta Methi and Corn Kebabs.

Along with the beer, Whattay also serves some really good Cocktails which are garnished with loads of tropical goodness, like cherries and cucumber. Rummy Bae is white Rum based cocktail which was extremely refreshing and would be great on a hot sunny day. Oranage Julip is another classic Whiskey Sour.

Coming to main course, Whattay has some real good veg curries and Naan, a few must tries are the classic Dal Makhani, Paneer Lababdar and Veg Panang, these curries were really good for brewery standards. Also tried their Special Veg Thai Curry and Rice, loaded with loads of vegetables the coconut flavor of the curry was too good.

Also a special mention goes to a mock-tail named Virgin Ninyang, milk and chocolate based mock-tail, we as a gang ordered 20 portions of this drink.

Coming to desserts, this is where Whattay falls short with exotic servings, having only brownie with ice cream, chocolate cigars and apple pie with ice cream, like the apple pie the most. Overall a really good experience and would recommend the place for a lazy and long Saturday.

Quality- 5/5

Quantity - 4/5

Price - 4/5

Ambiance - 5/5

Presentation -5/5

Worth it? - Totally, the brews, starters and main course were really good.

Whether I would visit again? - A big YES, again to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city ! :)

PS : The place is pretty large and can be used for a really good private part!! :)

Surrounded by greenery, this microbrewery is a great place for weekend treat. The brew collection is good and food starters are excellent.
The Murgh Ghee Pepper fry and Chicken Gongura fry are a must try. The Veg Peri Pizza is a good one for the main course.

Great ambience and full marks for it. Pasta with pesto sauce was very bad and way too pricey for the portions . Does not fill even one person

Had been to this place for the first time. Seeing all those above reviews, I went with some good expectations. But the first impression itself brought my eyes down😑, the area was large enough, but ambience was not ready yet 😕. Then, we were more than 40 people and they arranged for a #Buffet for us, which was really much expensive for the dishes and quantity they served 😑. The VEGETARIAN food really made me upset. Non-veg food was okayish 🙄. Chilly Chicken should be spicy and tasty, which was just spicy not tasty 😕. Cheese balls were not good too. Only thing we liked was Carrot Halwa and Icecream. As it was afternoon, we didn't feel like trying #Brewery, so this rating is only taking food into account. Service was really bad too, they served veg starters after taking off the plates and we were about to move to main course. It was really disappointing, didn't expect such things here 😑.

The ambience is really good, but nothing can be done just with ambience when ders no good service! Indeed the service is pathetic! It was my frnds bday so we decided to go to this place, wen we entered nobody was ever Der to ask how many of us not any other details! We went n randomly sat waiting fa the menu! We did not get any menu even after asking fa it! Nearly for 30mins we did not receive the menu! Later we got pissed n asked them to call the manager! Later we got the menu! N ordered for food first as we Wer hungry as dey had made us wait for long! Very bad experience! Please don’t go to this place if you are hungry, ull definitely die due to hunger!

Visited Whattay Kitchen on a weekday with a group of friends, hence the crowd was less. It’s a nice place with good ambience. Courteous staff. They have good food options for vegetarians as well, Loved their pasta, mock tails and nachos. Overall nice place to visit and hang out with friends and family.

Huge place in Kanakapura road next to holiday village, As soon as we entered no one was there to guide us, it's so huge and with no directions and we entered the premises of the resort and then later got to know. It's so huge and will be good to visit in the evenings.
Service was so slow, and the kitchen is so far by the time they get it to us it would have become cold.

Food:
- Gongura Babycorn pepper fry : this was something different with the pinch taste of Gongura but it was nit that spicy but tasted really good .
- Egg Chilli Garlic : it was perfectly blended with the chilli and it was soft
- Whattay special Nachos Veg : this was the best dish i had in this place, the nachos was so good and crispy and it was backed Nachos.
- Mediterranean pizza Veg : it was good but by the time we got it to the table it was cold and later on it become hard.
Dal Khichidi was the best dish and it was very tasty and we were very much satisfied.

DRINKS:
The day we visited was a dry day so we could not taste the beer but with no options we had mocktail which was pretty decent.
Nice place to hangout with friends and family.

Whattay kitchen and brew is located out of bangalore outskirts, in kanakapura road next to holiday village resort , can tell it's a part of holiday village.

We visited here for Sunday lunch.starting vale parking the guy there in vale did not take our car to park he just showed the place to park the car but he took other people car who visited the restaurant to park there car but why? And what's the reason behind it we did not understand. As we entered this place we felt awe full with the ambience but sad thing was no1 were there at the register counter to guide us and we were totally blank which way to go, where to sit and all, later we ourselves saw the whole restaurant and we found our place to sit.

Food part
We tried
Nachos - it was baked nachos and it was very good

Gongura baby corn - taste was good but it was not hot nd spicy

Egg chilly - was perfect

Mediterranean pizza - pizza was filled with good veggies and the base was soft and tasty too

Dal khichdi - yummy made

And we tried mocktails as alcohol was not available as there was some reason on the day not to serve alcohol from government

The big disadvantage in this place is kitchen is far from the dining area by the time they get dishes from the kitchen to the dine are the dishes would already have become warm.

Totally a average experience but will once visite this place to taste the brew beers😋

It’s a very nice place with good ambiance to chill out in the evening. The pasta and mocktail was good, but I wasn’t satisfied with the pizza and the paneer ghee roast. The staff do not respond properly while waiting. But once we got a table, the service was fast.

Been here on a Sunday afternoon .Ambience is a stealer. Food options are very less especially starters.Pizza was yummy.Remaining Indian dishes were bland.
