Review Grandma's Kitchen - Bengaluru

All the popular kerala food options, the place was deserted when we walked in however food was fresh and tasty. Vegetarians also have some good options to choose from. Service is reasonably quick and reasonably priced, for the sort of cutlery , food is cheap in comparison to kuttanad.

Tasty food more like home made. Yummy beef curry with soft chapatti.. Wish they have more variety of food!

Good Kerala style food and reasonablely priced. The place is quient very hygiene and service is quick. Ordering fish is a good option as the fish is fresh well prepared. The Kerala style meal and other veg and non veg dishes are also really well prepared and taste authentic. On weekends during lunch time you might have to wait a while to get a table. They have special breakfast for the weekends, the appams and stew is a must have.

Good Kerala food.We visit occasionally as it never upsets your stomach. It seems they don't use agino motto or other taste making chemicals.Much much dependable than Thalassery Restaurants

Naymeen fish tastes just great! Awesome place to have fish. You get pink water as you sit on the chairs. Sometimes you get complimentary buttermilk. Very generous place.

The place to go to for some authentic Kerala cuisine. Their Kappa biryani, Iratchi fry and Chicken Roast are must have dishes here.

The food was good and the owner/ person who served us was very friendly and made sure that we were very happy with our meal. He even made sure that a vegetarian had a good choice of food to eat

Has ordered paneer gravy with chapati. The chapati wasn't that good and was little like Puri. The panner gravy tasted really wonderful but had little too much oil. The taste and packaging is good overall

Located in the by lanes of Kammanahalli main road , the view is not good at all.
We had been there late afternoon after work. Had ordered beef biriyani, appams, paratha’s, beef curry and chicken curry.
Appams were nice and hot and so were the parathas.
Chicken curry was sweet. Was not expecting that.
Beef curry masala was tasty but the pieces were all mashed up. Hardly got to eat anything.
Biriyani had the same beef curry.
All in all it was ok. Will come back only for beef dishes.

Absolutely loved this place. What’s not to like. It’s got a simple but nice interior décor (pretty neat for their standards) and a a mallu feel (the music and interior decors). It tends to get pretty crowded most times. We noticed this place when we visited Arirang and decided to definitely come one day.
We went to have some nice kerala cuisine, as my wife was craving some kappa. So we decided to go there and give it a shot. We had Erachi biriyani, Kappe biriyani, Mathi fry, Pomfret fry (was bad though) and a nice Sulaimani tea. Every dish touched the mark with regards to the flavour, Quanitity and essence. The service was a tad bit slow though, probably because of the crowd. We ordered a Chilly beef (which turned out to be Chinese, not the kerala style chilly beef ), and it was pretty good too.

I am giving a 5 for the Food taste and the pretty awesome pricing, and a 3.5 for the service (friendly and courteous, but they need to work on the interior seating and time taken for the delivery of food).

Came by this little shop tucked away in one of the by lanes of busy kammanahalli while I was doing my weekly meat shopping. Albeit tiny, it's a cute little joint with interesting decor to match the cuisine. It is in the lane right opposite Sansar mall. Google it.

We ordered :
- beef roast
- prawn roast
- chicken biryani
- seer fish fry
- Kerala parrotta
- fresh lime

The prawn roast wasn't great. There was one particular spice that was over done, I can't say for sure but maybe mace or nutmeg. It dominated the dish. However, portion size was great so was the size of the prawns.

Beef roast on the other hand was great. The beef was cooked perfectly and there wasnt much fat in the meat, unlike most mallu joints.

Chicken biryani was typical thalasery style biryani. It was loaded with flavor, loved it

Seer fish fry looked like it was deep fried, I prefer it pan fried. Taste was decent. The meal by itself was very reasonable.

Overall I would recommend this place for Malabar cravings, the only reason I am marking it down is because we requested to parcel our food, we forgot about it and so did they! That being said, will be back for more.

When you plan to take a stroll on a cold bangalore morning, nutin sparks up ur taste buds than some authentic malayali food. And me being a mallu, its been long i had a proper southern kerala breakfast, hence made a point to go to Grandama's kitchen.

Its a small restro tucked away in the busy streets of kamanahalli. The hotel is not fancy but yet very neat.People working there are very polite.

I must iam happy with the qualitu of food.I ordered aapam, egg curry and chaya..Aapam was good but bit sour, egg curry was really good and mild.

Overall you definetly wanna check this place for it takes you back to your childhood in kerala if you had one ever.

Newly opened Kerala restaurant with a not-bad ambience. Food is kind of recommendable. But very late when it comes to serving. Overall a good experience but you will not find that great taste from this place.

I was hesitant at first as there are a dime a dozen 'authentic' Kerala food joints. I visited more out of necessity and was pleasantly surprised. Their meals was very tasty. We ordered 'kili meen' and a beef roast. The beef was one of the best I've had and the fish was tasty but charred as is custom for a fish fry.
I will visit again.

A small and homely mallu place that serves authentic Kerala style food.
I ordered the chicken biryani and kebabs for lunch. The biryani was typical Thalassery biryani which I'm not a big fan of but it was nice, the kebab was pretty good and tasted like how it would in any Kerala restaurant.
Lastly had some lemon tea/ Suleimani and it tasted fantastic.
Overall it was a nice place with reasonably priced food and ambience.

A small homely place set up by a malayali family.
Tried kappa Biryani which had a good amount of well cooked spiced peppery beef.
Appam & chicken roast .. the roast was a let down too hard & big chunks of chicken.
Egg Biryani was a typical Kerala style Biryani which was exactly the same which we get in Kerala.
They said their specialty is fish and I tried the kilimeen...it wasn't a pan fried fish it was deep fried & lacked taste and moistness, suggestion : pan fried peppery version of meen fry which we do at home would be the best way.

All in all a pocket friendly place to come have a meal and get the Kerala feel.
