Review Misu Indiranagar - Bengaluru

Vishal Chokkala
They've got the sushi essentials right and the restaurant feels busy, like in the heart of an asian city. And these are good things. I'd suggest you guys to sit on the sushi bar and have a few samples. I was hoping for more small plates to be on the bar other than just sushis.

New location and new name.. Lucky Chan Good location. Valet parking. Exterior looks more like a night club. Ambience is a bit different. The metallic decor gives it the different look. Music doesn't go with the theme. The seating can be better. Some of the starters were very good. But if you are used to South East Asian Cuisines very well you may find some deficiencies. Overall a satisfactory experience.

We had their chicken steamed wonton chilli dumplings, shrimps classic hakka noodles. Very good ambience and the overall experience was very nice too. Do visit the place when around Indiranagar.

Ambiance - Loved the place, loved the service, loved the food, slightly disturbed about music choices though 😂 but over all its a very great place to have some sushi. Food - Great soups, good sushi, I wished they suggested some authentic food than the cream cheese dumpling one just because its best selling. Though I didn't try any drinks, by seeing the other people I could say their drink menu is also well received. Excited about their sushi conveyer belt service, will visit again soon for that. Located at off 12th Main so parking the car wasn't difficult there, I recommend prior reservation to get good seats though.

A recent find for me and have visited this place twice. The interiors and decor of this place is very well done , kudos to the designer and the owners. The overall look and feel is good. Positives: Menu offers a good range options with a call out of vegan options. Like how they have made it easy for customers to identify the various dishes and clean , uncluttered layout of the menu. Food is yummy with decent sized portions and to top it off a friendly staff. I'm in love with their serving dishes minimalistic design, just the way I love it. Try the tofu, green papaya salad and their dimsum are delicate and yumm, my mouth waters as I type this review. Beer cocktails are good. Negatives: parking considering it's a main road can be tough at times. Service can improve in terms of speed.

Too noisy, different pics on different platforms but amazing fooood.

It is the same as Lucky Chan (we were a bit confused). We just let the waiter decide our order based on best-selling dishes at their place & that was an amazing decision we took. Enjoyed fresh cream cheese sushi , bobba tea, & beef stir fry ,etc. They have special meals on conveyer belt over the weekend, & would love to try that next time.

My absolute go to place when it comes to Chinese! They are just brilliant with their varieties and the consistency with which they deliver food. Happened to try their dynamite shrimps today along with my all time favourite mamak mee goreng chicken. Trust me I never had such amazing shrimps. If you’re someone who loves the sweet and spicy side of dishes you are in a for an absolute treat with this dish
.it’s crispy on the outside and so tender and juicy on the inside
.it was one of the best starters I ever had for my whiskey! Must try!!

This particular Misu had newly opened and me and a few friends were very eager to try it out. Went there a little late at around 1030. Ended up having the crab and prawn Maki. Was really good. The wine based cocktails were alright. Was expecting better. The restaurant shuts pretty early at around 11 so don't make the same mistake we did by going in late.

We went a bit early so missed the conveyor belt sushi.... But thats a good enough reason for a second visit. Between 3 of us we ordered the salmon nigiri ( they didnt have any of the tuna, avocado which is a pity). Also ordered the vegatarian sushi. The lotus something bubble tea ( not my fav wont order it again). Ans lastly the ramen. The ramen filled my anime/ manga/ kdrama soul to the brim!

Really had a very good Asian food after long time with excellent ambiance, do visit it.

Nice place to visit for Pan Asian cuisine. A few hits and a few misses in terms of the food. Ambience is decent and not a very fancy one. Tried the following: 1. Green Mango Salad - Delicious 2. Som Tam Salad - Perfect 3. Thai Style Tofu Satay - Cooked to perfection and a delicious eat 4. Veg Steamed Wonton Chilli Dumplings - It was not at all to my liking. Too much of Schezwan Chilli Sauce actually spoilt the dish 5. Spicy Tofu Avocado Maki - Loved this to bits ; great flavour and presentation was excellent 6. Thai Wok Fried Rice - Appetising 7. Veg Hakka Noodles - It was nice 8. Veg Khow Suey - Very disappointing ; looked pathetic and watery which is not the consistency and tasted bad too 9. A Tofu gravy - Forgot the name but again I could only taste the soy sauce ; It was bad The desserts more than make up for some of the misses above. The desserts are awesome and leave you craving for more. Don't forget to try the Matcha Green Tea Garden and Banana Mousse with Nutella. Service is good.

Misu is definitely a place which strikes to most of our minds when it comes to Pan-asian places. This place has been sitting in my brain from quite a long and finally got some time to pay a visit. Now Misu has opened it's door to serve the folks of Indiranagar as it's second branch in the city. I was there with a cluster of food admirers to indulge in their pan-asian delicacies. My recent visit to Misu was quite delightful. Would you like to know more about it? Take a look at the dishes I delished there 👉Som tum salad : The richness of shredded papaya and carrot with peanuts is truly a bliss. Mild sweet taste of papaya and honey dressing brought a pleasant flavour to the dish. 👉 Raw mango salad : Fine pieces of raw green mango was served with cherry tomatoes and traces of onions. The tomato and mango has got a tangy taste. This is a must try. 👉 Thai style tofu satay : Fresh and tender tofu is fried to golden perfection with pieces of capsicum. This dish is accompanied by peanut sauce. The taste of tofu with slightly spicy peanut sauce is utterly delicious. 👉Know suey : Plain noodles are accompanied by coconut gravy, cubes to egg white, soya sauce, dried ginger, peanuts and minced pieces of onion and coriander. The gravy is moderately thick in consistency and less spicy. Once you mix the toppings, this dish has an equilibrium to flavours. The coconuty flavour of gravy and ginger tasted great. 👉Kung pao chicken : Fresh and tender pieces of chicken are fried to golden perfection with adequate amount of pepper and spices. One of the best starters to initiate your meal with. 👉Japanese soufflĂ© cheesecake : This jiggly and fluffy cheesecake is a show stopper! You could sense the taste of fresh cheese and a sweet syrup layered on its top. 👉Matcha greentea Garden : The lemon grass ice cream served in the plate was absolutely fresh and refreshing. Greentea flavoured chocolate mousse was good, but it could be better. Undoubtedly, you can mark misu as one among the authentic pan-asian restaurants in Bengaluru. Do explore this place at your leisure.

I am a big fan of asian food and this place was on my list since a long time. When we went it was crowded and there was a waiting time. Thought the wait was worth it. We ordered chicken miso ramen, blushing Geisha i.e. Promegranate juice and tender coconut with thyme water. We also ordered California maki. I loved the flavour there. Everything was to the point and we loved it. Drinks were refreshing.

I am a huge fan of Misu, St.Marks Road. So when a new branch closer to home at Indiranagar opened I was estatic. But on visiting the place realised it is a sad version of the one on St.Mark branch. To start with this branch they don't serve cocktails and that is one of my favourite things about the St.Marks branch. Those fabulous signature cocktails especially the Earl Grey Tea. Secondly, l was surprised with the slow service considering that there were only four tables including ours which had customer. To start with ordered the Har Gao which is my favourite but here the water residue was so much that the dumplings coating had become soggy and was breaking off. For mains we went with Red Snapper with Thai Basil sauce and a burnt garlic fried rice. The fish was dry and the sauce was sadly portioned way too less. So we ended with most of the fish having being just a fried part without any sauce. Overall, these folks can most definitely do better as they have the base in a great place like Misu, St.Marks.

Hey Zomato!! I don't know why you deleted my earlier review on this even though the Misu team tried to reach out to me for a resolution....NOT COOL... I found a cockroach in my VEG soup from Misu ... Never ever ordering again

What I loved most here was the mango sticky rice. The mango was fresh and went well with the coconut milk flavoured rice. The ramen bowl that my friend ate also was very filling. Edamame was a good healthy snack as appetiser.

Amazing food and quite peaceful place.

4.5 rating. Had the ninja lunch. Sushi fell a bit short due to poorly made rice packed too tightly. Most things were quite good.

A long overdue visit, after countless mixed reviews I had to make a visit and decide for myself.
Ordered a portion of Sushi (California Maki), Bao and Yaki Shoba.

I was very disappointed with the Sushi, the rice was mash and I thought the use of pomegranate as a garnish was pointless and messed with the flavours.

The Bao was confusing, to be honest, they were the size of dumplings. It tasted good, not something that blew my mind but I cannot complain.

The Yaki Shoba was top notch in my opinion, this dish definitely left me wanting more.

The waiting staff was courteous, pleasant and very helpful.

The ambience, not to my taste, but I most definitely enjoyed the music that was playing (deep house).

Overall it was a mediocre experience, I didn't walk out of the place feeling too pleased with the experience.

This was a long due visit to Misu. Had ordered Beer cocktail, didn't like it much.
For food we ordered dumdum, Red snapper, noodles and deserts.
Food was tasty but the fish quality was very less.
Ambience is nice but little congested.

Food 4
Ambience 4
Service 4
Value for money 4.

They have valet parking service.

While the service was good, the food itself I didn’t like very much and I was so looking forward to having some Asian food.
I was really disappointed.
The first was the Tom Yum soup which I was looking forward to, nothing too great. In fact I loved their on the table, pickles more than the soup I paid for.
The next was the wantons. Not bad but you could see that one or two could have used a bit more steaming because the bottom layers were thicker and chewier(while I don’t expect perfection, I expected better)
The Chicken Satay, while my friends said it was good, I got it undercooked. You could see that before even biting into it. The ends of each stick were a bit under and mine was very much pink.
We had the cheesecake as well (We weren’t that full but the chicken sort of put me off for a while)
Again, not ‘Soufflé’ cheesecake. It was neither a good baked regular cheesecake nor was it ‘Soufflé’. It was sort of somewhere just dense and not that great in end.
Even for that matter the compote was definitely not fresh(atleast I don’t think so)

While the waiter apologized and the service was actually good, the food itself was pretty disappointing and has put my craving for Asian food off for a while.

1. Boo Chou and mushroom rainbow momos: in terms of flavour it was not that great. I wish there were more mushrooms!
2. Thai noodle bowl with vegetables: It was just mediocre. The only vegetables that were there were capsicums. In terms of flovour, it was too heavy on cream(coconut I am guessing)

Did not enjoy my meal very much:(

Great service by Arpan and Hito . Lovely food . Loved the soup dumpling and Hakka noodles . friendly waiters .

Didn’t like the food

The non veg meal was awesome. It covered spicy chicken, noodles and shusi were yummy. The chili oil they provide add great flavour. Dessert ordered separately: I love their Singapore sandwich. The food, flavour, and ambiance is something to go for. I want to go their again.

I found the menu quite innovative with dishes not seen very commonly. I also liked the fact that there were quite a few vegan options marked as such. However the chef needs to be more accommodating in preparing some dishes in a customised way if the customer asks. That is something expected from top restaurants. However the manager and steward were friendly and helpful and we ultimately got vegan Thai Green Curry and Khao Suey (which were marked vegetarian but can easily be made vegan) after pressing the chef twice. The place is a bit small and sitting can be made more comfortable. I would give a 5 star for taste but portion size was very less given the price.
Megha Garg-IBM
Ambience is good but needs lot of work on curries way to salty . Xio long bao was average and Tom yum soup tastes like tomato soup. Staff was courteous and polite but currently food lacks authenticity
Ritika Kalra
We ordered dragon maki and spicy tuna maki! Both were too good and amazing! The Mamasa curry was amazing too. Do try their beer cocktails as well.

I’m really happy with food what I eat , service was nice

Visited on a Friday afternoon lunch with colleagues. Tom Yum soup was sweeter than required & dimsums didn’t taste nice. They only thing I might visit again for would be their mushroom chestnut golden bags - those were simply delicious. Noodles were just about okay.
Anuhya Trushna
Misu doesn’t provide what it promises. I went to indulge myself in some Pan-Asian Food but I was throughly disappointed by the food. The sushi rice was so disintegrated - I was picking up the sushi with chopsticks as delicately as possibly because it was gonna fall apart before it reached my mouth. Additionally, the wasabi wasn’t fresh. The steamed boa arrived at best in lukewarm temperature and as we finished one them, the other one was left cold and we couldn’t eat it. The chicken in boa was alright, felt like it was lacking flavour. For main course, we ordered chicken rice which was under the ‘rice bowls’ menu but the presentation completely threw me off - it came in a rectangular plate with badly
Cut cucumber and tomato, bowl shaped rice and four pieces of chicken next to it. It looked nothing like what one would
Serve at Pan-Asian Restaurant. The rice however was delicious, it has delicate and rich taste and so was the soup accompanied by it.

With highly competitive Pan-Asian cuisine in bangalore, Misu has to seriously up their game.
Amit Verma
Great ambiance. Awesome food. Ashish was very courteous and serviced us with a smile.
Komala Kanamarlapudi
Went to misu after considering a lot of options to spend a friend's birthday party. And man we made the right choice. So I am not a big fan of pan Asian cuisine but misu food definitely changed my opinion. I loved their variety of dishes offered in both veg and non veg sections and there is something for everybody. The menu was thankfully not very generic but had it's own unique elements with each dish.

We started off with tofu with Thai satay, by far the best satay I have had ever. Then we went on to order the rainbow dumplings, Vietnamese golden bags, miso glazed tofu. Each and every appetizer was exceptional and tasted so authentic. Our main course was Burmese noodles Khao suey which again was fantastic, the broth was so aromatic and flavorful we ended up drinking the broth just like that without any noodles at one point. Misu portion sizes are quite small so one person could eat an entire plate of appetizer or main course. Because the portion sizes were smaller we could order a lot of different things for the table.

The non veg section was equally good (based on my friends comments) they had the chicken dumplings, Kung Pao chicken and the Thai green curry with chicken. They loved everything and the plates were wiped clean.

Coming to the desserts, we heard a lot about the matcha platter so ordered that it was just okay. The Japanese souffle cheesecake was amazing though, warm and squishy.

If I have to point out some tiny flaws it would be the drinks selection which was limited only to beer, or beer cocktails. And the service could have been a tad better.

All in all a good meal and will definitely visit again.
Sushma Vemuri
I have been a frequent visitor and fan of their branch at St Marks Road and i must say i definitely love their food. Their dimsums are a must try and also their desserts are a definite no miss!

MISU has a great ambiance with some great food. Service is courteous, without being intrusive. Mr. Peter took good care of us and suggested to try out some of their Specialities. Staff know their menu well.

Nice place to try Japanese cuisine. Maki roll was amazing. Overall food was great, we tried rainbow dumplings, satay, sashimi, tea and pumpkin dessert. Great ambience, the staff is extremely courteous and a special mention to our server Peter who was pleasant and efficient. We also got a complimentay dessert lemongrass ice cream which was quite different and refreshing. Will visit again. â˜ș
