A nice place to spend time with friends, staff are really caring and help you decide good food to go along with the drinks. A nice experience to spend near the balcony and experience nice breeze with a view of the outer ring road

We had a good office party there. It's a good place to have a couple of beers along with some good food with bills not exceeding your budget. They had 1+1 Beer offer which helped a bit. The chairs and tables are made of wood so don't expect a comfy seat. The only negative feed back was with one particular order where the food seemed to be spoiled and we informed the same.

One of our favorite places to meet up after long time and eat and drink without any worry about the price. This place is not very expensive. Staffs are nice. Love the food here. You will find all the kababs, tandooris, snacks, etc that you expect to go good with your spirit. Love being here with my old time friends.

Food quality is good. Need to change the steel chair, not comfortable to sit. Baby chair also in steel. Children's feeling very. Need some improvement overall. Mosquito also flying around us

Ambience ok, a bit dusty at places since is terrace resultant. Food was fine. We ordered starters. Service was good with polite servers.

Generater facility is available. Customer service is from local guys, who need respect while interacting.. Roof top is for 30+ k salaried guys. There are two particion in basement, 1. Stand and drink and another 2, sit and drink. Who wish to stand and have fun is a self service. Who wish to sit and drink(outsiders) i suggest you roof top. Localities i recommend basement part 2.

Good varieties in Non-Veg starters and main course. Servicing is a bit slow but TV and music will keep you busy till food arrives. Parking space available.

The ambiance of this place is off the roof. Food is excellent and the music which surrounds you really gives you chills. The service of this place is very good. Ranjan has been very kind and gave a good service. If in HSR and want to have a chill time with the gang, this place is the best.

The place is near my office so one of the more popular options but honestly this place is really good. The alcohol options are good, most days have offers, their chicken mangolian dry are awesome and ambience is really nice.

Don't forget to try their Tandoori chicken chicken. It's simply awesome. Ambience is also nice and the food is value for money. Perfect place for family/friends outing.

Do not order from here. Worst service. They dont know how to provide service to customers. Cancelled the order after an hour and even accepting the order. They cancelled the order after 11.30 stating no equipments to cook the food and leaving me to suffer in hunger for the whole night since almost all restaurants are closed.

Extremely expensive for the standard. Very average standard restaurant, but highly expensive for no reason. More expensive than some of the poshiest pubs, discs and lounges of Bangalore.

We visited the pub A-Bar adjacent to Aranya. It's a very nice place for weekend get together. We liked the new makeover of the pub, especially the ceiling which gives the feel of sky. Food was very good, service was excellent, and ambience was superb. If they could serve the food a little bit faster that would be lovely. I sincerely recommend this place for a wonderful roof top dining experience.

A wonderful place for hanging around. We visited their A-BAR pub the other day, service was fantastic, and the food was really delicious. Guys I recommend you to try their Tandoori items. Good music, nice people, great food and above all value for money. When most pubs Bangalore are charging us so heavyly, it's worth a try here.

This has been my most frequently visited place when I stayed in HSR. The food is delicious and has never disappointed in any way, the service is good but a little slow comparing that the place is never crowded. The wooden seating is great and ambience is beautiful.

Aranya was at one point of time was known for its chicken starters. We visited the place tonight after a long time and were surprised to see the empty tables. The standard of food has gone down considerably and service was very average. I will surely not visit the place again not would recommend to anyone.

The wooden sit out on a perfect evening with the delicacy of food and the super service makes a perfect dinner.<br/>Perfectly roasted baby corn Manchurian with the louring green chutney. Ah! I love this place just for its Mirchi Kababs they are lipsmacking and red hot. Decent ambience with good service. Overall food quality is also good. It's a bit on the costlier side considering everything which I am getting on my table.

It was late in the night and was happy to see a Roof Top restaurant  when all other restaurants were closed. Isn't a family restaurant as mentioned. I didn't like the ambiance as it was in very dull light, people drink and smoke on their seat. Mosquitoes bite. Ordered fish tikka which was tasty and spicy. Service wasn't great.

I had newly moved to Bangalore and was looking for a decent dining option for dinner around Silk board area. We were in the service lane near Teachers colony and saw this restaurant and thought to give it a try.<br/><br/>Their is a bar maintained at the ground floor and initially we were confused if there was any exclusive family restaurant. But finally we were guided to the rooftop dining space.<br/><br/>Well, nothing much to say about the ambience, there was even a kids play zone; but with plants all around I managed to dodge a few mosquitoes hovering around me. So that's that.<br/><br/>For starters we had chicken tikka. The tikka was tenderly cooked and tasted ok. For mains, we had murg makhani with butter naan and veg biryani. Murg makhani was tasty but the veg biryani was not very impressive. I needed a soft drink to wash it down.<br/><br/>The staff were polite though I felt they could be more involved. But my overall experience was nothing that I can talk of.

Pluses:<br/>1. Wide variety in Menu: you get everything here, Chinese, North Indian, Tandoor, Starters. Huge menu and they do a good job of everything.<br/><br/>2. Good place for a few drinks with friends: Its he ideal place for a few beers with friends over some starters. Have visited this place several times.<br/><br/>3. Ambience: Its got a rustic ambience. Greenery, with terrace and indoor seating. <br/><br/>4. Price: reasonable, for the quality and quantity of food served.<br/><br/>5. Service: quick efficient.<br/><br/>Minuses:<br/><br/>1. A tiny place located on the rooftop in HSR. The whole place is done in an eco friendly way. Very rustic interiors and simply done up place. We ordered dal khichdi and paneer tikka as we were looking for a simple meal. Both things were good and buttermilk too. This place is definitely good for value for money. Wish we could see more family crowd patronizing this place.

I have been here on a Sunday night, but to my surprise, this place was quite vacant beside the occasional people dining and a team out on a team-dinner sort of. We ordered Fish fingers and Chicken lollipop, but the food was average. The service here is slow and many items in the menu were not available. Only three items were available for desert on that day - Gulab jamun, Gajar Ka Halwa and Ice cream. We ordered Gajar Ka Halwa and it was amazing, hot and sweet.

This place became a regular Delivery outlet during office days for us. Again I do find it awkward why this place is rated so average and I hope they pick up good. Obviously they do not look a family dining outlet. <br/>Ordered Ajwaini Fish, Bhuna Mutton, Reshmi Kebab, and few other gravies and never been disappointed with the taste.

It is a nice decent roof top place.I had gone to this place with my office colleagues in the evening for a few drinks, and we actually liked the place. The ambiance is decent, food was nice and the prices where also Ok. Since it is a open roof top place people were allowed to smoke. Make sure that you don't go in a hot afternoon because it might be difficult to enjoy your lunch due to noon heat.

Food is good across all varieties of Starters. Kababs are great here. The main attraction is rooftop and ambiance. Prices are a bit high on the bar menu. But still I am fan of this place as food is great.

Trying hard to follow our resolve of “no eating out on weekdays”,  we finally gave up yesterday, and decided to order in. Both of us decided on north indian, and settled upon Aaranya. It had been a while since we ordered from this restaurant. We used to order frequently from this place earlier, or rather this was probably the only north indian delivery place. But after getting many more options on zomato delivery, we had slowly drifted away from Aaranya. Surprisingly, I have never visited this place personally.

I have never visited this place personally, but been ordering for home delivery for a while now.<br/>Their menu has a good variety of dishes, both north indian and chinese. I have tried chinese only once I suppose, and it was alright. You can't really expect much from desi chinese.<br/><br/>North indian dishes are decent, not very oily/spicy and not heavy on the stomach as well as pocket :) <br/><br/>Our usual order consists of tomato soup, paneer makhni, malai kofta/palak corn, sometimes a chicken gravy and assorted breads.<br/>I love their tomato soup, though it's a little on the sweeter side. Paneer is also good, but don't expect any gourmet dishes.<br/>Stay away from their pulao/biryanis, had tried them a couple of times and regretted later.<br/><br/>Deliveries never take long from this place, which is another plus.

One of the oldest places in HSR-Silk Board area, it's one of our common lunch haunts. We rarely made it past the starters, the kababs and tandoors are pretty good. Pricing is alright, not really a cheap place, and even the semi open air seating is quite nice, old school.  Better to order in, but a dependable place on most counts!

Been to this place many times as its one of those which is quite nearby for most of the friends in my group. Climbing stairs to reach the spot will burn some of your calories for sure. Like the KF and Tuborg over here. Although didnt enjoy the main course their starters like manchrians and raja special are quite good. Comparitively lighter on the pocket as well.

Went there for a team dinner. We were a group of 12 (all men) on a Friday evening.  It was a booze + food outing.  The ambeince was good. The food was above average. The mushroom starter was the best. Non-veg straters was also equally good.The pricing is normal. Everyone had close to 8 pegs, with lavish starters and main course. The entire bill came to around 16K. Last time we had a team dinner in a restaurant in Kormangala, it was the same 12 folks, but the bill came around 32K, when compared to that, this one was far better in all terms (taste + ambience + service). The only negetive that we found was that there was a delay in serving the food, but it was a Friday night, so that can be appologized. <br/><br/>Something that I have noticed off-late,in  all the resutarants is that they say they have internet, but you ask them there Wi-Fi password. Had ordered from this place on last Sunday night. Kept it simple with a Non veg platter(It had reshmi kababs, sikh kababs, tandoori and something else chickeny i couldn't identify!) . For the main course, chilly chicken and fried rice, and a mutton bhuna with kulchas.<br/><br/>I don't think, any one could say this was a complex order, or maybe a acquired taste kind of food, cz these are daily order types food, only the holy Lord knows, how anyone could like, Royally screw up this one.<br/><br/>The chicken and the mutton came DRY, CHEWY, and UNDERCOOKED. oh I forgot, TASTELESS too!<br/><br/>Only saviour was the reshmi kababs in the non veg platter, yes that came with an ususually good green chutney!<br/>Thats it!<br/><br/>VFM:3/5<br/>Food: 2.5/5 (0.5 for the kabab)<br/><br/>Not recommended!

Delivery is quick. I get the order within 30 minutes. The restaurant has a wide variety of items to choose from. My favorite items would be Aaranya special veg curry and aaranya special fried rice. The vegetarian items I have tried so far were fabulous. Overall the food is average. Although the price is too high, I am happy with the quick delivery. The food is packed nicely and is also hot when delivered.

Rooftop restaurant .airy.good service.portions are large.chicken soup was tasty but with very few corns..Punjabi murgh was delicious with naan.chicken biryani was not very flavourful but portion was large accompanied with raitha.

The food is just satisfactory but the prices are very high not worth the money if the prices are reduced then i can rate this place at 4.....

Couple of starters were good and rest of what followed was not at all tasty!<br/>Drinks - Ordered Fosters beer and what was served didn't really tasted like regular Fosters beer. Carlsberg & Heineken was available in 650 ml bottle (1 good thing) but overall all beer was very highly priced for the very average ambience of the place.<br/>Restrooms were smelly & not so clean!<br/>Overall a bad first experience& hopefully I wud avoid visiting this place again!

Used to be a nice place when I first moved to HSR 11 yrs back , now they serve Counterfeit drinks , ask for Bacardi and u may end up with some cheap gin . food is just OK .

I happened to go this place accidentally although I stayed near to this place. This restaurant is at the top floor which adds to the ambiance. This also makes the place hot in the day time. The food over here was good. We ordered a veg pulao and few vegetarian dishes and were good. <br/>The serving was fast although the staffs were not attending enough. <br/>The price is decent enough and will not go heavy on your pocket. <br/><br/>This review is based on vegetarian items only. The ambience is a lot like coconut groove but not properly maintained. Since it is close to my house and I was craving for Indian food I thought of trying here. I ordered tandoori chicken half, dum aloo kashmiri and dal palak to be served with tandoori roti. They took half an hour to give us the order but the taste was good. Overall its good except what you find in all reviews that it is expensive for the quality and quantity.

Ordered chicken wings in hot garlic sauce and chicken biryani on a Saturday night. The order seemed to take forever to be delivered and landed up only around 11.30. Definitely overpriced, chicken wings were undercooked and smelly, sauce was too sweet. biryani was OK and chicken pieces were hard to chew. Probably has been overated because of rooftop and lack good restaurants around. But it was a big let down.

If you're tired of the traffic at Silk Board and want to relax ,enjoy roof top with decent food, then Aaranya won't disappoint you. Resto-Bar has seen tremendous chnages in the city but this place still holds its originality. <br/>While ordering food, you must go for the regular names, anything fancy can really disappoint you. Kalmi Kebab is a must try. Paneer satte was good. Main course spreas is average and we tried Aaranya Special in Veg.. it was good. <br/>Lazy evening if you want to catch up with few friends who stay nearby then you won't find it bad. For food and service it must get 3.5 bt other criterias won't give it an overall rating of more than 3.

My chicken lover friend always brings me here and I have been visiting this place since 2010. <br/>Decent food and good portions. Rooftop option helps but has limited to no view to enjoy. Do try their malai kofta.

Edited my review : always used to like this place but today my experience was literally bad with the service and quality of food they served!<br/>We ordered Shanghai Chicken, when it arrived our table, it was not even hot, min expectation is dish should be served hot, we asked waiter to take it back, to our bad experience, they mixed the quantities from our left over (which they took back) and gave it back - which was again not hot !! We got pissed off! Manager gave one complimentary chicken malai tikka, was better.<br/><br/>We too ordered biryani, which was waste! We wouldnt have ordered, crap taste!<br/><br/>Drinks were ok as usual. Reducing rating from 5 to 1.5 for today's exp.

Tried the roof top restaurant in Aaranya on one Friday evening with colleagues. It is a cool place for hangout. Food was so unbelievably yummy. Service was great. All the items are pretty reasonably priced. I would love to come back here again.

Aaranya is normally the place where we order from whenever my husband & I have a craving for Tandoori Chicken, which is almost every alternate Saturdays ! The Tandoori pieces are juicy with absolutely delicious masala, which is just finger licking good! Kalmi Kabab is also very tasty although they just give 2 pieces of the same. The other dishes like Murg Makhani, Dal Tadka are all very average, with nothing exceptional to talk about. I don't know why people have given less rating to this place. Food is awesome in quality and quantity. Most important thing each and every dish has a very distinguishable taste. Perfectly cooked , neither under cooked nor over cooked. Now coming to ambience its good all together.

Gud fud. Great interiors. Mast ambience. But giving it only a 3.5 because I didn't get to have my fav mutton biryani. It was not available though menu had it and I felt it to be overpriced... I would have given it a 4 had it not been for the prices which were a tad expensive for the taste. Overall had a good experience....

We had gone for a team lunch. Had ordered roti, veg curries and biryani. The food was tasty, we were satisfied, though the prices were a bit high, but I guess thats dine, considering the ambience. But the service could have been much better. The waiter seemed not at all interested in serving the customers.  And, they charged us 80/- for two 1L Kinley water bottles, which we felt is simply outrageous. And when asked about it, he didn't have a very convincing argument.

Big Space child friendly but apart from all this food was not good.<br/>I tried Fish biryani and that was below the water mark . The fish they have served has not coating of spice and all and fish was not marinated properly. Seems like they have common biryani rice and they have added Fish in this . Very pathetic.

Ambience good, food taste good.<br/>But price is not justifying the quantity, water they provide is very odd in taste.<br/>Though in spite of unjustified cost and bad quality water we had some great food and time.<br/>Might not go nexy time if they dont justify quantity with price.

Way too expensive for our liking. Tandoori chicken is priced at 500 bucks. I would prefer other restaurants which offer those dishes at a cheaper rate and at the same quality. But having said that their special veg curry is a delight and is a must try. Ambiance is too good.

I went with my friend for lunch on Monday 05/01/2015. The prices are very high and the quality of the food is not at all good. We ordered two chicken biryani and the cost for one biryani is 255+vat. Even the prices are high we thought to give a try and though the food might be tasty. We are very disappointed ???? the chicken ???? served is not good and that is not called chicken biryani at all. The restaurant is very spacious and looks good but the food is very worst. I never go again.

Well, quality is definitely deteriorating. Have been coming to this restaurant since 2010 and so far been there 5 times, in different occasion and different times of the year with different companies. But, yes, it is not the same as of the last times' visits.<br/><br/>Food:<br/>Taste wise utterly average, which is not expected from Aranya. We ordered Cream of chicken soup. Visibly, chicken pieces were added later to the soups and was disappointed to see that some of the pieces were stale.<br/>Though, Goan fish curry was OK taste wise, fish pieces were hard.<br/><br/>Service:<br/>Was again, average. Come here on an evening and have some liquor on the rooftop restaurant, you will cherish the memory.<br/>This restaurant does not have a lift to reach the lovely roof top situated at 2nd floor. It is accessible through dingy and dark narrow stairs with very stiff steps. For elderly people, it definitely becomes a headache. <br/>I would request them to clean their cutlery a little bit. Example: The plastic made white soup bowls had stains on them.<br/>They do not have their own parking and the service road in front of it is a no parking zone. Hence, try your luck.<br/><br/>Conclusion:<br/>When food is not highly priced, it is not very cheap either. There are lots of restaurants around having better food and service. But, rooftop restaurant and alcohol combo is worth a try.

Had been to this place after a exhausted word day with a friend with no mood. Surprisingly the food and the ambience both were great. It will be a sure visit place from my end.

Been at Aaranya, HSR layout, innumerable times. Probably this is the restaurant I have visited the most in Bangalore owing to two reasons. First it used to be best family bar and restaurant (that tag has been taken away by Mish Mash now) near HSR Layout. Second it is an open air restaurant with dim lights and no music whatsoever which gives me the liberty of smoking, drinking, eating and chit-chatting, all at the same time. Pros: Prompt service, tasty food, great starters. Cons: No cocktails served. Tip: Do try the non-veg platter.

This wud b the place I will go if I want to gulp some down nearby. Slightly overpriced for the ambience and quality they offer, but the environment is quite like a forest with lots of plants. The food, service and staff are average, nothing to complain about though. Considering it does not have AC the prices can be a lil more reasonable, but the place abuzz in the weekends, so I guess others find it ok.

It's a nice affordable rooftop with amazing food. They have a friendly staff with amazing service. I tried their veg food and it was amazing... We went there after a tiring day and were completely satisfied.

I visited this place with a group of friends as suggested by one of them. First of all I was wondering why it is named as aranya and I was expecting the theme to justify the same, but got dissapointed as I entered the restaurant, its a poorly lit up place like a usual bar, the only factor related was wooden table which was comfortable. The food was good but not excellent, got to carefull in choosing the sides as some are really bad, we ordered malai kofta which was like a sweet kheer, not too pricy, staff were gud but not best. This place cam be really improved in all aspects. Gud to visit once. Nothing great to appriciate about.

Have visited this place multiple times however the standard has declined severely. The chicken pieces per plate can be counted. Today my Kadai chicken had 3 pieces in it which will not weigh more than 10 grams. They serve boneless so that the chicken is not visible in the onions and capsicum pieces. When I showed the same to the manager he offered to change it though but the sheer experience was very poor.

Roof top restaurant.<br/>Reservation recommended to get good view table.Food is good and not quite expensive as compared to other restaurants.Location is quite good as it is very near to the central silk board.<br/>We ordered 4 beer and one non veg starter and one veg gravy and some naan in main course for three persons and it costs us around 1600.<br/>

Located very close to silkboard opp to fern hill apartments this is one of the oldest restaurant in this locality. Parking is not a hassle on the service road or the koramangala teachers colony by lanes. <br/>The menu is mostly andhra style with the regular north indian tandoori and Chinese fare. The items on the menu are decently priced. The restaurant went through couple of renovations. The parcel section is popular and they have a separate section for that. <br/>A decent option to hang around with friends and relish some spicy fare over drinks and not a bad option to visit with family.

The best one to go and have great food....i liked the atmosphere and the look and feel and with zomato it was actually great to find the location...

Went there for quick lunch but tempting non veg dishes made me to have more. All the dishes were really great and ambience was pretty good. Very cool seating arrangement and of course liked plantation a lot. I don't know why such a good place was almost empty during lunch time. Staff was good. But little disappointed today I saw they change their logo and name board. I liked the name on leaf. Well it was great visit. Will go there again.

I would give a good rating for the food here. The flavours are perfect for the dishes we ordered. The hara bhara kebab is what I dont want to miss here. However I would not recommend this restaurant to any non smokers on weekdays. <br/>ON WEEK DAYS THEY DO NOT HAVE A NON SMOKING ZONE. Basically the family area is non functioning on weekdays (Except friday). <br/><br/>Had to simply walk out of the restaurant because I was with my family (with 3 yr old kid) and they refused to let us into the non smoking area. Having said that I have been there on a weekend and their food tastes pretty good. <br/>I just wish they have a functioning non smoking area all the time. Did I mention second hand smoke smells terrible. Doesn't go well with the hera bhara kebab :).

Aranya is an ideal place if you are looking forward to gulp some drinks with some yummy sides. Please don't expect any shooter's or cocktail's.<br/><br/>And one of the more over priced restaurants just because it's in HSR Layout. Place has a good decor, the terrace is more of a place where you would hang out with friends for drinks.<br/><br/>However, the ambiance would not make you feel that you are being ripped off. It's an regular place, so I leave it to you guys whether you want to visit this place or not.

Quite an impressive ambience, its open and airy if you sit at the roof top... it also has little play area for kids... its starters are the only thing which you can think of trying, I personally didn't liked main course, nothing special... go here for ambience if you want to....

Had some good rotis and curry in a nice ambiance. Can do with a bit if upkeep.

Alright! This review has been delayed by 3 months already. Might as well get it done as experiences untold are like boulders tying me down. <br/>I usually do not land in this part of the city considering the number of unexplored options that I already have my hands full with in other areas but sometimes circumstances work against you even if you try with all your might and believe you me I tried so hard yet failed miserably so here I am penning it down for those of you who do not know about this particular place.<br/><br/>Located 250 meters from the Silkboard junction . Located on the left side on a side lane. Considering the people that I had for company , I was with expecting a decent place inspite of a Zomato rating of 3.0 which seems to have gone up in 3 months. <br/>A flight of stairs led us to a terrace seating and my concerns reduced a tad bit because considering the first impression of the place what was in front of me was visually more appealing.The place had a whole lot of potted plants which was a plus.<br/>A dim lit place which seemed to be constructed eons back as it did have resemblance to the sort of place that seemed to be a popular in the early 2000's or the late 90's .Just when all these thoughts were racing in my mind ,one in the group mentioned on how this was his favorite spot to drink back in the days . The shortfalls were that the place is not cleaned on a regular basis I can tell , I spotted soiled tissue papers where there were plants. A whole lot of mosquitoes unleashed havoc for the lot of us. The restrooms were extremely dirty.<br/><br/>The menu is very expansive. Being a veg day for me , I skimmed though the veg options while the others placed order for the Non veg dishes.<br/>For starters we chose the : Murgh Kalmi Kabab ,Peshawari Kabab and Chilli Crispy Baby corn.<br/>I cant get myself to remember the non veg dishes that were ordered for the main course but I can never forget the VEG dishes as the experience was as below.<br/>The Veg starter was a complete fail. The batter outside was not crisp. It was soggy. There was no flavor.The carnivores on the table seemed to enjoy their ordeal but did mention that Peshawari Kaabab scaled higher in the satis-facto-meter than the former.<br/><br/>For the maincourse I ordered One Butter Naan and a Phulka alongisde Palak kofta curry. I am fan of green leafy vegetables.Koftas always have me satisfied . Both these reasons put together seemed like a good decision.<br/>Boy Oh Boy! Was I wrong. Huge blobs of Panneer and Palak plonked into a gravy which was like a sea of cream was put in front of me. This is not with regard to how it appealed to me visually but on how it tasted.<br/>I managed to somehow consume the Naan . The Naan and the Phulka was failrly done but one just cannot get over the horrific gravy .<br/>The carnivores seemed joyous over the meal. Probably a haven for Non Vegeterians and a hell for Vegeterians.<br/><br/>The service was exceptional NOT. The staff seemed dazed. Presumably they seemed shocked at having a woman come in with a group of men considering the other tables were occupied a group of men who were drinking or singletons who were doing the same. This heightened my uncomfort for obvious reasons.The food was brought in with a delay of 45 minutes .One particular order was even forgotten and later cancelled by us as the rotis had gone cold.<br/><br/>The pricing is very high considering the quantity served is less.I did not taste the Non veg but the number of pieces that I spotted in their gravy was less. The entire meal cost around 3.5 K . Exorbitant for the quality and the quantity.<br/><br/>This place could have been upbeat a few years back but now with the multitude of restaurants filling every nook and corner of the city . They just cant afford to be so mediocre . The people working there seemed to have lost interest in the hotel business and the customer delighting experience considering they anyway have a particular clientele who come to them for aid.<br/><br/>Ambience: 2.5<br/>Food: 2<br/>Service: 2<br/><br/>I do not recommend!! If you still want to go do reflect on your decision.

Visited here after good 3-4 years. Things have changed for me. Now I look for a place from family perspective than that time bachelor :D. <br/>Yes this place is pretty much same, except that they have close section on the ground floor, however, roof top is still operational. Although it is roof-top rstaurant, they have maintained good low-lights that adds to the rustic appearance. Nice wooden table-chairs add to the brown look. I alway opt for those round tables on side.<br/>Bar is good and not at all costly, as they run wine-shop in the buidling basement. It attracts a decent crowd. I guess on week-ends this place will be judged well. I saw couple of families, may be from near-by HSR layout.<br/>Starters were good, purhaps less oil would have made it better. They have variety of veg starters too. Well Chicken hariyali, chilli checken were our cliched picks.<br/>We only ordered murgh hydrabadi and roti for main course, and as promised it was bit spicy and good.<br/><br/>Food : 3/5<br/>Price : 600 (for 2)<br/>Ambience : 3/5 (only if you like those dim lights, looks good for dinner) Roof-top only.<br/>Value for money : 3/5

Location: Hardly 5 mins from Silkboard, it is located on the main road and right in front of the bus stop which makes it easily accessible though parking may be a problem for the same reason.<br/><br/>Ambiance: The rooftop seating arrangement adds an edge to this place besides the heavy plantation which makes it look like a hanging garden from a distance. On certain nights they have candle light dinners which may make it a lil awkward for fiends :D Overall, the environment is cozy and likable. Smoking is allowed in the dining area and the place is overflowing with drinks. So, basically you can have solid, liquid and aerial diet all at once ;)<br/><br/>Food: The food is typically Indian and tasty. I randomly ordered and most of the items met my expectations.<br/>Diced Chicken chilly in coriander sauce was brilliant. Corn chicken soup was also liked by the soup lovers. Paneer Makhani was again really good. Paneer tikka masala is also a safe bet and so is the hara bhara kebab.<br/><br/>Shining star: Has to be the cold coffee without ice cream. It was well flavored and evenly mixed.<br/>Fading star: Chicken Reshmi Kebab did not really slip down my throat. Not good. Just okay. Mirchi Kebab is not really mirchila and Murgh Lahori was nothing to brag about.<br/><br/>Suggestion: The service is too slow even if there is not too much crowd. Had to wait 20 mins for the food to come. Even the cold coffee wasn't brought till then. So, please buck up. Place seems to be hot favourite for people who want to drink rather than people who want to eat. Place seems good with prompt service & good ambience. The food is also okay to try sometime. It has a very good location at a junction so is very popular around the area.

Tried a bunch of starters here:<br/><br/>1. Tandoori chicken - 5/5. Very well cooked with appropriate coating of spices and masala.<br/>2. Mutton Seekh Kebab - 3/5. Not something to boast of but yes it was very soft so we finished it off<br/>3. Kalmi Kebab - 4/5. Again well cooked with just the proper marination.<br/><br/>Drinks are cheap when compared to other restros serving liquor. They are served neatly and as good as any other joint.<br/><br/>The staff was very prompt and cordial. I was happy with the service and quality of food. They mistakenly forgot to charge me for Kalmi kebabs. Since their service was commendable, I was happy to point this out.<br/><br/>The crowd ranges from full families to youngsters there for tandoori items.<br/><br/>Overall, a good evening.

This place was the only place , well almost the only one in HSR a few years back . So I used to hang out here a lot . But now since you have a lot of other options around in the area , this one needs to improve a lot . <br/><br/>Ambiance : it's roof top , open , it's good when there is nice weather and you get the seat near the railings , but if that's not the case then the place might get really uncomfortable . Lunch times in summers can be bad at this place . <br/><br/>Food : it's just ok , nothing to boast about . I found curry leaves in almost all vegetables which is a disappointment when you are not from south . And I don't think that the food is value for money . Because they charge more for really less quantity and quality . <br/><br/>I would not recommend this place of you haven't tried anything else around .but would be a good place up hang out when the weather is nice .

I happened to order food from an online portal. The order which came online was 370 Rupees but the restaurant came up with a bill of 443. Now, before I confuse you, let me tell you what a cheap fraud had come to deliver my food. I paid him 370 (300 + 50 + 20) and then I called up that online portal in order to ask a reason for the difference in price. I was busy on call and gave him 110 bucks extra and he gave me back 7 and stole 50 away! Now, who will agree to this when it is done intentionally. I called up the restaurant about the same but they said they can't really help. I did not get my currency back, but I have a very bad feeling about them when in my first order itself I had to face so much trouble. It is completely my experience. May be you will not have to undergo the same. But, I thought it would be a good idea to let you know that such a thing might also happen to you. So, be careful while ordering from them. I am sure, one such negative comment will lead to a loss of too many 100's. My 50 was nothing, but this review is worth much more.

when i first saw the reviews i had second thoughts. but on going there i liked the place.. the roof top had a nice ambiance. Food is both good and not too expensive. service can be improved a little. Must try is the Egg chilly.

Food is just ok ok but it's too expensive for the quantity we get. I used to visit here since in HSR area this restaurant was the only option I found.

The restaurant has quite good ambience..Roof top... We have had many office parties here, but if you are a family man, you won't find it suitable... Food is very expensive for the quantity offered.
