A tiny place with limited items on the menu, but those are so good. Sabudana vada is amazin, one of the best in Blore. The best and authentic Maharashtrian cuisine is available here. They have thali pet, puri bhaji, pav bhaji, misal pav, chapati sabudana kichadi etc.

Great food!! Food quality and taste was both awesome. Tried mahatashtrian food for the first time and it didn't fail!

Being a Maharashtrian, very few hotels which serve Maharashtrian cuisine would impress me. This is one such place. Their food is simple and get tasty. Portion size is enough for a person. Very reasonably priced. Finding a seat here is usually the most difficult part as it's a very small place. This place works on a self serve concept, however the staff here are kind and serve with a smile. Do have their Coconut Poha, Pithla Bhakar and Usle.

Disappointed. Need to improve misal recipe.visited on recommendation. There is nothing like maharashtra misal. That तर्रि on misal was missing. Still gave 5 star as ambience was good n had good family time.

Being from Mumbai & trying out all the snacks at this place. I would rate this excellent. Love the homely atmosphere & healthy food.

Great food. Had Sabudana wada. The other menu items and combos were good too. (Too bad can't try all at once.) They have recenly moved to more spacious location. Will visit again!
niranjan mirasdar
Very good taste. All dishes have authentic maharashtrian taste.

Nice place for Marathi food. Place is small but has a nice ambience like a fast food joint. Price is very low compared to the quality of food, quantity is also fulfilling for 1- 2 person per plate.

Used to frequent this place when it first started out while I was still a student. Was great hygienic food at moderate prices. The ambience used to be reminiscent of old fashioned Bollywood movies. They used to play old Hindi songs on a Cd/casette player/radio. Had a unique menu and was always a good experience dining in there. My favourite was the Dabeli. Hope it's still as good!

Being originally from Mumbai, me and my husband were craving for some authentic Maharashtrian cusine. This place ticks that box to the fullest. Love their sabudana kichidi, misal pav, puri bhaji, poha... All very true to Maharashtrian taste! They have recently relocated and the place is now much more spacious. It's a very well maintained, and clean place.

Best experience all marathi food lover should visit while in Bangalore...

Good authentic Maharashtrian food options, one can surely get the taste and spices of Marathi food. A little expensive for few food items on menu. Good ambience with some music or commercial playing on an radio. All in all a place for the Marathi people if they miss some good Vada pav/misal.

This is the way you people cook... You didn't even bothered to check before delivering the food to us...pathetic
Kanda poha is excellent taste Must try. They politely answers to customer calls, fast delivery and hygiene.

The sandwich was nothing but sliced tomatoes potatoes and onions.... They were thick slices with the bread slathered with butter only in the centre. It had no chutney whatsoever and had very little seasonings. For this reason, the sandwich came apart.. it was insipid. I expected better from a place that claims to make Maharashtra food.

Not sure why it says closed because the place is very much open. May be changed location.

I am a big fan of Marathi food, having spent few years in Mumbai. So dropped by this place last week, with family. We ordered Misal Pav, vada pav, bombay sandwich, sabudana vada, sodakadi, kokam sharbat. Everything tasted wonderful. The sandwich wasn't at par with Mumbai sandwich but the taste was great. Misal Pav was outstanding.

The prices are reasonable. The staff is nice. It is not a big place but well kept. Has a wooden theme fr interiors, which gives it a good look. It is slightly off BEL road and you have to park some distance away as it is in a narrow lane.

Hygienic place with a courteous staff. Love their Maharashtrian delicacies. I would highly recommend the pooris with shrikhand and the kokam sharbat here.
Monalisa
It is a small place on 80 feet road but is served in a vlean hygenic way. This place has excellent sabudana khichdi which I have tried again again. The other items are also good enough
A good place to get a taste of Maharashtrian food if you haven't been home (Maharashtra) in a while. Although it's little expensive for the taste this restaurant offers.
you would definitely like to visit this place.
This is one place to go to if you want to have really really comforting food. The tea, Sabudana Khichdi, Poori Bhaji, usal, lime pickle, everything was so yummy and comforting. Nothing was heavy but at the same time, very filling. This place is a must visit for vegetarians who wants to feel really good and satisfied after having breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Pros: food is tasty..we tried the kande poha and chappati curry (usal)
(place looks Hygienic)
Pls add more variety to the menu (especially the curry/usal with roti)

Cons:very expensive, self service,no parking facility
Azamkhan Mokashi
On a Sunday morning when you think you can have something healthy and you visit this place to have multigrain masala roti (Thalipeeth), you are served the same but halfcooked and into small pieces. Then instead of that I order sabudana khichdi which is also not as good as they used to serve earlier. Quality standards definitely gone down.
Azmal Hossain
Extremely delayed service. Staff busy with their jokes and music and no attention to customers. Food quality okayish. There are better options nearby.
Mythili Hegde
Food is amazing.... Dine in experience at the restaurant is also wonderful.... Food delivery services could be improved a little more since it was not able to meet the expectation😊
Pritesh Kumar
They weren't using different utensils for Navratri and on asking they said that they can use rock salt.... If ur providing some traditional meals then do it wisely... Don't do it just for the name sake to make money
Yogish M
The food was okayish. Had bought sabudana vada and misal paav. But both were very okayish. The vada was undercooked and had no taste. And the prices were too much for the taste.

Cute little small place for quick bites. This place serves authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. One can find the most famous dishes of Maharashtra such as pohe, sabudana khichdi, puran Poli, vada pav and many more. Prices are reasonable. Taste is worth coming here again for. They serve one of the most tasty pohe in Bangalore.
Other things like sabudana khichdi, sabudana wada are also authentic and tasty. Puran Poli is worth dying for. It's Finger-lickin'-good! :). MUST TRY!
Ghee justs melts in the mouth.
They also serve delicious modak.
In beverages, they serve Kadak chai (tea), coffee, raw mango juice which is called panhe. I have tried tea. It's good for those who like Kadak masale wali chai which perfectly suits Bangalore weather. For me, it was too strong. But I liked it. May be because of the weather that day.
Service is slow though. Inspite of the fact that there are 3-4 employees and the place is small enough to satisfy the crowd.
Overall it's a good cute little place to have quick bites with your friends or family.
Pranav Singhania
Small place, very easy to miss on the main road, with very limited seating capacity. They are closed on Sundays or could've probably been more popular. The food is authentic Maharashtrian cuisine (from personal experience and a friend who lived in Mumbai for quite some time). The menu is limited, but has all the legendary dishes. Slightly slow with the service, reasonably priced and good quantity and taste.

We had the Misal Pav and Sabudana vadas. Both, very well made, feels coming straight from your home kitchen, packing all the authentic flavours.

Value for money: 4/5
Ambience: 2.5/5
Taste: 4/5

Being in Maharashtra for very long time made me visit this place to try some homely Marathi cuisine. Place is small where hardly 20 people can sit at max but it's very neat and clean.
We tried vada pav, sabudana vada, poori bhaji, puran poli and shikran. All the items were very good and filling.
Only one advice is they can add couple of more options to the menu.
Will surely visit this place again.

This place is tiny but you won’t be disappointed with the offerings. The sabudana ki khichdi is my absolute favorite. The food is hygienic and tastes great!

A very simple and pleasant place to try some Maratha style food...Puran poli. Sabudana kichadi . Puri Sabji. A must try place for a authentic Marathi style food. The music that is played is really nice. Very polite staff .
Manish
It's one of the few typical Maharashtrian food provider in Bangalore.
The taste is not upto the mark, the ambience is just fine...
The prices are just ok!

don't add coriander in fasting food from next time

The place is quite small but the food is quite tasty. Seems to be authentic maharastrian cuisine. Had the vada pav and misal pav. The vada was too huge and spilling outside the pav. I know this seems funny but it's difficult to stuff the vada pav. The misal was quite tasty. Although it seems expensive.

Taste - 3.5/5
Ambience - 3/5
Value of money - 3/5

Being a maharashtrian, I really craved for some maharashtrian fare and visited this place on a Saturday. I have been to this place before and it used to be expensive even then, but now the rates have shot up prohibitively. They charge Rs 130 for a plate of misal pav when there isnt even enough place to sit and enjoy it. This is a very small almost dhaba like joint but with super duper expensive prices. Varan bhaat, a staple in most maharashtrian homes which is essentially lentil with rice costs >100 rs. Thats not a digestable price ( figuratively of course ) for any maharashtrian.
Coming to the food, the quality and hygiene of preparation used to be really high earlier. However, standards have seriously slipped now. We ordered one plate of misal pav, sprout bhel and one portion pf thalipeeth. The good things are that each of the items was large in portion size and could easily feed one person. But on the taste front, a different story altogether. The thalipeeth was undercooked and we could feel that while eating. Such a shame considering thalipeeth is one of my favourite items. The misal pav, which looked delicious was underwhelming to say the least. The gravy or ‘tarri’ as we call it smelled strongly of what I thought was coconut oil and tasted horrible (to say the least). I havent had this bad tarri in a long time. To be honest, in my earlier visit ( about a year back), the misal pav was excellent. I dont why the taste has plummeted, but hey as long as it sells I dont think it matters.
To top this off, we were seated on a table and the water glasses (made of plastic) were smelling so bad it would have made a skunk blush. The cloth used to wipe down the glasses must have been from a bygone era. After complaining they did replace them with new ones which now smelled strongly of soap, but this was a comparitively acceptable choice.
In all, a great place for novices in marathi food, not light on the pocket at all ( we paid close to 400rs for all that ). Inspite of the pricing, they used to have excellent taste. They should improve the taste back to their own standards on a priority basis

very good maharashtrain food
Nithya Dinesh
Awesome natural food😊..Thank you..
Aparna Manjunath
Food is very tasty and it is an authentic cuisine of Maharashtra. But a little on the expensive SIDE and very small portions. We tried vada pav, dabeli, pav bhaji, thalipeeth, solkadhi, and aam panna.
Pragya Gautam
Marathi style authentic food was served and the packing was amazing. Quantity contained was medium. Nice experience though!!
Anand Narayandas
Ordered from Swiggy in office for team. Amazing maharashtrian food. We especially liked the sabudana vada and khicdi. Vada pav and misal pav were good too but I have had better in Pune/Mumbai. But still worth trying. Will be a regular customer. :)
Akhila Venkatrama
We tried dabeli last evening and it was just out of the world.. mouth watering sabudhana vada and khichidi is a must try.. actually the whole menu is worth trying...!! :) :)

If you are craving for Maharashtrian dishes, then this is the place. The Kolhapuri bhel was too good... just loved it. The vadapav, poha were also quite decent.
Amish
Authentic Maharashtrian taste. Sabudana Khichadi is awesome.
Vivek Belapurkar
This was a good place a year back. Amazing authentic homely Maharashtrian food. I don't know what happened. Food taste and quality has been severely compromised and also the price hike is in vain. 3 stars is being generous.
Ashwin Sridharkumar
Very bad ambience. Cannot seat more than 12 people' at a time.
Thy have an open kitchen with limited exhaust and no A.C making the place like an oven.
They should close the teeny-tiny seating place they have and only have take aways!
Mahammad Shaik
nice food

I was always a fan of misal pav but now seems like it has a tough completion with kothimbir vadi.
The food served here is cooked to perfection.
The food here never disappoints . The staff is very friendly and the service is pretty quick.
Pramod Konde
The food is really awesome. I have tried all the dishes here and as being Maharashtrian, I can tell the taste is quite authentic. Only the issues with Chapati. They are not so good. Otherwise all good.
Rishabh Singh
Great little place. Probably the most authentic vada pav you would find in Bangalore. The kanda poha, sabudana vada were really well made and homelike. The aam panna was great too. The modak is a must have (only available on Fridays though).
Nithin
This quaint little place is run by two ladies. It's clean and the food preparation is very good. I'd urge the owners to put up pictures of the food as portraits or something, as a lot of folks in Bangalore aren't well aware of the maharastrian food. If you visit, you must try sabudana vada and dadape poha.
Shantanu Purohit
Been here multiple times...

Being a Maharashtrian this is my favourite place...

You get exactly what you crave for and the best part is the taste and quality always remains best...

A must try place....

Expected a lot due to the rather high reviews this place got. Ordered takeout so commenting only on the food.

Kothambir vade: only tasty thing that i ordered. Dry but tasty. A good chutney with would have been a nice touch

Vada pav: our hunt ( rather my wife's hunt) for the good elusive vadapav in Bengaluru remains. Doesnt taste bad. But definitely not authentic

Thalipeet: a poor excuse for a wonderful maharastian dish. Tasted like a paltry onion paratha. Cant say if it is authentic or not because i have different versions of it and never was i disappointed. Until now.

Dashami: had it for the first time. Was more palatable than thalipeet

Dabheli: was ok. Still couldn't have been better. Since it is a gujju dish, not being too fussy over it.

Misal pav: this is where i am disappointed!! Hard to get misal pav wrong right? The gravy was just garlic water with some red chilli in it. Horrible to say the least

Puran poli: so disappointed with the rest that i have still not tasted it. My wife said it is good so taking her word for it

Accompaniments: sweet pickle was really nice

Overall would like to encourage this restuarant as there are very few maharastian joints this part of the city. But they really need to up the game!
I visited Kitchen Katta today. The place is small but exceptionally clean and tidy, hope they maintain this standard. In terms of food I ordered Vada Pav, Sabudana vada, kothambir vadi and masala chai.

I was disappointed with the vada pav because the potato tasted like the stuffing used for masala dosa. However, the quality of the food is good. The sabudana vada was quite soft and they make amazing masala chai.

True authentic Maharashtrian style food. Their Misal is very tasty and a definite hit. So is the Puran Poli. Very good.

I have always ordered online from this restaurant, so can't comment on the ambience. From the way they packed different food items, one can sense that these guys are hygienic, and care for the kind of food they serve. That's quite rare these days.

I highly recommend this restaurant.
Naraayan Kannan
Wonderful place for vegetarian Maharashtrian cuisine, you get authentic dishes but all are worth eating on site and not as parcel. Seating is limited, parking is not available so check the lanes nearby.

The puri bhaji is the best, it is as good as any Maharashtrian place. The staff are stretched because believe it or not the parcel system is ongoing all day, it is self service so place your order quickly.

The Masala Bhath is not that spicy, it is more of an after taste. The dadi, batata vade are all good, but all should be had fresh on site. Especially the vada pav as it is not the pav that is used in Mumbai but this is an inferior pav which is only of its kind in Bangalore. Once the supply changes for all of us affected by this pav in Bangalore the vada pav is likely to change. Otherwise the vada is quite good. The dabeli on the other hand is outstanding as this pav is best for dabeli and the mix is quite good for the stuffing.

Limited menu, good people, run by a lady with some quirky messages. No Sundays. Go if you miss Maharashtrian food for certain. All dishes have its charm.

Misal Pav is also great but the usal can be slightly thicker and less liquid. But the taste and flavour of the dishes is authentic. The prices are so cost effective you can eat here every day of the week and not flinch. It is a great replacement for bachelors and single people living without a cook.

Photos of the food attached, the drink is aam panna and it is not served cold, but still nice.
Shrey
One of the best places which serves authentic maharastrian vegetarian food. Very homely and reasonably priced. The sabudana khichdi, Vada and shrikand is a must try
Ankit Bhople
Authentic Maharashtrian taste...
Pleasant ambience and the service is really fast. The menu only will make you eat there. Must try place....

This place serves one of the best sabudana items in the city. The pricing is high, but the items are worth it. They add a little sugar to their sabudana items. One can order ones without sugar depending on preferences. The curd they give along with the dishes is of very good quality and very tasty. Butter milk is yummy and refreshing. Also the best place to go during fasting. They also serve pretty good marathi items and sweets.

Must try: Sabudana vada, sabudana khichdi, Butter milk

Might wanna try: Puran poli

Should never try: None

Food: 4
Pricing: High
Service: 3.5
Ambience: 3

Note: They have recently increased their already high prices, hence check before ordering. I would be skeptic to visit now with the current prices.

Delicious Maharashtrian food. Feels home 😊
Must visit and try all the delicacies. My personal favourites- misal paav and masale bhat! Too good 👏🏼

It's cozy, it's quaint and it's comfort food.

Not much more to ask for.
Tucked away on a busy main street of Sanjay Nagar, this tiny place still sure is a crowd puller.
Has a small limited menu of Mahashtrian items. It looks to be mostly a delivery place and my only issue was the slightly slow turn over time.

It's self service so you'll find yourself getting up to go get your food a few times. Portions are generous and my favorite by far is the Sabudana Khichdi.
It's good, clean, simple food served and gets you to return.

this is maharastrian style small restaurant, as usual took parcel, but a big one..
the packing was perfect as they charge extra this was very well done as the order was big had to wait a little but no issues.. so basically what they gave me was DIY snack boxes where i have to go home and mix with the man at the counter putting the labels (see pics) so lets come to the food
first was misal pav, so they gave pav, misal and the gravy separately mix and have which was good not vey spicy was nice
kolhapuri bhel had mixture, tomato Onion, alu and nimbu in separate boxes, no complaints their a little bit more chatpata would ve been nice
dahi misal is the curd variant i felt little mild spicy it was.
dabeli, puran poli and shrikhand were ready to eat out of the box.
dabeli had nice ghee taste and good filling, shrikhand alos had good elaichi flavour and the right sourness, well puran poli was bit disssappointing as i was expecting a different filling, here it was a sweet paste like filling, but good.
overall good snacking experience, pricing i feel about 10% high, a little off..
this place is at the sanjaynagar end of 80feet road so many people miss, limited seating and other combo options, maharastrian snacks available, good place for a change
pics attached...

Well this was my first visit to an authentic Maharashtrian food outlet. What I realised was that I am no good judge of Marathi cuisine. Anyway, thanks to my Marathi companion who could select the right items for me that could satiate my food craving that evening! We had ordered Kothimbir Vadi, Misal Pav, Dabeli and Sabudana khichdi. I personally liked the Dabeli a lot which tasted very much like a top quality veg patty topped with pomegranate seeds. The misal pav which is a combo of a bun with a spicy curry containing Sev and Coriander leaves was judged good by my Marathi friend who is naturally a crazy lover of Maharashtrian cuisine. The curry was real hot but the overall spice combination was pleasing to the tastebuds. Sabudana khichdi is a bland dish which is generally cherished post a fasting. Still this sabudana khichdi was far better than what I tasted in other places. It had chopped green chilli and was spiced up little bit with pepper and so was palatable for me. However, the kothimbir vadi (coriander tikki) was disappointing. It didn’t taste that good. We ordered one panhe (cooked raw mango juice) and that was also pretty ordinary and actually not good in taste. Overall, I consider this place decent enough for a kind of regular weekend hangout. I won’t mind coming back to this place once gain and trying some more dishes like vada pav, sabudana vada and puri bhaji.
Aditya
Apart from the feeling of happiness that I am getting to eat Maharashtrian food, the homemade kind, they prepared it very well. Kande pohe, Mataki bhel, sabudana vada, Thalipith 😍 and last not least Waran bhat 😋 which you wont get anywhere, were just perfect. A small bit of improvement in thalipith would be to not make it too dry. Else I would give you a 5 star. Thank you for the great home food 😇
Snigdha Agarwal
Tiny place with reasonable rates and good food.
Misal pav - the gravy could have been thicker and less spicy
Vada pav - huge size and finally the original vada pav taste somewhere in bangalore
kothimbir vadi - a little dry, but tasted good. Could have been served with some sort of gravy/sauce
solkadhi and shikran - tasted these items for the first time and loved them. solkadhi is like butter milk and shikran is a healthy mix of banana in flavored milk

One can find it hard to find this place and miss it on a casual drive . Its located at the fag end of 80feet road if you are coming from the ramaiah signal .
They serve some delicious Maharastrian cuisine .
Tried the sabudana khichdi which was served with curd, chillies and a tamarind chutney ( 👌🏿) . It makes a good evening snack .
Had the coconut poha which had loads of coriander, om pudi and cucumber .
The cocum juice is quite refreshing .
Don't forget to try the chai 🙌
All in all a place worth visiting when you want some change in your diet .

I have been craving authentic Maharashtrian-style snacking options in the city for quite some time now. A name that often pops up is Rajavardhan Foods in Jayanagar, which is mediocre or perhaps, below average.

I stumbled upon the existence of Kitchen Katta during a routine session of watching back to back food videos on YouTube. Surprisingly, this Hole in the Wall is not too far off from where I live.

First Impression

Kitchen Katta is a small joint located on the connecting road between Sanjaynagar main road and Ramaiah hospital signal (Ashwathnagar). Easy to locate, you can find ample parking space in the surrounding including space right in front of this 3-table eatery (with multiple bar stools in the opposite). This place is well-lit and feels clean.

The Service

Based on the QSR format, Kitchen Katta is a self-service restaurant where the service is prompt. My order was ready within no time. One major rant is they don’t offer the invoice copy proactively, an observation made after placing two different orders during a single visit.

The Food

After staring at their limited menu for a minute, I settled for Misal Pav and Kothimbir Vadi. The Misal was hot and fresh consisting of all the typical ingredients that a Misal should have. On the contrary, the pav was cold and dry causing an immediate discomfort in the experience of relishing this combo.

The Vadi was straight out of their freezer (looked like ready-to-fry frozen food). It was served with tomato ketchup (they could have included green chutney or something more palatable). It looked like the Vadi was deep fried but not oily. The taste was satisfactory.

The Shrikhand was an outstanding experience. Perfectly sweetened, the paste was just the way it is supposed to be (laced with cardamom).

Pricing

Kitchen Katta belongs to a new breed of restaurants which offer sub-Rs.100/Rs.200 price range. Since they’ve just started, the pricing could have been about 5-10% lower than the current rate card. However, I am not complaining about what I got in return. No second thought about the new wave of experience (Maharashtrian Cuisine) it offers to people in North Bengaluru.

Must try misal pav, aam panna, thalipeet👌. Although the place is a little too conjusting it is worth the adjustment. Must give a visit atleast once.

Dint feel it worth money.. N over dat they charge gst.. N in misal pav they hd used coconut oil in bhaji.. I won't recommend.. Coffee ws 28rs

Useless place. Not worth even a single visit. Price is not matching content. Taste far from satisfactory. We regretted going there today ( 3/10/2017 ). There are better restaurants on that road with better food and at moderate prices. Nothing maharashtrian there.

The best eating joint I have been to in recent times. The best place for a maharashtrian staying away from home. A tiny, clean and fresh place. Anything and everything on the menu is good and authentic and I certify that being a maharashtrian and a food lover. Highlights are ukadiche modak, they are just as tasty as my mom's.

I was looking out for eating at a local authentic place and I landed up at kitchen katta which was recommended by the localaty person. By the looks of the place I thought it wouldn't be anything authentic coz it's got a modern cafe like design. I was quite happy when I saw a plate of Puri bhaji go out for service and I ordered the same coz I didn't bother to look up at the menu, it was quite inconvenient to read at that height. Coming to the actual food service I knew it was homely coz the owner lady was standing in front and preparing modak ( steamed sweet like a momo) which I once herd of from a friend who highly recommend it. As I was eating my Puri I could see the menu better from far and I was still hungry so I ordered for a varan bhaat and then tried the modak to finish. I was quite satisfied with the quality of food, it was clean simple and light for the tummy.
PooSai
Had lot of expectations from this one.. Coz my sister heard itz really good from someone she knows. But as they say... expectations hurts! Except the sabudana vada.. Nothing lived up to the taste buds... The poori's were too oily.. even though the srikhand was good...kotomari vada was too dry without any chutney to go with it..misel pav was not eatable mainly coz they serve everything with cold pav instead of toasting it in butter.. same with vada pav n dabeli.. All cold.. I'm sure they are favourites among many... But not mine really..I like my food warm if not hot...I hope they get better with time..

Sumptuous Maharastrian vegetarian food. Value for money. Good service . Must try .
Good interiors. Homely food .
Misal pav . Poor Bhaji sabu daana vada and modak mouth watering

I have visited here twice a few months back. This place does serve authentic food very close to original local food recipes.
I think for misal paav this is the only place in bangalore. It is as close as possible to kolhapuri misal paav.
Vada in vada paav or kaat vada is little less closer from the original taste that one experiences in Mumbai.
The menu is well thought to bring flavors of Maharashtrian culture to the plate for the bangalore crowd and also to minimize kitchen efforts. There is misal with paav and it's curry in kaam vada. Vada jn vada paav and it's sabji in one of the Thali.
There's the simplest but also closest to the routes of Maharashtra, the 'varan bhaat' which is basically just steamed rice with boiled daal. However how special that is only a Maharashtrian can explain when the person would have the craving for it.
In the vada of kaat vada, batter had more soda to spoil it in my opinion.
Understandably this outlet is closed on Sunday, being explained by owners on one of the frame there. The two ladies who are the owners, prefer to keep Sunday aside to spend time with their families especially kids.
Thr effort and the consistency is appreciable. The cute setting of the place is welcoming. Service is good. Cosing is good as well.
All in all this place is definitely worth a try.

A place where you get authentic maharashtrian cuisine. Place is small but neat and clean ,well maintained with self service. All the items have their own authenticity and you really won't want to miss anything. Taste is homely. Quantity is satisfactory compared to prices. We have tried thalipith, misal pav, masala bhat, kothimbir vadi, kokam sarbat, ukdiche modak, sprouts bhel . All were yum. Next in our list is puran poli :) . Now they started serving breakfast in the morning from 7am. Would love to visit and have healthy maharashtrian items . Looking forward to visit frequently. Must visit and highly recommended.

Poori bhaji, masala bhat and bhel tastes very good. They serve you real quick with hot food which seems like home cooked. It's a small place but a nice place to quickly grab some delicious food

Finally was able to find good Maharashtrian food in Bangalore after a lot of earlier disappointments. In fact went back yesterday as did'nit know you were closed on Sundays. It is rare for an eatery to be closed on Sunday but then kids first so no complaints :). Will surely be visiting again .Keep it up

I was having a clear expectation of getting homely food in a decent ambience. But, you guys are pretty good... Tried Fariyali items and they were really good... Especially Sabudana wada... So crispy and perfectly fried. ... The chutney provided with Sabudana Khichdi was superb...

Your 'Puri's' rocks... So soft yet crispy and perfect thickness... Sorry, couldn't stop writing about that....

Giving 4 right now... Will keep visiting and would love to give you 5 based on other items...

Ambience, this is what I liked... Good mix of space for family and friends...

Homely food and staff
Very clean and hygienic open kitchen
Good food preparation and taste. Delicious and Authentic maharashtrian food and cuisine.
However the menu can be increased to have more items.
Recommend trying Dabeli, Sabudana vada and khickadi and Puran poli.
VERDICT: reasonably prices homely and delectable comfort food. Can make for a quick bite all the way to a heavy lunch!

EDIT: I visited the place again recently and found that the prices have been increased very steeply (misal Pav - 130, talipet - 125) but quantity remains same. I have to remove the reasonably price from the review! Food is still tasty but I have to think twice now (since I can almost get large pizza for this cost!)

I have been to this place number of times. food is good, felt a bit overpriced initially but ignored as I was going less frequently. Last time I visited the place, I was charged 12% of gst on top of their actual price without even giving me a proper bill.
I dont know what is the law, but gst is replacing other taxes like service tax, vat. i wonder they were not charging anything before and suddenly after gst, taking tax money from customers without printed bill.

Too expensive food. Charges increased after GST. Went recently and while we were discussing what to order they added an extra dish to the menu without confirming.

I tried misal pav and it was the exactly like what you get in Maharashtra. Too good.
The people were coorperative there.
I'd suggest misal pav lovers to definitely go and try it out once

When you're missing home, this is a good place to get a bit of Maharashtrian food! Definitely try their Thalipeeth and Sabudana wada. They are open for breakfast as well.

It's a small and cozy place and has got a nice ambience. The food was wonderful and it's a vegetarian's delight. The sabudana vada and khichdi is undoubtedly one of the best I've had in a Long time. The buttermilk, kothimber vadi and the shrikhand were equally yummy. And it's easy on your pocket as well. The staff were very courteous as well. Had a great time. Will definitely visit it again.

Ive been on the lookout for a good maharashtrian eatery for a while in Bangalore, and this fits the bill perfectly. The food is delicious, fresh and has that home-made touch.

We tried pretty much one of everything, since it was the first time we ordered.

Thali-peeth was good, but not out of the world.
Shrikhand poori was the absolute star, a favourite dish of my mum from her childhood.
Misal Pav was super delicious as it always is, and was packed very well.
Sabudana vadas were the best Ive had in the city. Plump, moist, flavourful and still crispy.
Sabudana khichdi has a special place in my heart so I might be biased when I say i loved it.
Chapati Sabji was pretty generic, but tasty nonetheless.
Vadapav could have done with a lot more chutney, and I sorely missed the chili you usually get with it.
Puran Poli was exactly like we make at home, plump with the stuffing and not overly sweet.
The Solkadhi was sadly not up to the mark, and you can safely assume Ive had a LOT of sol kadhi, its my favourite drink.
I will definitely be ordering again, especially for the vadas, khichdi and the shrikhand.

(This review is for a delivered order. )

Clean, fast and simple taste of home food. Food is tasty and not overpoweringly spicy. Misalpav, dabeli, thalipeet and solkadi all hit the spot! Had heard that the place is run by two ladies from Kolhapur and Nasik, was hoping to catch up with them and drop some Marathi lines to get a free vada pav. That didn't happen, the place was manned by a few dudes in uniform who didn't speak Marathi, which took a bit away from the aura of the place. That said the staff was courteous and fast. Will go back...

This place is a great retreat for all Maharashtrians out in Bangalore! The raw mango juice and Kolhapuri Bhel is a must try, being here feels like home.I also tried thalipeet and kothimbir wadi.
Wish the prices were little less!

This wonderful place locked up in a discrete street is a savior for Marathis in the area who crave for Mumbai-Pune street food. I think ambiance was fantastic for a Misal-Pav /Pada-Pav place which are mostly furnished with plastic tables and chairs back home. However, who would care for ambience when the food is as delicious as what is served here. I ordered Misal-Pav and Solkadi for 100 and 50rs respectively, i felt the sol kadi was over priced but one sip of it put all my doubts to rest. It was quite possibly one of the best solkadis ever ! I am a malvani .. I know my solkadi !

Food:- 4.8/5
Ambiance and Cleanliness:- 4.8/5
Value for Money:- 4.2/5

Absolutely delighted with the quality of food served, never eaten a better masala bhat anywhere else in Bengaluru.
Even the misal pav was very very good, almost comes to the standard of what is served in Kolhapur.
Wish the entrepreneurs all the best.
Please maintain the same standard.

The place is really tiny, but rest assured, you'll head back home with a happy tummy, a smiling wallet and an elated heart.
Kitchen Katta is a Maharashtrian eat out started by two women entrepreneurs, who are both from Maharashtra - that explains the authenticity of the food they make. Vada pav, misal pav, dhabeli, kothmir vadi and Puran poli made for a working lunch for two, and each dish is a delightful delicacy. The misal pav especially was an absolute winner for me!
There are just about 3 tables and one high raised table, so getting yourself a seat on a crowded day might be a bit of a problem. But hey, the food is worth it afterall.
Numbers:
Food - 5/5
Ambiance - 4.5/5 (special mention about the wash basin placed right at the side of the entrance. Very thoughtful and neat)
Value for money - 4.5/5 - 5 dishes for 300 bucks is quite a steal :)

Will I go back again ? Definitely ! - can't wait to try their other delicacies like Thalipeet and Bhel :)
You've won yourself a fan Kitchen Katta - soar high !!

We ordered the misal pav , dabeli and tea here. Now this was my first visit here. I got to know about this place through Zomato, which gave this place a 4.1 rating , so I had pretty high hopes from the food at this restaurant. I have got to say , the misal pav, happened to be a total disappointment!!! The spices didn't hit me hard enough, it was somewhat sweet too! The dabeli however , tasted good. Not very good, good! The tea was good too! So if you guys go here n hopes of having truely authentic maharashtrian misal pav, u are going to be very very disappointed.

Food :- 4/5
Good authentic marathi food, I must say. Even in Maharashtra you won't get easily this authentic and real marathi food. It tastes almost similar to my mom's receipe.

Though I wish they had more diverse options to chose from. They serve same potatoe vegetable throughout. That's why 4.5 otherwise it was 5.

Service :- 5/5
The food is cooked in front of you if you order thalpith or something else other than chapati bhaji. The service is quick I must because of shorter menu.

Ambiance :- 4/5
They have neat and clean ambiance. The place is cramped but that's alright for me, I go for a quick bite not for a dinner date.

This place serves authentic maharashtrian cuisine. But what I loved about this place is the feeling of having homely food. It's a no frills place focusing on just serving tasty food. Loved the decor, messages and purpose of the place. All the best to the team!

Used to be one of my most favourite Maharashtrian food places but I have been disappointed with the quality of food in recent times. The flavours are not right.

I've heard about this place run by ladies that I finally got to try some snacks.

I tried:

Dabeli: The best dabeli I've had was when I was in NZ. This was alright, way too tangy..just okay.

Sweet ghee sugar roll. That's just chapati coated with ghee and powdered sugar, brought back childhood memories.

Kokum juice: Was sightly sweet and just OK.

For now, just an alright experience..may be gotta try something else??

The sabudana kichdi is so well made. There is just enough peanut and spice that it is just perfect and not at all greasy. I ordered for home delivery and the packaging was exceptional with a wedge of lime and a chilly. The misal Pav was mind-blowing. Again packaged exceptionally well with the gravy in a box , the mixture in another container and the grams, onion and coriander in another and then the pav. They pay so much attention to detail for a home delivery packaging that I want to visit their outlet to try some more things on the menu. Overall a satisfying meal and money well spent.

The food is very authentic and delicious. It's a lovely small, homely little place and I will definitely go there often! I packed a lot of stuff for my colleagues and they loved the food too!

Food - Good
Ambience - Not applicable
Price - High
Service - Good

What to do? - They deserve to be paid a visit. Marathi and Gujarati cuisine fans, drop in to get some misal paav on your taste buds. However, I would have liked them to keep the costs lower to convert me into a regular.
