Review Tandooriwala - Bengaluru

Pavitha
This restaraunt in located in 2nd floor. The interior is quite simple and compact. They have variety of option in veg and non veg. The foid is also worth the price. The chivken dum briyani is a best option to have . A good place for family and friends to have lunch and dinner

Ambiance is ok but the food is good. It's self service there though. The Fish thali was very nice and the fish tikka very tasty the chicken fried rice was placed with pepper and was tasty in it's own indian desi style. The staff were courteous and helpful.
Jigmet Namgial
Food was good but not expected self service and for drinking water we have to use same glass which other used before, need little improvement
kavin paulson
Great service and food. The lady at the counter was really helpful and polite. Enjoyed the whole experience. Keep it up! Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant. The seating is limited. Self service. Food quality is good.

Prices are fare enough. People who prefer less spicy food will like it.quantity is also gud. I have tried veg thali here.

Great place for chicken. Very tasty and worth the price.

Good food. Enjoy eating out everytime

We decided to go mainstream and tried having garlic naan and paneer butter masala. We were speechless. It tasted so good to believe. We would definitely recommend this place if you are running out of options in gopalan mall.

I know#Tandoriwala from last 2 yars, but today is the first time test the food. Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really decent food and at affordable prices. Will be back. “ “What a lovely restaurant, good food specially Tandori , service and atmosphere, definitely hope to go back again. #ata , & Rubayet Bismillah chicken 🐔

Decent place to get some punjabi food. It's a small open restaurant that serves veg as well as non-veg food and you can happily rest your feet and fill your tummy with good food after a bout of shopping. When you are at gopalan mall, I would suggest going here than to the food court at the top floor.

If you wanna have the best Punjabi delicacy at affordable price, go to Tandooriwala. Very tasty food, quick service and very economical. Try their dum biriyani, one of the best biriyani ever! But this place is like a fast food joint kind. Not a typical restaurant. Good for quick bite while in the shopping complex. Liquior is not server as this is not a Bar.
Ajinkya Kothawale
Food was ok, nothing really special about this place, lassi was the saviour. Self service and pay first is best suited for food courts and not for such restaurants
Atul
The food is nice. The dal tadka was tasty and the quantity was sufficient for one person.
Navneet Varshney
This is the BEST food around. Name justifies as awesome Tandoori food. We have tried almost all the dishes and all are just amazing. Keep it up guys!!!!

Not worth it!!

The food does not have a good taste and nothing unique about the ambience. We ordered butter naans which turned chewy within 5 minutes. Chicken amrtisari was of no good too.

Have been there often and never disappointed with their food. Self serving place. Known for their north indian and tandoori food items. We find this place a value for money and the quality and quantity is consistent.
Pradhyum Puttanna Gowda
The place is poorly managed. Quality of food is well below average. The marinaded chicken has been left to dry till it becomes stale. Hygiene is also poor.

Ambience :1
Service : self service
Food : 1

If you are really hungry and have no other place to go, then you can go to Tandooriwala. Nothing special about the ambience , the cools seem a little disgruntle and it gets reflects in the food. Food is ok ... almost like a beginners cooking skills. The kitchen doesn't look clean or the utensils the food is served in.

The worst restaurant I ever visited. The most arrogant servers ever. They made us wait for 30 mins and when asked why it was taking so much time, the guy behind the counter shouted at us. WTF. We paid the money and he was treating us like we came there for charity. Never ever coming back to this place. FYI - the food sucks too
Kishor Keerthi
Worst food ever. Tasteless and horrible food tasted ever. Even after paying high price we ate horrible food. Shd be negative 5 star. Please don't go here.
Gokul Rangarajan
Decent place , average ambience and go of u r fan of dal Makhini , you can’t find better of the fish around in CVS Raman Nagar , specifying you want it the punjabi way will
Get you better dishes
Swavi Singh
Food here is just okay. We ordered tandoori roti and kadhai paneer. Tandoori roti did even taste like tandoori roti as it was very very chewy like a rubber. Paneer was also just okay.
Thoufeeka
Good for rotis and kebabs.. Will not recommend biriyani as I could merely taste some tomato rice mixed up with meat and gravy.. Can try here once.. Will not recommend going again..

We especially walked into the Mall to have lunch at the restaurant. The ambiance is basic but good enough for a restaurant in a mall.

Service: Pre-paid, Self service. The good thing is that they have a token number display so you don't have to stand and wait at the counter.

Food: We ordered different thalis. I opted for the Fish thali. Honestly I did not expect the thali to have all three dishes to have fish. The food was "very average" . While the papad was soft the gulab jamun was hard. I would have personally preferred stemed rice to biryani pulao with fish curry.

The kitchen uses too much colour in the green chutney and chicken gravy.

Price: Not value for money @ 390 for a fish thali.
Shanideep Tewari
Food: Just below average and less in quantity.
Options: Limited
Seating: Uncomfortable
Ambience: Does not exist
Pricing: Close to Copper Chimney

Biggest disappointment comes with the name. Tandoori items are not good at all.
Avi Chakraborty
Probably the worst biriyani I ever had... Having This biriyani felt like a torture.. And charging 300 bucks for this shit... Never coming again. Please don't call this a hyderabadi biriyani, it's an insult..
Preetham Shetty
Been here only once and that was the last time I have visited
The food here is OK but not much great but the price is too much not worth for the food they give
Service is poor
But as per I have ordered only one dish was great so 3/5
One must try baby corn Tikka only this dish is great
Food 3/5
Service 3/5
Ambiance 4.5/5
Mohit Kumar
worst food shop in bangalore even street food is fresh better than their food . it's should shut down they are just looting money.never go there ,they are charging 50 rupee for one roti.
Pranaya
We can say a place to have Biriyani and tandoori items specifically, as I am yet to try any other items...

Tried few items like Paneer Hyderabadi, Paneer Irani Tikka, Chicken Mumtaz, Chicken Lasuni Tikka all were Good at taste, though presentation at plate needs improvement but quality of food matters importantly, which was Good no problem with that..

Ofcourse based on location the price is little bit on higher side ya but based on location they are charging on higher side...

for long shopping day and need to fill your tummy with Yummy Kabaabs then u can go to this one...
Satish Patel
way too much costly as per the taste of food. They have limited variety of food and very less space for tables. They should think about their pricing strategy. I have been there many times only in restraints situation. I never went there willingly.

First look might not impress you - but walking around mall I could not find a good food joint - and stepped in.

Ordered Murg Kadai with some Garlic Roti ... I must tell you .. it was stupendous... I did not expect it that awesome! The spices were so well done - it is inexplicable.

A must eat.

Thank you Tandooriwala!
Sweekruti Mishra
It's a good place to have a quick snack in between shopping in d mall...
Had ordered a chicken reshmi kabab...n it was quite an interesting presentation under a egg white wrap...! Taste was good too and service at its best...only d price and quantity were not at par...but considering its inside this mall...It's okay.
The UnClichéd
Malls and good food, these two generally don't go together, and this outlet is another case in point. It was a hot summer weekday-night in Bangalore, and I had finished some Grocery shopping at the Spar on the floor above this joint. Both my wife and me had had a long tiring day, and we decided to catch a quick dinner here, before heading home. Here is how it went:

Ambience:
Nothing much to look at, except that it was the first match of IPL of the season, and you could catch glimpses of the match on the nearby screen, if you sat at the corners of this restaurant. It has a door-like structure at the entrance, and a cash counter, just as you enter it. Rows of tables, closely arranged, to give a restaurant-like feel, but way too close for my liking. But then again, this is a mall restaurant, and comfort and peace of mind are not really factors that such restaurants consider.

Food:
I have been here a couple of times, and the non-veg kebabs are just about average, when it comes to taste, but the quantity is very less, when compared to the price you pay. I have had the chicken tikka kebab and the banjara kebab here, which are priced upwards of 280 INR.(The menu uploaded here is an old one, prices have increased considerably since then)

I have also had the Chicken Dum Biryani and the Mutton Biryani here, both of which are more like hyderabadi versions of biryani, but a bit toned down. Nothing extraordinary, and priced at INR 250 and INR 300 respectively, the quantity is again on the lower side. The Biryanis are served with an egg and a couple of pieces of meat. Again, the meat was not stale, but not super fresh either.

In vegetarian dishes, I have tried the Dal Makhani, which is again not great at all, along with their butter Naan, which wasn't very soft either.

Service:
This is a self-service place, with a token system in place. I have been here on weekdays, where the place isn't as crowded, so service is reasonably fast. I do not think that this place would be able to handle week-end crowds that easily though.

Cost:
This is definitely not a place that I would call pocket friendly, but being the only 'Restaurant' serving North-Indian food in this mall, you could consider this, only if you are really very short on time, and do not want to gorge of burgers or junk-food.(I would consider Mr. Idly on the same floor, a better option to eat South-Indian food, which lesser oil, and healthier options, albeit vegetarian)

Verdict:
I wouldn't be caught dead having a meal here, unless someone told me, all the North-Indian restaurants nearby are on an indefinite strike, and I was craving some tandoori food.

Worst food ever tasted in bangalore.
Was waiting for movie so decided to have dinner at this restaurant.
Omg..!!!
We ordered chicken tangdi kabab, daal makhni and naan.
Chicken was horrible and 200% rotten. Maybe it wasn't chicken or pigeon maybe.
If any delhite eat daal makhni there will reach mental illness. Daal was awful.
And naan was precooked and heated at serving.
I suggest pls dont go there, or it will ruin your apatite.
Reeshita Sao
Small area but in that limited space the arrangements and decoration looked good. I and my friend had ordered some Hyderabadi kebab, Butter naan, Butter roti and Butter chicken. Oh yes.. a bottle of water too!
The kebab was served with onion and mint chutney, and it was tasty. Butter chicken was tasty too and had enough pieces and gravy for consumption. It was a bit pricey but inside a mall anyway food is supposed to be costly..in a nutshell the experience was good!

The worst food I've ever had, I've been to this place last evening with my family they had a board stating credit card & food cards/food coupons are accepted. When i ordered for a non-veg platter and gave sodexho card they said they will not food cards then why the hell did they keep the board saying so? Later i gave credit card, After 15 min i got my order & it looks fantastic, But when we started eating all the items that came with platter were just so cold as if it was prepared morning and severed in evening. Never mind i compromised and started eating, But then fish started giving foul smell and chicken was just hard & i was irritated to core and decided to leave the food rather getting food poisoning and started leaving the restaurant by then the guy in the cash counter asked why did we leave the food they served, My wife answered that all the items were just so cold and not cooked properly and it did give foul smell and they guy reacted just a big smile which was even more irritating. I could do better BBQ chicken with my Weber grill. This folks should learn how to treat the customer, Maintain quality, sever hot/fresh food and mainly tasty food since we are paying. I would never recommended this restaurant to any one.
Arpit Panigrahi
Absolute waste of money!! Over-priced for tasteless food. The non-veg platter did not have mutton and the fish tasted like it was ages old. Tandoori mushroom was bland. Chicken Hyderabadi was very very spicy (the gravy was basically equivalent to green chilies paste) with 4/5 pieces of chicken with bone. Only one recommendation - AVOID this place!!!
Rajib Mishra
Pathetic food,Worst taste and really poor sevice.
NON veg platter is a strict NO as the fish tastes stale and chicken is also not that good.
Visit at your own riskRanjeet Praharaj Satyaranjan

The food was just fine. Ordered an ideal meal of tandoori rotis with veg curries. Location is nice. They've tried well to create a decent ambience. The snacks/starters are heavily overpriced for some reason. Do try to avoid that. Apart from that its just an okay restaurant.
Abdul Khadeer Mohammed
It's a small place inside gopalan mall...while the food is good to taste escilaly kababs...I still could not relate to the great food.......
Inaaya Chowdhary
Simply waste of money.. overpriced food.. we ordered a veg thali & non veg thali. The starters were bland, no sweet in the end of the meal. The chicken was hard & fibrous. Only the paneer curry, egg curry and the daal was good. Rice was nice. Tandooori roti was hard and cold. Never going again.
Anup Babu
Avoid this place...Very Bad Experience.. Just had a non veg platter.. the Fish and the Hariyali was clearly spoilt and the waiter did not even bother to apologize, waste of Money and free upset stomach !!!!
Neelam Jahan Shaikh
Would not say they have great food.even the space is too small.lacks variety and don't find their tandoori as good as it use to be before.tandoori platter is a must try but again quantity has been reduced drastically.
Malavika Menon
I had an amazing experience at this place. It's located within Signature mall on Old Madras Road, so that makes parking a breeze. The ambience of the place is minimalist and attracting, even though the space is quite small.

We had the non-veg and veg thali, and I was extremely pleased with the food. The kebabs were tasty, the naan even more so.

The food costs just about what one would shell out in a food court, making it a definite value for money.

I would love to be back here sometime again.
Nitish Jaipuria
Totally pathetic food, ordered a handi chicken and butter chicken with naan and a veg starter. The chicken dishes were sweet!! Lost my appetite due to pathetic taste. Please avoid this place.
Renukesh Bingeri(Eat.Travel.Capture)
Visited this place for lunch recently with the expectation of good Friday lunch but disappointment was awaited, We took chicken tandoori and Veg Starter of aloo, Chicken was kind of OK but veg starter was really bad and not at all worth for the money spent.
Then comes the main course being fan a of Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani, Took Veg Biriyani and Chicken Dum Biriyani

Chicken biriyani had no Dum in it , very lame taste of masala and chicken so as the veg biriyani I found more color in all the items we took than taste. Quantity, Quality and Price were not at all relatively in good ratio.

Overall, Highly priced lame food served w

I remember when we first went to this place, we immediately became its fan..:) Daal makhnis were great and so were rotis. Located in the gopalan mall, this is the perfect solution for north Indian cravings. The food is great in taste. Recommended.
Dawa Dolma
I have tried the outlet thats there in gopalan signature mall on old madras road..i have been there many times and the place has never disappointed me.....wether it's chicken or fish, it always feels fresh and soft. Try chicken dum biryani here.it's pretty decent.although I feel the quantity is little less.
Riju Dasgupta
We only had Biryani so the rating is strictly limited to that only. Haven't had a worse biryani till date. felt like puking it out. I am never going back to this place. They are doing a sin by calling it Biryani.

Food was too good and delicious and love all the foods I had here and they need to work on the price. Had a good food and time today😍😍😍😍

Testy food... Excellent food.... Love tandoorvalaaaaaaa Testyyyyy👌👌👌👌
Tandooriwala is one of the most authentic Punjabi that i have had in Bangalore;

This is in OM Road, Opposite to RMZ Infinity. I cant tell you which is dish is more tasty here; as all of them are better than the other.

I never felt any complaint about this restaurant. Space is little congested, but the taste of the food compensate the inconvenience. I recommend this place for small groups for lunch or dinner .. I believe they are open during all hours of the mall timings...
Sukanta Parida
Had lunch on last Sunday here. Opted for veg thali and paneer biriyani. Felt cheated after having food. Especially for veg thali. I would advise never go for veg thali. Qty and quality is not at all worth for money. Giving rating 1 as there is no option for lesser rating.
Soumyadityadey
This place is very costly compared to the quality and quantity of food they serve. Also the place is very small. Better to try other tandoori places rather than this.
Sumit Sethi
It's normal food, nothing very special. Their combos are ok if u take no expectations. Their kababs are very very dry. Don't take parcel on kababs, I ended up throwing them. If you eat sitting there go for the gravy or combos, that's fine.
Sandeep Iytha
Tandooriwala stands up to their name in serving delicious kebab's and Biryani, love their non veg thali which quiet filling and perfect for my appetite, the place is inviting because of my work schedule while am at the mall. They serve good hyd'badi style Biryani and its good.cheers
Sampita Maitra
Decent place..
If you keep your expectations low/nil, food might as well impress you..
We'd ordered for Biriyani combos, both veg and chicken, all were okay.. Kebabs were a bit too dry..
Self service place, open sitting, ambience is exactly that of the mall's.
P.S. Reasonably priced.
Rohit Singh
One of the eateries in Gopalan Mall, Old Madras Road...went there for lunch with friends the restaurant is very small and even the ambiance is bad as it is located just beside escalator lot of crowd just outside the entrance and bit noisy..coming to service it is a self serve restaurant..coming to food..we ordered veg kebab platter and veg thali..veg kebab platter was decent it had paneer, potato, mushroom, cauliflower served with green chutney...but the thali was pathetic..the mix vegetable was yuck..not cooked well excess oil..thali had tandoori aloo as starter which was only thing graceful.
Aishmita Aggarwal
We went to the mall behind Big Bazaar for some shopping. Also stopped by Tandooriwala for some casual lunch. The place was empty at around 4. It has an open outlet with kind of less spaced tables. The ambience was ok. We ordered the usual dal makhani paneer makhani and roti naan combo. I must agree we were not expecting anything from this place, but the food turned out to be great, both by the looks and taste. I will recommend it for norh indian food lovers.
Sagnik Bhadra
We went there for an unplanned casual dinner. Contrary to the other reviews, we quite liked the food. We ordered butter roti, chicken butter masala, jeera rice and lassi. Chicken was nice but a bit more sweet. The lassi was really nice. Overall, the food was good. There is nothing to talk about the ambience. The biggest drawback of the outlet is that it has self service.

Otherwise a nice place to hangout with friends for food.
Nilabja Saha
Had gone for a quick veg lunch situated inside the Gopalan Signature mall.
Ordered for Paneer tandoor, roti, naan and veg kadhai.
Paneer tandoor tasted okay, as the outside were spicy but inside it was bland. Roti and naans were super expensive of each being 70/-.
Veg kadhai was just okay.
Not a recommended place when u have other options around.
Mathews Jose
Went to this place with friends today.Actually we went to Gopalan Signature Mall for movie and after that felt like having dinner from there itself. So we came across this place..The place is really noisy as it is open restaurant and inside a mall.Chicken tikka and veg platter what we ordered was just average..Fish biriyanni was just OK.In summary the place is not worth the money they are charging.
Vaibhav Gandhi
We happened to get hungry at Gopalan mall, so thought of trying out this restaurant, which looked decent, inspite of seeing horrible reviews! Took us 5 minutes to realise this is a self service outlet. Went to place order, and the guy at the counter says "one minute" stands there looking around...after about half a minute, serves someones order and then he is ready to take the order! Weird! Ordered for a Paneer tikka and Murg masala.
It was one of the worse paneer so ever had, almost bland, rubbery paneer with raw masala, even after being burnt on all edges. The Chicken was tasteless too had no flavour and less salt. They probably keep boiled chicken ready and just add in the gravy! Tandoor Rotis were approximately 30% burnt . It's place is running just because there's no other North Indian restaurant in the mall.
Alwin
We had ordered mutton Biriyani and chicken tikka. Was very tasty. Stewards were extremely courteous and helpful. Biriyani quantity was good too.
Arnab De
There should be an option for negative rating in Zomato. Giving 1 rating to this place because can't give a minus rating. Located inside Signature mall, this restaurant does not live up to the expectations. Ambience is pretty noisy as expected. The food could have compensated the lack of good ambience. But the food was pretty bland in taste for my palate. Went there few days back with my sister and brother in law. We ordered 2 non-veg thalis and Butter chicken with kulcha. The food was absolutely pathetic and a bit costly too. I felt that their chef needs proper training. Never coming back again!!
Nusrat Bano
Pretty good place for non veg food. Had been there many times and always lived the good. Chicken tikka, tandoori chicken is good. Have tried fish tikka which was you spicy. Good value of money. Waiting time is also not high.
Raza Mohamed
I like the Briyani also tired tandoor I was very impressed, food was good quality and large we have tried eating in and takeaway and both good. A hidden gem. Surely gonna visit again.

Somnath Singh
Its a shame in the name of tandoor . I have ordered chicken tandoor today and it appeared pathetic, the meat inside is hard (whiteish) , tough and chewy like rubber thread .On the worst they over burned the tandoor to develop black burned marks in many places and it tasted bitter . Overall paying 200 bucks for having two pieces of tough, burned, bitter chicken tandoor which not only wasted my money but the mood too .
Jay
1 because one cannot rate any lower.

Typically while reviewing a restaurant, I talk about ambience, food quality, value for money. Here, I will make an exception.
So, here it goes -

If you are reading this review and you are thinking of having dinner here (simply because you're hungry and the restaurant name looks appealing). Please choose another restaurant. Unless of course, you like raw chicken covered with masala.
Manju Manjunatha
it is a good service in old madars road tondooriwala thandri chikken supper hydarabde biryani also good prepared and taste was good every time i have vist to thandorriwalla
Aman Gupta
This is a self-service place, realiased after 10 mins when no one asked for order. The place is located inside Gopalan Signature Mall so is convenient to have food after movie or shopping. Started with Afghani Chicken which was good but not exceptional. In Main course, had Fish Masala which was well prepared and taste was good and again nothing unique about it. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.
Amritpalsinghbains
Beware everyone. Not value for money and serves raw chicken. Raw chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For just 299/- you get an amazing non-veg thali! Although the thali isn't unlimited, the quantity of food served is adequate. The service is pretty fast too!
Mir Dilbar Raza
visited this place at gopalan mall, good quality food and worth a visit.Thali is value for money and quick service. Will visit again and again...

Worst briyani ever had .... It's a small self serve food joint in Gopalan signature mall on old Madras road. I tried non-veg thali and it was a disappointment. Taste of egg curry was pretty bad. The curry looked like a bowl of oil and water. And they give you chicken biryani rice (not chicken biryani) in thali. ;-)
This place is definitely not value for money.
Hrishi Bhoir @TheGallivanter
It is self service restaurant where starters, main-course and desserts will be serve at the same time, so you will be in mere confusion which you need to eat when it is hot and which one to leave.
Masala papad and tandoori are the dishes this guys prepare sort of well, if you ask them medium spicy they will give you normal plain, and so the trend continues.
SamGekko
Tandooriwala is an idea to serve North Indian cuisine served in a factory model, the way McD, KFC and SUBWAY dish out their stuff over the counters - unfortunately, there was no imagination invested, and therefore, you find empty seats on weekends as well.Kebabs are usually starters and get followed up by a main course; Rotis that need to be refilled because you want to have them hot and as per your appetite - when you have a format where you go over to a counter at one end, pay first, get a coupon and wait for the dish to arrive, how do you have your Kebabs and Main Course; or how do you get the 4th roti that you want to eat but haven't billed for yet? You walk up to the counter in the middle of your meal, let the accompaniments and gravies brave the AC's chill, come back to your seat and watch the chicken shrink as the clock ticks, go back to the counter and get your 2nd order. Or, as the Tandooriwalas would like to believe, you need to know how much you'll eat, and how quick - there are other trivial things that they don't bother about, one of them being, 'why people eat out?'!Let me now come to the fun part of this entire experience - the whole of the Main Course at Tandooriwala does not have a single Boneless Chicken dish (hope you can believe that to happen a place that calls itself Tandooriwala). Audacity finds new levels when you find that your Special Kheema Naan has no Kheema in it - instead it's showered with a few little shreds of chicken pulled out from chicken tikkas.Tandooriwala is a shame of a place - it is neither a hotel, nor a fast food joint. It is someone's vile idea of making a quick buck by investing money renting a busy mall's floor space.
Raghunandan Gupta
We were mistaken by it's name. They are as bad as College Mess, Seriously. Although they serve biryani pretty well. Neither the Cost, nor the taste is upto the mark. I guess, being at good location they are surviving. Service is (self service) poor too.
Ashiq Asharaf
Tried their assorted tandoori platter and it was good, especially the fish tandoori, which was very good. Overall a good experience with food and atmosphere. The service can be made better.
Chanjal S Kumar
I did not like the food here at all. Abience and arrangement is quite good. But selfservice for a complete meal reastaurant ... well .....not my choice. I tried biriyani from here. It tasted more like an attempt of lucknowi biriyani but not upto mark atall. Butter naans were rubberlike. Tandoori chicken didnt have the kick in their flavour and murg kalimirch was a disaster. In total i wouldnt revisit this place.
Naveen Kumar
As there was no other restaurants in that mall I had no choice than stepping into Tandooriwala. Ordered 3 biryanis and a chicken malai tikka. Surprisingly the biryani was too good. Nice taste. But the malai tikka was overpriced for the given quantity. Otherwise it was good.
Deepak Khandelwal
Worst Dal of my life I have tasted here and pissed off...

They don't know how to prepare food , the taste was pathetic. I was excited by the name but made a mistake.
Kaushik Das
The place is ok to be at... The service is pretty up to the mark... Coming to the menu, there is a drastic change... Items like paneer butter masala n mushroom have been removed.. Very less options to eat naan or kulcha with. Very bad... Tandoori is delicious... Starter option is pathetic as it starts with papad... Biryani is what I crave for in tandooriwala....
Tharak Abraham
Well..don't get carried off by their name as there's nothing new here.
A so so north Indian eatery. Probably these folks should go out and do some homework before it's too late.
Gopika AD
The menu was ordinary but the food tasted good.
Overall,
Ambience - 2/5
Food - 3/5
Service - 2/5
Liked it once, but I would think twice before visiting this place again.
Veera
This place is close to my home and felt great when it was new. But overtime it has clearly degraded and now I find myself hardly going here and always choosing other options over than this when I'm in the mall.
Ajay Rao
The funny thing about Tandooriwala is that his tandoori food is not as good as the Mughlai biriyani he serves. We have ordered in on a number of occasions now and have been pleased with his chicken/mutton mughlai biriyani every time. As some other reviewer mentioned, his tikkas and kebabs are a bit on the drier/tougher side. And tough meat with less masala is no fun to eat at all. The same chicken in his biriyani miraculously becomes really tender and beautifully seasoned. The downside is that such places usually never last more than 2-3 years and are good only for take away/ordering in.
Nisha G Nair
One of the best place I have ever visited in Bangalore clean n neat n hygiene place.and delicious food ..this is definite a place to eat
Sana Zahra
It's a awesome place to dine.. With less rate compare to other restaurants... As my office located in front of gopalan mall me & my colleagues make sure to eat every friday's , there varieties of chicken.... Its yum.... Full marks to tandoori wala

I did not find anything to be impressed with in this place.
The rotis were hard the reshmi kabab chicken were hard and no taste. The dal was watery. The hyderabadi veg was full of garlic.
I have eaten at roadside places which serve better food.
The place is costly as well.
My first and the last time I go there.

Ugh. So bad.. so ..so bad. Horrible service+ Horrible food.

I seriously have no words to describe the horror we had to face at this food joint. Cold rubber rotis.. Veg curry with no vegetables whatsoever. We couldn’t figure out what parts of chicken were served to us in tandoori chicken. *Skeptical. And all this took ages to prepare. I wonder what they were doing in the kitchen. Making rotis and then waiting for them to cool off?!
Dal was the only eatable thing.
All in all, Tandooriwala is a definite no no for me and my friends from now on. People beware before you get lured into this attractive looking joint. I will recommend to stay away from the place.

We often visit this place when we go to Gopalan mall..

Always have tried tandoori roti/Nan with a Gravy.. We ordered Paneer tikka butter masala but they just had huge pieces of plain paneer in the ground tomato gravy..

The gravy always feels raw ..the masala feels like just ground tomatoes..

The quantity is also not great for the price we pay for a gravy..The quantity looks good..but it just comes to ~5 spoons of the gravy..

Tandooriwala is a small place in Gopalan mall. Went there on a Friday evening. You have to order at their counter, pay, and then sit and wait for food to come. We ordered tandoori chicken for starters. The tandoori chicken was well made, soft, nicely marinated pieces of meat with a tangy green chutney and crunchy onions. I must say, full points for that one. Their Butter Kucha was ok, nothing extraordinary, and very less butter. We also ordered Kheema Mattar, but we were disappointed, It was a mattar gravy with few tiny pieces of mutton floating around. This is definately not "KHEEMA". I would have been happier if they had just said that they do not have kheema. The gravy was good, but then again, when you wait to have kheema mattar and you get this, you can be nothing but disappointed.
Full marks for tandoori chicken. But zero for the Kheema.

Decent food, specially the thali was quite good the portions seemed small but turned out to be enough very well made tikka's. Dal was the real high point. Would be better if the call out numbers to collect your order are not in regional language.

Cheers

This restaurant serves worst food in entire Bangalore. Better quality food is served by road side hawkers than this restaurant. The staff don't even bother to serve table salt and don't think it is necessary to ask for water. And for all these what they serve is not at all justified. Better to avoid this place.
