Really a cost friendly eatery in super costly area of Koramangala.. Every food is reasonably priced and Daal Baati Chokha is what i liked most here.. Try their thali and Aalu Paratha as those are really good.

Place is ok to sit with friends though bit congested.

If you crave for homemade food then this is the right place for you. Their menu is not very extensive but yes it's satisfying as they really have good that will remind you of your mother's hand made food. I really love their Khichadi which I often order on weekends. By the way of you live in 5th,6th or 7th block then if you call them they will deliver you food for free. Also do try their Dal batti chokha and Tandoori litti chokha. Absolutely delicious.😋😋😋😋

I came through this place when I was searching for dal baati in the Zomato as a dish and I got happy to see one place which actually offers it. I didn't have much expectations when I ordered it. But it was really more than expectations and it's like home-made. Just like my mom cooks. I even sent it's photo to my mom. And more surprisingly, they delivered the order within 15 mints. I am really satisfied with their food and service.

Edit1: After ordering twice from this place and liking it, I finally visited the place. It's a really small place where tables and chairs are place just to serve the guests, it's like a small shop. The staffs were good, they were serving nicely and responding quickly. Looking at the ambience, I would lower my rating by 1 to make it fair.

One of the most economical and tasty food joints in Koramangala. A regular food joint that serves thali and other full meals. Their dal khichdi and puri sabji are worth trying. Definitely worth visiting multiple times, specially when you're on budget, say the end of the month. And yes they do accept cards The service is on the slower side though given that they are short in staff.

One evening for dinner I wanted to eat butter khichdi but my main problem is that in Bangalore no one serves butter khichdi the way I prefer and have eaten many times in Indore, but my friends suggested we go to this place and try as we were near by.

About the place it's a small outlet serving North Indian veg food along with regular thali. It's looks a bit crowded when it's full, which it generally is most of the time or at least I have seen it. The two reasons for this place being full is its popularity, which is because of the hot and fresh food it serves and its small size.

Some of us ordered dal khichdi here and some puri bhaji. Now the problem was that I wanted to eat butter khichdi but had to settle with dal khichdi which for me was a turn off. But what came in was different from my expectation. We all got served with hot food which I liked. Then came in the tasting part, and to my surprise it was actually good. Not what I wanted but something I could settle for.

On part of service this place has only 2 people looking after the tables but the speed with which they take orders and service them is quite remarkable. Very brilliant and fast service. And the ones serving are quite polite and courteous.

The major reason for me giving this place a low rating is apart from puri bhaji, dal khichdi I was not able to find the kind of taste that the above two item have though I haven't tried litti chokha or dal batti here, may be I'll change my rating after trying those. But till then I won't hesitate going to this place only for khichdi and puri bhaji.

No-nonsense and extremely affordable place to grab a bite. Options are fairly limited with choices of rajasthani thali, basic Sabji, parathas. The rajasthani thali comes with choice between daal or kadhi, two sabjis, one dry and one gravy, fulkas and rice, as much as u want. The dry Aloo Sabji in the thali was spicy and tasty. The gravy Sabji was Paneer and Chana. The kadhi and daal tasted good too. We also tried litti chokha with daal and daal baati chokha. Litti was delicious and quite filling. The aloo chokha was really tasty. The daal baati was provided with ghee.
The total cost for 5 people was around ₹600 with lassi and cold drink.
Overall, it's an affordable place with tasty everyday food.

You will get a lovely home cooked meal, accompanied by excellent service.

If you order an "Unlimited Meal", then the entire service is bound to remind you of your home, where your plates are never empty, and someone is there to stuff a little more food down your tummy. Quite unique to watch a place where the servers forces you to eat more, and refrains you from keeping a count of how many roti you are having!

This is how you must serve the food, with love!

Decent place for a simple and pocket-friendly North-Indian meal.

The ambiance is of a college canteen - small tables, people sitting close-by and questionable cleanliness. The food comes to the table in no time and is hot and fresh.

i sampled sattu parathas and litti chokha and both were fairly good. The litti chokha was served with dal (a touch of Rajasthan's Dal Baati in Bihar's litti chokha?). Though the things tasted well together, I wished there was a spicy chutney to go with it. The sattu parathas came along with aloo matar sabji and dahi. Spicy enough to make it tasty while light enough to enjoy it without feeling overly full.

This is a no non-sense place for a quick, cheap and tasty meal.

Looks are truly deceptive!
I was in two minds about dining here as I looked at Shyam Thali from the outside. Functional tables and plastic stools make up the furniture and that is just about it.
I tried the Sattu Paratha as was immediately impressed. 2 large well made parathas accompanied by a peas and potato Subzi and Curd, both of which are topped up.
A clean, home cooked style meal that leaves you full but does not leave your pocket empty.
Super quick and enthusiastic service was another plus.

So I had a craving for Rajma Rice and was wondering where to order from and then I remembered about this place. Although the name says thali, I had a feeling even the Rajma Rice would be good as it was recommended. So I ordered it. And what a pleasant surprise ! It was really good and homely. Had even ordered a roasted papad with it and it was just the perfect meal. Quite good. I suggest people to try Rajma Rice from here. The quantity, I thought was perfect, if you eat properly that is, but for some it might be too less and that could be a problem. Otherwise, go for it !

This place was buzzing with people when we arrived for lunch. A small eatery packed with people, serving hot piping food instantly and people finishing them within no time. They claim to provide you with unlimited food with their thali meals. Typically serving North Indian vegetarian meals this place plays host to a large group of North Indians who usually rush to this place for a quick afternoon lunch.
Well no interiors to make a note of. Cramped up seating arrangement but you can't complain about that when you spread your eyes on the menu and the prices they quote for the same.
The service providers are specimen in themselves and are quick and prompt. I specially want to mention about the guy who took our orders. He has a typical sing song undertone and almost narrates the whole menu to you in a typical entertaining way leaving a smile on your face.
They have a good variety of menu to choose from and we settled for the famous Rajasthani dal baati churma and matar puri. The dal baati churma was a first time experience for me and it was a good treat to the taste buds. The waiters keep refilling your plates with daal even without you asking for it and I loved this part. The matar puri tasted good too and I loved the aloo curry that accompanied it.
Overall a good pocket friendly place to fill your tummies. Would want to try out their dishes soon.

My favourite place for veg thali is this little place tucked away in one busy street of koramangala.. U can't expect much of an ambience out here.. It's just a simple seating.. Have been going here from past 2yrs and it has never disappointed me since then.. We mainly order thali but once we got a chance to try their pooris in the evening for snacks and they were lip smacking... Hot hot puris served with dahi and sabzi.. Oh wow.. The thought makes me want to go there now! And guess what it's cheap and very filling and so are their thalis.. Rs.80 per thali and its unlimited.. Love their dry sabzis and dal makhani.. The rotis are also very soft... One can never go half empty stomach from here coz the portion sizes are huge and also lighter on the pocket.. The staff is very quick and smiling so if u happen to go in there in a bad mood, u will come out smiling!!

Okay so this place is a gem in Kormangala. If you're looking for good home like North Indian food this is a must try for you. Located on the 6th main 60ft road opposite Anand sweets and Madhuloka in Koramangala it's a purely vegetarian restaurant . But don't let that deter you from checking this place out.

Ambiance : I'm not going to rate the Ambiance here as the good food makes up for the minimalist seating arrangements.

Food 4/5 : The food hits home to North India. Ranging from Paranthas, Puri Sabji, Poha, Thalis, Khichdi everything on the menu is very good.

Must Try
------------
Unlimited Thali with Kadhi

Service 4/5 - The most swift service I've seen till date. The maximum wait time is 2 minutes and beats any Michelin star restaurants on table delivery. The "bhaiyas" (as I'd like to refer to them) are very swift and courteous and will keep serving food till the time you beg them to stop. The bhaiya at the counter is a treat to talk to and would remember you from every visit that you've made and will make you feel welcome. 5 Star restaurants would wanna take note.

Cost 5/5 - Is it that time of the month when you've bled yourself dry by eating at those fancy places, fear not find Rs.75 and head over to Sri Shyam thali and eat like the fat kid who loves his chocolate.

You won't get a good ambience..agreed..but when you can fill yourself in just 70 bucks, that too with home-like food, which people living far from home crave for, you cannot do anything but rate this place a 4.5

Freshly prepared homely food for decent price.

This place serves
1. Parathas
2. Thali
3. Puri Bhaji
4. Steaming hot Khichdi with Ghee
5. Chole Bhature
6. Poha
7. Daal Bati
8. Litti Chokha

It is a nice small place on 60ft Road near Anand Sweets. Food has truly earthen taste. Their menu is varied and all items I have tried (listed above) are tasty. My favorite is Khichdi with Chokha. Place is besides road very much open and airy. All items I had here were freshly prepared. I especially like this since a lot of their items cannot be prepared in advance like Khichdi.

Nice place to go to have homely food for decent price.

You get unlimited chapati and rice with an option of yellow dal or kadi with a tomato based Sabji they have that day which is usually paneer and yummy aloo sabji and of course you get papad and raita along. This place is my all time dinner place as the food is homely and not heavy. The staff is very friendly and Ravi uncle who is in charge makes sweet lassi on his own with perfection, topping it with malai and glazed cherry. Very homely indeed.
(Don't expect a fancy sitting area its almost like a dhaba across yana sizzlers)
This Thali only costs 65 rupees !! :)

A pretty good price for food. Homely taste. A very good option if you are light on pockets or believe in cost cutting. Families, guys can walk in. I won't suggest this place for couples. A satisfying thali for 60 bucks is all you need after 20th of each month. :D

Food is good and hygienic, the quantity is not less and not large either. The staff are well mannered but the service is slow. The food is expensive relatively to other family restobars.

The Manglorean cuisine here is really good. Service wise they were a bit slow. So you gotta order as much as in one go The restaurant could have better lighting as it didn't feel bright enough even during the day. Good for families and friends Cash/Card/UPI accepted

Parika is a coastal-themed restaurant on the 3rd floor of Twin Tulips hotel. It's decor reminds you of heritage homes, full of teak and rose wood interiors and panelling. There is a bridge connecting the main dining area to the secluded bar with hanging lamp shades and it's like a complete sophisticated vintage setting. Very nice indeed! The food is unique in the sense that you have all the North Indian favourites along with Mangalorean delicacies. We ordered multiple starters like Hara bhara kebab, crispy corn and paneer tikka. The Hara bhara was a tad bit spicy but the others were just right. The sweet corn and tomato shorba soups were fantastic. For mains we ordered Mangalorean specialities like Sannas, Pundi, Neer Dosa and Appams. With that we ordered veg stew, malai kofta and palak dal. The food tasted like home cooked food! Finger lickin delicious! The staff seemed like long term ones and they gave a personal touch to the entire ordering experience, also customising spice levels as requested. So polite and courteous! Overall, you can head to Parika for an unusual experience with the advantage of a bar (for that special toast) along with unique coastal dishes, superb taste and a warm home like service! Celebrations!

For an authentic sea food , we visit this place Little expensive. But worth having Sunday lunch here once in a while. The ambience is good. We love their crab soup. We tried Pulimanchu this time. Went well with neer dosa and poondi (rice and coconut mixed ball). I have added two more photos 🤣 taken in the men's rest room.

Great place for the Mangalorean style seafood. The ghee roast is their signature dish and is really lip-smacking, Must try! The combination ghee roast prawn with neer dosa was delicious 😋. I also tried Tandoori Pomfret was really tender and juicy... Melted in the mouth. Highly recommend this place 😊

Decent decor, friendly service and comfortable ambience is what is first noticeable. The food is fairly decent, a bit mild and not the spiciest version of costal food. Yet holds up very well compared to some legendary places like Anupam's coast to coast etc in taste and flavor. Had the rawa fried prawns, a basket of coastal breads, and a Chicken Kori Gassi. The prawn was crunchy on the outside and soft and flavorful inside. The sannas, neer dosa and appams were all very soft and nice. The pundi was a bit hard but not to the level one would complain. Of the breads, the sannas were the best. Chicken was quite soft and flaky, with deeply flavorful curry. The only off note was Kokum sherbet which was a little too sweet, which too was probably my fault as I should have just opted for the sour version 😅 All in all a good meal, the kinds you feel very soporific after !! Worth a bite.

Parika in HSR layout is an absolute delight. Mangalorean and Udupi coastal cuisine. Had a quite rare sober Egg Ghee Roast (not overly spicy, but had the strong byadgi flavour), with Neer dose, PunDi, Prawn Masala fry, and Veg Gassi. Ended with Ragi Manni. Very authentic, very comforting and tasty. We knew Parika is a heritage village/town in Udupi close to where we live, we told them about it. the staff struck a nice conversation with us in Kannada and Tulu, and told us about the legacy of this nearly two-decade old restaurant. Went with wife and mom, and all of us loved the hospitality, food taste and proportions, as well as the beautifully wooden & dimly lit ambience. A must visit place.

I’ve been eating in parika since 2015 and till Date it’s never disappointed me once.. the Mangalorean cuisine is very well presented here.. I love their ghee roast.. it’s not very hot as many other places, it’s rich and flavourful, with perfect balance between the chillies and ghee. Loved the pomfret tandoori and anjal tawa fry.. seafood at its best. I also had the village special mutton fry which tasted top notch. Truly one of the best in town. They do serve ragi manni but what blew my mind was their signature fried ice cream.
