Review Arirang Korean Restaurant - Bengaluru

Ayush Bhosle
One of the best Authentic Korean Restaurants you'll find in Bengaluru. They have a table as well as a floor sitting option, Floor sitting is however 4 tables only hence advice to reserve in advance. They have plenty of dishes on their menu. Some of them have portion size options as well, Small or Medium. I tried their Bulgogi, which was very good, and I will surely recommend this. The small portion size here also has a good quantity which may not be suitable for solos. The price however felt on the higher side. Bonus: there's a Korean shop right below where you'll find various good and beverage products.

The restaurant boasts some of the best Korean authentic food I have ever tasted. Each dish served was a masterpiece, bursting with flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Korea. The attention to authenticity was truly remarkable. From the perfectly grilled meats to the flavorful side dishes, every bite was a celebration of Korean culinary expertise. The balance of spices and seasonings in each dish showcased the chef's mastery, creating a harmonious symphony of tastes that delighted my taste buds. Moreover, the presentation of the dishes was a feast for the eyes. The meticulous arrangement and vibrant colors of the food added to the overall dining pleasure. It was evident that the chefs took great pride in their craft, ensuring that not only the taste but also the visual appeal of the dishes was top-notch. The restaurant's commitment to authenticity, combined with the warm and welcoming ambiance, made the dining experience truly exceptional. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of the meal was enjoyable. In summary, if you are a fan of Korean cuisine or someone looking to explore the authentic flavors of Korea, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The dedication to serving genuine Korean dishes sets it apart, making it a culinary gem for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining adventure. I left the restaurant thoroughly impressed and satisfied, eagerly anticipating my next visit to savor more of their delightful offerings.

Arirang is by far the best for Korean food for me in Banglore. Loved the service. The place has a few rooms, inside floor seating and tables as well. I especially loved the cold buckwheat noodles.

Staff were kind weird, in their own world of sorts, but the food was exemplary in every sense, obviously there wasn't any comparison for a first timer for me, but it wont leave you wondering if or not you should have it. Its neat and tidy to look and doesnt make it un-appetizing in any sense or make you not want to try it. May be a good place to start korean cuisine with. I dont remember most of the names, lol, but the fried chicken we had gave me a different kind of spicy, a very good kind of spicy. Would recommend 100. Everything else, nothing to be disappointed about. Would revisit and recommend 💯💯

We had one of the best korean food in Banglore. We had chicken mandu which was extremely tasty. Steamed egg whi was good but could have been better if veggies were included. Ttokbokgi was the authentic with fish and rice cakes with kimchi. The quantity was great and 1 plate was enough for 3 people. We also had chicken barbaque which was star of the show. It was so delicious that i crave for it everyday.

The restaurant has a great ambience. The barbecue is great. The side dishes are tasty. We even get soju and makolli here. Great experience.

Make sure you really have time to relish the food served here... Their menu is elaborate and quite self explanatory.. however the ppl here r available to explain the dish if asked. The food takes a bit longer to come but trust me the wait is worth it. Food is amazingly yummy and has a sufficient portion size.

Went on a weekend....I could get the Korean vibe as m a huge fan of k-pop. Had gimbap, chicken mandu(momo), fried chicken, toebokki. Best part was they had a pic n a description of each n every dish. Food was delicious and the portion size was too much for 2 people. Little on higher price but didn't mind spending on authentic yummy Korean food.

Cute cozy place with Korean music and food. Staff is too jolly.

If you love Korean food then this is the place to go. The ambience of the restaurant is good. We had Chicken Gimbap and Dumplings along with side dishes enough for two people. Food tastes good and side dishes as well.

Spicy stir fried chicken sizzlers with noodles- Nice tangy a bit sweet and right amount of spicy dish with chicken and perfectly cooked vegies. The noodle was just amazing so thin and soft and just yummy. This is a safety dish probably that mostly everyone will like it. Gun jajangmyum- Have seen it in many kdramas wanted to try and mix the sause with noodle. The noodle was thinker than the other dish. It was nice but not for my taste. One thing to make note only the sauses are hot the noodles are not so try to mix it and eat it quickly so that you can enjoy till last. Soju: Wanted to try it for so long and its 800rs and would recommend to try it atleast once just for the experience. Nice ambiance and good service.

One of the best and affordable option for authentic Korean cuisine. Good service and food. The Ambience can be improved though.

Go to this place if you are craving for some delicious authentic Korean food... The place is run by this charming Korean lady...unfortunately dint catch her name... This was our first experience with a Korean barbeque...so she was kind enough to grill the food for us and explain how it's to be eaten...The food itself was just delicious... Even the seating area and decor were very Korean... The place could use a refurbishment, however this didn't take any thing away from the dining experience... Would be visiting again soon .

Read about this place online while looking for Korean grocery stores in the city. That's right. There's a Korean grocery store in Bangalore. I had been craving kimchi for a few days, so I was looking for places to buy it fresh. Of course, with the partial lockdown going on, I decided to wait for a special occasion.

Yesterday was my birthday, so I decided to enjoy a spicy Korean meal at Arirang. The location was easy to find on Google Maps. It's on Kamanahalli main road, right opposite Anand Sweets.

The store on the ground floor has a lot of Korean goodies on sale. Some of the items are imported so they are pricey.

The restaurant on the first floor has floor seating as well as tables and chairs. It was quite empty, considering the situation.

I took some time going through the menu because there are many Korean dishes on offer. I settled on trying "Jjamjja myun," which is a combo of "Jjajangmyun" and "Jjambbong with noodles." I also ordered a cup of Korean green tea.

I was first served some traditional Korean appetizers, which I love. The pork fry and salad tasted the best. I did not have to wait long for my food to arrive.

The Jjambbong was interesting because it had a small octopus, prawns, and clams in it. The Jjajangmyun had a good flavor, but there were only a few pieces of pork in the thick sauce.

It was a large serving, so I was quite full after slurping down all the noodles and soup. The bill came to Rs. 871, including GST.

Worth checking out if you like Korean food.

Me and my friend went here and ordered glass noodles and seaweed roll and there were few side dishes too. They took a very good 45min to bring the order and when it finally arrived the noodles were extremely cold and sticky and tasteless we could hardly had a bite and the kimchi was tasteless too. It's very expensive not worth the money. Such a disappointing experience. We were still hungry so went to another restaurant. Not going again to this place.

The place is small and hard to find unless you already know about it. Visited on a weekend just to try out some korean food.
Every item on the menu is on the expensive side so was hesitant at first. We ordered tteokbokki and some barbeque pork. They allow you to cook your own meat and add toppings as you want. The tteokbokki is also heated on a stove right infront of you. Would recommend you try the tteokbokki +1. Quantity is enough to be shared by 3 people.
Food: 10/10
Ambience: 6/10
Value for money: 6/10

But giving it 5 stars since good food is what i came for.👍

I tried the fermented soy and tofu dish. It was alright. My partner tried the seafood bowl. It was ok. The place has a basic ambience. The staff are courteous and friendly.
Not worth the money & time.

Friendly staff. The place is unique and for me it's the best place (coz it actually showed me that korean vibe and I really love Korea). Awesome and cool place to ever hangout with friends and try some new cusuine.

My first Korean restaurant experience... the food was tasty and loved their seating arrangements .
There is no much vegetarian options and I felt the prices are slightly overpriced.
The service is prompt... I wish they had a dessert menu.

Cute Space and Good service. The dishes seemed to be priced slightly on the higher side compared to other Korean restaurants I have been to. The food was good, the ambience was shabby and the seating, very uncomfortable. I think a more pristine, and cosy vibe will complement the customer experience better and feel more inviting.
Sanjay Rajiv
Amazing experience. Good food. Polite and helpful service. Expected rice wine to be a lot stronger though. It is a little expensive but worth the xp. Thanks arirang. Expect I'll be back soon
So this was my first visit to a korean restaurant in Bangalore. Since my sister is a big kpop fan, she wanted to taste some authentic korean food. After a lot of research and reading reviews we finalized this restaurant.
After entering the restaurant, it gave a feel of a korean house with typical floor sitting and seperate rooms for a group. There were a few babecue tables and we chose one of them.

The dishes we tried were the pork barbecue, korean style stir fried chicken and chicken sizzler.

Starting with the chicken stir fry, it was sweet with a very tangy and spicy twist. Perfectly coated with sauce and cooked well.

The chicken sizzler was accompanied with noodles and veggies. It had a different but delicious taste.

The main course had pork which was barbecued on the table. It was accompanied with various side dishes which included kimchi, tofu, etc.

This was a complete korean meal with a lovely taste. A memorable experience. The staff are very courteous with fast service.
Would love to visit again.
I felt different for the first time in my life that I’m eating a different food . The food is very authentic here as I see many Koreans and north east faces all around . I had eaten BIBIMBAP here which is great at taste . I loved the side dishes as well which is quite common except the potato with fish. The ambience of the restaurant is very good , felt like I entered an old Korean place . Service is also good along . All the items are priced high which should be reduced . Otherwise is very well recommended.

I wanted to eat jajangmyun so I ordered jajangmyun,it was not tasty I was disappointed ,but the side dishes were tasty .The employees greeted me with a smile ,their customer service was good.

Loved the place. The food was really good. We ordered pork gimbap, mandu, bibimbap, doenjang jigae, jajjangmyeon. Everything was amazing. The place had such an authentic feel to it and the servers were very friendly too. Loved the place. Can't way to go back and try more dishes. Thank you for such an amazing experience Arirang😍

This pork belly was to be roasted in the electronic BBQ then dipped in salt and samjang and to be eaten. I wrapped it in the lettuce leaf and added all the possible sides that was on the table. It was an awesome experience here. We had jijamjja myun which came in two halves of a bowl. I liked the soupy side whereas I was not so fond of the black noodles. The service and the ambiance is awesome here. If you need to call a waiter from your cabin there's a button you need to press and they are there

We have been planning for a long while to visit this restaurant and we finally did. It did not disappoint the food and the ambiance was amazing. We wanted to try soju but it was not available and that was a bummer. But over all it was good experience, a little expensive but worth it.

I tried Korean food for the first time at this restaurant. What stood out for me was the traditional decor, good food and great service. I love the Korean palette!
Shikhar Aich
Good place and highly recommended . You’ll have the Korean feeling for sure. Seiza sitting style and much comfortable. And each table has a microphone attached to call the waiters.
Food: 4.5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Service: 3.5/5

Best pork bone soup in town... Our family love it 😋👍 .... Authentic Korean food ... Food is great , but more emphasis should be given on cleanliness .

Pork bbq was great but slightly overpriced. Tried beef bibimbap which tasted really good. Polite staff and nice traditional ambience. Side dishes were great too 👍👍
Will surely visit again.

Arirang is just one of the many restaurants set up to cater to the needs of a growing Korean student base in Bangalore, and it's easy to see why they're so popular.

Set across two floors in a blink-and-you-miss building lining Kamanahalli's main road, Arirang's lower level has a grocery store selling a limited number of Korean snacks and pantry essentials while the upper floor is dedicated to the actual restaurant.

Our lazy lunch at this spot had me clamouring for another visit, and the details of our meal can be found in the link below!

Arirang is the third of my list Korean restaurants. I finally learnt to use chopsticks effectively but still need to master. Would request the staff to leave forks in the cutlery for first timers.
Staff here is responsive as your table would have a button to call for service. I liked this as it avoids the constant turning and twisting of one's neck to seek attention.
Ambience is modest, cafe like for a college crowd. Although they do have a separate room for larger crowds and chairs with no legs. I was intrigued to sit on these but did not do my pre stretches. The tables have an inbuilt BBQ grill.
Coming to the cuisine. I'm still exploring Korean, but I felt both the dishes were heavy on the oil. Maybe that's the jus they way it is. We ordered jajangmyeon and japchae. Japchae is glass noodles, has a nice spring to it. Filled with capsicum mush rooms. And I took the beef option, which was cooked well. The dry beef compliments the oily noodles.
Jajangmyeon is Darth vader's favorite Korean dish. It's dark as death due to black bean sauce sauce. Combined with fat noodles and fried onions.pork based dish.
Would've liked it of they offered wine by the glass rather than the bottle.
The food is filling, no denying that. Also gimbap is upto the mark.

As soon as I entered, I felt like I was transported to an authentic korean drama setting. There are a lot of plus points to not being familiar to Korean culture, you get introduced to a lot more cultural aspects than you would have expected.

The place is a little expensive for an indian pocket but i guess compared to other places in bangalore, its pretty affordable. You can choose to sit in a floor style korean setting or a proper table.

You can experience the authentic korean bbq style. I have been here twice and the experience both times have been great. The korean bbq is definitely worth the money.

The appetizers are different everyday. And serve the purpose of tickling your taste buds before your food. Mostly consists of six different types:
2 salads, kimchi, sweet, sweet pickled chilli, spicy pickled radish i think.

I tried the pork belly bbq and octopus sizzler that comes with the red bean paste.

This place is homely and everytime u visit you leave with a new found understanding of jorean food. A must try!!!
I always wanted to try authentic Korean food as I love Korean culture. Luckily found a Korean restaurant near my house. Ordered doenjang jjigae and octopus bibimbap. Also the famous Korean drink soju. The food was very tasty. Loved the experience and would like to try again some different dishes.

Korean cuisine? Never had it, never seen it, not even as a documentary on Youtube.

This difficult-to-find restaurant in Kamanahalli was going to be an adventure and I had my fingers crossed.
Don't get me wrong, I did check one thing before arriving and that is to find the rating on Zomato (of course!). But I wanted the rest of it to be a surprise. And I was very pleasantly surprised throughout.

The seating setup varies on how traditional you want your experience to be. There is the usual table-chair seating right up front and the floor seating arrangement which we chose and also recommend. The decor matches the traditional seating setup with wooden screens between tables and paintings on the walls around.

Having visited the restaurant on a weekday afternoon meant less foot traffic and consequently very prompt service. The staff were courteous throughout and especially patient while explaining some of the dishes to us. We ordered chicken dumplings (Mandu), Jjambong with noodles and an octopus bibimbap. Before all of this, we were served with an assortment of accompaniments which I now understand is quite common in Korean food culture. You may not dig all of it, but you most certainly find something among them that excites your taste buds.

The main course was amazing to look at and downright delicious to eat. The seafood served in the dishes were all fresh to the taste, cooked well and presented beautifully. The sweet and spicy octopus sauce in the bibimbap was only topped by the delicious broth served with the noodles. Even the dumplings which fair to say were the most familiar thing we found on the menu was unlike anything I’ve had before. The thin and crispy texture of the outer covering is something you need to experience to understand the difference.

For the price that we paid, I think this restaurant is worth the visit. What will bring you back is the amazing and unique food and dining experience that not many other places can offer.

Korean cuisine? I’ve had some. I’ve seen em. Even watched a documentary about it since. And I LOVE IT.

My rating:
Food - 5.0/5.0
Service - 5.0/5.0
Ambience - 4.6/5.0
Value for money - 4.7/5.0

On a friend's suggestion, I went to try out some Korean food in this restaurant in Kammanahalli. Initially, it might be a little difficult to find the restaurant located inside a narrow lane. This place is a hidden gem. This place is owned by a Korean and they have both Traditional Korean Style seating as well as the normal seating arrangement. I tried their Pork Gimbap and Beef Bibimbap. The Gimbap(Korean take on sushi) was pretty good and the Bimibap was absolutely brilliant. The Bibimbap was served on a hot stone pot with vegetables, beef and topped with a fried egg. It was served with sesame oil and a special bibimbap sauce which had a sweet and spicy taste. Also, they served a lot of accompaniments before the meal, which is a common thing for all Korean restaurants. The Tofu and the Kimchi were wonderful. Korean Barley Tea or Boricha is also served complimentary along with the meal.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone willing to try out some authentic Korean food.

Visited Arirang yesterday and needless to say the experience was impeccable. Very friendly and polite staff. The ambience was quite homely, comfortable and cozy. The food was satisfactory however the Octopus sizzler was overcooked and very chewy, almost inedible. That was the only con, overall quite happy with the service.
Ayan Bandyopadhyay
It is like a mini Korea in Bangalore. The place is not too big but somehow it gives us a vibe of authenticity. You will get some exotic Korean dish here, but go after some research or else you may choose wrongly. The staff are very humble. And the low sound of K-pop music in the background makes you feel like a localite of Korea sitting in a local restaurant in your backyard.

Decent Korean food.

The waiter barely spoke English or Hindi and struggled to explain anything on the menu. Ended up ordering food that I did t enjoy.

They don’t have any drinks besides Soda.
Chingkame Marak
The ambience was good.It felt homely & comfortable.
Beef bibimbap was good. And pork bbq tasted good. But i’d rate gimbap 5/10. The noodles my friend ordered was served with cold ice, beef, egg (Mul-naengmyun). They should’ve atleast mentioned that it’s served with thick ice cold soup.Definitely that was a total waste. We didn’t like it at all. Price is pricey.😆 Service was good though. He was very kind. 😊 Overall i’d rate 7/10.

Authentic Korean experience! From the moment you step into the restaurant , you feel like you have landed in Korea. The ambience, decor and customers make you forget you are in bangalore. The food is super authentic Korean. They have not “indianized” it in any way. The flavours are spot on! Unfortunately the prices are exorbitant, and the staff and service can be much much much better. Still - a must try.
Always Review When It Suck
tasty is not bad but not great. price is really really bad. u can enjoy authentic korean food but price is crazy. also food portions are not enough. maybe here for rich korea business man. also they never try to localized. it is super suck.

To be frank this was the first time I ever been to a Korean restaurant. They look so authentic. The ambiance the table the menu really took me to Korea. The food tasting amazing. The chicken were fried ok point, crisp on the outside soft on the inside. We had a beef intestine stew which to be honest I did not like. My Korean friend did mention was the best in Bangalore. For the first timers like ask the waiter on what type of meat you are getting and the rest you will not need to worry about. The only drawback is finding the place.
Hiyaa Saraswat
Ordered Doenjang jjigae. Have had better. :( Had high expectations. :( Didn't have the ingredients I expected. And had cucumber in it. I like the taste of soybean but this just didn't go well because of vegetables added in it. :/

This is the second time that I've been to arirang and I'm truly disappointed by the service provided by the staff. Me and my friend had booked a table on zomato, but upon arriving we were given some poor seats in the corner despite other tables being free. After telling them that we had reservations, one of the staff begrudgingly agreed to give us a better seat. We were not even given the complimentary corn drink and were told that it was over. We had ordered bibimpap, Soju and pork BBQ, and seasonal fried chicken, one of my favourite dishes in arirang. Half an hour later, the staff comes over and tell us that the fried chicken was over. The lettuce served with the pork BBQ were old and brown. Most of their side dishes were also over and not stocked. Service was very bad and we needed to call them often to get our dishes or even ask for glasses for water. Even the customers seated on the table next to us were complaining and unhappy with the service. This was the first time that my friend visited arirang and she was not very happy about the overall experience.

4.5.
Visited arirang today and we had such a wonderful time here.
We started off by ordering the dumplings along with pork gimbap.
The dumplings had a crispy yet soft exterior and the filling was absolutely delicious! 4/5. The gimbap was so so so good, must try, 5/5.
We also ordered the octopus bibimbap and the beef bibimbap, the octopus came with gochujang and although it tasted great, the octopus itself wasn't delicious, also was too tough to eat, 3/5. The beef bibimbap was the star of today and the beef was cooked to perfection with perfect flavour. Must try 5/5. The service also is amazing here. Very courteous staff.
Food: 4.5/5
Ambience 3.5/5
Service : 4.5/5
Value for money : 4.5/5

Being a big fan of korean cuisine, I have visited the restaurant several times before finally here for a review all I can say is good food, good service and good ambience 💛
Mimi Dihingia
I have been here only once. The food and ambience was good. The staff were also friendly. There were a lot of options in the menu to choose from. There are definitely better Korean restaurants in Bangalore, but this place has it's own charm and the food is also reasonably priced.

Crazy Broke Asian
Bibimbap here is top notch and a must try. Their collection of banchan (korean for side dishes) is also very delicious. Its a bit expensive if you order soju (korean rice beer) as its imported from Korea.
Overall great place for korean food 👌🏼
Pramit Karmakar
Small Korean restaurant in kalyannagar. I never tried Korean dishes before so went there for experiment. Ordered Korean fired chicken, mamdu, chicken barbecue and last but not in the list Soju. We took mild seasoned fried chicken which was kind of sweet side, mandu is like dumplings but I didn't liked them. Soju is a Korean wine and I liked it. If you love to experiment with food and explore different cuisines then you can give a visit.

If you don't know what Korean food is like, maybe this is not the place to start with. We got little help from the waiter who attended to us, though he was not unhelpful and served with a smile. We were advised to have Napa Wraps with Pork, Kimchi Stew and jjajangmyun. We took a bottle of Soju between the three of us. Food was a new experience and we liked what we ate.

The restaurant has both table seating and traditional seating on floor at low tables. If you have an issue with sitting on the floor, please book in advance.

Experience korean cusine here. I have loved the food everytime I eat here. The side dishes with the mains. Prompt service and you all can try out soju as well 😉.

My experience here was pretty good 🤸‍♂️cos it was my first time and also because I had nothing else to compare the experience with 🧘‍♀️.

I’d been looking for a good Korean restaurant 🍽and this happened to be the closest one. I came here with a couple of my friends 👭👫.

We ordered the fried chicken 🍗, the pork hocks 🥩, the jajjangmyeaon (black bean noodles) 🍜, the gimbap 🍣, the mandu 🥟, and the soju bottle 🍶. And boy, had we known how much food we’d get 🤯 !! It was a lot!! 🤭 The gimbap was yummy 🤤, the mandu, fried chicken, and the jajjangmyeon were okay 👌. The pork hocks dish was very tasty 🤤. Loved it! And soju - me likey 🤩 (even while everything was expensive 😢)

The waiter didn’t really know what we were ordering (so I’m hoping 🤓 they invest in good waiters). The seating area is also varied - if you want to sit on a chair, authentic Korean style or a closed group room - 👌. The ambience is simple and nothing too fancy which is good. Omg! The food quantity and the price - be warned 😭 🤫

All in all a very good experience for me. 🤓 Please go try Korean food, it’s yummy 🤤

A humble little space with some really good Korean cuisine. The pork is succulent and cooked beautiful. The barbecue are quite expensive but it is definitely worth it. Kumpao, if I’ve spelt it right tasted really really good. It’s not a place where you seek for fancy ambience although they make you sit on a low table like how Koreans dine. Fine food with an expensive bill 😅.

Delicious Korean Barbecue!
This place is a must visit and a statement to Bangalores large multicultural diversity. Authentic Korean food. Definitely will be back.

The food was brilliant! The sangyeopsal is good and the spicy cold noodles was also yummy! do give this place a try for good Korean food n bbq!!

A new experience. It was delightful. Got to taste some beautiful sushi. It was so delicious, worth every penny spend. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Radhika Mathur
So far the most authentic Korean food that we’ve had in bangalore so far.
We’d ordered pork sizzler, spicy noodles, kimbap, bibimbap and soju. All preparations were served in minutes and really good.
If you’re looking for taste similar to what you get in South Korea I would certainly recommend this place!
진짜 대박!!
Zen
This was my first experience of Korean food in India.. and I was not disappointed. This is run by a Korean family so you get the authentic taste. Just a word of caution, we Indians may not like the taste as Korean food mostly contains fermented stuffs. Have funnn
Thashvin Muckatira
Love the food here! Specially the bibimbap and the beef bulgogi. Definitely one of the better Korean places in town. They also do a on-table BBQ which is fabulous as well.
Chethna Menon
Excellent food. The ambience was the closest to a quaint Korean restaurant that I have ever seen in Bangalore. We can order the mandu, which is similar to momo, but crunchier. The bibimbap was delicious, and we followed it up with a plate of jjajangmyeon noodles. We ordered a bowl of pork soup as well and it was almost perfect.

Ratings

Food: 4.5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5

This is a pretty authentic place and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety that they had to offer. Price is reasonable and the proportions sizable. I would highly recommend it to friends in Bangalore. They don't serve alcohol though and currently do not have a lot of options for non-alcoholic beverages.

THAT SAD DINNER

Disappointed, frustrated and angry. I love Korean food and this isn't the first time at Arirang. What a let down.

Here I go.

Drum roll ....badum dum tssss.

The Bapsang was horrible. Which was actually served only after we asked them to do so. This was after 2of our main dishes were served.

The sprouts were so soggy and unseasoned. It didn't have no sesame flavour or even salt. The spicy radish salad was pungent. The kimchi was alright. There was even a fruit cum veggie bowl (apple, pineapple, carrots, capsicum)with cream dressing 😂😂.

Then there were the capsicum and onions which were definitely remains from one of their meat dishes. Where's my tofu? My potato or peanuts in sweet soya sauce?

I ordered the sea food noodles which had 8clams 1small shrimp and 2small pieces of octopus. Not much of sea food. I know cause I actually counted 😂😂I'm such a miser.

Okay moving on the kimbab and the pork soup were good . Don't think anything could have gone wrong there.

The worst part is i checked if my neighbours were served this horrendous Bapsang. We'll apparently NOT. I could see from the opening they were enjoying their peanuts the spinach ,the tofu ... 😞😞😞 .

It was such a sad dinner I tell you.

And here ends the tale of one my saddest dinner EVERrrrr.

The End

This is an unassuming place on a side street off a main road in Kammanahalli. You can choose regular seating or the more atmospheric low seats surrounded by beautifully painted walls. It's primarily for carnivores but still some good veg options. I had the vegetable bokkeum (spicy stir-fried vegetables) which comes with steamed white rice and a bowl of lettuce leaves. It's a do-it-yourself exercise to create a lettuce wrap but after making one, I gave up and just mixed the veggies and rice together. Friends had the stir-fried spicy pork hot stone pot bibimbap which was good. We got starters along with the main course which were quite tasty seafood pancake and a blander plate of Korean rolls (gimbap). Prices are on the higher side but it's a nice change of cuisine from the usual Thai and Chinese if you're seeking Asian cuisine.

I love this place.
- One can taste flavour!
- I had randomly asked a few people (who looked like they were Koreans, and turned out to be) whether or not this was close to food back home. All said yes!
- The restaurant has a small shop on the ground floor below. I keep buying firm tofu (I don't like the packaged ones available, even in Godrej Nature's Basket), kimchi and bean sprouts!

An amazing Asian themed restaurant. The food is average, you get all kinds of traditional sea food and other meat prepared in the style of a Korean kitchen. The only reason I say the food is average is because at that price the food is expected to be if not 'authentic' but a tad bit more Korean. The best part of here is the service and the sliding doors.

Incredible authentic Korean fare in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. You don't need to suit up to dine here, unlike other Asian spots in town. Fantastic ingredients cooked simply and served to be shared family-style.

Good place. Located in a prime area. We had hot stone Bibimbap, bulgogi and stir fried pork. The taste was authentic korean, which i loved. However the pricing is on a higher range.

I used to be a big fan of the place. But the restaurant needs to have more ventilation since there is a prevalent smell always. Stopped visiting due to that. The food is also a bit overpriced.

Really loved the Korean food. Amazing place. Food is little expensive like Japanese but worth it for a try. They don't have desserts. But you have nice place to sit and the soups are awesome.

We had a little difficulty in finding the place. Ambience is really good. There is place for normal dining and the korean way of dining. Side dishes were amazing. The best of all was kimbap. Tried octopus and soju for the first time. Great music for kpop lovers!
Definitely going again. Lots more dishes to try

Got a private family room with seating on floor, just like authentic Korean way. We tried out their pork and beef belly barbecue.

Pros:
1) Very good meat ( since we ordered barbecue option, we got raw meat to cook by ourselves.)
2) Excellent service.
3) Private dining area with floor seating.

Cons:
1) Expensive. If price was lower this could've been a good place to hangout with friends/ family.
2) lacks parking for cars (make sure to get parking in kammanahalli main road.)
The food was okay-ish. But the place is highly unhygienic. We sat at the room with the little floor mats (I don't know what they're called) inside. So we had to open our shoes outside. After the meal, my boyfriend found a cockroach inside his shoe. For a food place with good reputation, this is really disappointing. But I do love the 1st floor mini mart. Finally, got to taste the fire noodles!

It's the first Korean restaurant I have tried. The ambiance and food is decent enough but the service is slow. We tried tuna gimbab, BBQ chicken in hot sauce.

If you have been to Hae Kung Gam you may not like it as much. The food is decent and the side nibbles has a fresh soft tofu variety. We had a tuna gimbap and spicy pork bibimbap. The base of the bibimbap was not crispy. The accompanying chilli sauce was authentic. The complimentary cinnamon tea was to strong. Soorasang's cinnamon tea is a harmonious one. A bit on the expensive side compared to quantity. They have a Korean food store downstairs some good ingredients are available there.

Honestly speaking, I have had better Korean food than what is served here. The owner was courteous, but the staff was slow and invisible most of the times. Mainly liked the floor seating arrangement. Also, bit pricy compared to other Korean options available in this area.

Arirang has wonderful atmosphere and is a great place to get a nice authentic Korean meal.

Love the kimchee jiggae and banchan here. Also, really can't say which bbq I enjoyed the most - they're all GREAT!

Added Bonus: You can buy Korean ingredients here too.

As far as Korean food is concerned this place does not serve food as nice as what I get at Thran or at Hae Kum Gang. The service is a bit slow and has some marked attitude as compared to the warm graciousness you get at other Korean restaurants in Bangalore. The restaurant is however much better decorated than Thran or HKG, and has a section that features low style Korean seating where you have to sit after you have kept your footwear outside. nice ambience, okay food and poor service.

Yesterday again been there as 5th time and ordered couple of dishes out of it found haemul tang not that good as it was when I tried before. About doenjang jigae it was too horrible they don't cook properly n brings out with less quantity of fermented soya bean paste which taste like almost water, I cook better one.

After being frequent to this place day by day they are loosing there mark of quality food.
Diksha Kiran
I love the food here and the service is really really good. They have a lot of Korean supplies like banana milk, ramyeon and others. It's quite far from where I live but we always travel all the way just to eat here! Their menu has quite a lot of variety ((even for the vegetarians out there)) ! It's a very cozy setup with Korean style seatings besides normal ones. I love their kimbaps 🙌 Arirang is love ❤

Disappointed !!! VERY BAD SERVICE. DIFFICULT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE WAITERS AND LAZY KITCHEN. MISSED HALF THE ORDER AND COULD NOT PROVIDE WARM WATER WHEN ASKED FOR.
Mondakranta Saikia
If you love korean, and non-vegeterian and are planning to visit Arirang for the first time, may I suggest Hae Kum Gang or Soo ra sang instead. Mainly because from ambiance, to service to food quality and quantity - you will find a stark difference. Also, when you are spending so much to eat korean - you wouldn't wanna eat stale vegetables.
Whatever you do, please don't order 'Jjangmyun' where you will get two tiny pieces of pork (in the size of a cheeseling) with a bed of onions. Never before had we ordered non-vegetarian and meat was thrown in like a joke.
Even the waiters describe each meal differently. (sigh)I do feel bad about marking this a 1 star, but I am taking solace in helping you save money.

I'll say only this much: this place redeemed Bangalore for me!

Also, it would be sacrilege to miss out on the jjambong with noodles!!

And since zomato won't let me be succinct, the deonjang is life!

Definitely a different experience. Food depends on your selection. Any sea food broth is delicious. The rice wine is too hard. Desserts and sides are great. Check it out if you want a whole different food experience.

First time visit but was very disappointed. We were a group of 5 and the first to arrive. We were ushered to one of the closed room. After 15 mins, whilst we were checking the menu, we were told we need to move to a different room as the one we were sitting were already reserved. They should have ideally put the reserved board but they didnt. So after 20 mins we moved to a different room and finally put our orders. The first items we ordered were 1 beef bulgogi, 1 beef bibimbap, 1 tuna gimbap, and 1 nakji bolsotbap. Except for the names, none of the food were not even close to what korean cuisine should be. Everything was so sweet, it seemed like every dish were marinated in sugar. And they forgot to serve the sauce for the gimbabs. As we were sitting inside a closed room, we tried calling the folks using the small call buttons installed on each table, but it looked like either the button did not work or they simply forgot us. No one answered our call. So we had open the door and call anyone passing by. We later decided to order Soju. The order was taken by a guy who seemed like the supervisor. And that did not come for more than half hour. When we checked, the server did not even knew we had ordered Soju. He was prompt in bringing a bottle, but by then we were so frustrated we just wanted to leave the place. When i expressed my dissatisfaction, the excuse given was phethetic - so many customers. So we were not customers for them??? as they completely forgot about us. Final bill came to Rs.4800, just too much for a place were food is below average and service is nil. Never going to this place again and would never recommend to my friends and close ones.

Came here with few friends to have lunch. We made reservation before going so when we reached we were directly led to a cabin with korean style floor seating. The ambiance was awesome. The cabin has AC which adds upto our happiness since it was so hot outside. There is also a cute calling button fixed on the table which is really convenient.

Coming to food, we ordered Chicken BBQ sweet sauce, Pork BBQ sweet sauce, Pork BBQ hot sauce and Stir-fried Pork. All the dishes were good, especially the Pork items but doesn't really feel like Korean style dish. It's more like your regular sizzlers you get in any other restaurant. Along the main course, we were served with six different kind of side dishes which can be refilled. Also, all the dishes we had came with steamed rice. All in all, it was a good experience but more than the food the ambiance was the reason behind our happy feeling.

The food was really amazing! Ive always wanted to try few authentic korean cuisines and arirang is one should go if thats the case. The ambience and food are just too good. Oh! There also also korean goodies one could take home! ^_^

The food is beyond awesome and not just the food, the ambience is great . What tops it all is the service which is superb . The hostess Choi is warm , gracious and extremely pleasant . We didn't know a lot about Korean food except for the regular bibimbap and some more but she was kind enough to not just explain everything but also show how to each each dish so as to taste optimum. It was an amazing experience a must do if you are in Bangalore.

If you are up for exploring New cuisines, Arirang is a must try. The restaurant might feel a bit cramped but the food makes up for it. Their Menu includes octopus, squid, beef which might appeal to Non-vegetarians. The rice wine is amazing although it can be very deceptive. It is served in pint sized bottles and is very strong. The only disappointment is the cost, as all the dishes are exorbitantly priced. With a below average ambience, there is very less that the restaurant offers to justify the cost.

Sitting facility is really nice as it has different cabin and open dining both. It has barbecue facility if u wish to have. They have good jjajangmyun, ox bone soup(it's a delicacy , must try one)...visit people(but little expensive as compare to other korean restaurants)

I am a huge fan of korean food and I'd have to say I really like this place. Especially with the ambience and the decor of the place. I expected the bibimbap to be spicier and the bbq pork wraps to be better but on the whole i enjoyed the food.
Pranavya Dinesh
I loved JAPCHAE and cold noodles. Kimchi also rice is also a delicious anything. Zettaini is recommended. The restaurant is not "fancy" but simple and nice. There are options for both floor seating and table seating. When we went service was reasonable.

I am no expert on Korean food, but damn the grub is good here! It's frequented by Koreans and that was proof enough for me when it came to authenticity.

I would recommend the mandu soup or rather the dumpling and rice cake soup. Very gentle on the spices and quite filling as well. We ordered the pork bibamcap(?) which was excellent. The spicy chicken was alright and can be avoided.

Place is clean, service very efficient and overall a good place for a lazy lunch.

Oh and at the end they give you this cinnamon tea that is super duper yummy. A very welcome addition to the increasingly diverse food scene of Bangalore.

Been to this place twice since I came to Bangalore. It always have made me feel hungry whenever I think of going there. Love the food. Specially I like Gimbap, Bibimbap etc . price is high but you gotta say its worth it.
Love it!

Well, I'm not much of a picky eater. But I can't lie about this place.
I didn't enjoy the food at all. Except for certain things like kimchi which came on the side.
Too expensive for the food given.
I'd prefer you bring along a friend who knows exactly your taste buds like, or else you will be confused with what you should eat lol
Overall experience..not satisfactory..
But the ambience was very nice... Absolutely in love with the interior design!!
And not to mention the friendly service!!
I have visited this place multiple times and I just love it here ....compared to other Korean restaurants Arirang is completely authentic .
From seating arrangements to the Korean cuisines to the amazing staffs out there, hands down Arirang is the place .
The meat here is delicious where you can prepare it yourself in front of yr eyes its a bliss 😄😄
But they don't offer you soju and kimbap ....so once they do that its a 5 star from me 😁💝
Keep up the good work 👍💓

went to Ari Rang on Saturday for lunch and had one of the best culinary experiences ever. The Food was Awesome and the ambiance fantastic. The service was also top notch.

My love for korean drama and movies took me on an adventure to explore korean food. And I was surely not disappointed. Loved the light and colorful assortment of delicacy. Visited Arirang - a very cozy and warm restaurant run and managed by Korean family. The staff extremely friendly and sweet. They explained the dishes when asked and we're more than happy to help. Menu is vast for lots to opt for. Quantity of portion is very generous for the amount. I loved the chicken gimbap and the taste of seaweed. Quiet and warm ambience with good food and so just 🍶🍻.. and the good times roll. In simple loved it.

We went here last night for dinner, the decor is simply fantastic, at one point we felt we were really in Korea. We had the Bibimbap, Ox tail soup and pork barbecue. All very presented very nicely but had absolutely no seasoning. At 10 they started closing the restaurant when we were still half way through our meal.

This is a fantastic place for Korean food. Whenever I am in Bengaluru i make it a point to visit this place. If you like tofu, the soondubu jigae is a must try.
Zuby Dot
The best Korean cuisines in the town. The pancakes are very different from the usual ones of English, a must try for the egg lovers. Also, don't miss the soup.

This place made me miss Seoul a lot. The food was incredibly accurate to authentic Korean cuisine. I would definitely go there again . very delicious food. If only they served soju :-)_
