Review Mars Chicken Delight - Bengaluru

Richard Jones
Nice place in Koramangala. We have been in Koramangala for quite a number of years and have seen very few places sustain over the last 25 years inspite if so much competition and tons of restaurant and eateries all around this side of town. We have been quite a regular of Mars and have always been satisfied. They serve good veg and non-veg stuff. Many opt for take away’s but many also like to visit their place and have their food. Though a small place is on the ground floor with a bigger place on the upper floor. Neat and clean place and kitchen visible to see what’s happening within their area. Give it a try and sure you will not be disappointed.

Some of the best ghee rice I've had in Bangalore. Pairs really well with the chicken kebab, Manchurian or any of their tandoori stuff. Really great taste and excellent value for money. I come here all the time.

Dishes with black pepper are mouth watering. Must try Biryanis and Parotas.

Quality food and quick service. The taste is not exceptional but it is consistent and good. There is a clean kitchen prompt service and it's light on the pocket.

This restaurant is LEGIT one of the best places to dine out in Koramangala. The prices are reasonable, food is great and you don't have to wait much once your order and that's a big plus. If you're looking for a good place that's cheap but also delivers on what it promises to offer. This restaurant is for you. I have been here maybe 12 to 15 times and this restaurant doesn't disappoint They do takeouts and catering too, that's cool 👍. (P.S leave a like that others can see this comment)

I tried their 100 rupees non veg meals it was correct proportion and mix of food for lunch. All the items tasted good. Worth every penny paid.

Small place but some of the items r tasty and good. Chicken masala was the best. Tried twice with parota.
Manasi Pingle
Nice food. Quick service

Best place to order food if you are approaching the end of the month and would like to order cheaper, yet tasty food. The dishes are spicy and their chicken dishes are really worth ordering. They also deliver for a minimum of 150.

Old school restaurant.. Was surprised to see it's still surviving their biriyani is good we used to go there just for the biriyani the quantity is good...

Basic food and value for money, post covid everyone have their own set of problems, very old place in Koramangala with free Door for orders above Rs. 300

The food here is cheap and good.. the waiting time is really less... The quantity is good too ..
They can work on the ambience though ...
Also the tandoori chicken is not that good..they tend to burn it ...

We had 2 Ghee Rice,1 Butter Chicken Masala and 2 Lime Soda sweet.
All these 3 items taste were fantastic.
Quantity of Rice in 1 bowl is more than sufficient for 1 person.
Butter chicken pcs were shreded with thick gravy.
And Lime soda sweet was having essence of lemon while drinking.
Price is very reasonable.
Staffs were polite.
Overall great experience.👍👍👍👍👍

Decent place. Average service. Good food. The place is quite reasonable and serves good lunch. A lot of options for non-vegetarians. Butter chicken masala is one of the best dishes they have on their list. Chicken kebab is good too. I've been here for lunch for 3-4 times and the place has never disappointed in terms of food. Head out for good pocket friendly food.

The name says they are dedicated to non veg, but I tried their veg, and it was kind of okayish. Nothing great to write about, and not that bad to complain about.

I have tried out this restaurant by ordering it online quite a few times because the delivery is quick!

I really like their Hot and Sour soup as it is more on the ginger garlic side. And the packing for the takeaway is also good. Coming to the starters the Chilly chicken was okay and the Paneer 65 was good!

I haven't tried much from their main course menu except for the paneer butter masala and tandoori roti. The quantity was good enough for two peopleand taste was okay.

Their menu have several milkshakes/fruit juices to choose from but i have tried only their Chikku milkshake! The price is pretty decent for what they serve.

This place used to be only choice for non veg foods once upon a time during my college days (2004-08). There was hardly any other restaurant around that area those days. A small but compact menu, average but well to your pocket. I still like the Egg Fried Rice and chicken kabab.

I ordered Hyderabadi chicken biryani. I don't know what rice they sent me. The taste is so bad u can't even eat and the quality of rice is so poor..Please guys be careful while ordering from here. It sucks...
Bhuvan
They food quality is going on a degrading slope . The food lacks freshness and flavour . This place requires a revamp or will lose old customers also
Esha
Worst ever.. ordered veg kadai and chapathi through UberEats last evening.. couldn't make out whether it was veg kadai or navratan korma.. horrible coriander seeds taste.. it tasted more like home-made saagu.. Yuck..

Chapathi resembled jolada rotti in both taste and appeal.

Never ordering from here. Plus, they didn't send me the extra napkins I had requested for.

Been to this place like soo many times , not a bad experience but not fond of their type of biryani, it's kinda Kerala style which doesn't go well with me but the chicken items r gud specially the tandoori items and the kababs , they have fish and prawn biryani will try it someday and write a review on that hope that's not like the chicken biryani which I had. All in all a gud place for some chicken.
Taste 3.8/5
Ambience 3/5
Service 3.5/5
Value for money 4/5

I went here for a quick lunch today since I was around for some SBI bank related work. I had their egg chicken roll and an avocado milkshake. The roll was lip-smackingly good - chicken tikka, some shredded salad, and an omelet rolled inside a fresh rumali roti - severed hot and fresh! The avocado milkshake was super creamy and had a chocolate sauce topping. I noticed many other customers were ordering biriyani and the Bangalore style fried kebabs. Will surely try ordering next time!

The service was really quick and the manager/cashier super friendly! An awesome place for real value for money delicious food.

Though this is not a fancy restaurant but they do serve good food. Must try in the list is chicken roll, tandoori chicken, Hyderabadi chicken gravy and chicken tikka. Though the veg is on an average side but they serve extremely tasty chicken dishes.

The best place to visit especially during the month end..... It's light on the pocket..... The best kebabs available anywhere close.... Been here on numerous occasions enjoy the food here everytime..... It's usually packed to full during the lunch time.....

The service, the rate and the taste is when combined together makes this place amazing to have food on the end of the month when you are low on budget, the butter chicken is actually good. The ambiance for that matters suits the price and in that locality a place like this truly needed :)
Sumanta110
Local place providing a great service. Food is quite good, have been ordering regularly for last few months and never got let down. Chicken pepperfry & hongkong chicken are dishes to try. Delivery is one of the pluses..they do accept food coupons too!
Hari Krishna
Had a veg biryani here . Taste and quantity is good and not much spicy.. Gobi 65 was crispy and good. A good hotel to try for best and low price...

This is one of the oldest place in Kormangla specially on 80ft road. My dinning experience has been mix type , taste of food varies a lot here. Quality has gone down lately.
Snehangshu Banerjee
Have ordered food here countless number of times...more so as they accept sodexos..coming to the point...the food here is okay..its cheap and quantity is good...I love their kabab...biryani is ok but honestly u can't call it a biryani...the breads that they prepare be it naan or rotis, taste good only if you have them there...if you order for home delivery I can say u will have a hard time to chew your food...however at low prices its a good option..hence the 3.5....

Mars Chicken Delight ... A weird funny name ain't it. But then you should go by the chicken delight. Not sure what Mars means. Ok !!! Well these guys have been my stop over take away place every single time. Their chicken starters are typically what I order and have always remained consistent and good. The tikka and kalmis by far have been the best.

Are they better than some of the other guys who have newly opened way down the road nope but they are still good and would keep stopping over :)
Rahul Prabhakar
A really good place for delivery's and the food is pocket friendly and the taste is good, the seating is not so good but good food none the less
Thejas Raghav
The food here is just tasty enough to keep my tummy happy. It's a neat, clean, small place that serves you with whatever kind of cuisine u choose ( as long as it's not exotic).

Ordered Ginger Chicken and chicken Biryani. Chicken biryani was good not that spicy. The portions were decent. Ginger chicken was sweet, bit disappointing. Service was bit delayed. Reasonable price.
Abhijit Deogharia
One of the best place which servers tasty Chicken delight. The food is awesome. i am a regular to this place. Kababs, Biryani, Chicken cury, Tandoori all are yummy and plus easy on our pocket. Dont go by the name- they do have some awesome veg dishes as well. The waiters are really friendly. I will definitely recommend this place.
Gopi Nath
A decent place with very cheap prices, biryani is not so tasty but i give 3 only because of the variety and tasteful starters..
Very rushy during weekends for all the tandoori items
Anwesh Sinha Ray
Best place to go if you have around 200 rupees and you want a great lunch. Their biriyani comes for just 100 rupees and is pretty tasty. I would suggest to try their kababs specially the Tandoori Kabab. The waiters serve pretty fast and they are very friendly and helpful. Ambience could have been better.

Im not sure if you are allowed to do this. But I'm anyway going ahead and doing it. I'm writing this review on behalf of my close friend, who is no more a resident of Bangalore.

She and me were house mates.
And this was the place she always used to go bonkers about. Actual Mars chicken used to provide her the staple food. Me being a veggie could not try out their food though.

This is one of the places I generally order in from on a lazy day. Their biriyanis are great and their tandoori chicken is delicious. And the food in this place is very affordable. I'd definitely suggest my friends to try out the biriyanis in this restaurant.
Cupcakesontravel
Though this is one of the oldest restaurants in this area... The quAlity of food has significantly gone below standards. The restaurant is not at all maintained and the waiters have really bad attitude problem. Only the biriyani is good and the tandoori items are yummy. Its better to take a parcel than sit and have there.

If you're in Koramangala and looking for a spicy and good quality food to order home, then don't look further. This is your option. Even the pricing is reasonable. All of their chicken dishes are worth trying out.
Sunil Kashikar
A no-nonsense and pocket friendly joint for a quick lunch!

Their Chicken preparations are quite delicious and service is fairly prompt!

I recommend it to all the office goers in the near by area!

Good food and very cheap. you get good biryani here tht also for 100 bucks. Non veg here is really good specially tandoori chicken and garlic chicken. Their chkn fried rice is really good and so is kalmi kabab. In veg they their alu gobi and panner mutter is great. Also try out their butter chicken and paneer. there are good but very thick and full of butter.
Overall place is good and cheap. The quality and Quantity both are great at the price. They don't have the pomp of other fancy places. I generally go for a take out there. I have never been disappointed.
Satish Navale
Not for ambiance and hospitality. Don't expect anything on that part. Just enjoy good quality chicken dishes and at the end you will feel value for money....
Geetika Dwidei
We went here for dinner have booked my table before. the place is very good, restro interior is quite attractive. especially veg dishes are very tasty. we move back again to taste the food.

It used to be known for good food. But now the quality has fallen down beyond imagination. Spices are half cooked, taste is pathetic and your stomach gets upset.. Avoid it

Cheap and best!! Good quality and good quantity! Yummy food!
Love the ghee rice here.

The name of the restaurant is the main reason I visited here. A narrow staircase will lead you to the restaurant. Small cozy place perfect for daily lunch. When I reached with my colleagues the place was empty. We ordered Tandoori Roti, veg and non-veg fried rice, chicken , egg bhujji, paneer and a fruit salad. Everything was pretty good. Specially chicken, not out of the world experience but extremely good considering the price. The bhujji and Paneer was great. I didn't like the Salad , they added sugar and the pieces were extremely small.

The place is nice for daily lunch.
Shantanu Chandra
Butter chicken a must have. Be careful though. They would get you full plate which serves 4. Specify half plate if so.
Gurooooo
Visited the place once only...ordered a chicken roll and chilli chicken...the roll was OK but chilli chicken was gud...
Sirushti Murugesan
Great prawns and chicken. The fried rice is good too

This was the first restaurant i tried when i moved to bangalore as it was right next to my place. It serves the usual food but it is tasty. Try the chicken rolls.

Me and couple of my colleagues often visit this joint when we are running low on cash (you know when) :)
I have tasted (Chicken, Egg, Veg) Fried rice, Veg is pretty bland and same as consuming steam rice. Apart from that I have tasted Chicken Biriyani, Egg Curries, Pudina Chicken among couple of other dishes. The quantity served is good, at times over filling. Pudina chicken was a good change, liked it.

Pros:
. Swwwift serving, it hardly takes them more than 10 minutes to serve food for two.
. Quantity.
. Great VFM

Cons:
. at times irregular quantity of spices are used.

Food - 3/5
Ambience - 2/5
VFM - 4/5
Service - 3/5

We went there on a weekday afternoon and this place seems to be swarming with Office-goers. At around quarter past one, this place was Jam packed.

The restaurant was in the first floor and had a seating capacity of 50-60. Only a couple of servers I guess and the service was damn slow. Going by the restaurants name, we started off with some Chicken starters (Garlic chicken) and to our dismay the starter was in a semi-liquid state contradicting the menu. Though the semi-gravy starter (which they used to call it) was oily, it tasted delicious.

We ordered Butter chicken, Green Peas masala for the rotis and naans. We had a hard time cutting/eating the rotis and naans (had to chew very hard!) The side dishes were average and as I said too much oil in it but it was edible. A few of my friends ordered biryanis and it tasted totally different (Weird I suppose). In addition to that the chicken was too hard. My friends hand turned yellow after completing the biryani (OMG!)

This place is a definite value for money and thats why it is frequented by Office goers I guess. Overall, a decent restaurant at a decent price.

Food - 3/5
Ambience - 2/5
VFM - 4/5
Service - 2/5

Tip: Beware of Chicken Rolls.
Jayant Dalmia (PuchkaToPizza)
Great value-for-money but shoddy service.

Nobody among the 3 servers running around the place bothered to hand us the menus until we asked for them after some 5 minutes. That too, the guy just throws the menu on our table.

Then we were informed that they had stopped the tandoor so no naans, tandoori rotis, etc and just rumali rotis (it was around 3pm and customers were still pouring in so I dont see the logic in that).

Gobi 65 for starters was decent. The kadai paneer too was good. My non-vegetarian friends too liked their pudina chicken and kalmi kebab. I was scared that the roomali rotis would turn rubbery after a while but thankfully that didn't happen.

It is the kind of restaurant which is great for the people working in the nearby offices for a tasty and cheap weekday lunch but can be skipped by people looking for something more than that.

Well mars accepts sudexo is a decent place to order from. Decent taste in chicken, however they really need to learn how to cook other dishes.
Biryani is a strict no! It is nothing but rice and meat/egg in a state of divorce.
Earlier the phulkas used to be decent, but of late they have stopped making them.
If you have to order rotis, i would suggest order butter rotis, the normal rotis here are like used leather slippers dried in the sun.
The dal fry and mix veg curry are safe bets.
Ankusaurus
Well, Mars is a delight only for chicken! Veg being a bit boring. Food is not great but it is good. The manager who takes call for home deliveries is a bit rude though..
Go to Mars for their Butter chicken, Tandoori chicken.
Gobi Manchurian is also good. Biryani is average.
Service gets a bit slower at times.
Overall, an average restaurant providing quality food for an average price..
