Review Chai Point - Bengaluru

Khushbu Patel
If you are looking to meet your colleagues or friends and work from a cafe then this is your place. No crowd, plug points and quite atmosphere. However personally I didn't like the food at this outlet. I have been to other outlets and have been regularly ordering online. The chai had more water than milk which is not usually how they make tea. Must try: Masala Tea Overall food and tea are expensive which is justified as they provide the place where you can for hours and work. I somewhat recommend this place.

Visited on 25th Nov, Friday. Pleasant and soothing ambience, not so much crowd, we spent an hour for tea and snacks. There was an offer going on - With 5 pieces samosa, get one chai free. We took Elaichi chai and Kashmiri kahwa. I really like Kashmiri kahwa which is must try.
Naresh Kumar
Chai point was good had the suleimani chai with samosa chat. Service was on the slower side. But the food was good. Ambience was good, they tables were too close to each other. ๐Ÿ˜… Overall different experience.

Great place to have Tea and snacks. We like it so much that our every visit to HSR either start or end at Chai Point. Great team and good service. 1st floor seating though need some attention.
madhurendra sinha
This is a wonderful place where you can sit in peace and enjoy your tea which is really good. Paneer Parantha here competes with any good restraunt's product in north India. Very tasty and fulfilling. Quite, spacious and beautiful. Excellent ambiences. Staff is efficient and courteous.

Really nice place to have a banana cake and a Chai. The rates have gone up compared to how reasonable it used to be, but still a pocket friendly option compared to Starbucks or Third wave coffee, plus the place has charging sockets so you can bring your laptop and work.
gyanendra jha
Usual Chai Point this. spread over 2 floors, it's got a really nice ambience and feel upstairs on the 1st floor. Would recommend you to get yourself comfortable on the 1st floor and enjoying your cup of tea. We ordered a masala chai and a filter cold coffee, both the beverages were top notch and didn't disappoint. I'm highly impressed with the COVID protocols and safety precautions in place at this outlet

We decided to have some snacks with Indian tea after visiting Basaveshwara Gayatri Temple on Saturday evening so Chai Point came first in my mind. Food/Snack:- I ordered 1 Dum tea & 1 Ginger tea that happens to be not so great so not more than 3 ๐ŸŒŸ. Believe me my wife prepares better tea than Chai Point๐Ÿ˜€ Tea followed the Maharashtra's famous snack Vada pav and it was really simple and tasty. It deserves 4 ๐ŸŒŸ. Somosa did not meet the expectation so not more than 3 ๐ŸŒŸ. For my wife I ordered Banana cake and that turns out really tasty and secured 4 ๐ŸŒŸ. Value for Money:- I feel this place is bit costly for Indian snacks but given the Bangalore's situation, not so costly and I give 4 ๐ŸŒŸ Ambience:- It's nice, clean with proper lighting and sitting arrangements on ground and first floor with high wooden chairs.(4 ๐ŸŒŸ) Location:- It's on the 27th main road, HSR, easily noticable from moving vehicle. Parking is available on the road itself. Service:- self service restaurant so nothing much to say. I recommend everyone to visit Chai Point once in a while to get some refreshments.

Good place, well maintained. Staff is very friendly. We had ginger and masala Chai and they are both very good. They sell snacks as well. Bun maska, puff are good.
Deepti Prasad
My favourite chai place. Best one is ayurvedic tea. Although I don't like there upma and poha much. Ginger and masala tea is also good
Sudeshna Duttachowdhury
Evening sorted with some chai and snacks. Some good conversation over tea cake, rusk and irani chai. Also they have more food options if you are super hungry. Ordered an egg Paratha and it was more than just a snack and very fulfilling.

What a loud place, I kept requesting for the music to be lowered, the server kept behaving he didn't hear me and infact increased it.
There are dirty cartons stacked against the wall.
The service makes you feel unwanted as one approaches to pick the order .
Devika Ghatge
Whenever you order from here please don't use the option for instructions . Because this cafe doesn't follow or even read the cooking instructions sent.
Mohammedashraf797
Ordered Elaichi tea and received Ginger tea instead. Couldnโ€™t make out the difference since Chaipoint havenโ€™t mention flavour outside the packaging.
Leeza Chawla
I am a big ginger tea fan and this place has always been my favourite. This chai point is centred at a perfect location. You just need to pick your oder and choose a spot at 1st floor. Rest spend your time sipping your tea and look outside at a lively 27th main.
Jhoomer Sinha
Decent quality tea and good variety in food. Have had ginger tea, elaichi tea, samosa, banana walnut cake, poha and paranthas from here and been satisfied with both quantity and quality
Antony
Just an avg place which sells overpriced tea. The ginger tea that I ordered was watered down and overboiled.
Sandhya Nair
Ordered a couple of vada pav, a dabeli and chicken samosa. The dabeli was spoilt. It even had a bad smell. The vada pav wasn't eatable either. The vada tasted dry and not fresh. Whereas the pav was tough. Extremely disappointed!
Gisha Francis
I used to order the chicken tikka sandwich from here regularly coz I loved the taste. That was earlier. The last few times the sandwich has been becoming increasingly bad. At times the sandwich is not grilled. The last time though the chicken seemed stale. It left such a horrible feeling in my mouth that I had to throw away most of it.
Would love to see the old quality back. But will think quite a few times before trying it again.
The chai however most times has been really good. Should give them that!
Vijay Jagannath
Why fix something that's not broken. I loved their anda cheese paratha. It was one of my all time favorites. They used to serve it with mint chutney and mango chutney. It was one of the most perfect meals ever accompanied by their ginger chai. Favorite breakfast or evening snack (period)

But now they have replaced the mint and mango chutney with pickle. Let's forget pickle for a second, the last time I ordered they sent jam. I couldn't believe for a second that they sent jam with anda cheese paratha. I hope they take this feedback seriously and bring back the mint and mango chutney.

This place is located in hsr at very in middle of the hsr 27 main and can be located very easily, this place has 2 floor of seating.

I went along with my friends by evening time, we ordered ginger tea, masala tea and few snacks.

The tea was very average and so do the snacks.
I felt they really need to work for tea as lots of options are a available in hsr.

Please keep some good options for snacks as well.

Staff was polite though.
Akash Shrivastava
Chai point is good for chai only. I go for Ginger lemon tea everytime with honey twigs.
What I don't like is snacks like puffs parathas etc. I don't recommended it but chai is awesomely awesome.
Abhishek Kushwaha
This place has become pathetic. There is huge fish market type situation all the time because of delivery boys. You can't enjoy your chai. Also these people don't switch on AC all the time. Even after asking for 2-3 times they kept ignoring. Go to this place to destroy your moment
Sumesh Somarajan
Ordered a chilly cheese toast, but not sure what I was delivered. It looked like a cold piece of rotten bread. Please improve your standards.
Pink Ribbon
If one can take a break in a clean and neat environment, after a schlep in the neighborhood, to just enjoy a cup of tea, slice of cake - then I would make a beeline to Chai Point. The cafe is huge and well attended to and it's a great place to enjoy an assortment of teas/coffee and snacks, all at a reasonable price.
Rupal Prakash
This place has decent options for breakfast.
Ginger tea is very nice and goes well with Poha.
I love their Anda Parantha with cheese, especially the Mango chutney they send along with it is unavailable 90 % of the time . Very difficult to get it on the current menu.
Please fix this issue.
Nizwa ใƒ„
Have always loved the consistent quality and the packaging of the food here. Ordered some Assam Tea which was still hot in the flask and a slice of Banana Cake that was spongy and just the right amount of sweet. Tried the Anda Paratha for the first time and it was filling and delicious.
The bun omelette was also nice here
Sukanya Senapaty
Hey the egg puffs are really bad. This has happened to me more than thrice now. It's stale and I feel they send 2 or 3 days old egg puffs cuz it's cold and damp. When you take a bite you can taste the dampness. Please look into this asap chai point
Yashica Singh
Food is overrated. Chai is amazing, however other items are below expectation. I had ordered Poha and Vada Pav. Both the items didnโ€™t meet my expectations. Thumbs up for hygiene and delivery
Shivu R H
Veg puf was cold and half baked, chai was good. Nothing more to write, Zomato forcing to write comments minimum 140 characters. Trying make 140 characters to satisfy Zomato.
Vikas Singh
Always item missing. Late notifications. Rude representatives. Has happened too many times to be genuine case. Always item missing. Late notifications.
Dinesh Rawat
Best location right at the centre of 27th Main in HSR. GREAT Options for tea lovers and good spread of snacks both veg and non veg. My personal fave is ginger lemon cold and hot tea , banana cake egg puff and samosa. India runs of chai .. indeed !!
Manidipta Dey
The very special #sulaimani tea we tried. It was very refreshing and really great taste. They have a lot of collection for tea specially mashala, green tea and some snacks. Good place for spending some time. Chai Point is best cafe
Sirish B
Don't know what's special. Exhorbitant priced chai. Bad quality snacks (frozen food reheated, basically). Ambience is meh.
Better to visit normal south Indian standing restaurants where you can get high quality freshly prepared snacks for 1/4th the price. And oh, these restaurants serve the best teas and coffees too at 1/5-1/6th price!
Pallavi
The best place to satisfy your breakfast craving if you r bored of the routine. I personally prefer poha..thats sure to tickle ur taste buds and healthy at the same time. Ginger chai a uniflask can serve atleast 2 to 3 people until you are a tea addict.
Rohankumar Rao
Had ordered samosas and Tea from here for our team meeting. the samosas was good but the tea was sugar less we had to get sugar from outside and have the tea but overall good experience.
Prasad Khole
Yet another appreciative review for Chai Point!
Visited this in the evening yesterday. As a routine, ordered teas (duh!). This time we wanted to try Iced Tea, so ordered 3 flavors of Iced Teas. Lemon Iced Tea, Cranberry Iced Tea and Kokum Iced Tea (being a Maharashtrian, I never say "No" to Kokum!).
I loved all 3 teas, as I love the most of them from Chai Point.
For amateur tea lovers, the sequence is as follows: Lemon -> Cranberry -> Kokum.
Abi RSK
Very poor customer service. 3 times they have sent wrong order. When contacted through zomato no response from them. Never expected such customer service from a brand like chai point. First try to address the Customer issues.
Mayuri Bansal
Huge indoor seating. Chai joint across Bangalore. A bit pricey for the quality and quanity. Chai is good, snacks are average. CCD sort of format.
Zahid Khan
It was surprisingly a good experience we ordered masala tea and ginger tea along paneer tikka sandwich and clas -sic chai cake .cake was a bit dry but tasted I love Sam more
Sasmita Panda
Just ordered 2 items from this outlet and the content they serve is for the world to see(just look at the half filled bottles). Really, folks at Chai point - half-filled bottles? THIS is how you increase your revenue and reduce costs, minimum quantity and courtesy be damned?
Niju Mohan
Please be careful with online orders. Ordered upma and sandwich and only got sandwich. Please confirm that the order in correct before sending out with the delivery guys. They say this is what they got it and they can't do anything
Rahul Singi
My go to place for tea and located in prime location of HSR. They have nice setup to sit and work and do your meetings. They have few quick bites also there which are okay in taste.
Akanksha Shah
Stopped by for a drink and not chai. Ordered the mango lassi or milkshake I suppose for my friend and he liked it. Cannot comment much on this place but found it clean and pleasant.
Kaviyarasan P
Always been skeptic of people who sell tea for more than 100 bucks. Just wanted to try once, so I ordered tea and somasa and the samosa was cold not just normal cold it seemed like it was refrigerated for some time. I honestly cannot say for how long because the inside was actually chilled. At least they should have had the courtesy to microwave that bloody thing before sending it. When I complained to zomato their reply was that they were not able to connect to the people at the restaurant and they will make sure it won't happen next time. I ain't ordering from here ever again. Not just that they added 27 zomato credits to my account, these people think trust can be bought by money such cheap people.
Shanta Patil
I ordered poha and its quantity was so less as if someone had it half and got other half. Quantity is not worth the amount, but taste was too good. I tried to contact and complain Chai point but couldn't reach.
Jeffy Susan
It sucks big time. The chocolate shake I ordered today tasted like a tonic. I wud not recommend chai point to anyone in future. Its the worst experience I ever had
MARGEE PATEL
We have ordered chai with samosa. But they delivered poor quality vadapav instead of samosa
Shirley Thomas
Chai point t 27th Main is one of the larger Chai points around. Offering is same as other chai points. Ginger tea is good. Sides are mostly limited and in most cases not made fresh. They heat it and give. However taste is nice. Overall a good place to have chai
Aniketh V
The poha ordered was burnt and overcooked... Terrible taste...it looked as if it was cooked from the previous days remaining poha.
Never ordering again from Chai Point... Totally disappointed.
Swarnava
Decent place. But don't really justice to the name of chai point. Everything else tastes great except the chai. We order sandwiches and puffs many times and everytime it was fresh tastes really good. But unfortunately the chai is very watery and does not tastes good. The rating I gave is based on the side dishes
Anshu Priya
This chai point outlet is near NIFT college HSR. Ambience is neatly done. Liked ginger tea and carrot cake. one star less for the price. It just feel guilty to pay 70 bucks of a cup or regular ginger tea.
Chan (Gastronauts' Den)
If you love tea, Chai Point is one of the amazing places in Bangalore which serve different variants of tea such as ginger, elaichi, masala, and more. Have visited this outlet quite a few times for their Masala Tea and Jaggery Tea which were good. Tried their samosas too which were pretty decent.
Gouri
I frequently order from Chaipoint and I love it. But since the last 2-3 orders, I have noticed that the quantity of Chai has been reducing. And when you pay 89 Rs for the uni flask, you definitely feel cheated and disappointed.
Ashish Thapliyal
Chai point has become the name synonymous with chai and yet I did not find it, well, not where it should be. Ordered ginger tea and It was ok. Expected to be better for the price point. Banana cake was good. Seating is uncomfortable. All high chairs and tables. Ambience overall is good. Definitely think it need to improve on tea if they wish to sell it at premium pricing
P Singh
It was surprisingly a good experience as my husband and I had never taken his parents for tea/coffee to any place except CCD.

We ordered Masala Tea and Ginger Tea along with Paneer Tikka Sandwich and Classic Chai Cake. Cake was a bit dry but tasted fine; rest of the items were very good.

Apart from these, few slices of Banana Cake and a Keema Bun was available. I wish they had more options to eat at 7pm on 1st January.

Seats were comfortable for youngsters like us but senior citizen didn't like the hard wooden seats, and also the fact that they had to climb a flight of steep stairs to get to a normal height chair, as ground floor had only high-chairs.

Definitely worth going again for trying other tea variations on their menu, and perhaps their Maggi too ;)
Sanjeev Kumar Dangi
Ordered chai and samosa during office meeting. Chai was ok but samosas was cold and not fresh. Not sure why they are charging premium rates. If somosa is even heated in oven, it takes lot of time for it to get it cold.
Rahul Sali
Chai is definitely the drink of India and when you try to make more n more options with the traditional drink of India it's gonna be amazing.

Chai point is such one company with various offerings of Chai in medium n large sizes catering to wide range of Chai lovers.

I tried there green tea in HSR LAYOUT outlet which is one of the biggest I suppose with two floors where you can sit with friends and continue talks for
Hours and also do your work without any hassle.

Best for corporate ppl and hangouts in lunch n snack times.
They offer affordable Chai varieties and you also have option of collecting points for regular hangouts which you can redeem after certain amount.
Must try for all Chai lovers and hangouts

Place - Chai point
Location - 27th main road, sector 2,HSR layout , bengaluru
Name of the dish - green tea

Rating (out of 5)

Restaurant - 4
Dish featured - 4
Flavours - 4
Service - quick & friendly
Overall - ๐ŸŒŸ ๐ŸŒŸ ๐ŸŒŸ ๐ŸŒŸ

It's always great eating ordering from Chai point. But each place has its own feel. So here goes my review

Food 5/5: We Ordered samosa, ginger tea from here. It was awesome. Coming from North India very few places are where you can savour the actual taste of samosas.

Quality 5/5: I have had bad experience with Koramangala branch regarding the quality but this placed removed that bad experience.

Reshivivek1
I asked you for Mini and you gave me a Uni flask of chai. While you charged me for Mini.
Srinivas R Shetty
Friendly staff's and awesome place to have best authentic Chai and snacks.Ginger Chai and Banana cakes are my all time favorite.Cheers to Chai Point.
Laxmi Raj
Chai point is supposed to be go to place when it comes to chai, however, was quite disappointed. Ginger tea was just decent and though the price was on higher side. Snacks are mostly ready to serve and just OK. I had high hopes but not upto mark.

Food: 3/5
Ambience: 4/5
VFM: 2/5
Deepali Gudulkar
Good for Chai, but much costlier than a regular chai outside. Is it only due to the brand?
The banana cake tasted stale, can you beat Hatti Kaapi's Banana cake?
Please don't serve Filter Coffee, anybody would prefer a Udupi filter coffee over yours
Divey Jain
The outlet is beautiful and located at the prime location of HSR. At evening 6pm, most of the snack items were out of stock. Service needs improvement as they passed our order to someone and then we had to mutually adjust with some different order
Ankita Saha
Well, Chai Point has always been a favourite hangout place. But this one in HSR has its own and fresh ambience. The price is a little too high for the quality of the Chai, though. The sandwiches, cakes and other stuffs are good, not the best. It gets a 3 out of 5 overall.

Kowshik U S
watery upma
Ritu Agrawal
I love chai point. For someone like me to which tea acts like fuel while at work chai point has been a blessing. We order so many times and it is amazing to know that someone can deliver tea to our doorstep. Thank you chai point :-)
Scorpion
Everyone I order I never got d items wat I order.
After u place order dey accept and give u a call dat we don't have this item or dat item and every time replace ur order.
Dere are only 3-4 things that are good here and u never get it because of dis.
I think flying cup is a better option than chai point.
Adil Beg
Folks got to improve your Chai Experience please. Your brand stands for chai and we all run on it
Our occasional drop-in place to sit and have a quick discussion. Honestly food is nothing much to talk about. Ambience is nice though.
Tea 2/5-
Usual masala tea is very bad. Always luke warm and not brewed properly. May be delivery experience is better. I can see exotic looking cardboard Chai Flasks going out in high numbers. Havenโ€™t tried though.
Bun Maska 0/5 -
Bun Maska is a disappointment every time. Bun is always stale and brittle. Sugar sprinkled on it makes it unpalatable
Classic Chai Cake 5/5 -
Only saving grace and worth mentioning. It actually is good.
Bindu Madhavan
Good tea and thatโ€™s about it! badly designed seating and to add to it just takes forever to get your order which they have to only microwave. With 56Rs for a medium sized ginger tea, they had better improve their service, decor and overall cleanliness
Kashi Vishwanath Reddi
Hello guys
We. ordered few items from Chai point.
Unfortunately we see a glass piece in the shake.
Which is not very much acceptable.plz look in to it.
Rest were good but pava bajji is very very cold. Tq
Sandeep Batlad
The bun items are always outdated at this outlet; Not fresh and hard like rocks. This was the second time experience and I had to review it. Proof check the bun/bread items before ordering.
Arushi
Not a tea toatler but definitely a chai lover!

A cup of tea and bun maska to go with it - filling and satisfying.

India runs on chai - couldn't agree more! Find a place to sit and sip a cup of tea (or more), have conversations (or not), get your work along or just get a good company.

Chai Point is definitely my cup-of-tea!
Deepak Tiwari
Ordered Tutti fruity bun maska. The bun was very old and stale. It was hard like stone. All orders received previous were good.
This time we just had to throw it away.
Complaint on zomato and no action was taken. Even call from chai point was just all talks and nothing else.
Saumyajyoti Das
Ordered first time from Chai Point. Utterly disappointed with the overhyped and overpriced outlet.

Wait time is close to one hour. The quantity of food is so less that I felt as if I'm collecting souvenir from the outlet.
Nithin Janardhanan
Trust me on this, my roots are from Munnar. They are ripping you off!!. A premium tea powder and only single use would not cost you more than 10-12 rupees to make a glass of tea.
I can make better tea than this, f...... a.......
Selective Eater
Ginger tea from chai point is always great!
Himadri Das
The coffee is always cold and sometimes they forgot to serve sugar and I think you should work on food quality n taste
Gautam Mohan
I have ordered multiple times from here but never visited personally. Recently visited this place for evening tea.

Nice ambience like a cafe.
They serve tea in Regular, Medium and Large size.

Ordered ginger tea with samosas.
The tea has rich taste. Samosas were Yummy too.

The only concern I have is; it is bit pricy. Tea is a necessity in India. If it costs 120 bucks to have two cups of tea, not every body would prefer it. I agree the pricing should be competetive but I feel it can be made better. Reducing a star for this, otherwise the chai is absolutely brilliant.
Sayantan Roy
Always they will deliver the wrong order or give you partial order, this has happened to me from this particular outlet at least 7-8 times till now, I don't ever write reviews but this outlet is extremely poorly managed and hence I decided to mention this.
Siema Sunder
I ordered for banana cake and vada pav... Vada pav was not expected the way it came... Way too salty.. The pav used is not fresh... No chilly given with it and no masala...
Pranati Mohapatra
Food was good but didnt get the 100 rs cashback on paytm. I had applied the code on checkout. You shouldnt promote these offers if these are actually not working.
Sudhan Saravanan
Faster than expected delivery time..

This place is perfect for Tea Lovers. Tea lovers want refreshing tea with snacks .. That's all. And if you get great ambience with great music...where you can sit with friends...That is heaven for them. And you know what...we get all here.
They have 2 floors...Where you can sit and take sip of your tea.
I been to lot of branches of Chai Point before. Most of them I found good.

Here I had Ginger Tea and Maggie....Perfect combo for tea lovers. Both were refreshing.

Cost I feel is high. Medium size ginger tea and normal Maggie cost me Rs 115.

Leaving cost aside... rest experience was great. Loved it.

Delivery Review :
First Delivery -
In delivery through Zomato they have currently flat 50% off offer. We ordered Ginger Tea Flask + Pakora combo. Cost was Rs 119 after offer. Flask was containing 2 small cup ginger tea. Yes, cups were also provided with it and tea was hot.
Pakora were not best but above average in taste. Improvement can be made. And service was also quick.

Second Delivery -
Ordered tea and snacks on International Tea Day(15 December). Ordered :-
Ginger Tea Flask - They delivered the tea in Cardboard Flask. Tea was hot in it and amount sufficient for 2 people.
But this time tea cups are not given.
Veg Puff - It was fresh and hot. Filling of it was good. Loved it.
Banana Cake - It was OK but it was cold.
Upma - It was good but this also was cold.
Biscuit - Anytime, there biscuits are great to have. Love them.

Overall average experience in delivery.
Himadri Das
Coffee rate is too high... Breakfast could have more varieties
Siddharth Panigrahi
Ordered vermicelli and Vada pav from here.

The vermicelli was little spicy and had a fine taste. (3/5)

The vada pav was cold and the vada inside was also not that good in taste. (3/5)

We ordered the planner basil croissant, and ginger tea. It was really tasty and filling.
Tea is served in flasks and hence itโ€™s hot when delivered.
Very happy with the service, and food.
Sanketh B
The masala, ginger and cutting chai taste great. Serving portion (for 2) is a little less. Prices are a wee bit on the higher side. Uniflask is a great idea for piping hot tea delivered home in the evenings!
Manjunatha Marabanahalli
It was not hot
Rachit Kansal
Had ordered tea and poha today. The tea was fine but the poha. The can was literally half filled. It's almost like making a fool out of your customers. Terrible strategy to earn money!!
Nikhil Kataria
Ginger tea is nice! Avoid vada pav.
Raj Patel
Quantity is less also quality is very poor..when I ordered for first time it was great but after that it is getting worse.
Sougata Ghosh
A good endeavour to quench the thirst of tea in the city of Bangalore where people mostly love to have filter coffee...
This outlet is having multistorey seating arrangement with a lovely location...
Great place to hang out with your friends and family enjoying the tea. We had masala tea, ginger tea and cutting tea... All of them are lovely...
Arun P
very less quantity
Himanshu Sharma
+ food taste is good.
- late delivery and cold food, of course due to late delivery.
Please try to improve the delivery services.
5 stars for Zomato for their support process.
Manjunatha Marabanahalli
Tea was leaked 90%
Manjunatha Marabanahalli
Tea was leaked completely

It was extremely disgusting to order for a flask of jaggery tea and deliver plain old dum chai for that price. Itโ€™s cheating your customers . How can you mix up orders like this ? I want a full refund and I would never order from here again !!Callous attitude
Nadia Khan
Their banana cake is delicious. And it smells even better than it tastes. I like to smell its packet when the cake is all gone.
Ginger tea is also as per my taste, with lots of ginger.
