Good ambience, food was also good but not matching the levels that they charge you for.

Visited here for lunch today and it was a good experience. The taste was good and restaurant was not too crowded so the ambience felt better. More importantly the service was quicker compared to the last visit. Only complain was with the fried egg which was too oily.

This place is value for money place ; with some excellent Chinese dishes Best part is pocket friendly Though it may not be on the standards of mainland china or Ming Yang but it’s good in its own way Location is convenient and easy to find Being a old joint the decor is a little rustic but that’s fine with me as it gives a sense of comfort to a regular customer Coming to the main part for which I was there that is food … its outstanding!!! One of the coolest places in the locality, for evening dining. It is an awesome place for a stomach treat with a variety of food items in their menu. Their schezwan pran noodles is exceptionally awesome treat to savour here. Don't miss out the special mixed fried rice. Good food and good service. It was a nice experience. Their ambience is awesome, given the crowd. It is nicely decorated. The price was as per the franchise chain. The food was really tasty and the service is 5 star! The staff were polite and provided fast service.

Food is great, no doubt, its one of my favourite food joint .... But Never listen to them if they say it's safe to park your car in front of their Resturant. You vll get fine for sure. They guarantee that it won't be fined but never park , on 28th July I called them via call enquired for parking they assured its "SAFE " to park nd won't get penalized. Now I got 500 rs fine. Edit: After talking with the manager I got it resolved.... Food is great no question about it, but false promises regarding parking its upsetting.

Excellent vibes and good ambience.. unique dining experience .. Chinese㊙️⛩️🍜 style dishes especially soups I loved the most ..service is good and respectful and well maintained place. Very much authentic When compared to big name Chinese outlets outside .. The taste and quality of food was also excellent. The only scope of improvement and a must improve subject here is the toilet🤮 and the worst I have experienced in such a good restaurant. A ⭐ just down for the washroom hygiene and space.

It's been one of my favorite place for Chinese cuisine as they make one of the best and tastiest meals... And the other best part is that it's not expensive at all. So taking your family and friends for a hearty meal is always a good idea. The place may not look very posh, but just ordinary....and you wouldn't be disappointed by the service of the staffs. Wish u all a hearty meal.. 😊👍🏻

Such fantastic info Chinese food, the chilli chicocken starters, vegetarian spring rolls and the lollipop chicken was very flavorful. All the food ordered was very satisfying. The corn soup is authentic, the veg noodles is just their forte. We loved their egg fried rice, we also ordered their dragon spring roll but I think the normal spring rolls will taste better. Their pepper paneer was really good too! There might be waiting as there is space constriction.

Had been to this place for dinner on weekday. I'm not a Chinese food lover but like to try it occasionally. I ordered their chicken spring rolls and chawmein. My all time favourite Chinese place to go.<br/><br/>Family as well as friends restaurant. Got home delivered for dinner. Paid Rs. 400 for Chicken soup and chicken steamed wonton. Cockroach was found in wonton..... Really... How can a reputed restaurant like Chungs can be so dirty? I was always fond of their foods.... Lost my faith. Thrown away everything.... Couldn't believe the soup also.

If you are looking for pocket friendly chinese food, this should be the best. I had mixed halka noodles and one basa preparation, it was really good in taste. The restaurant looks pretty old but again, if you are foodie, that doesn't matter I feel. Overall thumbs up

The food is good and staff attentive. Ordered chilly garlic fried chicken fried rice which was not as spicy as expected but tasty none the less. Dragon Chopsuey was okay. Loved chicken in oyester sauce. Overall, the place is value for money.

This place has been here for quite some years now. The ambience is decent, but does not stand a chance to give other places a run for their money in terms of ambience. The food still tastes good, been here after a year or so and wasn’t disappointed with the food. The portion size hasn’t changed, and is quite filling.

I was at Cunningham Road last weekend and came across Chung's Chinese Corner. Thought to give it a try.<br/><br/>For Saturday, it was empty with only 2 other tables occupied. Guess that was the first sign.<br/><br/>The server was not able to explain much so settled for the combo meal. Ordered Fresh Lime along with. The food came in a plastic tray and the presentation was poor. Did not expect such food presentation. The chicken was alright but the noodles were not at all tasty.<br/><br/>The fresh lime was still not to be seen and had to remind 3 times before it was finally brought to the table. (Asked for a straw but they didn't have any).<br/><br/>I was expecting the place to be a lot better.<br/>

Food tasted really bad! And for some reason we weren’t allowed to use our Zomato gold membership here. The staff was in hurry to dump everything on the table! Soup, appetiser and the main course was served at the same freaking time!

The staff here is extremely rude and impolite. You have to keep reminding them to get your order. They make you feel like they are doing a favour towards you. Also, they have their own clauses for using Zomato Gold here. Absolutely pathetic.

Waste food and waste service . Very unfresh food and time consuming and not at all worth to come and have food. And we requested manager to vist our table but till no response from them horrible service DO NOT VISIT

They absolutely refused to accept zomato gold.<br/>Even going ahead and twisting the story, saying that I didn't show them the zomato gold privilege and hence as per the T&C they would not accept it.<br/><br/>The cashier even went to the length of admitting that the reason they prefer not to accept it, as it isn't profitable.<br/><br/>Zomato advised me later on that I should not have paid the bill,<br/>However that seemed impossible with 3 waiters standing around in an aggressive situation.

Pathetic service! They didn't accepted our zomato gold. Because we told them after few seconds of ordering. Staff was very rude. In short 'mediocre food with pathetic service'. We'll never recommend to anyone.

One needs to have love for Chinese food to enjoy it, me being too crazy about mom's visited this place. But was a turn off, ordered for a panner starts, some compromise of momos and schezwan fried rice.Non of it was good, panner was cold which I had send back and get it done, mom's replacement was just too ok and fried rice was very ab.. salt or spicey nothing was in it.But have heard that this place serves better non-veg.. Need to give a try.Vegetarians stay away!!

Food was mediocre, service was terrible.<br/>Not at all customer friendly. When they got the drink order wrong the first time, it felt like it was our fault that they have not taken down the order correctly.<br/>We told them we had zomato gold a little in to the meal and even the manager was not willing to add it on at that point, though it would have hardly taken him a few minutes. He point blank refused to take an extra step for customer satisfaction.

This place really gives good Chinese food. We were some 20 of us and ordered a lot of things but the best was chilli garlic noodles and dragon paneer gravy. It’s a really good place for cheap and tasty Chinese food

Nice and only place in the vicinity for a nice Chinese meal. Pls try their chopsueys they are really nice and authentic . Also the pan fried noodles both veg and non veg. Drums of heaven in starters is a must try for non veg lovers. You can try out the stewed rice and leefu rice over here.

Food is good.Low oil and good quantity of vegetables in my noodles made me feel nice about my choice. Try this place if you are health conscious yet want to enjoy the world of food. Expect an old world Chinese restaurant charm.

Good spicy food.

Food is good here. We will get a very nice Chinese foods. But service is really worst. One Friday lunch we went there we are 5 members. After ordering food we waited more than one hour to get our food. When we call a person to enquire about our order, he had not lend his ears to us. He crossed our table as if he had not noticed us. This happened for almost two three times. At last we complaint to the restaurant manager, then we got all of our orders at the same time. By the time food comes all of our hunger has gone around 2:30. It was such a bad service we received from them.<br/><br/>@Restaurant management, please teach your employees how to behave with customers.

While in the hostel, this was our favorite place to order food from. The food is tasteful and the menu has variety. The quantity for the price did not make a hole in our pockets. I have been twice to this place and was disappointed both the times. The ambiance and service were good but the main element, food, was not upto the mark. We had ordered for a sweet corn soup and golden fired baby corn which was regular. For a change tried something new on the menu, veg koithoi which was unusually spicy and inedible. On whole it was a subtle experience.

Food was ok nothing great. Served the purpose of a working lunch. The time taken to deliver food is not suitable for office delivery. Takes too long.

Yesterday I had ordered food from this place. I had ordered for drums of heaven for starters, chicken Hakka noodles and chicken Manchurian gravy for main course. Chung's as always never disappoints me with the food. The food was delicious. I had a great time.

Really nice chinese food. More of a indian version yet very tasty !! Shezwan stuff here is really goood. Quantity is large can easily serve 3-4. Definately value for money.

The food here is decent for Chinese. The price and quantity are also pretty decent. Try the Honey Chilli Chicken which is really good. Their tomato soup is also pretty thick.

Am an absolute sucker for Chinese food and everytime am craving some Chinese I visit this place. <br/>It's quite old and have not been renovated in awhile so it doesn't look great, it's an average looking place but that has do nothing with the quick service and good food that they serve. <br/>I have been here multiple times for lunch and the service has been consistently good. The staff is friendly and warm.<br/>Our regular order consists of crispy chilly chicken, veg fried wontons, egg koi-thai, veg butter garlic noodles, kung pao chicken and crispy chilly corn. And trust me they are all good. <br/>They do serve meefon but it's not as great as other things that are served here. <br/>Overall great food, friendly staff and reasonably priced. You must try this place if you are looking in for good Chinese food on a decent budget.

I use to visit this place few years back because the food was good. Keeping that I mind I took my friends to this place and we had a awful experience the soup which we ordered was filled with green chilles it was more like green chilles soup. I think I could make it much better than the chef, we told the manager that looks like the chef is too liberal will the chilles and if he could watch on the main course.<br/><br/>Now comes the main course it was too plain with zero salt we had ordered noodles n some gravy which was tasteless. When we told the manager he wasn't ready to even acknowledge that the food needs improvement.. A big no to the place neither the food nor the management is worth spending your money and time

Worst food service i have seen. I found hair in the Fried rice we ordered and after a lot of request they exchanged it and gave a new plate. I'm actually a little surprised by the negative comments before mine. We usually order in, we haven't dined there in ages. I'm not sure if that's the difference. <br/><br/>Anyway, we have been ordering take out from Chung's since ether late 90s, ever since we moved to this neighbourhood. They even deliver during heavy rains, which we really appreciate. And it's the only Chinese food I swear by. <br/><br/>My favourite dishes include Chicken Steamed Rice, Butter Garlic Noodles and Hunan Chicken (both dry and gravy). We also like the Chinese Chopsuey with fried noodles, dragon chicken, steamed chicken momos, shredded threaded chicken and wonton soup. <br/><br/>We order at least twice or thrice a month. It's one of or regular delivery joints. And we've always liked the food. :)

This place is just a one time visit place.<br/>The menu is vast but will offer you only a few things that are worth a try.<br/>The soups were average, while the starters are ok and the main course being average.<br/>The staff is not courteous and make you feel like an unwanted customer.<br/>It is better to take a suggestion from the staff.<br/>The only item that I personally liked is the egg rice which was nearly perfect. Went here for lunch . We ordered dragon rolls, veg chilli garlic chowmein and thai fried baby corn. The quantity of chowmein was less according to me , being called " chilli garlic chowmein" it hardly had any chilli or garlic. Both the starters were average . The service was quick .

Visited this place for a send off party and is a short walk from office. We were a big group of 15 people and they accommodated us on the 1st floor where we got our secluded space to chit chat and talk loudly without disturbing others. Excellent Chinese food, good value for money. <br/><br/>I was impressed with the food they serve here. <br/><br/>I went there with a friend for lunch. We ate our Lung Fung Veg Soup, Chicken Clear Soup, Hakka Veg Noodles and Veg Balls in Chilli & Garlic Sauce in total silence; we were so taken in by the food. Compared with most other Chinese restaurants in Bangalore, the food here tasted much fresher and felt lighter on the tummy. <br/><br/>The service takes just the right time, considering that they make the food exceedingly well. The food portions are generous and the staff, courteous. <br/>This restaurant is good for a leisurely meal or for a somewhat quicker affair on a weekday afternoon. <br/><br/>Overall, good bang for your buck.

Just now I ordered my lunch from chungs chinese corner, dragon chowmein and fried rice worst chinese i ever had ... No taste in dragon chowmein and also even spoons were not given by the restaurant... waste of money and food...

I came here for brunch and well the food isn't that bad.....the quantity is worth the money you pay....the quality is good too. The only negative point I would like to point out is the service....I felt it was too slow. But overall I would love to come here again and try other dishes

Like many other Chinese n Oriental restaurant this place is also an average joint..service is good..but food needs to be improved.. Steamed chicken wantons were ordered..which tasted very ordinary..and predominant use of garlic will only mar ur taste buds..all-over experience was fair..

I have been to Chung's before and the food, if not the greatest, was decent enough for a no frills meal. Last Sunday's experience though was one for the record books. It is really sad, when a restaurant takes its customers for granted. I don't think this review or rating will matter, because they occupy a prime spot on a busy road and will always have customers.<br/><br/>Well a super hungry bunch of 8 went there around 8.30pm, post a movie festival in the vicinity. The restaurant was not full by any means, but we were asked to occupy a table upstairs, since we were a large group.<br/><br/>The first ominous sign was the waiter coming after 10mins with menus. Since we wanted a quick meal, we ordered multiple rices and noodles and ordered a few chicken (chilly chicken, chicken in oyster sauce) and veg dishes (veg balls in garlic sauce, veg stir fry) and lime sodas for everyone.<br/><br/>And then the forever wait! OK maybe they were caught by surprise with a large no of guests or whatever, but the manager could have easily said, it would take time or something. Even the simple lime sodas didn’t make it to our table. Finally after two reminders, when we had enough and threatened to walk out, the lime sodas appeared and the food finally made it’s way around 9.45pm!<br/><br/>Anyway we simply wolfed down the food and except for a few dishes like the chicken in oyster sauce, stir fry and the schezwan rice, which were decent, everything else was pretty ordinary and was obviously prepared by the harried chefs! We got the bill with a 10% SC added to it, but were simply too tired to sit and debate that with the management. Sorry but this is a right-off for me.<br/>

The quantity served is pretty decent for the price that Chung's charges. 'Quantity for money' in short!! <br/>However, the quality can improve a bit. <br/>More so, the ambience can improve a lot........ <br/>

Heard a lot about them and the food at Chung's finally thought of trying it out. And guess what the food is actually great just a few things that dint go down well with it. <br/><br/>This place has two dishes one named chicken lollipop and the other drums of heaven both seem to be exactly the same ! <br/><br/>This place has something called triple shezwan fried rice, if you Google it it gives you a very elaborate description of what it is and what you should expect - just a warning don't Google any dish because you won't expect anything close to that. All said and done whatever you get on your plate is really tasty and worth the money. <br/><br/>The one additional problem is that is very consistent with places in and around indranagar is that they have zero hospitality and don't care about customer retention. Really sad to see people in the hospitality business being non hospitable. <br/><br/>But If you don't care about the service and dirty sauce dishes then Chung's is a great place also is easy on the pocket. <br/><br/>

The service is excellent, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great Chinese food. <br/>For the main course I prefer the Basil fried rice along with hao hao chicken gravy, it tastes delicious.

Not great ambiance at all but pretty nice Chinese food & quick service. We had the hunan chicken in starters & the egg fried rice with Chicken Manchurian , all tasted delicious. Good for home delivery.

It was my third time visit to chungs.... It is a nice place with pleasant atmosphere... The chinese food they serve is yummilicious... we had ordered shanghai rice and veg sesame toast.... I would say this place is best for a quick bite, but their service is so slow! We nearly missed the movie waiting for just a couple of dishes. Also, there is difficulty communicating to the waiters which is very annoying. <br/><br/>Taste is average. There is no ambience. Infact, it looks unhygienic. I shudder to think how the kitchen must be. <br/><br/>Visit only if you have no choice.

Such a disappointment this one was.. The service, food, ambience, music, everything was a let down. The waiters dont seem to understand anything whatsoever. Maybe the other outlets wouldn't be as bad as this one. But one thing is for sure, I'm never going back here. Ever again.

Brings back my 90's school and college days basic Chinese food where there was no competition and anything edible will do .This place is for people who want to have a quick bite when there is nothing around ......the food was decent.

No Comments!!!. I didn't like anything in Chungs, should try other branches. Hope they do not disappoint me like this. I checked the reviews and tried Lefo rice, but it was burnt and smelling... Ambience was not clean. Service was bad. I did not know what language to decipher to make the waiters understand, think sign language would have helped and actually that's what helped me. Hmmmm. Not going back again to that place....

A decent Chinese Restaurant with some good dishes to taste. Liked their drums of heaven, chicken leefoo fried rice & hunan chicken. Their portions r gud n filling. Not too heavy on the pocket. This isn't going to be an exhaustive review since we went to this place when we weren't really hungry and hence, we skipped the main course all together.<br/><br/>Whatever little we ordered was enough to impress us, though! The soups are great and as they should be. We also had Tofu in schezwan sauce and it was delicious. So now, that's a must try at Chung's! The Cassata icecream, however, was not cassata at all....there was no cake in it..just a semicircular layer of 2 flavors doesn't make cassata, right? The ice cream flavor was good, though.<br/><br/>The service appeared great and we didn't have to wait for anything. The staff was courteous too. Cards were not being accepted that day for some reason but they had put a big notice on the door itself informing the same, so, it shouldn't be counted as a real negative.<br/><br/>The ambiance of the place is like any average Chinese joint. You can go have a nice chat with your friends without anyone complaining but it would fall short for a nice fancy evening. The prices are reasonable.

15 years back, I was introduced to Chinese cuisine from this place, and since then, this place have been one of my favourites for a quick Chinese bite. I love their crispy chilly chicken, it's crunchy, juicy and absolutely delicious. their dishes have a good tadka, specially the spicy ones. Good location, decent ambience, average service, but food makes up.for it. Satisfied

The first place that comes to my mind for a quick Chinese bite!<br/><br/>AMB : Typical Chinese diner, cosy food joint around the corner.<br/>FOOD : Respectable Chinese food. Serves tasty chicken and veg dishes. The variety offered makes you go back.<br/>SERVICE : Not the best but they fit the purpose. Quick 8/10 times.<br/>COST : Very reasonable. No dish cost more than 200 so you do the calculation.<br/>Meal for 2(my standards) costs 800/- max

Have been frequenting this place from past seven years as its quiet near to my work place..<br/><br/>PARKING: Finding parking can be little difficult as the restaurant does not has a parking area.<br/><br/>AMBIENCE: The place is a two floor setup and spacious.. ambience is ordinary with wodden tables and chairs.. Though they have A/c, it never works..<br/><br/>FOOD: Though have visited this place innumerable times, I always end up ordering Chicken dragon Choupsey, chicken hot n sour soup and Drums of heaven as I love these dishes here.. The other dishes are pretty decent too..<br/><br/>SERVICE & COST: Service is good but sometimes can be very slow.. Dishes are moderately priced..<br/><br/>SUGGESTION: service needs to be little quick and restrooms need to be given attention too..

I don't recommend any chicken rice items. The chicken pieces were not well cooked. Apart from this I have nothing else to complain about. The food generally tasted 'not so bad ' or very generic. The waiters aren't really that courteous and the service is kinda amateurish. Overall if you crave for Chinese in this area then this is perhaps your only choice and you won't be overly dissapointed.

A vegetarian here,<br/>Loved the crispy chilli potatoes(spicy) and the schezwan fried rice. Not so good ambience and average staff behaviour and experience.<br/><br/>All my points for the food.

Good place to have Chinese.. Ambience is just OK. Serves in good quantity.. Food will be served on plate.. Chicken Lolipop was good.. Good place for a gang of 3 or 4.. Reasonable pricing...

Pretty good stuff, fast service. There is scope for improvement on the ambience front, but if you're looking for a joint which guarantees tasty Chinese food on Cunningham Road, Chung's is the place to go!

Shocking to see such low ratings for this place.. To start of with my reasons, I ordered crispy chilli chicken and manchow soup which was delicious..followed by fish manchurian which was also very nice.<br/>Then coming to the mains we went for chilli garlic chowmien, butter garlic rice and schezwan chicken gravy. The noodles and the rice was very nice..but the gravy could have been better. <br/>Over all food was very nice nd service was also quick.

Have been to their Cunningham Road branch a few times. Decent location and ambiance. Don't expect Mainland China interiors, but definitely on the better side of reasonable Chinese restaurants.<br/><br/>Tried the Meefoon (rice noodles) and loved it. Its absolutely DELICIOUS. Definitely recommended. For the starters, the crispy chilly chicken is decent. <br/><br/>Worth a visit just for the Meefoon.

If you are looking out for comfort food with a resonable price and big portions, then Chungs is the place to go. <br/>Although I can complain that the consistency of the taste varies a little now and then, the food is still tasty nevertheless.<br/>They overall cater to a more Indian-Chinese taste which is quite appetizing to look forward to.

Food is good.. but baad service.. rude waiters. Good for home delivery only..
