Review Hotel Dil Coorg Restaurant - Bengaluru

Is now a delivery/pick-up only eatery with no dine-in option anymore (as against the run down restaurant in Domlur earlier & the decent place on CMH Road Indiranagar). Has a good set of pork, chicken & egg options along with south Indian breads to go with. Pork dry is the go to dish.

One of the places that offer authentic Coorg style Pork. Not very heavy on the stomach, all dishes such as akki roti, chicken gravy, and starters have a home made feel to it. Price being very reasonable, Hotel Dil Coorg is definitely a lunch to be had twice a week.

Their ghee rice pork is to die for, succulent peppery pork with sinful amounts of fat. Ghee rice surprises you with its cardamom and cloves aplenty. It's a shame none of the food delivery apps have this one their roster.

Amazing taste and very reasonable pricing. Anyone looking for the authentic taste of coorg in bangalore must try! Home made style.

Im originally from coorg and i was craving for some delicious coorgi style pork and this is when i stumbled upon this place. I decided to give it a try. The pork fry was amazing and very good quantity for a half plate and its not too costly as well. Decently priced. Although this is not how they make it authentically. So i was a little disappointed

My favourite coorgi restaurant. Reasonably priced to regularly order and the pork is goood. The akki roti was dry. I get Only the pork fry from here.

Had just come back from coorg and craving for some of the wonderful cuisine i had there ( standards had been set by my meals at "coorg cuisine" in madikeri and in the tamara resort). And hotel dil coorg did not disappoint. I had ordered pork dishes and the chicken curry. The meat was really soft and well cooked, flavors were just right and the chicken curry was very smooth and light. Wanted to try the akki roti (rice rotis) but these were not available when i ordered

Ordered pork fry and Rice balls which was in authentic taste of coorg..Ghee rice and chicken curry were a perfect combo..Overall happy with the taste and value for money...🎉🎉

Ghee rice was so sweet with too much of cinnamon smell and the pork fry was so sour I guess it was stale you have to be really careful when ordering with these people.

Too much of oil in pork fry. Need to pour out oil before eating, and a little too sour. Fried rice was decent. Maybe pork pepper dry fry will be better.

Ordered via Zomato Wednesday / Thursday 11 Am to 11 PM promotion 1st week July 2018 promo. <br/>Ordered Ghee Chicken Rice Combo(2) + Chicken Curry Combo - the 3 chicken portions amounted to 6 bite sized pieces. The Ghee rice & phulka were well made. <br/>Expected more than 6 pieces of chicken for 3 portions.

As displayed it was not a gheechicken rice<br/>But it was a ghee rice and the chicken curry ok<br/>

The ghee rice is full of flavour and fragrance. Yet good with the taste.<br/>The chicken curry is too watery with the taste of only spices taking over the whole dish.<br/>Chicken pepper fry was just fine.

Rice quality was good so was dal but I found some tamarind leftovers in the dal for which you have to take care , while squeezing the tamarind water in dal make sure the leftovers does not fall in dal that Gives a bad flavour and completely changes the taste and texture of the dal.

Rice and dal were good but I didn't feel it like Ghee rice it was like Pulao and was sweet I guess because of the cinnamon. won't say the food was excellent because there was a hell lot of difference be yesterday's food and today's food.

Mix review I would say...<br/><br/>1. Chicken was decent but the chilly pork was added too mich colour...you should work on that..taste wise average. <br/>2. Quantity is good according to tge price<br/>3. Packaging was good and delivered before time

I specifically asked less Fat for my 2 Garlic pork orders and was sent exactly the opposite of only Fat and for the quantity they deliver in a quarter box 170 is exorbitant

Ordered through UberEats and was highly disapointed.<br/>The pork curry had a very thick layer of burnt oil. After removing considerable oil top layer, the back oil patches are still visible in pics. Pork pieces were ok but the gravy was big big let down.<br/>The rice given along with pork was eatable.<br/>Overall, a big no to this hotel for delivery.<br/>UberEats can be deceptive sometimes.

I had ordered ghee rice and chicken curry and what got delivered to me was white rice and chilli pork. This is just ridiculous!! Can't believe this.

the chicken curry was kind of edible, but the ghee rice was of pathetic quality, it was cheap quality rice, over cooked and too sticky

Which meant it was delivered on time.<br/><br/>I have ordered from Dil Coorg earlier when they were near Domlur and visited their restaurant when they were in Indiranagar. Was a fan of their Akki otti (rice roti), pork, chicken and vegetarian dishes. <br/><br/>Hence ordered last night. In spite of Koramangala being outside their delivery area, they obliged.<br/><br/>The rice rotis were really nice and thin. The pork fry was really well made with the right amount of spices. The pork dry was the best with tender meat, spicy and loaded with flavors.<br/><br/>Of course the thing about rice rotis is they become soft absorbing moisture when they are packed hot. So a quick toss on a naked flame of the stove is recommended.<br/><br/>So food I would rate 4.5.<br/><br/>Feedback: Being a take away only place, they must ensure to hire the right people for delivery. The one who delivered created a scene at 10.pm that I had to pay him or he will take the food back in spite of me telling him it’s a prepaid order! (Yes the delivery happened late, I wouldn’t complain as it is outside their delivery area) He wouldn’t even lower his voice when I told him that the area was a quiet one and we had senior citizens next door probably sleeping. I had to conference the call between the restaurant folks and this guy until he reluctantly left. Hence the overall experience 3.5.<br/><br/>My view, check if you can do a cash on delivery to avoid the hassle. The food is worth if you fancy Kodava cuisine.
