best to vegetarians good and tasty items was limited especially the holige with ghee other than that it was good ambience and cultured hotel
A busy typical South Indian vegetarian restaurant serves nice, simple, tasty TDH menu. I would suggest you to go with maximum appetite and enjoy the meal. Mr. Ramakrishna ( forgive me if the name is wrong ) playing a vital role in running the operations smooth over here. Tackling the guests who are having their meal, the guests who are waiting for their turn and the staff simultaneously, is something which requires hell lot of patience and dedication. Commendable..
Wonderful place for vegie peeps. We had special thali. They serve unlimited food. It was mouth watering. If you are bored with Tundey Kebabs/Chicken Tandoori, then must try this place. You will be more happy.
Loved the authentic kannadiga meals, experienced the great taste, service and ambience.
Costed ₹245/- + gst.
Lunch was suddenly fixed by few friends and we decided to go here. The hotel has shifted to 2 floor and the ambience is nice. The staffs are very friendly and prompt . We decide to take the normal meals which is unlimited Rs.175/- and they served with full happiness. The food was quite great and the jowar/Jolada roti was cooked to the perfection and they give enough butter for the roti The brinjal curry was the highlight and this satisfied our palate.
The kallu palaya - Horse gram palaya was well blended with masala and well cooked,
Soppu palay was good,
One thing which I personally felt is they could have atleast added a sweet to this thali.
The samabar was a bit sweet for me than expected to be.
Finally came the beda and banana and the lunch was satisfying
It is on the second floor of the building. Right place with family visit for a delicious uk rotti meals. The food is rightly cooked with medium masala for which you don't remember how many jowar roti you ate. Good service from staff.
One of the authentic places which serves North Karnataka food at a very affordable rate. Must try this place once. However there is still scope they can improve on their Ambience, service and taste.

The classic North Karnataka oota! A go to place whenever you're craving some jolada rotti/
Akki rotti. Service was good, fast, very friendly staff. They serve excatly how you should be taken care off!
Located in Bull Temple road very close to Bull Temple in Basavanagudi. Restaurant has three floors. This restaurant is famous for 'Jolada Rotti Oota', which is a North Karnataka style of meal served in the top most floor. Food is served on a large Banana leaf, which is the traditional way of serving food in Karnataka.
Jolada Rotti Oota comes with Jolada Rotti (Jowar Rotti), Rice , Rasam, Papad, Samabar, Ghee, Yenghai Palaya, Buttermilk & other accomplishments which are unlimited.
Obbatu, Ice-cream, Mirchi Bajji & Beeda are single serve.
Live Karnatic music is performed during lunch hours.
Good authentic north karnataka food. The ambience is not that good since the stairs and walkways are congested. The food is very good and decent.
The go-to place for Jowar Roti meals. Very traditional ambience with live Carnatic music during weekends. Great service and excellent meals served on plantain leaf.
The Jowar Roti and brinjal curry is a delicacy. The sambar is equally tasty and adds to the overall flavours.
Top floor north Karnataka lunch is good than ground floor common menu. Lunch is served in banana leaf it's tasty😋😋 it's unlimited u can have it as much u want
If you're craving for North Karnataka vegetarian meals then this is that place. Two floors are assigned to serve the meals and the other two floors serves south Indian snacks and breakfast munches. Getting a table here will generally takes time due to the rush in peak hours. However, there's some live carnatic music here to enjoy while waiting for your table. The meals is served in a banana leaf which makes it more homely and interesting. This costs around ₹250 inclusive of taxes which makes it very competitive and pocket friendly. The overall taste and quality of the food was above average. However, the service here sometimes gets really slow and I really feel that the restaurant should work on improving this.
Homely food, 1 place to try North Karnataka food, tasty, hygienic but heavily crowded during weekends, better to be little early and as its heavily crowded the service is extremely fast which makes you to gobble your food.
We have been for dinner , food is really tasty we just loved , this place is good for pure vegetarian ppl ,toilet is not clean at all ,they need to maintain the cleaness .
Overall Experience was good
Craving for joladh rotti meal then this us the best place to go. Ambiance isn't that great but good served was worth the money. Unlimited joladh rotti with butter and salads are mouth watering.
Overall would rate as
Food: 5/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 4.5/5
Enjoyed the live traditional music and north Karnataka food , ambiance is good. Jowar roti is soft , brinjal curry was ok. Food is served in banana leaf.
Visited for a perfect north Karnataka meal. Jollada roti with badnekayi hengai is the best. Variety of palyas are just mouth watering. Ambience is very good with north Karnataka attire.
as usual... it was awesome... delicious..thanks..
No words...kamat Bugle... you rock
spring roll does not seem to be fresh
A family restaurant. Lot of people from this locality hang out here usually for dinner or family gatherings. The food tastes normal. They can improve on the service. One of those hotels that has become a well known landmark.
Food tastes good!
We ate north Karnataka meals!
Jowar roti and brinjal curry was awesome, you just love. Pricing was fair. Service is good.
Staff people need to be more polite.
Have been going to this place since it started just for their very famous Jolad Rotti meals!
Ambience - It is a 3 floored restaurant - ground floor is self service with seating ; 1st floor is like any other AC service hotel with South Indian, North Indian and Chinese options ; 2nd floor is just for Jolad Rotti meals. The decor is simple with comfortable seating and the place is very hygienic.
Service - The service on all 3 floors is very fast. Staff is very well behaved and attentive.
Food - I have most of the times had Jolad Rotti meals but on my recent visit thought of trying something else. We ordered a South Indian meal and a North Indian Thali.
South Indian meal - It contained a cup of curds, a glass of buttermilk, 1 Kosambri , 1 Palya , Aloo Peas Curry , red Chutney , chapathi/Poori , rice , Rasam and Sambar. Everything other than curd was unlimited! All of it was good but I felt that Rasam was better than the Sambar.
North Indian meal - Tomato Soup and 2 roasted papad was served initially, later came 2 Roti (you can ask for a Kulcha as well) , a bowl of Veg Curry , Panneer Masala , Dal fry , Veg Biryani , Raitha , curd and a slice of onion and lemon. All of these were limited, you can also ask for rice , Sambar and Rasam which is unlimited. I really liked the Panneer Masala and Raitha. Veg Biryani was not very good and all other dishes were okay.
Jolad Rotti Meals - There are already a lot of reviews on this so I won't tell anything about what it contains. But I feel that the quality of Jolad Rotti Meals has gone, it used to be very delicious in their initial days I do not get the same feeling now. It is still good but not as good as it used to be!
Food / Drink - Multiple options available. However the go to option is Jolada rotti oota (Jowar bread meal). It’s sumptuous. Delicious and nutritious and pretty authentic North Karnataka meal (closest you can get). Jowar rotis are soft and yummy, served with butter. This is had with authentic brinjal (egg plant) curry. Host of other salads are served on a banana leaf. Rice with sambar/rasam too. End your meal with banana and paan. But if it’s your one off visit, opt for the ‘special meal’ which also comes with holige (a traditional Karnataka sweet dish), Bhajji (deep fried chilli/jalapeño goodness) and fruit salad with ice cream. Worth it for sure.
Price - 180/- for normal meal and 240/- for special meal. Well priced.
Service - Fast. Impeccable speed. Even when crowded. But if you heading there on a weekend, make sure you buffer in at least a 30 min wait time.
Ambience - North Karnataka style setting on the terrace. Also has a small stage where local artistes are invited to perform classical music. You’d enjoy the music while you wait for your table. Only on weekends though.
Location - On one end of Bull Temple Road. You wouldn’t miss.
Parking - Street.
Speciality - Jolada rotti oota.
Must try? - miss at your own peril.
Pro tip - Go hungry. Rely on butter milk to quench your thirst. If it’s your first visit, or you don’t plan to visit often, go for the special meal. And don’t forget to burp once you are done with your meal! Burrrrrrpppp!!
Meals @ Kamat Bugle RockOne should compulsorily try meals at Kamat hotels. This is fairly economical in pricing. Hot-Hot Jolada Roti with butter is really toothsome. Conclusion: Simple, Fairly Economical, Traditional, North Karnataka Meals.

+3.5
Ground floor area is a self service and 1st floor is serviced hall, pure veg, north karnataka style lunch in the afternoon, service is quick and food is good, lacks a little in hygiene standards, a very spacious and peaceful place to come and have food if you are in Basavanagudi.
Ambience - 3.5/5
Food - 4/5
Service - 4/5
Price - 3.5/5
Hygiene - 3/5
Overall - 3.5/5
A craving for Jolada Roti is what made us go all the way across the city to this place & let me tell you that it was worth it!
We opted for the unlimited Jolada Roti meals that was served on the second floor, the food was delicious and the rotis were served hot! :)
The staff are very polite
Highly recomend if you want to try Jolada Roti
Large place with plenty of staff, located at the edge of bull temple road.
The crowds aren't much, even during peak hours.
The food is average and slightly over priced for what you get but the place is well maintained.
The real standound is the south Indian only section in the top floor which serves unlimited meals for 150/-
And in this case, the food is brilliant! And a must try when you've enough time to enjoy the meal. But when you're in for a quickie, stick with the Chinese or the standard anna-sambhar so as to not get disappointed.
Worth a try.
Very good place to go out for family lunch/dinner. Food is unlimited, good gesture, ambiance and food is really good here.
Hot hot jowari roti is served.
Good food!! Please take music. Wished to have hot holige and bonda😀. Overall good experience on a bhogi festival with family!!
Kids friendly.
Jollada oota
I think this has been quite obvious choice of who visits here !! It was not too good not too bad , I felt it was worth 110 quality and quantity , the meal was served on Banana leaf in south Indian style ! Loved it :)
Healthy food guaranteed.. loved the jolada Roti .. v took regular meals .. it was worth the price .. approx of 180rs ..v ordered sweet corn soup and tomato soup .. taste of soups disappointed me ..will visit back to taste the spl jolada roti meals ..
Lip-smacking food! :')
Joladh rotti oota is best among all the places! It's worth the money, totally stomach filling!
But you have to wait for long time to get a place. Wait's gonna be worth! :')
Must try place in Basavangudi!
This restaurant is near my house. Multistorey restaurant with around 2 floors. It's a complete multi cusines restaurant. Ground floor has normal seating arrangement for quick bites. They serve all kind of South Indian breakfast, north indian and south Indian meals. First and second floor is for family and team hangout. They have good seating arrangements through out the restaurant. I had been here number of times. The best food here is the north Karnataka special jollada rotti meals. They serve some good jowar roti, badanekai yenegai(brinjal), spinach dal, rice, Mirchi bajji, chaas, rasam, sambar, sabzi, one sweet, and ice cream. If you opt to eat north Indian cuisine, they serve some good North India food. Go for panner items with roti, naan etc. Overall a good place for family lunch and dinner.
Its located on bull temple road, near the bull temple. The food is great but they lost stars on their service and the hygene of the place. .
Jolad Roti oota which is an unlimited combo with rice, bhajji, butter milk and curries is lip smacking. The service is good and also the traditional ambience.
Delicious.
Value for money (~200 per person)
Jolada rotti.
Authentic North Karnataka curries.
Not to miss.
Take all you eat. Eat all you take!
As it next to my office, I have tried this multiple times. They have place to grab quick bite, also first floor for fine dine. Food is decent (not too amazing). Idli, vada and dosa are standard. Place is hygienic. Prices are average.
The north kannadiga restaurant who serve the best 'jolladh rotti' in the 4th floor, but the rest of the cusine is average so not at all standout like other kamat branches worldwide.
If you're a fan of Jolada Rotti and other North Karnataka delicacies, it's a must visit place. We have never visited the ground and first floor and directly jump into the second floor where they serve this. Unlimited food served with smiling face, free flow of buttermilk and other side dishes makes you to enjoy every bit of it. Mesmerizing classical music adds on to the great ambiance. There is hardly 15 minutes of waiting time if it is super crowded. Food is very hygienic served with gloves on :)
It's an amazing place to visit once in a while and gonna be an iconic restaurants of Bangalore. Keep it up!
Awesome north kannada food. From jower roti-vobattu-side dishes-rice samber-bajji-dessert - pan.Everything was upto the mark.service was awesome.Saw people rating 1 star in zomato but I'm purely rating on basis of unlimited jowar roti meals available at 2nd floor.pure classic homely feel.
Super experience... Friendly servers. It's purely unlimited for 215 rs per normal jolada rotti meal. 280 rs for special meal which contains meal+jolada rotti+fruit bowl+icecream
We used to visit Kamat near Hoodi Circle years back. Since it was taken down due to metro construction we have been hunting for a kamat for long.
We (a family of 4) were all excited to visit this outlet on a weekend.
First thing, no dedicated parking is available for this hotel; nor there is a valet parking. If you are lucky, you might get parking in one of the gullies opposite to the hotel and there is no covered parking as well.
Hotel is in 3rd floor and the lift is available.
Seating capacity is less and quite congested I would say.
But the service was quick.
Hobbattu (their trademark food item) will cost 19/- if you wanted more than one.
They also have kids meals costing 150/- and make sure to specifically ask them.
And no other items available, other than the meals.
Food quality is good; hobbattu, jolad rotti, brinjal kootu etc were all good.
Mango kootu was average.
Overall we liked the hotel, service and food; we will definitely visit again.

It's a pure South Indian style restaurant located near BMS college of engineering. They serve food on leaf and the best part is that it's a purely veg restaurant. Also the staff is very supportive and helpful. There is plenty of parking space available there. Highly recommended, a place you can visit to enjoy your weekends!!!
One of the finest restaurant I have visited, loved their services hospitality, food was amazing they have live music in here weekends and public holidays only you get veg unlimited meals. which includes holige, jolada rotti with butter, rice, curd , ice cream and more items service was excellently it was heavy meals for me.

250/- unlimited meals.
Excellent food. Every item served is a treat to your tongue. A healthy and tasty palate.
Very courteous staff and they feed you to the brim.
Total value for money.
Visited again today. The highlight of the meal was the mango curry 😍😍, which is prepared in this season. Its yummy 👌and finger lickin good.
This place is truly incredible! The most authentic South Indian experience. The food is delicious! Holige, palya, jollad roti, sambhar rice, ice cream and finish that all off with curd and butter milk and finally beeda.. the food is as I said lip smacking! The service is so humble and kind and sweet, you want to keep eating all day! But you can’t 😊. Highly recommended place!!!!
One of the best North karnataka food.. people who love typical South indian roti should visit here. Staffs are really good. It's unlimited. The manager is also very Friendly. You just feel like you are at home. Overall a good one
I went with friend to eat typical north Karnataka food, it was awesome. Especially Brinjal curry was delicious. They play live carnatic music, it was pleasant. Only problem which I noticed they don't accept the debit/credit cards. Only cash or UPI payments.
One of the best restaurants for jowahar roti meals. Taste is very good and food is unlimited. Cost is moderate but the seating, interiors, maintenence, cleanliness can be improved, then definitely 5star rating can be provided. Food can be served hot so that the taste will be more better.
Nice Sunday jolada rotti meals. If you go early at around 12 or 12.15pm on Sundays, it’s better so that you beat the crowd. Dishes were all hot and tasty. Wholesome lunch at Rs 270 per person.
It has unique style of Uttara Kannada Jolad Rotti oota ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಜೋಳದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಊಟ
So there are two types of meal. One is special and another is normal.
Special means you will get one holige, bajji, fruit salad, banana, pan.
Taste is really good, most of time depend upon which palya
Rotti ರೊಟ್ಟಿ is served with Benne ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ butter
Love to eat rotti with butter yummy taste by crouching palya in it.
Two types of chutneys, pickle will be kept on table.
Unlimited Rotti with butter served.
Rice also unlimited, who has good appetite can go here and enjoy the meal.
UNLIMITED & HEALTHY FOOD! They have a normal Jolada Roti oota & special edition of the same. Special costs ₹266/ person. The oota has 3 variety of palya, ennegayi, obbatu, mirchi, buttermilk, curds, beda. Rice and Rotti are unlimited & you wouldn’t feel bloated after eating this heavy meal! Experience this oota & you wouldn’t be disappointed!

Have been visiting this place for many years and this is one of the most authentic places where we can eat unlimited vegetarian North Karnataka meals.
They have live carnatic music on weekends which is amazing.
Great combination of lip smacking food and melodious music. The service was quick well on weekends you have to wait for a while as it's very crowded but till then you can enjoy carnatic music.
The staff are friendly and will serve you quick. Will definitely recommend for people who love Veg north Karnataka food.
