Review Srinidhi Sagar Food Lines - Bengaluru

Wilson Menezes
Good Seating facility with lot of food menu options. For quick bites its suitable place and limited parking space for two wheeler too. Breakfast menu is good, coffee and tea too. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner. i had once stomach upset with Gobi Manchurian, Taste is good and good amount for price. but stomach got upset
Christine Shenoy
The cardamom tea and beetroot dosa were really good. Loved the sambar too!
s shash
They serve good food and nice coffee. In the whole locality this is the only place that is reliable for neat and hygienic veg food. I recommend this place which has very apt menu to suit all the slot of day.
Aruna R
Good for the quick bite. The food was delicious especially mini north meals. Worth the price.
sanjeev srinivasan
Quite hygienic compared to some of the other such restaurants; a wide variety of meal options and light refreshments; professional staff; fresh and tasteful food mostly and a nice seating space are the good things. Most of the items come with a relatively small serving size.
Jai Anand
Srinidhi Sagar Food line restaurant is good for quick bites. Good breakfast items, coffee, tea. Serving food is really fast and god, but we need to take food from counters (self service). Here I like masal dosa, idli vada sambar. If you are near by looking for good breakfast, try this place.
fauzia banu
Good quality food with a high standard of hygiene at a reasonable price. No compromise on the taste and quality.
Lavanya S kundar
From srinidhi Sagar to Srindihi Coffee House it has been changed. Menu everything is changed Now it's too good and the food is amazing and affordable too. More hygienic hotel.
Neelam Gawande
A best place for a quick snack. They offer North and South Indian food. This place is very hygienic and provides tasty food. Generally it is very crowded around 11-1.
Madhan P
Good food. Not too crowded. Consistent taste over the past almost 20 years ! And now in its New Avatar as SriNidhi Coffee House
shaheed Khan
Nice place for good food. Medu Dosa is phenomenal
Shreya Suraj
Absolutely delicious mysore masala dosa
Venkatesh S Raja
It's very similar to a Udupi restaurant present in Bangalore, food is good and price is affordable
Rajarajeswari M
Tasty food; cheaper rates. A few chairs for those who choose to sit.
manideep reddy
Chutneys were good and they had a good menu with a lot of options to select from. I ate tatte idli and mysore masala dosa. Idli was okay and dosa was crispy and tasty
Nithya Reddy
Vada is tasty & proper size. Sambhar is sweeter.
Taste : 4.5/5
Packing : 4/5
Delivery 4/5
RAVIKANTH K
Missing extra items ordered for...do not add anything extra to the dish, as hotel staff may miss. Pathetic app of zomato as there is no resolution method for the errors...
Chapi
Whatever the time of the day, or night, get smoke free along with your coffee, or food. There's ALWAYS, ALWAYS someone smoking at the front of the restaurant and the smoke inadvertently comes in to the restaurant and fills up with smoke of cigarettes and beedee too. Sometimes, some customers even walk in while smoking. So if you're looking to get some smoke for free, this is the place for you. However, if that's not something that you prefer, there are always other options, that I'll have to start using too.
Ajinkya Kothawale
Filter Kapi was really nice, paav bhaaji could have been better. Service is quick since for such restaurants turn around time has to be real quick.

Been here during my stay at Indiranagar.
Its a popular self service restaurant in this vicinity especially for South Indian cuisine.
Ambience is very standard.

A nice place for breakfast or evening snacks.
The only major disappointment was the time taken from order placement to food readiness.

Had ordered below for our brunch

Paper Plain Dosa
Rawa Masala Dosa
Masala Dosa
Chinese Combo Meal
Badam Milk
and
Pineapple Juice

Food 3.3 out of 5.0
Ambience 2.5 out of 5.0
Value for Money 3.2 out of 5.0

The top two food items will recommend.
Rohan Merchant
Decent place for a quick, reasonable meal. Idli vada and south Indian meal are great and quite filling. Hygiene is hit and miss but one of the better places on this stretch overall.
Robert
I have been charged extra 70 rupees online for the order I placed on 17th May with Srinidhi Sagar Food Line via Zomato. Too bad. No refund yet.

Refund my money as soon as possible.
Comida Deliciosa
I order breakfast from this outlet when I stay in Indiranagar during my visit to India. My favourites are ghee masala dosa, idly vada sambar and chow chow bhath. Overall it has always been a good experience.
Sanjay Upadhyay
not good taste. one item was missing. will never order here. tomato delivery was spot on. but food was really bad taste, no one could have it.
Pritiranjan Swain
Affordable price. If you are going to eat there, then try executive meals. Also the paneer Butter masala is also good.Good place for dineout.
Sukrut Gejji
The service is almost always disappointing. Very average food. Nothing great about this place. And oh! It will cheat a regular customer. Place worth skipping.
Tejesh L
Freshly prepared food with good packing..
Food quality n quantity is awesome....ordered manchurian which is too good with less oil and fried rice made of quality rice....
Rajlaxmi Choudhury
Food is good. However I will not at all recommend this place for online delivery because they will not provide you with adequate sambhar and chutney. I have ordered multiple times but find this issue. Even if you call or msg specific instructions, they will not provide adequate sambhar chutney. I have switched to other online options now. Hopefully they will take this feedback and work on there delivery.
Abha
Value for money, easy to eat fresh food. Try the soft idlis, dosas, filter copy. Plain dosas could be avoided. Ideal place to have a quick breakfast with minimum wait time, good and quick service and clean ambiance
Raj Kiran
A good darshini kind of place to get some quick breakfast, lunch or dinner without hitting hard on your wallet. I've tasted the panner chilly, South meals, paper dosa, mughalai biryani and kesari bath for lunch which was really good. For breakfast Idly, vada and mangalore buns were perfect as well with a glass of hot coffee.
Palak Vasa
Disgusting food, untrained and rude staff. Tried various dishes here and was disappointed, surprisingly even in case of South Indian food. Do not dare to try Sandwich or Chaat, you will end up with an upset stomach.
Called for Veg. Cheese Grill Sandwich once. There was neither cheese nor vegetable in it. When I asked the counter - they said 'aisa hi aata hain' I kept the plate there and left.
Will wait for the day when Darshinis like this one start focusing on customer service.
Saravana Devanathan Veeraraghavan Pillai
very worst taste cockroach found in idly no chutney cancel the license called ringing no response
gods grace let the shrinidhi sagar be shut down completely and save the people
Narendra Neturi
Food: tasty and value for money,I'm a regular visitor to this restaurant,. Dosa was awesome and their pulav was good enough

Ambience was not so great but okay

Service was not so responsive, needs alot if improvement in this
Sunitha Pai
This is the only somewhat clean n ok south indian breakfast place on this road. I don't like the next place CE food much so if in this area, and veg south Indian is what you want then enter here. I have had the roti curry and juice for lunch here long back, was just ok. My regular here is Vada Sambhar tea but it's not so consistent, today sambhar was too biting spicy and the Vada a bit sourish, the Sambhar used to be average good earlier, now not. The tea was also not great. The place looks clean thanks to the chirpy yellow white tables, 0.5 is for that.
Nabeel Akram
This is the hygienic self service pure veg restaurant near to indira nagar metro station. While choosing veg breakfast poori masala is my first preference. So i chosen poori , the chutney is good . Try if u looking for descent veg breakfast
Prateek Joshi
A rustic South India food joint in Indranagar. The places is located on a busy road and is usually full. Their Dosa's and filter coffee are really good. Its a good option if you're looking for a quick bite at pocket friendly prices.
Dev Singh
Its an OK place to have South indian food. Dosa and sambhar was a let down but vada was nice and big. As the menu suggest here its cheap on pockets.
Madhu Suden
The food is great here for those all of Kannadigans and those who are used to Udupi type of cooking. Idli Sambar is sumptuous. Poori and Masal is too good. Earlier they were offering 3 of them, now reduced to 2. Every week, in the morning, used to have Idli sambar and you feel so fresh. Tea or Coffee is Rs 10. Worth the visit. There north indian dishes are average, as just 2 gravy bases for any type of gravy you order. Vada is awesome.
Arpan
Basic value for money place. Food is ok, could have been tastier. Service not that great. If you are looking for a quick bite without spending much, you may try this place. But no card machine, so be ready to shell out your precious 100 rupee notes.
Rakesh Kumar
Pathetic biryani ever had in Bangalore. It is not a place for biryani. Actually it's my fault to have it here. What I observed having biryani at traditional hotels like santhi Sagar or all sagars is a bad choice.

May be a try out for tiffins.

They can't afford a hand wash to clean your hands.

Ambience: 3/5
Cleanliness: 3/5
Food: 0/5
Value for mobey: 1/5
Service: 2/5
Shambhulinga Bhat
Worst place to eat.taist looks nice. But u may loose ur throat. Somthing stuck in my throat and i was forced to rush manipal emergency care. U will not be able to reach hotel owner. Employees are bad. Specially one person by name Arun is worst of his own kind. Be aware. Dont go there....
Aswin Segu
Tasty food at affordable prices. But bit crowded and only self service available. Quantity and quality both are adhered. Good place to grab a quick bite
Nandan
A normal quick bite located in domlur... Not much veg restaurants around.. and very few places for having a breakfast... This is one of those... Nothing much to fuss about the taste quality etc... A typical sagar
Raghav Daga
The place is a best alternative for western fast food and has lot of branches across the area. Though the staff is but a rude most the time and take a long time to process the orders this can be a good place for a quick evening snack or a light dinner
Nikhil Jayakumar
This is an awesome place.. We used to getthe best cheese masala dose here... Used to come here particularly for that. But nowadays the taste has changed so much... Still it is a good place...!!!
Keval Parikh
it's a small south indian special place to grab a quick bite or breakfast... dosas are good but the idli and wada aren't as good! there is only self service.
Abdul Raheem
Decent place, a good option for vegetarians. Bit crowded during lunch. They do have various combos. Food is delicious and you have variety of dishes. Pricing is not that high when compared to other veg hotels like Udupi Park, Madhurai Idly. 50₹ for meals. Value for money!

So 10:30 at night, we hunger struck friends bump into this hotel, which looks to be a decent budget restaurant.

Don't be surprised, this is a self service restaurant. The owner/counter guy doesn't really bother or respect you as a customer. His tone is more towards him doing a favor on you. So, you begin with a coupon system where you order at the counter and then submit the coupon personally at the kitchen (obviously!!). We had ordered for a masala papad, jeera rice, daal fry and veg noodles.

To begin the review, masala papad is something I have had at various places, but the weirdest one was at this place. Plus, what we got was stale, is what our taste buds said. Thus the starter was a big shock and we were worried of the rest of the orders coming through. Interestingly, the jeera rice and daal fry was amazing and a little surprising. Surprising because I am used to having peeli daal (yellow daal) with jeera rice. But what we got here was kaali daal. The combination was good though and the food was delicious. Next, the Chinese veg noodles was good too, unlike the extra saucy, spicy, burnt, Indianized ones that normally you find on the street joints. No complaints on noodles either.

The quantity of rice and noodles were a little more than we could take. So we decided to parcel what was left. And guess what! Its a self service restaurant!! So, you buy a 5 rupees coupon per dish from the counter, go to the kitchen and hand over, and collect a plastic box. Then you take your food and make a take a away of your food on your own. May be I am new to this ritual, so pardon me mentioning it here. But if you too are surprised with this, do lemme know.

To summarize:
+ Quick service
+ Tasty food
+ Pocket friendly
- Unhygienic
- Weird self service rules
- Unfriendly atmosphere
- Hand wash area in extremely bad condition
- Kitchen in a mess, tooo many people

No doubt that the place has a menu which can cater to almost anyone, and has lot of options to choose from, but here were alarming things which made me rate this hotel a "1", the additional "1" is only for the pros. I am sure with a little planning, cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance, this place could do a lot better for itself and its customers! #NoHardFeelings :)

Favorite breakfast place.
Favorite snack place.
Favorite easy meal joint.
At times they screw up on the orders and the Que management due to rush, but if this issue be taken care of, there would be even better opportunities to cater to the new coming guests, who prefer to follow the Que.
Anupama Dolekar Shivacharya
Decent food, I have had better masala dias dosas and set dosas in other places. However the evening tea and coffee does of job of refreshing you. Chats are okay, nothing special.
Swati Chaturvedi
This place is like home! Very reasonable and good quality of food!!! Being next to home this is a place we all run to for food! You should try their masala cheese dosa and filter coffee..
Elizabeth Divya Jose
To be quite honest, the food here is actually quite delicious and they also have a variety of items. So its not a one dimensional menu. The prices are cheaper than most other hotels in Bangalore too. However, my biggest concern with this place is the lack of cleanliness and hygiene. There is an unsanitary smell inside the restaurant. Whether its coming from the toilets or from lack of cleaning the dining room I am not sure. Also, as you watch the cooks prepare your meals, you will notice that proper hygiene is not maintained. The dining room is rather cramped and the cleanliness of the tables and hall is not maintained. If you are going into the handwash, its better to go with your eyes closed. It's quite off-putting to eat from a place which isn't kept clean.
Shannon
Been here many times. If you're hungry, and craving to eat something nice which gives you a homely feeling and your pockets are not too heavy, this could definitely be the right place. Tried the south indian meals, the cheese masala dosa, mughlai biryani, chole bhatura. Cheap and best.
Sameera Kamulkar
My favorite darshini in Indiranagar.
Super soft idlis with spicy sambar, hits the right note in the mornings.
Their desi tadka Chinese is great too.
Rajesh Dangi
Its been over decade we have been visiting this Darshini for weekend breakfast. My favorite used to be rasam vade but they discontinued it for few years. Now we relish Idly vade and coffee. Good option for quick snacking and parcel service as takaway...
Cathy Shin
Perfect for quick lunch stop during week days! Pocket friendly and food comes out pretty quick. We got cheese masala dosa (it was todays special) and gobi manchurian. We were the only non-indians so everyone was staring at us.. awkward LOL but we know how to eat our dosas with our hands #proudnonIndian maybe i'm being too high maintenance but i would really appreciate it if they had napkins :)
Shivkumar Birnale
The best on-the-run restaurant in Indira Nagar. Orders addressed very fast. Food quality is good. and very pocket friendly.
I would recommend this hotel. Try the Pongal served on Sundays and the curd rice.

Srinidhi Sagar is one of those vegetarian only "sagar" restaurants that speclialises in warm and fresh south indian food!

I have been to this restaurant several times and have mostly returned satisfied. they earlier had the standing tables (like several other darshini eateries ) and only a few seating tables for families. but they now have overhauled their arrangements and introduced an all-seating arrangement.

i usually like their ghee rice which is very different from the ghee rice we get at empire or imperial. the ghee rice here is filled with vegetables and cashew nuts and tastes more like a punch between pulav and fried rice. i have been here several times and have tasted a wide variety of of things. i like the meal and exec meal too which (i think) are available only during lunch hours.

one of the good things about his restaurant is ---- that they accept sodexo coupon too apart from cash and cards.

one not so good thing is ----------- the area around this restaurant has grown a wee bit rowdy with a bar and an alcohol shop right next door. i find late evenings a little unpleasant around the restaurant.
Randeep Singh
Being close to my PG, i have visited this place quite often during my one month stay in Indiranagar. Its one of the few outlets in the area which offers decent north Indian food without burning a hole in your pocket. For breakfast, they offer mostly south indian and if you are running late for office( i usually did :P ), do try out their idli-vada.
All in all, Healthy. Cheap. Filling.
Nikhil Tibrewal Aka Tibby
No frills darshini fare. Quick service & easy on the pocket.
A special mention for the yummy thick chutney served here. The masala dosa & open dosa are must haves.
Foodiesta
Good food is available here with reasonable rates..
Had here idli.. which was fresh n soft.. n really tasty..
Also had badam shake ... but found it little sweet...
But will surely try here more

Good food available at affordable pricing in indiranagar near to the ESI hospital. This place has been recently renovated and the seating arrangements have been changed. The Chaat corner has been moved inside near the coffee hub to make more space available. The seats and tables have been changed and so is their arrangements.

The place looks fresh and new and so if the food :) The coconut chutney is a brilliant, make sure you ask for extra chutney as its simply irresistible with the crisp vada or benne dosa. The bisibelle bath is a must try which is prepared on alternate days. They do server milk shakes and juices.

The four wheeler parking can get difficult at times and the place gets crowded during the early hours.
Sudeepthi Shiny
#trulysouthindian Reasonable prices, value for money. Best choice for everyday meal or breakfast. Good ambience, self service so you gotta wait for the food in the queue, pain point when you too hungry to grab it..
Fazil Basha S N
Best fast food restaurant for the medium range people and food is also nice..
The dish i like here is roti curry and carrot juice.
I would suggest this restaurant to others.
Ajit Induchudan
As a chennai boy you always crave for your good south Indian vegetarian fare, especially for sunday breakfast. Though nothing can take you as close as home, the sagars and mtr have catered to this need largely.

This was the first place I tried when I moved to Bangalore and have developed a loyalty to their sambar. Love their masala dosa and onion rava; kara bath is good, kesari bath is passable.

This is a self-service restaurant like most srinidhi sagars I have been to. The seating arrangement, though congested, is a lot better than the smaller outlets.

Try it if you are in Indira Nagar and looking for good south Indian fare.

Review update: as much as I love the food here, despise the hygiene. It was not a pleasure sight to watch a cockroach take a happy walk all the way across the restaurant.
Jeet
One of the best South Indian budget friendly breakfast places in indira nagar. Self service, orders are ready within a jiffy. Total paisa vasool place. Best for a Sunday breakfast. Love the filter coffee.
Aneesh Sharma
Ok lets get this straight... Amazing place which doesn't burn a hole in your pocket. The place is pretty clean and way more better than other darshini's in the city. Food is served hot. There isn't much staff as such to interact with since it is a 'self service' type of restaurant. Its advisable to order chat items and south indian food rather than north indian since its what they make the best
Yes i have been visiting it since 2007 and still visit the place every sunday for breakfast and its tummy -upset proof.
Arun Kumar
CHATS ARE REALLY TASTY HERE... DEFIANTLY IN LOVE WIT MASALA DOSA ???? PURE VEG GOOD TO GO DINNE .. AND U GOTTA TRY ROTI CURRY AM SURE YOU WILL LIKE IT..
Anant
Really like the food here. Visited this place umpteen number of times. Not so heavy on the pocket also. Most of the stuff they serve here is good if not amazing.
Palani S Pillai
Srinidhi Sagar

Expect no leisure space or crowd hospitality if you hit here @ noon. A run-away hit for this resturant opened close to a decade back. Recommendations are more for the non-breakfast items from me

North Indian Meals

Roti Curry

Butter Kulcha

Channa Masala

Navratan Kurma

Special Curry
Priyaranjan Das
Not-so-good quality of south indian food.
C
Love their Sambhar! And the butter Masala Dosa! Not the classiest place, but the food is great :)
Sandeep
In the absence of better options, This is the only place. There seems to be some kind of arrogance wroth the staff. Is it because there is no other South Indian eating joint in the vicinity?

Highly Overpriced... discourteous staff... getting less hygienic now...
Mamtha Shekar
WAAAAW what a taste ..... nice VEG Fried Rice we enjoyed a lot.
Harsha Yadlapalli
Kesari Bath, Upma, All Dosas are my Favorite Good place for students
Ali Sadhik Shaik
A paradise for students, employees and job seekers in indiranagar for their daily food needs. Quality and service have not been changed since 2006 and i really appreciate that. Gobi Manchurian and filter coffee makes a best combo in the evening. Masala Dosas are my fav all time!
Sreekar B
I ate there for 2 months and absolutely hated it. I had no other option as there was no other eating joints near my place. Would not recommend.
